I’m truly honored to be here, because New York is my hometown. I spent most of my life here. I’m a New Yorker, and it’s so good to be back. It’s been almost, maybe, a decade since I’ve been back in America. We’ve been doing work in Asia. Just driving to this venue, I noticed every restaurant on this street is a different restaurant, so international; Japanese next to Chinese, Portuguese, Mexican, Indian. Everything was represented. It was one melting pot, and you realize, “My God, America is amazing.” All different races, nationalities. Look around you, look at your neighbor. We’re all different, but we’re all one. It’s really amazing. It’s such an honor to be here.

More than anyone, True Mother wanted to be here. She gave me that call in the morning saying, “You have to go to America. You have to bring this message. So many of the leaders and religious leaders who all worked with True Parents to save America during these 20 years are all coming.” She told me countless stories, and her memory is amazing. I was truly inspired, and I was like, “Absolutely. Whatever you say. We must bring your message and your heart.” So she sends her love, her prayer and her blessing with this message.

Respected and beloved government and civic leaders, and especially the members of the clergy who represent not only the Christian family of faiths but also the wider family of religions!

It is my honor and privilege to be here with you today in New York City and celebrating 20 years of the True Family Values ministry.

I want to acknowledge the members of the ACLC (American Clergy Leadership Conference) who are here today, as well as representatives of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, UPF (Universal Peace Federation) and other NGOs.

If you are like me, nowadays—and I am sure you are—there isn’t a day that goes by where you wonder where our world is headed. It sometimes seems like our world is falling apart. On the one hand, we’re facing the impact of climate changes that threaten the viability of the planet, including the quality of our air, water and the food chain. In addition, the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Ukraine and the terror attacks in Europe, here in our homeland, and other places are threatening global order and global stability. And, in the communities and on the streets of America’s cities there are cries for justice as gun violence and shootings darken the headlines.

Sometimes the challenges of life can seem almost too much to bear. However, if we reflect on the power of love, faith, benevolence and goodness, we open up to the light. We begin to appreciate heroes among us who, by their example, their vision and their words, show us the way out of the darkness and lead us to the light. They give us hope. To all of the heroes in this room—men and women and families of faith, love, and goodness who serve a higher purpose and live to create a world of peace and one family under God—today I thank you all for being our American heroes of peace.

There have been two major people in my life who have always inspired me, even in the darkest times. They are my parents, and to the worldwide family our True Parents have lived a sincere life of absolute faith in God, lived with an unwavering will to serve humanity and instill a global consciousness of good, with fearless determination, absolute love and selfless devotion for the sake of humankind and creation. There is no other person on this earth who can match my father’s life example—may God bless him— since his ascension three years ago. But if ever there was a woman of absolute pure love, devotion, faith and goodness that was his balance, his counterpart, the complete harmony of true love in life—that would be my mother. She has devoted her life, family, and served over 50 years in their public mission to serve humankind. She is my light and amazing example of true love. She is my hero.

Despite losing her husband of 52 years and the father to their 14 children; despite being now in this physical world without the irreplaceable half that makes her whole; and despite losing her one and only true love, my mother, True Mother, never stops to focus on, or complain about, her own difficulties. On the contrary, she always looks to ease the pain of others, giving out love and hope, and calling us all to embrace a victorious future, building one universal family under God, our Heavenly Parent.

I know that when my parents and my family came to this nation, they had the highest hopes that this nation would be a light unto the world and an exemplary nation that served as a loving elder brother to the community of nations around the world … a superpower of justice, peace, faith and widespread prosperity—north, south, east and west.

In order for America to achieve this goal, they promoted interreligious dialogue, good governance, and soft-power approaches to peace. They initiated character education programs for youth, worked to empower women and girls, advocated renewal and reform of the United Nations, developed businesses guided by ethical principles, and invested in the development of responsible, objective media institutions.

They believed that this quest for peace was the most important task of our time.

At the center of this effort was the family. This is why their entire ministry was centered on the Blessing, to build God-centered marriages and families. They always taught us that the primary school for teaching ethics, justice and true love is the family. If we build marriages and families of true love, and we expand that realm of true love, we can build communities, cities, nations and a world of true love. We become brothers and sisters who love and care for one another.

This is Heavenly Parent’s ideal, and this is True Parents’ ideal. We need to build loving families and communities based on the principle of true love, forgiveness, unity and compassion. Gathered here with all of you, our brothers and sisters, our heroes of faith, I know this ideal can be realized in this great nation. With the warmth and cheer of the holiday season, I pray that you and your precious families can all be abundantly blessed and joyful, and may this nation find that we are all one family under God and we should all celebrate each moment with love, faith and gratitude. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Aju!

I have been asked by my mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, to represent her today and to present her message, which she wanted to share with you. She could not be here, but her heart is with us. Also, my father’s heart is our eternal light and he is always with us. He is looking down on us from the spiritual world. I am sure he is smiling and sending loving blessings to you all.

Please bear with me now as I do my best to present my mother’s message.

True Mother’s Message

Respected ladies and gentlemen from home and abroad. Beloved leaders who have strived to establish true family values. The fulfillment of Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation is rooted in family values. However, we see that those values are rapidly deteriorating. It was in order to firmly establish true family values and fulfill Heavenly Parents’ will to establish one family under God, that my late husband, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, and I began our providential work in the USA in 1971. Since that time, we have devoted ourselves to advocate true family ideals and God’s.

Heaven especially prepared and blessed the US, so we can become a pillar of the global providence of restoration. However, my husband and I can see the tragic deterioration of family values in America. Therefore, in 1996, my husband and I invited more than 5,000 religious leaders from all over America to Washington, D.C. to awaken the nation, teaching them about the absolute centrality of true family values. The content of this education program was to inspire the clergy, who had gathered on that occasion, to resolve to participate in a great movement that could save America by restoring true family values centered on God, our Heavenly Parent.

I know that many of you who are seated here today have dedicated yourselves to this great endeavor. It is through your devotion, your efforts through these many years, that the movement has grown and that now we are able to celebrate this meaningful 20th anniversary. I’d like to offer my heartfelt gratitude for your tremendous work. I’d also like to congratulate today’s award recipients.

We are born in the bosom of the family and we grow within the family. The family is our origin, our starting point, our school of love. The universal truth and values embedded in the family transcend religion, culture, race and nationality. Our Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation when He created Adam and Eve as the first human ancestors was for them to fulfill His commandments; namely to be fruitful, multiply and have dominion over creation. However, due to the first Fall of the human ancestors, our Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation was unfulfilled. As a result, our Heavenly Parent was unable to experience the happiness of true love within an ideal family. Furthermore, throughout the course of fallen human history, true family values were trampled on swept away into oblivion.

If we consider the history of the rise and fall of civilizations, we observe the decline of family contributes to the decline of civilizations. For example, we can generally agree that Western civilization traces to Hebraism and Hellenism. As great as these traditions are, they tended to emphasize the individual more than the family. They did not find a clear vision for ideal family, nor a forceful declaration of true family values rooted in Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation. Eventually as Western civilization increasingly raised individualistic ideals and philosophies, a culture centered on individualism emerged. Contrary to God’s will, the basic unit of all relationships in society and the nation was not believed to be the family. Instead, it became the individual. All relationships, including those between parents and children, came to be defined as a kind of legal or contractual relationship, similar to which that exists between a ruler and citizens.

This was a grave error. Once the relationship between parents and children is fundamentally in terms of a contractual relationship, involving personal interests of the parents and children, parent and child relations can come to not be understood in the terms of heavenly morality, but rather on the terms of human morality. Today, the human family is divided and the throes of war are at every level. We’re fighting with every living being and creation, arming ourselves against eco wars, religious wars, territorial wars, political wars, racial wars, community shootings making our backyard, our hometown, into a war field.

When we witness these heinous crimes against the human family, we are heartbroken and can’t empathize with the devastating pain of God’s heart. Anyone can say that the world we live in today is not an ideal world where we all live in peace and harmony with our global brothers and sisters as one family under God. I believe that the root cause of these problems lies in the loss of true family values. The US was blessed by our Heavenly Parent with the ideal mission of establishing not only one nation under God, but one family under God.

Today, this ideal is alive even though the erosion of family values is threatening the very foundation of this nation. Divorce rates exceeding 50% are directly undermining the sanctity of marriage and family. Unprecedented liberal issues about sex amongst teenagers and free sex among young people are seriously shaking the core of this nation. Aware and concerned of this sad reality, Rev. Moon and I answered Heaven’s call to come and heal an ailing America. In 1971, Rev. Moon left his homeland to come to America. Throughout his life, he devoted his life to restore America’s moral and spiritual roots in order to revive this great nation. As he toured the US, from shore to shore, Rev. Moon boldly proclaimed, “God has sent me in the role of the doctor, the role of the firefighter. That is why I have come to America.”

Beloved leaders, what kind of country is the nation where you were born? What kind of nation are you living in? What dreams did your ancestors hold dear when they were on the shores? What ideals did they strive to practice and cultivate in this nation? When the Pilgrim fathers sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, under the most adverse conditions, surviving deadly storms and various setbacks, their only ray of hope was God, their Heavenly Parent. After arriving and settling on the new continent, almost half the Pilgrims died of starvation in the first year. Yet, despite the famine, the Pilgrims thought about future generations and they stored seeds in anticipation for the next growing season rather than eating them.

During these times, their only hope was to connect to Heavenly Parent. Later, the Founding Fathers of this nation risked their lives and fought a David versus Goliath battle for independence against Britain with their hope and trust in God and Heavenly Parent. In their hearts and minds, God was everything. Their resolve and determination to attend Heavenly Parent was truly great and holy. During the war for independence, Britain was a global superpower. The king and British soldiers united and fought for their empire; however, the Founding Fathers loved God their Heavenly Parent above all. They united and fought to advance God’s will. Their sincerity and sacrifice moved the governing of Heaven. As a result, our Heavenly Parent answered the call of his sons and daughters, who were fighting bravely in this great conflict. As a result, the United States of America, the land of religious freedom was born.

America boldly showed the world that, despite having people of many different languages and cultures, it was possible to build one nation under God, and eventually one family under Heavenly Parent. Unfortunately, the holiness that once characterized America has fallen into a decline. Influenced by selfcentered rise, a materialistic culture and challenges of the weakening of spirituality and morality, America has grown increasingly secular. As a result, its core foundation has been shaken. Rev. Moon could see that God has become distant in the hearts of people. Even in families, in schools, some churches, it had been difficult to feel Heavenly Parent’s loving presence. God was leaving America.

Looking back, it only seemed like yesterday when, 50 years ago, Rev. Moon and I walked down Manhattan’s 5th Ave with tears in our eyes, and felt that God, the Heavenly Parent, was leaving America. I vividly remember us crying our hearts out when we held onto Him in desperation. With that heart, we pledged our absolute determination to lead a spiritual awakening in this nation. Beloved leaders, what were the founding ideals of America? What ideals of Christianity led to the birth of the US? Two thousand years ago Jesus was born on this earth as the begotten son and Messiah. What were his ideals and what was his mission?

Jesus’s mission was to establish the kingdom of God and to build one great, big global family under Heavenly Parent. As the only begotten son, he was to meet the only begotten daughter prepared by Heaven, hold the marriage of the lamb, and form a family, tribe, people, nation and world that would lead to the fulfillment of God’s original ideal of creation. This world would be one united world with no divisions of culture, race and nationality. It will be a world where Heavenly Parent could fully love and live in oneness with True Parents and all humanity as His beloved sons and daughters. Tragically, due to the faithlessness of the people at that time, Jesus faced great resistance and persecution and was unable to meet the only begotten daughter Heaven had prepared for him. Therefore, he could not hold the marriage of the lamb and the position of True Parents could not be established at that time. Even though Jesus, together with the Holy Spirit, brings spiritual salvation to humanity, the ideal of True Parents, the ideal of the king and queen of peace had yet to be fulfilled.

This is why Jesus had to promise, even as he hung on the cross, that he would come again. Jesus’s profound anguish was expressed when he said in Matthew 23:37, “…how often I have longed to gather your children together as hens gather their chicks under their wings, and you were not willing.” These words still resonate deep within my heart.

Beloved leaders, my late husband, Rev. Moon, and I clearly understood the suffering and sorrowful situation of Heaven and Jesus, whose death on the cross was not God’s original will. We therefore wanted to comfort and uplift Jesus as he should have been in his lifetime. In 2003, we organized a program in Jerusalem to honor and crown Jesus as the king of peace. We wanted to restore his having been misunderstood and rejected 2,000 years ago. Also, since the cross was a sorrowful reminder that he was not received by the people of his time, we also engaged in a global movement to take down the crosses in the churches. However, these endeavors alone did not completely free Heavenly Parent and Jesus from the historical pain and sorrow. In fact, we now understand that 2,000 years of Christianity has been the providential course to eventually find the only begotten daughter, fulfill the marriage of the lamb, and establish the long awaited position of True Parents.

Dear leaders, in 1960 Rev. Moon and I, standing in the presence of God in the position of the only begotten son and only begotten daughter prepared by Heaven, received the Holy Marriage Blessing as the True Parents. Since that time, by the Holy Wedding, our lives have been focused on following goals to liberate Heavenly Parent who is the cosmic True Parent, restore His lost position as our Parent, and to save the fallen and lost human beings from the realm of death and suffering, and return humanity to the bosom of Heavenly Parent. In order to achieve this ideal, Rev. Moon and I had to overcome unspeakable hardships and innumerable difficulties. Overcoming all these obstacles, we led and carried humanity which had fallen into a state of being like an orphan with no parents along to the path of salvation.

The sayings, “seven failures will lead to success on the eighth” and “risk your life and invest yourself entirely to the cause” accurately characterized the course of the life that we have led. True Father came to this earth as the only begotten son of Heavenly Parent, and he met me, the only begotten daughter who Heaven had prepared for 6,000 years. Together, we strove each day of our lives to embrace all humanity with a heart of True Parents. However, this meant that our life together would never be stable, or serene. It is akin to sailing on a vast ocean during a deadly storm. Nevertheless, Rev. Moon, as the True Father, completely fulfilled his mission, and prior to his ascension he earnestly asked and entrusted all humanity the mission to fulfill their own responsibility as heavenly Tribal Messiahs.

Beloved leaders, at the time of my husband’s third ascension memorial, standing before Heavenly Parent and the entire Unification community, this is what I promised True Father: “True Father, from now on please do not worry. We will absolutely fulfill our responsibility. Please, be free and ascend to your eternal resting place, to comfort God, the Heavenly Parent, who has been lonely until now.”

Beloved leaders, you are witnesses to the kind of life our couple has led, and in order to realize the will of Heavenly Parent, you know the sincere efforts we have made to save and revive this nation that has been blessed by Heaven. I am certain that your truthful eyes and your truthful ears have helped you understand for whom and for what ideals we dedicate our lives.

Beloved leaders, let us stand up for our Heavenly Parent who, for 6,000 years of human history, has anxiously searched for His lost children. Let us remember the Pilgrim Fathers who, with their hearts of the children desperately seeking for their Heavenly Parent, travelled thousands of miles across treacherous Atlantic Ocean and settled in America during the harshest of winters. Let us remember the people who came to this country from all over the world in search of religious freedom. Let us remember how they overcame persecution and suffering, so that America could take root as a land of faith. Let us remember their ardent devotion and sincere faith and their lofty aspirations. God, our Heavenly Parent, abundantly blessed America as a pillar of His providence. Let this beautiful nation once again attend Heavenly Parent. Let us revive and transform America into nation where ideals of family are alive, a nation where Heavenly Parent can freely move, dance and sing together with us.

If you devote yourselves to fulfilling this goal, Heaven and the unified nation of Cheon Il Guk will certainly remember each and everyone of you. I pray that love and blessings of Heavenly Parent be with you and your families. May Heavenly Parent truly bless America. Aju. Thank you.

Did you miss me? How much? With longing as large as the whole world? It is good to see you. Mostly women seem to be here. Is that because this is the age of women? Yes it is. When I spoke to the Top Gun trainees the other day, I told them we need to take the path toward settlement of Cheon Il Guk, not merely occupation. The Chinese character “an” [安] in anchak [settlement], is formed from the characters of a woman under the character for “house,” which is the character for “security.”

In the world, a large house was built. Who is the owner of the house? Is it the man? Is it the woman? In Korea, we call the husband bakat-yangban [literally, the outside nobleman] and we call the wife anbang-manim [literally, the woman of the main room]. The husband is the owner of the male side of a [traditional, divided by sex] house and the outside. What this means is that in the context of the providential history, the woman’s role is important.

When God made the creation, he said that it was beautiful. He said that it looked good. Thus, he created one man and one woman, Adam and Eve, and blessed them. Why? He gave Adam and Eve responsibility. God’s wish and Adam and Eve’s wish needed to coincide. God wanted to become the parent of humankind. Not just a spiritual parent; he wanted to become the visible parent of the substantial world. Therefore, he created the universe. He gave a growth period to Adam and Eve.

That period, the growth period, was one in which they were to be responsible while in an absolute position with God. Had they reached perfection, God would have blessed Adam and Eve. God carried out the providence so that they would become the first true ancestors, the true parents of humankind. Yet, what happened? When you look at human history today, we can tell that this does not fulfill the purpose of creation as God had planned. Isn’t that right? [Yes] This history of humankind, or the six-thousandyear history in the Bible, is the providential history of restoration through indemnity that God has been searching for to establish human ancestors.

For example, God was conducting the providence to establish good individuals and a good people in the evil, satanic world. At that time, the satanic world had formed many nations. Thus, God prepared the chosen people, the Israelites, until they possessed the standards of a nation. He sent his only begotten son, who could personally carry out God’s providence and who could subjugate the satanic world.

The day that the Israelites had hoped for had finally come. Yet, what happened? They did not support and attend the only begotten son of God, which was their portion of responsibility. They did not fulfill their ultimate responsibility as the chosen people. The Roman Empire was very strong during that era. Rome held so much initiative that they were said to have global influence. However, Mary, who was a central figure, did not even fulfill her responsibility.

Because the Israelites, who had been prepared as an entire people, the central people, for four thousand years, could not fulfill their responsibility, Jesus had nowhere to stand.

In conclusion, he had no alternative but to die on the cross. As he died, he said that he would come again. He even explained what that meant by saying that he would hold the marriage supper of the Lamb. When we look at this, just as God had created the universe and created Adam and Eve, his having sent his only begotten son on the providential course of restoration through indemnity means there should also be an only begotten daughter of God. Do you understand? I should go to see who is sitting in the back.

What is seeing my up close like? Hmm? Ureshi? [Japanese for: Are you happy?] It is good to see you. I love you.

Where did I leave off? There is also a position for God’s only begotten daughter. The two-thousand-year Christian providential history was the providence of searching for God’s only begotten daughter. That makes sense, doesn’t it? However, Christians are unaware of this. This is the Christianity that came about through the history of the Holy Spirit in Mark’s upper room. Jesus was unable to say much during the three years of his public ministry. He could not bring Heaven’s secrets, the truth, to light. Thus, he retained it in his heart and said, “I will come again.” Yet, even though the Christian church, which needed to prepare the foundation, did not know about providential history or about the origin, they still prepared for two thousand years under the Holy Spirit.

HakJaHan-151206a-2.PNG

World War II, between democracy and communism, made possible the birth of the democratic world and prepared people to welcome the coming of the Lord. America should have fulfilled her responsibility, but because she did not, Father had to carry out the providence while shedding tears of blood to save the world and to save America during the forty years he lived there. The end of the cold war… You probably heard earlier that an ACLC [American Clergy Leadership Conference] took place in Chicago. To save America and the world, Father extensively educated people on all levels of society, to those of high status through the International Conference for the Unity of the Sciences and the Professors World Peace Academy.

Back then, the way that America received Father at first was quite refreshing. Yet, some communists and Christian people set him up, and they put in Danbury prison in 1985. At that time Father said to declare the “end of communism” through ICUS. Dr. Morton Kaplan, who is still alive today, was the president of the conference then. His knowledge of Eastern and Western politics was quite extensive; he was a worldrenowned scholar. Father called Dr. Kaplan to visit Danbury prison and said, “Tell them now that communism will perish.”

When Dr. Kaplan thought about the global reputation he had built up until then, and he feared speaking nonsense. So he said to Father, “I think I would like to say “maybe.”” He said this about three times, but Father said, “”No.” Say that it will perish.”

Do you know where this was declared? It happened at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland, near where the Soviet Embassy was. At that place, it was declared that communism would fall. Back then, communism still had great power. However, didn’t it collapse a few years later? What happened to communism five years later? What happened? Do you know how your Parents carried out the providence, which no one knew of? Hmm? That’s not all is it?

We traveled around the globe hundreds of times for the providence for forty or fifty years. However, what was Father’s last request to us? Hmm? You need to take responsibility for the united world that God and humanity yearn and hope for, the time when Cheon Il Guk can be established.

Originally, a nation should have welcomed the Messiah and he should have been able to carry out the global providence on a national foundation. Heaven had prepared that path, but human beings, Christians and the Christian church, did not fulfill their responsibilities. Due to this situation, True Parents had to recreate an environment that had been lost and make their way up from the bottom. Those were such painful days!

God opened the way for human beings, through a long period, six thousand years, to be in a blessed position in which they are able to participate. He sent True Parents to earth, but because the environment was not ready, True Parents themselves had to pioneer from the bottom. This providential history of restoration through indemnity was heartbreaking. God alone knows about this path. People have been reborn and have blessed families through True Parents, but those people should not stop there. They have the responsibility to restore their tribe, their people and their nation, but they have not fulfilled their responsibilities.

Do you know that Dae-mo nim’s work began because such an environment was not made, not even up to the time of Father’s ascension? Dae-mo nim. You know her, don’t you? Dae-mo nim’s task was to carry out God’s command. Even though many blessed families are in the human world, they did not make an environment fit for the True Father, the True Parents, the returning Lord, the Savior and the King of Kings. There were only ignorant people who did not understand Father’s position, but Dae-mo nim knew the providential history.

As I said before, the two-thousand-year Christian history was the providence of searching for God’s only begotten daughter. The only begotten daughter of God... The only begotten daughter of God needed to be born as God’s daughter, separate from the satanic world. I was the one who possessed such a standard. The world did not know, but Satan knew.

Therefore, the moment I was born, Satan said, “Because you were born I am doomed. So I will kill you,” and he tried to kill me. However, Dae-mo nim fought and won. Thus, I am here today. Do you understand? Dae-mo nim had a Christian background and understood God’s providential history. She lived her whole life in a position similar to that of a nanny who bore God’s only begotten daughter. Heavenly Parent knew this. Therefore, what did Dae-mo nim, who was in the spirit world, do for blessed children on earth who were ignorant of the providence even when they had been told? She had to choose right? Thus, the Cheon Pyeong work began.

Dae-mo nim is in the position in which she fulfilled the whole of her responsibility to eternally attend Father as the returning Lord, the King of Kings. That was her role. Now she is busier in the spirit world with her providence. Chung Pyung is now in the position where it has grown within an established order, and if each individual offers devotion united with True Parents, they can personally experience Dae-mo nim’s work. Do you understand? [Yes]

You need to be aware of this. She lived her entire life publically and attended the returning Lord. In the sight of heaven and earth, she was truly loyal. You need to know this. That is why not just anyone can carry out Mother’s role. No one but me can. Do you understand?

If you go forward, one in heart, one in body, one in harmony and one ideologically with me, can you be victorious or not? [We can.] You are blessed people. There are seven billion people in the world. How is it that you met me? Blessed families have been made through me. Right?

You should live your lives each day with a grateful hearts and live for the future for as long as you are alive. This is the fatherland of faith. This is the original homeland. I need to create a new culture. Will you cooperate with that, or not? Therefore, I am trying to make Korea the world’s holy ground within ten years.

I hope that you will take part in this. Please take care of your health. Let’s accomplish this great work together.

It is good to see you.

Yet, even though the Christian church, which needed to prepare the foundation, did not know about the providential history or about the origin, they still prepared for two thousand years under the Holy Spirit. World War II, between democracy and communism, made it possible, made the birth of the democratic world possible and prepared people to welcome the coming of the Lord.

America should have fulfilled her responsibility but because he did not, Father had to carry out the providence while shedding tears of blood to save the world and to save America during the forty years he lived there. To save America and the world, Father extensively educated people through the International Conference for the Unity of Sciences (ICUS) or the Professors World Peace Academy.

Back then, the way that America received Father at first was quite refreshing. Yet, some communists and Christian people set him up, and they put him in Danbury prison. At that time, Father said to declare the "end of communism" through ICUS. Dr. Morton Kaplan, who is still alive today, was the president of the conference then. His knowledge of Eastern and Western politics was quite extensive; he was a worldrenowned scholar.

HakJaHan-151206-4.png

Father called Dr. Kaplan to visit Danbury prison and said, "Tell them this time that communism will perish." When Dr. Kaplan thought about the global reputation he had built up until then, he feared speaking nonsense. So, he said to Father, "I think I would like to say "maybe." He said this about three times, but Father said, "No. Say that it will perish."

So where was this declared? Do you know? It was at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland, near where the Soviet Embassy was. At that place, it was declared that communism would fall. Back then, communism still had great power.

Do you know how your Parents carried out the providence which no one knew of? That's not all is it? We traveled around the globe hundreds of times for the providence for forty or fifty years. However, what was Father's last request to us? You need to take responsibility for the united world that God and humanity yearn and hope for. The time when Cheon Il Guk can be established.

Originally, a nation should have welcomed the Messiah and he should have been able to carry out the global providence on a national foundation. Heaven had prepared that path, but the Christian church did not fulfill their responsibilities. Due to this situation, True Parents had to re-create an environment that had been lost and make their way up from the bottom. Those were such painful days!

God opened the way for humankind through the long period of six thousand years, to be in a blessed position where it is able to participate. He sent the True Parents to earth, but because the environment was not ready, True Parents themselves had to pioneer from the bottom. This providential history of restoration through indemnity was heartbreaking. It is a path that only God knows.

People have been reborn and have Blessed families through True Parents, but those people should not stop there. They have the responsibility to restore their tribe, their people and their nation, but they had not fulfilled their responsibilities.

Do you know that Dae Mo nim's work began because such an environment was not made not even up to the time of Father's ascension? Dae Mo nim's task was to carry out God's command.

Even though there are many Blessed families in the human world, they did not make an environment fit for the True Father, the True Parents, the returning Lord, the Savior and the King of Kings. There were only ignorant people who did not understand Father's position, but Dae Mo nim knew the providential history.

As I said before, the two-thousand-year Christian history was the providence of searching for God's onlybegotten daughter. The only-begotten daughter of God needed to be born as God's daughter separate from the satanic world. I was the one who possessed such a standard. (Applause) The world didn't know but Satan knew. Therefore, the moment I was born, Satan said, 'Because you were born I am doomed. So I will kill you," and he tried to kill me. However, Dae Mo nim fought and won. Thus, I am here today. Do you understand? (Applause)

HakJaHan-151206-5.png

Dae Mo nim had a Christian background and understood God's providential history. She lived her whole life in a position similar to that of a nanny who bore God's only-begotten daughter. Heavenly Parent knew this. Therefore, what did Dae Mo nim, who was in the spirit world, do for God's Blessed children on earth who were ignorant of the providence even when they had been told? She had to choose right? Thus, the Chung Pyung work began.

Dae Mo nim is in the position in which she fulfilled all her responsibility to eternally attend Father as the returning Lord, the King of Kings. That was her role. Now she is busier in the spirit world with her providence. is now in the position where it has grown within an established order, and if each individual offers devotion united with True Parents, they can personally experience Dae Mo nim's work on your own. Do you understand? (Yes) (Applause)

You need to know this. She lived her entire life publically and attended the returning Lord. In the sight of heaven and earth, she was truly loyal. That is why not just anyone can carry out Mother's role. No one can but me. Do you understand? (Yes)

If you go forward, one in heart, one in body, one in harmony and one ideologically with me, can you be victorious or not? (We can be victorious) You are Blessed people. There are seven billion people in the world, but how is it that you met me? Blessed families have been made through me, right? (Yes)

You should live your lives each day with a heart of gratitude and live for the future as long as you are alive. This is the fatherland of faith. This is the original homeland. I need to create a new culture. Will you cooperate with that, or not? (Yes. We will do it)

Therefore, I am trying to make Korea the world's holy ground within ten years. (Yes) (Applause) I hope that you will take part in this. Please take care of your health and let's accomplish this great work together. Thank you.

Chicago, IL, USA

Respected and beloved government and civic leaders, and especially the members of the clergy who represent not only the Christian family of faiths, but also the wider family of religions!

It is my honor and privilege to be with you today for this True Family Values Banquet, convened here in Chicago, and celebrating 20 years of the True Family Values ministry.

I want to acknowledge the members of the ACLC who are here today, as well as representatives of Family Fed, UPF and other NGOs.

If you are like me, and I am sure you are, there isn’t a day that goes by when you wonder where our world is headed. It sometimes seems like our world is falling apart. One the one hand, we are facing the impact of climate changes that threaten the viability of the planet, including the quality of our air, water, and the food chain. In addition, the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, and the terror attacks in Europe, here, in our homeland, and other places are threatening global order and global stability. And, in the communities and on the streets of America’s cities there are cries for justice as gun violence and shootings darken the headlines.

Sometimes the challenges of life can seem almost too much to bear. However, if we reflect on the power of love, faith, benevolence, and goodness, we open up to the light. We begin to appreciate heroes among us who, by their example, their vision and their words, show us the way out of the darkness and lead us to the light. They give us hope. To all of the heroes in this room, men and women and families of faith, love, and goodness who serve a higher purpose and live to create a world of peace and one family under God, today I thank you all for being our American heroes of peace. (applause)

There have been two major people in my life who have always inspired me, even in the darkest times; They are my parents, and to the world wide family our TPs, have lived a sincere life of absolute faith in God, lived with an unwavering will to serve humanity, and instill a global consciousness of good, with fearless determination, absolute love, and selfless devotion for the sake of humankind and creation. There is no other person on this earth who can match my father’s life example, May God bless him, since his ascension three years ago. But if ever there was a woman of absolute pure love, devotion, faith, and goodness that was his balance, his counterpart, the complete harmony of true love in life that would be my mother. She has devoted her life, family, and served over 50 years in their pubic mission to serve humankind. She is my light and amazing example of True Love. She is my hero.

Despite losing her husband of 52 years, and the father to their 14 children; despite being now in this physical world without the irreplaceable half that makes her whole; and despite losing her one and only true love, my mother, True Mother, never stops to focus on, or complain about, her own difficulties. On the contrary, she always looks to ease the pain of others, giving out love and hope, and calling us all to embrace a victorious future, building one universal family under God, our Heavenly Parent.

I know that when my parents and my family came to this nation, they had the highest hopes that this nation would be a light unto the world, and an exemplary nation that served as a loving elder brother to the community of nations around the world…..a superpower of justice, peace, faith, and widespread prosperity, north, south, east and west.

In order for America to achieve this goal they promoted interreligious dialogue, good governance, and soft-power approaches to peace. They initiated character education programs for youth, worked to empower women and girls, advocated renewal and reform of the United Nations, developed businesses guided by ethical principles, and invested in the development of responsible, objective media institutions.

They believed that this quest for peace was the most important task of our time.

At the center of this effort, was the family.

This is Heavenly Parent’s ideal, and this is True Parents ideal. We need to build loving families and communities based on the principle of true love, forgiveness, unity, and compassion. Gathered here with all of you our brothers and sisters, our heroes of faith, I know this ideal can be realized in this great nation. With the warmth and cheer of the holiday season, I pray that you and your precious families can all be abundantly blessed and joyful and may this nation find that we are all one family under God and we should all celebrate each moment with love, faith, and gratitude. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Aju!

I have been asked by my mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, to represent her today, and to present her message, which she wanted to share with you. She could not be here, but her heart is with us. Also, my father’s heart is our eternal light and he is always with us. He is looking down on us from the spiritual world. I am sure he is smiling and sending loving blessings to you all.

Please bear with me now as I do my best to present my mother’s message.

True Family Values Ministry 20th Awards Banquet Special Address from True Mother

Respected ladies and gentlemen from home and abroad!

Beloved leaders who strive to establish true family values!

The fulfillment of the Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation is rooted in family values. However, we see today that those values are rapidly deteriorating. It was in order to firmly establish true family values and fulfill the Heavenly Parent’s will to establish “One Family Under God,” that my late husband, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and I began our providential work in the United States in 1971. Since that time, we have devoted ourselves to advocating True Family ideals and values.

Heaven specially prepared and blessed the United States so that it could become a pillar of the global providence of restoration. However, my husband and I could see the tragic deterioration of family values in America. Therefore, in 1996, my husband and I invited more than 5,000 religious leaders from all over America to Washington DC to awaken the nation, teaching about the absolute centrality of true family values. The content of this educational program inspired the clergy who had gathered on that occasion, and they resolved to participate in a great movement aimed at reviving America by restoring true family values centered on God, our Heavenly Parent.

I know that many of you who are seated here today have dedicated yourselves to this great and holy endeavor. It is through your devotion and your efforts over many years that this movement has grown and that we are now able to celebrate this very meaningful 20th anniversary. I would like to offer my heartfelt gratitude for your tremendous work. I would also like to congratulate today’s award recipients.

The Family Should Be Rooted in Heavenly Morality, not Human Morality

Respected leaders!

We are born in the bosom of the family and we grow within the family. The family is our origin, our starting point and our school of love. This universal truth and the values embedded in the family transcend religion, culture, race and nationality. Our Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation, when He created Adam and Eve as the first human ancestors, was for them to fulfill His commandments, namely, to be fruitful, multiply, and have dominion over the creation (Genesis 1:27). However, due to the fall of the first human ancestors, our Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation was unfulfilled. As a result, our Heavenly Parent was unable to experience the happiness of true love within an ideal family. Furthermore, throughout the course of fallen human history, true family values were trampled upon and swept away into oblivion.

If we consider the history of the rise and fall of civilizations, we observe that the decline of the family contributes to the decline of civilizations. For example, we can generally agree that western civilization traces its roots to Hebraism and Hellenism. As great as these traditions are, they each tended to emphasize the individual more than the family. That is, we do not find in them a clear vision of ideal families, nor a forceful declaration of the importance of true families rooted in our Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation. Eventually, as western civilization increasingly embraced individualistic ideas and philosophies, a culture centered on individualism emerged. Contrary to God’s will, the basic of unit of all relationships in society and the nation was not believed to be the family; instead, it became the individual. Regrettably, all relationships, including those between parents and children, came to be defined as a kind of legal or contractual relationship, similar to that which exists between a ruler and the citizens. This was a grave error. Once the relationship between parents and children is defined fundamentally in terms of a contractual relationship involving the personal interests of the ‘parents’ and the ‘children,’ parent-child relations come to be understood not in terms of heavenly morality, but rather in terms of human morality. Today, the human family is divided and in the throes of war on every level. We are fighting with every living being and creation, arming ourselves against eco-wars, religious wars, territorial wars, political wars, racial wars, community shootings, making our backyards on hometown a war field. When we witness these heinous crimes against the human family, we are heartbroken and can empathize with the devastating pain of God’s heart. Anyone can say that the world we live in today is not an ideal world where we all live in peace and harmony with our global brothers and sisters as one family under God. I believe that the root cause of these problems lies in the loss of true family values.

The United States was blessed by our Heavenly Parent with the ideal vision and mission of establishing not only “One Nation Under God,” but also “One Family Under God.” Today, this ideal is still alive, even though the erosion of family values is threatening the very foundation of this nation. Divorce rates exceeding 50% are directly undermining the sanctity of marriage and the family; unprecedented liberal attitudes about sex among teenagers and free sex among young people are seriously shaking the core values of this nation. Aware and concerned about this sad reality, Rev. Moon and I answered Heaven’s call to come and heal an ailing America. In 1971, Rev. Moon left his homeland and family to come to America. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to restoring America’s moral and spiritual roots in order to revive this great nation. As he toured the US from shore to shore, Rev. Moon boldly proclaimed that, “God has sent me in the role of a doctor, in the role of a firefighter. That is why I have come to America.”

The hope and desire of America is for God, the Heavenly Parent!

Beloved leaders!

What kind of country is this nation where you were born? What kind of nation are you living in? What dreams did your ancestors hold dear as they landed on these shores? What ideals did they strive to practice and cultivate in this nation?

When the Pilgrim Fathers sailed across the Atlantic Ocean under the most adverse conditions, surviving deadly storms and various setbacks, their only ray of hope was God, their Heavenly Parent. After arriving and settling on the new continent, almost half of the Pilgrims died from starvation during the first year; yet, despite the famine, the Pilgrims thought about future generations and they stored the seeds in anticipation of the next growing season, rather than eating them. During these trying times, their only hope was to connect with their Heavenly Parent.

Later, when the founding fathers of this nation risked their lives and fought a David-versus-Goliath battle for independence against Britain, their hope and trust was in God, the Heavenly Parent. In their hearts and minds, God was everything. Their resolve, courage and determination to attend the Heavenly Parent was truly great and holy.

During the War for Independence, Britain was the global superpower. The King and the British soldiers united and fought for their empire. However, the founding fathers loved God, their Heavenly Parent above all. They united and fought to advance God’s Will. Their sincerity and sacrifice moved the heart of heaven. As a result, our Heavenly Parent answered the call of His sons and daughters who were fighting bravely in this great conflict; as a result, the United States of America, the land of religious freedom, was born.

America boldly showed the world that despite having people of many different languages and cultures, it was possible to build “One Nation Under God” and, eventually, “One Family Under the Heavenly Parent.”

Unfortunately, the holiness that once characterized America has fallen into decline. Influenced by the self-centered rise in materialistic culture and the challenges posed by the weakening of spirituality and morality, America has grown increasingly secular. As a result, its core foundation has been shaken.

Rev. Moon and I witnessed these tragic developments. Our Heavenly Parent’s presence should be felt everywhere. However, we could see that God had become distant from the hearts of people; even in families, schools, and some churches, it had become more difficult to feel the Heavenly Parent’s loving presence. God was leaving America. Looking back, it seems like only yesterday when, some 50 years ago, Rev. Moon and I walked down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue and, with tears in our eyes, felt that God, the Heavenly Parent, was leaving America. I vividly remember us crying our hearts out as we held onto

Him in desperation. With that heart, we pledged our absolute determination to lead a spiritual awakening in this nation.

Jesus’ Hope is the True Parents

Beloved leaders!

What were the founding ideals of America? What ideals of Christianity led to the birth of the United States? Two thousand years ago, Jesus was born on this earth as the only begotten son and Messiah; what were his ideals and what was his mission?

Jesus’ mission was to establish the Kingdom of God and to build one great, global family under the Heavenly Parent. As the only begotten son, he was to meet the only begotten daughter prepared by Heaven, hold the marriage of the lamb, and form a family, tribe, people, nation and world that would lead to the fulfillment of God’s original ideal of creation. This world would be one united world with no divisions of religion, culture, race or nationality; it would be a world where the Heavenly Parent could fully love, and live in oneness with the true parents, true children and all humanity as His beloved sons and daughters.

Tragically, due to the faithlessness of the people at that time, Jesus faced great resistance and persecution, and was unable to meet the only begotten daughter Heaven had prepared for him. Therefore, he could not hold the marriage of the lamb, and the position of True Parents could not be established at that time. Even though Jesus, together with the Holy Spirit, brings spiritual salvation to humanity, the ideal of True Parents and the ideal of King and queen of Peace had yet to be fulfilled. This is why Jesus had to promise, even as he hung on the cross, that he would come again. Jesus’ profound anguish was expressed when he said in Matthew 23:37, “How often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.” These words still resonate deep within my heart

Beloved leaders!

My late husband, the Rev. Moon and I clearly understood the suffering and sorrowful situation of Heaven and Jesus, whose death on the cross was not God’s original Will. We, therefore, wanted to comfort and uplift Jesus, just as he should have been during his lifetime. In 2003, we organized a program in Jerusalem to honor and crown Jesus as the King of Peace; we wanted to restore his having been misunderstood and rejected 2000 years ago. Also, since the cross was a sorrowful reminder that he was not received by the people of his time, we also engaged in a global movement to take down crosses in churches. However, these endeavors alone did not completely free the Heavenly Parent and Jesus from their historical pain and sorrow. In fact, we now understand that the 2,000 year history of Christianity has been a providential course to eventually find the only begotten daughter, fulfill the Marriage of the Lamb, and establish the long-awaited position of the True Parents.

The Life of True Parents to Realize the Ideal of the True Family

Dear leaders!

In 1960, the Rev. Moon and I, standing in the presence of God and in the positions of only begotten son and only begotten daughter prepared by Heaven, received the Holy Blessing as the True Parents. Since the time of our holy wedding, our lives have been focused on the following goals: to liberate the Heavenly Parent who is the Cosmic True Parent, restoring His lost position as our parent, and to save the lost and fallen human beings from the realm of death and suffering, and return humanity to the bosom of the Heavenly Parent. In order to achieve this ideal, the Rev. Moon and I have had to overcome unspeakable hardships and innumerable difficulties. Overcoming all these obstacles, we led and carried humanity, which had fallen into the state of being like an orphan with no parents, along the path to salvation. The sayings, “Seven failures will lead to success on the eighth,” and “Risk your life and invest yourself entirely to the cause,” accurately characterize the course of life that we led.

True Father came on this earth as the only begotten son of the Heavenly Parent, and he met me, as the only begotten daughter who Heaven had prepared for 6,000 years. Together we strove each and every day of our lives to embrace all of humanity with the heart of True Parents. However, this meant that our life together would never be stable or serene; it was akin to sailing on the vast ocean during a deadly storm. Nevertheless, Rev. Moon, as True Father, completely fulfilled his mission, and, prior to his ascension, he earnestly asked and entrusted to all humanity the mission to fulfill their own responsibility as Heavenly Tribal Messiahs.

Beloved leaders!

At the time of my husband’s third ascension memorial, standing before the Heavenly Parent and the entire Unification community, this is what I promised True Father:

[True] Father, from now on, please do not worry. We will absolutely fulfill our responsibility. Please be free and ascend to the eternal Bonhyangwon [your eternal resting place] to comfort God, the Heavenly Parent, who has been lonely until now.

Beloved leaders, you are witnesses to the kind of life our couple has led in order to realize the Will of the Heavenly Parent; you know the sincere efforts we have made to save and revive this nation that has been blessed by Heaven; you know the hardships and persecution we had to overcome. I am certain that your truthful eyes and truthful ears have helped you to understand for whom and for what ideals we dedicated our lives.

My beloved leaders!

Let us stand up for our Heavenly Parent who, for 6,000 years of human history, has anxiously searched for His lost children. Let us remember the Pilgrim Fathers who, with the hearts of children desperately seeking for their Heavenly Parent, traveled thousands of miles across a treacherous Atlantic Ocean and settled in America during the harshest of winters. Let us remember the people who came to this country from all over the world in search of religious freedom; let us remember how they overcame persecution and suffering so that America could take root as the land of faith. Let us remember their ardent devotion, their sincere faith and their lofty aspirations. God, our Heavenly Parent, has abundantly blessed America as a pillar of His providence. Let this beautiful nation once again attend the Heavenly Parent. Let us revive and transform America into a nation where the ideals of the family are alive, a nation where the Heavenly Parent can freely move, dance and sing together with us. If you devote yourselves to fulfilling this goal, Heaven and the unified nation of Cheon Il Guk will certainly remember each and every one of you.

I pray that the love and blessings of the Heavenly Parent be with you and your families.

May HP truly bless America! Aju!

America boldly showed the world that despite having people of many different languages and cultures, building one nation under God and eventually one family under our Heavenly Parent is possible. Unfortunately, the holiness that once characterized America had fallen into decline. Influenced by selfcenteredness, a materialistic culture was weakening spirituality and morality; thus, America had grown increasingly secular. This was shaking its core foundation. Rev. Moon could see that God had become distant in the hearts of people. Even in families, in schools and some churches, feeling Heavenly Parent’s loving presence had become difficult. God was leaving America.

Looking back, it only seemed like yesterday when, fifty years ago, Rev. Moon and I walked down Manhattan’s Fifth Ave with tears in our eyes, and felt that God, our Heavenly Parent, was leaving America. I vividly remember us crying our hearts out when we held onto God in desperation. With that heart, we pledged our absolute determination to lead a spiritual awakening in this nation.

Beloved leaders, what became of America’s founding principles, the Christian ideals that had led to the birth of the nation? Two thousand years ago, Jesus was born as the begotten son and Messiah. What were his ideals and what was his mission?

Jesus’s mission was to establish the kingdom of God and to build one great, global family under our Heavenly Parent. As the only begotten son, he was to meet the only begotten daughter Heaven had prepared, hold the marriage supper of the Lamb, and form a family, tribe, people, nation and world that would lead to the fulfillment of God’s original ideal of creation.

Tragically, due to the faithlessness of the people at that time, Jesus faced great resistance and persecution and was unable to meet the only begotten daughter prepared for him. Therefore, he could not hold the marriage supper of the Lamb and could not establish the position of True Parents at that time. Even though Jesus, together with the Holy Spirit, brings spiritual salvation to humanity, the ideal of True Parents, the ideal of the king and queen of peace had yet to be fulfilled.

This is why Jesus had to promise, even as he hung on the cross, that he would come again. Jesus’s profound anguish was expressed when he said in Matthew 23:37, “How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not.” These words still resonate deep within my heart.

In 2003, we organized a program in Jerusalem to honor and crown Jesus as the king of peace. We wanted to restore his having been misunderstood and rejected two thousand years ago. Also, since the cross was a sorrowful reminder that he was not received by the people of his time, we also engaged in a global movement to take down crosses in the churches. However, these endeavors alone did not completely free our Heavenly Parent and Jesus from the historical pain and sorrow. In fact, we now understand that two thousand years of Christianity has been the providential course to eventually find the only begotten daughter, fulfill the marriage supper of the Lamb, and establish the long awaited position of True Parents.

The Holy Wedding

In 1960, Rev. Moon and I, standing in the presence of God in the position of the only begotten son and only begotten daughter prepared by Heaven, received the holy marriage blessing as the True Parents. Since the Holy Wedding, our lives have been focused on following goals to liberate our Heavenly Parent, who is the cosmic True Parent, restore his lost position as our parent, and save fallen and lost human beings from the realm of death and suffering. To achieve this ideal, Rev. Moon and I to overcame unspeakable hardships and innumerable difficulties.

Beloved leaders, you have witnessed the kind of life my husband and I have led in order to realize our Heavenly Parent’s will. You are aware of the sincere effort we have made to save and revive this nation, which Heaven has blessed. I am certain that your truthful eyes and your truthful ears have helped you understand for whom and for what ideals we dedicated our lives.

Stand together for God

Beloved leaders, let us stand up for our Heavenly Parent, who throughout human history has anxiously searched for his lost children. Let us remember the Pilgrim Fathers, who with their childlike hearts desperately seeking for their Heavenly Parent travelled thousands of miles across treacherous seas and settled in America during the harshest of winters. Let us revive and transform America into a nation where ideals of family are alive, a nation where Heavenly Parent can freely move, dance and sing together with us.

If you devote yourselves to fulfilling this goal, Heaven and the unified nation of Cheon Il Guk will certainly remember each and every one of you.

20th Anniversary True Family Values Banquet Keynote Address

Hak Ja Han and Sun Jin Moon

Chicago, Illinois

Sun Jin Moon's remarks:

Respected and beloved government and civic leaders, and especially the members of the clergy who represent not only the Christian family of faiths, but also the wider family of religions!

It is my honor and privilege to be with you today for this True Family Values Banquet, convened here in Chicago, and celebrating 20 years of the True Family Values Ministry.

I want to acknowledge the members of the ACLC who are here today, as well as representatives of the Family Federation, UPF and other NGOs.

In addition, the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Ukraine and the terror attacks in Europe, here, in our homeland, and other places are threatening global order and global stability.

There have been two major people in my life who have always inspired me, even in the darkest times. They are my parents, and to the world wide family our True Parents. They have lived a sincere life of absolute faith in God, lived with an unwavering will to serve humanity, and instill a global consciousness of good, with fearless determination, absolute love, and selfless devotion for the sake of humankind and creation. There is no other person on this earth who can match my father’s life example. May God bless him, since his ascension three years ago. But if ever there was a woman of absolute pure love, devotion, faith, and goodness that was his balance, his counterpart, the complete harmony of true love in life, that would be my mother.

I know that when my parents and my family came to this nation, they had the highest hopes that this nation would be a light unto the world, and an exemplary nation that served as a loving elder brother to the community of nations around the world, a superpower of justice, peace, faith, and widespread prosperity, north, south, east and west.

In order for America to achieve this goal they promoted inter-religious dialogue, good governance, and soft-power approaches to peace.

Hak Ja Han’s Message

We’re fighting with every living being and creation, arming ourselves against ego wars, religious wars, territorial wars, political wars, racial wars, community shootings making our backyard, our hometown, into a war field.

We wanted to restore him of being misunderstood and rejected 2,000 years ago.

Aju. Thank you.

True Family Values Ministry 20th Awards Banquet Address from Hak Ja Han

The Family Should Be Rooted in Heavenly Morality, not Human Morality

Respected leaders!

We are born in the bosom of the family and we grow within the family. The family is our origin, our starting point and our school of love.

I vividly remember us crying our hearts out as we held onto Him in desperation.

May Heavenly Parent truly bless America! Aju!

Where the World Can Experience True Parents' Love

When you think about the providence, about our members or about the future, you realize that food, clothing and shelter are important to people living their day-to-day lives. Other than the Great Works, Chung Pyung holds two large events a year. Many people from around the world come here, so eating is important. Moreover, because the weather is cold around Foundation Day, they will need warm food.

In the past, we would do things within the training center, but I thought about raising the level a bit.

A lot of space is available for our use in Chung Pyung. Chung Pyung may not be as large as True Father had planned; the land it occupies may not be large enough to build a large grocery store on, but I am thinking to make something by which those who come to train here can buy or be supplied with everything they need. That is why I released the Heaven G Burger, as a demonstration.

If you have any words of encouragement, helpful opinions or wish to participate, please tell me. When we look to the future, I want to make Chung Pyung a sanctuary that lacks nothing, that has all of everything. That is the beginning.

Thus, please tell me your ideas to make this place one where the people of the world, all people, want to come and live, a place about which they will say, "I get sick if I do not go there three or four times a year." I want to accomplish everything that True Father thought of, one by one, on as high a level as possible. Hence, I am hoping to make this a place where all our members from around the world, as well as all of humankind, can experience True Parents' love when they come here.

When we look at the whole, as I said last time during the Great Works, when compared to a human body, Chung Pyung is in the location of the womb. When you look at a map of Korea, it is exactly in the place where the womb would be. Therefore, many lives are born here and those lives grow here. Through experiences such as separating from spirits and ancestor liberation, your spirits grow. Here, you are the problem.

In the song that the team Apple Heaven sang earlier, the lyrics went, "I threw away my greed and a flower of happiness bloomed." Many problems arise because of love. Yet when he came to his senses and laid down his greed, he was happy. That is why I like that song. That is why I said to learn it.

It is the same for our own lives of faith. Our circumstances, our positions, are not what are important. You are blessed families who have received the blessing through True Parents, so you have no connection with the fallen world. However, while you are alive, what should you do in order to prepare to ascend? How can you die well on the last day of your life?

The most important thing you should think about is throwing away your greed.

From True Parents we have learned what kind of lives we should live. When you know your place and act accordingly, good fortune will come if you put down your greed.

When you are satisfied, you can be more grateful in front of God. Will God ignore you if you live a life of gratitude in front of him? He would give you great blessings. We have probably already experienced this on many sides. Isn't that right? You need to live such a life. Therefore, as you support this with a heart to participate, please tell me of your experiences if you have any.

You need healthy food and you need to save time. You need more time to fulfill your responsibilities as tribal messiahs, so you should not take one or two hours to eat. Some people need two hours to eat. There are those who say that. Yet it was not so with Father. He would finish everything in five or ten minutes and go.

You should resemble True Parents.

Isn't that right? You need to live a life resembling your Parents. By doing so, more of you will be able to expand your influence and advance toward being an owner.
