Hearing your reports, you have succeeded in these events. It was special. All the members around the world, especially Korea, Japan and the United States -- centered on the International Headquarters -- became one, and all the events were smoothly and successfully carried out from the start. You have done well.

True Parents’ birthday is historic. True Parents’ birthday! How long had Heavenly Parent dreamed of it? If the perfected onlybegotten son and only-begotten daughter had no position -- if they had not been born amidst fallen humankind -- True Parents’ and Heavenly Parent’s dream would not have been fulfilled. However, True Parents were born in this country, on the Korean peninsula. Though in different years, we were born on the same day and both of us were born in the early morning -- Father at jashi (23:30- 00:30) and I at 4:30 a.m. so inshi (03:00-05:00). We were born at good times. Do you understand? [Yes]

In the beginning, though there may have been a bit of difference, wouldn’t Adam and Eve have been born at the same time on the same day? Regarding True Parents’ birthday, we should not have Father’s birthday and Mother’s birthday. Therefore, judging it from different perspectives, you should be happy people. Yet we still have a long way to go. You should not be satisfied. You must develop further. To do that, what should we do? We should invest more effort. I am saying that you must not stop after a few compliments from me. You will do better, won’t you?

Next year, another Sunhak Peace Prize awards ceremony will take place. Will the peace awards or True Parents’ birthday be more popular? In that sense, you are all blessed families. All of you have to take responsibility. There cannot be one person among all humankind that does not know True Parents. You must do your utmost, thoroughly and deliberately, in each of your areas.

This time, I announced three organs. As the fourth year of Cheon Il Guk begins, we will strengthen the Cheon Il Guk Supreme Council this year. The foundation is complete but because they have not united, it lags in action. I have launched them, and there is no alternative. Therefore, with the launching of the Cheon Il Guk Supreme Council, I give each regional president and Cheon Il Guk special emissary the entitlement of a Supreme Council vice-chairman.

I am going to explain what these people need to do. They need to complete the mission that was originally given to them. The church has to develop, and so does faith. Today when you look at Korea and the globe, you do not realize how many people, who are currently not in public leadership, are striving to fulfill their tribal messiah responsibility as blessed members. Simply put, the Supreme Council is like an elder member in a church. Do you understand? It is the center of the church.

For example, in the Mormon Church there is the Seventy [a leadership group responsible to proclaim the gospel, and build up the Mormon faith throughout the world]. They lead internationally. However, they do not receive a salary. It is an honorary position. Our church also has many elder members. The work that I do is important to the present, and as long as I can do many things out of concern for the future, for as long as I am able to while I am alive, I must prepare a favorable path for future generations.

Therefore, how should Unification Church elders live? No confusion should arise over whether what I do is right or wrong. Do you understand what I mean? There is no place that True Parents have touched is not valuable, no such place is not historic. Yet you must look far. This is not yet True Parents’ nation. When you need to look far and advance, you should not be trying to figure out the right and wrong of small things.

Are any elder members here? Yu Jeong-ok? Is everyone a staff member or are you only leaders? It is the same for everyone. You must change by fulfilling your responsibilities. You must become clear. I said that I have revealed the truth about providential history in the presence of God and humankind. That truth relates to the only-begotten daughter. Do you understand? [Yes] Just like Jesus, I was born with no connection to Satan’s realm. You have only now come to know about this precious truth. Do you know how precious Mother is?

You saw the UPA cadets earlier. [To the cadets] I am proud of you and I love you. I recently promoted the Graduate School of Theology. Sunhak UP [Universal Peace] Graduate School. Did you understand? It is not Cheongshim but Sunhak. The name sounds good, doesn’t it? That is how we will do it. All the graduates will be educated to become leaders who have qualifications and skills in all respects. Do you understand? [Yes]

Cho Kwang-myong, you should try harder. To mention one more thing, the Cheon Jeong Won [comprising five organs of the operating body of Cheon Il Guk] office is deeply important. It needs to be stabilized while I am alive. The World Mission Headquarters is also important. There should be no gaps with me. We have to unite. Things need to be instantly passed among Korea, Japan, America, and through all five continents and six oceans. We have to move as one body. In that sense, those regional presidents and special emissaries appointed as Supreme Council vice-chairmen should take good care of long-time members.

In doing so, you need to open the way so that they can fulfill their responsibilities as blessed members before they die. They are the churches’ pillars, aren’t they? No matter the country, the elder members of a church are its center. They should correctly understand the will and offer their lives appropriately in front of Heaven. You should open the way for them. The Cheon Il Guk Supreme Council has a chairman, but he cannot do it alone. How can one person manage our members on five continents and five oceans? There has to be people to cooperate with. President Lu [of the Korean church], do you understand? [Yes, I do.] We need to educate our church elders well so that they can grow and not feel neglected.

True Parents also need to continue to advance. How long will you wear yourselves out in front of True Parents by holding on to your worries? Huh? In the past, many people in leadership positions did not think of the whole but acted selfishly? There can be no development in that way. However, now is different. I am different. I will not stand aside and watch that happen. Do you understand? I am telling you to get a hold of yourselves. For world restoration, the Cheon Jeong Won… I sent the vice-president of FFWPU International Headquarters, An Jun-seok, to Europe as its special emissary. Is An Junseok here? How is your work progressing? You will need to work hard to fulfill your duty. Please sit.

CARP president Kwon In-seong, become a good example in your post. I want to remove the World-CARP president’s entitlements. Okay?

There is a song that I find affinity with nowadays, “Geu-nomui sarang ddaemunae” [“That Darn Love”]. I sing it every day: Once I abandoned my greed, flowers of joy blossomed. Please listen intently to why I am telling you these things. We are one. We must unite and advance. World-CARP is different now from when Hyo Jin nim was here. It has to grow, but it has not set down roots in each country. So why does the World-CARP president need such a structure? Whether in America or in Japan, it should develop within its own country first. Do you understand?

Earlier, the national leader said that young people are easily recruited. It is the same for CARP. The person that actually takes responsibility, makes effort and acts, will succeed. I am emphasizing that each of you have your own responsibility.

Thus, when the entire world recognizes that you have risen to the world level, you can become independent. Until then, each national leader has a CARP leader under him. All of them do, right? All the national leaders in every nation should support those leaders in carrying out their responsibilities so that CARP grows.

How can a big tree have no roots? Hmm? Can there be a pastor if there are no members? You must come to your senses. You should work hard and offer devotion asking, What can I do for True Parents and for True Parents’ will? If a person thinks about his or her status and how he or she should be treated, that person cannot develop much. Do you understand? [Yes]

I feel as if you do not yet know me well. If even my own children, born from my own womb are inadequate, I do not use them. Do you understand this? [We understand.] They have responsibilities. They have indemnity. I am a thorough person. That is why I am the True Parent; God’s only begotten daughter. I had only planned to compliment you on your hard work today. Did I raise my voice a bit? This is a spank on the bottom so that you grow well. Okay? [Yes] Have I said everything I meant to say? I am quite multifaceted, extremely complex.

HakJaHan-160221-4.PNG

This time I took a new look at Cheon Il Guk Special Envoy Otsuka. He has great potential for future growth. I will be expectant of you, Otsuka. Therefore, I hope that you will carry out the work as the Special envoy of Northeast Asia and the regional president simultaneously.

Chung Jin-hwa, please work in the Chung Pyung Center’s international department. Okay? From now on, this training center needs to work on the global level, and you will need to speak foreign languages for workshops and for counseling secondgeneration members who come from all around the world. Can you give Divine Principle lectures in English? Still, please try harder. Okay, you can sit now. With our dream nearby, let us all become victors by 2020.

True Mother speaking to Global Top Gun at Heaven G Burger

February 17, 2016
Heaven G. Burger, Cheongpyeong. Korea

HakJaHan-160217b-1.PNG

Your hearts grew so much during this workshop. I am so happy for that.

At the second anniversary of True Father’s ascension, North Korea sent me two wonderful dogs, Jeong Joo and An Joo, as gifts. Then An Joo had a puppy that I named Jeong Pal. Whenever I leave from the Cheon Jeong Gung gate, Jeong Joo, An Joo and Jeong Pal greet me so enthusiastically. The interesting thing is that they recognize the sound of my car. There are a few cars for True Parents, and they know which car I am riding. So, whenever I go to the Cheon Jung Gung gate, I can’t help but to stop. They try to get my attention. They bark. How can I just pass them by?

What I am trying to say to you is that God created heaven and earth and all things. He created the animals and plants. After that, He created human beings, Adam and Eve. What’s special about that is that he gave humankind responsibility. The responsibility was to grow up with the position that absolutely united with God. One mind, one body, one harmony.

During the process of growth, Adam and Eve thought centering on their own sake. They had desire centering on themselves. That was the Fall with Satan. The result is seven billion people living today with Satan’s lineage that are not related to God at all.

However, God is omnipotent and omniscient and He should be the same before and after. He must succeed. Thus, there were problems. God is a perfect Being, but He gave all the responsibility to humankind. Therefore, a person who can be the ancestor of all humankind and fulfill God’s wish should be born to the earth again. That was the purpose of the 4,000 years of history to prepare the people of Israel and send the only begotten son, Jesus Christ.

But if you look at the Divine Principle, we need more than just the only begotten son. However, the people around Jesus didn’t fulfill their responsibility. Jesus could not have the place in which he could work. Jesus was left alone because he lost the necessary environment. Therefore, when he was crucified he promised he would return.

That was the 2,000-year Christian history of God’s providence. However, despite 2,000 years of Christian history, people don’t understand God’s providence. They don’t understand who is the central figure and what is the purpose of human beings. They don’t understand how to become close to God as His children.

True Parents were born in this Korean peninsula. When True Father was 16 years old, Jesus came to him and asked him to fulfill the things that he could not fulfill while he was on the earth. True Father realized his position as the only begotten son from that moment. You should know this clearly.

If you look at the Divine Principle, Adam and Eve have their responsibility until God confirms that they are perfected.

Responsibility. Korea is a really important country. God does not use the Israel that failed their responsibility again. Israel is a country of the past. There are many reasons why God chose Korea as the chosen country. Korea doesn’t like to have war. They don’t fight until others invade first. The symbol of this country is the white cloth of the people. They don’t usually wear colorful and luxury cloth, but they like to wear clean, white cloth. So God cannot help but to choose this country as the chosen country. This is important.

At the end of World War II, Korea had been a colony of Japan for 40 years. Korea then gained its independence in 1945. After gaining independence from Japan, this country was split between communism and democracy along the 38th parallel. Therefore, Christian history was cut short. This country experienced the Korean war right after its independence.

Korea has a miserable history. I was in North Korea at the time. During the 2,000 years of Christian history, preparation for the only begotten daughter with a Christian background should be made. I was the only one with those qualifications. There was especially so much spiritual work going on in North Korea centering on Pyeong Yang. All of Christianity believed that Jesus would come back on the clouds. But in North Korea, there were Christian groups preparing for the Second Coming to be born on the earth with a physical body. I was at the center of that group when I was six years old. God was really concerned about the future of humankind so God sent me to the earth.

My uncle studied pharmacy at Waseda University. He was supposed to return back to his hometown in North Korea, but he didn’t. He went to the military in South Korea after graduating. Furthermore, he was the only son of my grandmother. That was the reason why my grandmother, mother, and I came over the 38th parallel and into South Korea at the last minute. Two years later, the Korean War started.

True Father, in the meantime, was first in the South and got the call from God to go to North Korea. Then he went to Heung Nam Prison. Can you imagine how urgent God was feeling? The Second Coming of the Messiah was God’s last hope. God had to save him, using the United Nations to do so. How was it possible for 16 nations of the UN to unite together to participate in a holy war for this country? It’s impossible from a human perspective. It was God’s providence. People should realize this.

We have to especially spread the word around the world about True Parents’ holy birthday and celebrate it. I planned this. But what do you think? If we look at the phenomena happening around the world, we see the natural world is being destroyed as well, not just humankind. The natural world did not fall, but because of humans’ ignorance and greed centering on their own sake, it’s being destroyed. Imagine how much work True Parents have had to do and how challenging it must have been. You have to realize this and be grateful.

The first generation did not fulfill their responsibility. You have to know that. Originally, True Parents were supposed to work on the worldwide providence through the foundation of a nation. It was America’s responsibility, but they could not do it. True Father experienced hardship for 40 years in America because they couldn’t fulfill their responsibility.

If we look at the core problems of the world, war and powerful weapons—nuclear weapons— are the core problems. However, these people cannot see the future. Do you understand? We have to educate America. America is making many wrong choices. Of course, China and Russia are too. These developed countries are destroying nature by centering on themselves.

What do you think is the perspective of True Parents and Heavenly Parent? I cannot just watch this. Do you understand? I already told you about this at the Wonmo Scholarship event. We’ve got to love our natural world. We have to restore nature to the way it was right after God created it. We should teach True Parents’ ideas all around the world, but also we have to take care of our environment and educate about how to protect nature as well. This planet should be kept clean and healthy in order to have the future that God and True Parents want for humankind. This is our one world, Heaven on earth.

I would like to ask you one question. What does Heaven on Earth look like to you? What is your image of Heaven on Earth? The reason why God protected Korea is because this country should be God’s land. You should know this. Why did God choose this land even though it has gone through so many difficulties? True Parents have to work with the foundation of a nation. Providence can only move forward with the foundation of a nation. Therefore, because this country is the hometown of God’s land, I will use Cheong Pyeong as the central point that the seven billion people of the world can visit and feel the heart and life of True Parents and love of Heavenly Parent even after they leave for the spiritual world. It would be nice to have this kind of place in every country. But this is the starting point because it is the birthplace of True Parents. It should be the Garden of Eden. Therefore, this time I held this big event to bring the attention of the people from all around world.

We are going forward with the goal of Vision 2020. During the first three years of Cheon Il Guk, the spirit world was making preparations. During this fourth year of Cheon Il Guk, the year of hope, Cheon Il Guk will be stabilized here on earth. It is about how we can show this to the world. Therefore, True Father, who is without body, has the freedom to do everything that he wants to do and I toured around the world and got a lot of inspiration.

We will not need judges, lawyers, or prosecutors in the future. You won’t need to study in these areas. True Parents are everything for us. If you live life by the words of True Parents, the law is written in your heart.

If you are proud of your parents, then you will tell people about your parents everywhere. How about you? You have to tell people about True Parents all around the world! You want to do it!

Events Commemorating True Parents’ Birthday and the 3rd Anniversary of Foundation Day

Your Excellencies. Distinguished Parliamentarians. Leaders from around the world. Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am honored to be with you today, and it is a privilege for me to stand on this stage, in this historic setting.

I was asked by my mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, founder of the Universal Peace Federation, to deliver her keynote address today.

She is unable to be with us in person, but she asked me to express her deep appreciation and respect to each of you for attending this very important program.

Two days ago we celebrated her 73rd birthday. Her birthday is the same as my father's, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, who would have been 96. They lived their entire lives for the sake of building a world of lasting peace for all humanity. Once again, I am honored to be here today to share this important message with all of you.

I will now read my mother's keynote address:

Your Excellencies. Distinguished parliamentarians from around the world. Participants in the International Leadership Conference of the Universal Peace Federation. Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am pleased to address you today at the historic National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

I believe it is very significant that we have gathered here for this special session of UPF’s International Leadership Conference. I am encouraged that more than 150 parliamentarians have come together from not only Korea, but from more than 50 nations around the world.

My late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, and I have always believed and taught that Korea has a unique role and responsibility in God’s Providence. Just as God is our Heavenly Parent, Korea must strive to be in a parental role among nations and people of every race, religion, nationality and culture. Korea should lead the way in establishing one universal family under God.

Respected parliamentarians!

The National Assembly venue is the house of the people, a place where the voice of the people may be heard and the public good advanced by democratically elected representatives, parliamentarians.

Representative democracy is a noble tradition, with roots that date back many centuries, and now the most widely practiced form of democratic governance.

Although you have gathered here from nations around the world, you share a common appreciation and respect for serving as a representative of those who elected you. You are each the servant of the people, expected to serve the public good, guided by basic principles of good governance: accountability transparency, collegiality, responsiveness, inclusivity, and respect for human rights and the rule of law.

It is imperative that, within modern democratic systems, we do not lose sight of God, our creator and Heavenly Parent.

My husband and I have dedicated our lives exclusively to building a world of lasting peace.

This has been our lifelong, God-centered mission.

We have always taught that peace is not merely an absence of violent conflict. Peace comes into being whenever relationships are characterized by harmony, balance and mutual respect. Such relationships are created when we practice unselfishness, by living for the sake of others. This is the essence of true love.

True Love is the essence of God, who created all things, as our Heavenly Parent. We all have a nature that derives from our common origin. That is, we are beings capable of practicing True Love, toward one another, and toward all things in the world around us.

Our purpose and responsibility as the sons and daughters of God, our Heavenly Parent, is to become individuals of True Love, with mind and body united; on this foundation we can build marriages and families of true love, as the foundation for the society and the nation; and in turn we should care for the planet and all the forms of life that make up our environment. If we fulfill this responsibility, we can establish a world of peace.

My husband and I have applied this ideal, and the principle of living for the sake of others, in every sector of society, including the spheres of government, religion, civil society, the private sector, academia, the arts, and even at the level of global governance.

We have always honored individuals who applied these principles in their spheres of professional life, appointing them as Ambassadors for Peace. Many parliamentarians around the world have been appointed as Ambassadors for Peace and they work closely with UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement.

In the year 2000, my husband and I spoke at the United Nations in New York, calling on the United Nations and the member states to consider an innovative proposal, namely, that the United Nations build within its system an interfaith council, consisting of religious, spiritual and moral leaders who could advise, collaborate and deliberate with the representatives of the member states.

Such a council could serve as the voice of universal values and principles. More importantly, we always wanted the United Nations to be centered on God, our Heavenly Parent.

I gave this same message recently when I spoke at the United Nations in Vienna in May of last year.

In other words, no matter what our field of endeavor —priest, parliamentarian, or professor— we should be committed to and guided by universal moral and spiritual principles. Whether we are the mayor of a small town, the pastor of a small church, or the president of a nation or the secretary general of the UN, this is our eternal responsibility. This is the responsibility of each parliamentarian gathered here.

My husband and I have a special appreciation for the United Nations. UN forces intervened in 1950 to prevent this nation from being overrun by North Korean aggression. My husband was liberated from a North Korean death camp by the UN forces.

Without the UN’s intervention and protection, it is possible that neither of us would have lived to fulfill our missions. We both believe that the United Nations, at that time, was acting in accordance with Heaven’s Will.

The UN emerged in the World War II era, and is now celebrating its 70th year. And, whereas, there are UN Headquarters Offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Nairobi, there is no such office in Asia, even though we are living increasingly in an Asia Pacific age. In many ways, the geopolitical, economic and social center of gravity of our world is shifting toward Asia.

With this in mind, UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement, are advocating for consideration of a 5th United Nations office to be established in the land where, 66 years ago, the UN intervened, shedding blood, sweat and tears for peace.

Later today many of you will go to the DMZ. When you visit there, I hope you will reflect on this proposal. President Park herself has proposed the building of a peace park in the DMZ, as a step toward normalization and development of peaceful relations between the two Koreas.

I believe a 5th UN Office on the Korean peninsula, perhaps in the DMZ, with support of both Koreas, would go a long way toward establishing peace on this peninsula and toward peace in Northeast Asia.

In closing, I want to emphasize the importance of the role of parliamentarians.

You represent the people. You are entrusted by the people with a great responsibility. At the same time, your responsibility is to God, our Heavenly Parent.

If parliamentarians of the world join together in harmony and cooperation for the sake of peace, we can transform the current reality of our world, creating a world of joy, harmony and lasting peace.

With this in mind I encourage you, on this day, to form an international association of parliamentarians dedicated to peace, centered on the principle of living for the sake of others, and centered on God, our Heavenly Parent.

You are the representatives of the 7 billion people of the world. If you join together in this way, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

Let us work together to build a world of lasting peace.

Thank you for allowing me to share these words with you today.

May God bless you, your families and nations.

Modern democracies should not lose sight of God, our Heavenly Parent
