Excerpts from a message given at WFWP New Year's Celebration (HC 11.28), translated by Rev. Katsumi Kambashi

"Let's make 2013 the best year in your life and offer this nation to Heaven within seven years until 2020. Will you do it?"

"Father's words and achievement are like a gemstone. I want to make the best out of it and always have it close to me so that I can love it. How about you? You feel the same, don't you? Therefore, as the first stage I put Father's words in order, and then will make them into jewelry 4which you cannot be detached from. I am working now hoping you become the person who can hold that jewelry and go to the spirit world when you are finished with your life on earth. The first-stage Cheon Seong Gyeong will be completed and published before Foundation Day. But there are many areas that we need to fix in each field. There are a variety of expensive jewelries. When a gemstone is cut and polished, it has the value that nobody can change. It is eternal."

"Father proclaimed the advent of women's era and gave us many words on it. Father emphasized the importance of women saying that a new life is born from a fertilized egg which consists of 99.99% from mother's ovum and 0.001% of father's sperm. Do you remember this? Father had talked about this for a long time and I also spoke about it through my world speech tour several times. However, how have women been treated well by their children and husbands in the society, in the Unification Church or family? Have you been treated well or not? Some say yes, but most of you haven't been so. (Jokingly)That is because you aren't women who can stand up being able to find your own food. I would like to bring you up to become women, who accomplish the mission of a mother, can let the later generations find food."

"You have heard that I will offer this nation to Heaven in 2020 when we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Father's birthday, haven't you? I truly and earnestly ask all of you to become female leaders who can join the line of the filial, loyal, and virtuous women (충효열) pursuing that purpose. These words must be realized before I go to the spirit world. But I am old too and don't know either when I go to the spirit world. But while I am on earth, you must join the line of filial, loyal and virtuous women. If I were not here, who could praise you saying 'you are filial, loyal, and virtuous women'? Isn't that so? There must be the owner, and without people there can't be a king."

"We women must be the leaders in educating and creating the people of Cheon Il Guk. This is the time to use the term 사생결단 전력투구 (the guiding power of blood ties) so that we can give rebirth, not only this nation but all seven billion people in the world. Do you understand? Will you do it? Seven years, is it too long or not long? What do you think? Current history of God's providence is developing very promptly. I don't know if you are aware of this, but after Father's Seonghwa ceremony, many things have been proceeding and will be settled. After Foundation Day, I will speed up more, and can Korean WFWP members, who True Parents have raised with love, sit still without doing anything? You shouldn't, should you? So awake or asleep, you should always think of making Cheon Il Guk citizens feeling 24 hours a day are too short."

"You should become the warriors who can shorten the history of God's providence by offering this nation to Heaven, not in words but in substance. Think of the Israelite as an example, who you know well. They didn't know the history of God's providence or that of indemnity. They just thought that they were a chosen and blessed people by God. That's why Jesus couldn't help but leave the earth in a miserable way, and what happened later to the Israelite to indemnify their failure? They became the people who had wandered for 2,000 years. They became the people without nation. During such history, it has been the role of mothers, not men that kept the tradition. That's why I emphasize the creation of environment (환경창조/環境創造)."

"Our first generation couldn't fulfill their responsibility as parents. They didn't fulfill it as much as grace, truth and blessing they received from Heaven. Creation of environment couldn't have been done. That's why many 2nd gens left. Since the history of the Unification Church has been more than 50 years, I tried to find 2nd gens to give them missions. I was so regrettable. I felt so sorry. As parents you must have no word to say. If we can't fulfill our responsibility, the 2nd gens must pay the indemnity. Nobody knows how big the indemnity conditions would become, but without fail they must be paid for.

You understand this by seeing the history of Israelites, and we are the same. We also have the responsibility until we can embrace all 7 billion people of the satanic world. When failing to fulfill the responsibility, indemnity comes. Say it. You can't avoid it. If you don't fulfill your responsibility, your descendants come to pay the indemnity. You would say, 'Though I know such a thing, now I become older and have pains here and there in my body. I keep going but I need a rest.' You aren't in such a position, are you? So what should you do? It is 사생결단 (Blood ties). Within seven years, there is a nation that we should offer to Heaven. It is a small nation. It should be united first, of course. We should go forward with such a direction."

"From now on, we should play the role of mother, rather than daughter. We should give birth to and raise children. Father built a huge house and now we need to put things in order and make things more presentable. That's our responsibility."

"When you go to the spirit world after having accomplished your responsibility, who would welcome you first in Heaven? (Father would say) 'You finally came here. Thank you for your hard work attending to True Mother. I remember you.' How happy you would be then! Don't you think so? Will you do your work with such a determination? If so, I have no further words."

"Go with me to the end. (Holding back her tears). In fact, after Father's Seonghwa ceremony, I can't sleep well without sleeping pills. I think this is from my character. When I start something, I can't sleep without concluding it and putting things in order. I have such a character. But when I see you today, I realize that I am not alone. (With tears) I felt like 'I have a pillar which receives my will and work with me. I have my younger sisters. I have my daughters."

"What only women can do is to embrace the whole. Women, especially a mother, is like a bowl which embraces men, women, children and the whole. Nobody can change it. Mother's portion, according to Father, is 99.99 %. Without ovum, sperm, which contribution is only 0.001%, can't fulfill its mission. When I think of it, I truly admire for God who loves women to such degree. I recall it every day. How about you? Women, who are such precious beings, haven't been treated well. Through the truth and our results, we must establish our position. I ask all of you to become the people who can be determined saying 'We women embrace all the people of Cheon Il Guk. We do witnessing!'"

Soon Ae Hong, Mother's mother (the real Dae Mo Nim), soon after joining the church

True Mother's Mother Joins the Church

True Mother's mother, Soon Ae Hong, came to know True Father while she was residing in Chuncheon. Seok Cheon Jeong had read an account in the Donga Ilbo newspaper of the May 1955 incident of students being expelled from Yonsei University and Ehwa Woman's University and wrote a letter to his sister, Seok On Jeong, who was living in Busan at the time, to tell her about it. On her deathbed, Kim Seong-do had said to her children, "A church will arise that is misunderstood as a lewd group. Its members will thus be persecuted, even imprisoned, just as we were. When such a church appears, you should know it to be the true church and go to find it." They therefore felt in their bones that they must go and find this church. As soon as she received the letter, Seok On Jeong went to Seoul with her daughter.

At the time, however, the Unification Church was in complete disarray, with its leaders in custody and parents of expelled students coming and going constantly. Consequently, they returned to Busan and Mrs. Hyun Shil Kang introduced them to the church there. Seok On Jeong informed her brother, Seok Cheon Jeong, who was living in Daegu, about the current situation. Upon receiving the communication, he made his way to the Daegu church right away and listened to Divine Principle lectures for a week. Realizing that the Divine Principle was more detailed and biblical than the teachings of the Holy Lord Church, he joined the church in June.

Soon Ae Hong had been living in Chuncheon at the time she received a letter from Seok Cheon Jeong in November 1955. The letter told her about a church in Seoul exactly like the Holy Lord Church. It said that the minister in that church was coming to Daegu to speak to his followers and that she should come at once and listen to him. Circumstances did not permit her to go to Daegu at once, however. She put off going there until the following month, December. It was at this time that she had a special revelatory dream. She dreamed of a great river that flowed from the east over a bed of white pebbles. A Turtle Ship shining in all its splendor appeared, and as she listened to the sound of rowing oars, a white dragon opened the top of the ship and came swimming out. It waved its tail and stopped in front of Soon Ae Hong to welcome her. Then it leaped into her bosom. Startled, she awoke.

Afterward, she just lay there, thinking to herself, "That is strange. Elder Jeong told me about a great church, which I was about to go to, and though am in many respects an inadequate person, it welcomed me."

After receiving the revelation in her dream, she went to Daegu, where Seok Cheon Jeong told her, "We have finally found our Lord. We prepared his clothes in the Inside the Belly Church to receive him. Now we have finally found him. He came to Daegu and spoke to us." Then he told her that the minister had returned to Seoul, that his teachings were the same as those of the Inside the Belly Church. He added that he was a young, handsome man who sang well, who watched movies, and who was given to swearing occasionally. Though his description made him out to be quite human, in contrast to her expectations, her mind was filled with conviction.

In a way, she was glad that when she reached Seoul she would be able to meet the one she had yearned for, but she also felt inadequate. She blamed herself for being so foolish as to wander around and suffer as a result. If she had been wise, she would have stayed in Daegu, and during those four years she would have found the Unification Church. Yet she had failed to do so. She had gone to Jeju Island and foolishly lived on raw food and made herself suffer, but she had not found the one she should have, so she was filled with regrets. With such thoughts in her head, she was sorry and felt that she had fallen short.

As she was preparing her mind in this way, she had another revelation in a dream. She saw two golden dragons bowing with their heads toward Seoul. Mrs. Hong thought to herself, "On my way to Daegu I saw a white dragon, and now that I am about to leave Daegu I see two golden dragons. That is strange."

She immediately went to Seoul, where she met and paid her respects to True Father at the old headquarters church in Cheongpa-dong. Surprisingly, he was the same person she had twice dreamed of while she was a member of the Inside the Belly Church. She was awestruck and she did not know what to do with herself.

Soon Ae Hong listened to what he said with her heart overflowing with gratitude and grace. Father, however, treated her coldly, calling her "You, you!" -- as if he were implying, "What could you possibly know?" Though he spoke warmly to the people she had come with, he completely ignored her.

A war raged in her heart. He was the one she had received revelations about in North Korea. He was the one she had to follow now, in life or in death. She had to serve him even after her life ended. Here he was, though, treating her as if he were angry with her. She was at her wits' end as to what to do. She could not help feeling lost.

So she continued to pray, "Heavenly Father, our Teacher is very angry with me. What should I do? What sins should I confess?" When she had prayed for quite a while, she received the response, "You need to pass through this crisis at any cost. Otherwise, you will become like Judas Iscariot."

True Father treated her so coldly that it was apparent to everyone. On Christmas Day, he handed out Korean popcorn to the members, and whereas he conveyed warmth as he gave handfuls to other members, when he came in front of her he almost threw it at her. When others came or even a lone person, he welcomed them warmly. He spoke to them all through the night and gave them love, but he did not do that for Mother's mother. Thankfully, he did not tell her to go away, though. She felt that if he were to tell her to go away, she would die.

God had told her to endure everything and weather the crisis, so she persevered. When there were other members, she went in and sat with them in front of him. After a week of living in this way, her inner suffering was so severe that her heart burned and her lips became cracked.

At the end of the week, Father gave the Sunday sermon. He spoke of Jesus' heart, saying, "How great is the sin of the Israelites for failing to receive Jesus, who came as their true father, and instead crucified him?" From the moment Father began his sermon to his last word, Soon Ae Hong wept incessantly. Though she had wept many times in the New Jesus Church, the Holy Lord Church and the Inside the Belly Church, she had never cried her heart out as she did then. Though she wept and wept, she did not feel relieved. She was amazed in her heart, which ached, and she felt so sorrowful that she could not even speak.

When he gave his sermon, she felt as if he were speaking only to her. At the end of the sermon, before the other members left, Seok On Jeong said, "Teacher, there is a person here who wept from the beginning to the end of your sermon."

Upon hearing that, Father asked, "What is that person's name?" When Mrs. Hong heard that, she thought to herself, "I'm saved!" And when she went into his room and greeted him, he told her, "Right, sit down there!" This consoled her and filled her with such gratitude and reverence that her heart felt about to burst.

Meeting True Father

Right after Hak Ja Han graduated from elementary school in March 1956, her mother told her "The man we were bowing to in the Inside the Belly Church has appeared in Seoul, so let us go there and pay our respects."

They went to Seoul together. Her mother led her to the Cheongpa-dong church and had her offer a bow to Father. From a young age, True Mother practiced absolute obedience in matters of faith.

After she had bowed respectfully to him, Father asked who she was. When her mother answered that she was her daughter, he asked, "You have such a. beautiful daughter? Does she go to school?" After learning her name, to the surprise of all, three times Father said, "Han Hak Ja has been born in Korea!" Mother's mother said to herself, that is strange. Why did he speak of this daughter of mine three times?

Father then said, "Han Hak Ja, you will have to make sacrifices from now on."

True Mother recalled the circumstances:

I did not get a chance to meet True Father in North Korea. I met him for the first time in Seoul after we came to South Korea. At the time I was thirteen years old and had just graduated from elementary school a short while after we joined the church. We had followed a path of such great difficulties before then that we could not be sure of what lay ahead. Moreover, we had no inkling of what was going to happen in 1960.

When I met True Father for the first time, the moment he saw me he closed his eyes and meditated, and then spoke to me, almost as if he were whispering in my heart. He asked, "What is your name?" I answered, "My name is Hak Ja Han." Then he said, "Oh, Heavenly Father! You have sent this wonderful woman, Han Hak Ja, to Korea. Thank you!" He had been meditating at the time and he spoke almost as if 'to himself, but those were the words I heard.

In that moment, it seemed to me that True Father, the founder of the Unification Church, was receiving a special revelation about my future, so I thought it somewhat strange. At the time I was living in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province and Father was at the church headquarters in Seoul. Chuncheon and Seoul were quite a distance apart.

Middle School Days

Mother graduated from elementary school in 1956, but she had been unable to go on to middle school immediately. Her uncle, Soon Jeong Hong, came to Chuncheon and discovered that Mother's mother was in prison.* and that Mother (the young Han Hak Ja) had been staying at home, unable to go to school. He brought her to Seoul with him without a moment's delay. Fortunately, Soong Jeong Girls' Middle School was still permitting late registration, so she was able to enter the school right away.

Han Hak Ja entered the school on April 10, 1956 and graduated on March 25, 1959 in the school's third graduating class. During this period, she lived in the Donam and Shindang districts of Seoul with the family of her uncle, Soon Jeong Hong. She sometimes cooked meals for them.

Her school record shows that she was honored with awards in her second and third years consecutively as the student with the highest grades in her class. Her interests and skills included drawing and reading. As she had in elementary school, during her three years in middle school, Flak Ja showed talent in art. She served for three years as a senior member of the class council, and in her second year was the vice-chief of the general affairs division while serving concurrently as a student leader. In particular, in her third year she carried out student government activities as the head of the steering committee. As the leader of the steering committee, she displayed her leadership potential. True Mother spoke of the circumstances of the time:

I recall that, when I was young, in middle school or thereabouts, I was made the head of the steering committee. One time I had to go up to the podium in front of the whole student body and tell them decisions the committee had made.

After I had made the announcement, I came down. I was told that Mrs. Jeong Ae Han, our Korean language teacher at that time, and other teachers who are still working in the school, all said, "Wow! Hak Ja is truly amazing!" I had always given the impression to those around me that 1 was a quiet and docile student, difficult to approach or befriend, yet I had gone up and made this announcement in public. All I had done was give an explanation.... That was my first experience of speaking to a large audience.

In the social development section of Mother's middle school record, it is says, "She is courteous, kind and responsible; she contributes to her class by setting an example for others. Her character is both calm and cheerful." Under the general assessment section, it says, "She has the highest grades in her class and she behaves in an exemplary manner," but it also mentions that "she is physically frail and has missed classes."

High School Days

Soon Jeong Hong was working in the supply office of a hospital on a military base in Susan, to which he had been transferred in 1957. Hak Ja needed to go to high school after graduating middle school, but her uncle's family had to relocate to Busan with him. They were in a dilemma because she was without a relative in Seoul who could protect her. Hak Ja entered St. Joseph's Nursing School, the predecessor of the Catholic University Nursing School in March 1959. Older classmates recommended the nursing school dormitory, saying that it followed strict regulations and was a safe place. Accordingly; after graduating from middle school, Hak Ja attended nursing school and stayed in the student residence.

Soon Jeong Hong said, "At the time, True Mother was a young girl, but she spoke fewer words than a man and she was very composed." Under her mother's strict guidance, Hak Ja maintained a chaste and pure life. About her life in those days, True Mother said the following:

I was of a gentle disposition, and was well known in the school as a girl who enjoyed reading or listening to music in a quiet atmosphere. I also gave the impression that I was quite an intelligent girl. I was not emotional or excitable and always rational, so to people I met for the first time 1 would have seemed like a rather cold person.

My life at the time was almost like that of a nun. I avoided doing anything with men, and like a flower blooming in a greenhouse, I completely isolated myself from the outside world. I now know that all of this was part of the preparations made by Heaven to purify me, the woman who was destined to meet the Lord and become his bride one day, but at the time I knew nothing of that.

From the first, I was not an extrovert; on the contrary, I remained quiet, preferred to keep my distance from the world and was happy enough in my own company. When it came to men, I acted as if I did not notice them; not once did I even look at the men around me first. It was because I felt embarrassed in a way when I looked at them. I also felt that 1 would lose my innocence if I did.

In my school days, I did not like gadding about. I avoided sports and enjoyed reading in solitude. Whichever school I attended, the teachers all loved and protected me. Perhaps it was because I was relatively diligent, but the teachers took good care of me. They said I was not like other children of the time and that I should go out more, but only because I liked to sit still and stay quiet rather than because I had more worries than others or anything like that.

Even when I reached puberty, 1 did not worry about life: My maternal grandmother and my mother had implanted in my mind the faith of living a life of serving Heaven at all times.

From time to time, I read novels such as Tess [Tess of the d'Urbervilles]; and I thought to myself that later in life I would like to live in the country with a friend. My friends sometimes said to me, You are somewhat prudish, but you will be the first one of us to marry.

The Wonmo Pyeong-ae Foundation and the Universal Peace Academy

True Mother's concern for the education of our blessed children has seen expression in two substantial initiatives in recent months. One is the creation of offices for the Wonmo Pyeong-ae Foundation, which has the purpose of gathering funds to support the education of our blessed children. Wonmo can be translated as "original mother" and pyeong-ae as "peace and love." True Father launched the idea of the Wonmo Pyeong-ae Foundation at the time of the launching the Won Mo boat in Las Vegas on August 18, 2011 and Mother wants to honor Father's intent. Father envisioned creating a fund of $320 million dollars.

The opening of the foundation offices on December 20, 2012; the foundation's director Kim Man-ho is standing at left.

The foundation must secure funds in order to provide scholarships for students in the years to come. We are informed that in order to do this, it will develop a business foundation.

Mother has also launched the Universal Peace Academy, with the purpose of raising leaders for Cheon Il Guk. The academy offers a graduate course for committed members. Students will complete a two-year master's course in theology, after which they will commit to three years in a public mission our church movement. True Mother aims for the institution to be run like a military academy in that it will offer a high standard of training and education. Its Korean name incorporates the term for military academy.

The Korean academic year begins in March, so the academy will welcome its first intake of students little more than a month from now. Later this year, applications will be invited for 2014.

It is just the beginning for the Universal Peace Academy and Wonmo Pyeong-ae Foundation. But their inception and substantiation indicates that True Parents are still very much present in this world, looking ahead to future generations.

True Mother's Address

Hoondokhwe, Cheon Hwa Gung, December 22, 2014

Are you happy to be here? (Yes) Stop taking photos with the flash. It hurts my eyes. Was it a good thing that I called you here? So what did you gain from your time here? (I came to realize what I had to do.) It's all about building a strong heartistic bond with True Parents. Didn't I make this opportunity for you? (Yes.) Aren't you the children of True Parents? (Yes.) Then you should uphold True Parents' will. I'm grateful that at the very least, you are all mature young adults. How wonderful would it be if you could play a leading role in building Cheon Il Guk, don’t you think? (Yes.) As I told you the other day, you have to take action so that many of your sister nations or the seven billion people of the world can say that they met True Parents while they were on the earth and it was because of you that this was possible. If you can do this your descendants to come will remember you with so much gratitude and appreciation. You stand in that position right now.

However, if you just continue on with your life not knowing this, you will face indemnity. You know what indemnity is through the teachings of the Divine Principle, right? (Yes.) You may not be aware of this but Heaven has its own perspective when it observes your actions. Depending on how you live, the burden of indemnity that remains might be great or small. Your descendants will either face more or less hardships based on how you live now. When you look at providential history, the Israelites were raised up by God for four thousand years, during which time, they waited eagerly for the king of Israel. The Messiah. Jesus. God sent Jesus but they did not recognize him. How could that happen? Even Mary who conceived him through the Holy Spirit, did not attend Jesus. How could she allow him to remain as an assistant to Joseph, a carpenter, for thirty years? Even though she might have been unaware of the providence or God's will and was placed in a difficult environment, in certain times of her life, Heaven had raised her very directly, had even sent the three wise men from the East at the time of Jesus birth to present gifts. It was a testimony that Jesus' birth was special. Mary should have realized then, at that time, how special Jesus was. She should have offered greater devotion and depended on Heaven, asking God what she should do. But what happened? Jesus' life did not survive in the historical records. Why wasn't there anything recorded? Yet, this pitiful Mary is revered as the Holy Mother in the Catholic Church.

True Parents are aware of these secrets. True Parents opened the era of Cheon Il Guk. This problem should be reconciled, don’t you think? A new era has been opened. Therefore, the past should be reconciled and closed. How long will the established theology of the Old Testament remain? We cannot continue to give it credence.=. We have to teach them the New Testament perspective. Mary failed to fulfill her responsibility. Why do you think sixty‐thousand Jews of Israel were slaughtered? Well? Heaven is a God of love. Do you think God would have condoned this? Heaven went through hardships to raise Israel, the chosen nation. This was indemnity for not attending Jesus. Incredibly, even today, Israelites have not been able to firmly establish themselves as a nation.

People are so unaware of Heaven's will. They are ignorant and without knowledge. Somebody must teach them, yet there wasn't a single person who could do that until now. Only True Parents know this truth. You are also in the same position. All of you were reborn through the True Parents. Didn't I tell you that the other day? You were reborn as clear water, not the muddied waters of the fallen world, because of True Parents. And so, you have responsibilities. Responsibilities. You should not abandon your responsibility. You should not ignore it. You don't know what kind of indemnity might be waiting along your path if you do ignore it. You have to make it so that people know Heaven’s will. You might end up in the most blessed position or the most dreadful position depending on if you decide to ignore or take up your responsibility. You have to become second‐ and third‐generation blessed families who live above accusations from future generations. Do you understand? (Yes.) To do so, you have to learn what you failed to learn until now. This [Las Vegas] is where True Father carried out the final stages of providential history. You won't be able to see everything during the short time you are here visiting. This place is blessed with the unblemished, beautiful nature. This city was once a desert. What did they build in order to give life to this city? The Hoover Dam was built later. This place is called Sin City. There is a lot of corruption where money is circulated. The Roman Empire and other wealthy nations in history perished because of the collapse of morality, rampant corruption, and illegalities stemming from money. This city however is being transformed.

How much would a hotel room cost in New York or in the other larger cities? What about the New Yorker Hotel? (It is about $350 per night.) Other cities charge about $350 to $500. How much is it here during the off‐season?$ 26? $10? These are this city’s rates. Did you know that? That's why True Father said that all the people of the world wanted to come to this place. Not to gamble. Conventions are held all year round in this city. The most famous conventions of the world are constantly held in this city. So, how many people come here each month? They say that about forty million people come and go to this place. True Father distributed a lot of copies of his autobiography in this city. He shared it with everyone. I'm sure there are a lot of people who read his autobiography. So if we meet these people on the streets, create a bond, and convey the word, later, when they finish their business in this place and return to their homes, they may just drop by one of the Unification Church centers, FFWPU, and be connected with our movement. If people are witnessed to at this place, the affect will spread on to other nations of the world, if not temporarily. True Father thought about how to create financial independence for the projects he started here. Will the construction of the Peace Education Center be completed at the end of February? When it is completed, I intend to have people educated there.

True Father spoke about this project but was not there to see it completed. I am now going to complete it while carrying this heavy burden. Do you understand that? America, You are indebted to me. This [Las Vegas] is that kind of place. True Father was thinking about the seven billion people of the world. He did not forget about them for even a second. He wanted to quickly tell all the people of the world during his lifetime that the True Parents are here and that people can live only by the lifestyle taught by True Parents'. So, should I bring an end to this or not? (You should continue this.) Then it will cost a lot of money. I heard that there are many competent people among you. Let's put our strength together. Do you want to do that? (Yes!) I am no longer young. Will your success be with True Mother? Or for your own selves? There is a big difference between the two; if you succeed with True Mother, this will be recorded in history. Do you understand? (Yes!) Shouldn't you offer a lot of devotion? For True Mother’s sake? (Yes.) And shouldn't you make more effort? (Yes.) You should make effort to bring another person, another life, closer to True Parents so that they can attend True Parents.

You know all of this. There are a lot of problems in the world today. Border disputes, issues in Asia, and the Soviet Union is in conflict with Ukraine. Isn’t that right? Asia is also in turmoil. The entire world is in turmoil. Ideological conflict, racial discrimination, religious conflict, conflict after conflict. This only brings destruction. It is destructive. Human beings continue to destroy without any consideration for this beautiful planet. In the end, the planet Earth will be devastated, and human beings will perish. Isn’t that right? You probably don't know this but I don't sleep well at night. Well? What should be done at this, the last stretch? I will reorganize the system of operations for our future generations and trim away all the excess branches so that we can advance with a clear path. Didn't I say this before? Our movement is one large current. It is the main stream. Where is it headed? It is headed out toward the world; to the great ocean. Countless of lives will be revived in the wake of this current. It brings life because it is healthy water. All of you must join this current. Only then, will you have a healthy future. Isn't this easy to understand? (Yes.) Didn't I use a good metaphor? (Yes.)

Yesterday, I considered whether to give a long speech to the ministers and others who came for the Christmas Sunday Service. The video featured was long and the entire program was long. I thought you would be hungry so I kept it short. After I came down from the podium, my grandchildren told me that I was awesome and that my speech was great. (Laughter) Shinwol Shinwol. You should boast about this to your older sisters and brothers. Didn't you listen to my speech and say that it was great? Okay. Let's sing "One day in October".

Fulfill Your Responsibilities

Are you happy to be here? (Yes) Stop taking photos with the flash. It hurts my eyes. Was it a good thing that I called you here? So what did you gain from your time here? (I came to realize what I had to do.) It’s all about building a strong heartistic bond with True Parents. Didn’t I make this opportunity for you? (Yes.) Aren’t you the children of True Parents? (Yes.) Then you should uphold True Parents’ will. I’m grateful that at the very least, you are all mature young adults.

Even though she might have been unaware of the providence or God’s will and was placed in a difficult environment, in certain times of her life, Heaven had raised her very directly, had even sent the three wise men from the East at the time of Jesus birth to present gifts. It was a testimony that Jesus’ birth was special. Mary should have realized then, at that time, how special Jesus was. She should have offered greater devotion and depended on Heaven, asking God what she should do. But what happened? Jesus’ life did not survive in the historical records. Why wasn’t there anything recorded? Yet, this pitiful Mary is revered as the Holy Mother in the Catholic Church.

True Parents are aware of these secrets. True Parents opened the era of Cheon Il Guk. This problem should be reconciled, don’t you think? A new era has been opened. Therefore, the past should be reconciled and closed. How long will the established theology of the Old Testament remain? We cannot continue to give it credence. We have to teach them the New Testament perspective. Mary failed to fulfill her responsibility. Why do you think sixty-thousand Jews of Israel were slaughtered? Well? Heaven is a God of love. Do you think God would have condoned this? Heaven went through hardships to raise Israel, the chosen nation. This was indemnity for not attending Jesus. Incredibly, even today, Israelites have not been able to firmly establish themselves as a nation.

People are so unaware of Heaven’s will. They are ignorant and without knowledge. Somebody must teach them, yet there wasn’t a single person who could do that until now. Only True Parents know this truth. You are also in the same position. All of you were reborn through the True Parents. Didn’t I tell you that the other day? You were reborn as clear water, not the muddied waters of the fallen world, because of True Parents. And so, you have responsibilities.

Responsibilities. You should not abandon your responsibility. You should not ignore it. You don’t know what kind of indemnity might be waiting along your path if you do ignore it. You have to make it so that people know Heaven’s will. You might end up in the most blessed position or the most dreadful position depending on if you decide to ignore or take up your responsibility. You have to become second- and thirdgeneration blessed families who live above accusations from future generations. Do you understand? (Yes.) To do so, you have to learn what you failed to learn until now. This [Las Vegas] is where True Father carried out the final stages of providential history. You won’t be able to see everything during the short time you are here visiting.

How much is it here during the off-season?$ 26? $10? These are this city’s rates. Did you know that? That’s why True Father said that all the people of the world wanted to come to this place. Not to gamble. Conventions are held all year round in this city. The most famous conventions of the world are constantly held in this city. So, how many people come here each month? They say that about forty million people come and go to this place. True Father distributed a lot of copies of his autobiography in this city. He shared it with everyone. I’m sure there are a lot of people who read his autobiography.

He wanted to quickly tell all the people of the world during his lifetime that the True Parents are here and that people can live only by the lifestyle taught by True Parents’. So, should I bring an end to this or not? (You should continue this.) Then it will cost a lot of money. I heard that there are many competent people among you. Let’s put our strength together. Do you want to do that? (Yes!) I am no longer young. Will your success be with True Mother? Or for your own selves? There is a big difference between the two; if you succeed with True Mother, this will be recorded in history. Do you understand? (Yes!) Shouldn’t you offer a lot of devotion? For True Mother’s sake? Whenever I think about God’s providence, my heart is heavy

Sunday Service message in Las Vegas

My beloved children, blessed children of the Unification Church and Ambassadors for Peace: I’m delighted to see you. Today we are celebrating Christmas. When we celebrate Christmas, we should think about God’s providential history and God’s heart. Whenever I think about God’s providence, my heart is heavy. In the world there are parents, and they celebrate their children’s birthday; they hope their children will grow and be healthy and be blessed. They pray for their success. If that’s the case with earthly parents, what was the case with God’s heart when He created the universe? He had a dream and a hope for the universe. When God created human beings, He was full of that dream; He was so excited.

HakJaHan-141221a-2.png

We learn from the Divine Principle that God wanted to give human beings complete authority. He wanted them to grow well. But what happened? The mistake that Adam and Eve made was so incredible, it brought such terrible suffering to human beings and to God. Human history became a history of suffering and grief. But God could not abandon humankind.

HakJaHan-141221a-3.png

God has been searching for and longing for human beings. You, as children of God, have you ever felt that kind of pain? How could He abandon human beings? God’s pain is a field of bitter sorrow. Human beings are so ignorant; God had to raise them up. Through the Bible you know that it took four thousand years to send the Messiah. God lived such a sorrowful, painful existence, but He could not help but try and try again to recover human beings. Two thousand years ago the people of Israel wanted to find the unfallen lineage. God wanted to send His begotten son, Jesus, but, until He could, how many ordeals did God have to suffer? You clergy members must have read the Bible many times. Have you ever really comforted God’s heart? God finally sent His begotten son, but what was this cross that He had to bear? Why was this begotten son killed? To have this happen after four thousand years of preparation—do you really understand what it means, you ministers who are here? It was humankind’s mistake.

HakJaHan-141221a-4.png

God’s heart was full of bitter sorrow. People in the world are celebrating at Christmastime with joy. However, how many people really understand the situation of God? When I really think of it, my heart is painful.

We should become children who are able to comfort God’s heart. I’m sorry that I cannot control my emotions. I already said before, we are the people who know True Parents. But Jesus, who came two thousand years ago as the begotten son, should have met the begotten daughter. The Roman Empire was already prepared to be the realm of kings. It was already prepared to enable Jesus’ message to be spread throughout the world. But two thousand years of suffering have passed since then. Jesus promised that he would return, and he promised the Feast of the Lamb. That means he wanted to restore humankind as God’s children. That’s the providence God wants to carry out. Yet, for two thousand years there were a lot of problems in Christian history. They could be settled only in the 16th century. That’s when the Bible was translated to English and to other languages, and that’s how Christianity could spread.

HakJaHan-141221a-5.png

Christians wanted to be free from the conventional norms, and the Pilgrim Fathers of America wanted to be free from their country, especially from their national religion, and they wanted to come to a New World. They thought of God first. Before they built homes for themselves, first they built a church; then, for the sake of the future generations, they built a school, and then finally they built their own homes. That’s the indemnity course that humankind should follow. But as human beings they made a lot of mistakes. Democracy came from Christianity. But communism also came from Christianity. However, God promised to send the Messiah, the Lord of the Second Advent. God continued His preparations to send the Lord of the Second Advent. It started from the Roman Empire and on to England. The British Empire was so huge, it was said that the “sun never sets” on it. It expanded with the Bible. Its purpose was to receive the Lord of the Second Advent.

What we have to understand is that we are fallen human beings who could not align with God. We did not have a clear center. We have a lot of hidden stories. Still, God sent the Lord of the Second Advent whom He had prepared. Through many difficulties, finally the True Parents of humankind were sent.

There are many problems in the world. Religious problems, racial problems and more. But no one can solve the problems. Can they be solved by the president? Can they be solved by the United Nations? They tried. They could not solve these problems. They can be solved only by True Parents, whom God loves. They can solve these problems. Do you understand? Furthermore, today throughout the world there are four major religions, but God has been leading the providence centering on humanity.

Jesus said that he was the only begotten son of God, and he talked about the father-son relationship. But in order for him to be the parents of humanity, there need to be a mother as well as a father. We know that.

We are living beyond the Completed Testament Age and in the era of Cheon Il Guk. We need to share that with the world by bringing others out of the Old and New Testament Ages.

I told the Cranes Club that their lineage is like pure water, thanks to their parents having received the Marriage Blessing. And the fallen world is like muddy water. But even pure water can be muddied. You should bring 7 billion people back to God. You need to educate people about True Parents. That’s why you became blessed families. Do you understand? You have that responsibility.

How could nations fight if they were dedicated to one set of parents? How could they be focused only on themselves? Only when you are centered on True Parents can you really prosper. There are many Unificationists. But if you move forward with one goal with your brothers and sisters, you can be great. Do you want to do that?

HakJaHan-141221a-6.png

True Parents’ motto is to live for the sake of others. If you can do that, you can unify the world. You can be a true parent as well. Then we can build the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. If you want to do that, you should work very hard. You also need to become tribal messiahs, to restore your families. That should not be a very big job; True Parents are trying to restore the seven billion people of the world.

HakJaHan-141221a-7.png

You can be patriots. You should become the kind of children who participate in this historic world. Then your life will be very honorable. Just keep the frame of mind that the lives of seven billion people are in your hands. How can you be comfortable knowing this? You should do your very best; you should practice the words that you already believe. I hope you can understand and act upon this. Please think about the grievances and bitter sorrow of all people. We should become victors. We should not live only for our life on the earth; rather we should become victors for our eternal life in the spirit world. I hope you can be the kind of people who will do that. If you can, you will be remembered for eternity!

Over a thousand people celebrate Christmas in Las Vegas with True Mother

Over a thousand people answered True Mother’s invitation to come to Las Vegas and celebrate Christmas with her today, December 21, 2014. Everyone was so excited to see True Mother this morning, as she was excited to see everyone. The South Point Hotel was filled with people eager to hear True Mother’s message and joyful to be in her presence, and though this Christmas gathering was big, it was so focused and orderly. An atmosphere of respect and togetherness filled the room, making for a truly wonderful program.

HakJaHan-141221-2.png

True Mother addressed the crowd, again encouraging us to be confident in sharing about True Parents as she has done all year. She said that Christmas is usually a time of joy and celebration, but when she thinks about the life of Jesus and the years of suffering that God went through in order to send his only begotten son only to have him crucified, her heart is heavy. Then she asked, now that True Parents are here, what are we going to do? Are we going to allow the same thing to happen again? Are we going to allow God to continue suffering? True Mother could not hold back her tears, apologizing for not being able to contain her emotions. This was truly a touching and thought provoking moment for everyone.

HakJaHan-141221-3.png

True Mother was fervent and serious about her reflection, and it was clear that she wanted to share this important message. At the same time, evident from the celebration that followed the service, she wanted the day to be a joyful experience. She was very happy to see so many Cranes Club participants, and her message was enveloped in the love and joy she has for everyone. As the crowd moved into another room for the Christmas celebration, the energy was high, and families were so happy to be celebrating the holiday season with True Mother.

A banquet with light-hearted, beautiful and exciting entertainment spanned the afternoon. At the start of the banquet, Japanese, American, and Korean representatives from the Cranes Club presented True Mother with gifts. There was a musical offering from the Los Angeles Family Church band, as well as songs by professional singers Kiah Victoria and Jung-Hwa Kwan. The evening came to a bouncy end, with a performance from the Bounce team performing True Mother’s daily morning exercise routine, a sure contributor to how happy and healthy True Mother looks.

This day of celebration was ultimately a reminder of how grateful we are for the gifts we have been given. For one, we had the opportunity to welcome and thank an entire delegation from Japan who donated to the International Peace Education Center in Las Vegas. It’s the season of giving; we have received so much from our True Parents, and are determined to give back all we have received by moving forward united on their vision. Everyone was grateful to gather as one global family today, celebrating all of True Parents’ accomplishments in America and celebrating Christmas, not only with gifts but with determination.

Jesus, should have met God's only begotten daughter

Jesus, who came two thousand years ago as the begotten son, should have met the begotten daughter and become a True Parent. The Cain-type realm was already prepared at that time in the form of the vast Roman Empire.

True Mother is welcomed with flowers

True Mother is welcomed with flowers

Jesus' path to the world was already prepared through this foundation.

However, this did not happen and he promised to return, though it would be after two-thousand sorrowful years. When he said that he would return, what did he say he would do? He said that he would hold the feast of the lamb. God's providence intended for Jesus to become the True Parent so that he can give new life and resurrect fallen humankind.

Yet, for two thousand years there were many problems in Christian history. They could be settled only in the sixteenth century. That's when the Bible was translated into English and to other languages making it accessible to the general public, and that's how Christianity could spread.

Isn't this true? Christians wanted to be free from the conventional norms and all the conditions and terms stipulated by the privileged class. The Pilgrim Fathers of America wanted to be free in worship God. This puritan movement led to the creation of a new nation that we know as America today.
