Let us be grateful for the miracle of carrying out the Will in the same age with True Parents!

True Mother’s Words to 43 elder couples from Japan on May 28th 2015, at Cheon Hwa Gung. Las Vegas

HakJaHan-150528a-1.png

you are now in your 70s or 80s, having spent much more than half of your life. Your life on earth will not be so long. Your lifestyle during this period on earth will determine your spiritual realm. It is that serious!.

I have heard that many spiritual dispensations are taking place in Japan. A dedicated church member heard a spiritual voice, which turned out to be from her ancestor. Thanks to this member’s good conditions such as ancestors’ liberation and other merits, her ancestors are said to dwell in an unimaginably huge residence. Thus, her ancestors are so grateful for their descendants on earth. This is a case in point that merits of descendants on earth can expand the spiritual realm of their ancestors.

Unlike other people, you can live in the same age with True Parents, following True Parents’ Will and courses. From True Parents’ point of view, all the 7 billion humankind must be restored as children of True Parents. In that way, all mankind will become one human family under God.

Therefore, in your remaining life period, you must introduce True Parents by all means. You should testify to True Parents. You have to open a channel for everyone to be reborn by True Parents and to live as Blessed Families.

In the 2,000-year history of Christianity, many cultures were raised in Europe. They were meant to prepare for the Second Coming. With enormous preparations, however, they do not recognize True Parents, do they? But you have attended True Parents and develop a new culture with True Parents. What a life of miracles you are now living!

Regrettably, you have become old, with the remaining 3 or 10 or 20 years left. You have to expand your spiritual realm through your accomplishments on earth. In your daily lives, practice goodness and produce good fruits, and you become ‘wealthy people’ in the spirit world.

Even there, True Parents will recognize those who have endeavored together with True Parents in the same age. However great accomplishments your descendants may produce, True Parents cannot recollect them personally. They will have to say, “I am a child of so and so!” or “I am a descendant of so and so!”

How precious that you are alive in association with True Parents this way! You should live a life of gratitude!

The Peace Palace is where Father will educate all mankind and embrace the whole world. From now on, centering on the Peace Place, we have to educate Ambassadors for Peace of the world, making them substantial Blessed Families. You should not just guide them but let them practice the teachings in their lives.

The time with True Parents and the time without are very different, aren’t they? Since I am alive on earth, we have to establish the tradition which can unify the whole world. Do you understand? You need to feel thankful for breathing together with me on earth.”

“You are most welcome!

Our Heavenly Parent we feel deeply the sadness of your ordeal. You had no other choice but to carry out the Providence of Restoration through indemnity, a providence you did not wish to see. Yet as the True Parent you are in a position where you have to embrace all of humanity. You therefore established your big dream here in Las Vegas. Creating the Peace Palace in order to educate and embrace your children from around the world. We have not had a day when we could fully attend and serve you because of the inadequacy of our leaders. Please forgive us for our undutiful attitude.

Father I sincerely pray that you can directly work through this institution in your search for all of humanity. Whom you had hoped to find for so long. Father we are sorry. As we dedicate this great building to you today. Please bless it so that it becomes a place where many children in this nation and from around the world can come to truly realize that our Heavenly Parents and True Parents are living and working together in a place where your hopes are realized. Please oversee the entire program.

I pray in the name of True Parents.

Europe and the Family Federation

The Power of the Underground Movement in the Eastern Bloc in the Cold War…Church Currently Boasts 25,000 Members

Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon first visited Europe in 1965. They visited 16 nations over 40 days, including Lisbon, Portugal and the Vatican. During the tour, 19 new holy ground sites were established. They then visited Europe more than 20 times after that, in which they focused on evangelism. On March 28th, 1969, they held a marriage ceremony for eight couples in Hessen, Germany, the first of many Family Federation mass weddings to be held in Europe. “The Family Federation in Europe saw the most growth in the 1970s. About 60% of our current members joined at that time,” said Family Federation European Regional President Young-Sik An. “As the hippie movement began in Europe and the traditions of purity and the family began to break down, the Family Federation was warmly welcomed for its opposite views.” The Church still opposes same-sex relationships and protects family values, according to President An.

The “50 Years of European Evangelism” Event, held at the Austria Center in Vienna on May 10th, drew an enthusiastic crowd of European members. The Austria Center, which is a landmark stadium similar to the COEX in Korea, was filled with 2,500 members from 35 different nations. The blonde-haired, blue-eyed people of Europe listened courteously to Dr. Hak Ja Han’s keynote address, which she delivered in Korean, through simultaneous interpretation and subtitles. The members all sang the “Cheon Il Guk National Anthem” in Korean as well, making for a very unusual sight. Many of the members brought along their children as well. The couples who were brought together through the mass wedding ceremonies of Rev. and Dr. Moon have now produced a 2nd generation of members, and even some 3rd generation members as well, according to the Family Federation.

According to the Family Federation, the underground evangelist movement centered in Eastern Europe played a part in the collapse of the former Soviet Union, the heart of Communism. During President Gorbachev’s term in office (1985-1991), the former Soviet Union sent 5,000 university students to the United States over several trips, for seven-day visits in which they could experience the free world. These students received education in the Family Federation Principle (the central teaching of the church). In 1990, Rev. Moon met with Gorbachev and promised to support his open-door reform in return for a favor. The Family Federation also points out that when tanks stood in the Red Square of Moscow when Gorbachev imprisoned extreme conservatives, many of the protestors who stood up against the tanks were “Sun Myung Moon’s Kids.”

At the Professors World Peace Academy International Conference, held at the Continental Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland in 1985, Rev. Moon was said to have predicted the fall of the Soviet Union and Communism. About 2,000 Family Federation youth of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) gathered in front of the Berlin Wall in 1987 to march for the destruction of the wall and peace in the world. The Family Federation claims that it was the largest-scale international gathering to be held since the construction of the Berlin Wall. At the “50 Years of European Evangelism” event, a video was shown of Rev. Moon’s oldest son, the late Hyo Jin Moon, giving a passionate speech in English at a protest in Berlin.

Europe, particularly Germany, has been regarded by the Family Federation as having a particular significance from a business perspective. During his life, Rev. Moon said that “In order to bring about peace, we must do away with the technological gap between affluent and poor nations.” He called for the “standardization of technology,” and said that this would happen first in Germany. In 1981, Rev. Moon visited Germany for six months to observe the machine industry there, after which he took over many German businesses. The technologies used in the machine parts businesses Heyligenstaedt, Honsberg, Bourcer and Wanderer became the foundation for the Tongil Heavy Industries in Changwon.

However, the path that the Family Federation has walked in Europe has not been an easy one. They received opposition not only from Communist powers, but from the Christian Church of Western Europe as well. In the 1990s, Rev. Moon was banned from entering 15 Western European nations for various reasons. Dr. Han is seen as the source of the revival in Europe. Rev. Moon’s ban lasted for about 10 years before being lifted. In 2007, the German Supreme Court ruled that Rev. Moon’s name be lifted off the list of people banned from entry into the country. In Europe, many nations require a person’s religion to be listed on their official papers. Many nations do not yet recognize the Family Federation as a legitimate religion. Austria, after 40 years of evangelism, recognizes the Family Federation as a legitimate religion for the first time this year..

Family Federation’s Loving Care and Investment: The Best Chance to Visit North Korea

An interview with True Mother by Weekly Chosun (a Korean National Major Weekly Magazine), published on May 25~31, 2015 issue. Translated by Steve Sakuwa of Tongil Foundation.

HakJaHan-150525a-1.png

We carried out underground evangelist activities when no one else could during the Cold War.” Head of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon (72) pauses for a beat before speaking. This was her answer to the reporter’s question as to what she regarded as her husband, Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s, biggest achievement in Europe. Dr. Han is visiting Austria, the location of the headquarters of Eastern European evangelism during the Cold War, for the “first time in 19 years.” She continued, “2,500 members gathered from 35 nations across Europe to come see me. Some people drove for 32 hours to attend our event.”

We met Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon at the Hilton Hotel in Vienna, Austria’s capital, on May 11th. She received Korean reporters in the penthouse sitting room on the 15th floor, which boasted a breathtaking view of the city. Dr. Han had previously attended the “50 Years of European Evangelism” event, which was held by the Family Federation at the Austria Center on the previous day. Before meeting us, she gave the keynote address at an international conference held at the UN Office in Vienna under the banner, “The UN at 70: Toward a Resolution of Tensions on the Korean Peninsula.” She then held a meeting with Korean reporters.

According to the Family Federation, this is the first interview conducted between Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon and the press. “Neither Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who passed away in 2012, nor Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, has ever conducted a press interview,” said Public Relations Manager Ho-Yeul An. “The interview was an unexpected decision on the part of Dr. Han.”

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who is continuing the work of her late husband in the Family Federation, has received a fair amount of attention in Korea. Many have been watching her to see whether she will be able to inherit and develop “the Kingdom of the Family Federation,” originally started by Rev. Sun Myung Moon. The Tongil Group maintains assets worth 1.7 trillion won and manages 13 subsidiary companies in Korea alone. The church is estimated to have about 3,000,000 members worldwide, including 600,000 members in Japan. Dr. Han has received notable attention for her relationship with her children since her husband’s death. She had her fourth son Kook Jin Moon, who had overseen Tongil Group, and her seventh son Hyung Jin Moon, who managed the religious aspect of the Church, step down from their positions. In regards to her third son Hyun Jin Moon, who is embroiled in a lawsuit with the Church for property in Yeouido and other various disputes, Dr. Han’s stance is she will accept after he repents for his mistakes and return the property to its rightful owner.

In contrast to Dr. Han’s treatment of her sons, this March, she appointed her fifth daughter Sun Jin Moon as the International President of FFWPU. “Dr. Han commands the organization with just as much charisma as her husband, Rev. Sun Myung Moon,” said a representative of the Family Federation.

When we met with her today, she looked astonishingly young and healthy for her 70 years. She spoke in a high, strong voice and shone with a healthy complexion. “I walk a bit to maintain my health,” she said. “I have to stay healthy because I plan to continue traveling even in my old age.” After touring Europe to celebrate 50 years of evangelism on the continent, Dr. Han plans to visit the United States to attend the opening ceremony of a Family Federation education center in Las Vegas. She will continue her 42-day world tour before returning to Korea.

Dr. Han was accompanied to her interview by Family Federation International President Sun Jin Moon, Women’s Federation for World Peace International President Yeon-Ah Moon, Universal Ballet Director Hoon-Sook Moon and others. President Yeon-Ah Moon is the wife of Dr. Han’s first son, the late Hyo Jin Moon, and General Director Hoon-Sook Moon is the wife of her second son, the late Heung Jin Moon. General Director Hoon-Sook Moon brought the Little Angels with her on this visit for performances in Europe. During the interview, Dr. Han’s daughter and daughters-in-law did not budge an inch, as they sat resolutely, listening quietly and courteously to her words.

Dr. Han said that the congregation of the European church, which is celebrating 50 years of evangelism, is growing in number, particularly among the young people. “Europe is the flower of Christian history and culture,” said Dr. Han. “Many young people flock to the [Family Federation] of Europe. That is my hope for the future.” According to the Family Federation, the congregation of the European church is about 25,000 people, with about 2,500 to 3,000 members each in Germany, England and France, and about 10,000 members in Eastern Europe. The church also explained that it was receiving attention in Europe for its views in opposition to same-sex marriage and other progressive ideas, which they regard as leading to the destruction of the traditional family. Dr. Han discovered at the “50 Years of European Evangelism” event that the congregation of young people was growing rapidly in both France and Albania. She donated 1,000,000 Euros to each nation to help build youth education centers for the Family Federation.

Dr. Han told us that the underground evangelist movement in Eastern Europe during the Cold War began with the “Victory over Communism” (VOC) movement in 1968. The underground evangelist movement began in earnest after “Prague Spring” in Czechoslovakia, and brought about 100 new members in the Czech Republic alone. Many of the evangelists, however, were imprisoned or faced with oppression. In April of 1974, one evangelist was even martyred in a prison in Bratislava in present-day Slovakia. The underground evangelist movement of the Family Federation at that time was dubbed “Operation Butterfly.” The members who had received training as evangelists worked in absolute secrecy. They told their loved ones simply that they had left the church, then becoming “butterflies” as they entered the Eastern Bloc. At the “50 Years of European Evangelism” event in Vienna at the Austria Center, a video was shown commemorating the Family Federation’s first martyred evangelist in 1994 and other evangelist “butterflies.”

In contrast to her husband, who focused strongly on interreligious and peace movements, Dr. Han hinted at focusing her strength in the autumn of her life on evangelism. “We are also focusing on evangelism in Asia right now,” she said. “We are expanding our congregation in Thailand, India, Nepal and other nations, and many young people are joining in Laos and Vietnam as well.” After Rev. Moon’s death, Dr. Han has measurably restructured the Family Federation by halting the Peace Cup and other enterprises. “Of course I would like to continue the work of my husband. However, first things come first,” she said as she explained her plan of focus. Dr. Han plans to concentrate on educating young leaders as a top priority. “I think of the seven billion people on earth as my children, and I need to open up a path for them. I hope to also be able to continue the social work if possible. I am working now to produce many new leaders of the future who can lead the world. I will spare no expense in this effort.”

In 2013, Dr. Han founded the Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation, a scholarship foundation worth 100 billion won. The Foundation is very active, having carried out an event in March in which about 2,000 students from 68 nations were presented with 10 billion won in scholarships.

Dr. Han also hinted at plans to visit North Korea, a nation with which the Family Federation has maintained a friendly relationship. “I have lived my life for the sake of others. I can accomplish anything if I live for the sake of the nation. The time is approaching for a visit to [North Korea].”

The Family Federation explained that Dr. Han received an invitation to visit North Korea from Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. In 2012, after the death of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Kim Jong Un sent his condolences to the bereaved through Peace Motors President Sang-Kwon Park, along with an invitation for Dr. Han to visit North Korea. Then Vice Chairman of the National Defense Commission of North Korea Sung-Taek Jang and Workers’ Party of Korea Director of United Front Department Yang-Gon Kim visited an incense altar erected in honor of Rev. Sun Myung Moon at the World Peace Center in Pyeongyang, and Kim Jong Un sent flowers in condolence to Rev. Moon’s seventh son Hyung Jin Moon, who visited North Korea previously. “North Korea takes very good care of us. My husband had a very deep relationship with Premier Kim Il Sung. Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un have continued to respect the will [of late Kim Il Sung towards the Family Federation],” explained Dr. Han.

The Unification Movement manages about seven or eight local subsidiaries in North Korea, including Peace Motors, the Botonggang Hotel and the World Peace Center. After turning over management and shares to North Korea, they began searching for a new enterprise. The Family Federation turned over all shares of Peace Motors, the first equity joint venture between North and South Korea, and the North Korean Joseon Minheung Company over to North Korea after Rev. Moon’s death at the end of 2013. “We are looking into establishing a distribution company similar to E-Mart in Pyeongyang,” said a representative.

The Unification Movement manages about seven or eight local subsidiaries in North Korea, including Peace Motors, the Botonggang Hotel and the World Peace Center. After turning over management and shares to North Korea, they began searching for a new enterprise. The Unification Movement turned over all shares of Peace Motors, the first equity joint venture between North and South Korea, North Korean Joseon Minheung Company owned a 30% share and Peace Moters owned a 70% share. Peace Motors signed over their share to North Korea for free at the end of 2013, following Rev. Moon’s death. “We are looking into establishing a distribution company similar to E-Mart in Pyeongyang,” said a representative.

“I didn’t want to speak about difficult topics,” began Dr. Han in response to a question about the doctrine of the Family Federation. The Family Federation doctrine has largely been regarded as heresy by the Christian Church. “That is a mistake on the part of the Christian establishment. My husband emerged on the scene speaking of true love and living for the sake of others. He did not fight with the Christian Church. They cannot say anything against us from a theoretical standpoint. They are lacking in a theoretical standpoint compared to us. They came to fear us. That is why they continue to try to paint us in a bad light.”

“Christian people do not know what they should believe and what they are waiting for,” said Dr. Han. “Jesus came as the second Adam. However, he was unable to find a partner and begin a family. That is why he needed to come again. At that time, he said that he would come and hold the banquet of the lamb. It appears in the Book of Revelation. What does this refer to? It is referring to marriage. Over the course of 2,000 years, Christianity needed to lay the foundation for the begotten daughter of God. Christians are unaware of this fact.”

Dr. Han referred to herself as the “Only Begotten Daughter,” and to herself and her husband as the “True Parents,” with the implication that she and her husband established the family that Jesus was unable to create. “The completion of the family is crucial. At the beginning of time, God told man to establish families, but the true family was lost,” she said. “The providence of restoration is the completion of the ideal family. The True Parents fulfill the model of that ideal.”

Dr. Han, who was born in Anju, Pyeongannam-do, married Rev. Sun Myung Moon at the age of 17. She gave birth to seven sons and seven daughters by him. She considers her meeting Rev. Moon as a providential event. “When Korea was under Japanese rule, my uncle studied pharmacology at Waseda University. When he graduated, he was supposed to return to our hometown, but instead he entered the army in South Korea. When I went with my maternal grandmother and mother to visit him, the Korean War began, just after we crossed the 38th parallel. Heaven led me out of North Korea.”

“My husband received a revelation to go to North Korea, which was under Communist rule at the time. On his way there, he was imprisoned in Heungnam Prison.” After the Korean War broke out, “the Soviet Union boycotted the UN Security Council. In the meantime, the UN decided to send troops to Korea, which eventually led to the release of my husband from prison. All of that was the will of heaven,” said Dr. Han. Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who was born in Jeongju in Pyeonganbuk-do, was imprisoned from February, 1948 to October, 1950 in Heungnam Prison. The day before his execution, he was released from prison by the UN troops, explained the Family Federation. After establishing the Family Federation, Dr. Han did everything together with her husband. “We have the same goal,” she said. “The Messiah couple, who is to come in the last days, must complete the history of the providence of restoration and indemnity. I was young when we got married, but I determined to take responsibility because I was chosen as his wife, so what could we have possibly ever fought about?”

Throughout her trip to Europe, Dr. Han emphasized the importance of expanding the church even after Rev. Moon’s passing. At the “50 Years of European Evangelism” event in Austria, she spoke about olive trees, which take 15 years to put down roots in the barren earth of Israel, but live for over 2,000 years. “I hope that after 50 years of putting down your roots, Europe as well will be able to become a pivotal continent in the mission of fulfilling God’s providence of restoration.”

Dr. Han has changed greatly since her husband’s death, according to the Family Federation. She also established the “Cheon Il Guk Constitution” in August, 2013. According to the Family Federation, “the Cheon Il Guk Constitution stipulates the makeup and rights of the Cheon Il Guk Supreme Council, which is the highest legislative organ of the church. Dr. Han granted the Supreme Council with all of her authority and power in the instance in which she could not fulfill her duties.”

HakJaHan-150525-3.png

The blonde-haired, blueeyed people of Europe listened courteously to Dr.

Austria, after 40 years of evangelism, recognizes the Family Federation as a legitimate religion for the first time this year.

True Father, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, 1000-Day Memorial Celebration

Introduction to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon
By Sun Jin Moon, International President, FFWPU

Dear respected elders. Beloved brothers and sisters. We gather today absolutely centered on our Heavenly Parent and our Beloved True Parents.

Thank you very much for joining this special program here at the Manhattan Center in New York City. I am deeply moved and honored to be here with you today.

We all know how much True Parents invested their unconditional love, sincere devotion, absolute faith, and entire beings into this nation. Today we honor their eternal legacy, and your blessed legacy centered on True Parents.

This program today also commemorates 1000 days since our True Father’s ascension. Therefore, we gather at this time in honor of our beloved True Father, filled with a heart of deepest respect, appreciation and love.

Since True Father’s ascension, nearly three years ago, we have been on a dramatic journey, with many changes, internal and externally, both in our movement and in the world. It is as if the whole world was shaken by True Father’s passing. I know that each and every one of you has gone through some pain and suffering, perhaps even doubt, during this time.

Therefore, let us continually give our prayers, love, compassion, and support to all the members of our global family who have been affected by this great loss. And, let us live our lives centered on the truth, and make sincere effort to serve and love the whole human family. These are trying times. But, although it may be an uphill climb, let us all work together to help one another not only persevere, but emerge victorious.

Sometimes the challenges of life can seem almost too much to bear. However, if at such times we reflect on the power of love, faith, benevolence, and goodness, we open up to the light. We begin to appreciate heroes among us who, by their example and their vision and their words, show us the way out of the darkness and lead us to the light; they give us hope.

There has been a person in my life who has always inspired me, even in darkest times. Someone who has an unwavering will, a global consciousness, fearless determination, absolute love, and selfless devotion for the sake of humankind. I think you can guess who I am talking about.

Our True Mother, of course.

There is no other person on earth who can match our True Father’s example other than our True Mother. Despite losing her husband of 52 years, the father to their 14 children; despite being now in this physical world without her cosmic partner, the half that makes her whole; and despite losing her one and only true love, True Mother never stops to focus on, or complain about, her own difficulties. On the contrary, she always looks to ease the pain of others, giving out love and hope, and educating us all to embrace the victorious future of “Vision 2020”, Cheon Il Guk, and one family under our Heavenly Parent.

As you know, True Mother has been in Europe, honoring 50 years of the Unification Movement. You have seen the reports, but let me say that the outpouring of love and support from European brothers and sisters and next generations toward True Mother was profoundly moving.

In Vienna, nearly 3000 members gathered to welcome True Mother, both our most senior European members and the 2nd and 3rd generation members. True Mother shared her heart of true love toward all European Blessed Central families, and she gave special recognition to those who had sacrificed as missionaries in communist countries, the members of the “butterfly” mission.

True Mother met with about 400 2nd generation European members for a meeting of the “Crane’s Club.” The meeting was filled joy, with singing, sharing, and tears of genuine care and healing. True Mother also spoke at the UN Headquarters in Vienna, and called for a global spiritual awakening, stating that only if the United Nations and all people connect to God, our Heavenly Parent, can we solve global problems. I hope you can study her speech as it clearly illustrates why we have never been able to realize a peaceful world. The history of war, separation, suffering, and darkness is impossible to escape without True Parents and Heavenly Parent. Only True Parents’ heart and example can open the way for all 7 billion of our Heavenly Parent’s sons and daughters throughout this world to come together as one united, global family.

True Mother also spent time in Europe making spiritual conditions, hiking up steep mountain paths, and communing with the natural universe and connecting with the eternal energy that exists in all living beings. In this way, she could take in the true vitality and love of our Heavenly Parent and True Father.

Attending her throughout this journey, even as a pretty fit younger person, I was challenged. As always, our True Mother led the way, even at such altitudes where the oxygen levels are quite low. She is paving a path for all of humanity, and showing us there are no limitations other than the limits we set for ourselves.

I could continue with many examples about True Mother’s recent tour in Europe, but it would take many hours. And, in any case, my task this morning is to try to convey the real essence of True Mother. This is a daunting task.

How does one even begin? Never in the history of humankind has there ever been a more beautiful, loving, gracious, and compassionate being on earth. True Father has said on many occasions how True Mother’s eternal beauty resides in her loving, faithful and generous heart. He also proudly and lovingly praised her often for her grace, her kindness, and her stunning feminine beauty that has brought so much joy to us all.

When I reflect on women throughout history, there is no one who compares with True Mother when it comes to internal and external character. She is without peer. Some may point to Helen of Troy whose mythic beauty caused men to lust and fight. However, if that is the standard for beauty, then it is a sad role model.

True Mother is far removed from such a worldly standard. She sets a standard for true and eternal beauty, as the embodiment of true love. Such true love has the capacity to melt the hearts of humankind, inspiring us to love one another and build a world of peace, joy and prosperity for all of God’s children.

Apart from her physical beauty and elegance, True Mother’s internal value and significance are infinitely great. Thus, we stand here today in the presence of the greatest woman in the history of all humankind. We stand here together attending the absolute example of a true person, who has completed everything. She, in complete unity with our True Father, has given us all true love, true life and true lineage. She absolutely attended True Father for more than 52 years with absolute love, absolute faith and absolute obedience. She is the only woman to ever completely fulfill the course of restoration for all womankind. She is absolutely and completely victorious. Together with our beloved True Father, she has liberated all of humankind to receive the Holy Blessing. They have lit the path for all to achieve salvation and peace.

We stand today in the presence of our Heavenly Parent’s true daughter, a gift of grace, true love, and goodness. She is the absolute standard of a true filial daughter of our Heavenly Parent.

As you know, True Mother is my physical mother, and of course she is the physical mother of my 13 siblings. However, even more importantly, she is our True Mother and, in this respect, she is our source of salvation, our guiding light, our guru, and our queen leading us out of darkness, suffering and indemnity, to a world of everlasting peace, true love, and prosperity for all.

May we emulate, honor, and uphold True Parents’ beautiful legacy as true filial sons and daughters of our True Parents.

True Mother taught me two Korean expressions that can lead us to true peace and joy. These are “Kamsahamnida” and “Saranghamnida.” They mean “thank you” and “I love you.” She said if there is anything we should teach future generations, it is to live our lives with this kind of grateful and loving heart. I am eternally grateful to True Mother, and all of you here today celebrating this historic moment.

Before I say more about True Mother I want to express my deep appreciation to each and every one of you. You, especially the elder members, have lived lives of faithful attendance to True Parents. You have followed in their footsteps and helped pave the way for us to stand today on this victorious foundation in the United States and the world. Even though you often faced prejudice, persecution and opposition you have been victorious with absolute faith, love and obedience. I am eternally grateful and honored to be here together with you and to be part of this tour with True Mother. I pray that our Heavenly Parent and our True Father may eternally bless you and your precious families.

Kamsahamnida and Saranghamnida!

True Mother

I stand before you today with a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation for our True Mother. Only when we understand our true origin, the beginning of all true life, can we inherit and carry out our duty as filial sons and daughters in honor of our True Parents. Therefore, we must know our true history of true love, true life and true lineage. We must become absolutely one with True Parents and with their sacred words, so that we never lose our way. True Mother distilled volumes of texts to bring us a clearer more purified word, in the three holy texts. In Cham Bumo Gyeong we can gain so much deep insight about our True Parents and, on that basis, we can sincerely emulate their glorious lives. I just want to share some of that amazing history with you.

Our True Mother has lived her life with a clear vertical attendance to our Heavenly Parent throughout her life.

Her responsiveness to Heavenly Parent’s providential Will has been the constant thread that runs throughout her life. Prior to meeting our True Father, True Mother was nurtured and protected by Heaven. Her mother, Dae Mo Nim raised True Mother as the only begotten daughter of God, not simply as her physical daughter. Dae Mo Nim had received guidance from Heaven, telling her that True Mother was to be the bride of the messiah.

Heaven protected our True Mother during the perilous time of Japanese occupation and the rise of North Korean communism, culminating in the Korean War. So many times she could have been killed or prevented from going forward, but she remained under Heaven’s protection.

Then, miracle of miracles, she met True Father. Think about it. True Mother was just a young girl of 16. How could she possibly have had the external wisdom and maturity to enter into this relationship at such a young age? Knowing True Father’s position, we cannot begin to imagine that his Blessing with True Mother was some accident; rather, she is our miracle. It was heavenly destiny, and vertical duty that guided True Mother.

From 1960, True Mother lived day and night with True Father, for over 52 years. Can you imagine living one day with True Father? I heard from many leaders who told me that when Father visited their nation, they could never rest for a moment, and when he departed, they would collapse with exhaustion.

Just imagine True Mother’s situation, in attending True Father without any break over 52 years. When I asked True Mother how she survived and gracefully endured her history of indemnity, she said in her heart and in her soul she always knew her mission; it wasn’t taught to her by any elder. She knew her inner voice. It was Heavenly Parent’s voice and she completely followed it no matter what.

While writing this speech I came to understand more deeply that I am in the presence of a woman who has divinely mastered her mind-body relationship, and fully developed her conscience. She bases every decision on her true love for our Heavenly Parent, her true love for True Father, and her true love for all humanity. I am always in awe of our True Mother and we are so blessed to have her here on earth!

She is still young and strong. Her health is improving day by day as she keeps a strict schedule of exercise. Her mantra of living for the sake of others, LFSO, includes the goal-set to live Longer, Faster, Stronger, and Onward! Even though I am decades younger than True Mother, I find it hard to keep up with her. She has a divine constitution and is the source of inspiration for us all!

I completely respect our True Mother. She has the full authority of True Parents, the complete harmony and authority with our True Father. They are completely one, and indivisible.

Neither Heavenly Parent nor True Father could fulfill the providence of True Parents without True Mother fulfilling her own portion of responsibility. As True Father completed everything, so has True Mother. That is why we can stand here blessed and graced by Heavenly Parent.

It is due to her amazing life and sacrifice that any of us, the True Children, or blessed family members could be born. But as her physical and spiritual children we must study with even more sincerity about our true origin, and unite completely with our True Parents. Only in this way can we fulfill our mission as their true filial sons and daughters.

I will do my very best to attend and serve our True Mother and True Father as one completed couple. I hope that we can all join together as one family, and grow to honor our True Parents. I believe this is the very best way we can honor True Father’s legacy, and the legacy you are building in your own lives.

Each one of us is here today because of True Parents; they are our absolute origin. Our marriages, our families, our understanding of God’s providence, and even our achievements in life are all indebted to the life, love and sacrifice of True Parents.

True Mother has come to America to express her deep love and appreciation to each and every one of you, and to guide us in the way we must go to fulfill our portion of responsibility and achieve all that Heavenly Parent and True Parents have hoped for, a nation of cosmic peace and unity, Cheon Il Guk. We are blessed to be in her presence and have this precious opportunity to receive her message today.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, it is my great honor to invite you all to rise at this time and give a warm, loving and powerful American welcome to our True Mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon!!!!
