You Must Make Korea Whole Again

Now is the season when green leaves emerge. I sincerely pray that the dreams that you blessed families all have can come true in the way that vegetation grows. The three years since True Father’s ascension can be seen as a tremendously long time or as a short period depending on how you look at it. Providential history has brought about miracle-like results that have enabled us to surpass fifty years of mission history.

Within one world, there must also be one language centered on parents. What language do True Parents use? You must study.

I was able to meet members in Europe up close during the events commemorating fifty years of mission work there. The East European bloc was communist and under the rule of the Soviet Union during the cold war, making it quite difficult to enter in order to begin mission work. Fortunately, going through Austria was a way into the communist bloc. Many European members, particularly those from Germany and Austria, worked on the front line of the mission field then. I was able to meet members that survived Mission Butterfly, an undertaking that only missionaries knew of. I became keenly aware of how difficult, dumbfounding and bitter God’s providential history of re-creation was as I thought of that providential history.

For an olive tree’s roots to grow takes fifteen years. However, once an olive tree has rooted itself and adjusted to the environment, its lifespan can surpass two thousand years.

Today, we can still find trees that existed in Jesus’ time. In the same way, European members, centered on Austria, faced all sorts of difficulties for the past fifty years and yet we see that they have grown roots, confidently and deeply. A tree that has roots that take fifty years to grow is more likely to survive any kind of natural disaster than a tree that has roots that take fifteen years to grow. Listening to the testimonies of older members, meeting them and the second- and third-generation members that are their “fruit,” I felt that hope exists in Europe at this point as it says farewell to the past fifty years and sets off on a new fifty years. For this reason, I emphasized the need to change our lives for the future, so that today and tomorrow are different from yesterday.

This year marks seventy years since Korea’s liberation, seventy years since the United Nations’ establishment and sixty years since Austria’s independence, as a neutral state. From the view of principled and providential numbers, all these numbers correspond well with one another and with the speaking tour schedule.

Use your fortune for others

While thinking of the United States, I contemplated what I should convey to members during my visit. Europe and the United States are in a restored Cain–Abel relationship. What did Jacob do when he returned to his hometown after going through his twenty-one-year course? He offered his entire fortune to his older brother.

America now needs to grow a bit bigger.

The work of Heaven’s providence brought the United States into existence to help humanity welcome the returning Lord.

Heaven went through a painful four thousand years to send the Messiah through the people of Israel in order to save fallen humanity. Yet, what was the result? He died on the cross. They could not fulfill their responsibilities.

What kind of indemnity did the people that had failed to fulfill their responsibilities pay? You know well what the indemnity was.

The two thousand year-history of Christianity was a history that lost its center. This is why Christian history and culture went through a raggedy course. For this reason, Puritans immigrated to the Americas in the seventeenth century, in search of freedom of religion, the freedom to attend God freely without being tied to any system.

Through the Puritans, the United States received blessings. You did not receive the blessing so that you would live well as individuals.

You did so to welcome the True Parents, who are God’s hope and humanity’s hope. This was God’s dream and the dream that fallen humanity has cherished. However, the way has not been smooth. God conducted providential history by working through the central figures he set up.

What happened when someone failed to fulfill his responsibilities because of a small mistake? In terms of the development of providential history, those that did not fulfill their responsibilities could not enter the providence again. Consequentially, what has happened to the United States, which True Parents forgave and bestowed blessings on? Did the United States attend True Parents? It incarcerated True Parents instead. Is a child that sends his parents to prison a devoted child or not?

Make Korea whole again

The lives of blessed members today, specifically the older blessed members, have passed a half century. This implies that the remainder of your lives on earth has naturally shortened.

Our blessed members must be able to fulfill their responsibilities not only on the family level, but also on the tribal level, ethnic group level and national level. Heaven established the United States as a nation similar in power to the Roman Empire of two thousand years ago, for God’s sake and for True Parents’ sake. Yet, what has happened?

It is falling behind everywhere. Long ago, they said that all roads led to Rome and that the sun never set on the British Empire. The roads leading to the United States are nondiscriminatory. Blessed families!

You should not let go of True Parents. Do you understand?

Hence, for the United States to become a nation that has fulfilled its responsibilities in the world, it must establish Korea throughout the peninsula.

The United States carries the responsibility of leading the establishment of Korea, God’s homeland, as a whole nation. A center is essential in realizing one world, a world that God and all of humankind have hoped for. America’s responsibility is to attend True Parents at the center, and make effort while working toward unity.

I spoke with great confidence when I was in Europe and at the United Nations this time. The United Nations has worked hard to realize global peace and did many other things over the past seventy years; yet, the result is that they have pushed to the edge of a cliff. In my message to the United Nations, I said that it should become an organization that reveals the truth, that we should attend God, our true owner and that this endeavor should begin from the United Nations. Only by doing that can humanity, which is like a tangled skein, have a center and follow the direction of that center, completely unravelling in the process.

Hence, we can become one world. To fulfill your responsibilities in relation to this as blessed members, can you allow a person in your neighborhood, nation or world not know about True Parents? No? You must let others know about True Parents.

Those in the Christian cultural realm have waited for the returning Messiah for two thousand years. They have a great culture but one that has no substance. Theirs is a culture that is like an empty shell. Therefore, to realize world peace and one family centered on God while living in the same age as True Parents, you need to do your best, fulfill your responsibilities as tribal messiahs.

The one-thousand-day anniversary of True Father’s ascension is approaching. Won’t you go to the spiritual world someday? Your lives in the spiritual world will depend on how you acted, how you lived and whether you practiced true love -- lived for others -- on earth. This means that nothing is greater than letting others know of True Parents. Seven billion people are orphans. What is wrong with letting orphans know who their parents are? This gives them hope. Therefore, your positions in the eternal world will be decided by your actions -- whether you fulfilled your responsibilities and how widely you expanded hope in others.

To think that you want to have comfortable physical lives, a span that is quite short and not longer than a hundred years, just because you are suffering fatigue is not correct.

You should become one with Europe. The same applies between North America and South America. We need to liberate those in the Christian cultural realm as quickly as possible. Think of how unfortunate they are. For two thousand years, though Christians went through many hardships in their own way, they only became empty kernels of grain.

You must let others know the truth. You must guide them to realize that only this truth -- the True Parents truth -- is their hope and the way for them to attain a glorious and blessed position in the future. To realize global peace and one family centered on God, while living in the same age as True Parents, you need to do your best. You can do this by fulfilling your responsibilities. You need to fulfill your tribal messiah responsibilities.

With serious resolve, the United States should now make a new start for the sake of the next fifty years. Those who agree, please show your consent to live in a way in which you leap forward in life with each day being different from the one before.

My dear, beloved blessed families and families from all over the world watching the live Internet coverage: Right now is a very green season. All of you blessed families, I really hope all your dreams will come true. That is my prayer. You’ve just watched a video with several of my speeches, several of my tours. Was it boring for you?

If we look at the past three years since True Father’s ascension, if we say it was long, we think of it as long; if we say it was short, we think of it as short. However, when considering the providence of restoration, in these past three years we’ve witnessed more miracles and results than in the previous 50 years. Do you agree with me?

One world must be realized centering on True Parents. That is why we need one common language. We are attending True Parents. What language are the True Parents using? So, please, I hope you can study Korean.

When I was congratulating the European community on the 50-year anniversary of the Unification movement in Europe, I was able to meet with the European family members very closely. In particular, it was not easy to be missionaries and particularly to sacrifice themselves in the countries of the communist bloc during the Cold War.

Fortunately it was possible through Austria. In particular, Unificationists from Austria and Germany stood at the forefront doing missionary work, sacrificing themselves. Just prior to my speech Sun Jin Moon mentioned this. I met the people who survived the “Butterfly Mission,” which was known only among the missionaries.

It was kept secret because of how sensitive it was. I met the Unificationists who survived these operations.

Growing Deep Roots

When I look at the providence of restoration, I feel deep within my bones the tremendous sorrow and difficulties in this providence of re-creation.

However, when we look at the olive tree, in order for the tree to grow strong roots, it has to grow for 15 years. However, after growing roots for 15 years, it is able to adapt to the barren environment that is the desert. Some olive trees have survived for over 2,000 years.

There are certain trees that survived from the time of Jesus. When I looked at these trees, I reflected on all the European family members, especially the missionaries from Austria, who for the past 50 years really invested themselves, and I thought how many difficulties they overcame. Nonetheless, they were very strong, they were very courageous and they grew very deep roots.

I realized that for the olive tree it takes 15 years to grow roots. However, if we have a tree that takes 50 years to grow roots, no matter what natural disaster happens, whatever earthquake happens, that tree will remain alive or survive whatever calamity may happen.

When I looked at the testimonies of Unificationists over the course of 50 years, and when I looked at their faces, when I looked at how much they achieved, and when I looked at the second and third generation Unificationists to whom they gave birth, and Europe is filled with hope to start a new 50 years, I emphasized to them that today must be different from yesterday, that our lives in the past should not be the same as our lives today or tomorrow. This is the point I emphasized.

In particular, the numbers are quite providential. It is 70 years since the independence of Korea, and it is 70 years since the founding of the United Nations. Also, when we look at Austria, after its independence 60 years ago, it proclaimed itself as a permanent neutral nation. All of the circumstances following its independence came in line with all the other numbers that commemorated this tour of Europe.

What Do We Do With Our Blessings?

When I reflected on it, I thought, “This time when I visit America and look at the American family members, what message can I convey to them?” I reflected deeply on this. Europe and America are the restored Cain and Abel. When Jacob was fulfilling his condition of 21 years of work and when he was returning to his hometown, what did he do? He took all of his assets, he took all of his wealth and he gladly offered them to his brother.

If America at this present moment were able to develop more, it would be wonderful. When we look at the history of the founding of the United States, we can realize it was God’s providence of preparing to welcome the Messiah. Do you agree with me?

When we look at Heaven’s work to restore humanity, to save humanity, think of all the difficulties it had to go through for 4,000 years to send a Messiah through the Israelites, but what happened to him? He was crucified on the cross, and the reason for the crucifixion is because the people at the time were not able to welcome him. What kind of indemnity was waiting for them when they could not fulfill their responsibility? I’m sure you understand it well.

They lost the center for 2,000 years of Christianity. Therefore, the history of Christianity hasn’t been a smooth one. In the 17th century, instead of following rituals and in order to find religious freedom, in order to freely worship God, the Puritans left England and came to America. They brought the blessing to America. Do you agree with me?

Accordingly, when a nation receives Heaven’s blessing, Heaven does not bless a nation or a particular individual for the sake of that particular individual alone. God’s Will, God’s wish and the Will of Heaven and all humanity is to welcome True Parents. That is the dream God had at the time of creation, and that is also the hope and desire of fallen humanity. Fallen humanity has kept this dream for all of history. However, the history of providence of restoration has been difficult.

Let Us Work to Fulfill Our Responsibility Together

God has raised central figures and has worked through them in the providence. However, when we look at history, we see that when the central figures made even one small mistake, what happened to them? God never used the person who failed his responsibility again in the history of the providence.

When we look at the United States, it is a nation that was blessed by the True Parents, forgiven by True Parents. Accordingly, what should this nation do? Has it attended the True Parents? The True Parents went to prison in the United States, and, when we think of it, can the children send the parent to prison? Is that a good thing to do?

Blessed families of today, in particular elder blessed families: When you look at your lives, I’m sure that you have passed the half-century mark. What does this mean? It means that when you look at the rest of the time you will live on this earth, you do not have so much time left. Isn’t that so? As blessed families, each one of us and our tribes and our nation, we need to work to fulfill our responsibility together. In particular, this land of the United States was blessed by God was blessed by True Parents to have the same strength -- and even exceed the strength -- of the Roman Empire of 2,000 years ago.

However, what has happened? The United States is being pushed from all corners. In the past there was a saying that “All roads lead to Rome.” In regard to the British Empire, it was said, “The sun never sets on the British Empire.” What about the United States? The United States has no one that wants to stand on its side. You have got to know this.

We Need True Parents As Our Center

My dear beloved blessed families -- You should not let go of True Parents. They are your hope.

Accordingly, henceforth the United States needs to fulfill its responsibility. In order to do so, Korea and the Korean Peninsula needs become the top issue for the United States. Do you know what I mean? The homeland of God, Korea, needs to become one nation. And I hope the United States will stand on the forefront of this great task.

To fulfill God’s wish and humanity’s wish of realizing one world, one unified world, we need a center. At the center we need to attend the True Parents and we need to move forward as one. That is the great responsibility with which America has been entrusted.

When I was visiting Europe, I went to the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and I spoke confidently. The United Nations has a history of 70 years. For the past 70 years it has worked for world peace and it has endeavored to improve the world. However, the United Nations is also facing uncertainties about its mission. That is why I spoke with confidence. I said the United Nations needs to reveal the identity of God.

That is the only way that this entire world, which is filled with misery and desolation, can stand at the center and can move in accordance with God’s providence. That is how all the problems that have been entangled can be loosened. In order to become blessed families who fulfill your responsibility, is it okay if there are people in this world who do not know about True Parents? No. Please testify about True Parents to the people around you.

Our Internal Essence

When we look at the 2,000 years of Christianity, we see that they waited for the returning Messiah and that the culture they developed was incredible. However, there is no essence. It is more external, it is not internal.

Accordingly, all of us are living together with True Parents at the same time and we’re working for the sake of world peace, trying to realize one family under God. In order to devote ourselves to this task, we need to work harder. The method to do so is for us to fulfill our responsibility. What responsibility is that? It is to testify to True Parents through our tribes and bring them to the Holy Marriage Blessing.

Today we are celebrating the 1,000 days since True Father’s ascension. Isn’t it the truth that all of you will go to the spirit world at some point? And when you go to the spirit world, the type of life you lead in the spirit world will depend on your earthly life, your actions, how much you devoted yourself to living for the sake of others and practicing true love every day. In other words, this means that the more you testify about True Parents, the greater your achievements will be.

The 7 billion people around the world are looking for parents. Accordingly, what greater task is there than testifying about the True Parents to orphans around the world? We need to be filled with hope and confidence that the actions of every one of us and the way we realize our responsibility will be the catalyst for greater hope in this world. Accordingly, the position you hold in the spirit world depends on how much you have fulfilled your responsibility.

Our Task is to Share the Truth

At this present moment, even though you may be physically uncomfortable, although our earthly life may be 100 years, it’s a very short period compared to eternity and the spirit world.

Therefore, all of you, please unite with the European family members. It is same for North and South America. When we look at the European sphere, we feel the need to testify about True Parents to them. Aren’t they miserable? For 2,000 years they devoted themselves, sacrificed themselves, to wait for the coming Messiah; however, eventually what is left is something external. Therefore our task is to share the truth. It is only through the True Parents that Christianity can find hope for the future. That is how they can be blessed to be standing in a position of glory. I hope you can work with me to realize this task.

Therefore the United States is beginning a new 50 years with a serious determination. We’re going to live a different life from yesterday, we are going to move forward; we are going to make progress forward. If you make this promise, please clap with me. Please let’s applaud all together!

Dear respected elders. Beloved brothers and sisters. We gather today absolutely centered on our Heavenly Parent and our Beloved True Parents.

Thank you very much for joining this special program here at the Manhattan Center in New York City. I am deeply moved and honored to be here with you today.

We all know how much True Parents invested their unconditional love, sincere devotion, absolute faith, and entire beings into this nation. Today we honor their eternal legacy, and your blessed legacy centered on True Parents.

This program today also commemorates 1000 days since our True Father’s ascension. Therefore, we gather at this time in honor of our beloved True Father, filled with a heart of deepest respect, appreciation and love.

Since True Father’s ascension, nearly three years ago, we have been on a dramatic journey, with many changes, internal and externally, both in our movement and in the world. It is as if the whole world was shaken by True Father’s passing. I know that each and every one of you has gone through some pain and suffering, perhaps even doubt, during this time.

Therefore, let us continually give our prayers, love, compassion, and support to all the members of our global family who have been affected by this great loss. And, let us live our lives centered on the truth, and make sincere effort to serve and love the whole human family. These are trying times. But, although it may be an uphill climb, let us all work together to help one another not only persevere, but emerge victorious.

Sometimes the challenges of life can seem almost too much to bear. However, if at such times we reflect on the power of love, faith, benevolence, and goodness, we open up to the light. We begin to appreciate heroes among us who, by their example and their vision and their words, show us the way out of the darkness and lead us to the light; they give us hope.

There has been a person in my life who has always inspired me, even in darkest times. Someone who has an unwavering will, a global consciousness, fearless determination, absolute love, and selfless devotion for the sake of humankind. I think you can guess who I am talking about.

Our True Mother, of course.

There is no other person on earth who can match our True Father’s example other than our True Mother. Despite losing her husband of 52 years, the father to their 14 children; despite being now in this physical world without her cosmic partner, the half that makes her whole; and despite losing her one and only true love, True Mother never stops to focus on, or complain about, her own difficulties. On the contrary, she always looks to ease the pain of others, giving out love and hope, and educating us all to embrace the victorious future of “Vision 2020”, Cheon Il Guk, and one family under our Heavenly Parent.

Thank you True Mother!

As you know, True Mother has been in Europe, honoring 50 years of the Unification Movement. You have seen the reports, but let me say that the outpouring of love and support from European brothers and sisters and next generations toward True Mother was profoundly moving.

In Vienna, nearly 3000 members gathered to welcome True Mother, both our most senior European members and the 2nd and 3rd generation members. True Mother shared her heart of true love toward all European Blessed Central families, and she gave special recognition to those who had sacrificed as missionaries in communist countries, the members of the “butterfly” mission.

True Mother met with about 400 2nd generation European members for a meeting of the “Crane’s Club.” The meeting was filled joy, with singing, sharing, and tears of genuine care and healing. True Mother also spoke at the UN Headquarters in Vienna, and called for a global spiritual awakening, stating that only if the United Nations and all people connect to God, our Heavenly Parent, can we solve global problems. I hope you can study her speech as it clearly illustrates why we have never been able to realize a peaceful world. The history of war, separation, suffering, and darkness is impossible to escape without True Parents and Heavenly Parent. Only True Parents’ heart and example can open the way for all 7 billion of our Heavenly Parent’s sons and daughters throughout this world to come together as one united, global family.

True Mother also spent time in Europe making spiritual conditions, hiking up steep mountain paths, and communing with the natural universe and connecting with the eternal energy that exists in all living beings. In this way, she could take in the true vitality and love of our Heavenly Parent and True Father.

Attending her throughout this journey, even as a pretty fit younger person, I was challenged. As always, our True Mother led the way, even at such altitudes where the oxygen levels are quite low. She is paving a path for all of humanity, and showing us there are no limitations other than the limits we set for ourselves.

I could continue with many examples about True Mother’s recent tour in Europe, but it would take many hours. And, in any case, my task this morning is to try to convey the real essence of True Mother. This is a daunting task.

How does one even begin? Never in the history of humankind has there ever been a more beautiful, loving, gracious, and compassionate being on earth. True Father has said on many occasions how True Mother’s eternal beauty resides in her loving, faithful and generous heart. He also proudly and lovingly praised her often for her grace, her kindness, and her stunning feminine beauty that has brought so much joy to us all.

When I reflect on women throughout history, there is no one who compares with True Mother when it comes to internal and external character. She is without peer. Some may point to Helen of Troy whose mythic beauty caused men to lust and fight. However, if that is the standard for beauty, then it is a sad role model.

True Mother is far removed from such a worldly standard. She sets a standard for true and eternal beauty, as the embodiment of true love. Such true love has the capacity to melt the hearts of humankind, inspiring us to love one another and build a world of peace, joy and prosperity for all of God’s children.

Apart from her physical beauty and elegance, True Mother’s internal value and significance are infinitely great. Thus, we stand here today in the presence of the greatest woman in the history of all humankind. We stand here together attending the absolute example of a true person, who has completed everything. She, in complete unity with our True Father, has given us all true love, true life and true lineage. She absolutely attended True Father for more than 52 years with absolute love, absolute faith and absolute obedience. She is the only woman to ever completely fulfill the course of restoration for all womankind. She is absolutely and completely victorious. Together with our beloved True Father, she has liberated all of humankind to receive the Holy Blessing. They have lit the path for all to achieve salvation and peace.

We stand today in the presence of our Heavenly Parent’s true daughter, a gift of grace, true love, and goodness. She is the absolute standard of a true filial daughter of our Heavenly Parent.

As you know, True Mother is my physical mother, and of course she is the physical mother of my 13 siblings. However, even more importantly, she is our True Mother and, in this respect, she is our source of salvation, our guiding light, our guru, and our queen leading us out of darkness, suffering and indemnity, to a world of everlasting peace, true love, and prosperity for all.

May we emulate, honor, and uphold True Parents’ beautiful legacy as true filial sons and daughters of our True Parents.

True Mother taught me two Korean expressions that can lead us to true peace and joy. These are “Kamsahamnida” and “Saranghamnida.” They mean “thank you” and “I love you.” She said if there is anything we should teach future generations, it is to live our lives with this kind of grateful and loving heart. I love you, and I am eternally grateful to True Mother, and all of you here today celebrating this historic moment.

Before I say more about True Mother I want to express my deep appreciation to each and every one of you. You, especially the elder members, have lived lives of faithful attendance to True Parents. You have followed in their footsteps and helped pave the way for us to stand today on this victorious foundation in the United States and the world. Even though you often faced prejudice, persecution and opposition you have been victorious with absolute faith, love and obedience. I am eternally grateful and honored to be here together with you and to be part of this tour with True Mother. I pray that our Heavenly Parent and our True Father may eternally bless you and your precious families.

True Mother

I stand before you today with a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation for our True Mother. Only when we understand our true origin, the beginning of all true life, can we inherit and carry out our duty as filial sons and daughters in honor of our True Parents. Therefore, we must know our true history of true love, true life and true lineage. We must become absolutely one with True Parents and with their sacred words, so that we never lose our way. True Mother distilled volumes of texts to bring us a clearer more purified word, in the three holy texts. In Cham Bumo Gyeong we can gain so much deep insight about our True Parents and, on that basis, we can sincerely emulate their glorious lives. I just want to share some of that amazing history with you.

Our True Mother has lived her life with a clear vertical attendance to our Heavenly Parent throughout her life.

Her responsiveness to Heavenly Parent’s providential Will has been the constant thread that runs throughout her life. Prior to meeting our True Father, True Mother was nurtured and protected by Heaven. Her mother, Dae Mo Nim raised True Mother as the only begotten daughter of God, not simply as her physical daughter. Dae Mo Nim had received guidance from Heaven, telling her that True Mother was to be the bride of the messiah.

Heaven protected our True Mother during the perilous time of Japanese occupation and the rise of North Korean communism, culminating in the Korean War. So many times she could have been killed or prevented from going forward, but she remained under Heaven’s protection.

Then, miracle of miracles, she met True Father. Think about it. True Mother was just a young girl of 16. How could she possibly have had the external wisdom and maturity to enter into this relationship at such a young age? Knowing True Father’s position, we cannot begin to imagine that his Blessing with True Mother was some accident; rather, she is our miracle. It was heavenly destiny, and vertical duty that guided True Mother.

From 1960, True Mother lived day and night with True Father, for over 52 years. Can you imagine living one day with True Father? I heard from many leaders who told me that when Father visited their nation, they could never rest for a moment, and when he departed, they would collapse with exhaustion.

Just imagine True Mother’s situation, in attending True Father without any break over 52 years. When I asked True Mother how she survived and gracefully endured her history of indemnity, she said in her heart and in her soul she always knew her mission; it wasn’t taught to her by any elder. She knew her inner voice. It was Heavenly Parent’s voice and she completely followed it no matter what.

While writing this speech I came to understand more deeply that I am in the presence of a woman who has divinely mastered her mind-body relationship, and fully developed her conscience. She bases every decision on her true love for our Heavenly Parent, her true love for True Father, and her true love for all humanity. I am always in awe of our True Mother and we are so blessed to have her here on earth!

She is still young and strong. Her health is improving day by day as she keeps a strict schedule of exercise. Her mantra of living for the sake of others, LFSO, includes the goal-set to live Longer, Faster, Stronger, and Onward! Even though I am decades younger than True Mother, I find it hard to keep up with her. She has a divine constitution and is the source of inspiration for us all!

I completely respect and bow down before True Mother. She has the full authority of True Parents, the complete harmony and authority with our True Father. They are completely one, and indivisible.

Neither Heavenly Parent nor True Father could fulfill the providence of True Parents without True Mother fulfilling her own portion of responsibility. As True Father completed everything, so has True Mother. That is why we can stand here blessed and graced by Heavenly Parent.

It is due to her amazing life and sacrifice that any of us, the True Children, or blessed family members could be born. But as her physical and spiritual children we must study with even more sincerity about our true origin, and unite completely with our True Parents. Only in this way can we fulfill our mission as their true filial sons and daughters.

I will do my very best to attend and serve our True Mother and True Father as one completed couple. I hope that we can all join together as one family, and grow to honor our True Parents. I believe this is the very best way we can honor True Father’s legacy, and the legacy you are building in your own lives.

Each one of us is here today because of True Parents; they are our absolute origin. Our marriages, our families, our understanding of God’s providence, and even our achievements in life are all indebted to the life, love and sacrifice of True Parents.

True Mother has come to America to express her deep love and appreciation to each and every one of you, and to guide us in the way we must go to fulfill our portion of responsibility and achieve all that Heavenly Parent and True Parents have hoped for, a nation of cosmic peace and unity, Cheon Il Guk. We are blessed to be in her presence and have this precious opportunity to receive her message today.

Now that I look at all of your faces, I am so happy to see you today. Have you been well? Have you been healthy?... Seventy years have already passed since the liberation of Korea– the nation that is truly central to God’s providence–at the end of the Second World War. Furthermore, this is the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. In addition, people all over the world are celebrating the seventieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

However, what has changed?

Particularly, this time in Europe when I met elder members, truly I was very grateful but also very inspired.

On several occasions, I felt that they are very precious, because for a half-century they have lived their lives for True Parents. I felt that.

We are different, aren’t we? Regarding Heaven’s providence, we are at the center of it. Please think about that. According to the Bible, humanity is six thousand years old. In the process of history, so many things have gone wrong. Truly, things went out of orbit because of the fall of human beings. Humanity is fallen, and in order to save humanity the providence of restoration has taken six thousand biblical years. God is almighty and all-powerful, isn’t he?

God had a dream and an ideal when he created human beings. In light of that, why is it that his first children, Adam and Eve, in whom he had invested everything in creating them -- our earliest human ancestors -- did not follow God’s commandment and live according to it? It’s an issue of responsibility.

In one instance, in one moment, a history of tremendous sorrow, tremendous suffering, tremendous pain began, because of one fallen act.

Our steadfast God

Heaven remained constant and always strove to educate and save humanity. That is why Jesus came as the only son of God, though it took four thousand biblical years for him to come. God had prepared the ideology of the chosen people. God had raised the chosen people. It required four thousand biblical years, but God kept his promise: he sent his begotten son, the Messiah, to earth. Nevertheless, what happened to the Messiah on earth? The chosen people did not accept the Messiah and they persecuted him. What was the outcome? Jesus was crucified. He died on the cross.

Even Mary did not fulfill her responsibility. Even the great priest, John the Baptist, the Archangel Lucifer, and Joseph, did not fulfill their responsibilities. Even the Jewish people did not fulfill their responsibilities.

Even though Jesus went to the cross, he promised he would come again. This was the beginning of Christianity’s two-thousand-year history.

Jesus was born in a manger and that is how (through the Holy Spirit) that history began. In the Bible, we do not have only what Jesus said; on the contrary, only a very few words from Jesus are in the Bible. When we look at the two-thousand-year history of Christianity, we see it went through many upheavals, ups and downs, and now Christianity is all over the world.

Even communism and democracy, are outcomes of the Christian cultural sphere. The reason for that is that it is time to welcome the Messiah on his second coming.

The Israelites two thousand years ago were meant to welcome the Messiah and to then create a nation. This was during the time of the Roman Empire, which was the Cain world. It was powerful. Rome was the center of the world at that time. I have seen the ruins in Rome; Roman ruins exist in the Alps. That is how powerful the Roman Empire was. By comparison, the nation of Israel was tiny. Their wish was to welcome the Messiah and then to use the foundation of the Roman Empire to realize one world centered on the Roman Empire.

Blaze a path for others

I can summarize my message today in one sentence: For two thousand years, Christianity has established a culture, but we need to build something even greater. We need to move forward, we need to be better. We need to be more constant but also to look more long term. When we look at even one architectural masterpiece built within the Christian cultural sphere, we must feel a jolt of urgency and ask ourselves how we are going to educate those in future generations, how we are going to testify about True Parents and how we are going to lead future generations to love True Parents. The world has yet to accept the True Parents, who have been trying to sow the seed of true love. They have practiced true love, they have tried very hard to embrace all of humanity and save all of humanity as their own children. The True Parents have given all of humanity the path to eternity. This is how the True Parents have opened the gate to eternal life: through the True Parents.

So how can all of the world’s people and those in future generations say, Thank you, True Parents? Those in future generations have reasons to lament having been born in the future, instead of as one of you, their ancestors, who lived in True Parents’ time. They may say, If I had lived together with True Parents, I would have done better than my ancestors did, I would have sacrificed myself more, I would have brought greater achievements to my True Parents.

Let us inspire the future generations….

Please awaken, everyone. Do you understand? From now on, you need to be different. I said the same thing in Europe. We have already passed fifty years. From tomorrow, you need to be different. No, you cannot do the same things; you cannot commit the same acts as you did yesterday. If only in one area, you need to lead your lives differently from today, if only in one thing.

Please lead lives in which you fulfill your responsibilities as blessed members.

Do you understand me? This time in Europe, even externally, I received a lot of support. Europe has fifty nations, and America has fifty states. Everyone, truly, if you genuinely put your hearts into it, you could restore half of all the fifty states in the United States. Yes, or no? Will you do that? [Yes!]

True Parents Have Given All of Humanity the Path to Eternity

The Truest Devotion is that of the Heart

The Israelites of 2,000 years ago were meant to welcome the Messiah and then create a nation. That was at the time of the Roman Empire. It was the Cain world. It was powerful. There is that saying that all roads lead to Rome. Rome was the center of the world at that time. I have seen the ruins in Rome; Rome’s ruins even exist in the Alps. That is how powerful the Roman Empire was. By comparison the nation of Israel was really tiny. Their wish was to welcome the Messiah, and then use the foundation of the Roman Empire to realize one world centered on the Roman Empire. I’m sure you’re well aware of this history.

However, what happened? The people who do not fulfill their responsibility become the people who are no longer at the center of God’s providence. You need to understand this point clearly. That is why for Christianity to become the center of God’s providence, it had to go through the Roman Empire. Isn’t that so? That is why, starting in Greece and Rome, Christianity went through the European continent, expanding all the way to England, an island nation, and then to the world. However, there were many problems. Why was that? Because they were unaware of God’s truth and His purpose. That is why they could only be confused, and why Christianity broke into many denominations. The Catholic Church made a lot of mistakes, and Protestantism arose, and there were even religious wars in Europe. The religion that believes in God must not fight. However, because of the differences of understanding the denominations were fighting each other.

That is why I was thinking these profound things while I was touring several nations in Europe. I thought how much the Christians tried to attend Heaven. Even though these were fallen people, they tried to follow Heaven; they led lives of faith, trying to hold onto Heaven. They built beautiful churches and cathedrals with beautiful architectural detail. They really invested themselves in building churches. I don’t know if you’ve ever visited the Vatican, but if you go to the Vatican, it is grandiose. I also visited the second most beautiful cathedral, the Milan Cathedral. And lastly, you know Notre Dame, don’t you? I also visited the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. It is more than 850 years old.

In order to build these holy churches, it took 300 or 400 years of people working continuously. However, what is left today is just an empty shell. The outer building is beautiful, but inside there is no content. What is the essence, or center, of faith? People are unaware of this. Even in Europe, where the Christian faith flourished for 2,000 years, and the Christian cultural sphere flourished. I witnessed this culture.

As I did that, I thought a lot about all of you. Today, even here in the United States, there are Unificationists who have worked for 40, 50 years. So what future are we working to create? The Christian cultural sphere no longer has an internal essence, but at least they have a culture they can show: certain external achievements. They looked only toward Heaven, and they built very high ceilings trying to reach Heaven. They had one heart and one will.

However, our Unification movement is different; isn’t that so? God’s wish, the wish of humanity, and also the wish of Christians—what is it? What is their common wish? It is to meet the True Parents. In order for True Parents to be born on this earth, it took 6,000 biblical years; what a long time. Before, I mentioned that it was the 70th anniversary of Korea’s independence, and also the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. At that time, Korea was really a miserable nation with nothing to be proud of; it was part of the empire of Japan. However, the providence of Heaven, especially the 2,000-year history of Christianity, is a preparation to welcome the only begotten daughter of God. Christians do not know how Heaven’s will works. When the Messiah comes again, what is his wish? It is to hold the holy marriage of the lamb. He comes as a man, and he wants to meet a woman. Jesus was born as the only begotten son of God, but he came to meet the only begotten daughter of God, and in order to do that he said he would come again. Do you understand? All of you as well, I hope that you can. I am sure you did not know all of this in depth. For 2,000 years the Christians offered devotions, and this is the outcome of their offerings: the True Parents, and the only begotten daughter of God. Do you know this or not? (Yes.)

Our Blessings Are for the World

The only begotten son of God and the only begotten daughter of God were born in Korea. That’s why Heaven chose Korea, and why Heaven had to protect Korea. At that time True Father received his mission from Heaven and went to North Korea and worked there as a missionary. Together with the liberation of Korea, Korea became divided because of the United States and Russia. You need to be aware of this. The United States did not fulfill its responsibility. True Parents needed to revive and save the United States, and that’s why the True Parents came here and for the past 40 years invested their blood, sweat and tears to save this nation. And in order to save humanity, in order to love humanity, the True Parents invested themselves. True Parents did not come here just for the sake of America’s prosperity. You need to be aware of this.

Creating the Way for Future Generations

In the past, the Roman Empire was at least able to expand the sphere of Christianity. But what did America do? After receiving the True Parents, what should America have done? America has not fulfilled its responsibility. However, all of you have received the Marriage Blessing; you are blessed families. You’ve received many blessings, and many children have been born. But this alone is not enough. We all have a responsibility. Even though Christianity doesn’t have the essence of faith, for the past 2,000 years it has expanded all over the world. However, all of you have the True Parents. You are blessed families with blessed children who received the Marriage Blessing from True Parents. You are not the same as the Christians of the past. All of you have a root. That is the difference.

Christianity has a 2,000-year history and it has a culture; however, all of you have the Unification movement, which exceeds Christianity. We need to create that. Isn’t that so? Are you just going to be people who wait for time to pass by? Or are you going to be united with True Parents, receive the Blessing from True Parents and, as blessed families, become the pure water the world needs and give birth to children who are the pure water? Are you just going to let all of this flow by? True Parents have given you everything. True Parents have opened Cheon Il Guk for you. That is why, in accordance with Cheon Il Guk, all of you must take action as well. Differently from the Christians, who for the past 2,000 years tried to attend God and build these great cathedrals as a sign of their faith. So in order to show your faith, what should you do? What do you need to do?

You need to create something that will remain forever in history, something that’s not been here before. So that your descendants of the future can walk in one direction, you need to open the gates to that path for them to walk. Do you understand what I’m trying to say? Do you understand me?

A Life for the Sake of the Future

When I was looking at all the nations of Europe, I cried profoundly in my heart; I cried so much. Today in the Unification movement—what kind of thoughts are our blessed families having? For the first time in the 6,000 years of biblical history, you have become blessed families, you have received the Marriage Blessing from True Parents. And do you blessed families understand your value, how precious blessed families are? Do you understand how precious each one of you is?

So please become people who can be proud, not ashamed, in front of European history and all of their achievements. How much are you thinking about this? Are you just thinking of your family being prosperous and comfortable, and, when the time comes, going to the spirit world and living a comfortable life? Are you going to live self-centered lives? Are you thinking only of your family and yourself? All of you, where are you standing? Are you standing on a life for yourself, or are you thinking of the future? Where do you stand, realistically speaking, at this present moment?

There are so many things that we need to educate the people of the world about. So all of you, how should I think of all of you? What should I tell you so that you can feel the way I feel? If the True Parents say one thing, I hope that you can become the children who can do 20 or 30 things according to one statement of True Parents. Because you’re here with me, then I think you’re desirous to help me, and I want to feel that; that’s why I’m making a lot of effort at this moment, do you understand? (Yes, Mother!) (Applause.)

True Parents’ Greatest Wish

All of you, no matter how healthily you live, you cannot live more than 100 years. However, think about my age: I am already over 70 years old. What I know, I would like to teach all of you so that you understand what I know, how I feel; that is my mission. Think about it, True Father must be very sad right now. I’m just acting and sharing according to my own heart at this moment here, with all of you, but True Mother has to take responsibility for the providence of restoration, and True Father really wanted me to complete the providence of restoration well. However, it’s so difficult to take responsibility for all of this. I think that True Father is really sad right now; that’s why I’m crying so much.

The Essence of Our Legacy

Should it be? True Father went to prison in America. True Father strove to save this nation, and in order to save humanity, True Parents came to this nation. However, how did this nation treat them? This nation did not fulfill its responsibility. However, through your paying indemnity, it can be restored. Otherwise your descendants will have more difficulties. You’re the parents of your descendants, and is there any parent who wants their descendants to suffer because they did not fulfill their responsibility? Do you understand me? Will you awaken from today?

There is one last thing I want you all to be aware of. Regarding True Parents’ children, please do not speak of this or that about the True Parents’ Family. Do you understand? The first generation of blessed families, I paid indemnity for you. That is why, to them, they also have a period of growth, they need a period of growth; be patient with them. However, all of you, you have a great brother, an elder brother Hyo Jin Moon and Heung Jin Moon; they are your two proud elder brothers, do you understand? So centering on the True Parents, and by uniting with your elder brothers, Hyo Jin Moon and Heung Jin Moon, then you can move forward, you will be prosperous for tens of thousands of years, do you understand?

For 2,000 years the Christians offered devotions, and this is the outcome of their offerings: the True Parents, and the only begotten daughter of God. Do you know this or not? (Yes.)

Our Blessings Are for the World

The only begotten son of God and the only begotten daughter of God were born in Korea. That’s why Heaven chose Korea, and why Heaven had to protect Korea. At that time True Father received his mission from Heaven and went to North Korea and worked there as a missionary. Together with the liberation of Korea, Korea became divided because of the United States and Russia. You need to be aware of this. The United States did not fulfill its responsibility. True Parents needed to revive and save the United States, and that’s why the True Parents came here and for the past 40 years invested their blood, sweat and tears to save this nation. And in order to save humanity, in order to love humanity, the True Parents invested themselves. True Parents did not come here just for the sake of America’s prosperity. You need to be aware of this.

Creating the Way for Future Generations

In the past, the Roman Empire was at least able to expand the sphere of Christianity. But what did America do? After receiving the True Parents, what should America have done? America has not fulfilled its responsibility. However, all of you have received the Marriage Blessing; you are blessed families. You’ve received many blessings, and many children have been born. But this alone is not enough. We all have a responsibility. Even though Christianity doesn’t have the essence of faith, for the past 2,000 years it has expanded all over the world. However, all of you have the True Parents. You are blessed families with blessed children who received the Marriage Blessing from True Parents. You are not the same as the Christians of the past. All of you have a root. That is the difference.

Christianity has a 2,000-year history and it has a culture; however, all of you have the Unification movement, which exceeds Christianity. We need to create that. Isn’t that so? Are you just going to be people who wait for time to pass by? Or are you going to be united with True Parents, receive the Blessing from True Parents and, as blessed families, become the pure water the world needs and give birth to children who are the pure water? Are you just going to let all of this flow by? True Parents have given you everything. True Parents have opened Cheon Il Guk for you. That is why, in accordance with Cheon Il Guk, all of you must take action as well. Differently from the Christians, who for the past 2,000 years tried to attend God and build these great cathedrals as a sign of their faith. So in order to show your faith, what should you do? What do you need to do?

You need to create something that will remain forever in history, something that’s not been here before. So that your descendants of the future can walk in one direction, you need to open the gates to that path for them to walk. Do you understand what I’m trying to say? Do you understand me?

A Life for the Sake of the Future

When I was looking at all the nations of Europe, I cried profoundly in my heart; I cried so much. Today in the Unification movement—what kind of thoughts are our blessed families having? For the first time in the 6,000 years of biblical history, you have become blessed families, you have received the Marriage Blessing from True Parents. And do you blessed families understand your value, how precious blessed families are? Do you understand how precious each one of you is?

So please become people who can be proud, not ashamed, in front of European history and all of their achievements. How much are you thinking about this? Are you just thinking of your family being prosperous and comfortable, and, when the time comes, going to the spirit world and living a comfortable life? Are you going to live self-centered lives? Are you thinking only of your family and yourself? All of you, where are you standing? Are you standing on a life for yourself, or are you thinking of the future? Where do you stand, realistically speaking, at this present moment?

There are so many things that we need to educate the people of the world about. So all of you, how should I think of all of you? What should I tell you so that you can feel the way I feel? If the True Parents say one thing, I hope that you can become the children who can do 20 or 30 things according to one statement of True Parents. Because you’re here with me, then I think you’re desirous to help me, and I want to feel that; that’s why I’m making a lot of effort at this moment, do you understand? (Yes, Mother!) (Applause.)

True Parents’ Greatest Wish

All of you, no matter how healthily you live, you cannot live more than 100 years. However, think about my age: I am already over 70 years old. What I know, I would like to teach all of you so that you understand what I know, how I feel; that is my mission. Think about it, True Father must be very sad right now. I’m just acting and sharing according to my own heart at this moment here, with all of you, but True Mother has to take responsibility for the providence of restoration, and True Father really wanted me to complete the providence of restoration well. However, it’s so difficult to take responsibility for all of this. I think that True Father is really sad right now; that’s why I’m crying so much.

The Essence of Our Legacy

I can summarize my message today in one sentence: For 2,000 years Christianity has established a culture; however, we need to build something even greater. We need to move forward, we need to be better; we need to be more constant, but also to be more long term. When we look at even one architectural masterpiece built within the Christian cultural sphere, we must feel a jolt of urgency and think, how are we going to educate the future generations, how are we going to testify about True Parents, how are we going to lead future generations to love True Parents? This world has yet to accept the True Parents, who have been trying to sow the seed of true love, they have practiced true love, they really have tried to embrace all of humanity and save all of humanity as their own children; the True Parents have given all of humanity the path to eternity. This is how the True Parents have opened the gate to eternal life: through the True Parents.

So how can all of the people of the world and future generations say “Thank you, True Parents”? By giving future generations a reason to lament being born in the future, instead of as one of you, their ancestors, who lived at the time of the True Parents. Make it so that they say, “If I had lived together with the True Parents, I would have done better than my ancestors did, I would have sacrificed myself more, I would have brought greater achievements to my True Parents.” Let us inspire the future generations. We need many of these future generations.

All of you please awaken; do you understand? From now on you need to be different. I said the same thing in Europe. We are already past 50 years, and from tomorrow you need to be different. Yes, you cannot do the same things; you cannot commit the same acts as yesterday. Even in one area, you need to lead your life differently from today. Even one thing. Please lead lives in which you fulfill your responsibilities as blessed families. Do you understand me? This time in Europe, even externally I received a lot of support. Europe has 50 nations, and America has 50 states. Truly all of you, if you really put your heart into it, could you restore half of all the 50 states of America, yes or no? Will you do that? (Yes!)

Now from now on, please do not become observers. All of you, please become responsible people, become the owners, have the mentality of the owner so that America, this America that has been blessed—should the Messiah be betrayed three times? Should it be? True Father went to prison in America. True Father strove to save this nation, and in order to save humanity, True Parents came to this nation. However, how did this nation treat them? This nation did not fulfill its responsibility. However, through your paying indemnity, it can be restored. Otherwise your descendants will have more difficulties. You’re the parents of your descendants, and is there any parent who wants their descendants to suffer because they did not fulfill their responsibility? Do you understand me? Will you awaken from today?

There is one last thing I want you all to be aware of. Regarding True Parents’ children, please do not speak of this or that about the True Parents’ Family. Do you understand? The first generation of blessed families, I paid indemnity for you. That is why, to them, they also have a period of growth, they need a period of growth; be patient with them. However, all of you, you have a great brother, an elder brother Hyo Jin Moon and Heung Jin Moon; they are your two proud elder brothers, do you understand? So centering on the True Parents, and by uniting with your elder brothers, Hyo Jin Moon and Heung Jin Moon, then you can move forward, you will be prosperous for tens of thousands of years, do you understand?

Now that I look at all of your faces, I’m so happy to see you today. Have you been well, have you been healthy? (Yes!) The 50th anniversary of the providence in Europe is, in relation to my life, about half a century. Furthermore, it’s already 70 years since the liberation of Korea, the nation that is truly central to the providence of God, with the end of the Second World War. Furthermore, it’s the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations. In addition, all over the world, the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War is being celebrated. However, what has changed?

Particularly this time in Europe when I met elder members, truly I was very grateful but also very inspired. On several occasions I felt they are very precious, because they have lived their lives for True Parents for a half-century. I felt that. We’re different, aren’t we?

6,000 Years of Preparation

Regarding the providence of heaven, we are at the center of the providence. Please think about it. In the Bible it is written that humanity is 6,000 years old. In the process of history so many things have gone wrong. Really, things went out of orbit because of the Fall of human beings. Humanity was fallen, and in order to save humanity the providence of restoration took 6,000 biblical years. God is almighty and all powerful. Isn’t He so? God had a dream and an ideal when He created human beings. Then why is it that His first children, Adam and Eve, in whom He invested everything to create the first human beings, the first human ancestors, did not follow God’s commands and live according to them? It’s an issue of responsibility. In one instance, in one moment, the history of tremendous sorrow, tremendous suffering, tremendous pain began, because of one fallen act.

Even in the midst of those difficulties, Heaven never changed, Heaven remained constant, and always strove and tried to educate and save humanity. That is why Jesus came as the only son of God, but it took 4,000 biblical years for him to come. God prepared the ideology of the chosen people, and God raised the chosen people. It took 4,000 biblical years, but God kept His promise: He sent His begotten son, the Messiah, to this earth. However, what happened to the Messiah on the earth? The chosen people did not accept the Messiah, and they persecuted him. What was the outcome? Jesus was crucified on the cross. Even Mary did not fulfill her responsibility. And even the great priest John the Baptist, the Archangel Lucifer, and Joseph, did not fulfill their responsibility. Even the Jewish people did not fulfill their responsibility. And the result is – you know very well what happened next.

Even though Jesus went to the cross, he promised he would come again. This was the beginning of the 2,000-year history of Christianity. Jesus was born in a manger, and that is how, through the Holy Spirit, the history began. In the Bible we do not have only the words of Jesus; on the contrary, Jesus’ words in the Bible are quite few. When we look at the 2,000-year history of Christianity, it went through many upheavals, ups and downs, and now Christianity today is all over the world; everyone, even communism and democracy, are outcomes of the Christian cultural sphere. And the reason for that is because it is the time to welcome the Second Coming of the Messiah.

The Truest Devotion is that of the Heart

The Israelites of 2,000 years ago were meant to welcome the Messiah and then create a nation. That was at the time of the Roman Empire. It was the Cain world. It was powerful. There is that saying that all roads lead to Rome. Rome was the center of the world at that time. I have seen the ruins in Rome; Rome’s ruins even exist in the Alps. That is how powerful the Roman Empire was. By comparison the nation of Israel was really tiny. Their wish was to welcome the Messiah, and then use the foundation of the Roman Empire to realize one world centered on the Roman Empire. I’m sure you’re well aware of this history.

However, what happened? The people who do not fulfill their responsibility become the people who are no longer at the center of God’s providence. You need to understand this point clearly. That is why for Christianity to become the center of God’s providence, it had to go through the Roman Empire. Isn’t that so? That is why, starting in Greece and Rome, Christianity went through the European continent, expanding all the way to England, an island nation, and then to the world.

However, there were many problems. Why was that? Because they were unaware of God’s truth and His purpose. That is why they could only be confused, and why Christianity broke into many denominations. The Catholic Church made a lot of mistakes, and Protestantism arose, and there were even religious wars in Europe. The religion that believes in God must not fight. However, because of the differences of understanding the denominations were fighting each other.

That is why I was thinking these profound things while I was touring several nations in Europe. I thought how much the Christians tried to attend Heaven. Even though these were fallen people, they tried to follow Heaven; they led lives of faith, trying to hold onto Heaven. They built beautiful churches and cathedrals with beautiful architectural detail. They really invested themselves in building churches. I don’t know if you’ve ever visited the Vatican, but if you go to the Vatican, it is grandiose. I also visited the second most beautiful cathedral, the Milan Cathedral. And lastly, you know Notre Dame, don’t you? I also visited the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. It is more than 850 years old.

In order to build these holy churches, it took 300 or 400 years of people working continuously. However, what is left today is just an empty shell. The outer building is beautiful, but inside there is no content. What is the essence, or center, of faith? People are unaware of this. Even in Europe, where the Christian faith flourished for 2,000 years, and the Christian cultural sphere flourished. I witnessed this culture.

As I did that, I thought a lot about all of you. Today, even here in the United States, there are Unificationists who have worked for 40, 50 years. So what future are we working to create? The Christian cultural sphere no longer has an internal essence, but at least they have a culture they can show: certain external achievements. They looked only toward Heaven, and they built very high ceilings trying to reach Heaven. They had one heart and one will.

However, our Unification movement is different; isn’t that so? God’s wish, the wish of humanity, and also the wish of Christians—what is it? What is their common wish? It is to meet the True Parents. In order for True Parents to be born on this earth, it took 6,000 biblical years; what a long time. Before, I mentioned that it was the 70th anniversary of Korea’s independence, and also the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. At that time, Korea was really a miserable nation with nothing to be proud of; it was part of the empire of Japan.

However, the providence of Heaven, especially the 2,000-year history of Christianity, is a preparation to welcome the only begotten daughter of God. Christians do not know how Heaven’s will works. They looked only toward Heaven, and they built very high ceilings trying to reach Heaven. They had one heart and one will.

However, our Unification movement is different; isn’t that so? God’s wish, the wish of humanity, and also the wish of Christians -- what is it? What is their common wish? It is to meet the True Parents. In order for True Parents to be born on this earth, it took 6,000 biblical years; what a long time. Before, I mentioned that it was the 70th anniversary of Korea’s independence, and also the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. At that time, Korea was really a miserable nation with nothing to be proud of; it was part of the empire of Japan. However, the providence of Heaven, especially the 2,000- year history of Christianity, is a preparation to welcome the only begotten daughter of God. Christians do not know how Heaven’s will works. When the Messiah comes again, what is his wish? It is to hold the holy marriage of the lamb. He comes as a man, and he wants to meet a woman. Jesus was born as the only begotten son of God, but he came to meet the only begotten daughter of God, and in order to do that he said he would come again. Do you understand? All of you as well, I hope that you can. I am sure you did not know all of this in depth. For 2,000 years the Christians offered devotions, and this is the outcome of their offerings: the True Parents, and the only begotten daughter of God. Do you know this or not? (Yes.)

Our Blessings Are for the World

The only begotten son of God and the only begotten daughter of God were born in Korea. That’s why Heaven chose Korea, and why Heaven had to protect Korea. At that time True Father received his mission from Heaven and went to North Korea and worked there as a missionary. Together with the liberation of Korea, Korea became divided because of the United States and Russia. You need to be aware of this. The United States did not fulfill its responsibility. True Parents needed to revive and save the United States, and that’s why the True Parents came here and for the past 40 years invested their blood, sweat and tears to save this nation. And in order to save humanity, in order to love humanity, the True Parents invested themselves. True Parents did not come here just for the sake of America’s prosperity. You need to be aware of this.

Creating the Way for Future Generations

In the past, the Roman Empire was at least able to expand the sphere of Christianity. But what did America do? After receiving the True Parents, what should America have done? America has not fulfilled its responsibility. However, all of you have received the Marriage Blessing; you are blessed families. You’ve received many blessings, and many children have been born. But this alone is not enough. We all have a responsibility. Even though Christianity doesn’t have the essence of faith, for the past 2,000 years it has expanded all over the world. However, all of you have the True Parents. You are blessed families with blessed children who received the Marriage Blessing from True Parents. You are not the same as the Christians of the past. All of you have a root. That is the difference.

Christianity has a 2,000-year history and it has a culture; however, all of you have the Unification movement, which exceeds Christianity. We need to create that. Isn’t that so? Are you just going to be people who wait for time to pass by? Or are you going to be united with True Parents, receive the Blessing from True Parents and, as blessed families, become the pure water the world needs and give birth to children who are the pure water? Are you just going to let all of this flow by? True Parents have given you everything. True Parents have opened Cheon Il Guk for you. That is why, in accordance with Cheon Il Guk, all of you must take action as well. Differently from the Christians, who for the past 2,000 years tried to attend God and build these great cathedrals as a sign of their faith. So in order to show your faith, what should you do? What do you need to do?

You need to create something that will remain forever in history, something that’s not been here before. So that your descendants of the future can walk in one direction, you need to open the gates to that path for them to walk. Do you understand what I’m trying to say? Do you understand me?

A Life for the Sake of the Future

When I was looking at all the nations of Europe, I cried profoundly in my heart; I cried so much. Today in the Unification movement -- what kind of thoughts are our blessed families having? For the first time in the 6,000 years of biblical history, you have become blessed families, you have received the Marriage Blessing from True Parents. And do you blessed families understand your value, how precious blessed families are? Do you understand how precious each one of you is?

So please become people who can be proud, not ashamed, in front of European history and all of their achievements. How much are you thinking about this? Are you just thinking of your family being prosperous and comfortable, and, when the time comes, going to the spirit world and living a comfortable life? Are you going to live self-centered lives? Are you thinking only of your family and yourself? All of you, where are you standing? Are you standing on a life for yourself, or are you thinking of the future? Where do you stand, realistically speaking, at this present moment?

There are so many things that we need to educate the people of the world about. So all of you, how should I think of all of you? What should I tell you so that you can feel the way I feel? If the True Parents say one thing, I hope that you can become the children who can do 20 or 30 things according to one statement of True Parents. Because you’re here with me, then I think you’re desirous to help me, and I want to feel that; that’s why I’m making a lot of effort at this moment, do you understand? (Yes, Mother!) (Applause.)

True Parents’ Greatest Wish

All of you, no matter how healthily you live, you cannot live more than 100 years. However, think about my age: I am already over 70 years old. What I know, I would like to teach all of you so that you understand what I know, how I feel; that is my mission. Think about it, True Father must be very sad right now. I’m just acting and sharing according to my own heart at this moment here, with all of you, but True Mother has to take responsibility for the providence of restoration, and True Father really wanted me to complete the providence of restoration well. However, it’s so difficult to take responsibility for all of this. I think that True Father is really sad right now; that’s why I’m crying so much.

The Essence of Our Legacy

I can summarize my message today in one sentence: For 2,000 years Christianity has established a culture; however, we need to build something even greater. We need to move forward, we need to be better; we need to be more constant, but also to be more long term. When we look at even one architectural masterpiece built within the Christian cultural sphere, we must feel a jolt of urgency and think, how are we going to educate the future generations, how are we going to testify about True Parents, how are we going to lead future generations to love True Parents? This world has yet to accept the True Parents, who have been trying to sow the seed of true love, they have practiced true love, they really have tried to embrace all of humanity and save all of humanity as their own children; the True Parents have given all of humanity the path to eternity. This is how the True Parents have opened the gate to eternal life: through the True Parents.

So how can all of the people of the world and future generations say “Thank you, True Parents”? By giving future generations a reason to lament being born in the future, instead of as one of you, their ancestors, who lived at the time of the True Parents. Make it so that they say, “If I had lived together with the True Parents, I would have done better than my ancestors did, I would have sacrificed myself more, I would have brought greater achievements to my True Parents.” Let us inspire the future generations. We need many of these future generations.

All of you please awaken; do you understand? From now on you need to be different. I said the same thing in Europe. We are already past 50 years, and from tomorrow you need to be different. Yes, you cannot do the same things; you cannot commit the same acts as yesterday. Even in one area, you need to lead your life differently from today. Even one thing. Please lead lives in which you fulfill your responsibilities as blessed families. Do you understand me? This time in Europe, even externally I received a lot of support. Europe has 50 nations, and America has 50 states. Truly all of you, if you really put your heart into it, could you restore half of all the 50 states of America, yes or no? Will you do that? (Yes!)

Now from now on, please do not become observers. All of you, please become responsible people, become the owners, have the mentality of the owner so that America, this America that has been blessed - - should the Messiah be betrayed three times? Should it be? True Father went to prison in America. True Father strove to save this nation, and in order to save humanity, True Parents came to this nation. However, how did this nation treat them? This nation did not fulfill its responsibility. However, through your paying indemnity, it can be restored. Otherwise your descendants will have more difficulties. You’re the parents of your descendants, and is there any parent who wants their descendants to suffer because they did not fulfill their responsibility? Do you understand me? Will you awaken from today?

There is one last thing I want you all to be aware of. Regarding True Parents’ children, please do not speak of this or that about the True Parents’ Family. Do you understand? The first generation of blessed families, I paid indemnity for you. That is why, to them, they also have a period of growth, they need a period of growth; be patient with them. However, all of you, you have a great brother, an elder brother Hyo Jin Moon and Heung Jin Moon; they are your two proud elder brothers, do you understand? So centering on the True Parents, and by uniting with your elder brothers, Hyo Jin Moon and Heung Jin Moon, then you can move forward, you will be prosperous for tens of thousands of years, do you understand?
