Hello Brothers and Sisters,

This is your weekly update for the first week of October.

In 1954 in Seoul, The Holy Spirit Association for The Unification of World Christianity was founded. At that time, students from Yunsa University and Ehwa University were inspired by True Father's Message of Truth and chose to take the Providential Path. In 1966, The True Parents established the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles; and, the passionate spirit of CARP was raised for half a century. Last week, True Parents presided over the 50th Anniversary of CARP, as young students filled fill Hyo Jeong, the heart of filial piety, pledged to continue marching forward for the establishment of Cheon Il Guk.

(Around 1,500 students gathered in Korea and abroad under the slogan 'Winner, Yes, CARP' and pledged to continue with their efforts even passed the 100th Anniversary of CARP)

I was very excited as I was coming to meet all of you.

From the beginning, when God created the universe He had a dream, something He had hoped for. When looking at the immediate results of His dream, I think in His Heart He had this same happy expectation.

Most of you here today, are second-generation members from parents who have received the Blessing from True Parents. In that case, each of you is the 'pure water' that our Heavenly Parent can feel Joy toward for the first time in six thousand years. Do you understand?

HakJaHan-160925-3.png

Through True Parents' Pure Water, you are in a position that has no connection to the fall. Yet when we look at the environment of this fallen world, do you think we still have a long way to go, or a short way to go?

You all are in the position of True Children who have received the Blessing from Heaven for the first time in six thousand years. In that case, you must all absolutely become one with True Parents. You must become the pious children, loyal subjects and soldiers who will realize our Heavenly Parent's and True Parents' dream. In order to do that, you must all become the best in each of your fields.

In this large environment, the world, we must make a protective fence that embraces 7.3 billion people. That is why from next year, I will research ways to heal the damage in the world and the damage to humans done by the misguided use of civilization's scientific developments.

That is not all. You all like games, right? We will create healthy games for those in preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school and university, based on the providence, using Divine Principle and True Parents' global peace initiatives. I have given the order to research this and create a general plan.

HakJaHan-160925-4.png

No one can go against those of you who go forward united with True Parents. CARP students, national restoration and global restoration will be done by your hands!

HakJaHan-160925-5.png

We must mobilize members of CARP from around the world centered on Korea, God's homeland and unite to go forth boldly toward national restoration and global restoration!

Good Afternoon.

What a glorious day!

God has truly blessed America!

I am deeply honored to be with you today and to be back home in the USA (there is no place like home) for the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Washington Monument rally.

What a magnificent venue. Thank you all for being here today.

It is especially meaningful to be here on these historic grounds where many great leaders have spoken and, in some cases, changed the course of history.

We gather today to remember our True Father’s words and also to receive our True Mother’s message.

Most of all we are here to revive and realize our True Parents’ mission to build a world of True Love, unity, oneness and peace.

Our True Parents came to this great nation in 1971 with a mission to uplift this blessed country and raise her up to be a champion of God’s will and the unifier of all peoples around the globe. From here they hoped to expand a heavenly realm of true freedom, harmonious faith, and true love to achieve one universal family under god.

As we remember that historic day in 1976, our minds and hearts turn to True Father’s speech, entitled “America and God’s Will.” What a powerful message. I hope that everyone can study those words. Now, more than ever, America needs to understand God’s will.

Unfortunately, all the issues our True Father highlighted four decades ago still plague this nation and, sadly, each day as we read the news we learn of more violence, hatred, division, fear, and suffering. It is overwhelming, and it breaks our hearts to observe this nation losing its way.

In True Father’s speech he clearly outlines the steps that must be taken to revive this glorious nation. This speech is like a roadmap to guide us toward the restoration of this nation.

I truly pray that all of you will practice Hoon dok hwe with True Father’s message, and work together to bring his dreams to life.

Last month, we celebrated the amazing 4th anniversary of True Father’s ascension. There is nothing that would comfort him more than for each of us to live our lives according to the guidance he gave in his Washington Monument speech forty years ago.

Let’s tell True Father we love him and pledge to realize his dream of peace with a big applause. Aju!

True Mother wanted so much to be able to be with all of you today.

I know our True Father and True Mother are here with us in heart and spirit sending their love, prayers, and blessings.

I am deeply honored to be able to deliver our True Mother’s speech today and I sincerely hope you can open you hearts and minds to hear her precious words.

Before I begin I would also like to offer my deepest gratitude to all of our true filial brothers and sisters, who have been the loving spiritual pillars for this nation and mentors to our next generation of amazing future leaders and precious blessed children.

I also want to thank the hardworking organizers and volunteers, esteemed ambassadors for peace, respected clergy and leaders who made today’s event possible..

I thank all of you for being here and for all the good work you do with tireless passion to keep our Heavenly Parent and True Parents dream alive here in this great country.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and send our eternal love to you all! Kamsahamnida! Salanghamnida!

Now please give your full attention and heart to our True Mother’s precious message, which I will now read:

True Mother’s Address

Distinguished leaders, UPF Ambassadors for Peace, members of the American Clergy Leadership Conference; beloved blessed families and members of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification!

Thank you for joining this very historic program in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Washington Monument rally held in 1976 to help revive America on the occasion of America’s bicentennial.

The speech that my late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, delivered forty years ago was entitled America and God’s Will. This message conveyed the essence of God’s Will for this nation, and highlighted the core teachings that have been the focus of our shared ministry for well over fifty years.

Today, just as on that memorable evening 40 years ago, we have gathered to ask the most important question: What is the Will of God, our Heavenly Parent, and True Parents for America?

Respected leaders!

My husband poured his entire heart and soul into the message he delivered, believing that the very destiny of this nation was at stake. God had called our couple to America to awaken this nation to its true mission and purpose, to be a beacon of hope and guidance for the world.

I remember that day, forty years ago, as if it were yesterday. The words Rev. Moon so passionately spoke are inscribed deep within my heart. They truly are the remedy that this nation needs in order to heal itself.

How many nights I have been praying for this nation and its people, crying out in hopes that America and the American people can embrace the vision that my husband shared on that day 40 years ago!

Unfortunately, many have not had “eyes to see, or ears to hear.” And yet, we never gave up. I was always with my husband, especially during the darkest times. We lived each and every moment of our lives in service to the Will of our Heavenly Parent.

Beloved leaders!

Tragically, our current world does not manifest God’s original, heavenly ideal. On the contrary, the individuals, families, societies, and nations of our world continue to experience division and conflict. Terrorism, gun violence, broken families, poverty, injustices and the severe degradation of our beautiful planet that is threatening human well-being make the headlines on a daily basis.

The gap between God’s original ideal and the world we live in is regretfully wide. As our Heavenly Parent, God’s heart is broken. As he witnesses the suffering of his sons and daughters His heart is burdened with grief and pain. As the vertical True Parents of humankind, Rev. Moon and I profoundly understand and share in God’s grieving heart.

Respected leaders!

God longs to restore humanity and to establish one universal family under God, creating a global culture of heart and true love, centering on True Parents. The providence of God is fulfilled only on the foundation of the fulfilment of our own portion of responsibility. If we, as God’s sons and daughters, respond to God’s Will and take action, history moves forward toward restoration and, ultimately, the fulfillment of God’s original will. However, if we fail to recognize or respond to God’s Will, God’s providence is blocked and prolonged.

This point must be fully understood and remembered by each one of you, and especially the religious leaders. For, it has been the primary mission and purpose of religion, led by prophets and men and women of faith, to lead the way in fulfilling God’s ideal. This was the mission of Jesus, and the essence of what he taught.

As we know, even though Jesus was the only begotten son and messiah, he faced fierce opposition and rejection. Ultimately, contrary to his original mission, he tearfully went the way of the cross, and the complete fulfillment of God’s Will was not achieved at that time. The fulfillment of the providence that God had so lovingly prepared over 4,000 biblical years, with blood, sweat and tears, had to be prolonged.

Nevertheless, as the original True Parent of humankind, God could not abandon his children. A new dispensation for the salvation of humanity began.

Now, please understand that God does not have a magic wand that simply transforms this world. God’s providence always demands indemnity and the fulfillment of the human portion of responsibility, which consists of our understanding and our dutiful response to his Will.

Respected leaders!

When looking at the history of the providence, we see that despite any setback or opposition, God’s providence continues! This is because God’s heart of true love for his beloved children is eternal and absolute. For this reason, even after Jesus’ ascension, Christianity spread throughout the world with Heaven’s blessing, laying the foundation for the completion of God’s providence. Indeed, just as with Rome at the time of Jesus, this nation of America was formed, protected and guided by Heaven so that God’s providence could advance toward that end.

Understanding God’s purpose for America, my husband and I came to this nation in 1971 with a clear mission. We came and invested our heart and soul to awaken this nation so that it could fulfill its mission and responsibility!

We could see that America was losing its way; its moral and spiritual foundation was in decline. We came here with a heart of desperation, prepared to give our lives. God had called us to America as a firefighter to put out the flames of suffering and corruption and a doctor to heal its wounds.

We gave up everything to focus on this mission. Our family faced relentless persecution and opposition. Our children paid a very high price. Yet, we were determined to risk our lives and everything we had for the sake of God’s Will, centered on the ideal of sacrificial true love.

Beloved leaders!

You have been witnesses to the life my husband and I have led. You have witnessed the kind of life we led to realize God’s Will. You have also witnessed the life we led in the midst of persecution to awaken this blessed land of America to its God-given mission and help it overcome the challenges it has faced. I believe that you know the truth, that you have “eyes to see and ears to hear” and know for whose sake and for what purpose we dedicated our lives.

Who can deny that America today is in great need of a spiritual awakening? The Yankee Stadium and Washington Monument rallies we convened in 1976, along with countless others over these four decades, were designed to awaken America to fulfill its providential responsibility.

It is one of my saddest memories to reflect on the fact that my husband was unjustly imprisoned in Danbury prison, as a result of prejudice and ignorance. The man who gave his life for this nation, faced humiliation and rejection. Seeing this miserable situation, God, our Heavenly Parent, wept.

Respected leaders!

God has abundantly blessed America, but not for its own sake alone. America was called to serve God’s providence as a true “elder son” nation that lives for the sake of other nations; America was called to help usher in a worldwide awakening that would open the way for a world culture of heart to emerge, “one family under God.”

On this auspicious day, I have an urgent message to convey to this blessed elder nation of America:

“America, I proclaim and call upon you today to arise once more! You must not fail in your responsibility to serve God’s providence!”

For the sake of all those patriots who died for this nation, for the sake of the Pilgrim Fathers who braved countless hardships in search of religious freedom, and for the sake of your ancestors, America must not fail to live up to its responsibility.

Beloved leaders! Ladies and Gentlemen!

We stand at a very serious time in this nation’s history. Indeed, we are at a very serious point in world history. To overcome this challenge and help realize God’s ideal, I call upon Christian leaders, and all religious leaders, to awaken and stand firm on behalf of God’s Will. We must join together, going beyond the boundaries of race, ethnicity, gender, status, culture, belief and religion to form one family under God.

I call also upon the legislators of this nation to set aside partisanship, and to move toward collaboration for the public good of the nation and for the sake of the entire world. Public servants must be awakened in the same way that spiritual leaders must be awakened to a life of service, living for the sake of others. That is the essence of good governance.

Respected leaders!

Recently, on the foundation of the Universal Peace Federation, I launched the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. UPF is currently carrying out a series of International Leadership Conferences to launch the parliamentarians’ association in the Asia Pacific Region, in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Central and South America, culminating in December with a world level ILC in Washington DC. These ILC programs are igniting enthusiasm among parliamentarians, who are the representatives directly elected by the people, calling each one to transcend national interests and work together to realize a global community based on mutual dependence, mutual prosperity and universally shared values.

I hope that many members of congress can encourage and support this initiative, and work with parliamentarians from 194 nations in a spirit of harmony and cooperation to solve our serious global problems, such as climate change, the rise of violent extremism, and the growing divisions among various nationalities, ethnicities, religions, and so on. America should be the elder brother in unifying the peoples and nations of the world as one family under God.

Respected leaders!

Everything my husband and I have invested in this nation is for the sake of God’s Will.

God is looking to us at this time. God has not given up on this nation. However, God cannot wait forever. The world is moving 180 degrees away from God’s Will. God needs not only individuals but an entire nation to stand on His side, to be his agent of change and transformation, centered on True Love.

Therefore, let us pledge to work together for the sake of God’s providence, and for the sake of 7.3 billion people on this earth.

Will you do that? Can our Heavenly Parent trust your resolve and determination?

If your answer is “yes!” let us show our determination by giving a big round of applause to God and True Parents.

Beloved leaders!

We have gathered here today not just to honor the events of 40 years ago, but to bring that work to conclusion.

There is no time to delay. It is time for us to overcome any attachment to individualism. It is time for us to live and work to love, care, serve, and harmonize together as one family under God. If we unite centering on God and True Parents and work together, we can build a world of true love, true joy and true harmony. This is America’s mission! Let us build the Kingdom of God, right here in America, and let us spread true peace throughout the world.

God, our vertical True Parent, is here with us today. Also, my late husband and our True Father is surely present here today.

I would like to ask you once more to pray and reflect deeply about this message. Please search your heart so that you will come to know and follow the Will of God and True Father for this nation. Their hearts are aching, and hoping that each one of you will rise up to lead this nation in a new direction, that this nation may be “one nation under God”, a nation that liberates not only the suffering heart of humanity, but the very suffering heart of our Heavenly Parent, who has longed for the day when all his sons and daughters can be embraced as his true children.

Let us be the ones who fulfill God and True Parents’ Will at this crucial time in history.

May God bless you and your families; and forevermore, may God bless America.

Aju!

I also want to thank the hardworking organizers and volunteers who made today’s event possible.

True Mother’s Address:

HakJaHan-160917-5.png

HakJaHan-160917-6.png

HakJaHan-160917-7.png

HakJaHan-160917-8.png

Aju!

Benediction prayer at the Cheonji Sunhak Won Construction Groundbreaking

Hak Ja Han
September 8, 2016

HakJaHan-160908d-1.png

Today, we gather at the groundbreaking of the Cheonji Sunhak Won in beautiful Chung Pyung, where we can show Your dreams and hopes to humanity.

Two thousand years ago, You sent Your only begotten son, the Messiah, to fallen humankind after a long Providential period of four thousand years. However, Judaism and the nation of Israel did not take responsibility. The reason why our Heavenly Parent sent the only begotten son was to fulfill His dream that His son would take the place of True Parents in front of humankind. Despite Heavenly Parent's efforts, and the suffering He experienced in sending His only begotten son, the 2,000 year history of Christianity started out centered around the people who crucified the only begotten son, and the disciples of Jesus. It has been passed down to the present without people knowing the true nature of Jesus or the providence of Heaven.

HakJaHan-160908d-2.png

Throughout 6,000 years of Your repeated efforts and love, You built the Korean nation and gave birth here to Your only begotten daughter, so that humankind's True Parents would manifest and new providential history would begin. You have opened the pathway for all people around the world to go forward as children of the Heavenly Parent. How miraculous is this? I am however truly sorry that the world is still unaware of this amazing fact. Therefore, in the name of True Parents we will quickly build Cheonji Sunhak Won, for the sake of the members and future generations of the Unificationist family, the citizens of Cheon Il Guk. Cheonji Sunhak Won will show them, in a stimulating way, True Parents' love and True Parents' providential work.

Loving Heavenly Parent, thank you. I am so grateful and thankful to You for Your hard work. You did not forsake such ignorant people, but instead have continued to lead them. With regards to the tremendously hard work You have invested, we are so sorry and yet so grateful. Heavenly Parent, now, through True Parents who are fulfilling Your original dream, a foundation for the settlement of Cheon Il Guk has been laid. Through constructing this facility, we will now advance toward the day when this people will be awakened, and all the people of the world will be able to return thanks and glory to Heaven with a shimjeong (heart) of hyojeong.

Heavenly Parent, if You are with us, we will accomplish this without fail. This will be a starting point for the sake of that day. Father, Please preside over all the events of today. All these things I give thanks for and pray in the name of the True Parents. Aju!"

True Parents' Life and Works Educational Center "CheonJi SunHak Won"

True Parents' time on earth is limited by the human life span. Moreover, within a comparatively small number of years, everyone who worked together with True Parents, heard them speak or greeted them even once at a public event, will have departed this earthly life and be in the spirit world. Within a few decades our movement will be totally made up of people who never met or saw True Parents in the flesh.

Knowing this, True Mother -- who perhaps more than anyone is aware of the speed at which time passes - - decided that an educational exhibition center and archive devoted to the lives of True Parents and to the movement they initiated and inspired, should be created while they are still on earth and while all that they have accomplished is still well within living memory.

In 2014, Mother announced that the CheonJi SunHak Won would be built in HJ Cheonwon (the Chung Pyung complex), and established a planning committee. Last year, Mother mentioned the following to a large crowd gathered at the Chung Pyung Azalea Festival:

"At the center of the Chung Pyung development, which can fulfill the hopes and dreams of our Heavenly Parent and True Parents, I will construct the CheonJi SunHak Won, to be unique and at the highest standard, ready to show these hopes and dreams to the world. It will be a place where you and your descendants can experience the True Parents' love, and a holy place where you can return eternal thanks to Heavenly Parent." May 7, 2016 (Azalea Festival)

CheonJi SunHak Won will have four basement levels and two stories above ground. The first and second floors will host some 6,600 square meters of exhibition space. Displayed there, in 13 thematic zones will be the story of True Parents' lives, from their births to the foundation of Cheon Il Guk. The lower levels will have models of the houses in which True Parents were born and there will be artifact storage arch.

International Leadership Conference Keynote Address UPF Co-Founder’s Address

To launch the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace in the UK
September 8, 2016, Westminster, House of Parliament, London, United Kingdom

HakJaHan-160908c-1.PNG

[Opening Remarks. Sun Jin Moon]

Distinguished members of parliament! Participants in the UPF International Leadership Conference, from Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa. Ladies and gentlemen!

Good afternoon.

It is an honor for me to stand here today in this historic venue and to be with all of you.

Before I deliver the Founder’s Address, I would just like to say how deeply moved I was last night at the opening banquet of the ILC, to witness, in one room, so many participants from all races, religions, and schools of thought; men and women, young and old, people of all ages devoted to the realization of world peace, who are tirelessly working in all sectors to create sustainable global development and harmony as one united family under God.

Despite the constant news of a world drifting off into oblivion, where division, borders, walls, armaments, war, devastation, ignorance, self-interest, poverty, lack of human and moral rights and the outright destruction of life on this planet plague and darken our daily existence, I witnessed something completely different yesterday!

I saw a ray of hope and felt for the first time in a long while that change is possible when we are united as one under the divine light and truth of God, our Heavenly Parent, and when we work together to live in balance and harmony with all life.

I was truly inspired by the sincere heart and the passionate exchange of amazing individuals, leaders, teachers, heroes and saints who I believe are pioneering an enlightened way of life, based on a higher consciousness to live for the sake of others. Such people do not just talk about peace, rather they work to actualize peace in their homes, communities, societies, nations and the world.

To all the distinguished parliamentarians and organizers, volunteers and participants in the ILC here in London, gathered now in this historic Palace of Westminster, meeting place of the houses of parliament of the UK, I deeply want to thank you and convey my deepest respect and love to you all for bringing this dream of peace to life on this glorious day. Can we give a round of applause to all the great men and women in this room. Thank you!

With that said, I would like to deliver the Founder’s Address of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, True Mother, my mother and the Co-founder of UPF who truly wanted to be here with you today.

I know that she and my father, the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon, are here with us in joyful spirit.

I will do my best to convey the warmth of love and the hopes for peace that she has in her heart and I invite you to all pay close attention to her message:

UPF Co-Founder’s Address

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon

Your Excellencies. Distinguished parliamentarians from throughout Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa. Honored Participants in the International Leadership Conference of the Universal Peace Federation. Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am pleased to address you today here in the historic Palace of Westminster, meeting place of the two Houses of Parliament for the United Kingdom, the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

I believe it is very significant that we have gathered here for this special session of UPF’s International Leadership Conference, and the launch, in this region, of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. I am encouraged that parliamentarians have come together from not only the United Kingdom, but also from many other European nations, as well as from nations of the Middle East and Eurasia.

My late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, and I have always taught that individuals in every sector of society---including government, civil society, religion, business, academia, and so forth---have a responsibility to work to build a world of universal and lasting peace. This is especially true of parliamentarians.

The parliament in any nation is the house of the people, a place where the voice of the people may be heard and the public good advanced by democratically elected representatives, parliamentarians.

Representative democracy is a noble tradition, with roots that date back many centuries, and now the most widely practiced form of governance.

Although you have gathered here from nations around the world, you share a common appreciation and respect for serving as the representatives of the people who elected you. You are servants of the people, and, as such, are expected to serve the public good, guided by basic principles of good governance: accountability, transparency, inclusivity, and respect for human rights and the rule of law.

Good governance is secured not only by the policies and laws of the political system. It is also necessary that those who hold positions of power be people of good character, guided by their conscience and universal moral principles. Good governance also depends upon a well-educated and morally responsible citizenry.

It is for this reason that, throughout history, religion has been an important factor in contributing to the moral and spiritual development of both the political leaders and the citizens. It is imperative that, within modern democratic systems, we do not lose sight of God, our creator and Heavenly Parent, nor of the spiritual principles and laws that have been taught throughout the ages.

My husband and I have dedicated our lives exclusively to building a world of lasting peace. This has been our lifelong mission.

We have always taught that peace is not merely an absence of violent conflict. Peace comes into being whenever relationships are characterized by harmony, balance and mutual respect. Such relationships are created when we practice unselfishness, living for the sake of others. This is the essence of True Love.

True Love is the essence of God, who created all things, as our Heavenly Parent. We all have a nature that derives from our common origin. That is why we are capable of practicing True Love, toward one another, and toward all things in the world around us.

Our purpose and responsibility as the sons and daughters of God, our Heavenly Parent, is to become individuals of True Love, with mind and body united; on this foundation we can build marriages and families of True Love, as the foundation for the society and the nation; and in turn we should care for the planet and all the forms of life that make up our environment. If we fulfill this responsibility, we can establish a world of peace.

My husband and I have applied this ideal, and the principle of living for the sake of others, in every sector of society.

We have always honored individuals who applied these principles in their spheres of professional life, appointing them as Ambassadors for Peace. Many parliamentarians around the world have been appointed as Ambassadors for Peace and they work closely with UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement.

In addition, I recently inaugurated the Sunhak Peace Prize to honor individuals and organizations who have dedicated themselves to serving the well-being of others and of future generations. The first Sunhak Peace Prize was presented in August 2015, and the second Prize will be awarded in February 2017.

When I spoke at the United Nations in Vienna in May of last year, 2015, I called for a spiritual awakening. The member states of the United Nations should not merely follow their national interests. Each member state should seek to serve the whole purpose, the larger purpose, looking beyond national self-interest. When we observe the world from God’s point of view, we see the world from a larger perspective. No matter what our field of endeavor---priest, parliamentarian, or professor---we should be committed to and guided by universal moral and spiritual principles. Whether we are the mayor of a small town, the pastor of a small church, or the president of a nation or the secretary general of the UN, this is our eternal responsibility. This is the responsibility of each parliamentarian gathered here.

In the year 2000, my husband and I spoke at the United Nations in New York, calling on the United Nations and the member states to consider an innovative proposal, namely, that the United Nations build within its system an interfaith council, consisting of religious, spiritual and moral leaders who could advise, collaborate and deliberate with the representatives of the member states. Such a council could serve as the voice of universal values and principles.

The UN emerged in the World War II era, more than 70 years ago. Whereas there are UN Headquarters offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Nairobi, there is no such office in Asia, even though we are living increasingly in an Asia Pacific age. In many ways, the geopolitical, economic and social center of gravity of our world is shifting toward Asia. With this in mind, UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement, are advocating for consideration of a 5th United Nations office to be established in Korea.

I hope you will reflect on this proposal. I believe a 5th UN Office on the Korean peninsula, perhaps in the DMZ, with support of both Koreas, would go a long way toward establishing peace on this peninsula and toward peace in the Asia Pacific Region.

In closing, I want to emphasize the importance of the role of parliamentarians. You represent the people. You are entrusted by the people with a great responsibility. If parliamentarians of the world join together in harmony and cooperation for the sake of peace, we can transform the current reality of our world, creating a world of joy, harmony and lasting peace. With this in mind I encourage you, on this day, to form the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, centered on the principle of living for the sake of others, and centered on God, our Heavenly Parent. You are the representatives of the 7 billion people of the world. If you join together in this way, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

Let us work together to build a world of lasting peace.

Thank you for allowing me to share these words with you today. May God bless each one of you, your family and your nation.

End: This concludes the Keynote Address of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. Namaste!

International Leadership Conference Keynote Address - UPF Co-Founder's Address - London, UK

9-8-2016

[Opening remarks. Sun Jin Moon]

Your Excellencies. Distinguished parliamentarians, and participants in the International Leadership Conference, who have come from more than 40 nations throughout Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa.

It is my great honor to be with you today on this very special occasion and to be in this historic venue, the Palace of Westminster, meeting place of the Houses of Parliament of the United Kingdom.

My beloved mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, wanted to be with us today. Together with my father, the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon, she visited this country on several occasions and also spoke in this same venue.

My mother asked me to come to London on her behalf, to deliver her message. This a special honor for me. I will do my very best to convey the warmth and love that is in her heart.

I invite you all to pay close attention to her message.

Without further ado, I will now read the Keynote Address of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, True Mother, and Co-Founder of the Universal Peace Federation:

Dr Sun Jin Moon: Keynote Address

I am encouraged that

parliamentarians have come together from not only the United Kingdom, but also from many other European nations, as well as from nations of the Middle East and Eurasia.

You are servants of the people, and, as such, are expected to serve the public good, guided by basic principles of good governance: accountability, transparency, inclusivity, and respect for human rights and the ruleof law.
