Distinguished members of parliament! Participants in the UPF International Leadership Conference, from Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa. Ladies and gentlemen!

Good afternoon.

It is an honor for me to stand here today in this historic venue and to be with all of you.

Before I deliver the Founder's Address, I would just like to say how deeply moved I was last night at the opening banquet of the ILC, to witness, in one room, so many participants from all races, religions, and schools of thought; men and women, young and old, people of all ages devoted to the realization of world peace, who are tirelessly working in all sectors to create sustainable global development and harmony as one united family under God.

Despite the constant news of a world drifting off into oblivion, where division, borders, walls, armaments, war, devastation, ignorance, self-interest, poverty, lack of human and moral rights and the outright destruction of life on this planet plague and darken our daily existence, I witnessed something completely different yesterday!

I saw a ray of hope and felt for the first time in a long while that change is possible when we are united as one under the divine light and truth of God, our Heavenly Parent, and when we work together to live in balance and harmony with all life.

I was truly inspired by the sincere heart and the passionate exchange of amazing individuals, leaders, teachers, heroes and saints who I believe are pioneering an enlightened way of life, based on a higher consciousness to live for the sake of others. Such people do not just talk about peace, rather they work to actualize peace in their homes, communities, societies, nations and the world.

To all the distinguished parliamentarians and organizers, volunteers and participants in the ILC here in London, gathered now in this historic Palace of Westminster, meeting place of the houses of parliament of the UK, I deeply want to thank you and convey my deepest respect and love to you all for bringing this dream of peace to life on this glorious day. Can we give a round of applause to all the great men and women in this room. Thank you!

With that said, I would like to deliver the Founder's Address of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, True Mother, my mother and the Co-founder of UPF who truly wanted to be here with you today.

I know that she and my father, the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon, are here with us in joyful spirit.

I will do my best to convey the warmth of love and the hopes for peace that she has in her heart and I invite you to all pay close attention to her message:

Your Excellencies. Distinguished parliamentarians from throughout Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa. Honored Participants in the International Leadership Conference of the Universal Peace Federation. Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am pleased to address you today here in the historic Palace of Westminster, meeting place of the two Houses of Parliament for the United Kingdom, the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

I believe it is very significant that we have gathered here for this special session of UPF's International Leadership Conference, and the launch, in this region, of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. I am encouraged that parliamentarians have come together from not only the United Kingdom, but also from many other European nations, as well as from nations of the Middle East and Eurasia.

My late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, and I have always taught that individuals in every sector of society -- including government, civil society, religion, business, academia, and so forth -- have a responsibility to work to build a world of universal and lasting peace. This is especially true of parliamentarians.

The parliament in any nation is the house of the people, a place where the voice of the people may be heard and the public good advanced by democratically elected representatives, parliamentarians.

Representative democracy is a noble tradition, with roots that date back many centuries, and now the most widely practiced form of governance.

Although you have gathered here from nations around the world, you share a common appreciation and respect for serving as the representatives of the people who elected you. You are servants of the people, and, as such, are expected to serve the public good, guided by basic principles of good governance: accountability, transparency, inclusivity, and respect for human rights and the rule of law.

Good governance is secured not only by the policies and laws of the political system. It is also necessary that those who hold positions of power be people of good character, guided by their conscience and universal moral principles. Good governance also depends upon a well-educated and morally responsible citizenry.

It is for this reason that, throughout history, religion has been an important factor in contributing to the moral and spiritual development of both the political leaders and the citizens. It is imperative that, within modern democratic systems, we do not lose sight of God, our creator and Heavenly Parent, nor of the spiritual principles and laws that have been taught throughout the ages.

My husband and I have dedicated our lives exclusively to building a world of lasting peace. This has been our lifelong mission.

We have always taught that peace is not merely an absence of violent conflict. Peace comes into being whenever relationships are characterized by harmony, balance and mutual respect. Such relationships are created when we practice unselfishness, living for the sake of others. This is the essence of True Love.

True Love is the essence of God, who created all things, as our Heavenly Parent. We all have a nature that derives from our common origin. That is why we are capable of practicing True Love, toward one another, and toward all things in the world around us.

Our purpose and responsibility as the sons and daughters of God, our Heavenly Parent, is to become individuals of True Love, with mind and body united; on this foundation we can build marriages and families of True Love, as the foundation for the society and the nation; and in turn we should care for the planet and all the forms of life that make up our environment. If we fulfill this responsibility, we can establish a world of peace.

My husband and I have applied this ideal, and the principle of living for the sake of others, in every sector of society.

We have always honored individuals who applied these principles in their spheres of professional life, appointing them as Ambassadors for Peace. Many parliamentarians around the world have been appointed as Ambassadors for Peace and they work closely with UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement.

In addition, I recently inaugurated the Sunhak Peace Prize to honor individuals and organizations who have dedicated themselves to serving the well-being of others and of future generations. The first Sunhak Peace Prize was presented in August 2015, and the second Prize will be awarded in February 2017.

When I spoke at the United Nations in Vienna in May of last year, 2015, I called for a spiritual awakening. The member states of the United Nations should not merely follow their national interests. Each member state should seek to serve the whole purpose, the larger purpose, looking beyond national self-interest. When we observe the world from God's point of view, we see the world from a larger perspective. No matter what our field of endeavor -- priest, parliamentarian, or professor -- we should be committed to and guided by universal moral and spiritual principles. Whether we are the mayor of a small town, the pastor of a small church, or the president of a nation or the secretary general of the UN, this is our eternal responsibility. This is the responsibility of each parliamentarian gathered here.

In the year 2000, my husband and I spoke at the United Nations in New York, calling on the United Nations and the member states to consider an innovative proposal, namely, that the United Nations build within its system an interfaith council, consisting of religious, spiritual and moral leaders who could advise, collaborate and deliberate with the representatives of the member states. Such a council could serve as the voice of universal values and principles.

The UN emerged in the World War II era, more than 70 years ago. Whereas there are UN Headquarters offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Nairobi, there is no such office in Asia, even though we are living increasingly in an Asia Pacific age. In many ways, the geopolitical, economic and social center of gravity of our world is shifting toward Asia. With this in mind, UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement, are advocating for consideration of a 5th United Nations office to be established in Korea.

I hope you will reflect on this proposal. I believe a 5th UN Office on the Korean peninsula, perhaps in the DMZ, with support of both Koreas, would go a long way toward establishing peace on this peninsula and toward peace in the Asia Pacific Region.

In closing, I want to emphasize the importance of the role of parliamentarians. You represent the people. You are entrusted by the people with a great responsibility. If parliamentarians of the world join together in harmony and cooperation for the sake of peace, we can transform the current reality of our world, creating a world of joy, harmony and lasting peace. With this in mind I encourage you, on this day, to form the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, centered on the principle of living for the sake of others, and centered on God, our Heavenly Parent. You are the representatives of the 7 billion people of the world. If you join together in this way, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

Let us work together to build a world of lasting peace.

Unite with God in absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience

God created heaven and earth and Adam and Eve, who are the ancestors of humankind, and gave them responsibility. They should have been united with God in absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. However, during their growth stage, they fell due to self-centered thought and behavior.

One the other hand, God had a grand dream. God wanted to achieve that dream with Adam and Eve. However, Adam and Eve, who were supposed to fulfill their responsibility, fell. Therefore, the almighty God became a miserable, sorrowful, and lonely God.

God’s heart never gives up on fallen humankind, so God started the providence of restoration through indemnity in order to restore mankind. So Heaven chose and raised up the chosen people.

To accomplish God’s dream, there must be a man and a woman who can fulfill the necessary responsibility. Through this man and woman, the gate to bring fallen people to Heaven’s side can be opened and the providence of history can move forward.

How difficult it must be to raise the chosen people. The tribe of Israel were prepared for 4,000 years in order to send the Messiah, the Savior, Jesus. The tribe of Israel, the Jewish people, and especially people around Jesus, Mary, Zachariah’s family and Joseph’s family, should have fulfilled their missions.

In one word, they failed. God prepared for so long and sent the Only Begotten Son, but the Jewish people crucified him. They believed that was salvation. It was silly and senseless. The two thousand years of Christianity has just been an empty shell.

There was no center. They didn’t understand God’s providence and why God sent the Only Begotten Son. Man cannot do anything by himself. Therefore, the two thousand years of Christian history has been the providence to find the Only Begotten Daughter.

However, today’s Christianity does not know about this. Nevertheless, Heaven has moved forward through providential history. You would see that if you looked at the Bible. Heaven never used a central figure who had failed his original mission. It is the same with countries.

Heaven was longing for the Only Begotten Son and Only Begotten Daughter to become True Parents and save humankind, but that dream has been frustrated once again.

I told you this before; without indemnity, fallen people cannot go back to the Heaven’s side. You must know this.

Distinguished leaders gathered here today, when Jesus, the Only Begotten Son, was on the cross he said that he will return. He said that when he comes back he will have the marriage supper of the lamb. Christianity still doesn’t realize what the meaning of this is. The Only Begotten Son and Only Begotten Daughter are the True Parents who must come to the earth for the sake of God’s providence in human history.

Korea has the responsibility to prepare the foundation of the Only Begotten Daughter, the True Parents in this providential history. In the same way that Heaven selected the Jewish people as the chosen people two thousand years ago, the Only Begotten Daughter who didn’t appear two thousand years ago was born in this Korean peninsula.

That being so, this Korean peninsula is the chosen country. This place should be the homeland that God lost. Standing in front of this immense blessing you have a responsibility.

Two thousand years ago, the Jewish people failed their mission. Our position today is a blessing, but also it is a truly fearful position. The Korean people must be awakened.

Through Heaven’s providence of history, God finally sent the True Parents after enduring indescribable hardship throughout six thousand years. Without True Parents, it is impossible for fallen human beings to be the children of God.

The Korean people should not live in ignorance of True Parents and the blessings they bring. This country has an important responsibility. But they still don’t know about this. So, as a blessed family, you have to let people know of the incarnation of True Parents and teach them where they must go. You must achieve victory through action while I am on the earth. All of you know of indemnity. Do you understand?

I hope all of you can achieve victory and not pay indemnity anymore.

Hak Ja Han's Benediction at the Dedication of the Sunhak Institute of History

The Dedication Ceremony of the Sunhak Institute of History was held in the morning at 9 a.m. on 7.18 of heavenly calendar in the 4th year of Cheon Il Guk (solar calendar, Aug. 20) with True Parents. Around 300 people attended the Dedication Ceremony held at the Sunhak Institute of History in HJ Cheon Won. Of the True Family, President of FFWPUI HQ, Sun Jin Moon, and Vice President, In Sup Park, Kwon Jin Nim and his wife, Ye Jin Nim, In Jin Nim and Yeon Jin Nim were there. President of the Cheon Gong Won Committee, Kyeong-seuk Ryu, Director of Cheon Eui Won Committee, Young-hui Kim, President of Establishment of Cheonji Sunhak Won Committee Wi-il Han, Chairman of Mission Committee Foundation, President, Seok-byeong Kim, Dong-mun Ju, Directors of FFUPU, Leaders and FFWPU Members. Around 300 people attended the Dedication Ceremony held at the Sunhak Institute of History in HJ Cheon Won.

President of Sunhak Institute of History Gyeong-hyeon Lee was the MC at this Dedication Ceremony. It progressed in this order: The Entrance of True Parents, Offering of Gyongbae (bow), Opening Remarks, Flower offering from chief of peace tv, Jeong-cheol Jeon and Mr. and Mrs. Jong-hi Pak. The Unveiling Ceremony, True Mother's Benediction, Ribbon-cutting Ceremony,

Commemorative Photograph, Consecration Ceremony, True Parents' Inspection of the Sunhak Institute of History and Commemorative Planting. True Parents said in the Dedication Ceremony Benediction to, "take the lead in loving and being proud of True Parents as sons, daughters and pioneers of the providence". True Mother gave us her blessing by reporting to Heaven, "We offer this hall so that It can guide Cheon Il Guk Citizens and our future descendants. The hall has a very important responsibility for the providence."

True Parents benediction was as follows:

"Beloved Heavenly Parent, thank you for allowing us to have the Dedication Ceremony for the Sunhak Institute of History. I sincerely hope all institutes and people in this building become one in mind and one in heart and take the lead in loving and being proud of True Parents as their sons, daughters and pioneers of the providence.

Please take care of all people engaged in the Sunhak Institute of History. We offer this hall and pray that the video and materials of True Parents words can be guidance for Cheon Il Guk Citizens and our future descendants. Please be deeply proud of this hall and bless us. I prayed my name True Parents, Aju."

At the unveiling ceremony, True Parents and the major leaders announced the Sunhak Institute of History to the whole world.

After True Mother finished consecration ceremony, True Mother went to the Hyo Jeong Yeon waterfall to do commemorative planting and walked around the Sunhak Institute of History to inspect and pray for the building. During the inspection, she waved from the veranda on the 3rd floor to the audience nearby the Hyo Jeong Yeon waterfall as they cheered loudly.

True Mother visited the construction area 7 times to encourage the workers and guided the preparation for the Dedication Ceremony with great interest and love, especially due to this summer's historical heat wave.

On November 1st 1981, the Sunhak Institute of History was launched. The published works included compilations of True Parents words and collections of historical materials and archives. On March 28, 2011, it combined with the Sunghwa Publishing, and from Aug. 1, 2012, It merged again with the Pyonhil Company. Between 2013-2015, the three major scriptures of Cheon Il Guk were published, and On Aug. 8, 2014, the Historical Archives Exhibition Hall of True Parents was erected. On Aug. 20, 2016, this hall was offered with True Parents' blessing, under the name of Sunhak Institute of History.

To Honor Father's Life, We Must Complete Our Responsibilities

Fourth Anniversary of True Father's Seonghwa

Respected dignitaries from home and abroad, ambassadors for peace, beloved blessed families and other members from around the world, I love you! As you saw in the video, during the third anniversary of True Father's ascension, we told True Father we would fulfill our responsibilities on earth. "Father, please ascend to the eternal resting place. Please comfort Heavenly Parent, who has been lonely until now. Become an offering and become free. Please ascend to Heavenly Parent." Do you remember that?

Afire with hope and activity

Our responsibilities on earth -- what are those responsibilities? They are to testify to True Parents, to love True Parents, and to convey True Parents' wish to all 7.3 billion people, so that all 7.3 billion people around the world can be aware of that wish. Are you doing that?

We have organized thirteen regions based on their languages, and various events, such as tribal messiah activities, are taking place. Going beyond the tribe, going beyond the nation and expanding to the world, the providence is moving forward.

Asia, Africa -- all thirteen regions -- are alive with the fire of tribal messiah efforts. All people on earth must hear testimonies to True Parents.

Only by knowing about the True Parents can all human beings find hope. This is the fulfillment of each human being's inherent wish.

This is also Heavenly Parent's dream; however, for six thousand years, as reckoned using the Bible, all human beings have suffered under Satan's domination. Human beings have a strong yearning for heaven, yet remain ignorant of how to find heaven.

The long hard path

This is because for a fallen human being to go directly to our Heavenly Parent was not possible. A condition of indemnity was required. How difficult must it have been, how painful must it have been, that fulfilling the indemnity condition required six thousand years through the history of the providence of restoration, which God had led!

Raising the people of the chosen nation took four thousand of those years. Having paid with various conditions of indemnity, God raised the people to the level of a nation. On that foundation, God sent his only begotten son, Jesus. Yet Mary, who was a central figure, and the family of Zachariah, the family of Joseph, the Jewish leaders, the people of Israel -- they were all ignorant of Heaven's providence.

Until then, countless human beings had been born on earth, but after four thousand "biblical years," for the first time in history, God sent his only begotten son, the person he referred to as "my son." That being the case, the central figures should have embraced Jesus, the Messiah. They should have prepared the requisite environment for Jesus; however, we know the outcome. They failed in fulfilling their responsibilities. That is why Jesus was crucified. On the cross, Jesus said he would come again.

What would Jesus do on his return? He said he would host the marriage supper of the Lamb. What does that mean? That refers to the realization of Heavenly Parent's wish and the inherent dream of all human beings. Human beings dream of finding True Parents, because only through True Parents can human beings return to being God's true children.

Be heavenly tribal messiahs

By their own effort, fallen human beings cannot return to being true children of God unless True Parents lead them. Fallen children cannot be born anew into the kingdom of God; therefore, for the first time in six thousand years based on the foundation of the Korean people, the only begotten son and only begotten daughter were sent, and they hosted the Holy Wedding and became the True Parents, for whom humanity has yearned for so long.

Therefore, what path must these people of Korea choose? All of you in blessed families, who have received the blessing ahead of others, please fulfill the responsibilities of heavenly tribal messiahs. Go beyond the tribe.

Go beyond the nation. Reach the world. Establish a foundation on the world level for True Parents. This is the status of blessed families worldwide. Right now, through the world's thirteen regions, this work in taking place.

In addition, this year during Foundation Day, we launched the parliamentarians association. In July, members of our movement in Nepal launched the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, as well as Peace Road, the great journey linking humanity and peace. More than a hundred and forty nations participated in Peace Road, and with the founding of the parliamentarians association, in each nation, virtuous men and women will be participating, warmly welcoming these initiatives.

Finish the year strongly

The final launching of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace will take pace in December. Until that day, these initiatives will continuously take place. When we look at these initiatives, the hearts of people all around the world yearn to go toward the realization of global peace, but no one has known how to reach that objective. Therefore, they must wholeheartedly participate, support and happily join the Family Federation for World Peace.

Remaining obstacles

True Parents' dream and every human beings inherent wish is to realize one family under God. However, today's world is filled with various issues -- religious conflicts, racial conflicts and territorial conflicts. All these conflicts stem from self-centered actions. Furthermore, since the Industrial Revolution, the livelihood of most people has changed. Economic prosperity, material prosperity has been achieved. Second, third, and fourth superpowers have emerged.

Rather than focusing on the positive points, instead of focusing on the future, many problems are arising.

One of them is climate change. If humanity is to survive, the Earth cannot be laid to waste. Most important, in terms of material things, are sunshine, water and air. These are decreasing; climate change is affecting these.

Ahead of his time

Looking at this reality, True Father worked in South America to resolve the issue of future food security and resolve the climate change issue. Father said that we must apply these principles to solve humanity's problems. For decades, he led the history of the providence.

People concerned about humanity's future have provided many good opinions, and they have identified many of the issues. However, when it comes to solving those issues, when it comes to providing viable solutions to those issues, the experts have not been able to do it. One cause is the superpowers' selfcenteredness. Until now, civilization has developed science based on destruction, science that focuses on war.

Therefore, I want to revive the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences. All issues afflicting the world must be resolved, because God originally created our beautiful world with an ideal in mind. Effort and a movement must develop to restore the world to its pristine state. Experts and scholars must take the lead and support this great initiative. That is how they can earn humanity's trust.

Therefore, I want to restart the ICUS conferences as the center of academic, scientific studies. Through the media, I want to educate the masses and the population. I also want to engage in work that can bring about tangible results.

We all saw a beautiful performance on this stage today. In that performance, one thousand two hundred second- and third-generation Unification Church members from around the world participated. They are the future leaders of the unification movement. Even though their languages and cultural backgrounds may differ, they know True Parents, and they can unite. Therefore, we will realize Heavenly Parent's dream and True Parents' dream and all humanity's wish without fail. Until that day, we will march forward -- we must march forward.

Today, on the fourth anniversary of True Father's ascension, let us embrace this great mission in our hearts.

Let us make a firm determination that we will realize it! This is my request of you

Our responsibility on earth is to testify to True Parents

Respected dignitaries from home and abroad, peace ambassadors, beloved Blessed families and members from around the world, I love you! All of you, as you saw in the video, during the 3rd anniversary of True Father’s ascension, we told True Father we will fulfill our responsibility on earth.

“Father, please ascend to the eternal resting place. Please comfort Heavenly Parent who has been lonely until now. Become an offering and become free. Please ascend to Heavenly Parent.” Do you remember? Our responsibility on earth -- what is that responsibility? It is to testify to True Parents. It is to love True Parents, and it is to convey the will of True Parents to all 7.3 billion people, so that all 7.3 billion people around the world can know of that will. Are you doing so?

Thirteen regions have been organized depending on their languages and various activities, such as Tribal Messiah activities taking place. Going beyond the tribe, going beyond the nation and expanding to the world, the providence is moving forward. Asia, Africa, all 13 regions, are alive with the fire of Tribal Messiahship. True Parents must be testified to all of humanity. Only by knowing about the True Parents can humanity find hope. This is the fulfillment of humanity’s wish. This is the dream of Heavenly Parent; however, for 6,000 biblical years, humanity has suffered under the dominion of Satan. Humanity had the strong yearning for heaven, yet remained ignorant on how to find heaven.

This is because it was not possible for fallen human beings to go directly to Heavenly Parent. A condition of indemnity is required. If that is the case, the central figures should have embraced Jesus, the Messiah. They should have prepared the requisite environment for Jesus; however, we know the outcome. They failed in their responsibility, and that is why Jesus was crucified on the cross. On the cross, Jesus said, “I will come again.” What would Jesus do when he returns? He said, “I will host the Wedding of the Holy Lamb.” What does this mean? This means the realization of the wish of Heavenly Parent and the dream of humanity.

Humanity dreams of finding the True Parents, because only through True Parents can humanity return to the position of the true children of God. By their own effort, fallen human beings cannot return to the position of true children of God unless True Parents leads them. Fallen children cannot be born anew into the Kingdom of God; therefore, the True Parents, for whom humanity has yearned for so long, for the first time in 6,000 years centering on the Korean people, the only Begotten Son and only Begotten Daughter were sent, and they hosted the Holy Wedding and became the True Parents of humankind.

Therefore, these people of Korea, what path must they choose? All of you, as Blessed families who have received the Blessing ahead of others, please fulfill the responsibility as heavenly tribal messiahs. Go beyond the tribe. Go beyond the nation. Reach the world. Establish a foundation on the world level for True Parents. This is the status of Blessed families worldwide.

Right now, through the 13 regions around the world, this work in taking place. In addition to this, this year during Foundation Day, the Parliamentarians Association was launched. In July, as you have seen through the video, in Nepal the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace was launched in Nepal, together with the launching of the Parliamentarians Association and Peace Road, the great journey linking humanity and peace. More than a 140 nations participated in the Peace Road, and together with the founding of the Parliamentarians Association, in each nation, virtuous men and women are participating, warmly welcoming these initiatives. In December, there will be the final launching of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. Until that day, these initiatives will continuously take place.

When we look at these initiatives, the heart of people all around the world yearn to go toward the realization of a world of peace. But humanity has not known how to reach that objective. Therefore, they must wholeheartedly participate, support, and happily join the Family Federation for World Peace. The dream of the True Parents and the wish to humanity is to realize one family under God; however, today’s world is filled with various issues: religious conflict, conflict of race, territorial conflicts. All these conflicts stem from self-centered actions. Furthermore, through the industrial revolution, the livelihood of humanity has changed. Economic and material prosperity has been achieved, and second, third, and fourth superpowers emerged. Rather than focusing on the positive points, instead of focusing on the future, many problems are arising. One of them is climate change.

The earth cannot be laid to waste if humanity is to survive. What is most important, in terms of material things, are sunshine, water, and air. These are decreasing, are being affected. Looking at this reality, True Father, in South America, worked to resolve the issue of future food security and resolve the issue of climate change. True Father has mentioned that we must apply these principles to solve humanity’s problems. For decades, True Father has led the history of the providence.

People who have been concerned about the future of humanity have provided many good opinions, and they have identified many of the issues; however, when it comes to solving these issues, when it comes to providing viable solutions to these issues, the experts have not been able to provide good solutions. One of the reasons is the issue of the self-centeredness of superpowers. Until now, civilization, has developed science that is based on destruction, science that focuses on war. Isn’t that so?

Therefore, I want to revive the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences. All issues afflicting the world must be resolved because God originally created this beautiful world with an ideal in mind. Effort and movement must be developed to restore this world to its pristine state. To do so, experts and scholars must take the lead and support this great initiative. That is how they can earn the trust of humanity. Therefore, I want to begin the ICUS conferences as the center for academic studies of science. Through the media, I want to educate the masses and the population. I also want to engage in work that can bring about tangible results.

All of you have seen a beautiful performance on this stage today. In that performance, we had 1,200 second and third generation Unificationists from around the world participating. They are the future leaders of the Unification movement. Even though their languages and the cultural backgrounds may be different, because they know of True Parents, they can unite as one. Therefore, we will realize the dream of the Heavenly Parent, the dream of True Parents, and the wish of all of humanity without fail. Until that day, we will march forward -- we must march forward.

Today is the fourth anniversary of True Father’s ascension. On this day, let us embrace the great will in our hearts! Let us make a firm determination that we will realize it! This is my request to you.

Your Excellencies. Distinguished participants in the International Leadership Conference!

It is my honor to be with you today.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who we know as True Mother, wanted to be with us today. She loves this country, and feels a deep bond of heart with the people of Nepal.

True Mother was heartbroken when the earthquake struck this country, causing so much suffering. She contributed $1 million in humanitarian assistance at that time.

Although she could not be present for this conference, she asked that a live internet connection be set up so she could watch the proceedings, from start to finish.

True Mother asked me to deliver her message on her behalf. This a special honor for me. I will do my very best to convey the warmth and love that is in her heart.

I will now read the Keynote Address of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, True Mother, and Founder of the Universal Peace Federation.

Your Excellencies. Distinguished parliamentarians from throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Honored Participants in the International Leadership Conference of the Universal Peace Federation. Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am pleased to address you today in Kathmandu, Nepal.

I believe it is very significant that we have gathered here for this special session of UPF's International Leadership Conference, and the launch, in this region, of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. I am encouraged that parliamentarians have come together from not only Nepal, but from many other nations as well.

My late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, and I have always taught that individuals in every sector of society -- including government, civil society, religion, business, academia, etc. -- have a responsibility to work to build a world of universal and lasting peace. This is especially true of parliamentarians.

The parliament in any nation is the house of the people, a place where the voice of the people may be heard and the public good advanced by democratically elected representatives, parliamentarians.

Representative democracy is a noble tradition, with roots that date back many centuries, and now the most widely practiced form of governance.

Although you have gathered here from nations around the world, you share a common appreciation and respect for serving as the representative of the people who elected you. You are servants of the people, and, as such, are expected to serve the public good, guided by basic principles of good governance: accountability, transparency, collegiality, inclusivity, and respect for human rights and the rule of law.

Good governance is secured not only by the policies and laws of the political system. It is also necessary that those who hold positions of power be people of good character, guided by their conscience and universal moral principles. Good governance also depends upon a well-educated and morally responsible citizenry.

It is for this reason that throughout history religion has been an important factor in contributing to the moral and spiritual development of both the political leaders and the citizens. It is imperative that, within modern democratic systems, we do not lose sight of God, our creator and Heavenly Parent, nor of the spiritual principles and laws that have been taught throughout the ages.

My husband and I have dedicated our lives exclusively to building a world of lasting peace. This has been our lifelong mission.

We have always taught that peace is not merely an absence of violent conflict. Peace comes into being whenever relationships are characterized by harmony, balance and mutual respect. Such relationships are created when we practice unselfishness, living for the sake of others. This is the essence of true love.

True Love is the essence of God, who created all things, as our Heavenly Parent. We all have a nature that derives from our common origin. That is why we are capable of practicing True Love, toward one another, and toward all things in the world around us.

Our purpose and responsibility as the sons and daughters of God, our Heavenly Parent, is to become individuals of True Love, with mind and body united; on this foundation we can build marriages and families of true love, as the foundation for the society and the nation; and in turn we should care for the planet and all the forms of life that make up our environment. If we fulfill this responsibility, we can establish a world of peace.

My husband and I have applied this ideal, and the principle of living for the sake of others, in every sector of society.

We have always honored individuals who applied these principles in their spheres of professional life, appointing them as Ambassadors for Peace. Many parliamentarians around the world have been appointed as Ambassadors for Peace and they work closely with UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement.

In addition, I recently inaugurated the Sunhak Peace Prize to honor individuals and organizations who have dedicated themselves to serving the well-being of others and future generations. The first Sunhak Peace Prize was presented in August 2015, and the second prize will be awarded in February 2017.

When I spoke at the United Nations in Vienna in May of last year, 2015, I called for a spiritual awakening. The member states of the United Nations should not merely follow their national interests. Each member state should seek to serve the whole purpose, the larger purpose, looking beyond national self-interest. When we observe the world from God's point of view, we see the world from a larger perspective. No matter what our field of endeavor -- priest, parliamentarian, or professor -- we should be committed to and guided by universal moral and spiritual principles. Whether we are the mayor of a small town, the pastor of a small church, or the president of a nation or the secretary general of the UN, this is our eternal responsibility. This is the responsibility of each parliamentarian gathered here.

In the year 2000, my husband and I spoke at the United Nations in New York, calling on the United Nations and the member states to consider an innovative proposal, namely, that the United Nations build within its system an interfaith council, consisting of religious, spiritual and moral leaders who could advise, collaborate and deliberate with the representatives of the member states. Such a council could serve as the voice of universal values and principles.

The UN emerged in the World War II era, more than 70 years ago. Whereas, there are UN Headquarters Offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Nairobi, there is no such office in Asia, even though we are living increasingly in an Asia Pacific age. In many ways, the geopolitical, economic and social center of gravity of our world is shifting toward Asia. With this in mind, UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement, are advocating for consideration of a United Nations office to be established in Korea.

I hope you will reflect on this proposal. I believe a 5th UN Office on the Korean peninsula, perhaps in the DMZ, with support of both Koreas, would go a long way toward establishing peace on this peninsula and toward peace in the Asia Pacific Region.

In closing, I want to emphasize the importance of the role of parliamentarians. You represent the people. You are entrusted by the people with a great responsibility. If parliamentarians of the world join together in harmony and cooperation for the sake of peace, we can transform the current reality of our world, creating a world of joy, harmony and lasting peace. With this in mind I encourage you, on this day, to form the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, centered on the principle of living for the sake of others, and centered on God, our Heavenly Parent. You are the representatives of the 7 billion people of the world. If you join together in this way, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

Let us work together to build a world of lasting peace.

True Parents' Special Conference to Select the Key Strategic Nations for Vision 2020

Earlier, Thomas Walsh said that he hoped I would still be beautiful after four years, in 2020. Why four years? I will continue to be beautiful for forty years. [Dr. Walsh's expectation of forty more years' of True Mother's beauty was somehow lost in the translation into Korean.]

In order to do that, I must take care of my health. When you bring me news of your victories, I want to embrace you and say to heaven, Thank you. You have waited for so long.

Yet, you have said, until the day you die, you will bring me victories. Let today be a day you can make that firm resolve. That is why I expressed my heart of wanting to boast and compliment you on your hard work.

Preserve our planet

We must once again establish the environment that Heavenly Parent hoped for in the beginning. Today, humans are causing many environmental problems all over the world.

The Earth is diseased. That is why, through the nations selected based on their foundation for victory, I will protect a healthy Planet Earth and create a natural environment that will provide true nutrients for the health of future human beings.

Nutrition's importance

In order to survive, we must consume the necessary nutrients. We must eat to live. The food we eat should be derived from crops that have been cultivated in the cleanest and healthiest manner. So far, people in food-related businesses in the world have raised prices for the sake of their own profit, rather than from their being motivated to maintain the health of human beings.

For example, if you inject something weird into soda, raise the price and then make money, doing that has an effect on people who consume that drink. They seem not to have considered this. They think solely of their own interests. We must enlighten all of these people.

That is why, especially on the restored lands of Africa, we can protect the health of all human beings through scientific and ideal methods of planting crops or raising cattle on their vast lands. In order to establish one human family under True Parents -- a healthy human family -- we must develop nations prepared to do this both internally and externally. You must do this while True Parents are on earth. Do you understand?

The same goes for Asia and South America. South America has plenty of land. Of course, I have known this for a long time; we raised cattle on our land in South America. Nevertheless, they say that bovine flatulence, gas from cattle, causes extreme pollution. In that case, we should not only raise cattle on South America's vast land but plant such things as medicinal herbs or wholesome vegetables or fruit trees for the sake of our health. We can then move toward protecting the health of the people on earth.

Absolute values and brainy people

Father began conferences for scientists in 1972 for this reason. Circumstances were difficult back then, but he invited the top scientists in the world -- some of whom had received the Nobel Prize -- and taught them about the need for absolute values in science. He educated scientists on what they should do for human peace. Then, in 1985, he challenged Dr. Kaplan, the chairman of the science conferences, and told him to proclaim that communism would collapse. At this time, Father was in Danbury prison in the United States.

Dr. Kaplan was a professor specializing in East–West political relations, so he knew a lot about communism. To say something that he is not confident in is not easy for a professor of such prestige, so he asked Father if it was acceptable for him to add the word "maybe." But Father said, No, do as I say.

As a result, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland, next to the Soviet Embassy, he proclaimed that communism would end. Proclaiming that was tantamount to risking his life. What happened afterward? Communism fell and the professor is still alive. Hence, a few years ago, I instructed someone to take care of that professor. To True Parents, whether it was a big or a small thing does not matter; he was someone who furthered the providence.

You need to be aware of that. Do you understand?

The world depends on you Whatever I have decided and have told you will surely come true. The problem is you. In this respect, as long as I am on earth, I will directly help you. The same applies to everyone else. We must be victorious while I am on earth. When you are a true filial, loyal son or daughter, you will receive blessings.

Do you realize what I am talking about? It is a blessing for you. Whether you receive this blessing and form a noble family is up to you. Do you understand? Centering on True Parents, we represent Heavenly Parent's, True Parents' and all of humanity hopes' for success. Waiting and hoping are 7.3 billion people. The people of the world must come to an awareness of how you are attending True Parents and that we are renewing and developing the providential history.

The regions with selected nations must do their best to ensure that the nations fulfill their responsibilities. At first, I said at least seven. That all twenty-one nations succeed would be nice but thirteen nations achieving victory would also be nice. I have increased the number, but I will not decrease it. I hope that everyone here will give their best effort.

If I were to add one more thing… When you look at the Christian providence, at one point in history, Britain had expanded her territory overseas to the point that people said the sun never sets on the British Empire. I am not sure what their starting motivation was, but as a result, the fact is that they spread Christianity all over the world. However, they did not realize the internal heart of heaven when it came to God's only begotten son Jesus Christ.

On the cross, Jesus died saying that he would return. However, Christians have received salvation viewing the cross as redemption. God is omnipotent. He is an absolute being. Would he have suffered for four thousand years in order to send his only begotten son to the cross as a means of salvation? Does that make any sense?

Catholicism honors Mary, who did not fulfill her responsibilities, as the Holy Mother. She is a woman who cannot be called a Holy Mother. She did not understand God's will in giving life to Jesus. She did not understand why Jesus had to come to earth.

She is a woman who greatly hurt God. It is wrong that two thousand years of Christian culture has seen the Catholic Church centered on Mary and for so long centered in Britain. For Protestants, the Bible used to only be read in Hebrew, but once it was translated into English, the general population was exposed to it. The Bible itself contains many metaphors and symbols, but it has no focus. Jesus said he would return and have the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Hierarchical support

Under those circumstances, in the providential history through the new True Parents, we must complete the past duties Britain left unfulfilled. I established a second-generation member as the national leader in the headquarters in England. The first-generation members around the world who attended True Parents have now aged. A gap exists between them and those in the second generation, who must take responsibility for the coming generation. However, I demanded that a second-generation member be assigned. As you know, I had assigned a second-generation leader in Korea. The president of FFWPUEngland, you need to know, even a twenty-one-year course [to national restoration] is good, but England must fulfill its responsibility while True Mother is still alive. You still have much to learn in those areas. Do you understand? Jack Corley, you are the regional president and must mostly help the FFWPUEngland president and must move forward with full strength for the national restoration of England. A similarity we have with the Catholic Church is in the way they have bishops and above them Cardinals. Jack Corley, as the president above the presidents, you must educate them and help fill in their deficiencies, doing your best for the national restoration of England.

Do you understand? That does not mean you should not take responsibility over the region. Fulfill your responsibilities. In your activities in England, focus on the good relationships we have created with ambassadors for peace. When Father held the ICUS gatherings of scientists, many doctorate holders and scholars from England participated. Work with them through UPF. You must not let those people just pass by. You have to open the path, so the providence can bear fruit. Do you understand?

England is important. Right now with the situation in the world being what it is, each nation only thinks of its own profit. This is causing many obstacles on the path to creating one world. In that way, England must stand up. The same is true of Germany. Jun-seok An is in Germany as are two special emissaries. Europe must not wilt like a flower; you must revive it. I am saying that Europe must not fall behind Asia and Africa.

Members in the strongest nation invested in their country, but it does not make sense that there was no result. Do you understand? [Yes] Everyone else should answer too. Do you understand? [Yes] We must become one.

Restore the Earth as God created it

I am doing activities to find the 7.3 billion children of the world through the church but you must create the environment in which we can save the Earth and protect the health of humankind. Now we will work with a "brains" once again through the Segye Times and we will continue educating humankind.

I will have you continue to report on how you were able to achieve good results from educating the nations and the world.

An example is the Kona coffee farm in Hawaii. At one time, bugs were causing a lot of damage in the coffee fields. I told one person, You should not use harmful pesticides.

You roast the whole bean, so using pesticides is not good. I asked the person to research ways to get rid of the bugs naturally and he found something. There is a way to send a signal to the bugs so they run away as if saying, I do not like it here.

I had heard that that was possible, which is why we humans must work harder to restore the polluted oceans and land tainted through some farming practices to their original states when God created them. I am saying that I will show the world scientific solutions that came from my brain. Do you think this is something good, or not?

Continual assessment

"Chanting repeatedly in a cow's ear" is a Korean proverb about ignorant people, but we have to repeat things over and over until the day we come to a realization. That is why through giving these presentations of your results, we can see a hopeful future in which all human beings can live healthy lives. I want to show through science that we can achieve one human family under our Heavenly Parent, which is what both God and humankind desire.

The conclusion is this, you all are happy because I am here. Right? What must happy people do? We must be filial children in relation to our parents. We must be loyal subjects in front of our nation of Cheon Il Guk. Do you understand?

I will guide you on that path. That is why, especially on this occasion, I have prepared Il Hwa products that the world acknowledges and which you should use strategically in your countries for your most eminent contacts and the people who will work together with you. If you get the Ginseng products, the world recognize them. We have solved the problem of how to absorb 100 percent of the ginseng when we eat it.

You need to explain that. You must listen, too and learn why this is so precious. I have another holy item for all of you–not just the seven nations, who are running with the heart of life or death toward the victory of 2020. I saw socks among Father's keepsakes. That is why I want to give you socks. I am only giving Father's socks to you here. Aren't these precious? The Ilhwa CEO will explain about the Ilhwa products.
