The Leader spoke to Unification Church members at Seoul at a service marking the official close of the three-year course.

Three years have now passed since the time when I had you make a pledge before Heaven and drove you out into the wilderness of Korea. Both young and old have fought bloody battles. In spite of many obstacles and hindrances, you have triumphed because of your single-mindedness for the Will of God. You have poured forth your tears, blood, and sweat on this soil. Three years ago, we started walking as sinners, even though without sin, receiving scorn, rebuke, and persecution unjustly.

I know that you have fought well in order that Satan might not take what you have gained. Some of you sold your blood when there was no other way to fight. Although you have labored in a very limited area, your work has laid the foundation for work in a new direction. Although you performed your work on the individual level, you have done so on the foundation of past history in order to pave the way for a new history.

Having ended our three-year course, in which direction do we head now? Up to now, our goal has been to lay the national foundation and to demonstrate to the 30 million people of Korea that there is no other way to go but that which we have set. From now on, we have to start a new campaign for the whole world, based on the national foundation. God carries out His dispensation initially for one individual, then for one family centered on that individual then for one nation based on that family, then for the whole world centered upon that nation, and finally for the whole universe centered upon the world.

The dispensation of God has not ended with this day, but instead the way has been opened for greater trial. The Israelites perished in the wilderness because they had not prepared themselves for greater trials after their exodus from Egypt. We Unification members have laid the foundation of victory in the past three years.

Now let us lead this nation to lay the world foundation. Then let us lead the world to lay the foundation for the restoration of Heaven and Earth. We must not be proud of our past loyalty but instead realize that God is expecting us to demonstrate even greater loyalty. In the past, when you met your friends on the street, you felt the pressure of their condemnation, but now you no longer need to keep your heads bowed in shame.

You are standing on a foundation which God will never forget, but if you do not rearm yourselves for the future battle, sooner or later you will perish. In a period of transition, it always happens that some people prosper and others perish. Then where are you going stand? Are you going to be those who are wiped out? Or are you going to be those who will sing the new song of the new creation, bathed in the glorious way of the sun!

In the course of restoration, one reaches Heaven, starting on the individual level. If the individual cannot progress to the family level, then God allows some other individual to lay the family foundation on the foundation which the first individual has laid. If the family does not lay a foundation for the restoration of the nation, then God another family to do so. If the nation does not lay a foundation for the restoration of the world, then God allows another nation to do so.

If you do not progress to the point of laying the world foundation, someone else will do so standing on the foundation you have laid. Until now you have dedicated yourselves and fought to restore this nation. From now you must have greater dedication for the world than that which you have had for your sons, for your families, for your nation. Every morning when you wake up, don't look upon your nation, but upon the whole world.

If the members of foreign countries outnumber us and their dedication is greater, then the movement will tend to go in their favor. When you hear the news from abroad, you must not allow yourselves to be bettered by them but must resolve to work even harder in order to keep the spiritual force with you.

From now on the work will center upon the heavenly families. Therefore, those who have been blessed will have to suffer more. Although you are not equipped in a worldly sense and are considered as insignificant people, you must make the world surrender to you

The most blessed ones are the forefathers, and those who become forefathers are those who become people of history, chronologically. Those who have contributed throughout a long history will be the forefathers of that field. In the past three years there have been given to all types of people the blessing starting with the Marriage Feast in 1960. Then in May the ceremony of the offering of all things took place.

I blessed the various types of people so that all the different types of people of the world could go through the gates of heaven. To do these things, we had to obtain holy land and place there for those who represent heaven and earth. Even those communicate with earthbound spirits will eventually go there, because that piece of holy land is the place where both heaven and earth are joined together These things cannot be done without sons and daughters of Heaven. I believe that our way will be wide open after this ceremony.

Father, You created the cosmos and all things with an eternal purpose, to be centered upon true men; this we know. The eternal world which You created was the world of Truth, the world of Goodness, and the World of Love. It was a world which contained everything man could possibly want. We know that this world of happiness was to be the eternal inheritance of Your beloved sons and daughters. It was Your Will to bless Your children so that they might respect Your Will and live in Your world with eternal happiness, ideals, and satisfaction.

We knew that You should have been receiving joy and glory from our forefathers, who, according to the expectation You had for Your creation, with utmost loyalty and filial piety should have set the way of true Husband and Wife, of true Father and Mother, and we knew that they should have become True Parents to be worthy of being called a true son and daughter, and that they should have sung a song of eternal love. In this kind of world, our forefather caused the Fall against Your Will, and the true man You had hoped to see disappeared.

True husband and wife, true father and mother, true family and tribe, true nation and kingdom, true world and cosmos were lost. We know that this became the sorrow of man and the grief of God. Hence man became more worthless than a handful of mud. Yet You did not desert man and determined to deliver him from the lowest depths. You worked in the Old Testament Age for his deliverance by setting him in the course of a servant. We know that you have been working during the dispensation of Jesus on the foundation laid by those who followed the course of servants to find true, devoted sons and daughters.

We knew that it was Your Will to send the Messiah as the Everlasting Father of mankind and that with him You wanted to lay the foundation of individuals, families, and tribes. We knew that Jesus had come with the mission to fulfill this great task and that all men of earth should have celebrated his coming and that the entire creation should have served him as the true parent and helped him fulfill and established a bond with him as true children, and that he should have established one world, fulfilling all conditions.

Since Jesus could not set up true children, You have been working for the past two thousand years providing for the adoption of men as true children. Thus many Christians and numerous people all over the world have been seeking the way to be adopted. We know that by setting the way of adoption, You have been given the idea of the Second Coming in order to restore once again the true Father of mankind. To find a servant, to find an adopted son, to find a true son, for the long period of 6,000 years, You have been the Pioneer, fighting through the way of tears, blood, and sweat, We are standing here with You, to fulfill Your desire to unify individuals, tribes, nations, the world and the cosmos.

This is Your Unification flock, who have vowed to follow You, Father. Since You, Father, have gone through the way of blood and tears, I told them to go the same way. Knowing that You have suffered for helpless people and the entire world, vowing to follow through that way, they have shed their sweat, blood, and tears on this land of Korea and have fought for Your cause. Please accept them on this day of July 24, 1963. I pray to You, Father, that You grant the promised blessing to them and make a joyful bond with them in the eyes of this congregation, of all Korea, of the whole visible and invisible worlds.

On this sacred day we are celebrating the Feast of Candles. We are celebrating this feast for You, Father; please accept it as Your own and make a day on which man will give praise and take pride because of the ideal of one world and brotherhood has been demonstrated. We are more than grateful if this event creates joy for all men. We are more than grateful if this nation can rejoice and give praise because of this event. I pray, Father, that You will conduct the marriage ceremony of these 124 couples. Give them Your blessing that they may be warriors in the satanic world in order to bring about one Day of Glory, so that the whole creation, all mankind, and the entire universe may rejoice with them.

For this they are willing to endure any trials and sufferings, bearing the cross for themselves, for their families, for their nation, and for the whole world, to bring you this one day of glory, these sons and daughters have made a deep and solemn vow in their hearts. Accept them as Your sons and daughters forever, They have made a promise to become husband and wife, not only on earth but throughout the world of eternity. Father call them Your pride and show them off to the world. The glory of heaven, the harmony of earth be with them forever, with this congregation, and with the entire creation.

After this marriage feast, may the glory of Your victory be with them forever! They have made a vow to become true husband and wife, true parents, true sons and daughters, therefore embrace them in Your bosom forever.

This prayerful blessing have made in the name of the True Parents and the eternal Father. Amen.

Why was the name of the Unification Church originated? It became necessary because of the Fall of Man. By the same token, this is why all sorts of religions were born throughout history. Today, you experience a distorted sadness in your environment and heart because man fell. Therefore, the root of all kinds of suffering and sorrow was the Fall of Man. You know this fact very well.

Right Lifestyle of the Members of Unification Church

Now, since you are a member of Unification Church, what should be the focus of your thoughts? You must think what will bring about unification in history and the world; a Heaven and Earth divided because of the Fall of Man.

You must long to see harmony and unity. With your hearts filled with longing for this unity, if you will be heartistic shields and protection for this world against the attacks of billions of Satans, you are qualified as members of Unification Church.

The member of Unification is an individual and the Unification Church represents the whole. Thus, each member must have conviction to annihilate Satan -- the enemy who opposes Heaven 's will to unite this world and whose work is to divide this cosmos -- and each of you must unite together as one sharing the same heart of sorrow and anguish as God. This band of Unificationists must be like this.

Heaven wants to gather not just one individual, but numerous tribes of humanity throughout the world. If we glance at this world from God's view, our hearts will be filled with an unbearable sorrow. Religions were born not just for the certain age when they came about. However, there are so many religions, while separated and disintegrated, are proud of only their respective historical backgrounds, and wield power that influences many nations, and has separate traditions firmly established. This is the sad reality seen from Heaven's side who wants to unify the world.

How can the one unified religious body for Heaven's purpose be achieved? We must resolve and remove the root cause of this disunity; thus creating one unified religion. Unless we are able to achieve this, we cannot establish one nation. Unless we can restore this nation, we cannot restore one Heaven and earth.

Therefore, the members of the Unification Church, who would represent this history of restoration, must put importance on the word, unification and demonstrate the value of unification throughout their life. You must be the group who welcomes the emergence of the unified world in your lifetime even in your dreams.

Any people who try to divide and destroy this movement that promotes unity are our enemies. You must engrave in your heart the fact that Satan uses such people as arrows to kill you.

Until now, we have been shot with all kinds of arrows, such as arrows of the individual, family, church, society, nation, and religion. Despite these attacks, we have remained strong until today. We have developed the standard of goodness centered on the name of Unification Church -- this name being the point of our battle cry.

Now, where is the ultimate goal toward which we must go? Our existence will not end just leaving the name, Unification Church. Even if it is God's desire to establish the Unification Church at one point, it is not His ultimate desire. This may become an interim desire, to reach one point of the process as we move toward the goal, but not to become the ultimate goal in itself.

This is what I think. The purpose for which Jesus returns on earth is to offer the entire cosmos to the Father (God), not just bring about unity among churches or offering one nation to Him.

We must build one unified nation beyond the unified church; and then, we must build the unified Heaven and earth beyond the unified nation. After that, the church will have to welcome the true master who can manage this unified Heaven and earth. This self-propelled leader, who can represent heaven and earth, is the Lord of the Second Advent. He is the one whom God has been waiting for.

Then, who are the most difficult people for you to unify in the world? They are not the people who are fighting and arguing, insisting on the superiority of their own denomination. These people are small people who can be pushed around, easily influenced by the teachings or opinions of others. They do not know heads or tails about real conviction.

The most difficult ones for you to unify are devoted religious people. They are convicted in their paths and faiths. When you try to bring unity among the religions, you should know that these religions are not under the control of any political powers and influences.

At many points in history, political powers persecuted a religion with spears and swords. However, the descendants of these politicians and policy-makers regretted and repented this fact and wrote letters of surrender to the very religions that their ancestors had persecuted. Religions have such a history.

Today, what the members of Unification church should know is how we can bring the unity among these religions? We are not talking about temporary unification. We are talking about the eternal unification. Starting from, creating unity in our daily living, unity in our actions, unity in ideologies, and then bringing about the unity in our hearts: these are the things that we must accomplish. Unless we can show something better, it is impossible to bring about unity.

First, you must show your characters. Second, you must show your lifestyle and deeds based on true religious conviction. In order to do these, you must develop your character that can represent historical ideology and idealism. Thus, you must live a life that can be remembered for eternity. Moreover, your deeds must be publicly recognized by the entire world. Your lifestyle should not be a facade or masquerade; but your life should be truthful and stand on the foundation that your action follows your thought and determination completely. Otherwise, it is impossible to bring about the unification.

Then, who is the person that is fully equipped with all these characteristics? He is the man of character who can recognize all human conditions and situations. He is not a man who can recognize limited situations of humanity. He is the man of character both internally and externally; and he can understand all conditions of mankind and represent the historical situations of man before the Heaven even if he had to face and overcome twisted historical challenges, pains and anguishes of the ages, and difficulties of the future.

The Master's remarks

We know that human history has been the history of restoration through the ways of restitution. Through this course of restitution and restoration Satan has been constantly accusing mankind. On the other hand angels, prophets, all servants of God and our forefathers have been helping us by all means.

However, the time has come when the Satan, who has troubled mankind so long, will not be able to accuse us any longer. But from this time on you have to be careful with saints especially the members of our Family.

There is a time when the angels, prophets, saints and our forefathers will accuse you in place of Satan. Then finally there will be accusation of the members of our Family, namely, they will accuse you by the standard of heart with which they served God to fulfill the final dispensation.

The only way of avoiding this accusation is to suffer for the cause. Your suffering must reach the point that angels sympathize with your tears; prophets and all saints and forefathers cannot see you suffering any longer and hold you to stop suffering; that our Family members humble themselves before you because of your great suffering.

This is the reason why your Leader set a three year period and sent you out to suffer. With the condition of three years suffering in its utmost on behalf of this nation and the whole of mankind your Leader is to lay a foundation by which he is going to subjugate in one stroke the nation of Korea and the whole of mankind, particularly, all of the adepts and masters who have devoted their lives to the good of humanity and self-mastery.

In this way I want you to inherit the Cosmic Heirship without being accused by anyone. God will not able to give you the Cosmic Heirship as long as you are accused by someone even though God wants you to have it. This is the reason why the providence of restoration has been delayed for 6,000 years.

Since Adam and Eve, the forefathers of mankind, were alienated from God at the crossroads of life and death, man cannot meet God until he passes the crossroad. Since mankind deserted Jesus, the Messiah, on the hill of Calvary man cannot meet the returned Messiah until man reaches the hill of Calvary.

Therefore in the remaining period of the three year course until the end of May 1963, you must climb the Calvary and pass it bearing the cross of atonement for the sin of this nation and the whole of mankind, and inherit alive the kingdom of God as final victors.

Hence the remaining period is the historically most significant and unprecedented time.

News from Korea

As the last project of the three year course of national restoration, workers were sent out to 4,000 places covering all of South Korea. The 40 day movement began December 26th, 1962 and will be formally closed on the 28th of January 1963. However the work will continue.

The motto for the year 1960 was "Let the year be that in which we make the highest achievement of our lives." The motto for 1961 was "Let us be the representatives of the Father." The motto for 1962 was "Let us be the ones whom the Father would like to show off and be proud of." On the foundation of these previous mottoes, the slogan for this year of 1963 is "Let us be victorious rulers," which will be the slogan for the next four years.

The past three years were an inevitable and necessary three-year period to make restitution in the course of restoration. The highest and the greatest achievement could not be made without going through the greatest suffering. Accordingly the unforgettable, sad condition of restitution had to be made in 1960. Then, to become representatives of the Father, your hope, experiences and hearts had to be identical with those of the Father. Only under this condition could we subjugate Satan at the universal level.

Only by subjugating the universal Satan can you be the ones of whom the Father can be proud before heaven and earth. Then you will be victorious rulers with God's blessing. In 1963, we must lay the foundation for the restoration of all things. Namely we must buy holy lots and expand them. With the blood-money of Jesus a lot was purchased to bury the bodies of foreigners. The Jews sold their True Father, Jesus for 30 Denarii. To make restitution we must buy the land back at the cost of our blood.

We must begin to merchandise goods, make money, and buy holy lots, so that we may be buried in these lands. Abraham, Jacob, Moses and Jesus were concerned with the land of their burial. We must follow their example. We must be ever more thrifty than the Israelites, so that we can restore the things of the world to God in order to make a foundation for the liberation of this nation and all of mankind. When the holy land is prepared, we must dig up and destroy all monuments of the satanic world, clean the land and sanctify it. Then we must replace these with things precious to the hearts of people of all nations.

With the birth of a male child [Hyo Jin Moon born 12/3/62 lunar] in December the foundation of our Church was completed. The year 1962 was a most complicated year and saw many events, because the trend of universal force turned in another direction.

It is not an accidental coincidence that the Korean government has allowed political activities from this year, 1963. The Korean government started from 1962 a five-year plan of economic development, which parallels our four-year course of material restoration. We must start wit the new resolution to give up personal adornment and return to nature in this stage of material restoration.

From this year on we must inherit the suffering of Jesus on Calvary and pay back the price of his blood and the Father's blood. (The blood shed by those who have throughout history been working for the Divine restoration of mankind.) For the Father cannot avenge His blood, but only the sons can avenge the blood of the Father.

Our Church is the place where all people come back to their adolescence and the adolescent boys and girls meet each other and marry. That is, all members are brides before the Lord, Bridegroom. Therefore those who are going to marry must cut off their bonds with their own parents and brothers and sisters and unite themselves quickly with in-laws and have more regard for their in-laws than that which they had for their own relations.

The custom of Korean marriage reflects the heavenly laws of adornment of a bride to the Lord. A Korean bride takes her bridegroom's house everything which belongs to her when she marries. This is done to introduce her past history to her husband. Likewise, as a bride you must confess all your past history to the Lord. When a girl marries she brings gifts to each one in the bridegroom's family. This is done to establish a bond of affection wit the in-laws.

The offerings and tithes we bring to the Lord have the same meaning. They are gifts and sacrificial offerings which demonstrate the bride's desire to be a member of her husband's household. The blessing in marriage is the entry of your name in the husband's family register. Once you are entered in the family register, you have made the final step. If you are rejected by this family, there is no hope for you.

Last year I gave prizes to a man and three women in order to make them examples in history and to open the way of salvation to the first generation, who are parallel to those who perished in the wilderness. Therefore they were chosen from among those who have married in the satanic world and who have been willing to bring about a revolution in their family lives. The first generation must become one with those who received the prizes and must pass the standard of suffering that they have gone through.

I will soon bless about 21 couples who have been following as couples for over three years. Then I will choose 120 bachelors and the same number of virgins who are all pure. Since the UN has not yet obtained members of 120 nations I will choose and engage them for now, and postpone the actual blessing until later. The UN has already representatives from over 70 member nations; therefore I had to bless 72 couples last year.

My 7-year course has been extended to 21 years. The year 1960 was the 14th year since I set out on my mission. I have had to marry and make a home according to Jacob's course. The remaining years are the period of the restoration of all things. When the 4-year course is over, my 21-year course will be completed. 

Prayer: We Thank You That We Have Come To Participate In The Way Of Your Will

Until now, representing this people, and representing this Korean Peninsula. We have endured and gone forth on this lonely way while shedding tears. How many thousands, how many millions of times have we called out to you from positions of being severely persecuted and ridiculed along that lonely way? We know that each time we called out to you with pierced hearts, you wept, too. We earnestly hope and desire, Father, that you will please have the sons and daughters who are participating here in this place where you are weeping today, participate in the place of the world victory as well, about which we can rejoice in future generations. On the way in front of those who are going this way, there are many enemies. There are also innumerable spiritual enemies. But even if enemies present opposing conditions spiritually and physically along this way

that we are going in relation to your Will, if we have conviction and determination that we will go this way by taking the example of the heart of our father, who has worked so hard, then all of those things will be removed.

We know well that the principle through which you established and guided us until today was like that. We have realized that after God overcame sorrow first, he gave that sorrow to us, and we have realized that after God overcame a position of suffering first, he told us to go through suffering.

Father! The Unification altar, which is centered on the Korean people today, has appeared before this people. It is not by chance that we are able to openly shout out our entire idea through having this kind of environment today. We are able to speak in a free environment while looking up at many people, holding our heads up, and holding our chests out freely today, but please do not let us forget that until we came to exist, God worked very hard for six thousand years, according to that kind of principle.

Isn't it something we should be very grateful about, and isn't it glorious that we are able to walk like this with God on the site of this holy castle? Therefore, please allow us to act while being genuinely grateful to you. Please let us think that our voices, which are crying out, represent the voices of the people of Israel who cried out long ago in the wilderness. Please bless us to be able to go forward while loving, having become heroes of heaven who are advancing into places where arrows, persecution, and bombs are falling, while carrying heaven on our backs, carrying history on our backs, carrying the Kingdom of Heaven of hope on our backs, embracing the true world. Earnestly hoping this, we have prayed all these things in the name of the beloved Lord. Amen.

True Parents' Day and True Parents

Originally, the idea of True Parents' Day was the central idea in God's concept of the creation. After creating all things, God created human beings to rule over them. The purpose for which God blessed human beings to take dominion over all things was none other than to establish True Parents.

Originally, Adam and Eve would have become True Parents by uniting with each other centered on God; then, Parents' Day would have been established and the entire universe would have sung praises in the name of the Universal Parents. Thus, True Parents' Day should have been a day of joy with the entire universe singing praises together in the name of the Parents. It was God's deepest desire that this day be celebrated. Due to the Fall of the first human ancestors, however, heaven and earth never saw this True Parents' Day. Thus, God has never ceased working to realize His original plan for True Parents' Day. Before we can celebrate True Parents' Day, however, we must first receive True Parents. The True Parents are the central beings. They must judge history, rule over the present and pioneer the future. The desire of people throughout history has also been to receive such True Parents.

Why are we trying to restore a people? We are creating a people to attend the victorious True Parents and to attend them truly by realizing a free heaven and earth as sons and daughters of filial piety. The True Parents will appear before the entire cosmos on a national foundation that can stand on behalf of heaven, earth and all humankind without accusation from the satanic world. Until now we have attended True Parents only in sorrow and pain, but from now on we should attend them in joy and in freedom. When God can dwell within our hearts, only then, when we are joyful, will God be able to say, "Yes, your joy is my joy!" We should also establish a standard by which all people can say, "What you are grateful for, we are grateful for!" Today is True Parents' Day. Only when you truly establish True Parents' Day as your own True Parents' Day, your own family's True Parents' Day, society's True Parents' Day, and the nation's True Parents' Day will it be established as the global True Parents' Day. Only when you establish it as the global True Parents' Day and then the cosmic True Parents' Day will God's original ideal of creation to establish True Parents be completed; only then will there be relief from the sorrow that came from being unable to establish True Parents' Day due to the Fall.

Furthermore, only when we establish True Parents' Day throughout all of heaven and earth will the sorrow of restoration be completely removed. Even though we have established True Parents' Day and True Children's Day, we have not established True Parents' Day on the levels of an individual, a family, a people, a nation, the world and the cosmos. The same is true for True Children's Day, and for the Day of All True Things. Only when we have developed to the point where we can be governed by the standard in which True Parents' Day, True Children's Day, and the Day of All True Things have globally triumphed will God's original purpose of creation be completed. Only then will True Parents' Day finally become True Parents' Day for all humankind and at the same time True Parents' Day for Heaven itself. In the same way, True Children's Day and the Day of All True Things will be True Children's Day and the Day of All True Things both for all humankind and for Heaven. When we have reached such a position, then the time will have finally come when God can say that everything has finally been accomplished. We must establish True Parents' Day, True Children's Day and the Day of All True Things on all levels from the individual, through the family, peoples and nations. Only when we have established these days on the level of one nation can they become the central days of the nation and of the entire world. This is the issue.

Our responsibilities

You are each walking the path of restoration as an individual, but you are not walking it individually. You are always walking that path on behalf of True Parents. Otherwise, you will not be able to prepare True Parents' victorious foundation at the tribal, ethnic, or national levels. For you to proceed correctly on behalf of True Parents, if True Parents are going out to establish the worldwide spiritual standard of victory, you should go out to establish the national standard of victory. You should know this clearly. Now that True Parents' standard of victory is established spiritually, it must be established on earth. You are going beyond the level of one people, carrying out True Parents' responsibility on their behalf. To explain this from another viewpoint, you are going over the national level towards the worldwide level, to spiritually establish the cosmic standard of victory. The Lord, who is coming as the True Parents for us, has to spiritually pioneer the cross we must bear, achieve substantial victory and take responsibility for everything. This is the difficult aspect of restoring parents.

Looking at heaven, earth, and humankind, has Heaven ever been able to attend the victorious True Parents? Heaven could not yet do so. Has the earth been able to attend them? It has not yet been able to do so. Has humankind been able to attend them? They have not been able to, but they are now on the way to doing so.

Then, is it enough just to attend True Parents? It is not. After attending True Parents, you need to restore a true family, a tribe, a people, a nation, and the world. The people of Israel were prepared for this. To stand before True Parents as true children, the children's course of individual-level restoration, course of family-level restoration, course of tribal-level restoration, course of ethnic-level restoration and course of national-level restoration are to be accomplished. Through the completion of the parents' course of restoration for the individual, family, tribe, people and nation and the children's course of restoration for the individual, family, tribe, people and nation, the standard of parents and children having become one and victorious is established. Only after this can we finally conclude national-level restoration and make a fresh start toward the global level.

Then, what is the mission of the Unification Church and in what kind of position are you who have joined the church? You have been called into the Unification Church, of which I am the central figure. You are in the position of having to horizontally and physically develop what has been a sorrowful six thousand years of vertical history. What kind of resolution do we have to make? What is the goal we must aim for? We must establish the nation of True Parents on a worldwide foundation. We must establish the worldlevel nation of True Parents.

We must eliminate the remaining sorrow, pain and tears of the world as soon as possible. This is the responsibility and mission of our Unification Church. You are now on the path you are meant to follow. You should not turn to look back, either with your heart or with your body, as the Israelites did when they were on their way to Canaan. What is the hope we should harbor? We should have the sincere hope to be able to truly attend the True Parents who are coming to earth on behalf of God. In attending them, we should not desire to attend them when the victorious foundation is already laid and all people have come to admire and respect them; rather, we should desire to attend True Parents as they pass through history's sorrowful course. Our ancestors are deeply pained that they were unable to attend the True Parents who have walked through the sorrowful course of history. All humankind harbors the hope of being able to sincerely attend True Parents. Thus, you must become true sons and daughters of filial piety who attend them from a miserable situation rather than trying to attend them from a glorious position. To be such true sons and daughters of filial piety, even in difficulty, despair and misery that makes one cry out, we should be able to say, "Dear God, dear God who is guiding me, True Parents are walking the path of the cross of suffering that is more severe than that of Jesus. As someone who attends True Parents, I therefore accept any kind of heavy cross as a matter of course. I praise that, so please, God, do not worry on account of me."

I am saying that we, on our own, should be able to indemnify the worries, pain, and sorrow that reach us, instead of giving them to God to bear. Only then can we be engrafted, on the individual level, to the parents' individual victory. Currently, our Blessed Families are spread throughout Korea. Why have I spread the Blessed Families out everywhere in Korea? God works with the thirty million people of the Korean race and the entire Korean peninsula, and True Parents are coming to the thirty million Korean people and the Korean peninsula.

The entire Korean peninsula of three thousand ri – every village, valley, mountain and field – desires to attend the coming True Parents. Serving True Parents is the desire of all people in history. You, as children, should establish the individual and family standard of indemnity and become substantial representatives of True Parents. You should be people whom those in the village want to serve without any regret. Of course, the True Parents are in the center and make a spiritual relationship with everyone. Since there is only one set of True Parents, however, they cannot relate with everyone personally. That is why the Blessed Families are the representatives of True Parents and stand in the position to relate with all people. True Parents have the responsibility to go over this nation and bear the cross on the worldwide level. Therefore, the cross of the people should be carried by the Blessed Families who live locally as true children of True Parents. All Blessed Families must serve as the foundation of a tribe and of a people in order for the works of Heaven to gain victory based on such a people.
