My Course Prior to Becoming the True Parents

For there to be True Parents there must be two people. Without two people, we cannot meet the standard of True Parents. Although a victorious standard may be established in the spiritual battle, no victorious standard can be established in the physical world unless True Parents manifest in physical form. A condition for victory may be created in the spirit world, but a corresponding foundation cannot be laid on earth unless True Parents are first installed there. Therefore, the True Parents who are to come must fight for this on behalf of earth and heaven by offering their lives. This battle will last for a forty-year period. What kind of battle do the Parents who come during this forty-year period have to go through? First of all, they must go through spiritual trials in the spirit world. Then, they must go through physical tribulation on earth. The combined spiritual and physical conditions for the True Parents cannot be established until they pass through these trials and are able to stand in the center without falling down. In so doing, they fulfill the hopes of the six-thousand-year history of God's providence.

We established Parents' Day in 1960. What kind of day was that? It was the day when we secured the starting point of total victory, both physically and spiritually; this day also marked the starting point of True Parents' ideology. So although that day was just one day, and the conditions for this day are not completely established, these conditions will continue on into the future of heaven and earth. Beginning from that day, God has been able to execute His plan simultaneously in both the spiritual and physical worlds. In other words, God could finally fight back now that the basis was established upon which there could be cooperation with the spirit world. Since the foundation for victory has been laid in this way, we simply need to build a corresponding foundation on the level of family, tribe, people, nation, and world.

Due to the opposition of the people of Israel, Jesus went to paradise without completing his mission. Since then, he has been able to bring Israel together spiritually in the role of spiritual parent. The course, whereby True Parents can establish the worldwide foundation of victory on earth, is a four-year course. When the spiritual and physical worlds unite and establish the starting point of victory during this fouryear course, all humankind will receive the benefit of the age such that they can march into the spirit world above paradise. However, the True Parents who come as we pass through this historical course must bear the cross on behalf of humankind at the levels of individual, family, people, nation and world.

If we look at the history of the people of Israel, we see that Jacob could establish the conditions for individual restoration because he was victorious in the individual struggle with Esau. Later on, he could have a family because with God's help he had prevailed in the family-level struggle at Laban's house. Afterwards, Jacob's descendants entered Egypt, the satanic world, in order to create a people. They were rescued from there with God's help and were then able to enter Canaan and gain victory over its seven tribes. In this way, the Israelites could finally attack the satanic world while going through the forty-year course for the restoration of Canaan. Prior to the forty-year wilderness course there was a three-day course. The Israelites were finally able to begin the restoration of Canaan after going through this threeday course. Moreover, after entering Canaan, the Israelites had to restore the number forty once more.

Since the providence of restoration has passed through such courses, I have to walk a three year course and a four year course after going through a forty year course. Adding the three year course and the four year course together gives you a seven year course. I will be able to bring the history of restoration to a conclusion and establish the heavenly sovereignty only when I pass through all of these courses.

Originally, Jesus also was to have walked a seven-year course from the era of thirty-three and then established the standard of parents desired by God. He was to establish the standard for the restoration of all things, thereby concluding everything and fulfilling God's will at the age of forty. Although this was the mission of Jesus, the Will remained unfulfilled because Jesus died on the cross without being able to accomplish it. Since the True Parents, the Second Coming, must inevitably take responsibility for the internal and external conflicts, they have passed through a forty year preparation period, a period of conflict. Although externally it was a forty year period of preparation, internally it was a period of strife. After having laid the spiritual foundation for victory, the groundwork for laying the substantial foundation combining the spiritual and physical was finally prepared on earth.

True Parents must be the central figures in going through the three year course and the period of the restoration of all things – that is, a four year course to embrace all four directions. In this way, they must bring restoration through indemnification to a conclusion through this seven year course. The three-year course, four year course, and forty year course prior to establishing True Parents may seem like short courses, yet they are time periods designed to reverse, through indemnity, all historical sorrows, historical resentments, and the historical cross as a whole. We cannot welcome the day of the victory of True Parents without first establishing an absolute standard of not succumbing to any historical sorrow, pain or resentment. This is why our Unification Church, which is taking responsibility for and is upholding God's will on behalf of Heaven and True Parents, is volunteering to take on this kind of trial. In undergoing this process, you must not only separate yourself from the satanic world, but also establish the standard of a true child whereby you can adopt the model of victory of True Parents and be able to judge the satanic world.

Also, the original will of God in relation to True Parents cannot be realized on the earth until this standard is established at the level of a tribe, a people and a nation. You who are fighting on my side during this period are representatives of True Parents on the individual, family, ethnic and national levels. As such representatives of True Parents, it is your responsibility to fight on the world stage, not to mention in Korea. From this perspective, what has been the sorrow of both the spiritual and physical worlds until now? It should have been that from the day True Parents appeared on earth, heaven and earth should have sung songs of peace, the entire cosmos should have entered the realm of happiness, and the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth should have been be realized with God at its center.

Prayer: Please Let We Become a Movement Which Remains By Having Endured and Endured

It is regrettable and lamentable that you have to go forward with a sorrowful heart.

You are a being to be pitied. You are a being who has been mistreated. We know that human beings have at least a way to betray you and turn their backs on you, but since you do not have a way to betray us or to turn your back on us, you have gone on and on. We dare to say we know well the way of our father who has no need of the word "retreat". How anxious, how serious, how pressed your mind must be! Wanting to become genuine sons and daughters of filial piety, and faithful subjects and virtuous women, we have knelt down and bowed our heads before you. Please allow us to become sons and daughters who are able to repent for the past when we were not able to appeal to you asking to become like parts of garments or like rocks that are able to go the way of the cross.

The lonely Unification movements in each area are appealing to you, Father. They know your commands. We know that you are in the frustrating situation of having to urge and spur their footsteps along their way, even though they know the course they must go. We know that the people who endure and remain at that point will be blessed by you, Father, but those who fall away will be accused by later generations, and will lament. Father, please let us have bold and courageous minds, and please allow us to become a movement which remains to the end having endured and endured.

We also know that your steps as you go are faster than we can imagine. Your mind is such that if we have done a thousand things, you want to order us to do ten thousand. We know that your mind is such that you are looking for sons and daughters who stand in a position of being able to be helped by you. We earnestly hope and desire that you will allow us to become genuine sons and daughters in relation to the Will, and to be able to genuinely receive everything that you have told us today.

In order to find you, we will have to become sons and daughters of filial piety, and in order to find that nation, we will have to become loyal subjects and virtuous women. That idea is holy, but the way we go is one of misery. The content is beautiful, but it has appeared as a path of death. It has been a path on which we had to have hope inside even while going the path of death. As you are doing that, we, who are your children, have to do that, and as you are going that kind of way, we, too, must go that kind of way of destiny. Therefore, please let us not become exhausted along this road, have indefatigable hearts, and be decided as the final victors. Please let us become a movement which remains by persevering and enduring until the day when we can receive the blessing, the day of rest when you can say, "You have now won the victory; you belong to me, and all heaven and earth belong to you, who are my sons and daughters." We earnestly hope that you will allow us to become a movement which participates in the suffering until we greet that day. We have humbly prayed all these things in the name of the Lord. Amen.

Fight on using your conscience as your teacher

You came from all different provinces to attend this 40-day workshop here at headquarters and we have already come to the end.

You are all about to return to your hometowns. Before you go, however, you must know the difference within your environment as people who now know God's will compared to your past selves that didn't. You must realize this.

Establish the True Standard

Considering the view you held when you came here and your view as you leave now, have you become individuals that can stand on Heaven's side representing the world and your past selves? Unlike your past selves, which could not be trusted, have you become people that can be trusted now? Can you now reveal yourselves in front of the world and Heaven unlike in the past, when you could not do that in all environments?

Considering this general problem, you should now have the conviction to reveal yourselves in this light. There is a big difference between your past selves when you came here and your present selves as you leave now. You must understand that the path you take will greatly depend on how much more you realize, the standard of your realization, the scope of your realization or the degree of your realization. You must first understand that.

Now back to the point.... You lived as you pleased before you came here. However, you did not know how indescribably unfortunate you were. Yet, you certainly lived with the heart desiring to entrust your life, to believe what others do not believe in, to possess what others do not have and to give something to others through you within life.

In the past, when you didn't know God's will, you may have thought of a faith you wanted to believe in, something you wanted to boast about, leave behind or show to others; you may have had such thoughts. Were you able to achieve that? You were not able to do that.

You will now be able to fathom a bit more about the world when you look at it. You will realize that the world you lived in before was one that you could not trust. That faith you asserted as great and trustable changes with time and circumstances. Even something you wanted to show and boast about changed with time and circumstances. They all ended up going away because they were incapable of leaving an eternal life connection behind as time flowed by.

You may learn more, desire something and completely dedicate yourselves into something. Yet, when you realize that you cannot find anything that relates to the eternal immense value within you that brings joy to the mind and surroundings, you will understand how unfortunate you are.

However, the mind endlessly instructs us to move higher because we are in a low position -- to a place a bit better than here, a better place.... The mind keeps instructing you to become a person that many people in a town can respect, to go beyond the standard of what is considered good there and if living in a township, to become a good person within that township. Even if you had attained the standard of what is considered good in that township, your mind would instruct you to become a person that can go beyond that standard.

Even if you were to pass the standard upheld in a district -- let us say you already did that -- your mind would keep instructing you to represent the country and furthermore the world. It keeps growing. It infinitely grows. Such a mind will stimulate you, secretly giving you directions, even if you are unaware of certain definite truths in life, and thereby a surging feeling develops within you. We cannot deny this and we know that we have led a life following a destiny that we cannot get away from no matter what.

You must understand how precious is that connection of the mind that longs for us to become better individuals or ones that shine both in heaven and on earth. You must know how precious this is. You must understand that the conscientious being that admonishes you through the mind is precious.

The Conscience and Betterment

What should you take with you as you go back to your hometowns? How will you fill the difference between your past selves with which you came and your present selves as you depart? God's will is great. Ideology is great. Of course you must stand on that standard, but for God's will and this ideology to become yours, you must unite God's will and the realization of this hope on the foundation of your conscience, which is deep in your mind. It will not work if you do not set up this standard first.

A place where the mind is alive and giving instructions is where God's will and ideology are alive. In the past, you were not even aware of such actions of the conscience and you did not know how to listen to the instructions of this desire that we were supposed to listen to as people born in the true image. You did not know what this was.

You did not know that it is endlessly instructing us in this manner to make us grow into the people we are supposed to become.

As you are about to leave, what must you fill that difference with? You must fill it with your conscience. You must set up this standard through it. If you can properly love the world based on the conscience, you can become friends with the world. A person that can love the country based on the conscience can become friends with a patriot that loves the country through the conscience.

If you can become people that can love heaven and earth through the conscience, you are in a position that can move God. In other words, you can be a friend to God based on that conscientious standard. This is us and the immense blessed foundation we have is the foundation of the conscience.

Then how long have you lived with this foundation of the conscience? When you think about it, you realize that you do not have any memories of having lived centered on your conscience in the past. You do not remember any.

Then, what was your past life? You respected your own value, but what was it about? We look hack and realize that we deviated from the conscience and that we were traitors to the conscience, which is a leader among leaders and a friend that guides us toward the immense ideology of goodness. As you now leave, it is important that you have the firm conviction that you will mercilessly start admonishing your past selves starting from here. You must be able to discover this difference.

You must widely diverge from your past selves centered on the mind and the conscience. From now on, the world I am going to is not the heavenly kingdom. Based on the standard of the conscience measured here, if you have quite a difference from your past selves, the path that I must find is not one that goes to a life in the kingdom of heaven.

When you do wrong, no leader will say, "Hey, you swine" and punch you or punish you. Everything around you is wide open. You can go to the east, west, south and north. All directions are wide open. It is like going to a place where a door to freedom is opened.

It would have been great if the open environment in all directions protected us and had a friendly relationship with the conscience; however, the problem is that it doesn't. At every single door stands the face of an enemy ready to push you and knock you down. It may seem as though you have paved the way well, but as you go along, you get caught and die.

You probably see this quite often in a farming area. In order to catch a duck.... Many ducks will be coming because it is now duck season. In order to catch a duck, you must set up a bait ducks like. You must pave well the way to catch it.

That is how it is. The environment that we see appears to be more than just what it is naturally. It appears to be more than the reality that we relate to. If you continue moving in that manner, however, know that you will end up hitting a trap and get caught in it.

We must now understand what the conscience is. What is the conscience?

What happens here is that this connection between me and others does not become stronger; instead the relationship becomes distant. A person that keeps living centered on the mind cannot help but be in such position. A person that calls for the conscience and goes out to look for something true centered on the standard of the conscience will find the complicated relationships of the world.... No relationship has the internal condition that harmonizes with the conscience; each brings pain to the conscience and only has elements that destroy the conscience. For this reason, conscientious people feel the original desire to avoid people of the world.

A person that has attended someone that cannot change for eternity is a happy person. What will you do? The conscience maneuvers from behind to push you to look for a position in which you can believe, in which you can be truly taught and one in which you can lead a true life. You will know from now on.

We struggled until now having such a conscience with us. However, has our conscience been able to find that true and trustable something that it has longed for? Please answer that yourselves. Until now, from behind in our lives, the conscience has been pressing us and ordering us countless times to find that one thing we can believe in. Despite such efforts, our past selves were unable to find it then. Now, that we have been able to set up the conscience and look through it, have you found that something the conscience is looking for as its hope and as something it can trust? Have you found it? A person that finds it is a happy person.

The conscience is looking for that path of learning that becomes even greater the more you hear of it and the more you learn about it. This is the best thing that I wanted to learn. What would have happened had I not known this? Not knowing this is even more fearful than death. All of you here can learn about this. Have you ever learned about it? If you haven't, you should learn it.

The conscience wishes to live such a life. You must take responsibility to live that life. Based on this, you will want to fight in this manner. You must take responsibility over an environment in which you can fight.

If you have an unchanging center of hope that you can trust, learn from, live with and fight with, you are a happy person. You are certainly not a lonely person. You are not lonely even when you are alone. Do you understand? Did you find that? What is it?

Participants of the fourteenth workshop, I have met people from all the provinces. Even though you have thought until now that you have attended your parents, you did not believe them. You lived with your siblings, but you did not believe them. You would be a happy person if you could become one with a person that your conscience longed for and trusted, a person that could teach you, a person that could live with you, fight alongside you and walk with you for eternity toward the immense ideology that would delight the world and move the world to achieve the true purpose of goodness.

Who is that person? The person is not a historical figure. It is neither a historical figure nor the head of any religion. Of course, there are aspects that correspond with religious founders, but it is God, the first center of the existence of the universe. The best central being that you have wanted to live with and believe in is God. The best central being you have wanted to learn from is God. It is God, the best being, with whom you want to judge everything that is evil and establish the ideology of goodness. Do you understand what this means? We have discovered God. Now your conscience has what is needed to assert that it has discovered this.

Seeing that we have established a relationship centered on the conscience, which we can trust, which can truly teach an individual like me, which can live with me and which will always be with me for eternity for the sake of the purpose of goodness, we are now absolute beings. We are beings that evil cannot violate. How great would it be if that were so? How great it is that we have discovered this God. By discovering this Heaven, the center, in resolving everything, also came to be established.

God and Humans; Mind and Body

You have discovered God, but how is your relationship with God? We have an inseparable, father -- child relationship with God. Can you understand this conviction? God is the father and you the children. This instruction comes to you through your mind. When your mind instructs you, the instruction of your mind is like a father instructing a child.

This is related to the body -- mind relationship. If the mind is the father, the body becomes the child. Then the mind and body are like a house in which both father and child live. The body is in the position of the son in front of the conscience, which is in the position of the father. Do not forget this relationship. Do no forget this wherever you go.

As you establish a relationship with God, you must know that our Father is with you in everything you love, where you want to live and in your fight for goodness. The owner of my mind is our Father and the center of my mind is our Father; hence, you must become one with our Father. You should understand that the mind is in front of me representing our Father. Within this ideological realm, I am receiving instructions from the position of a son; hence, it is the heavenly way for the son to obey those instructions. If you only do this well, I can confidently say that no one will be able to snatch you away.

Set up your conscience, preserve it, build our Father's house. Once the conscience, which is completely one with our Father, loves you like a child, you will gain victory wherever you go. What hope has the mind longed for? Beyond the standard that can truly understand God's hope and circumstances is the deep heart of the conscience. This heart is not loved by the conscience alone, but also by the body, the entire creation within my surroundings and even the tiniest, most insignificant creatures. That a heart remains. This is an absolute element.

The Deep Heart of God Must Remain

What should remain even if all the numerous principles of the world were to disappear or the present system of civilization were to all disappear or all systems of a so-called great society were to disappear or we were to disappear as individuals? The hope on which God created the heavens and earth must remain. That hope must remain. Only the circumstances that relate and unite with God's circumstances as he placed hope in heaven and in those on earth must remain.

Once God's hope and circumstances can be felt and understood fully, only the deep heart by which God can live in joy as a God of happiness must remain. In other words, these three main elements must remain for eternity.

From the view centered on God and the individual, the conscience and I become one and then this conscience, which is united with God, will be in the position of a Father to the body, representing God. Hence, when the mind instructs you, the body must possess the principle that it is receiving these instructions from the position of a son and fight using that principle. When you fight from now on, hope exists when you look at it through the conscience, the body and even through God. Nothing that exists on earth does not have hope centered on a purpose.

That is why there is hope. Though the hopes of God, the conscience, one's life, the world and creation all differ, they all possess a connection binding all creatures, which were created through one unified ideology or one emotion of the creator.

The world exists within one realm of the universe. Seeing how they became entangled with one another through connections, we may not be aware of it or the recipients themselves may not be aware of it, but the purpose of their hopes is all connected through the connection of Heaven.

That is why the hopes of God, of my conscience, of my body, of my life and of the world must all be one. When the hope of my conscience is achieved under such unity, God's hope becomes fulfilled too. When my conscience is joyful, my body also achieves its hope. That is where the fulfillment of the hopes of all existing creatures on earth takes place.

Hence, what must remain for eternity is God's hope to achieve one world. Centered on one world, God has this immense ideology of creation, one in which his circumstances and that of the entire creation are naturally united and one in which he wants to love them. Therefore, what is that something that must remain for eternity, that something that we must leave behind even if we are to go? Hope. What is that something we must leave behind? Circumstances. What else must we leave behind? Deep heart. These three must remain for eternity.

From this perspective, what we must ponder as we go hack.... If we ask, God, has your hope been fulfilled? God will say, no. If we ask, Are your circumstances now understood? No.

When it comes to your deep heart, God, are you in a position through which you can be joyful? No.

In this way, we come to understand what God is like. God has become such a God. God wants to fulfill his hope, but he does not have an environment in which his circumstances can be understood and be relatable. Nor is he in a position through which he can enjoy glory from a true life through his deep heart. What kind of God is God? He is a miserable God. God is miserable. God is indeed miserable.

The sorrowful and bitter historical connection of the providence of restoration and salvation has remained as it is; God has not been able to dispel it; he couldn't dispose of it as he pleased and had to move forward with it. How miserable is that? The contents of the God-centered hope, circumstances and heart must remain in comparison to the conscience and body. Has the hope of the conscience been fulfilled? No. None of the hopes have been fulfilled.

How did all this happen? The Divine Principle teaches us about this. It teaches about what God's hope, circumstances and deep heart are. What should happen, then, to you as people who have learned the Divine Principle?

What does your conscience want to say? What does God want to say? What words does the body or the entire creation long to hear? Achieving God's hope is what all of them want, the same thing. What will happen after achieving God's hope? Everything must then become one with God's circumstances. Following this, all beings must understand and unite with God's deep heart. That is the final answer. The person who is one with God's hope, circumstances and deep heart is the most precious person.

Then who is the most precious person to the entire world and to all existing beings? What is the most precious thing? When we consider this, we realize that no other person can be more precious than the person who fulfills God's hope, relates with God's circumstances and has God's deep heart within him or her. In relation to such a person, the Bible says that one life is bigger than the universe.

A person that is in this position is a great person. No matter how great the past may be, this person cannot be exchanged for history. No matter how great all the thoughts that appeared on earth may be, this person cannot be exchanged for those thoughts, even if all those thoughts were offered for him or her. These principles and thoughts do not have the content that can exist for the sake of God's hope, nor do they have the content that can comfort God's circumstances and deep heart. Hence, even if they were given in exchange, the swap could not be made.

What kind of person is Heaven looking for? What kind of country is Heaven looking for? What kind of world is Heaven looking for? What kind of universe is Heaven looking for? God is looking for a person that can become one with God's hope, circumstances and deep heart and he is looking for a family that can unite with such a person. He is looking for a society, country and world that can unite with such a family. Achieving such things is the path life must follow and is what God must do.

Considering this point, what kind of world do we live in? It has fallen. The ideal world could not be achieved because of the Fall. A world that has not reached this ideal should be cut off and the continuum must be adjusted to reach a world that can attain that ideal. In order to turn it, the direction that went that way must now be turned this way.

What was the reason behind God's existence until now? God has existed for the entire world. Imagine how difficult it would have been for God, who existed for this entire world, to try to change the world.

Just because God is powerful does not mean he can act as he pleases. There should be no basis on which God can he accused. Simply put, since God has established the laws himself, he must not be caught breaking them. Even if one were the president, he or she must act within the laws that as president he or she enacted. Otherwise, the president would be caught and accused. The citizens would all rise and say "Who do you think you are?" The president will be quite helpless.

Isn't that correct?

In the same way, for God to fix what has been going in the wrong direction so that it goes in the right one, he should have a heart that can resolve and remedy what had been formed while everything went in the wrong direction. In order to turn back all at once everything that had formed and piled up from one age to another for six thousand years as a result of going in the wrong direction, a sudden power must be implemented. However, this power must be greater than the power that had led the past six thousand years in the opposite direction in order to have some kind of effect.

God is doing work of this type. Isn't God miserable? We now realize that it is God whom we must believe in, who truly teaches us, lives with us for eternity and allows us to live in the garden of love for eternity. Then what kind of Father is he? He is a father experiencing in full the vicissitudes of hope, circumstances and deep heart.

How, then, has God been living until now? God's heart has never been free of these two syllables -- worry. God has always lived in anxiety and has always carried worry with him. Even if you are a man carrying God's will in your heart and having hope for God's will, you cannot avoid worrying until the environment in which this hope can be fulfilled is prepared.

Let's Resolve God's Anxiety

As unified soldiers, you now face your destiny of marching to all parts of South Korea. As your teacher, who is guiding you, I am also responsible to march forward.

Then what is the substance of that destiny to which God, you and I must go? We are all going to bring liberation from this anxiety. When we get to liberate Korea from this anxiety, we'll see that the substance of that anxiety is God's anxiety. God's anxiety is conveyed to the human conscience and the conscience ends up being anxious. We have longed for a true person that has become one with the conscience. Because this person stands on the standard of the conscience that the body yearns for, the body, which relates to this standard of the conscience, cannot help also becoming anxious. This then spreads from one family to a nation and then to the world. We should not forget that we live in a world of anxiety.

What kind of person is a patriot? A person who is more anxious about a country than any other person is a patriot. What kind of people are God's sons and daughters? A person who thinks of only living well despite God's suffering is not God's son or daughter. A person who worries from the same position as God's and fights to resolve problems at all costs is God's son or daughter.

When it comes to a principle or thought, what kind of person can lead that principle or thought into its future? The person that is the most worried about that principle or thought is the kind that can lead it. The same applies to Korea. What kind of person do you think will rule this country among future descendants? If through you comes a descendant that worries about the Korean people more than any other person does, your descendant will rule this people.

When a country has many people who look at the world from the point of view of God's will or look at heaven and earth from the point of view of a particular ideology and worry more than anyone else does, based on such views, taking the initiative to resolve these global problems themselves, the country will never collapse. Even if sovereignty was to be broken at once and Korea's territory violated, as long as a people with this ideology remain alive, the country will reverse history. The time for such people is coming.

With such a conviction, you have the responsibility to take the first step for this people. After this day passes, when you keenly become aware of your destiny to head toward such places the next day, what kind of position will you take? Knowing this solemn mission and knowing that you have pledged yourselves to your part of the mission, as you become increasingly convinced, you should be able to say, I will become this kind of person and become part of a group that can worry about the whole cosmos.

If you cannot fulfill it, ensure that you educate and teach your children from that standpoint. If you cannot fulfill it in your generation, you should leave it as your will to the next generation, the following generation, all the way to the tenth-generation. You should be able to leave a will to your future generations asking them, as their ancestor, to fulfill that mission. If you can leave behind such conviction and ensure that it is accepted and authorized, your descendants will not fail. If this happens, the world will obey you. Why is that? It is because God is a God of worry. From the point when a person takes on God's work, holds on to it and worries in the same way that God does, everything else starts. The place I live in is the actual field where one can resolve God's worry

You now have to all return to your hometowns. When you do, God will say, If your body is not in the right state, worry about your body. If your mind is in a bad mess, worry about your body. If this is not set in your life, worry about it. Here, you should be able to say, Father, do not worry about me. From now on, I will worry about this village instead of you. I will take care of this village.

Before this forty-day workshop, you were unaware of this anxiety. Please go to your towns with the conviction that you are a different person from now on. God's hope is also here; only if his circumstances can also be felt here and his deep heart can dwell within us... When our Father comes to my town, God will make it into a hopeful town. The place I go to within my district will become a place God will visit based on hope, a place his circumstances can be fully felt, a place in which his deep heart is completely immersed and a place where he can rest well for the night. How happy would God be if you had such an ideology.

What, then, does God worry about? God's worry is about how to make you all into his sons or daughters. This is his worry -- how to make the people that were nothing as they lived amidst sin into sons or daughters that can understand the deep heart of the immense creator. Isn't this a cause of worry? It is a cause of worry.

What should be done about me, my family, my town, my township, my district, my province and my country? Going beyond the country, what should be done about the world? You should not forget that we are living on the stage of God's concern.

Even I, as your teacher, have lived for forty years and not once have I forgotten about God's concern. I met numerous enemies in life for the past ten to twenty years. Yet, Heaven looks for people that can worry in accord with the heavenly way.

When looking at this country, which needs to be rebuilt, we need a person that can worry about this country, a person that can worry about it more than a leader and a person that looks at humanity in the same way as God does and that worries about it from God's side. When looking at the world, instead of looking for a global-scale leader, God is looking for a person that can understand God's concerns and care and feel concern for the world for eternity. God is looking for that type of person.

A person that knows how to worry about a family is a person needed in a family. A person that sincerely worries for his neighborhood is a person needed within that neighborhood. In order to become people that are needed, you must be able to worry about those environments. When I say worry, it is not for you to ruin things, but to worry about how to make things stand on the good side. You should become people that know how to worry. Starting from now, you should be able to stimulate yourselves when you see such bitterness and anger and be able to shed tears.

Father, how can you live when you feel this much resentment? This land is in this state now, but a few years from now, I will be able to liberate this land so it is what you have hoped for. God, I will be able to liberate Heaven after a few years. I will take away all your worries about me and resolve everything you worry about regarding my family. I will also resolve what you worry about through my people.

If you can become people with this type of heart, you will never fail even if you are not educated; even if you are poor or are wearing ragged clothes. From here, we need people who can receive permission to feel God's resentment, resume the work and move forward.

The way we each sees things differs -- what we feel, how we speak and act are all different. Then, is there a way to bring about a solution by holding onto or by believing in them? Is there a way to resolve this worry? If there is a way, we must put everything else aside and practice following this path. Isn't that so? If there isn't any other way, you should take on any suffering to connect to that path.

How will you resolve this? Since Heaven has worked hard until now to resolve this, we should be able to be in the same position as God and resolve all bitterness by taking over God's worries. God's hope until now was for humans on earth to fulfill this responsibility and mission. You should become soldiers that resolve God's worries centered on the conscience

Unified soldiers do not need anything else. We do not need anything we have learned or possess, no matter what form it comes in. They are all secondary, in a second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth category. Even if you are naked, what is most important is for you to become children first that can worry instead of God and comfort God saying, Please be patient!

After comforting God, what comes next is living a life of practice -- practice at resolving resentment. If you live a life of practice from there, you will not hear any accusations from Satan on your way.

Be infuriated and lament in front of Heaven and lament over your town saying, I will take the burden you have carried until now instead and will go to that place of hope you desire; please send me!

God will answer, Okay. Go save your town. Save this place. Good! Save your township, your province and your country.

You have learned this from this position. Heaven will set up people that worry about the world, as partners to resolve these global worries. Therefore, we must be determined to become people that can fight for this. We can only advance for this. You must practice your faith based on this standard.

Then, where did this worry arise from? It was caused by the enemy. This damn enemy! This enemy's top stage is the body. Since the body is centered on the self, you must first start by conquering your own selves. This enemy, which is widespread -- in the family, society, nation, world and even the spiritual world -- has been slandering God for six thousand years.

This enemy has been violating Heaven until now; hence, on learning the truth about Heaven's bitterness and worries, we must have the determination and conviction to charge into Satan's general headquarters all together. You must have a strong spirit and become heavenly soldiers that will not falter or retreat when confronted by a fierce battle. If you can become people that practice and train in preparation for the great battle that is to come through daily drills and workouts, starting from the place you go to, as I mentioned before, you will certainly become a person that can understand and feel God's hope and his circumstances and become a foothold for his deep heart.

A lot of time has already passed. I wish I could talk a bit more.... You should raise your conscience and centered on it, believe in our Father, learn from him and live with him; from there, attend Father with whom you will tight. That Father and the conscience must become one. When the two become one, the conscience will order you instead of Father, and the body, as the son, will connect with the deep heart of the father -- child relationship. From that day on, you will embrace God's worries. I am asking you to become soldiers that fight to liberate him from this worry and leave behind for eternity God's hope, circumstances and deep heart. This is the message I want to give you before you depart.

From now on, no other thing than this will remain in you. Please do not forget what I have said today -- please become people that can take responsibility for God's sorrow and fight centered on the conscience.

True Father's Prayer

Father, people had become so evil that you had to put creation in front of them, to offer as offerings. How painful were your circumstances as you gave those orders? How wounded was your deep heart?

We did not know that your hope was in such a disconsolate position. We realize that we have been carrying with us historical sins. Father, we now realize how shameful we are when we look up to heaven, look at the earth and even when we look at ourselves. All participants that have come here have completed their forty-day workshop; soon, they will be heading toward the perilous wilderness. We now understand that everything in the world is in a position that only precipitates aspects of death caused by the enemy. As we must push our way through such an environment, please enable our minds to become one with you, God. We have also learned that we should become concerned people that can resolve this sorrow and resentment centered on the mind. Father, please bless everyone here that are about to go. They may look humble as they go, but please, Father, allow their determined minds deep down to be strong and bold and for them to become owners of their minds. Father, this is our sincere hope and wish.

With 30 million people still asleep and humanity lost within the dark, please use your whip of goodness here.

Please allow us to become sons or daughters that can establish a connection to your hope, circumstances and deep heart and light and defeat the enemy to resolve your unjustified sorrow and bitterness. Please allow us to become heavenly soldiers that can get ready for the era when fights will occur to resolve the sorrow and bitterness of earth, the sorrow and bitterness within the heart of humanity and in that of heaven.

We are sincerely grateful for your grace, which has protected us until now. Father, please accept these substantial selves, who have offered and pledged their remaining lives to your will.

Please stamp your seal and protect us, so that everything may live, die, move and become tranquil amidst the glory you request. I pray this under the Lord's name. Amen.

… Mankind violated the global foundation that God had wanted to establish. We, today, must therefore be aware of the immense sadness God felt. God's desperate heart when he set up historic figures such as Noah and Abraham cannot be expressed in words. God did not set up a historic figure to represent only a people. They were set up to take responsibility for the restoration of not only a people but also for the world. God chooses a central figure from a stance based on history, the era, the future and world history. However, if the chosen person errs, the foundation for global restoration is lost.

If such a mistake were committed, God would have to choose another figure from another generation in order to indemnify the mistake of the previous chosen figure by passing it on to the new figure. God chose people with such a sorrowful heart. We must, therefore, understand that whenever God had to choose a figure under such circumstances, he had to undergo infinite internal pain and external suffering.

In the Bible are parts that forbid us from making pledges. Why does the Bible say so? Furthermore, in conducting his providence, why did God not teach mankind a clear boundary concerning the responsibilities a person can take? You must understand the sorrowful heart God had for not being able to teach this to mankind.

Let us say that a person pledges, I will take this and that responsibility and will complete them within a particular time.

If this person fails to keep his word, the person's failure becomes God's failure. In addition, it becomes the failure of the person's descendants and that of humanity today. Even the purpose of history, in connection to this mistake, becomes a failure.

When it comes to setting up people and conducting the providence, God should be receiving pledges. Yet, he is in a position where he has not been able to do that. Even though he can teach everything and give advice, he has not been able to do so. Can you imagine how great God's predicament has been as a result? You must understand this.

Therefore, when it comes to people that are loyal to God's will, God, more than anything else in the world, wants to live for the sake of such people, wants to boast about them and wants to give everything on earth and in heaven to those people. Unfortunately, God could not do that. Why? When

God chooses and sets up a loyal person, the particular standard God aspires for must be established completely by and only by the standard that God gave to the person. However, the love God bestows is global love; hence, no matter how loyal a person may be, God cannot give anything to the person, even if he wanted to, until the person completely realizes this standard. Therefore, we should be able to attend God, who has been working with heartrending sorrow. We should be able to know God, who has been relating to us with so much pain in his heart.

Then, in what kind of place will we meet God today? This is the problem. Where will you meet God? Most people desire to meet God in a glorious world, in a world filled with happiness and a blessed place where heaven and earth is bestowed on them and they exercise governance over them. This has been the typical desire and hope people have had until now. However, one cannot meet God in such a place.

Where We Truly Meet God

For instance, let us say a father is building a big house. Neither is this father rich nor has he abundant house construction materials. However, he completes the construction after going through all kinds of difficulties; now he has a house everyone envies. On this great day, the father would reflect on his past and think of the difficulties he experienced. The happiness the father feels on this day would be in proportion to the degree of difficulties he had faced; the greater the difficulties, the greater the happiness he feels. His children, however, did not help their father during those hard times; they did not understand their father and distanced themselves from him instead. Now let us say that these children join their father to celebrate this great day together. How would the father treat his children? Would he say, "You are the children I love, so please join me in this celebration today?" On the contrary, he would reminisce on his sorrowful past upon seeing his children. Even if the children were to regret not having helped their father, we already know that they would cause the father much pain and sadness on that great day.

In order to complete the purpose of the entire providence, God, just like this father, immensely suffered and went through infinite pain as he advanced the providence. Unfortunately, the numerous people in the position of children did not collaborate with God. As God overcame hills of difficulties, one after another, he hoped that mankind would work with him. God needed companions.

God cannot surmount those hills without companions. God cannot go beyond a hill representing an individual cross without the companionship of people. In the same way, he cannot go over hills representing a family, a people, a national or a global cross without a companion. God, who is carrying the responsibility of the global cross, cannot go over this hill without a sacrificial substantial being that invests maximum effort with the determination to fulfill his or her filial duty toward God. We must therefore know that God has been hoping for sons and daughters who can work with him because of such a course of restoration.

Someday the purpose of restoration will conclude and God's will for the providence will be realized. When that happens, the day God can truly feel happy will come. How would God feel when he ushers in this day? Not only would he look pathetic from the numerous hardships he had to go through but he would also look wretched and miserable from the pain he received as he suffered by bearing millions and trillions of crosses. You must understand that God had to go through this process in order to welcome this day.

If you are to join him on this day, you must be able to feel God's heartrending sorrow as he underwent hardship all throughout history in order to usher in this one day, to liberate all human beings and to enable human beings to have happy lives, even if you did not directly collaborate with God's work.

You must ready your hearts to weep and be contrite in front of God who has ushered in this day. You should feel angry and repent saying, why didn't I get to know you? How was I unaware of your worried heart?

If you truly repent about your past lives, a condition for God to sympathize with you may materialize. In other words, you should not join God on this great day if you do not have such a heart. That explains the Bible verse Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only lie who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

We are heading forward in order to meet God. Everyone hopes to meet a God of joy; however, we should never forget that God had to go through all kinds of hardships and sorrow to appear as the God of joy.

What God did you attend as you followed the path toward the crucifixion? You should be able to do anything to share in God's sorrow when he is sad, comfort him when he is lonely, lament over his misery, comfort him for the persecutions he suffered, and do everything to carry the cross along that path instead of God. If such sons and daughters exist, God will call them and set them up in front of the entire creation and the entire universe when this joyful day is ushered in. Instead of making this joyful day his, lie would want to make it into his children's. We must be able to understand that this expresses God's heart.

God has been looking for such sons and daughters for this reason and has been hoping for siblings, families, nations the world and the cosmos= to fill with such children. As people who understand this and stand on the frontline of restoration work, we must know the immensity of the responsibility we carry. To become children that attend such a God, humanity must desire to attend God and we must treat all human beings as brothers and sisters. Become models in attending God and set up at least a condition by which humanity can comfort God and have the desire to dissolve God's sadness. A person with those qualities is God's son or God's daughter.

Toward the Day of Accomplishment

No greater prize, hope, praise or happiness is possible than when meeting God. When God conies to me when I am sad, that meeting place is one of infinite happiness. To go to the position where God suffers and meet him there is to be in a place of infinite happiness.

When Jesus died on the cross, God came down to the cross and heavenly soldiers and angels bowed their heads, participating in the sorrow. However, Jesus knew that God overcame internal pain in his heart to usher in the day and set Jesus up in that position. He was well aware of how great God's sorrow was as a result of God's having no other choice but to send Jesus to that place. That is why Jesus prayed in Matthew 26.39, "My Father.... not as I will, but as you will." Through this, Jesus understood God's internal heart and established the standard of that heart on earth.

Therefore, we do not meet God only in joyful circumstances. To meet God in sad circumstances is truly meeting God. We must be able to comfort God in sorrowful circumstances, protect him realistically and in his place eliminate the environment of the cross. What God, who has been looking for his children, has been hoping for is that. We can understand that position after God has realized everything.

Everyone looks forward to the time God will call his sons and daughters and usher in this joyful day after having accomplished everything; however, God desires to meet people in wretched circumstances, which is not an aspect that all people desire. Today, as you follow the path of restoration, you must bear in mind that you live to attend God. No matter what happens to the world -- one's environment, one's body one's circumstances -- you must be determined to attend God and think that it is your fate.

No one on earth has fought hard with a mind determined to resolve the sorrow and resentment that our ancestors, who had betrayed God, carried alone. Therefore, God is trying to save human beings who are becoming Satan's prisoners. In other words, God is protecting us from Satan's arrows. You must be able to experience this truth. When receiving an award at a particular church event or receiving praise for something, you must not delight in it. You must understand that God, who relates to the countless people on earth and in heaven, desires to bless all people. You must think of creative ways that can enable all people to receive blessings. You must be able to say, "Even if I have something worth praising, I do not want to receive any praise. I still have to head forward because the path of restoration is still not completed. I hope to see God happy and God's face filled with smiles on the day his will is achieved."

There is no higher prize, hope, praise or joy than seeing God. Only a person who has followed this path can be called a person who has fulfilled the responsibility of a true devoted son. Hence, we all act, walk and fight in order to meet God. Wouldn't sadness exist along the path over which we remove all crosses in front of humanity and comfort God's sorrowful heart? This path is the course of restoration on a global level. You should yearn to meet God. God's hope and intention is my hope and intention: the path God wants to follow is the path I must follow.

How God Views Humanity

You must be able to experience God's sorrowful heart when mankind became separated from God six thousand years ago because of the Fall. Looking back on our history, full of sorrow and resentment, we realize that humanity has been groaning in sorrow. However, we must realize that God has been suffering in more sorrow than has humanity from seeing human beings acting sinfully within the satanic realm.

How did our ancestors end up forming a history with so much sorrow and resentment? Has there been anyone who grieved over the fury and injustice of this history or anyone who fought alongside God against this historical resentment? From the beginning, God and our good ancestors have fought against this resentment. I was born to convey the tradition of God and the good ancestors. I was born to convey that ideology and thought. Hence, you must have a heart yearning for this new world. Whenever you look at the wretched reality, you must realize that God had to carry the responsibility to pave the way in this unfortunate and wretched reality. So this way was God's path.

When you see something sad, you must be able to feel the heart of God who had shed tears before the person suffering in sadness. When you go to a certain city to witness, you must be able to ask with tears welling in your eyes, "Where am I going, Father? What kind of person will I meet? Will I meet Satan? I will go as your child and take responsibility over the district. I will advance as your soldier. I will go to preserve the duties of true life." You should be able to have that attitude. You must be able to pave the true way.

The weeds within the satanic world must be pulled out. Based on the victorious condition you establish on earth, you make them into people of Heaven and must be able to offer those results. We are now living in an age when words such as offering God an entire city can come true. Hence, you must desire, representing this people, to save people that can become offerings through your efforts. When God relates to a person, he does so from this perspective. Externally you may look insignificant and valueless, but from the internal perspective that admires God's heart, your every move carries grave significance.

For 120 years, Noah was completely loyal to God, going up a mountain regardless of what people thought. These acts of Noah's became a condition by which eternal happiness could be returned to Heaven. Even though he worked alone and shed sweat, his hard work, from the perspective that the grieving world has been hoping for that one day of liberation, brought about indescribable happiness. God comes to man- kind with such a hopeful heart and tells us to prepare for that one day of hope.

For whom are you following this path? It is to meet God. How should you follow this path to meet God? You must start with God, go with God and live in a place you want to stay with God.

Have we ever been able to meet God or attend God in our lives? We have not been able to attend God in our lives. God, however, is not one who has eschewed the world. He is working to save the unfortunate people in the world and the numerous children, moaning within the bosom of the enemy. God has been conducting his pioneering mission in this death-like world for this one joyful day. You must therefore be able to have the conviction that you are living in such an arena. You must not only live with such conviction, you must also have the heart to live a life that brings the enemy to submission and resolves God's resentment and sorrow. Only people who live and fight with such a mind- set can meet God and attend God in their lives.

God Gives Our Lives Value

If you meet God after you have worked hard and achieved a certain goal, God lawfully becomes your authorized Father. For this reason, you must live and attend God within the living realm of coexistence with God, even in places where you shed blood and tears. You should be able to work with God, fight with God, eat and live with God.

God's cross does not sadden him, because he does not live self-centeredly. He lives for all people and for his children. Therefore, you must not feel sad because of your cross and must not live for yourself. You must live for all people.

Therefore, in the process of following God's will, you must not feel grateful and happy alone regarding opportunities ahead of you and welcoming environments. Instead, whenever you come across that type of environment, you must be able to yearn for those days when you tear- fully prayed in front of God in narrow and gruesome places. By doing so, God can dwell with you. The more you advance in this manner, the more you will find helping hands and help from prophets. God dwells in such places. The time you work under such circumstances will remain valuable throughout your lives.

When you pledge that you believe in God, you will long for those days when you appealed to God in gruesome places and held on to God with the conviction that you have not come all this way alone and will certainly not fail. Whenever I faced an ordeal through which I confronted Satan, I pledged in front of God and prayed with an earnest heart. Despite my circumstances, God could only comfort me; he could not teach me or accept my pledge. How miserable would God, who had no other alternative, feel? Let us say there is a person that had been completely loyal but then betrays God. God cannot even say, "Hey, why have you betrayed me?" You must be able to understand this sorrowful heart of God's. That we have now met this sorrowful God is precious, but to meet God in joy, we must become his companions until we meet him in joy. Our eventual meeting would then become completely natural.

Today, we are directly attending God within our lives, taking actual action and fighting against Satan. We must feel infinitely joyful for living in this age and having such a bond. The work we are presently conducting is significant work that can affect the pride of a people. The world today is spiritually under confusion. However, we have received the incredible benefits of being able to change the world by living in this age.

You must be able to experience great satisfaction over having chosen this path to making such a world and that you are paving the way and shedding blood and sweat for it. I know you have all come here to experience it. Regular people all run away once they understand that there is no support whatsoever that protects us in everything.

Be Confident, Win the Final Battle

If Satan chooses you for his work, and you start a particular task, a guardian will take all responsibility to support you and will take care of all your living issues. This is what people in the satanic world do.

When they see us take on suffering, they pity us. God is well aware of that, but cannot take any responsibility behind the scenes. How broken and sad would God's heart be? You must be able to go ahead no matter what difficulties you face and help all exhausted members to move ahead too. How sorrowful would God, who is well aware of your difficult situation, be? You must be able to put the environment in order by not giving up. This is the type of person God desires.

The more serious and the grimmer the stage on which is waged the final battle, the more God will guarantee its historic value. From this perspective, we realize that God is backing us up in order to give us heaven and earth.

You and I each have responsibilities within our respective fields in the Unification Church. I carry responsibilities within my field and you have responsibilities in yours. Hence, when it comes to responsibilities, our circumstances are the same. However, a big difference exists regarding aspects of our lives and the field in which we conduct our missions. In the same way, the field in which God conducts his providence differs greatly.

God has not failed. He does not take his fight to bring Satan to submission lightly. He is continuously fighting. He cannot stop this fight, even if a people or all humanity does not fight. God continues because he can set up many members around the world if he can set up one family and he can set up a people if he can set up a tribe. That one finds a way to survive if only a center is set up is consistent with natural law.

If a center flourishes, others flourish alongside it. Such principled standard must be set up and expand starting from a family to a nation and the world. Hence, the family should push forward based on this cosmic principle. In this way, a plus and minus automatically form.

It is the same when relating to God's will today. Based on this principled standard, I have to strike satanic world traditions. Being more important, more thorough and more complete than the satanic world, I will attack the resentment-filled history. You are the ones who must do this work with me.

You must be able to say, "The pain inflicted on mankind must end within my time. I am certain we can win this ongoing fight on the Korean Peninsula." Are you all confident you can do that? The fight into in which we are pouring our dedication is a battle that we must fight with all our strength despite the miserable circumstances. It is the final decisive battle. Historically, the world went through numerous rises and falls, but our battle must become the very last in history. This resentful history must come to an end.

The Path of a Devoted Child

You must advance because the day will come when victory will be won in the final battle to put this sinful world back in order. You must advance because the final ordeal of this battle centered on God will come. You must advance because the final ordeal of the battle for the tribe will come. You must advance because the final crisis of the battle for the people will come. If you cannot partake in this battle, how much sorrow and resentment would you feel? How resentful and sorrowful would you feel if you do not win this battle, nor wave the flag of victory, nor rule the world?

You should hope in your hearts for that one day of victory. You must fight to usher in that day. Victory does not simply come without fighting for it. You must undergo a fight with the determination to live or die, to perish or survive.

In the process of this actual battle, what have you done to carry the individual cross? What have you done to carry the family cross? Do you know how much God had to fight, how sorrowful he was, how heartbroken, and how much he had to struggle to go beyond this hill? This hill of sorrow could not be overcome within a generation.... The Unification Church must be able to overcome the heartrending hill of resentment God has tried to go beyond throughout six thousand years of history within one generation. In the future, the enemy of the individual will disappear from world history. The enemy of the family, the tribe and the nation will all disappear from world history.

Under these circumstances, one must be able to fight together with God while attending God. You have been studying the Divine Principle but you have not been able to fulfill your responsibilities. The Principle and your lives have been two separate entities.

Today, something divine is unfolding in front of us as we advance and hold the first flag of victory in relation to this people. Now that I have offered my blood and flesh to God, you must advance with the determination to defeat the enemy camp completely, for that one glorious day.

Even if this takes ten years, a hundred years or your entire life, you must be determined to go forward at all cost. The problem now is how completely loyal we are. It is not a matter of whether the city of Daegu accepts us or not. In other words, the problem is whether we are completely loyal or not. It is not about receiving something or not. Whether we have more members or not is not the problem. The problem is how much our members have given. When giving, you must give to the extent that the recipient would want to reciprocate.

You have understood God's will and have shown true loyalty in your three-year course. While working for God's will during those three years, you probably saw many disappointed people that blame others. However, once God becomes present in their minds, they will change. The pain that they received and their fight against world-level suffering is all for that one victorious day.

The true path of a devoted child is one on which you lead a valuable life, wanting to attend God and move closer to God. Do you understand? Let us all start anew as though today were the first day.

Prayer: Let us move beyond the bitter anguish of Golgotha

The more we think about the many twists and turns in the course of restoration, we cannot help but think about the trials and tribulations of heart on the path that remains ahead of us. Today we have gathered together the young children to take this opportunity to reflect once again on the sad reality of history.

Among the many people who celebrated Christmas yesterday, how many of them embraced the heart of Jesus, shed tears and addressed You, Father, with a sorrowful heart, and how many of Your children worried about tomorrow's path to heaven? How many people know that You, our Heavenly Father, have labored more than we could possibly imagine? Please allow us to bear in mind once again that You have been a pitiful and wretched Father.

We know that the many twists and turns along Your course, and Your miserable situation, are the result of the sin of our ancestors. The time has come for us to move forward, beyond all the grief of Golgotha caused by the mistake of Adam and Eve.

Nonetheless, in order to greet the dawn of tomorrow, we must grope our way forward along the path of darkness. Because we know we can welcome the new dawn only once, the champions of the Unification Church have fought and plodded along the path of darkness, the early morning path despised by others.

When events have caused us to shed tears along this course, we have wished to be with You, who are also shedding tears. When we sweated and endured hunger as part of our struggle, we longed for the day when we could comfort You, who endured a course filled with such hardship.

Please enable us to consign the grief of the past to memory and to weep out of concern for You, Father. Furthermore, we earnestly hope and pray, Father, that You allow us to become Your sons and daughters who, having forgotten our miserable and pitiful selves, are able to struggle to fulfill the duty of filial children. We yearn to see a hopeful Father who, having washed away all the past days filled with tears and sorrowful memories, can smile at having found the goodness of tomorrow.

In following the path You walked, we have found it to be the path of the cross. However, as we have trudged along with the hearts of pioneers along this path, unknown to others, we have understood that this path does not lead to ruin. People have ridiculed us, but You have encouraged us. Many people have opposed us, but You have stood before us and comforted us. We are aware that on numerous occasions You have counseled us, saying, "I am here, and countless saints in the spirit world are protecting the path you are walking." You have comforted me when I was opposed and ridiculed, and the people who are following in my lonely footsteps are also lonely people. Therefore I earnestly hope and pray that Your love be with them as well.

Father! Do You have daughters who have resolved to firmly embrace and take responsibility for Your sorrowful heart and desperate situation? Please encourage them. Do You have any sons like that? Please hold them close. We earnestly hope and desire, Father, that You allow us to become true sons and daughters who can make You proud, who can praise Your glory and sing songs of triumph, having achieved a glorious victory on the final battlefield.

Father, please look upon the future of the Korean people with compassion. There is only one path this people should follow. In the fields of politics, economics and culture, there is nothing this people can contribute to the world. We know that besides aspects of heart, they have nothing to contribute.

We are also aware that the champions of the Unification Church who are following the way of heavenly law need to make a great contribution toward this people and fulfill a historic world mission. Therefore please grant us the awareness that we are people who cannot die even if we wish to die, and please allow us to realize on our own that we are pillars who have a responsibility and mission that prevent us from remaining idle even if we wish to. Thus we earnestly hope and pray that You enable us to secure tomorrow's victory and not grow tired in today's battle.

No matter what anyone says, no matter who opposes us and no matter who speaks ill of You, please allow us to follow You, and please prevent us from turning our backs on You and claiming not to know You, like the masses who betrayed You when You went to Mount Golgotha.

Since we need to tread the remaining critical path of the cross, please allow us to become people who, even when faced with Golgotha at the world level, are able to form new ranks, go straight toward that path, cross that summit and sing a proud song of victory.

Father! How eagerly have You yearned for the appearance of families and brothers and sisters You could be happy about, for such a tribe, a people and a nation? If we become such people, then all those peaks of Golgotha will become flat land, Satan's forces will be swept away, and Heaven will take up the rod of Your Will and strike. We earnestly hope You allow us to know this truth and become Your children who can obediently go forth in the remaining seven year course.

Since we are still filled with grief caused by our inability to love You, Father, this grief must be resolved. And since we are still filled with grief caused by our incapacity to fulfill our duty of filial piety to You, Father, that grief must also be resolved. Furthermore, since we are still filled with grief because we didn't fulfill our duty of loyalty to You, Father, that grief must be resolved as well. In order to do that, we must fulfill our duty of filial piety and our duty of loyalty through many coming battles.

We must hasten the realization of the peaceful kingdom of heaven where we can devotedly attend You by welcoming You, serving You and fulfilling our duties of loyalty and filial piety. For such a day to come, we must be proud of today and prepare for tomorrow. Furthermore, we earnestly request and desire that You save us from exhaustion, prevent us from betraying Heaven, and allow us to joyfully walk this path.

The year 1965, which was a year full of sorrow and historical difficulties, is now coming to a close. We sincerely hope and pray that You allow the champions of unification as well as the entire Unification Church to prepare our new selves during the week that remains before the coming new year, so we may fulfill our mission as representatives who can sincerely petition You, Father, on behalf of this people who are in deep sleep.

Please prevent us from entering any position opposed by Heaven. Please grant that the tears we shed become the source of life for all people, as well as an inspiration so that people will not hesitate to go this path of tears. Please grant that our path may set an example for others, of prostrating before You, fulfilling the duty of loyalty and showing gratitude. We earnestly hope and desire, Father, that You allow our path of adversity to become that kind of path and our life of sorrow to become that kind of life.

Father! Please bestow blessings upon this people and all the people of the world in the remaining days of this year. Please resolve the grief of the many spirits who are waiting in heaven for the day of the Second Advent. Please hasten the realization of a world You can govern, where the kingdom of peace can be built on the earth and where Your grief and Jesus' grief are resolved. This is our earnest hope and desire. We earnestly request that the day quickly come when we can return glory to You and be happy together with You, and when the earth can be filled with glory and victory for eternity. I pray all these things in the name of True Parents. Aju!

Prayer: Even If It Is a Path of the Thorns of Suffering, We Will Go For the Sake of the Will

There are many people who worship heaven, but there are few people who say they will take responsibility for the sake of heaven. We know that there are many people who know that the way of heaven is good, but they want to avoid the path of thorns that lies along the way.

Father! You have toiled for our sakes throughout countless ages. But today humankind wants to avoid the path of toil which must be overcome in order to go along the true way, the way of heaven. Since they want to entrust the sorrow and suffering of humankind to you, as well, we earnestly hope that you will pardon them.

Today people of the Unification Movement have gathered before you. Different from other people, we have come to know your heart, but different from your situation, we have done what we want with the way of hope you left behind, and we have resisted offering our entire lives. Please let us reveal frankly before you now at this time ourselves that are like that.

We are praying that, according to your Will, we can go this road of life, which must be gone anyway. We will have to go the path of death together with you, the path of thorns together with you, and the path of being rejected together with you. We earnestly hope that since we have minds which want to live together with you, Father, you will please take pity on us and embrace us.

We earnestly hope and desire that you will establish us as children who are able to struggle and who cannot deny the fact that we are your sons and your daughters, no matter what anyone says. If we have formed the destined relationship of love with you, and if we have been justified as your children who have that blood relationship with you from which we cannot separate even if we would, we know that nothing at all can deny our relationship with you. Please let us become people who repent of our own accord for our past of not having been able to become your genuine sons and daughters, and who come before you humbly and ask forgiveness.

We earnestly hope that you will let us become your young children who are able to say you are definitely our father, no matter how dirty and shabby we may look, and who are able to say you are definitely our father, no matter how sorrowful your heart may be, or how many worries you have in your heart, and who are able to lament over not being able to fully offer you filial piety, and who are able to hold and comfort our father. We have prayed all these things in the name of the Lord

Prayer: Please Allow Us to Feel Deeply Ashamed In Front of You

Oh merciful Father! Please accomplish that which you desire and will in heaven and on earth. So many people have left your embrace and still continue in their filial impiety. Every day we see them moaning in the valley of death, unable to remove themselves from that environment even today and when we think about facing this situation which causes us sorrow please allow us to become aware that in front of you we are ashamed and there is nothing we can say. Father! You have carried out the providence until now with the goal of a day of joy when you can embrace all humankind and call each one your child. But today on this earth there are so terribly few children who can relate to your love, and there is no one to inherit your entire providence of restoration and offer loyalty to you. When we think about these kinds of things, we realize that even today your sorrowful course remains before us. Therefore at this time please allow us to take ourselves to task again and to discover that we are those who must go forth.

In this evil, wretched world on this devastated earth, the will of your providence is taking a new direction, and we know that at the same time that it is your hope, Father, to lead us without fail to the world of your will, it is also the hope of all humankind living on this earth. We also know that without finding the way towards a standard where you and all humankind on the earth can become one, we will not be able to bring this entire will and mission to completion.

Today you have raised us up to have us pioneer the path of a new religion in front of this people, and to present a new page of history in course of the world. We earnestly hope that you will please allow us to become people who know how to feel sorry and bow down in front of your effort and hard work to establish all the world level indemnity conditions on a horizontal level in order to connect the past, present and future of life. We have humbly prayed in the name of the Lord. Amen.

When I go to some country and stay there at least two days, I feel like giving everything I have for the sake of that country. You realize that everyone is God's child, once you are connected in hearts. Human values cannot be determined by your cultural or historical backgrounds or even conditions of time. The cultural background does not determine who you are. Neither can human value be defined by your historical background or your customs or morays.

I see many young people gathered here. If all of you young people commit to save Japan, it is no problem to restore Japan. Moreover, world salvation is no problem! However, some of you may be thinking, "Rev. Moon is a special person. His commitment to strive forward against all odds in the path of restoration inspires us all gathered here. Only Rev. Moon can do this. We are different from him altogether." Don't you think this way! I get really hungry if I skip a meal. I can sense keenly how hungry you feel, while talking to you. Why? I am very sensitive toward other people. I sense you get tired before you say so. I feel cold and hot weather intensely. I feel all that before you recognize them. Then, you may be thinking, "Aha, Rev. Moon is the only one who has such sensitivity. Rev. Moon has the mission from God, so he is like that. But I am not like him." You can't be loose and fast by saying that. The attitude that God wishes you to have is this. If Rev. Moon is like that, you who love and long for him, must try to do more than him. Then, the world would come around at once back to God. If you determine to endure working for God more than me, your action will make the world restored to God at once. Rev. Moon is thinking how to raise such young people.

Members of Unification Church should not drink alcoholic drinks. Why? It is because I proclaimed it before Heaven and Earth. When you go out on a business trip, other business people who do not understand your commitment may ask you to drink, saying "Oh, just a sip of beer, right? Germans drink beer more than they drink water in their life. So why don't you taste it." But you must be resolute saying to yourself, "You guys go ahead to drink and enjoy it. But I will not drink any alcoholic beverage."

Question here is how can you get excited and joyful even more than those who get stimulated and cheerful by drinking alcohol? I can get such excited and joyful feelings all by myself without any artificial help. You must have such resolve. "Please drink and enjoy. (Father imitates a sound of pouring a drink into a cup) Ahhh, I feel great!" You must feel greater excitement without depending on alcoholic drinks. Unless you are able to do so, you cannot win over this world. "Let's enjoy together. Let's do it." What should you do? Let's sing a song. Do many things with more gusto than those who are drinking. You need stimulants – well this may be over the top – then you need to tap into the realm of stimulation.

It is human nature that the greater the purpose, the greater the stimulation. You need to get stimulation. Why do you need stimulation? If it takes ten years to fulfill your purpose, you need to get the power to operate, through stimulation every day, for the course of ten years. How can you replenish? I have a plan for tens of years in order to influence the world. You know this, right? Then a 40 year plan – "Go forward!" for at least 40 years. I am proceeding for my first 40-year plan. From this point of view, you must gain this feeling of excitement.
