Kook Jin Nim today (Nov. 3, 2011) had two speaking engagements outside the office, one in Guri, Gyeonggi Do, and the other in Seoul. In both cases, he addressed Ambassadors for Peace about his concerns regarding South Korea's national security.

In both locations, Kook Jin Nim was introduced by Rev. Sun Jo Hwang, the president of UPF Korea.

"Korea has gone from being the third poorest country in the world in the 1950s to being the 12th or 13th richest today, but we could lose everything we have built up if we don't pay attention to our national security," Rev. Hwang said in his introductions.

"Mr. Kook Jin Moon is the only person speaking out on this issue in Korea today," Rev. Hwang said.

The Guri event was attended by the local member of the National Assembly, the major of Guri and the chairman of the Guri City Council.

In between the two events, Kook Jin Nim attended a ceremony to dedicate Sun Tower, a new seven-story building on the former site of the Professors' Church in downtown Seoul. Owned by Sun Moon Hagweon, the nonprofit foundation that operates Sun Moon University and several elementary, middle and high schools in Seoul, this building will be leased to tenants so as to generate funds to support the nonprofit itself and the schools its operates.

The 9.5-billion won cost of the construction was raised entirely within Korea.
