Distinguished guests and fellow students:

It is a great pleasure to once again address the world students gathered here for the annual CARP convention.

I hope the time we spend together in this beautiful city of Paris will be enjoyable and memorable for you and that you will have an opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of the French nation.

Since our first convention in Korea in 1984, these gatherings have always been very exciting and have inspired great hope among the participants. Whenever thousands of young people from more than 84 nations gather in one place for such a noble purpose, it is bound to encourage feelings of optimism and expectation.

But this year is especially exciting. As we meet here in Paris in August 1990, it is perhaps easier than ever to see the potential in our world for universal peace and friendship. We have not yet seen the end of tyranny but it is clear, judging from current events, that tyrants who prey on their weaker neighbors will face a world united in opposition against them.

Since we met in London last year, our world has experienced some remarkable changes which were unthinkable a year ago.

Many of you attended the fourth CARP Convention in Berlin in 1987. I hope you still have vivid memories of our march to the Berlin Wall. There were songs of liberation and we prayed together with our hands on that wall which had divided Berlin since 1961. The banners read "De Mauer Mus Veg" ("The Wall Must Go") and I am sure many Berliners saw us as naive and idealistic dreamers.

But that dream has become a reality. The wall has gone! With the help of these university students, the heavy cloak of oppression has been rolled back and most of the nations of Eastern Europe are free to decide their future direction.

The relationship between the superpowers is improving almost daily and we are witnessing a truly remarkable degree of friendship and cooperation.

But the real importance of all these changes lies not so much in their immediate results as in the opportunities which they provide. It is not a time to sit back and expect that new freedoms in Eastern Europe will somehow produce universal happiness.

The experience of the United State shows us that political freedom and material prosperity offer no guarantees of a healthy society. Crime, prejudice, disease and drug abuse continue to plague the American cities. Clearly, this is a time that demands our involvement.

In spite of these continuing social problems, we find ourselves presented with a unique opportunity to assist and to participate in the shaping of a new world order.

This is a time when many of the world's nations are discussing the ideological foundations of their future development. Marxism-Leninism has clearly been exposed as a flawed and outdated worldview while democracy also seems incapable of resolving the problems which divide humanity.

At such a time, it is appropriate that we are gathered here in France, the birthplace of many of the ideas that have shaped our world. From Jean Jacques Rousseau to Jean Paul Sartre, French philosophers have been major contributors to the discussion of human life.

The question which particularly concerns us here is, "What will be our role in the 90s? How can the world's students best seize the opportunity of these times?"

Our first task is to lead and encourage a spiritual renaissance as a precondition to social, economic and political progress. Universal values such as love, honesty and fidelity represent the foundation of a healthy society.

Recognize God as our Parent

When we recognize God as our common parent then we can regard all of humankind as one family. Without a spiritual renaissance, apathy, cynicism and moral decay will prevail on our campuses. Disillusionment will continue to lead young people into self-serving materialism.

It is up to us to make God's true love a reality for the world's young people. But most importantly, we must put into effect true love as the basis of our values. Since true love cannot be formed without a reciprocator it is clear that sacrificing for others is the way to attain true love. Indeed, this is the principle in which agents involved in the process of reciprocation must abide.

The unity of man and God is never a simple thing to accomplish. This is because of the disunity between the mind and the body. The desires of the body are often in conflict with the principles to which the mind adheres and can weaken our commitment to them.

This is why Rev. Moon's teaching emphasizes the importance of the unity of the mind and the body and the need for an ideology which can strengthen our resolve and our commitment to a God-centered life.

Unificationism promotes the family as the cornerstone of society since it is there that we form our worldview and learn how to relate to others. What then, is to be done about the declining health of the institution of the family? Can we legislate family unity? Will increased funding be the solution? Clearly not.

The one thing we can do to restore the health of the family is to become true parents ourselves. We must make God the center of our marriages and allow God's true love to flow through us to our children. Our children should know clearly of God's existence through the unconditional love that we as parents give to them.

The Purpose of Life

Hyo Jin Nim welcomes the 1500 people attending the Opening Ceremony

Hyo Jin Nim welcomes the 1500 people attending the Opening Ceremony

The joy we experience in love is the very purpose of God's creation. In other words, the intoxicating joy of true love is the purpose of life. The more we invest ourselves for the sake of others, the more we experience what it really means to be alive.

This is especially true when we become parents. We want our children to be better than us and we do everything to make their lives more fulfilled than ours. This is God's heart and it is as true parents that we will experience God's hope and desire for mankind.

This parental heart is the very core of real leadership. When you relate to other people from a heart of love, you will naturally become a respected figure in your community and your nation.

In addition to becoming true parents, we also need to become true teachers, committed to what we know to be true and able to convey God's Will with a heart of love. Through our service in our communities we need to be examples that others will want to emulate.

Thirdly, we should be true owners, treating all things, including the created world, as holy. A true owner feels a sense of responsibility for the things in his environment and invests his energy in caring for them. With this heart, we can restore the right relationship of harmony between humankind and the world around us.

As true parents, true teachers and true owners, we can be the leaders for whom God is searching. This is the teaching of Rev. Moon. My father is particularly concerned about the role of students in the 90s. This is why in June of this year, he invited 380 students and professors from the Soviet Union to visit the United States. They visited New York and Washington D.C. where they were given a firsthand experience of American society and culture.

Also, they studied Rev. Moon's teaching about true love and the creation of God's ideal on this earth. My father hopes that these young men and women will become respected leaders who can inspire others by their example of integrity, industry and public service.

I am happy to see that some of those students and professors are with us today. Their presence here is the clearest indication of the way in which our world is changing.

When Rev. Moon met with Mr. Gorbachev in Moscow in April of this year, he expressed his love and support for the Soviet Union as it goes through this period of transformation. In his address to the World Media Association he told the Soviet people, "You are undertaking a new Soviet revolution, but this should be a revolution without blood or bullets -- a revolution of the heart and soul."

The Final War

History records many heroic deeds of student revolutionaries. The recent history of Eastern Europe shows how we students can make a significant contribution to social and political change. But the change that is now most desperately needed in our world is not political but spiritual. The final war which needs to be fought is inside ourselves; it is the struggle between the mind and the body: from selfishness to unselfishness.

Let your conscience be your constant internal teacher. Like a parent, your conscience urges you to be a good, unselfish individual and guides you to do the Will of God.

As this decade of the 90s progresses, the year 2000 will increasingly become a focus of hope and expectation. The people of the world will look to the dawn of a new millennium as the opportunity for a new beginning. If that hope is to be fulfilled, it will be by a new generation of leaders, proud of their cultural, ethnic and religious heritage but united by a common, God-centered vision of a unified world.

As you return to your campuses, please think seriously about the contribution which you will make in this time of hope. Make a determination to never give in to apathy and cynicism or to compromise your ideals in selfish materialism.

Live your life for the sake of God and mankind and become an example for your family, your campus, your nation, and your world. With God's help, we will gather again in the year 2000 to celebrate a world where all can live in peace and where all will know the intoxicating joy of true love.

May God bless you all!

The Third Meeting of the Academic Alumni Association of Europe

The Academic Alumni Association of Europe was formed by President Won Pil Kim. Its members are graduates of the Unification Theological Seminary.

Following on the coattails of a successful and action-packed CARP Convention in Paris, the scene was set for the third meeting of the Academic Alumni Association (AAA), the first such event having taken place at its founding in November of last year, the second at Glory House in March of 1990.

Commencing on August 26 at 10:30 a.m., and running through until the early evening of the next day, we gathered at the French Headquarters in Paris, setting into motion a meeting which would have "flexibility" as its internal theme.

The first morning, each of the AAA members in attendance gave an account of their experiences -- from their graduation from the Seminary or completion of their doctoral studies, up to the present date. Because we converged from various missions, our discussion was rather interesting.

For instance, Tirzy Martin (France) and Christine Cheve-Floria (Italy) were able to relay their experiences in Poland and Romania, respectively; Colette (German CARP) shared of welcoming 120 guests to Regelsmuhle for an overnight stay enroute to the CARP convention; and Steve O'Connor (Britain) shared of his pioneering in York, England. In addition, David Fraser Harris (Italy) told of his work with RYS in Europe, IRF in Italy, and having recently returned from the Assembly of World Religions in San Francisco; he described this monumental event to such an extent that each one of us felt as if we had participated ourselves.

This glowing account by David was expanded in the afternoon session which described the RYS project in Poland, followed by Diet r Schmidt who elaborated on the strides being taken by CAUSA in Europe now that the Berlin Wall has fallen!

Tying into our internal theme of "flexibility," Mr. Sa, the European CARP President, unexpectedly joined us in the early evening to give a brief report on the CARP Convention. He said that Hyo Jin Nim was very happy with this year's convention, even though there were major disturbances thwarting the running of the various events. He spoke at length about Joe Longo and his band, the "Ancestors."

The next day's program began with a morning service offered by Ulrich Tuente, who started to give his prepared lecture on Unification Thought, entitled "The Theory of Original Nature." However, this intended full lecture was prematurely called to a halt by the arrival of Pres. Won Pil Kim at our meeting place.

President Kim explained that he wanted each of us to "...be a locomotive for the European Providence, going ahead. Each one of you should be a leader in your area and a leader in your nation... I want you to be an example to your family, in your church, and to your nation." Moreover, he instructed us to become teachers of Unification Thought, so as to teach the socio-political leaders of our nations, and advised us to make a move in "the eastern direction".

After these few words, we had a quick lunch with Pres. Kim and literally raced to the Trianon Palace Hotel to join in a meeting with Mr. Dong Moon Joo, who was to address the European Leaders. For us it was delight to listen to his testimony, in which he gave the external and internal background on the International Federation for World Peace, explaining in depth our True Father's desire in the creation of this worldwide peace federation.

However, this moving speech did not bring our AAA two-day meeting to a close -- rather, at Pres. Kim's suggestion, Roger Johnstone testified concerning his role at the convention. He was not only Master of Ceremonies for the main convention, but was also responsible for Hyo Jin Nim's band, Joe Longo's band, and for overseeing all the musical small points surrounding the convention.

And so our third meeting was called to an end -- a meeting in which our hearts were drawn together, forming what we would hope to be, as Pres. Kim asked of us, "a pillar of Europe"!

7th CARP Convention of World Students
Patrick Jouan
August 22 -- 25, 1990
Paris, France

HyoJinMoon-900824_e.jpg

The CARP Convention originates from the time when Father went to Danbury and was established to restore mankind's mistake of sending True Father to prison. Whatever Father decides has a deep and providential meaning, and the Seventh CARP Convention was no exception.

This Convention was special from an historical point of view. Last year, France celebrated the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. The original ideals of the Revolution -- freedom through the guarantee of basic human rights -- were noble and principled. However, the revolution was not centered on God and as a result terror and bloodshed broke out, claiming thousands of innocent lives.

The "Terror" of 1793 was aimed particularly against all forms of religious authority. Through the Revolution, France became the center for the godless ideology of communism.

This year's CARP Convention also fell on the same day as the liberation of Paris during the Second World War on August 25, 1944. The Convention represented the spiritual liberation of Paris. Father has invested a great deal in France in the past and through this Convention this investment could finally bear fruit.

The Challenge

From the beginning we knew that it would be a great challenge to succeed in organizing such a large public event in France.

Over the past years, French officials have always attempted to stop our movement from holding events and public meetings. Added to this, our full-time membership in France was not large. Despite these factors we were determined to bring victory to God and True Parents. After meeting with the French National Leader and European CARP President Mr. Sa, I proceeded to book the halls for the Convention during the final months of last year. However, only a few months before the Convention could we find a suitable venue for the Hanmadang Games.

All the French CARP members did extensive prayer and fasting conditions as well as Il Jong prayers at all the venues. This was a very good experience as France has a very strong Christian foundation.

Up until the last 40 days we had to manage with a very small Convention team. As we did not have enough members to seriously prepare everything we were fortunate to receive a large mobilization team from all over Eastern and Western Europe which eventually grew to 70 people.

Ensuring Victory

In the last 40-day period I could really feel the serious prayers of our elder brother Hyo Jin Nim for a victorious convention. Through Hyo Jin Nim's prayers every event could take place without any major problems.

In the CARP Convention there were 5 major events, ranging from the Opening and Closing Ceremony, which were for CARP members only, to the Main Convention where we had at least 2000 other guests. All these events take months of preparation. Added to this is the problem of providing food and accommodation for CARP members from all over the world. However, despite the external difficulties we could still focus on the all-important internal aspect of the convention.

As Hyo Jin Nim told us, this Paris convention represented the completion of the 7 stages in the evolution of the CARP Convention. The 8th Convention will establish a new providence. That is why a complete victory was necessary.

I was determined to do everything to ensure a victorious meeting for True Parents. The fear of losing the beautiful Convention hall though negativity haunted the depths of my mind for many months. I prayed so many times for the French saints and patriots to protect this place, and amazingly nothing stopped us from holding the Main Convention at the Palais des Congres. For this we must be grateful to God and True Parents.

Fruits of Father's Work

It was truly a blessing for France to welcome for the first time to the CARP Convention brothers and sisters from Eastern Europe. These Eastern European students could attend the Convention through the victory of the collapse of the Berlin Wall. This convention really represented the fruit of all of Father's hard work to overcome communism.

Right from the start of the convention, at the Opening Ceremony, Hyo Jin Nim was happy and in high spirits. With 1500 people attending, Hyo Jin Nim expressed how he felt there was a good atmosphere. He stated this event was possible only because of True Parents' sacrifice, and that we should be constantly grateful to them. Hyo Jin Nim emphasized that all of his and our achievements are based upon our True Parents' sacrificial course.

The Symposium went very well. Held in the modern CNIT Conference center at La Defense, the Paris financial district, the event attracted 1200 participants, including a number of leading academics headed by Dr. Morton Kaplan.

A press conference was held with two leading daily newspapers, two television networks, one radio station and five magazines. Although two reports were negative, on the whole the media coverage of this Convention was better than that received by previous conventions. Naturally, it must be hard for journalists to write negative reports when an event held by Father is a success!

Just before the Main Convention, the biggest event, I was extremely concerned for the protection of the True Children and that we could fill up the hall. Many people doubted that we would be able to fill the 3700 seat Palais des Congres, the prestigious venue for the Main Convention.

Thankfully, with God's help and protection, and through our strength and determination, we could fill the Convention Hall: 4,000 people came, including 2,500 guests and members of World CARP and around 1,500 French guests. I really felt that this festival, held in such a magnificent place as the Palais des Congres, could serve as a unifying force for bringing together East and West, and thereby become a landmark in the history of restoration.

When the moment came for the ceremony to begin and for all the delegates to come on to the stage, I could feel that the spirit of Hyo Jin Nim and Nan Sook Nim was working hard to ensure that the final touches were well-placed.

Finding My Brother

Dr. Kaplan gave an important speech which testified to the heart and determination of our True Father. Dr. Kaplan shared the history of his long involvement with Father's projects, and gave a stirring testimony about True Father's activities.

In the intermission Hyo Jin Nim expressed his pleasure with the way in which the Convention was going. He warmly thanked Dr. Kaplan for sharing our Father's efforts with the media and PWPA. A wonderful relationship was struck between Hyo Jin Nim and Dr. Kaplan; they both stood up and related to each other their love for music, the result being that Hyo Jin Nim invited Dr. Kaplan to edit his tapes in the Manhattan Studios!

In the second half of the Main Convention, the full hall was entertained by dance performances from several countries, most notably from Eastern Europe. The highlight of the evening was the musical performances of the electronic keyboard maestro, Mr. Takimoto, the Japanese band "Sunrise Ocean," and the incredible New York rock group "Ancestors," led by Joe Longo. The manager of the Palais des Congres even asked the Ancestors to come back and perform again.

When we returned to Hyo Jin Nim's hotel after the festival had finished, we ate the victory cake with Hyo Jin Nim and Nan Sook Nim who were so happy with the Convention. We felt a very high spiritual atmosphere. I felt that all our investment had been fulfilled though this victorious Main convention. The hall had been filled with 4000 people -- we had managed to reach our goal! To see Hyo Jin Nim so embracing and joyful was for me the greatest possible gift from Heaven.

Hanmadang Games

The 25th of August was vitally important to clinch the final victory for True Parents. Unfortunately we faced some opposition from the Secretary of the local city hall. I sensed that Satan was so upset by the success of the Convention that he could not just stand by and watch. I felt it was a direct attack by Satan to try to prevent Hyo Jin Nim from speaking.

However, through our determination we could continue with the Hanmadang Games, and Hyo Jin Nim was still able to speak through a loudspeaker after the stadium officials cut off all electricity. The Games concluded with victory for the United States, Europe coming in second position and South East Asia placed third.

The closing ceremony began with a speech from Hyo Jin Nim, the World CARP President, asking us to be more responsible and to take an active part in changing people's attitudes toward True Parents.

After passing the Convention flag to the Korean CARP leader, Reverend Bon Tae Kim, we had the privilege to see Hyo Jin Nim perform several songs with some blessed children. The atmosphere was tremendous -- we all stood up and danced, so moved by the music!

A Precious Gift

During this time I had the unique opportunity to attend Hyo Jin Nim closely and understand his heart better. The brothers and sisters who worked to prepare this Convention told me that it was the most precious gift that they could receive to come closer to deeply understanding Hyo Jin Nim's and Nan Sook Nim's heart.

We all need to connect to the heart of the second generation; through attending the True Children, the blessing from True Parents can be substantialized.

I would like to conclude with some words from Hyo Jin Nim: "If you can do this much for this convention, then you can do even better for next year's World Festival of Culture in Korea."

He said further that we should never forget the sacrifice of True Parents. Hyo Jin Nim said that his only desire for this Convention was that it could bring glory to True Parents. We should also act in a responsible way, seeking to offer every good achievement to True Parents, and to take personal responsibility for any mistakes which we make.

Impressions of East European Students of the CARP Convention in Paris

For the first time, this year's CARP Convention included participation of students from Eastern Europe. When members of our movement in the various East European nations started to rally for the event, it raised considerable interest; East European students have been deprived of contacts with the outside world for almost four decades. Hundreds attended 2-day seminars in order to qualify to attend the CARP Convention in Paris. This way we could find many young people who were seriously interested in the Principle.

At a 21-day Divine Principle workshop held in Budapest, Hungary following the CARP Convention, several participants offered reflections of their experiences at the CARP Convention. There were two things which really caught the hearts of these young students: First and foremost they were deeply moved by the personality and leadership of World-CARP President Hyo Jin Moon.

Maria, a 24-year old language graduate from Zagreb, Yugoslavia commented, "1 was deeply impressed by the quality of Hyo Jin Nim's character. He is a truly powerful young man. His value is magnified by the fact that he can control his energy. In this way he is an ideal for young people, because he can inspire young people to take responsibility for building a better world." Sandor, a medical student from Budapest, has already studied the Principle for two years, but it was for him the first opportunity to meet members of the True Family: "I knew that the True Children are the way to True Parents; but by meeting Hyo Jin Nim I deeply and personally felt that it is so. It was surprising how quickly I could feel that he was really my elder brother. I could also see on the faces of other students that he could reach them immediately, too."

Hyo Jin Nim could win the hearts of East European students in many ways. One of them was through the "international language" of music when he performed with his band at the Closing Ceremony. Says Greg, a 21-year old student of law from Warsaw: "I myself am a guitarist, so I was impressed with the feeling with which he played the guitar. I could not imagine something like that before. We can compare his playing with such great guitarists as Bibie King or Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits." And Jadwiga, who studies history in Krakow, Poland commented "I was impressed by how true his expression is, and how he can reach the heart of young people, especially when he sings."

Besides meeting Hyo Jin Nim, the second thing to catch their hearts was experiencing the unity between brothers and sisters from all over the world which made the event unforgettable. Roman, a student from Prague and leader of CARP in Czechoslovakia, remembers: "I felt during the pre-Convention mobilization and during the Convention that we are in the center of God's Providence, and that everything we did was very significant, particularly toward the establishment of unity between young people from Eastern and Western Europe. I was moved to see how everyone was giving his or her best, and also by the care elder brothers and sisters provided, especially by Mr. Sa's taking care of us. Sandor reflected, "The most impressive part of the Convention for me was the moment we arrived at Paris and met brothers and sisters from all over the world. Previously we could only meet East European members. Now, for the first time, we could feel a beautiful international spirit."

The beautiful program provided for, many inspirations and insights into the dynamics of true give and take. "I was very moved when I saw how brothers and sisters participated in the Hanmadang Games, how beautifully they served as masters of ceremonies, as sportsmen and sportswomen, and also as an enthusiastic audience," says Gregory, a 22-year old student of physics from Krakow. He also had his taste of music changed due to the high-standard performance of the artists during the Main Convention: "When the band Ancestors and Yashimoto played, I could feel Heavenly Father has a big heart and wants to embrace all people. I myself never liked Heavy Metal music before, but because the motivation of the band members was so good, I actually became fond of this music."

Overwhelmed by the blessing to have the opportunity to participate in such a historic event, many felt very indebted to God and True Parents. When Elisabeth, a Polish student, had the honor of presenting flowers to Nan Sook Nim, she felt "that we should offer her something of special value. I cannot offer just flowers. I looked for something we, the young generation, could offer, but could not find anything; it was very painful. S. I had the desire to pray to God to become a very pure generation like Hyo Jin Nim and Nan Sook Nim." A very beautiful offering, indeed.

Resolution of the 7th CARP Convention of World Students

Ulriche Tuente delivers a Unification Thought lecture

Ulriche Tuente delivers a Unification Thought lecture

On the occasion of the Seventh Convention of World Students, members and friends of World CARP have gathered together from over 80 nations. We are the future leaders of the world and must contribute to build a world of peace, leading mankind into a harmonious 21st Century.

We acknowledge that:

1. The crisis of universities and education have an important role among the youth problems of drug abuse, immorality and suicide;

2. Society cannot become better unless its leaders change their habits and their hearts for a stronger sense of responsibility and morality;

3. Selfishness and the misuse of science and technology are the main causes for the destruction of the environment in northern countries and the problems of poverty and hunger in southern countries.

We resolve:

1. To formulate a new vision of education by relating intellectual knowledge to the values of beauty and goodness centered on true love;

2. To contribute to raising heartistic and honest leaders for the future in order to create a harmonious society of liberty and justice;

3. To promote a new ethical standard in order to pursue the progress of humankind and to protect the environment and the beauty of the creation.

United in heart and hand, the 4,000 participants of this Seventh CARP Convention of World Students proclaim these resolutions to be the foundation upon which we will take responsibility to contribute to the establishment of international peace and harmony.

Remarks to the Soviet student delegation at the welcoming banquet

I am very pleased to have this opportunity to welcome you to Japan. I hope that through this experience we can transcend national boundaries to better understand one another. I want this opportunity to be productive for all of you, since you are here looking for interaction.

I know we can interest you in certain ideas that you will be able to use in whatever way you choose. We are going to clearly explain what we believe; this time is solely for you to make decisions based on your observation and your personal experience while you are here.

We are all heading toward the 21st century. We can no longer practice a policy of isolation or just dwell on exclusive, nationalistic programs; those ideas belong to the past. Our goal for the 21st century is to understand how can we create a world where there is no discrimination based on creed, color or nationality. But a world where we can all live harmoniously, not just idealistically but in reality.

I believe everyone in this room has wonderful and unique characteristics. The ideal world should be a place where all these differences and abilities can benefit the well-being of the whole. That is the wonder and beauty of our existence. When we look at the creation, we want to see diversity. How to enable these many different people to live together harmoniously is the question; that is the work we are trying to tackle and ultimately resolve.

In marriage, two individuals who are totally different come together to consummate love, because man and woman need each other. By the same token, we are different: you are Russian students, this is Japan and I am Korean. The basis of Reverend Moon's teaching is friendship: that is, to love people and yourself for the sake of something greater than yourself. It is a simple truth. We don't just dwell in a concept, but try to actually put it into practice. This is the hardest part. Constructing the basics is a fundamental step to success but it is also the most difficult step that one can take in life.

I hope you can truly use this time wisely. It is your time. You are here to learn new things. It is your opportunity to observe, experience and touch many of the young people who are here representing the Unification Church.

I welcome you and hope you have the greatest experience in your life through this workshop. So take us into your heart and we'll try to take you into our heart. God bless you!

Good Will Seminar

Hyo Jin Nim gives a heartfelt welcome to each of the Soviet students

Hyo Jin Nim gives a heartfelt welcome to each of the Soviet students

Since the Twelfth World Media Conference held in Moscow, communication between members of the Unification Church and people in the Soviet Union has suddenly become very active. The Japanese-Soviet Students Good Will Seminar was held as part of that growing exchange. Japan CARP invited the Soviet Union All Students' Council to attend the National Students' Rally on July 22 and then participate in a Divine Principle workshop. The Soviet Union All Students' Council was established to promote perestroika. Their visit to Japan is fruit of the Media Conference held in Moscow earlier this year.

After attending the National Students' Rally held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture, a welcome banquet was given at the Makuhari Prince Hotel, sponsored by Hyo Jin Nim, president of World CARP.

Yuri Zaithev, president of the council, made a speech of gratitude:

We have come from a country far but near. When we stepped onto this land for the first time, we had a nice impression of Japan. As we talked with our sponsors, our impressions have deepened.

We have come to Japan to learn as much as possible. I believe we should learn to the end of our lives. There has been a tradition in Russia: when we have a conversation, we must 'understand each other from the bottom of our heart.'

We are sincerely grateful to the Unification Church members and Rev. Sun Myung Moon for being given an opportunity to visit Japan.

The Soviet students attracted much attention both inside and outside the Church. The media gathered data about the students, with TBS Broadcasting putting them on the air on July 23. Beginning the following day, Soviet students studied the Divine Principle, visited newspaper publishing companies such as Yomouri and Asahi, toured a Japanese broadcasting corporation and the Unification Church Headquarters.

From July 23 -- 28, the Japanese-Soviet Student Good Will Seminar was held at the Miyazakidai Training Center run by the Unification Church in Kanagawa prefecture. These students were the elite of the Soviet Union. They widened their understandings by visiting political, economic, technological and media organizations as well as a temple and a shrine.

On July 26, Iwaro Takahashi testified to his experience in the Unification Church. He outlined the Divine Principle and explained Father's thought and the vision of the Unification Movement. He also referred to prominent Russian literature which suggests that the Russian people are religiously inclined.

Though religious activities were prohibited before perestroika in the Soviet Union, there are many who have kept their faith at home. Christian literature has been secretly read. There were atheists among the Russian students, but most found something even beyond the religious dimension in the Unification Movement.

Soviet students rise and applaud in acknowledgement of their attendance at the Japanese CARP rally

The Russian students admitted that the Soviet government commanded the creation of a special education system for the gifted, but felt that such an education system "is wrong". This showed that the spirit of the students is to promote perestroika. Although they are proud of the culture and history of their country, they make a clear stand against communism.

They expressed such frankness and simplicity, bringing gifts from the Soviet Union -- pins, dolls called "matroshka", and many folk-art wooden spoons. Every time they met someone, they gave them a spoon. Being outspoken seems to be characteristic of Russian people, as evidenced through their clear opinions. In addition, they made friends with local high school students by pleasantly chatting with them outside the Center. The staff was surprised and touched by their behavior.

Through this seminar, the young people of Japan and the Soviet Union, once far apart internally, could grow to love each other from the bottom of their hearts. This proves the possibility of realizing mankind's ideal of world harmony and unity.

On July 27, two days before their departure, a Japan-Soviet Union Sisterhood ceremony was held. This sisterhood will contribute to the realization of an ideal world by deepening mutual friendship among students, promoting the mutual cooperation and good will between the two countries, and helping students accept their responsibility as contributors to the family of nations.

The students from both countries signed written pledges and exchanged each other's addresses, promising to continue future communication.

On July 28, they paid a courtesy visit to the Tokyo Church. The Unification Church members welcomed them, waving the flags of both countries. Their student leader, Mr. Zaithev said, "I was deeply moved by the warm clapping of hands and smiles of the members. Perestroika has brought us such an encounter. I would like to move ahead in the future by deepening our mutual understandings." The Soviet students began their journey home with many unforgettable memories.

Hyo Jin Moon calls 10,000 CARP students to rally in Japan

On the afternoon of July 22, 1990, ten thousand students from all over Japan rallied at the Makuhari Messe event hall in Chiba prefecture, which boasts the greatest convention facilities in the Orient.

The purpose of the rally was to encourage members to manifest a "true love human relief movement based on the spirit of living for others."

Hyo Jin Nim served as the keynote speaker. One hundred Soviet students, headed by Mr. Yuri Zaithev, president of the Soviet Union All Students' Council, also participated as special guests.

The rally was held under the Theme of "True Love and the Unified World -- Toward a Global Family" and amid slogans of "Rev. Sun Myung Moon is the True Parent of mankind" and "True Parents and the Unified World." The rally attracted much attention from the Japanese media and society, and was a preparatory rally for the "World Culture and Sports Festival" to be held in Seoul next year.

Pro-Unification Movement students gathered from the entire nation at the hall displaying two huge banners. In addition to student representatives from Europe, Asia and the United States, 100 Soviet students who had visited Japan on July 21 to promote communication with CARP were invited.

At the opening ceremony, pop singer Yukari Morikawa and several energetic young dancers performed. Then came a multi-media presentation introducing the Unification Movement as it extends to every corner of the world.

After the opening declaration and entrance of the national and Unification Church flags, Church officials, guests and student representatives were seated on the stage. Mr. Hideo Oyamada, president of the executive committee of the rally and acting president of the Unification Church of Japan, made the following opening remarks:

When we look back on history, in spite of mankind's continual pursuit of peace, instead we find conflicts occurring repeatedly and tragedies due to ignorance and prejudice. We have gathered here today to pledge to liquidate the history of resentment, to become young patriots, and to realize the ideal world which God and mankind have been seeking.

Our existing value system cannot cope with the rapidly changing world. This reveals our limited human ability to resolve our problems.

To overcome these difficulties, we must return to the Existence which transcends human beings, or God, to understand the fundamental questions of why God created people and the universe.

The answer comes through the modern revelation of God given through Rev. Moon's life of hardships and his teachings.

I would like to refer to the new spiritual movement of "Global Village" and "Global Family' which CARP is promoting. Its purpose is to surpass the existing value system through Godism and Headwing thought and to form a global family. First, education promoting a new value system is needed. Second, there must be equalization of technology; that is, the transfer of mechanical and electronic technology from the advanced nations to the third world. Third, economic support must be sent to the Soviet and East European nations.

We Unification Church students have been commissioned to foster supra-racial and supra-national talents. This is God's very own way of life and it is Rev. Moon who exemplifies this life. He is the man who should well be called the "True Parent."

Mr. Hyo Jin Moon, president of World CARP, has come here on behalf of the True Parents and their family. We would like to share with you his profound thought and burning heart.

Next, there were speeches of encouragement by Makoto Yamazaki, chairman of the rally executive committee and director of the church's national student department; Iwaro Takahashi, professor of Tsukuba University; and Katsumi Ohtsuka, president of Japanese CARP.

Hyo Jin Nim gave a commemorative lecture, speaking intensely and passionately with profound love, enrapturing the whole audience. The main theme of his lecture was "To realize an ideal world depends on the practice of true love":

What do we need to behave centered on Rev. Moon's words of love? I think it begins by firmly establishing our view of principle according to God's true principle.

The reason God created mankind and the world is that He needed a being with whom and a foundation with which to practice true love. All of you have a mind to experience the joy of love, which should not be centered on yourself, but should return love by giving and taking, communicating and making oneness with each other.

If the origin of God's ideal is love, God would have wanted to belong to such a love. Please bear in mind that God's great ideal is to keep true love shining forever.

God made the responsibilities of Adam and Eve so important because He wanted to create this world with the realization of infinite true love. God can realize His ideal of love only through Adam and Eve. If God's ideal is eternal, even though this world has its limit, the eternal true love of God must be able to take root in the world. That is why God gave men the blessing: 'Be fruitful.' Through such a blessing the world of eternal true love of God will be realized. Man's responsibility is an indispensable condition to the completion of the purpose of creation. Therefore, after losing Adam and Eve God has been conducting the providence of restoration by continually setting up substitutes for Adam and Eve.

A revolution cannot be successful without its actions Based in a firm vision. Satan understands the Principle better than anyone else. Man-kind's perfection cannot be fulfilled automatically, but by autonomy, independence, and through each person accomplishing his and her responsibilities in the process of growth.

Satan, who knows this, has often selected a few groups to influence them with thought centered on Satan's ideal. Isn't it true, brothers and sisters, that most people are said to be lazy? Why is that so? It is because perfection is so difficult. God made it so that people's responsibility would not be easy. When He created the world, He invested all of himself. Moreover, He did not create at random. God's Heart is such that He wants to invest His whole energy for an ideal of love even if He has to sacrifice Himself. Human beings must realize this and behave like God through their process of growth.

The ideal world will come before too long. If you devote yourself based on True Parents' foundation and vision, I will sing here today with my whole effort even though I have a sore throat. I don't care if I fall down here. So, those who promise to do your best, please raise your hands and show me! Thank you very much.

In the second part of the rally, there was a splendid keyboard performance, a Wonhwa-do performance by the student department, and a door prize drawing.

At the finale, Hyo Jin Nim and his band gave a concert, which climaxed in total unity with the entire audience. The students responded with many calls for encores. The rally concluded in complete success. One of the Soviet student participants said, "What impressed me most was the speech by President Hyo Jin Moon, because he spoke a lot about peace and the ideal everyone wishes. It was really good to take part."

The media paid much attention to this rally, for only Unification Church students are seriously active nationwide, while the left-wing student movement has declined in Japan. Moreover, the participation of the Soviet students inspired television, newspaper, and magazine media to report the rally on a larger scale. The image is taking root more and more in Japan that only the Unification Church can teach young people the ideal to truly live for Asia and the world, transcending the national dimensions of Japan.

Providential Age of Restoration

As I have explained before, the foundation of substance requires us to become the ideal object. If a seed is to bear good fruit, it must be sown on good ground and that is an ideal object. Just as Jesus said in Matthew 13:38, the good seed are the children of the Kingdom. The purpose of our existence is to start as good seed, be planted in good ground, and ultimately bear good fruit.

The underlying emphasis of the whole restoration process is revealed in the introduction to the second part of the Principle. This explains that the way the Israelites were to receive the Messiah and bring about the fulfillment of God's ideal was to believe in Jesus, and put the Messiah in the position of an offering. By doing so, the Israelites could become accepted in the eyes of God.

The most important aspect of restoration lies in the meaning of offering. Why must the significant figures in restoration history always make an offering? We need a condition of indemnity and a medium representing God on the physical plane. You are to become part of Heavenly Father through an offering that is more ideally prepared than yourself to be received by God. By disobeying Heavenly Father man assumed a position lower than that of the creation.

Since man became impure, something has to be offered in his place that is pure and acceptable to God. Through God's receiving this offering, man can become part of Heavenly Father. Through this offering process man is becoming responsible for his own actions, doing something to negate the fault he has manifested and laying a condition by which he can return to God.

To be restored, Adam and Eve needed some mediator who represented the presence, goodness, and ideals of God -- a connection to Heavenly Father. Abel was to be the mediator that fallen Adam and Eve could offer in order to be resurrected back to their primary position. Also Abel himself had to first make some substantial offering to be accepted as God's representative.

The offering or medium through which all mankind can receive Heavenly Father actually represents the concept of the Messiah, of True Parents. To create a global family of mankind under God, we must have parents who represent God's lineage.

Substantially Uniting With God

The condition of indemnity can be viewed -- because there is greater, equal, and lesser indemnity -- as a form of compromise. The restoration of man is necessary because without man's involvement in the creation process, God cannot realize His goal of diversity within harmony.

This physical plane is filled with limitations -- but still we can do almost anything good or bad, even to the point of literally wiping ourselves off the face of the earth. But we must choose the way that God expects to truly realize His grand ideal. We must become involved only in goodness, though we have the ability to do otherwise. But the only things that will be everlasting will be within the presence of God. We have to separate from anything that would impede the realization of God's ideal.

After we separate good from evil, how can we substantially become part of God? That process is realized only through the presence of True Parents, and only God has the power to choose the one who will ultimately represent His presence in the physical world. That's why the word "chosen" is very significant. But many chosen ones throughout history have failed to live up to the expectation of God. So thinking practically, if every man is a child of God, why not just let everyone be a prophet or chosen one? The more the better -- if you have more people you have a better chance of someone succeeding. But such reasoning is not acceptable because only through one lineage of True Parents can you ultimately have one global family. That's why True Parents are so significant.

The only way that man can become one with God is to make an offering by doing something substantially to satisfy Heavenly Father. It is your responsibility to live for the sake of God, because by doing so, you are ultimately living for the sake of your own well-being. As man cannot live without woman and vice versa, man without God cannot realize his ultimate longing to have eternal peace and joy and without man God's ideal cannot be realized.

Many times you may have a problem with who is going to be the subject and the object in a relationship. Some of you may have lingering doubts about the correctness of the Principle view. The Bible says, "Neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without man in the lord." How can you make a value judgment when, without the other, you do not exist?

The subject and object relationship exists to realize the ultimate goal of Heavenly Father -- to have great diversity but with an oneness of heart. We also appreciate diversity. I don't want to hear the same music over and over again. I want things to change. I love seeing my children grow up. The little changes that occur within their lives bring me joy. God also wants a similar joy coming from many different beings intermingling with one another, and at the same time He wants oneness because He wants to be a part of everything He created. I too want my children and my music to reflect my ideal desires. I want to rejoice and at the same time be captivated by having created something through which I can appreciate my self-worth and see my own reflection. Do you like looking at yourself in the mirror? If it reflects back your ideal image you are happy. I want something to reflect and understand me so I can experience joy through give and take with that object.

Racial Unity

The subject and object relationship exists for the sake of love. Many times you get scolded or reprimanded because you do not truly live up to your potential. You did something wrong but you turn around and say, "What did I do wrong? Why are you getting on my case? You should love me no matter what." How can you say that? You should put yourself in the position of accepting your fault and truly repenting for having done something wrong. But if you are not truly repenting and accepting your fault, how can I just disregard what you have done wrong? The whole problem of restoration is that we want our mistakes forgotten and forgiven so we can pretend that everything is okay once again. It just doesn't work like that.

The position of Adam and Eve is especially significant because they were to represent Heavenly Father and become True Parents. Through them mankind was to become part of God's lineage. The person in such a position cannot make the mistake of dwelling on selfish desires and excluding God, and still expect to maintain the position of representing God. It is a serious, serious responsibility. Heavenly Father knew about the consequences of the fall, but He was willing to go ahead because He wanted true love.

What is the greatest problem in America today? [Selfishness] It's true, but more specifically, the important issue is racial discrimination. When Father said the white people of America should recognize their historical wrongdoing and should serve black people, you have to take that literally. You have to be responsible for your historical failures and make a substantial condition to restore these failures in the eyes of God. I know black people here might resent the fact that your ancestors had to suffer such hardship and racial segregation even in this century. But think about God's position. He has to forgive men who ultimately cause all this misery.

How can you white people say you are part of the Unification Church and are trying to represent God if you have racial prejudice? Also, black people must accept the position that God has taken for the 6,000 biblical years. To Heavenly Father, all fallen men are sinners. By observing True Parents, you can understand what kind of attitude you must have. Because of man's failure Father had to walk the course of indemnity, but he is willing to forgive all of you. You have to truly believe that each other is good and that you and I are people who can be absolutely one with True Parents. Becoming an ideal person in the ideal world will be based on how much you are able to understand and represent Heavenly Father and True Parents. Unity with True Parents is most important.

Don't assess subject/object relationships by material quantity. In the subject and object relationship, one cannot do without the other. The importance of subject and object relationship is to unite the diversity of people in the world centering upon True Parents. We have to become a living offering for Heavenly Father. That means the offering has to be pure; there cannot be any kind of resentment or conflict between one another. The Unification Church body is a living offering to Heavenly Father that will ultimately bring the realization of the global family because the blessed couples are composed of all the different races.

We represent the world and the destiny of mankind. If we cannot resolve the kinds of problems that exist in the world within ourselves, how can we accomplish the restorational dispensation of God? You an important aspect in this process.

Center on True Love

Black brothers and sisters really can set an example to the world and have faith in one another, forgiving one another. In order to receive forgiveness, the white people should truly accept the fact that you have done wrong, repent and expiate the wrongdoing.

Father has done so much for us all. I know it is difficult but if you just give a little bit of your effort compared to what Father has done, you can receive what he has prepared for the future of mankind. You can be responsible for the foundations he had laid, and be in the glorious domain with True Parents at the same time. He is giving you the opportunity to be involved in this unfolding historical process. What Father is doing is absolutely incredible.

In the ideal world someone has to administer the global affairs as an extension of True Parents. That is the significance of blessed couples. Many are called but only a few are chosen because only a few will represent that position.

Obviously communism has failed; it is gone. Democracy is also dying. There is so much suffering and conflict even within democracy. You have to do a major renovation within this system.

Without it there is no hope for the future. That major reconstruction has to focus on the problem of individuality. We have to live for the sake of something greater than ourselves for unity and harmony to take place.

Is it a very depressing issue? Once you start looking at each other centered upon love, all those problems will be resolved. White people, you can feel that you are superior to others based on a material point of view. But you have to base yourself centering upon true love. The only greatness lies in realizing what love is and that it encompasses everything in the creation. You have to realize the value of everything that God has created. In God's eyes everyone matters and should ultimately benefit.

Everyone has good traits. I feel joy many times just by being with black people. I can feel their emotion and it lifts me up. Oriental people might be a little more reserved. By being with them you can be more serious about your inner responsibility. You can't just rely upon momentary sensual feelings; many times you have to be very cautious, serious, and reserved. Before you do something you have to think: how will what I do affect everything? What would the outcome be? You don't have to be talking all the time. We all have good traits, which exist to enhance and bring joy to each other's lives, spiritually as well as physically.

I appreciate physical beauty too. White people are colorful people: blond, red, brown hair, green, blue, gray eyes. You emphasize the development of your physical body and try to enhance your physical qualities of life. At the same time we need to develop our spiritual presence. Both are important in developing the ideal world.

But each person's characteristics can obviously interchange; I might be given a certain characteristic, but if I am willing to make a greater effort to learn from someone who is more able, I can ultimately inherit that person's ability. Thus within the physical lifetime we can attain all the possibilities for eternal life.

Please pay closer attention to the problem of black and white. You can't cover it up. Restoration depends on the foundation to receive True Parents. You cannot receive the True Parents while harboring a prejudicial attitude and doing nothing when you see those kinds of problems existing around you.

How Grateful Are We?

In the last days the lambs and the goats will be separated. Although you might call yourself a Unification Church member, if you don't accept the Principle fully and absolutely, you cannot fulfill or hold onto the position you were given by True Parents and by the Blessing. Father is becoming number one in everything. Father has an incredible amount of economic power and virtually all the resources necessary to influence the outcome of future global events.

You might think that right now you Americans are far better off than almost anybody else in the world. But that is only monetarily because you have so many internal problems.

So what about you? We should be grateful every moment of our lives that we have been given this opportunity to be blessed by True Parents and have this kind of future when the rest of the world is taking a nose dive. Ingratitude and arrogance belittles everything that Father is doing.

When I face those attitudes I think about Father. How many times did he feel this disappointment? Anybody who does not shed tears in gratitude and repentance every time you think about Father's past is a fake in my eyes. You have shed your tears for yourself, not out of gratitude because of what you have been given. Father has given you this position and this blessing. If you turn around and demand more, what kind of children are you?

We must protect True Parents. If all the disciples around Jesus had been like an unbreakable shield of armor, he would not have been crucified. That's why we have to be strong. This is war.

In the ideal world, even money will be used in an ideal sense. You have to give something of yourself in order to receive. That kind of substantial give and take is necessary. The reason that everything will work out is that the main emphasis will be put on love. Our status will not be judged by how much material we have, but how much we have spiritually.

Your efforts are very important at this time because they will determine the fate of your future and your children's future: Please do your best to properly nurture True Parents' foundation so that ultimately it will glorify Heavenly Father and True Parents and you can remain in their presence.

All I have has been given to me by True Parents, so all the credit should be given to them. If there is any credit that is due to me, it is through nurturing the abilities that I received from True Parents.

Be a Living Offering

It is important to understand your position. You are a living offering to mankind, as is the Messiah. You must follow Father's footsteps. You must become a tribal messiah like the Messiah. You are responsible for humanity. Father has laid the foundation to receive Heavenly Father, and through him we can connect to God's lineage. You have to understand the historical significance of it. Father was chosen for this task, and he accepted and accomplished it without any regret, and with gratitude through every hardship that he faced. He tried to comfort God, not to complain. That's extremely difficult. Father had to put himself in the position of comforting you when he was going to Danbury. I would have been very angry with you in that situation, but he comforted you: "Don't cry. Don't shed your tears for me. This is for the sake of America. You have to be grateful, and you have to repent." That's pretty amazing.

We have to leave an ideal legacy for our children. The only way to do that is by fulfilling the ideal object's position. The unity of Noah's family was to come through the unity of the children with the parents. Noah had to offer the ark to Heavenly Father to become accepted in God's eyes. For his children to unite as a family, they had to go through Noah to Heavenly Father. This is repeated over and over historically throughout history.

The way Jesus' disciples could reach Heavenly Father's love and acquire eternal life was through the Messiah. John the Baptist was in the position of Cain to Jesus as Abel. They were to offer their lives, which means everything of themselves. By offering himself absolutely Jesus purified himself in the eyes of God, becoming the ideal object who could fully receive Heavenly Father's direction. But because John failed to make a complete offering, ultimately he failed to unite with Jesus Christ.

The foundation of substance enables us to redeem ourselves in the eyes of God. The responsibility of the Messiah is ultimately to have dominion over mankind. Leading up to this process, much indemnity historically had to be paid. John the Baptist was to offer the ideal tribe to the Messiah. By their becoming one with John the Baptist, and then being available to Jesus Christ to offer to Heavenly Father, the responsibility of the Messiah would have been fulfilled. But this offering just literally walked off the offering table.

That's what I mean by saying we are a living offering: It is your responsibility today as it was the responsibility of John the Baptist.

Jesus had a terrible temper. Yes! You know the famous story of Jesus in the temple, but you never mention that because you don't want your own subjects to reprimand you. Whatever you do, you want somebody to always say, "It's okay, it's okay. You can do better next time. I know you tried your best. Maybe you were tired, I understand." Well, I am sorry, but if you have problems, it affects everybody. So please resolve them. I have noticed that racial problems are still lingering in some places even within the church. Please, give your effort. If you see anybody struggling with that kind of problem, make yourself available to help resolve it. If you lend a helping hand in times of need, help will come when you are having problems in your life. Everything that you do for the sake of Heavenly Father will be remembered and you will be judged according to what you do. Think about those things and be a little more caring.

This is my way of caring. I am always trying to change for the sake of True Parents because I believe in the ideal standard and know there are many things I need to adjust. I am willing to face up to whatever kind of challenges Father has gone through and accept them.

Many of us, including me, don't have patience. But I am learning patience because it's important. You have to be grateful. Reward will come to you, but you don't know when. It is wrong to put a time frame on love. That is immoral. You want things to come right away. So do I. So does everybody else. But if everybody lives like that -- filled with anticipation of gaining some kind of material prestige or reward and then resentful when it doesn't come -- this world will be a terrible place.

We always have to remember to have gratitude in our hearts and do our best to understand and become the embodiment of the Principle. Thank you very much.

Foundation of Substance

Hyo Jin Moon
November 5, 1989
Belvedere Sunday Service

The whole restoration process relies on man manifesting the foundation of substance, which ultimately means we are to obey and emulate the Messiah. Let me read some verses that describe why such an absolute standard is necessary. Jesus says in Matthew 5:18: "For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished." Matthew 5:37: "Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more than this comes from evil." Matthew 6:24; "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Mammon is deified riches.

It is clear that it is our responsibility to obey the Messiah, to become an object who will embody the master, to become like Jesus Christ. You must first deny yourself: "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself...." (Matthew 16:24) The Messiah is the manifestation of God, His living Word. Our ultimate goal is to emulate the Messiah, and thus become part of God's ideal creation.

To do this Jesus emphasizes that we have to choose to follow and obey the Messiah. "Whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 16:25) Jesus is saying that if I am willing to sacrifice everything of myself in order to become one with God by becoming one with the Messiah, then I can ultimately find true life. We have to put ourselves in a position to be embraced and accepted by the Messiah, by True Parents. That is the way to find Heavenly Father.

Kingdom of Heaven

Jesus told this parable during one of his talks to the multitude: "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while the men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the householder came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then has it weeds?' He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?' But he said, 'No; lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, 'Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn'." (Matthew 13:24-30)

Jesus is saying that at the time of judgment those who are not worthy in the eyes of God and the Messiah will be put aside. Once again he stresses the importance of man's following the laws of Heavenly Father and the ways of the Messiah.

There is another parable in Matthew 22:2-14: 'The kingdom of heaven may be compared to be king who gave a marriage feast for his son, and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast; but they would not come." Again he sent other servants, and the people went so far as to kill them. As time passed the king became kind of desperate. He said to his servants, 'Go therefore to the thoroughfares, and invite to the marriage feast as many as you find.' And those servants went out into the streets and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment; and he said to him, 'friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and cast him into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.' For many are called, but few are chosen."

Jesus said more than once, "For many are called but few are chosen." Jesus came to become the parent of mankind. There has to be order in the ways that mankind can become one centering on Jesus. Those who are chosen to be the elders of mankind, the subjects who ultimately will guide mankind to Jesus, are only the few. Not everyone can fulfill this divine position to help Christ restore man and establish the heavenly lineage of True Parentship.

Decide to Be Obedient

Maybe you don't really understand how essential your responsibility is and that's why you neglect to study the Principle. The Bible emphasizes over and over again the importance of the responsibility of individuals. You can't expect someone else to make you an ideal being. Only you can make the decision to be obedient to the Messiah.

Even in taking Holy Communion, receiving the bread and wine, you are making that decision: "Yes, I want to become part of the Messiah." The basic theme repeated all throughout the Principle and the Bible is the importance of obedience and submission.

What is indemnity? To undo what you have wrongly done and to do correctly what you haven't done. Since through our own volition we manifest things of evil, it is our responsibility to reverse this evil. Adam failed to obey God. The disciples failed to obey Jesus Christ and to accept him as who he was with no doubt whatsoever. Making that absolute connection with Jesus Christ was the disciples' responsibility. Because disobedience brought forth the fall, according to the law of indemnity obedience will bring forth the realization of God's ideal.

Nowadays the word "obedience" has been watered down into the word "surrender." It is the same word but colored in a different way so that people can somehow relate to and accept it. Obedience implies that someone will be in a superior position over you, which is distasteful in a world where independence is so highly regarded. No one wants to himself to another.

Relationship of Love

But when you look at it in a heavenly way, is a son inferior to his father? The father and the son hold different positions, but there is not just superiority and inferiority. There is a connection brought forth by love. Whatever I have within this loving relationship is yours and whatever you have is mine.

I am part of my father, an extension of him. Although we are each unique, we are one through the institution, the body, called family. Thinking that individuality requires the exclusion of others is very detrimental to the harmony and unity that we all desire in our hearts.

We have our individual freedom; we are free to do what we are born to do. God has promised us the right to have dominion over the creation. The ideal process to attain this possession is through inheritance from parents. Therefore, by centering upon parents who fulfilled their responsibility, man can inherit from them the blessings that were promised by Heavenly Father. But if we do not act according to God's conditions and standards, there is no way we can claim these promised blessings. Also we cannot rightfully claim anything that is outside the domain of True Parents.

Because of the Fall, man has been in a position lower than the creation itself. The process of offering things is a way for man to restore his wrongdoing and to gain proper dominion over the creation. Attaining dominion over creation is inevitable -- man has the potential to do whatever he wants with creation. But you must first put yourself in the position of being obedient to God to restore your failure, recreate yourself as an ideal being, receive the Blessing, and then you can take rightful dominion over creation. That was the ideal process, but fallen man has claimed things without centering upon God's commandments.

Even a small violation can destroy an absolute condition because not even one little thing can be compromised in a heavenly standard. If you do even one thing that is wrong, you may lose everything.

To make the foundation of substance, we have to choose the way of goodness, which is the way of the Messiah because he is the manifested Word of truth and goodness. Understanding the way of the Messiah, the way of Parents, gives us knowledge of what is right and good.

After we understand the way of our Parents, we must act according to it. The process of becoming part of True Parents begins by a foundation of faith, a personal resolve to obey the Parents and follow their ways. The point will come when Father will say, "Son, you have truly walked a way I can be proud of. You have brought forth a good result in my eyes. I will accept you as an ideal son, the embodiment of my word." Until you are granted this ideal status, the foundation of substance is not fulfilled. That decision ultimately comes from Father. The foundation of substance encompasses every little thing you do for the sake of the providence and every endeavor made to reach this position, fulfilling the faith Father has in you. If you can endure whatever hardship may come in the, future, and are absolutely committed to this goal, you will ultimately acquire the foundation of substance.

Be One with Parents' Standards

The foundation of substance means that you are becoming absolutely one with Parents' standards and ways with not even the slightest difference or discrepancy. Embodying Father is our ultimate foundation of substance.

If you are lacking the qualities of our Father, how can you claim to be like him? You must strive for the time when Father will recognize you as being an ideal person who resembles him. Until you receive that recognition, you have not truly fulfilled the foundation of substance. It is every man's obligation and responsibility to do this. So every day we are struggling to become like Father.

Because of man's irresponsibility we have to walk this course of suffering. I understand some of Father's suffering because I literally have seen all his scars. Having seen and touched them, I cannot forget what he's been through, though I myself never experienced being branded with a branding iron, or being tortured, strung up and struck by a stick or bat.

To truly embody True Parents you don't have to endure all of that. Father says by having absolute faith in and obedience to his words, we can become part of him and can receive the blessings that are to come from Heavenly Father. That is certainly a lesser indemnity!

Sometimes I hear people who have enough nerve to say, "Just my presence here in the Church should be enough and Father should be grateful that I am here, because without my presence and my efforts he cannot exist." Those people will be put aside. All of the wheat and weeds will be harvested together -- but the weeds shall be burned and purified. Think about all the accusation you will receive from your ancestors if you don't fulfill this opportunity to attend True Parents while they are living, to assist and serve them in doing God's work, and ultimately earn the status to govern mankind. You are to take the position of the first ancestors in God's direct lineage. It sounds wild and far-fetched, but that is how it is.

Jesus said that those who are the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first, because those who were chosen to be the first, the scribes, priests, and scholars, failed to receive Jesus, and thus became last. Because they failed, someone else had to fulfill their position. So the relatively insignificant people -- fisherman, beggars, thieves, and whoremongers -- were chosen to be his disciples, and became the first. John the Baptist was revered as the greatest prophet by the Israelites. But in Matthew 11:11, Jesus said "Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has risen no one greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Because John failed his responsibility, he became the least.

Be an Extension of True Parents

That means there is a concept of subject and object relationship. Someone must be in the parental position to govern mankind. Twelve tribes will exist and through them we can embrace all people and have a direct connection with True Parents. Just as the Messiah reflects the image of God, we are to ultimately reflect the Parents' image to mankind. Through us, Father can touch and govern mankind. If this world is to become an ideal family, Father must have dominion over his house.

I must give everything of myself to my Parents because everything has come from my Father and Mother. What I have received I must return. Adam and Eve were to give themselves absolutely to God. Although they might think other than what God intended, they should have put that aside in order to become part of God. But their individual desire was stronger than their commitment to obey God.

God could have chosen to exist alone, but He did not. He wanted the emotions that come from give and take action with an object of la% e. It is man's responsibility to become like Heavenly Father and accept that the ideal way is give and take between subject and object. It is also our obligation to subjugate any desire to deviate from the expectation of God.

God has given everything. He was willing to risk the Fall for the sake of the realization of His ideal. The actions committed by Adam and Eve and all the other chosen people who failed have brought great suffering; many times God repented that He created mankind. But because the desire to manifest love is so great, He has been willing to persevere through His suffering.

You must put yourself in the position to truly desire love and be willing to give everything that you value. What do we value? Joy and happiness. The reason that Adam and Eve chose to fall was because that seemed the way to greatest happiness. Many times we have to cast aside our individual inclinations toward some kind of self-gratification in the moment and become obedient to True Parents. We can receive true happiness only by embracing True Parents.

We must do our best to make our foundation of substance in our lives, feeling that, "Without True Parents my true happiness does not exist. I must do my best to live with True Parents every day of my life. I am willing to give every ounce of my energy for this goal."

It is important to realize what you can do and have confidence in your own ability while also remembering that humility is greater than anything. You are meant to bring glory to God every day all throughout your life, not just one moment. Of course when we do something good, we are proud of it. But I choose to put aside even the things that I do good because I know I need to bring glory to my Father as long as I live. He is existing for the greater family of mankind and is even willing to sacrifice his own children to fulfill the things that you haven't done.

The First Shall Be Last

Jesus described how even the workers who came in the last hour all were paid a penny. You are to become equal to all the prophets who have come beforehand. But it does not just end there. You are to become the first ancestors of God's new lineage. It is by the action of the Messiah that the ideal world will begin. If you do not accept this fact, you are repeating Satan's argument against humbling himself to humankind: "Why is he to be better than I? I am part of the creation. I served You before they came. I know what You want. I brought You a lot of result and joy. I attended You and did what You asked. Why am Ito be lower than these insignificant human beings? Look at how young, inexperienced, and ignorant Adam and Eve are. How can I put myself in a position which is lower than theirs? How can I serve these people?"

You must accept the ideal ways, whether you like it or not. The ideal way is for Satan, and the other angels, to become the objects of man, whether they like it or not. Whether woman likes it or not, she is to become an object to man. Whether you like this or not, the young are to become the objects of the elders, the child is to become the object of its parents. That is how God intended the ideal world to be.

Only a few will be chosen. If you are negligent in fulfilling your responsibility, your ancestors will not have the opportunity to become significant figures in the Kingdom of Heaven. You think you don't like following now. Just wait until you don't do it. Then you will be the last. You also have to be grateful. Without gratitude you cannot be in the realm of God. I am grateful because I can be part of God's ideal Kingdom. Even if you are least in the Kingdom of Heaven, you must have gratitude toward Heavenly Father.

You may have imagined Jesus said "Love your enemies" very softly and sweetly. That's what you want to hear. But don't you think he probably yelled at those disciples instead? He was angry at them because they weren't doing what they were supposed to. You have too much self-ness in your lives and the ways you are thinking. You try to interpret everything according to what you want to hear. I need to tell you these things strongly, forcefully, to drive them into your hearts.

How to Be Perfect

It's important to understand that fulfilling our responsibility to manifest God's expectation and desire is the most significant aspect of our daily lives. You must reach the point at which True Parents recognize who you are and who you can be. That is your ultimate foundation of substance. Everything matters. The process of growth is as important as perfection itself because without the ideal process of growth there is no ideal perfection. So in everything you must endeavor to reflect the expectation and desire of God.

You must do this until you die. Simple as that. That's how you should think. It makes your life much simpler than thinking you will be finished at a certain time and then being disappointed. If you cry for the sake of yourself, even the tears will look at you in a distasteful way. They will be disgusted: "Ugh. Did I come from that guy? Maybe I will jump into this other person's eye."

My mother's mother just passed away [Soon Ae Hong – Dae Mo Nim]. Her life, in the earthly sense, was very difficult. She had to become object to her own daughter, but she submitted absolutely, without any complaint, all throughout her life. She truly dedicated herself for the sake of the well-being of True Parents, praying and giving everything she had all throughout her life.

She realized the importance of True Parents and what they represent -- through these beings, humanity will be grafted into God's lineage. Nobody can be above True Parents since they represent Heavenly Father on this earth. To establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth as well as in heaven, there has to be the presence of God on earth. When True Parents are here, give your utmost to attend them in the right way. The Principle should be reflected in your attitudes.

Without the subject-object relationship there can be no oneness or order. As the false subject, Satan has demanded that we follow the subject-object principle centering upon his ideal and desires. He has abused the concept of subject-object and we have been deceived about the way to find happiness. But though people have tried all throughout history to find a better way, there is none. The ideal way is the Principle way.

I have stressed the importance of the subject-object relationship. It is very important for us not to reject that idea but to accept being an object to a subject with a grateful heart. Then everything will be okay.

Predestination

Our topic today is predestination. The most important aspect of Principle is to realize the meaning of responsibility. Responsibility is the absolute essence of Principle. This chapter reminds us of the significance of responsibility. From the beginning to end, this chapter is dedicated to man's effort, man's responsibility, man's portion in the grand sketch of God's ideal.

In the Principle we find that circumstances will be divided based on man's effort. In other words, God's Will can be either accomplished or lost based on man's effort. The realization of God's intention or purpose depends solely upon man's effort to unite with Heavenly Father, upon man's desire to understand what God expects of us, and, ultimately, upon man's endeavor to manifest God's expectation in our lives. It is important that we take the initiative. God does not categorically control the direction we take or the means we use. It is up to us. We have to initiate something of our own in order to bring fulfillment to God's ideal. That is very important. So once again, responsibility is the key issue in bringing fulfillment to God's ideal.

If you accept the word predestination in its conventional meaning, then God is omnipotent and created everything in His image and perfection. In addition, everything that occurs in the world is predestined. Whether it is good or bad, whatever you see in the world was meant to be. Before we go into a deep intellectual discourse on the word predestination, we have to understand what God has predestined. God expected to see the fulfillment of His ideal world based on love. God's ultimate purpose is to create a world centered on love, with God in the position of Parent and mankind taking the position of His children. God said, "I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it." (Isaiah 46:11) That is His purpose and goal: to manifest the ideal world centering on love.

Before we focus on the realization of God's ideal world, we have to discuss how we attain this world. Again, the answer lies in our responsibility. Through our responsibility and efforts to reach the ideal world, God can ultimately attain the ideal world. This is the significance of human responsibility.

Predestined Goal of God's Ideal

In order to reach the predestined goal of the ideal world, man's responsibility is absolute and inevitable. Without man's participation in the process of realizing God's ideal world, God cannot attain His predestined goal. Our responsibility is very significant and absolutely important.

Restoration can be possible because the ideal world is predestined. God expected to realize His ideal world, but man's portion of responsibility is essential if God is to attain His goal. No matter what, man hay to perform in accordance with God's plan. If man has deviated from God's ideal plan, then man must redeem himself, find his lost direction and return to God's expectation. We see, once again, our clear responsibility to make God's Will a reality.

God must restore man because man's responsibility is a crucial component in the process of fulfilling God's Will and attaining His ideal world. Please read the examples following the first page of the chapter. Man's responsibility is absolutely necessary. We need encouragement to go this course.

Just for a change of pace, let me speak about the interesting Korean word ung-su. Can somebody tell me what that means? You know how to read Korean, don't you? When I explain that it means manipulation, does that word connote something bad or good to you? What do you think? (Good.) You are crazy people! If you say that to the world, they will crucify you!

Let me give you an example. My children go to preschool. They do a lot of things there: they write, draw pictures and make funny-looking things. They bring them to me, filled with pride in their accomplishments. To their eyes I guess they look great; but to me, being much older and having seen many drawings that are much better, they look terrible! To my physical eyes, they look terrible. But I realize that my daughter tries to make the best drawing she possibly can, and she is proud to bring that drawing to me. She brings it to me in hopes that I can feel happy by looking at her drawing. She just wants me to be proud of her and to bring happiness to me. So what am Ito do in such circumstances? Should I shout, "It stinks; get it out of my face"? No, I should encourage her by saying things I don't mean. I do that with the good intentions of encouragement and motivating her to do more. Maybe someday she will become a great artist, so I want to encourage her potential. I feel something beyond the piece of paper she brings to me. I realize the effort which lies behind all of her effort. I want to encourage her writing, her drawing, her violin playing and her singing.

Why do I say this? Although we have not lived up to the absolute standard that Father has set for us, Father always gives us one opportunity after another. He encourages us, and at times scolds us, for our sake and for the sake of our future. Through this process, we can ultimately become the ideal beings God planned us to be; we can become the image of God.

Remember when Jesus told Peter that great suffering and death lay in his future? Peter responded by asking Jesus about the well-being of John. Jesus replied, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me." (John 21:22) Jesus was implying, "Who are you to ask that question?" Jesus' meaning behind his answer to Peter was that man's responsibility is so important it must be done no matter what. Someone has to bear the responsibility of restoring man and proclaiming God's way, God's ideal, God's plan, and God's intention to the fallen world so that people will return to the original path God laid out for man.

Jesus knew the course would be one of great suffering. He said, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." (Matt. 16:24)

Jesus meant those who want to receive the Kingdom of Heaven must bear the cross; people cannot come to him without going the way of the cross. The way of the cross means suffering and ultimate sacrifice. The course of great humiliation and suffering is our pattern.

Do we need to be encouraged to go this way? Yes, we do. Do we need to be inspired? Yes, we do. If there is any person in this room who can live without such inspiration and encouragement, raise your hand. What I mean by encouragement is the tasty, flavorful words that sometimes have to be created and presented, based on fact but phrased in a way that is appealing to those who are starving for such inspiration.

Find Our Sustenance in the Principle

For all of us, the source of inspiration should be the Divine Principle. Once you become so-called Moonies you don't represent anything but this. Period. You stop worshipping idols from the day you raise your hand and make your proclamation of becoming one with the Principle. However, I realize that you have not completely internalized the standard. You need to be inspired over and over. Whatever you desire in the movement has to come toward you in order for you to receive inspiration.

We talk about give and take and how important it is. Father has literally given us everything in this Principle. The Principle clarifies and gives us our view of the future. I don't want to over-dramatize this, but only through this can we clearly understand what has to happen. Only the Principle can cut through all the confusion that surrounds the history of man. All the bewildering courses men have walked through human history can be understood through the Principle.

The Principle gives us a sense of true identity. Once you truly know yourself you can become who you are meant to be. The self-help groups say, "The key to your success lies in knowing and understanding your identity. You must nurture and develop it. You must realize who you are and find some useful ways to channel it." The essence lies in knowing yourself. In order to have self-esteem you have to have some sense of your own value. The Principle means everything to our lives.

Father has given us everything, yet we fail to live up to our responsibility to follow the direction we are given. This has happened to us in the past, but don't continue to stray! I never like to be reminded of these things. Who does? I always like it when people mention what I do best! Although we have not fulfilled our responsibility in the past, Father is always encouraging us and inspiring us to move on. Through such a process, we can eventually accomplish our responsibility to return the things we have received. We have-been given everything including true life and the way to obtain God's love.

I'm not here to persuade you, but to tell you. I speak very differently to you than to others because I believe you accept Principle. Therefore I'm not here to persuade you how important Principle is. I'm here to tell you. If the word "tell" is too forceful, think of some synonym you like to hear.

When Father tells me to do something, I often don't like to hear it either. Why? Speaking from a worldly level, I hate some of the things he tells me to do. But I realize the importance of Principle and the importance of the subject and object relationship between father and son, so I push myself. I endure the hardship and my distaste for the direction I have received and persevere, subjugating myself.

I Exist for My Father

My heart longs to become one with Father because I realize I am his son; I am part of him. If I am to know myself, I have to know my origin. My origin is in him. How can I deny that? If I deny my origin, I don't value myself. I exist to give love to my parents. And without me, he cannot exist. If his essence is love, he does not exist without an object for his love. By saying these things, I encourage myself.

Almost every page of the Principle stresses the importance of man's responsibility. The whole chapter on Predestination is about man's responsibility and its importance.

It is our responsibility to realize how important True Parents are to us and to unite with them in every aspect of our lives. Whether we are sleeping, holding our children, going to work or resting, everything must be related to True Parents. I urge you to assess the relevance of your existence in front of True Parents. Why do I rest? So I can revitalize myself in order to accomplish more and bring better result? Because I know that my physical body is limited and I have to work within this domain? Is it because I try my utmost to be the most productive person I can be? Do you understand what I am saying? I want to become the most productive person in the eyes of God and True Parents.

Whatever we do, we should ask ourselves how it relates to True Parents. The relationship with True Parents is absolute and inseparable because it will be an eternal one. The underlying basis of our life of faith is to form such a connection with True Parents. How can we just brush them aside to focus on material things? Everything has to be related to the whole purpose. Do everything, even resting, as gratefully as possible. Spend well the time you are given to better yourself in the eyes of God and True Parents.

Although our lives might be difficult, we must find a way to bring results in our mission. Our mission is important. When you get frustrated, do you pray? I don't think so! You should, but you do other things, right?

Use caution in deciding how to overcome the kind of stress you may be facing at the moment. Everything you do should be related to the end result of fulfilling your responsibility. If exercising one hour a day, pumping iron, or jogging, will help you be a better man, then do it. But I must also remind you of what is right and what is wrong. Right is what will ultimately benefit, not harm, the whole. Evil is whatever harms the existence of God, True Parents or mankind. When you do something physical to relieve stress, be aware of the importance of your choices. Make decisions that will ultimately bring the right result and not interfere with the responsibility you bear as individuals. Your actions have to interlock with your goal: to bring about God's ideal world. Everything we do has to be effective and connected to this process.

When Father says you need to pray, he is talking about the ultimate release: just by thinking of God, all your trouble and suffering should just dissolve. Now that is difficult! But it is what Father expects. Think about Father's path: he had no one to rely on, to lean on, to inspire him to push on. The mere fact of God's existence and his understanding of God's Will were his sole inspiration. That was everything to Father.

Are you inspired more by Father's words or his actions? Just holding this book in your arms should inspire you. All your suffering should pass and all your worries be laid to rest. All your hostility, ill feelings, resentment, anger, frustration, and hate should be calmed when you hold this book and put it against your face. When you taste these words you should be a different person. That is what Father is saying, but I don't think you have reached that point! This book itself is not an inspiration to you. You have to hear news about activities Father has started because this book has little meaning to you.

The responsibility of the Messiah is to have dominion over the world, to represent Heavenly Father in the physical world. This means to be able to take care of the well-being of humanity, both spiritually and physically. So look at this book and be inspired!

Our Duty Is to Become an Ideal Person

Everything exists for our betterment. When you spank your child, you might temporarily "damage" that child's tissue, but in that destruction lies love and a standard of goodness. You cannot do anything you want. You have to make a distinction between what is right and what is wrong. Within righteousness and goodness dwells the greatness of love. But what is good and what is righteous? Love sometimes means taking the path of reprimanding a child, because he is doing something other than God's ideal. I take that course of action not because I enjoy it, but because my child needs it. If I get scolded then I deserve it, because I have the duty and obligation to become an ideal person. Responsibility implies that one can choose to be responsible or irresponsible. But it is our duty to become an ideal person. Therefore, it is our responsibility to accept the direction Father has set for our lives and obediently follow it. Otherwise, how can we establish an ideal world?

Is our fallen lifestyle predestined? Is it ideal? No. That is why we find the word indemnity. You may prefer to colorize the word indemnity by calling it reparation or expiation.

Father says if you want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven you must become like a child. A child has not yet put a value on life beyond his mother's milk and her caress. The child doesn't value fancy words, clothes or' attitudes. In the same way, once you understand true value and place the greatest emphasis on the bond between you and your parents, other things can be appreciated.

The reason I speak to you in simple terms is that you put too much emphasis on fancy words. If you don't respect what I represent, then I'm not fulfilling my responsibility. If you put me in the position to say these things so you can respect the position I hold, that is demeaning to me. If you evaluate me, you will be evaluated in the same manner and to a greater degree!

Therefore, do what is right. Every man has to be good. Every man has to be responsible. Every man has to emulate God. Every man has to take God's ways and adopt them into his life.

Christology

Chapter 7 of the Principle, Christology, is pretty straightforward. Here again, responsibility is addressed. Once we become responsible and one with our parents, we feel joy. Our parents feel joy.

In order to feel happiness, there has to be reciprocal action between subject and object. However, we are often selfish and don't want to be in the object position. Instead, we put ourselves in the subject position, choosing as our object an inanimate thing that brings contentment solely to ourselves. Such selfish people are never satisfied for in the end they regard other people as dispensable objects.

I truly believe Sunday represents the day God rested. It should be a day that is set aside to praise, glorify and worship God. Sunday is a day to glorify the reality and meaning of love; a day to praise and uphold the meaning of love. Sunday is a day to fulfill my responsibility of bringing ultimate joy to God and mankind. Sunday should be a day to rejoice, sing, and share words that come from our hearts. Sunday should be a day for sharing our beauty and our uniqueness in God's eyes with one another.

Demonstrate that you are voluntarily going God's way. Jesus said, "Elijah does come, and he is to restore all things." (Matt. 17:11) This statement refers to the relationship between Cain and Abel. In order for fallen man to be reinstated in his primary position, man has to take the responsibility of the fall onto himself and through his own accord set conditions so that restoration can occur. By making indemnity conditions, man demonstrates that he is separating himself from the way of evil to receive the way of God.

In preparing the way for Jesus Christ, John the Baptist stood in a position on a tribal level to touch the Israelites as a nation and embrace them. Jesus came to manifest the Kingdom of Heaven on earth in his lifetime. The Messiah was to unite with John the Baptist, resolving the problem of Cain and Abel's struggle. Centering on this Cain/Abel unity, the Messiah could embrace the nation and ultimately propagate the world.

Because of the fall, propagation occurred centered on Satan and ultimately manifesting the fallen world. So if we are to be restored back to God, the exact conditions of the fall have to be satisfied to have ultimate dominion over the world. False propagation, fallen nature number four, ultimately has to be restored.

The Early Church in Korea

Do you understand the meaning of tribal messiahship and why Father had to walk the 40-year indemnity course? Father had to walk the indemnity course for 40 years because the people who were prepared to receive True Father pushed him aside. It's your responsibility to know the history of the Unification Church. In 1945, many spiritual phenomena occurred to those who were in the position to take a stand in Korea. Koreans were yearning to receive direction. They had just finished 40 years of domination by Japan and they were yearning for a new direction. They paid indemnity as nation and were waiting for someone to take them away from the misery they had suffered under Japanese domination. Many people had been tortured and murdered under Japan's domination.

There was a skeleton Korean government filled with corruption, but the religious community was booming. Many religious groups existed at that time. In one particular denomination that had a conservatively estimated one million followers, the head figure received a revelation about True Father. In a dream he was told about the importance of True Father -- who and what he is. Based on that revelation, he sent his assistant to see Father He was inspired by the presence of Father and what he taught. The relationship lasted a while but ultimately diminished because Father was only a young man from North Korea, wearing ragged clothes and living in someone else's house. How could a person of established status lower himself to a person of such humble stature? So he just brushed Father aside.

Many of the 36 blessed couples testify that the reason they joined was their grandfather appeared to them in a dream and kicked them until they joined. Also the 72 blessed couples had much pressure from spirit world. When they met Father, they had a spiritual experience. They received revelations about True Father and his presence. Because of all the information they were receiving from spirit world, they could not deny that he was the Messiah. Thus early members joined because of spiritual pressure.

Many times, the only reason why you do things is because of the spiritual pressure upon you. In addition, horizontally there is the also pressure from your central figure. If left to your own volition, you would hardly ever accomplish what needs to be done. That is the reality of our situation.

So, Father had to restore the foundation that he had lost. If the prepared people had united with Father in 1945, they would have represented a tribe. With such a substantial number, Father could have had a strong impact upon Korea as a nation. From 1945, Father says he could have reached the world level in seven years. The number seven is significant because the whole process of restoration simply means recreation. That is why he stresses the number seven. Ideally speaking, that is what could have happened if those people had accepted and attended Father according to the heavenly schedule. If that had occurred, I wouldn't be standing here; you wouldn't be here. You represent the elders of that organization who were supposed to have accepted True Parents.

True Parents Are the Basis of True Unity

Centering upon True Parents, the chosen lineage is established. Centering upon that chosen lineage, all ideal beings in humanity will be grafted onto True Parents' and God's lineage. People may object to the need for True Parentship, out of the belief that everyone resembles God and tries to emulate God. Furthermore, everyone has the right to become a child of God and will ultimately be restored to Heavenly Father. Since all men and women will ultimately become an object to God, what will be the need for True Parents? To answer that, we must understand the basis of unity.

We tend to do things our own way until we face some kind of hardship that we cannot overcome alone; then we choose to unite. In other words, we choose unity out of our own convenience. If the ideal world were to appear based on such a notion of unity, the existence of conflict is inevitable. That is why you have to understand the importance of True Parents.

The absolute subject position, representing God, has to be established in this world in order for us to have ideal unity at all times. Otherwise, we will choose to unite at our own convenience. Unity for convenience is Satan's beloved concept. Socialism came from the liberal ideas of the Enlightenment, which proclaimed everything equal for everyone. Satan likes the concept that everyone should be equal in a physical sense, because he wants mankind as his objects. He assisted God in creating mankind, but his role was to become the servant of man. He objected to such a role and said: "If the ideal world is to come about in such a fashion, I will make a world based on my aversion to this kind of position."

In order for socialism to survive, it has to have a structure and form a government. Instead of serving its citizens, socialist governments pillage and steal from them, draining their blood and their very existence. That is the reality. Many people fall for that. How can you realize an ideal world centered on such concepts? It's impossible. That's why communist governments are failing. Democracies as well are crumbling because there is no true subject / object relationship.

In the last days, many false prophets and anti-Christs come to the people of the world proclaiming, "Here's the Messiah." What is left for the true Messiah is to persuade the people who have been hurt, manipulated and deceived historically. That is difficult. But 95 percent of that task had been prepared by spirit world. That is why all the revelations came in the early days in Korea. All those people had to do was to follow it, but they denied it.

"Chosen" Means Being an Object

Jesus came to be King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus represented the chosen lineage. I want to emphasize the word chosen, which refers to the object position. Something that is chosen is not self-induced. That is very significant. Father didn't choose to become the Messiah. He was chosen by Heavenly Father. Even for him, no exception was made in following the way of Principle. The word "chosen" has the greatest meaning in this case.

Before I came here I made a prayer to put myself in this position. Frankly speaking, I did not want to speak here today. These things should have been done by people in the position of John the Baptist chosen 45 years ago. You, who are filling that position, should have done it a long time ago. Now I am fulfilling that position for you by being John the Baptist to my Father.

You put me in this position. I accept it and am grateful. However, I remember the days I denied it. I have repented. So take your responsibility seriously. If you truly understand Principle and truly pray, you can understand these things on your own without me telling you.

I am concerned about your welfare. What are you going to do? Responsibility is not just for me, but for you also. Fulfill your responsibility. Take your responsibility seriously, because it is serious. If you think you can avoid even one iota, forget it. This is a friendly threat, an oxymoron! Take my advice. When I talk to you in simple language, please accept it.

Your heart, mind and spirit are more important than your body. Put your emphasis in the right place. You take care of yourself. I want to see all of you accomplish your responsibility. Jesus said that people will be rewarded according to their works. (Rev. 22:12)

Become Like True Parents

As a tribal messiah your responsibility is to become like True Parents. In other words, be an ideal being. Set the condition that can ultimately bring salvation to your lineage, to what you represent. All the ancestors you represent can receive benefit through you. This is a very difficult time because we have to try to restore what has been done in the past. Although we haven't necessarily done the same things our ancestors have done, the reason behind this method of restoration is the children are an extension of their parents. Because of that principle, what you represent has an absolute connection to the well-being of your ancestors, for you are an extension of them.

When Father had to walk the course of indemnity because of man's failure, he had to start on the individual level, from the servant of servant's position. As an individual he had to satisfy conditions to receive Heavenly Father in that "fallen" state. Don't take that word "fallen" in the wrong context. Father says, "Even I am a fallen being," because everybody is. What he means, is that as a man he was chosen by God to take the responsibility for human failure so he could ultimately redeem mankind through his presence. By mankind looking at Father in front of them, they can ultimately understand what they need to incorporate into their lives and realize they need to follow true parents. So once again, the important thing is the connection between parents and children.

The fulfillment of the ideal world is predestined. The significance of predestination is man's responsibility. In the process of reaching the goal, man is an absolutely important component. Man's presence is absolutely necessary.

Man must somehow separate from evil through his own accord. That is the meaning of the presence of the Messiah. That is why Jesus said on the one hand that he had fulfilled his work but on the other hand that he had to descend again. Ultimately he gave the key to the Kingdom of Heaven to Peter. The key to the Kingdom of Heaven lies in the hands of man and with men. Man must bring fulfillment. The reason True Parents exist is that we must have God's lineage in order to become children. There has to be a father physically on earth in order for Heavenly Father to dwell physically in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. That is the concept of True Parents. That is why Parents are absolutely necessary.

The Hebrews criticized Jesus for having been born illegitimately and rejected him on that basis. The process of choosing is divine; God chooses, not man. Since God chose Jesus to be His son, you can safely say that Jesus descended from heaven. There is that divine connection. There are many mysteries. I cannot say with specific detail what happened 2000 years ago. There is still a lot of work to do to convince the critics and the doubters.

I know my responsibility and the responsibility of the second generation. But what about you? Just looking at all the things Father is doing, gives me hope. I know that my brothers are much smarter than me, and that also gives me, hope. Some of my brothers are more eloquent than me which will make a difference in the world. But somebody has to be strong! I'm a heavenly bully, I guess.

Please give your utmost respect and attendance to True Parents. Can you promise that? (Yes.) Thank you.

Resurrection

The single most important element we need in order to redeem and restore ourselves to our primary position is our relationship to True Parents. Only through True Parents' blood lineage can we attain true love and unity. Through marriage we can attain some physical happiness and a family-level love, but in order for us to attain true love, God must be present within us. There are many things that we may call "love," but without the principle way and the presence of God, there is no true, eternal and absolute love. To attain this true love horizontally we need a physical representation of God, which is True Parents.

The key point is that to create the ideal foundation for true love, there must first be an ideal subject and object relationship. For us to feel ideal love with a man or woman, we must consummate the marriage relationship. When a man and a woman unite, they can feel their heart's desire substantially manifested. If we want to substantiate God's true love, we must have an ideal subject/object relationship with Heavenly Father.

First, we have to understand the source of love: God. We call our parents the subject because they are the source of our life. There must always be a subject and object relationship because there must be a center. If we want to become a part of a family, we must have parents. There has to be a common ground that brings people together and unites them as a whole. Only through Heavenly Father can we all become one.

The ideal world is like an ideal family. If we are to duplicate this family atmosphere in the world, there has to be a parental figure -- a central figure, a leader or a subject. That is the importance of the subject/object relationship. Someone must take the place of Father and Mother in their absence. They cannot be everywhere at once, so their love must be spread through the propagation of children. People can come together centering on the children, who represent their parents.

Dwelling in God's Domain

Today I would like to talk about Resurrection. The Principle explains God's desire to find someone who can truly represent His will and His desires. It says in Daniel 5:21: "... the Most High God rules the kingdom of men, and sets over it whom He will." It almost sounds as though God is doing things randomly. But the important point is that Heavenly Father desires the ideal world. When you look at the end of the chapter on Resurrection, it says that the ultimate purpose of restoration is to restore mankind.

I feel that the chapter on Resurrection explains a very significant understanding of life and death. There is life based on goodness and life based on evil. True life means to dwell within the domain of Heavenly Father. Death means to deviate from the position within the realm of Heavenly Father's love.

Heavenly Father said to Adam and Eve that if they took the fruit of good and evil, they would surely die. And yet they took it. Physically, they were not dead. But they met their spiritual death by disobeying God's commandment, thereby leaving God's domain. The commandment actually distinguishes between what is the ideal domain and what is not. It clearly separates good and evil. If man follows God's word, he will remain within the realm of God. That is important.

Only within God's domain can man achieve oneness with God. Once you are out of it, there is no more unity with Heavenly Father, and thus no true eternal life. You can have everything: you can be fruitful, multiply, and have dominion over the earth, as long as you abide by the commandment set forth by God. That is the condition. It is very significant, because it clarifies what is right and what is wrong, what is of the ideal world and what is of the unideal world.

Death is the position of having been separated from the domain of God's love. In order for us to return to the position of God's love, we must find the domain of God, which was the Garden of Eden before the fall. Adam and Eve were to have become direct heirs to Heavenly Father.

Establishing God's Presence

That is why Jesus was described as the second Adam. In order for us to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, God's presence must first be established. God is our ultimate Parent. Jesus always clearly distinguished himself from Heavenly Father. He basically said: "I am His son; He is my Father. I am within Him and He is in me, but He is not me and I am not Him." He always put himself in the position of son. Parents and son are clearly two different entities, but through the blood lineage they are one. That is also the distinction between God and man. Through the blood lineage God and man are to become one.

God originally chose Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden to be His son and daughter. He gave them three blessings. When they multiplied and had dominion over the world, God would be a part of that creation.

Adam and Eve were created to become the first true parents. Since they didn't, Jesus was described as the Second Adam. Now we need the second advent of the Messiah because Jesus' goal to bring complete salvation to mankind, establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, was not fulfilled. The people failed to unite with him. That is why this world is still far from an ideal condition. That is why we are still struggling to separate good and evil in our lives. Is it God's intention that good and evil coexist all around us? Never! The ideal of God is to manifest His Kingdom centering upon His ideal!

It is sometimes very difficult for you to receive Father's direction or take certain directions from central figures. What do you need in order for you to be obedient? Jesus had to tell the people. "If I do not the work of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though you believe not in me, believe the works that you may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in Him" (John 10:37). Many times we ask our Parents or our leaders for proof.

Jesus was concerned that there would be people claiming to be the Messiah in the last days. He knew that because we have experienced the unideal way of life, it is difficult for us to distinguish what is right and wrong. Many people have taken advantage of innocence and integrity. We ask these kinds of questions, "Where is the proof, how can I believe you?" because we have been deceived by Satan from the beginning of time. Satan told Adam and Eve if they only ate the fruit they would become like God. But the only way that Adam and Eve could become like God was by uniting with Him and receiving the Blessing. In order for Adam and Eve to become like God, they should have understood every little detail of God, to think, talk and feel like Him.

Accepting True Parents

Many of you are now blessed. Is it difficult for you to imagine True Parents as your parents? (Yes, sometimes) I can understand that difficulty. All of us are the victim of man's irresponsibility. But we are here to spread the joyful news that will bring the fulfillment of God's will. Within your lives it is important for you to accept this new way of thinking and even desiring. You have to desire in a way which will bring forth the realization of the ideal into your lives. You must accept True Parents as your parents, because the Kingdom of Heaven is a global family.

In order for you to truly accept your parents, you cannot be in a position to judge them but to receive them. That is very important. But based upon your own assessment you often say you haven't received enough, so you complain. Father puts great emphasis on indemnity because that is very important.

Oneness for the human race will be attained through the True Parents, who are the people chosen by God to be His representatives. But in reality there are so many races in our world. God's concept was that the chosen people should spread His teaching. Through these chosen ones the rest of mankind can be engrafted, receive salvation and be redeemed to God. Through engrafting into the lineage of God's chosen representatives mankind can attain oneness, transcending race, national, cultural and religious barriers. There has to be a point of origination.

The Blessing is very important. After you receive the Blessing you represent the citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. What you represent is, hopefully, the ideal being, because you understand the Principle, you understand True Parents, and you accept God's presence. Only through the Blessing can you have a foundation to restore your fallen lineage. The Blessing means being engrafted into True Parents spiritually. But in order to receive the Blessing, you have to pay a certain redemption price. Through your arduous efforts you have laid the foundation to receive the Blessing. What you have been doing is reversing the process of the fall.

Investing for the Sake of God

Through your desire to become one with God you are willing to sacrifice everything. The key point is investing your whole self for the sake of God. The responsibility of Adam and Eve IA as to give themselves wholeheartedly and absolutely to Heavenly Father, keeping a place in their hearts to embrace and accept and invite Heavenly Father at all times. But they didn't offer themselves completely to God. They went along according to their desires. That was the seed of the fall.

Leading up to the Blessing one has to commit himself completely to True Parents. Only through the Blessing can children have no original sin. But the same effort has to be given after the Blessing. There has to be a clear separation from your fallen lineage to your new lineage. You must accept the new parental ways. Jesus said many times you have to separate completely from your family and the world, and come to him. You have to cut yourself off absolutely from your old way of life and become new by accepting only Jesus and the way of the Messiah.

It is very tricky at this time of restoration because we are responsible to reach out to so many secular people. We have to clearly distinguish between offering ourselves to these people and fulfilling a heavenly standard in front of True Parents. Sometimes we are like a servant of servants, being influenced by unideal ways. Our ultimate goal must always be for us to bring people back to Heavenly Father. That is why I bend over backwards to try to make relationships with the secular world. I want to become part of them so I can ultimately restore them back to the right way of life.

Through the Blessing you have received everything. You are restoring the process of the fall. Centered on Satan, Adam and Eve bore evil children. True Parents represent the physical establishment of God, so through their consent you are being blessed. Based on this we are putting ourselves in a position of total offering: my life, my family, even my possibility of having a family. Our ultimate purpose in life is to have a family and children and through them feel love, joy, and happiness.

We are willing to just entrust our ultimate goal in life to True Parents. That's a complete offering. Through the Blessing you can completely transform yourselves and ultimately your lineage.

A Gift to the World

Centering upon perfected Adam and Eve, ideal propagation should have occurred, expanding itself to the level of God's ideal Kingdom. Now that will come through Father's family. And as that original family multiplies, more and more blessed families will be engrafted to it. Through these marriages, the oneness of blood lineage centered on God can ultimately be achieved. I already have four children. Whether I have a son or a daughter, I am always grateful. Every time I am in the delivery room I mike sure that my attitude is not biased as to what I am about to receive. We have to receive, because everything God does has true value. I just had another daughter. When I have a daughter, it means someone else's blood lineage will be coming into my family. It is different from a son. A daughter is truly an offering, a gift to the world. A woman is a field. So I am accepting your seed in my field.

Sometimes, although I hate disease, I feel it has some value because it puts me in a more humble place. Through suffering I can understand God better. If any of my children become sick, through that experience I can understand at least partially how God felt when He lost Adam and Eve, because I can't do anything about it. I just sit there helplessly. It's very difficult and painful.

Sometimes I try to visualize an ideal world without fornication, homosexuality, killing and other evil things. I don't think half of the diseases we know about would exist if the fall had not happened. When we deviate from the ideal direction of God we have to pay a price. We must even be grateful for the evil circumstances that surround us, because through this miserable suffering maybe we stiff-necked people can throw away our arrogance and realize what God expects of us.

Some passages in the Bible contain pretty disturbing situations. There is so much condemnation and damnation emphasized. When God took the way of judgment and punishment, it was as a last resort. Even in a democracy fear is sometimes used to attain order. When you realize that something you treasure can be lost, you certainly want to check your perspectives again. I certainly am not going to sit still if my children behave irresponsibly. I am going to do everything in my power to adjust their ways and hope that they can accept the right way. It is very easy for you to say, "Whom am I to say what is right or wrong?" But it is your responsibility to understand and be able to separate good and evil. Without that kind of understanding you are accepting the legitimacy of Satan. When the absoluteness of God diminishes, the legitimacy of Satan increases.

Absolute Offering

Do you understand the meaning of resurrection? It means man's effort to restore himself from Satan's dominion back to God's dominion. Adam and Eve deviated from the domain that God had created in the beginning because they didn't offer themselves completely. A partial offering doesn't count. So within the restoration process there has to be a condition of absolute offering. If you abide by the way of Principle and follow Father's direction absolutely, your status becomes that of an ideal being.

What is an absolute offering? During the era of the perfection level, the most significant aspect of our responsibility is to attend to and follow the Messiah. The providence of restoration is divided into formation, growth, and perfection levels. In the Old Testament Era the way of goodness was determined by deeds. In the Principle book it is described as the age of justification by deed. The second level, or growth level, is the age of justification by faith. Now, in the Completed Testament Era, the main point is justification by attendance to our True Parents.

After Jesus departed from this world, people could receive some kind of redemption just by following the words he spoke during the short time that he was present on this earth. They could receive some kind of redemption, but the ultimate goal is for man to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, that is, recreating the Garden of Eden.

That means having ideal parents who represent God within our lives. God wants us to fulfill our position as filial children because during Jesus's time the people killed Jesus Christ. He didn't have time to become the bridegroom. He never had a chance to become a true parent in a substantial s% ay. What if he had not just set up his disciples as the leaders of twelve tribes, symbolizing his children, but had a family and 12 children who could be the leaders of the 12 tribes?

Our ultimate goal is to have Parents within our lives and to live and flourish with them. That is the only way we can begin the ideal process that God intended. So at this time it is very, very important for us to attend True Parents. Can you serve the will of the Messiah when you are assessing everything according to what you want and you don't want? Please, you have to understand your position.

There has to be order within the Kingdom of Heaven. People who have given themselves extraordinarily for the sake of God will come closer to Him more quickly. Those of you who work with me closely understand, but for those who just see me from a distance, it is very difficult to understand because externally you and I are not different. You must realize that only through True Parents' family will the blood lineage be passed down. As the true children multiply, you will eventually be engrafted into their direct lineage. But those who have come to the True Parents family a little earlier than others are those who have offered themselves to True Parents in a much greater way than you have. Some elders served Father for over 30 years through many trials and tribulations during the beginning of the Unification Church. But eventually everybody will become children of True Parents. Whether you are a grandchild, grand-grand-grandchild, or a grand-grand-grand-grand-grandchild, you are still a child.

Jesus many times told his followers that in order for them to attain his friendship they must follow him. That was to encourage the kind of oneness that he desired from his followers. If I even see just a little fragment being scattered away from the whole, it hurts me. Perhaps I should find a more diplomatic way to explain my theme. Maybe I would do that if I were addressing myself to people other than you, but do I really need to search for the appropriate language so it won't hurt your feelings?

It is inevitable that you will have subject and object relationships in your lives. You can dispel all your arguments and discontentment if you have a full grasp of the Principle. You won't need anybody to tell you what to do and what not to do. You will guide yourself. You will absolutely follow Father without any question. You have to earn this understanding. Pray and really try to do it on your own.

I know my position. I am absolutely grateful to True Parents. Because of them I can stand here and receive God's blessings. And I will carry their tradition on to my children.

Unconditional Attendance

Your responsibility is to attend and serve True Parents. Only by fulfilling that attendance can you receive the true blessing of becoming one with the True Parents' family. You have to know your position. You have to completely offer yourselves to True Parents. That's the only thing Jesus wanted the disciples to do. He emphasized it in almost every chapter in the Bible. After that foundation was established, Jesus gave them directions to love their enemies and their fellow men.

So the most important thing is that you must follow absolutely. All the things that Father is doing will benefit you ultimately. Little by little you are feeling the effect. Members now feel proud to represent The Washington Times, for example. CAUSA lecturers have a certain prestige when they stand in front of dignitaries. But the CAUSA worldview is derived from VOC and the Principle. Father laid the foundation for everything and has literally supported you every step of the way.

What I am doing is not for myself. I really want to help you serve Father better. My message is sometimes direct. But I say what needs to be said because I think you can understand it.

We have to redeem ourselves to our primary position. We must give ourselves absolutely within our lifetime to True Parents. That is the purpose of resurrection. Jesus would not have needed to resurrect if the ideal world had been established and goodness multiplied. But now the bottom line is you have to understand that the way for you to be resurrected, or born again, is to offer yourself absolutely to True Parents.

When I want to give something to Father, I give the utmost that I can possibly offer. "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars (I Cor: 15:41)." There are glories of the stars, but it's different from the sun and the moon. So I want to offer the best that Father can have. Not because he wants it, but because I want to offer it. But many times you don't think in that kind of orderly fashion. If you understand the Principle, you will act accordingly.

It's very important to have that kind of concept of position in your lives, and based upon that concept, act. I know what my position is. My position is clearly different from Father's position. When he is not here, I represent him, but that doesn't mean I am him. I am his eldest son. There are many people who represent me, but they are not me. They clearly have to know that.

So, what must you do in order to be resurrected? You have to attend True Parents absolutely. Do it out of love. You know how much I struggle every time I stand here. But I try to appreciate this experience because I want to attend and serve my father. Going to school is the most difficult thing for me. But I do it for you, for your children, for my children, for Father. That's how I think. Father always tells me, "You are doing that for yourself." Yes, I am doing it for myself, so I can better represent my position. If I do that, my children will reap the benefits.

Please try to find gratitude in every corner of your life, whatever you do. It is very easy for me to be happy when I am doing certain things I like. But even when I speak, although I am having a hard time, I am grateful. After I go home I feel free. I did what I had to do and I feel free, although it was difficult.

I am pretty terse in speech. I believe a man should have few words. The only reason I am speaking so many words is because there are people who expect many words. Father doesn't like to speak so many words, either. I know his character. When he speaks to me, it is often just one simple sentence. I have to take it from there and try to understand. That is my portion of responsibility. But that is what is right, because he has raised me up to this level where I can realize these things on my own.

Everyone has responsibility to realize the will of God and to do their deeds centering upon the will of God. It is your portion of responsibility to realize the importance of Father's direction and to manifest it within your life. Thank you.
