Leaders of the Women's Federation for World Peace who have come to Korea from the nations of the world, and leaders of the women's associations of Korea!

I consider it a great honor to be able to share part of my beliefs about world peace with all of you women leaders from around the world and every domain of Korean society.

We are arriving at an important transitional era, entering a world on oneness which transcends the barriers of ideologies, the differences between languages and cultures, and racial conflicts. It is not by change that we women are holding this conference for the sake of a new world of love and peace today. It is the providence of God; it is predestined, necessitated by the rushing flow of history.

Until now, in history the role of men has been emphasized. The institutions of society and the world have been centered on men. Unfortunately, we cannot help but conclude that the reality of the world led by men has been, in short, a history of conflict and sin. Isn't it because of this world of conflict and sin that we have dreamed of a world of happiness overflowing with peace and goodness? Because most of human history has been filled with war, revolution, fighting, oppression, domination, conflict and violence, the masculine logic of power made sense and the masculine ideologies dominated. The present age is different.

The history of today is calling for peace, reconciliation, compassion, love, service and sacrifice. It is an age in which the present problems cannot be solved by the masculine logic of power.

There is no longer any need for ideologies which oppress humanity. This is the age when the present problems must be solved by the more feminine logic of love, and the direction of history must be straightened out.

The 21st century is less than ten years away. Now communism, which has trampled humankind mercilessly while insisting on violent revolution and class struggle, is speaking its last words. World opinion has united into one voice saying that there must be no more war. These facts are signs proclaiming the opening curtain of a new age of women, and the historical transition announcing the arrival of an age of the liberation of women around the world.

Pioneer the future

Leaders of the Women's Federation who have gathered from around the world! At this historical gathering, I do not wish to offer mere ceremonial greetings. I wish to proclaim before history the meaning of the past, present and the future.

In this era of the historical transition heading toward cooperation and understanding, I want to present the great principle for the construction of the eternal world of peace based on Godism. To establish a goal for the women who will pioneer the future world, in this address "World Peace and the Role of Women," I would like to present to you the ideology of Godism and Headwing thought which my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon has already advocated.

Originally God created an object of love in order to feel joy. To create one masterpiece a sculptor works day and night, invests his youth and all his strength. Where does the heart of such a sculptor come from? Doesn't it resemble the heart of God who created an object of love in order to feel joy?

If we look at the world of existence, we can see that everything has an inherent duality. Minerals, plants, animals and people all exist in pairs. Therefore, in the world of humankind there are men and women; in the animal kingdom, there are males and females; and in the plant kingdom, there are stamens and pistils. On the molecular level, there are positive ions and negative ions. On the atomic level, there are protons and electrons. The whole world of being consists of pairs. To say that things exist in pairs means they exist with reciprocity and all beings exist centered on love. It means that without a reciprocal being to live for and love, no being can exist.

Do you know why all beings live in pairs? It is in order to have an ideal relationship centered on loving each other. Anywhere in this world, if one does not have a reciprocal being with whom to have a give and take of love, there can be no interaction. There can be no existence or multiplication without interaction.

A being without interaction is the same as a dead being. The reason God created man is that He absolutely needs an object to love. In human society the hearts of parents who want their children to become better than themselves have their roots in the heart of true love which God had when He created humankind.

The heart of wanting one's reciprocal object to be better then oneself is originally due to the true love of God. If God invests 100, the being has only the value of 100; but God wants to invest more than 100, so He forgets and invests again. Finally, the reciprocal object becomes bigger than oneself; one still continues to forget, until one invests one's life. This is where true love begins.

God's true love is love which forgets that it has invested, so it invests again, and again, and again. If the memory of having given remains, then love cannot flow endlessly. Because love moves endlessly, one must not hold onto the memory of having given. Even if one gives and gives again, love continues to flow because the memory of giving does not remain.

In essence, true love means God's absolute love. Included in love is the right of inheritance. By becoming one with God, the logic of eternal life is proven; the family and society which practice true love will not be destroyed and will develop throughout eternity. If man, who was created as God's object, had not disobeyed God's words, had grown according to God's will and had inherited unchanging true love from God, our human world would have begun with a history of peace. There would not have been the miserable history of the bloodshed of war. In that true love, the confrontation and conflict between nations, societies and, of course, individuals would be surpassed and melted away, and a true world of peace would be realized.

Wrong inheritance

Because of the fall of the human ancestors, humankind could not completely inherit true love. Unfortunately, because man was not able to become perfect as the reciprocal object of God's true love, the position of True Parents, who were to be the substantial representatives of true love in place of God, was not filled either.

What is the fundamental cause of the fall of the first human ancestors? In the Bible, it says it is because they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. After they ate the fruit, what did they cover? They should have covered their mouths, but they covered their lower parts of their bodies. This means that they had entered into an immoral sexual relationship, centered on Satan. This is the fundamental cause of the multiplication of the evil blood lineage.

The origin of true love, true love and true lineage is the sexual organs of love. Through the fall, these sexual organs of love, which should have been holy, became the wicked place which destroyed heaven's principle. They became the headquarters of evil. Thus the seeds of false love, false life and false blood lineage were sown. Adam and Eve, the ancestors of humankind, fell while still immature--as teenagers. Because they fostered evil in that way, the blood lineage of evil historically spread from there throughout the human world.

When the time of harvest, in the Last Days, comes, throughout the world young people like Adam and Eve will destroy the ethics of love and tend towards corruption. When we see this phenomena, we will know that the age of Satan's authority has reached its climax. The present time is the day of judgment, when God's rod of iron will come down. In history the cities and countries which were sexually immoral in God's eyes were all destroyed.

Look at the advanced countries of the world today: America, Europe and Japan. Who can stop the tide of sexual immorality and free sex which is pouring in from all directions? Humankind, which fell and came to be on Satan's side can be symbolized by wild olive trees. Fortunately, among them, God separated out some people to be wild olive trees in the realm of religion. They are the wild olive trees who belong to God, so God can freely dominate them. They were prepared so that when the Lord of the Second Advent came they could easily be cut and grafted all at once. At that time, finally, the wild olive trees return to their original state by becoming true olive trees. Therefore, people who believe in religion must find their original True Father because they were born unable to receive the original seed of life from him.

The ideal of goodness could not be realized as sons and daughters linked to the blood lineage of God centered on true love; therefore, the Messiah must come. The Messiah is he who comes as the True Parent. As True Father and True Mother, the True Parents come and cast out Satan and carry the serious responsibility of establishing the world of peace and the heavenly world of freedom and liberation.

Of course, we must define the image of the True Man, and also the images of the True Mother, True Wife and True Daughter. We must also attend the True Father who established the tradition of worldwide historical victory and the True Mother who has become the world level victorious representative of women.

Woman's responsibility

We women have the responsibility to solve the resentment of Adam and Eve's destruction by properly guiding men who have led disorderly and chaotic lives.

Distinguished leaders of all spheres of the Women's Federation here and abroad! In the era of women which has arrived, we must spread, to the whole world, a model movement of the realization of true love in which we embrace our husbands and raise our children properly. By doing so, we should gain the active support of our husbands and children, and develop the Family Federation for World Peace.

The Women's Federation for World Peace is not a movement for women alone. It must bear the fruit of ideal families through a movement of true love for our husbands and children.

Ideal families realized like this will join together and create the ideal nation and world. That is the reason the Women's Federation for World Peace must develop into the Family Federation for World Peace. For that reason, women must take a leading role in politics, economics, culture, and each area of society to realize world peace.

Godism and Headwing thought are the fundamental system of values that our Women's Federation should espouse to unite the left and right-wings, to overcome atheistic materialism, and to guide the future after the 21st century.

Let us all go forward together to the world of peace centered on the True Parents who have the leading role in true love, cultivating our families as the dwelling place of true parents, true couples and true children.

Let me close my address by wishing God's blessing on all of you, your families and your nations.

The Central Role of Women in the Ideal World

Members of the Women's Federation for World Peace; It gives me great joy and honor to stand be for you today as president of this Federation. I would like to thank all those members and supporters who worked to prepare this rally. I would also like to thank those who travelled here from Japan in order to participate in the preparations.

Today, I will speak on the topic, "The Central Role of Women in the Ideal World."

If someone were to ask you whether you think we live in a world that is predominantly good or predominantly evil, what would be your answer? I think you would reply that we live in a world of evil. It is not simply our world today that is evil. All the societies and nations that have existed throughout history have been evil as well. Evil actions have prevailed over good deeds. The world has seen more war than peace; more injustice than justice; more hatred than love; more division and strife than unity and harmony.

No one is satisfied to live in such a world. In fact, humankind has constantly sought for a way to break away from the world of evil and build a new world of true love, overflowing with peace, freedom and happiness. All individuals and all leaders on every level of society--whether the family, tribe, nation, state or world--share a common desire to accomplish a world of peace, freedom and happiness. The fact is, however, that despite all efforts since the beginning of human history, we have failed to achieve this dream and ideal.

Today, I would like to explain the fundamental reason for this failure. Then, I will propose a way in which we can finally accomplish the ideal world of our common desire. The ideas and concepts I am about to express do not come as the result of mere human intellectual exercise. As you are aware, my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, has devoted a lifetime to resolving this issue. During my life of attendance to him, I have been profoundly moved and inspired by his life of tireless acts of devotion, motivated by a deep love for God and humanity.

When a wife, leading a life of attendance to her husband, receives deep insights into God's truth and is profoundly inspired by her husband's character and life, she has a responsibility to tell the world about her experiences. This is so, because the origins of today's evil world of conflict and rampant decadence can be traced to the breakdown and disharmony in the fundamental husband-wife relationship.

Today, more than five billion people are alive on this earth, but when you think about it, there are only two people: man and woman--that is, husband and wife. A great many people are living side by side in our world, giving rise to all sorts of relationships and problems. Essentially, however, all these problems can be traced directly or indirectly to the man-woman relationship and the various issues associated with that relationship. Thus, it becomes important for us to examine the life of our original ancestors that is the first man and the first woman established on earth by God at the time of His creation, and try to discover the heavenly path that was intended for them to follow.

According to the biblical record in the Book of Genesis, God first created the heavens and the earth. Then he created one man, Adam, and one woman, Eve. He gave them the three great blessings, along with a portion of responsibility. In blessing them He said: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. (Gen. 1:28)" In giving responsibility to man and woman, He said: "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat...(Gen 2:17)"

These words teach us about God's purpose in creating this universe, and also reveal to us the essence of human existence. God's blessing to "be fruitful" means that all persons born on this earth should grow to become persons of completed character. The second aspect of His blessing involves a man and woman, each possessing completed character, coming together in a husband-wife relationship, to bear and raise children as parents. God's purpose of creation is for man and woman to fulfill their roles as husband and wife standing at the head of a family, that is, to be a father and mother. We are then to contribute to the general welfare by helping to build a world of greater convenience and greater abundance. It is God's purpose to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

For this purpose to have been accomplished at the time of the original human ancestors, Adam and Eve needed to keep God's commandment not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. However, before Adam and Eve reached perfection, that is, while they were still in a state of immaturity, they broke this commandment. They committed the fall by means of Satan, and brought about a situation whereby all humankind would inherit an evil lineage.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let us ask ourselves about this fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that God entreated Adam and Eve not to eat. It was not a literal fruit of a literal tree. In this commandment, God was telling Adam and Eve that the love which each of them possessed was meant to be brought together in union after they eventually became husband and wife, sometime in the future. IN the meantime, God was saying that their love should not be tempted by any third party during the time of their immaturity in such a way that an illicit sexual relationship would take place. In fact, such a third party existed in the Garden of Eden, in the form of the archangel. The Bible identifies the archangel that tempted Eve into committing the sin of illicit sex, as Lucifer. This was the fall of the original human ancestors, the original sin that caused the roots of sin and evil to be embedded deeply in human society.

Thus, human beings committed a sexual sin before God the Father, who presides over all heaven and earth. From the time of the original ancestors, humanity has formed an evil world in which descendants are procreated by means of illicit love.

Starting from the level of the individual, human society has expanded through the levels of family, tribe, nation, state and world. The evil lineage that originated with illicit sexual relations has cast its roots into every level of our world. The roots of this lineage are evident at all times and at all places in our world. It is for this reason that this world, instead of becoming a Kingdom of Heaven on earth, has become a hellish world filled with crime, war and fear. The fallen original human ancestors, Adam and Eve, were to have established themselves in the position of the eternal true parents of goodness, for all of humanity. Instead, they descended to the position of false parents, leaving behind them a lineage of evil.

Thus, the fall of Adam and Eve, and the evil lineage descended from them, represents the primary cause behind the unhappiness and tragedy experienced by all of humanity throughout history, and even today. Nothing can be more tragic than the fact that all the world's people lost their chance to have true parents and became, instead, the descendants of false parents. This was a tragedy for God as well. God's purpose of creation was to establish true original ancestors who would multiply into a true human race. Imagine His sorrow--imagine how great His pain must have been when the illicit fall of the original human ancestors caused Him to lost the entire human race to a lineage of evil.

If we are trying to save a person suffering from some physical illness, we must first find the cause of the disease, and then administer the appropriate treatment. In the same way, in order for human society to be liberated from the pain of sin and unhappiness, we must first find the fundamental cause of sin and unhappiness. This fundamental cause is the fall of the original human ancestors, or the original sin. Unless we remove the cause of this illness called original sin, we will never be able to completely eradicate sin and unhappiness from the world. Saints, heroes, great scholars, statesmen and philosophers may try to set this world right by creating better laws and institutions, or by educating people in morality. Such efforts are doomed to fail, however, unless they are based on a knowledge of the contents of the human fall, that is of the original sin. The deep roots of sin and unhappiness will continue to sprout new buds.

Religion, on the other hand, tells us that humankind fell, reveals to us the content of this fall, and gives us direct and indirect knowledge about the providence of God to achieve the total salvation of humanity from the world of sin. For this reason, all major religions can be considered the most aggressive form of treatment for the purpose of achieving salvation, by changing this world of evil into a world of good. The Korean word for religion, jong-kyo, can be written by using two Chinese characters--one character signifying the summit or highest peak of a mountain, and the second signifying teaching. Together, the characters mean "supreme teaching," or, in English, "religion." The teachings of the four great saints, Confucius, Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed, and teachings by other great religious leaders, transcend historical eras and geographic distances, to act as the primary force for the preservation of the human conscience and morality, and the development of culture. Thus, all these religions are partners in the task of bringing the world of evil to a close, and building a new and ideal world that is the desire of God and humanity.

In particular, Christianity has received the most direct revelation regarding God's salvation providence, and thus occupies the central position among all religions. We see in the Bible that human history is actually a record of the divine providence to recover the purpose of God's creation, which was lost when the original human ancestors, Adam and Eve, committed the original sin, and became false parents. The central point of the Bible's message is that the Messiah, that is, the True Parents, must come in he place of Adam and Eve, who became false parents, so that all people may be reborn. It was God's original purpose of creation that Adam become the true father of humankind, and Eve become the true mother. In order to restore this purpose, God has had to carry out a providence to recreate Adam.

This, in fact, was the central goal in the preparation of the Israelites as God's chosen people, and in the birth of Jesus. When Adam and Eve committed the fall, and humankind began to multiply through Satan's lineage of evil, God immediately began His providence for the separation of the lineages of good and evil. In the family of Adam, a separation was created between the second born, Abel, located in a relational position with God, and the first born, Cain, located in a relational position with Satan. God established a plan so that the natural order of His original creation could be re-established in the family of Adam, through a natural subjugation of Cain before Abel. This opportunity was lost, however when Cain murdered Abel, and human history entered a prolonged period of separation and struggle between good and evil.

God worked through Noah, Abraham, Isaac and then Jacob. With the assistance he received from his mother Rebecca, Jacob succeeded in the natural subjugation of Esau, who was the older of the twin brothers. In this way, Jacob performed a decisive role in establishing the Israelites as God's chosen people. Jacob's son Judah had as his daughter-in-law Tamar, who bore him twin sons, Perez and Zerah. Perez fought with Zerah while the two were still in Tamar's womb. Zerah was to have been born first, but Perez pushed him aside to become the first born of the two.

This struggle between first-born and second-born was a struggle of good and evil, taking place in the mother's womb. The younger brother defeated his older brother, to become the first born, thus accomplishing restoration in the womb.

Examining the lineage of Perez, who was born as a result of this process of restoration within the womb, we see that his fortieth descendant was Jesus Christ, who came as the Messiah. Mary, the mother of Jesus, in order to conceive the baby Jesus, had to pass through an extremely dangerous situation, which could have resulted in her death, and she demonstrated a high standard of dedication in this process. The original human ancestors, Adam and Eve, engaged in illicit sexual relations as a result of temptation from Lucifer, who became Satan, passing on a lineage of evil to all of humankind that followed them. Because God's salvation providence is equivalent to his providence of restoration, it has been necessary for Him to carry out the providence of restoration in such a way that a total break could be made from this lineage of evil.

This providence is the history of the chosen nation of Israel between the time of Abel and the birth of Jesus. Jesus was born as a result of a process involving the separation and struggle between good and evil for the purpose of restoring Adam's fall and subsequent descent into the position of false parent. Thus, Jesus came as the True Father, that is, the second original ancestor of a humanity of goodness. It was therefore necessary for Jesus to restore a woman who would stand in the position of Eve in relation to him, become husband and wife with this woman, have children by her, and go on to establish himself in a position of having dominion over all of creation. This was the purpose of Jesus' coming as the Messiah.

Jesus came as the Messiah for the purpose of restoring God's three great blessings, by which he created Adam and Eve, and then told them to be fruitful, to multiply and to have dominion over all of creation. The chosen people of Israel, however, denied the one who had come as their Father, and said he was not the Messiah. Finally, in their failure to believe, they had him executed on a cross. What an incredible act of infidelity! What an incredibly great sin!

Jesus, who died on the cross, gave a promise for a second advent. He also said that when he returned, he would come as the bridegroom, and that all people of the world should prepare for his coming by adorning themselves as brides. In the Book of Revelation, Chapter 19, we see the Second Advent of Jesus recorded as involving his coming to earth and performing a marriage supper of the Lamb. This passage about the marriage supper refers to the restoration of the positions of the true husband and wife, and of the true parents, for the purpose of forming a family, such as what Adam and Eve would have formed in the Garden of Eden, had they not committed the fall.

How are we to remedy the society we live in, where all manner of sexual crimes, immorality and moral corruption run rampant and threaten to destroy our families? If we are unable to resolve this problem of the corruption of sexual mores, human society is certain to bring upon itself the same destruction that came to Sodom and Gomorrah. The fire of this judgment has already begun. The fearful disease of AIDS is heaven's chastisement for the sexual corruption of our society, and a warning of what will come if we do not correct this.

Jesus said he would return when this world of evil reached its last days. The Jesus who returns will come as the True Father of all humanity, and show us the path of the true child, the path of the true husband and wife, and the path of the true parents that must be taken by all men and women of this world. Only in this way will we find a fundamental solution to the problem of moral decay. This is the truly good news that will save mankind from this world of evil. It is the mission of the Messiah, the Savior, to teach the way for humanity to make a total break from the tangled history of evil that came about when the path of true parents, true husband and wife, and true children, was lost.

Today, I declare to all heaven and earth that my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, is the one who has devoted his entire life to pioneering the way of the Messiah, and of the True Parents. Despite ruthless persecution and torment from the evil world, he was worked to pioneer the future of humanity. He has done this by letting the world know about God's purpose of creation and by establishing the truth concerning the original sin committed by the original human ancestors.

All the world's major religions teach that their original founders will someday return to this world. According to the Unification Principle, which are the teachings of my husband, the return of these figures, that is, Buddha, True Man, Confucius, and the Second Advent of theology of Jesus, will be fulfilled through the return of one Messiah, one True Parent, for all of humanity. All religions are to be brought into a union, and unified through this person. Despite what some Christians believe, this Messiah, or True Parent, will not be the same Jesus who died two thousand years ago, returning on a cloud in the sky. Instead, a new person, who has inherited Jesus' mission, is to be born on this earth. The country in which this person is born in the Republic of Korea. The Messiah, the True Parent of all mankind, is a Korean, whose principal language is Korean.

When is this Messiah to come? According to the Unification Principle, the Last Days are the time in which this sinful world is brought to a conclusion, and the Messiah is to come during the time of the Last Days. The Last Days refer to an approximate eighty-year period between World War I and the conclusion of the twentieth century. This corresponds to the transition period in world history, in which the True Parent of mankind is to be born in the Republic of Korea, and carry out his program for building a world of freedom and peace to take the place of today's world, filled with evil and war.

For this reason, this is a period of great confusion, in which individuals, families, tribes, nations, states, and the world will be divided against each other in a conflict of good and evil. During this period, humankind has already experienced two world wars. Following World War II, there was the perpetual conflict and struggle between the democratic and communist worlds. Also during this period, Korea experienced forty years of Japanese colonial rule, that ended in liberation in 1945, followed by the tragedy of the Korean War. Today, Korea remains as the only country still divided by the struggle between communism and democracy.

The northern and southern halves of the Korean Peninsula today represent the fruits of the seeds of good and evil, separated from each other, and sown in the forms of Cain and Abel, following the fall of the original human ancestors. That is, the communism of North Korea is the fruit of all Cain-type philosophies and systems throughout history. North Korea has established itself as an atheistic communist state that denies religious value systems. It is a microcosm of the communist world. On the other hand, South Korea is the fruit of all Abel-type philosophies and systems throughout history. It is the country where religion thrives most in the world, and it stands in a position to represent the free world. Thus, the Korean Peninsula is a microcosm of the world separated between good and evil, with South Korea on the side of good, and North Korea on the side of evil set against each other in one final battle.

Thus, the unification of the Korean peninsula is the key to world peace and unification. Korean unification is not merely a political event or task. Korean unification holds providential and historical significance as an important step toward accomplishing God's final goal to bring about an ideal world. It is a three-dimensional task, involving the numerous spirit men who have passed through this physical world. For this reason, the unification of the Republic of Korea is not a matter to be solved only by politicians. My husband, Rev. Moon, understands the will of heaven surrounding the Korean peninsula. During early December last year, he visited North Korea for seven days, met the North Korean ruler, President Kim Il Sung, and communicated to President Kim heaven's command to him, related to the issue of Korean unification.

He said to the North Koreans: "You cannot unify North and South Korea by means of juche thought. North and South Korea can be unified peacefully only through Unification Thought, or Godism and headwing philosophy, expounded by Rev. Moon. When they tried to claim that the South first invaded the North in the Korean War, he refuted them flatly, saying it was the North that started the war, with its southward invasion.

I have accompanied my husband to many countries around the world, and met numerous world leaders. In order to make our trip to North Korea, however, we needed to make a truly courageous resolve, and a serious determination. Jacob, in biblical times, endured through great tribulation. He used his wisdom and determination to soften the heart of his older brother Esau, and finally succeeded in reconciling with him. It was in a similar way to Jacob, that my husband and I finally succeeded in sitting down to discussions with Kim Il Sung. No longer is Korean unification something that is to be left to politicians. God is now directly involved in this matter. Even now, my husband, Rev. Moon, is working day and night to mobilize his global network for the task of accomplishing Korean unification according to the will of God, and building an ideal world of peace, free from immorality and moral decadence.

The content of my speech today is not something that is believed, only by the small number of Unification Church members who follow my husband and myself. Social, religious and political leaders of more than one hundred and sixty countries around the world, as well as large numbers of young people all over the world, are working in accordance with these teachings, in order to build a new unified world, overflowing with freedom and peace. All around the world, the Republic of Korea is beginning to be revered as the country where the True Parents of humankind have come. A rapidly increasing number of people from around the world are coming to Korea, to learn its language and culture.

Our Women's Federation for World Peace is a global organization. On April 10, in the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, we held a rally with one hundred and fifty thousand Korean women and representatives from sixty countries around the world. The focus of that rally was our fundamental solution to the threats to our families, stemming from the decline in moral standards, increasing drug abuse, and all forms of indecent sexual behavior in the world around us. We cannot afford to wait any longer before setting out to save human society from the fallen social customs, and sexual depravity by which men have oppressed women.

Our effort to learn the duties of true parents, true husbands and true wives, and true children, must finally culminate in the establishment of a Families' Federation for World Peace, so that immorality and moral decadence will be expunged from all corners of the earth. We must work quickly to separate ourselves from the lineage of evil that has caused pain and suffering to humankind ever since the time of the Garden of Eden. Only then can we prepare ourselves fro the new world.

Until now, there was no way to defeat the immorality and moral degradation that has been destroying humanity. Now, however, a new hope, a new expression of truth, capable of bringing a total and complete solution to this problem, has arisen in the land of Korea. This new expression of truth pronounced by the True Parents, will accomplish the unification of Korea. It will then go on to become the guiding beacon for all humanity in the building of world peace. Let us all learn about this message of hope, so that we may join together in bringing an end to the sinful world that has brought us so much suffering since the beginning of history, and become the courageous women who will build the unified world, overflowing with freedom, peace and happiness.

Let us go the way of a true mother. Let us go the way of a true wife. Let us go the way of a true daughter.

The Central Role of Women in the Ideal World

My fellow co-workers and women members! I am very happy and honored to stand before you as President of the Women's Federation for World Peace today Let me express my deep appreciation to all of you members and supporters who prepared this rally today. Today, l would like to speak to you on the subject of "The Central Role of Women in the Ideal World."

If someone asked you whether our world today is good or evil, what would you answer? Without a doubt, you would answer that it is evil. But it is not just the world of this age that is evil; we cannot help but say that all the ages of the past and all the nations and the world were evil. Therefore, our world has been one in which sin continues to grow more than good deeds, war more than peace, immorality more than righteousness, hatred more than love, and division and discord more than unification and harmony.

No one wants this kind of evil world. Therefore, we cannot help but investigate how we can establish an ideal world of true love overflowing with peace, freedom and happiness and clear up this world of evil. What all individuals and leaders of the family, tribe, race, nation and world desire as well must be the establishment of a world overflowing with freedom and happiness. Since the beginning of human history, for thousands of years, humanity has been struggling toward this kind of ideal and dream, but we have not yet established the ideal world we desire.

Today, I would like to reveal to you the fundamental cause of these problems. In addition, I intend to present the solution which will make it possible to realize the ideal world which people have desired so much. This is not content that comes from human speculation or wisdom. As you already know, my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, has devoted his entire life to solving these problems. During the time I have lived supporting my husband, I have been moved and inspired beyond words by his teachings and by his life of love for God and humanity.

Be Fruitful, Multiply and Fill the Earth

If a wife, as she lives supporting her husband, gains deep insights into the truth and is continuously moved and inspired by his life and character, this is an occurrence that should be revealed to the world. Why? Because the fundamental reason for this world becoming an evil world where sexual license, criminal activity, conflicts and corruption are rampant is the breakdown and disharmony in the basic relationship between husband, wife and children.

At present, over five billion people are living on the earth, but if we look at it in another way, only two people are living here. We could say that a man and a woman, a husband and a wife, only two people, are living here. Countless numbers of people are living together and there are all kinds of relationships and problems, but at the core of all of those problems are the problems and relationships between two people, a man and a woman. When we look at things in this light, it becomes important for us to investigate the way of heaven that man and woman were to go when God created the first ancestors.

In Genesis it is recorded that after God had created the heavens and the earth, He created the ancestors of humankind: a man, Adam, and a woman, Eve. At the same time that He gave them the three great blessings, He gave them a portion of responsibility The three great blessings were: "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing..." But to the man and woman He also gave the responsibility: "... but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat...."

This teaches us the purpose for which God created the universe and humanity, and also shows us the basis for life. The blessing to be fruitful means that all people born on the earth must grow to be people of perfected character. The second blessing of life, to multiply, means that, as a man and a woman with a perfected character, they must establish the bond of husband and wife, give birth to children, and raise them. God's purpose of creation is, as a husband and wife fulfill their duty as father and mother leading a family, they should construct a far more comfortable, prosperous world and establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

This purpose of creation was to be realized if the first ancestors had obeyed God's commandment, "...but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat...." But before the first ancestors, Adam and Eve, were perfect, while they were still immature, they did not keep God's commandment; because of Satan, they fell, and all humanity became the recipients of an evil blood lineage.

Due to the Immoral Fall of the Original Human Ancestors, Humankind Has Lost the Purpose of Creation

Ladies! What is the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that God told the original ancestors, Adam and Eve, not to eat? It is not the real fruit of a tree. It is a way of expressing the husband and wife love relationship that the first ancestors were to have in the future. Due to the temptation of a third being, while still in an imperfect state, the first man and woman entered into an immoral sexual relationship. Actually, in the Garden of Eden, the third party besides Adam and Eve was the archangel. In the Bible it is revealed that Lucifer was the archangel who tempted Eve and committed an immoral sexual sin. This was the fall of man, the original sin which planted the root of sin in the world.

Man committed the sexual sin before his Father God, the Lord and Master of heaven and earth, and the first ancestors had children out of this immoral love; the world of evil was realized. In other words, they married centered on Satan, and by planting false love, false life and a false lineage they became ancestors of evil.

As human society expanded from the individual, family, tribe, race and nation to the world level, due to this immoral relationship between man and woman, the root of the evil blood lineage was established everywhere, at all times, and this world became hell on earth: it became a false world filled with sin, war and fear. The fallen ancestors, Adam and Eve, should have established the position of True Parents as the eternal good ancestors of humanity, but they fell and became false parents, leaving a blood lineage of evil.

This is the first cause of all the tragedy and misery of humankind. What could be more tragic or cause greater indignation than becoming the descendants of false parents and all humankind losing their True Parents? And how great must be the suffering and sorrow of God, the Father of humanity, whose purpose of creation, to establish the true ancestors of humankind and to multiply people of goodness, was stolen by the blood lineage of sin through the immoral fall of the first human ancestors.

Just as the cause of a disease must be discovered and treated in order to save a person suffering from it, in order to liberate human society from the suffering of such sin and misery, the fundamental cause of this sin and misery must be revealed and corrected. The fundamental cause is the fall of the human ancestors, the original sin. Accordingly, unless the cause of the disease called original sin is eliminated, we cannot pull up the root of misery and sin from the world. No matter how many great men, heroes, scholars, politicians or philosophers appear and try to straighten out the world through the reform of the laws and systems or through the education of moral principles, unless the original sin and the content of the fall is clarified, it will be impossible. All remedies will prove useless. That is because the original root of sin and misery is still alive, and it will continue to sprout buds.

The Role of Religion: The Salvation of Humankind from Evil

Religion teaches the fact that man fell, it reveals the contents of the fall, and directly and indirectly shows God's providence through which He seeks to save man completely from sin. Therefore, all religions are the most active prescriptions for saving the sinful world. Religion is the fount of all education or teachings. The teachings of the four great saints, Confucius, Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed, and the teachings of the founders of other religions transcended their ages and locations and have preserved the conscience and morals of humanity, and have been the generative powers of cultural development. Accordingly, all religions seeking to liquidate the world of evil and to establish the ideal world which God and people desire are co-workers and collaborators.

Among them, the scriptures through which God most directly revealed His providence of salvation is the Bible. Through the Bible we can know that the ancestors of humanity Adam and Eve, committed the original sin and became false parents, and that God's work in the providence of salvation is to restore the lost purpose of creation. The main point of the message of the Bible is that in order to give rebirth to all, the Messiah or the True Parents must come in place of Adam and Eve who became false parents. Adam should have become the true father, and Eve should have become the true mother; that was the purpose of the original creation. In order to restore the purpose of creation back to its original state, God cannot help but carry out the providence for the recreation of Adam.

That is the main point of the providence of preparing the chosen nation of Israel and having Jesus born there. From the time Adam and Eve fell and humanity multiplied with its blood lineage centered on Satan, God immediately began working to separate the blood lineages of goodness and evil. From Adam's family God separated the second son, Abel, who was in a position to relate to God, and the first son, Cain, who was in a position to relate to Satan. He sought to restore the order of the creation to its original state by having Cain yield to Abel of his own accord. Through Cain's murder of Abel, the history of struggle to separate good and evil was extended for a long time.

The Mission of Jesus who Came as the True Father

After Noah, Abraham and Isaac, Jacob through the help of his mother, was able to make his elder twin, Esau, yield of his own accord. Jacob took a decisive role in the establishment of the chosen people of Israel. Jacob's son, Judah, had twins Perez and Zerah through his daughter-in-law, Tamar. Perez struggled with Zerah inside Tamar's womb and pushed Zerah aside, who was supposed to be born first. Instead, Perez was born first as the elder brother. The battle of the first and second born is the battle of good and evil. Thus, when the younger brother won over the elder brother while still in the womb and was born as the first son, this achieved restoration within the womb.

Jesus Christ, who came as the Messiah forty generations later, was born from the lineage of Perez, because of this restoration within the womb. Conceiving and giving birth to Jesus was an act of extraordinary devotion and risk in which Jesus' mother, Mary, put her life on the line. Because God's providence of salvation is the providence of restoration, God had to carry out a providence to cut the blood lineage of sin. This sin has been transmitted from generation to generation because the ancestors, Adam and Eve, had an immoral sexual relationship due to the temptation of Lucifer, the archangel, who became Satan.

This course from Cain and Abel until Jesus was born is the history of the chosen nation of Israel. Due to the fall, Adam fell to the position of a false father. Accordingly, following the course of restoration of the struggle to separate good and evil, Jesus came as the true father of humanity, that is, as the good second ancestor of humankind. Because of that, Jesus had to restore as his complement a woman in the position of Eve, and they had to become a couple, have children and take dominion over creation. This was the purpose for which Jesus came as the Messiah.

Thus Jesus came as the Messiah to restore the three great blessings which God gave to Adam and Eve: be fruitful, multiply and have dominion over all the creation. However, Jesus, who came as their father and Messiah, was crucified by mankind. What an incredibly unfilial act! What a horrendous sin! Jesus who died on the cross promised that he would come again to the earth, that he would come as a bridegroom, and that all people on the earth should prepare themselves as brides and be ready. In Revelation chapter 19, it is recorded that Jesus returns to the earth and holds the Marriage of the Lamb. This refers to the restoration of the position of the true couple and the True Parents.

The Messiah Reveals the Path of the True Parents, the True Couple and the True Children

Members and women co-workers! How can we straighten out this society in which all kinds of sexual sin, immorality and corruption are destroying our families? It will bring a destruction like Sodom and Gomorrah's upon itself. The fire of judgment has already begun to fall. The frightening disease, AIDS, is a warning from heaven against the chaos of sexual immorality.

Jesus said he would come again in the Last Days of this evil world. The returning Jesus will come as True Father of humankind. He will show the way of the True Children, the True Couple, and the way of the True Parents which all men and women must go. Only in this way can the problem of sexual corruption, the original sin, be fundamentally solved. This will be the true gospel which will save humankind from the world of sin.

The mission of the Messiah, the Savior, is to teach the way to end the tangled history of sin created when humanity lost the way of the True Parents, the True Couple and the True Children.

Today, in this place, I proclaim to the whole world that my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, has devoted his entire life to pioneering this path of the Messiah, the True Parents. As you well know, my husband Reverend Moon has revealed the purpose of the creation of God, and through examining the original sin committed by the first ancestors he has pioneered the future of humanity despite the brutal opposition and persecution of this evil world.

According to the Divine Principle, the teaching of my husband, each major religion is awaiting the return of its founder in some form: the Maitreya, the True Man, the new Confucius and the return of Jesus will be fulfilled by the return of one Messiah, the return of the True Parent of humankind. All religions will be united into one. That Messiah, the True Parent who comes, will not be the same Jesus who died 2,000 years ago, as some Christians believe, nor will he come on the clouds in the air; rather, a new person who has inherited the mission of Jesus is to be born on the earth. The country in which that person is born is the nation of Korea; however surprising it may be, the fact is that the Messiah, who is the True Parent of humankind, comes as a Korean.

Unification Is the Key to World Peace

When will the Messiah who is coming in this way appear? According to the Divine Principle, the Last Days are the time when this evil world comes to an end, and the Messiah is to return. Briefly, the Last Days are from the end of the First World War to the year 2000, a period of about eighty years. During this period the Lord of the Second Advent, who is the True Parent of humankind, is to be born in our land of Korea. This is the worldwide historical age of transition when the Lord of the Second Advent is building the ideal out of the world filled with sin, war and struggle.

Therefore, this era is an age of great chaos with the confrontation and struggle between goodness and evil occurring in the mutual relationships of all parts of the world: the individual, family, tribe, race, nation and the world.

The Realization of World Peace Through the Power of Women

Women leaders! What I am telling you today is not only for the Unification Church members who are following my husband. Now leaders from every level of society, in more than 160 nations and many thousands of young people, are following this teaching and shedding sweat to build a new unified world overflowing with freedom and peace. Already Korea is being looked to by many people from all over the world as the country to which the True Parents of humankind have come, and the number of foreigners who are visiting Korea to learn the Korean language, culture and customs is rapidly increasing.

Our Women's Federation for World Peace has the fundamental remedy to save our families which are threatened by the present-day reality of the degeneration of sexual morality, the proliferation of drugs and all sorts of wantonness and sexual corruption. This is a worldwide women's organization which was founded last April 10, in Seoul Olympic Stadium with 150,000 Korean women, including representatives from 72 countries. We cannot wait any longer to save the society of tomorrow, which is rotting with all kinds of immorality and corruption, and the fallen social climate where men have oppressed women.

Finally, we must endeavor to learn and practice the duty of the True Parents, the true spouse and the true child. Through the organization of the Family Federation for World Peace, we must make sure that immorality and corruption will not be able to set foot anywhere in this world. In this way, humankind must cleanse the evil blood lineage and suffering which was caused by the original sin of fornication committed in the Garden of Eden, which has lasted until today, and quickly prepare to meet the new world.

Until now everyone has been helpless to stop the wantonness and immorality which has been destroying humankind. But now a new truth which can completely solve these problems has appeared in Korea in the very age in which we are living. This truth which was revealed by the True Parents will be the light that will bring about the unification of North and South Korea and build a world of peace and happiness. Let us learn this new truth and rise up and become women soldiers who will end this world of sin, which has caused us to suffer since the beginning of history. Let us build a unified world overflowing with freedom, peace and happiness.

Let us go the way of the True Mother. Let us go the way of the true wife. Let us go the way of the true daughter.

Women Who Will Take the Leading Role in the Ideal World

Distinguished guests and members of the Women's Federation for World Peace:

I am very honored that I can share my beliefs about world peace with such a tremendous gathering of women leaders from every level of society. The title of my address today is "Women Who Will Take the Leading Role in the Ideal World."

We are now entering the pivotal age for the creation of one world. The time in which we are living is the age where humanity has started to go beyond the barriers of ideology and language, the differences between cultures and the conflicts between races.

It is the cherished desire of humankind for all war, oppression and exploitation to be banished forever from this world leaving only the promised future of true freedom, peace and prosperity.

All the while, my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, has advocated the ideology of Godism and has overcome strong opposition and persecution from those individuals who have relied on strength alone. In the past he played the deciding role in opening the door to leave behind the age of the Cold War. Today in this historical age of transition where conciliation and cooperation are sought, I am presenting Godism to be the great principle and basis upon which we can build the eternal world of peace. I would like to stress again that the Headwing ideology and Godism proclaimed by Reverend Moon must be the principles followed by all women who will pioneer the future world.

To Possess God's Love

Originally God created an object of love in order to feel joy. Where does the heart of a sculptor, who is willing to invest his youth and work unceasingly day and night in order to create one masterpiece, come from? Doesn't it resemble the heart of God. Who created an object of love in order to feel joy?

If we look at the world, we can see that everything has an inherent duality. Minerals, plants, animals and people all exist in pairs. Do you know why everything exists in pairs? It is to be able to interact with each other. In the world of minerals, there is the action between the positive ions and the negative ions. If there is no common point between atoms, they will not join together. God also is unable to hand down His system if the reciprocal elements are not right. However, on the opposite side, if the reciprocal elements are right, then even God cannot prevent them from becoming one. Even though it is on a low level, the action in the world of minerals can become the ideal model of the love of creation.

So it is inevitable that centered on true love, God's heart and an individual's heart, the whole of creation and even animals will be able to communicate together. The problem is that you have not had such a relationship. If you go into the land of ideals, then the whole of creation is harmonious. In the land full of love and joy, if I laugh then the whole of creation, including God, laughs in harmony.

Ladies and gentlemen! All of you have loving husbands and loving wives, don't you? How much do you love your spouse? If somebody offered you a billion won or ten billion won for your wife, would you sell her? Is there a wife who would exchange a truly loving husband, if she were offered heaven and earth? What it all comes down to is that man was born for woman, and woman was born for man. It is all because of true love, which always exists for others. God created woman and man as the harmonious yin yang, so that they could realize the ideal of love. We can only find the unified true love through true man and woman. God and an individual as well, become one through true love.

Marriage is such that, after a man and a woman join together horizontally through absolute true love, they try to possess God's vertical, absolute true love. The absolute God set up true love in the highest position as the center of absolute true value. When a true man, a true woman, and God become completely united, centered on true love, then they will find the solution to all problems concerning our view of the universe, our view of life and our view of God.

The Path of Sacrifice

God's true love is such that, though He loves and loves again or gives and gives again, He forgets what He has done. If some kind of memory about what you have given remains, then love cannot be eternal. Because love is an eternal action, you should not remember what you have given. Love continues to flow because you give and give and forget what you have been given.

So the path of true love is not to receive something, it is the path of sacrificing and living for others. That is why when God Himself created an object of true love, God stood in the position of living for others. He wanted to invest and invest again, one hundred percent of everything He had. The reason why God wanted to invest Himself completely is that He wanted His object of love to be better than Himself. The creator of the heavens and the earth, our heavenly Father God, the original central existence, has this kind of heart. So the act of living for others, which is contained within true love, means that you give one hundred percent or even one thousand percent until there is a vacuum. In the earth's atmosphere, when a low pressure system forms, then a high pressure system starts circulating automatically. It is the same with love. When you create an absolute low pressure or vacuum of love, then God's love starts circulating. So living absolutely for others is like creating a typhoon which unleashes tremendous power.

My dear members of the Women's Federation for World Peace! There is an old saying that, "Women are weak, but mothers are strong." A woman by herself may be weak, but if a woman as a mother assumes the position of being the subject of love, or as a wife or a daughter, if she performs the role of being the center of love, then she will be the strongest of all. The reason for this is that if a woman as a mother, wife or daughter assumes the position of being the subject of love and if she gives one hundred percent to her object, then God's love will come to fill up the vacuum that is left after she has given everything. That is when the power of God's love starts working. So even though she is a woman, if she resembles God and assumes the position of being the subject of love, then a tremendous force will be let loose and the power of that love will give life to the family, it will give life to the nation and it will give life to the world.

Centered on True Love

The fact that Yu Kwan Sun, a young girl of sixteen, caused such a great surge in the Korean Independence Movement, was a miracle which occurred out of her burning, sacrificial patriotic heart to save the nation.

God stands in the position of being the subject of love living completely for His children humanity. Through continuing the action of His original nature, which is to give and give again, He can exist for eternity. In this way, the way of true love, the logic of eternal life, is established.

If God's companion of true love, humanity, had matured according to God's will and inherited God's absolute unchanging love, then the world would have seen a history of absolute unity, and there would not have been a history of war, bloodshed and misery. If your mind and body become one centered on true love, then each of you will become God's companion of love and will come to be in the position of God's eternal object. Not only that you will come to inherit the eternal love of God.

Contained within the inheritance of love is the right to inherit, the right to live together with God and the right to participate in what God does. Even though a woman may have been born to a lowly family and did not graduate from elementary school, if she becomes the wife of the president and they become a loving couple, then what belongs to the husband belongs to the wife. She can be together with her husband day or night; she also has the right to participate in what her husband does.

Because true love contains the three great attributes of "inheritance," "living together," and "participation," if you stand in the position of being one with God's absolute, unchanging true love, then you can go to where God is and you have the right to be together with Him and participate in anything and everything He does. Because humankind fell, God's heart came to be full of grief. There are those who have experienced God's sorrowful heart. Such people, as they walk along, will stop and burst into tears because they feel God's grief so deeply.

Even in the fallen world today, there are many cases of a mother feeling intuitively that something has happened to her child and sometimes, even while she is sleeping, she wakes up calling her child's name. A mother's love is like this.

If we can come to absorb, in our mind and body one hundred percent of God's love, which wants to live for others for eternity, then the root of God's true love will form in our hearts and we will be able to communicate with God freely and feel everything He does; then our body will automatically act in unison with our mind. Centering on true love in the world of the mind, the body was created to be the body of unison. So you must know today that we have to recover God's true original love in order to bring back the unified world of our mind and body.

According to the principle of "unison" which arises from true love, when a person becomes one centered on true love, and enters the realm of communal oneness, then we can say that God's love is my love, God's life is my life, God's blood is my blood and God's creation is my creation. Accordingly, the mother and father who embrace the universe in their hearts, will have their names entered in the family register of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Is love first or is life first? Love is first. A person has life because of love, and conception takes place centered on the ideal of love. So the essence of a person's life is love. Therefore, it is a heavenly law that life, which has its essence in love, must be "a life for others." So we can say that from the moment a person is born, he was born for his mate.

If we say that I was born only for myself, or that everyone else was born for me, then the concept of love cannot be established. The starting point of love is when you sacrifice yourself and live for another person. The person who lives for his family can initiate family love, and a person who sacrifices himself for his friend can initiate friend's love.

If you sacrifice for others, it may seem as though you will lose everything, but actually the opposite is true. Not only do you become the subject of love and master of everything, you go to a higher level.

It is a principle that love is such that, the more it sacrifices for others, the higher the level of that love becomes. If you sacrifice for some bigger purpose, you will not be absorbed by it, rather you will stand in the central position of it, and a new and higher level will be realized. Christianity has become a religion of resurrection because it teaches people to sacrifice themselves for others. The sinless Jesus went to meet his death on the cross, praying, "Not as I will, but as You will," fervently asking God to forgive the ignorance and sin of the Roman soldiers who were piercing him with spears.

Jesus' life was a model life showing how to sacrifice and live for others. It should have become the base and central ideology of Christianity in making the new history of resurrection. If you sacrifice your life for others, then you will come to have a higher level of life.

God Always Protects

It is precisely through true love that the base to occupy hell is formed. If you come to possess true love, then all pain and suffering will resurrect in that true love and become joy. In other words, true love, which is part of the original nature of a person, transcends any individual desire for power, knowledge or wealth.

Seen in this light, God's strategy to save humankind throughout human his. tory, and the strategy of Satan, who has tried to prevent God, has been completely opposite. It has been God's strategy to be hit and then take, while Satan always strikes first to take, but loses.

Look at the First, Second and Third (war of ideology) World Wars. The side which struck first perished. God does not recover what has been stolen from Him by killing the people on Satan's side and taking back what is His. God, as the master of the universe, has the power to strike and take back what is His at will; however, He does not do this. Rather He lets His side be struck first.

Parents cause their unfilial child to repent by continuing to sacrifice for him or her. In order for God to set up the great highway of heavenly law, He went to Satan and taught him that when the master comes, he should do this or do that. But history shows us that the master who went to teach was beaten. But what happened after he was beaten? He could receive everything with compensation added. Confucius, also, received a lot of persecution and Jesus died being accused of rebellion against the Roman Empire. But as history passes, the names of the saints remain. Who became a saint in their own lifetime? Even though they died wretched deaths in their own lifetimes, as the different ages of history pass they gradually go up to a higher level.

God does not ask compensation to be paid for only ten or twenty years. The longer the time that passes, the more God recovers until finally the whole world is completely recovered. Patiently waiting for thousands of years, God has calculated the compensation to be received. It is like putting money in the bank: over the years the interest keeps accumulating until one day you have more than enough money to buy the bank. God is a being who bides His time and uses the strategy of being hit first and taking back later.

If you are persecuted by the evil world, then heaven will help you and let you jump over all these hardships. God has let my husband and experience this kind of thing many times. Being persecuted is another way to inherit the possessions of the enemy. God always protects those He loves in such a way. The reason why God cannot kill a person He wants to punish is because He knows that the individual has parents, a wife or children who still love him. Because God also has gone through the valley of tears, when He feels the heart of the person's parents, wife or children, He cannot strike that person.

Meet God and Self

If you truly come to feel God's heart, how can you settle accounts with your enemy? On the contrary, what you should do is mobilize people to help your enemy. Wanting to embrace your enemy and to become one centered on love means that you will come to stand in front of the gates of the Kingdom of Heaven. There, the heavens and the earth will be moved and God, also, will start to cry. God will say, "You resemble me!" and He will be so joyful. Because God is like this, we can come to understand the words "Love your enemy." That kind of power is not caused by knowledge, money or authority. It is caused only by true love.

Therefore, just as you live for your lovely children and parents, you have to go beyond the feeling that North Korea is your enemy and you have to desire unification with sacrificial true love in your hearts.

The unification of North and South Korea, which we desire so much, is only possible with the spirit of sacrificial true love, through which we can love even our enemies. Just as parents take care of their children, or just as brothers and sisters love each other, we should treat the pain of our brothers and sisters in North Korea as "my" pain, and we should meet together and work so that we can be unified again under the unchangeable true love of God.

The point of intersection, where, centering on true love, Adam and Eve can meet God and settle, can only be at the angle of ninety degrees, where vertical and horizontal meet. This is the official point which causes true love to settle.

God is the parent of vertical true love; Adam and Eve should have been the parents of horizontal true love. We should have been born inheriting the love, the life and the blood lineage of these two types of parental love; then my mind becomes the vertical "me" and my body becomes the horizontal "me." When my vertical "me" and my horizontal "me" become unified at the point of ninety degrees, then a person can become the companion of true love of the eternal God.

God has true love, true life and true blood lineage. Because we originated from God, we also should have true love, true life and true blood lineage. Centering on the true love of God, an individual was born to be one body with God. Just as God's mind and body, centering on true love, are naturally united, the mind and body of all humankind also should have been naturally united through true love.

However, fallen humankind inherited Satan's love, life and blood lineage. The body is the front line for Satan and the mind is the front line for God; both continually struggle against each other. The love which an individual has today does not center on an individual's mind, but on his body. Our bodies became Satan's dance hall. Our body is the past to which Satan's anchor is attached. The mind is in the position of being a plus representing heaven, but the body has become another plus and is toying with the mind. It is our duty to rectify this situation within our own lifetime. God knows this and so He made religion as the repair shop. This is why religion teaches us to deny the body through fasting, sacrifice and service. Religion teaches the mind to overcome the body. In order for the desires of the body to be weakened so that the body follows the mind, we need to live a life of faith through which the mind conveys good habits to the body for at least three to five years. Religion tells us: do not rest, pray constantly.

God stands only in the vertical position, so He can only be active through the mind. Satan is active in all directions. He can be active in each one of the 360 degrees and so fallen humankind is bound to fall prey to Satan's activity.

Because the mind is in the vertical position, it is one. Because the vertical base is not the horizontal base, the mind cannot enter the horizontal base. Because it is easy for the mind to be dragged along by the body, the mind in the vertical position has to lead a life of devotion and prayer, through which it can receive three or four times more strength. Then it can dominate the body freely and lead the body along the right way for three to five years, creating good habits. There is no method to repair the body other than the union of the vertical and horizontal. Unless humankind goes through the door of a religion that teaches people to lead such a life, humanity cannot go back to its original position. The road of philosophy, knowledge or conscience alone is not enough. The vertical mind and the horizontal body have to become one.

What is the cause of the fall of man, which led to an individual's mind and body not becoming one with God's ideal? The Bible tells us that it is because man ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. However, what part of the body did Adam and Eve cover after they had eaten of the fruit? They should have covered their mouths and hands, but they covered their lower parts; after that, they married, centering on Satan. This is the origin of how Satan's evil blood lineage multiplied.

However, the origin of true love, true life and the true blood lineage for a person are the sexual organs of love. Because of the fall, the organs of love, which should have been the most holy place, became the most abominable place, destroying the way of heaven. The organs of love became the headquarters of evil. And from here they sowed the seeds of false love, false life and the false blood lineage.

The ancestors of man, Adam and Eve, fell when they were teenagers and still not mature. Historically, the evil blood lineage of humankind started because Adam and Eve had sown the seeds of evil. So when the time of the Last Days comes, the youth all over the world will destroy the ethics of love as Adam and Eve did, and the tide of corruption will flow throughout the world.

When we see these phenomena, we must know that the age of Satan's dominion has arrived. It is at this very time that the day of judgment, when God rules with His rod of iron, has arrived.

History teaches us that any city or country which ignored God and engaged in wantonness was destroyed. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire and brimstone; Rome was destroyed because the people became morally decadent and did not keep their chastity.

Look at America, Europe and Japan, the advanced nations of the world. Who is able to stop free sex, which is rampant everywhere? This world is becoming cosmopolitan and is full of corrupt love and drug abuse. This is the method by which the body is being dragged to its death. It is not the path our mind wants; it is crying out in despair.

All the people who were called to lead humanity back to the embrace of God failed. Somebody must appear who can lead the people of the world out of the fallen environment to the road of truth.

We can compare fallen man who came to stand on Satan's side to a wild olive shoot. From among fallen men, God has separated the wild olive shoots. Those wild olive shoots which are in the sphere of religion belong to God. God can dominate these wild olive shoots freely. He has prepared everything so that when the Lord returns, he will be able to cut down the trees in one stroke and graft them onto him. In this way the wild olive shoots become the true olive, returning back to their original state. That is why the people who already believe in a religion must find the original true father. This is because they were not born with the original seed of life from the true father. They were unable to fulfill God's ideal and connect with God's blood lineage centering on the original true love; therefore, the Messiah has to come.

Do You Know Who the Messiah Is?

The Messiah is the person who has come with the tremendous responsibility of coming as the True Parent, pulling out and throwing away the roots of all those born from the false parents and restoring them to their original state. He has the responsibility to banish Satan, liberate humanity and build the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and thus be welcomed by all.

If you become sons and daughters who can inherit God's love, God's life and God's blood lineage and also inherit True Parents' love, True Parents' life and True Parents' blood lineage, then like God, your mind and body will not fight, and you will become the true unified origin of world peace. The point where the mind and body become unified will be the starting point for the eternal world of peace.

My dear members of the Women's Federation for World Peace! Let us all fulfill our duty as servants with the heart of parents. Let us shed our sweat for the earth, our tears for humankind and our blood for heaven. And let us liberate our Parent, the Lord and Creator of the universe, from His grief -- and in order to build one world of peace, let us march forward along the road of salvation bearing the cross.

Please do not forget that, even though our destination may be in the world, our starting point must begin when our mind and body become one, centering on true love. Each of us must remember that not until my family becomes the place of eternal happiness and true love will our hope for the ideal country, the ideal world and the ideal Kingdom of Heaven on earth bear fruit.

In the not too distant future, our Women's Federation for World Peace will be joined by all people in the world and will become a Family Federation for World Peace; then we will build a world of true love in which all races will live for each other for eternity.

Let us determine to rise up and take the lead to complete this historical mission. I pray that God's blessing may be upon you and your families.

Unification of the World and the Responsibility of Humankind

Representatives of the Women's Federation for World Peace from seventy countries,

Women leaders and members of the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia.

First, let me express my deep gratitude that such a tremendous crowd has gathered today for this grand occasion to establish the Women's Federation for World Peace and to hold the Seoul rally of the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia. By your presence, you bring blessing to our federation's future, and inspire us to redouble our determination to achieve world peace.

This may be the first time that women have taken the initiative in gathering so many women in one place. I am certain that from this day forward, women around the world will come to understand their noble role ordained by God and that a road will be opened for us to build an ideal world filled with peace, happiness and freedom. To mark this occasion, I would like to speak to you on the topic of "Unification of the world and the Responsibility of Humankind."

On November 30 last year, I accompanied my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, on a visit to North Korea. During our one-week stay, we met President Kim Il-sung and other leaders and toured a number of sites. During the years I have been by my husband's side, I have been a witness to the countless sleepless nights he has spent praying for the unification of our homeland and to the great sacrifices he has made to bring the reality of today's world in line with the direction of God's Providence.

His recent trip to North Korea was another illustration of his willingness to place his life at risk whenever necessary. Rev. Moon is a well-known religious leader, and this fact alone makes him a person despised by communists.

He is also the world's greatest anticommunist leader working for victory over communism. North Korea is well known for its rigid ideological regime. The leaders of that society long ago identified Rev. Moon as their greatest enemy and launched thousands of malicious attacks against him around the world. Yet, Rev. Moon visited that country with only the spirit of God to protect him, and preached the commandments of Heaven to its highest leaders, saying: "Unification cannot be brought about through your Juche ideology. We must united through Godism." The purpose of our North Korean visit was not to establish joint ventures or to seek ways to make money. Neither did we go there hoping to visit our hometowns or to meet our relatives.

We went in accordance with the Will of God, carrying with us God's heart of True Love which seeks always to give unconditionally. Our purpose was to testify to the commandments of Heaven so that the leaders of that society could realize what they must do in order to open the floodgates for true unification. Rev. Moon was received in North Korea as a state guest of the highest order, but he did not rest comfortably for even one night. Every night during our stay, he spent his time in fervent prayer so as to bring convergence with Heavenly fortune and to establish before God the conditions for unification.

Unification of the Korean peninsula will not be brought about solely through political negotiations or commercial trade. Unification is only possible by means of the fortune of Heaven together with God's True Love.

This is because unification is connected directly to the Providence of God as a necessary step toward world unification.

Today is an historic occasion in which women leaders have gathered from around the world. I would not want to detract from this occasion by merely giving a few words of ceremonial greeting. Instead, I want to deliver a declaration centered on the teachings of Rev. Moon, which are based on the heart of God that transcends past, present and future. My words today are a declaration before Heaven and earth, with history as my witness. The words I am about to speak may seem unfamiliar to some of you, but they deal with the secrets of Heaven that all women today need to understand.

We live in a diseased world whose destruction is inevitable. Every day we hear the ugly sounds of its final death-rattle.

We can trace the origin of this disease to the original human ancestors, who lost their position in Paradise. Our original ancestors contracted a serious disease. In religious terms, this event is referred to as the Human Fall. History began in a diseased state. This disease and Satan have been the central focus of human history.

The tragedy of human history was that it originated with Satan, the lord of evil who stood in contraposition to God's ideal of creation, and the marriage of Adam and Eve as the children of evil. Inevitably, humankind inherited Satan's love, Satan's life and Satan's lineage. The human reproductive organs, by which husband and wife are intended to join together in virtue, were originally intended to be temples of true love, true life and the true lineage. Love should be an experience in which a husband and wife join in a virtuous union to procreate children who will carry on the lineage. The center of life is love, and the human lineage is transmitted by means of the love and life of a husband and wife. The linkage of love, life and lineage is what gives history its continuity.

After the Fall, the human race has been held captive by satanic love, satanic life and a satanic lineage. Adam and Even were in their youth when they sowed the seeds of false love, false life and the false lineage. Thus, when the Last Days come, we can expect the increase of moral decadence among young people to arise as a global phenomenon. In fact, we live in just such a time now.

Satan used fallen love as a condition to create a lair of sin in which an eternal blow could be struck against God's ideal of true love. With the relaxation of standards concerning sexual behavior, the increasing moral decadence of young people and the plague of drug addiction in our societies, Satan has been able to work for the destruction of the family structure and traditional values in order to turn this world into an earthly hell. Thus, it has become impossible to find anywhere a true man, true woman, true brothers and sisters, a true husband and wife or true parents. Until now, there could be no hope of creating a true society, true nation or true world.

The world must understand that Satan exists and that he has brought about this reality we face today. With this knowledge, we can find the cause of the disease and uncover the origin of the Human Fall. We must reveal to the world that Satan, Adam and Eve formed a trinity of evil, and that it is up to us to restore the trinity of God, Adam and eve that is in accordance with the ideal of creation.

For this issue to be resolved, someone must testify to the fact that Satan committed sin, and clearly explain the fundamental truths concerning the sin committed by the original human ancestors. God and Satan have always known all the details about the Fall. There were many things that Adam did not understand, however, because he was still young at the time. In the Last Days, the restored and completed Adam will come and make all this information known. He will reveal the sins committed by Satan through the course of history. When he comes, it will be possible to expel Satan from this world. For the first time, humankind will be able to make a fundamental change in direction toward a world of hope, peace, happiness and freedom.

In order for humankind to make a total break from the false love, false life and false lineage that derive from Satan as their parent, it is necessary that we be grafted onto the true olive tree. That is, all people need to be grafted on to God and True Parents in order to recover true love, true life and the true lineage. This will make it possible for us to build Heaven on earth as well as in the spiritual world. This, in fact, is the final purpose of God's Providence of Salvation, Restoration and Re-creation.

Thus, the reappearance of the True Parents is an event of the greatest historic importance. The True Parents represent the conclusion and final fruit of human history.

The True Parents represent the completed form of human cultural history. They signify the victory of religion and philosophy within history. Prior to the emergence of True Parents, however, there must be a period of restoration through indemnity, that is, a period of re-creation. I would like to speak for a while about this historical period based on the biblical record to illustrate what a time of difficulty it has been. By understanding this, we can understand how important it is that we fulfill our responsibility today.

In the record of the Old Testament, history was a course of indemnification of an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a life for a life. The responsibility of the Fall passed from Eve to Adam, with Satan at the center. As seen from the standpoint of Eve after she had received the seed of false life, the Fall occurred when Satan took over God's position as Eve's father and became one with her to bear Adam. In the course of the Fall, Eve placed the Archangel in the position of her father and Adam in the position of her son. Consequently, women who in the course of the history of restoration through indemnity have come to stand in the position of Eve have had to risk their lives, if necessary, in order to assure that God's Will is passed on to the next generation.

When we study the historical record in the Bible, we come across a number of events that seem to defy explanation. God's original intention in His creation was that Eve would become one with God, her Father, and with God's son, Adam. As a result of the Fall, however, she became one with Satan and the false son, Adam. Immediately after the Fall, God began working through the family of Adam in order to undo what had been done, that is, to accomplish restoration through indemnity by the reverse course. He worked with Adam's family, because even the Fall had not deprived the members of this family of the element of eternity with which they had been endowed at their creation.

Cain, the first fruit of the love by which Satan took Eve, was conceded to the side of Satan, and Abel, who was born as the second fruit of the love with her husband Adam, was placed on the side of Heaven. This was the beginning of the history of the struggle between good and evil aimed at fundamental restoration through indemnity.

It was necessary in history that the second son be blessed so that the second-son realm of heaven could restore and claim the birthright of the first son held by Satan. For example, Cain and Abel made offerings to God simultaneously, but God received only the offering of Abel, the second born, while refusing the offering of Cain. The reason for this was that the second born had been placed on the side of Heaven.

Had Cain made his offering through Abel, an orderly path could have been established from God to Adam and to the Archangel, and restoration could have been accomplished. Because Cain killed Abel, however, Heaven established Seth and extended the Providence to the following generations.

Cain and Abel were brothers who had been born into this world. Because of their failure to accomplish God's will in their position outside their mother's womb, God's next dispensation had to be carried out within the maternal womb.

Thus, when Rebecca asked God why it was that Esau and Jacob fought within her womb, God said to her: "Two nations are within your womb; the elder shall serve the younger." (Gen. 25:23) From that time, Rebecca came to take greater care of the second-born, Jacob.

Jacob, as the second-born, had to restore through indemnity the birthright of his brother Esau. For this to be successful, Rebecca needed to fulfill her responsibility in the position of Eve.

The blow struck at the first-born of Egypt during the course of the Israelites' Exodus from Egypt and Jacob's switching of the hands of Joseph's sons Manasseh and Ephraim at the time of their blessing (Gen. 48) all contained the hidden will of Heaven to bring about a reversal of the realms of first- and second-born.

In her Fall, Eve deceived God, her Father, and Adam, who was in the position of her son. Rebecca stood on the side of Heaven and influenced the father Isaac and her son Esau so that Jacob could receive Isaac's blessing. Jacob purchased the birthright of the first-born, and initiated the lineage of the Israelites on the foundation of a victory won through the cooperation of a mother and her son. He conditionally claimed the first-son realm and the second-son realm for the side of Heaven, and established the foundation of victory for the Israelite nation that was to descend from him.

Jacob, however, was more than forty years of age at the time that he took full control over the birthright of the first-born. Thus, the realm of the human age prior to 40 was still left without the condition of having won victory over Satan. Once again, therefore, a dispensation was carried out for the purpose of gaining victory in the womb. Tamar, the daughter-in-law of Judah, had in her womb the twin songs Zerah and Perez. Although Perez was the younger, he pushed his brother Zerah aside in order to be born first. In fact, the name "Perez" is derived from this event (Gen. 38).

At the beginning of history, the lineage of Satan was planted in the maternal womb. With Tamar, the womb was restored to the side of God. The side of Heaven took control over the first-son realm and the second-son realm so that God's original lineage could be established. It was in this way that the tribe of Judah came to form the foundation on which the Messiah would later be born.

As a woman, Tamar placed herself in the victorious position of having won over her father and son she denied her father-in-law and his sons in order to separate the position of Eve from Satan. As a result of Tamar's separation of the womb from Satan, a basic tradition was established whereby God's children could be conceived and given birth without Satan's invasion. It was then up to the Israelites and Judaism to carry on this standard of victory in the womb until such time that the Messiah could be sent as the True Parents. Because Satan had already been able to establish his nations in the world, the sending of the Messiah had to wait until such time as the Israelites could establish a national base sufficient for indemnifying the other nations of the world.

God waited nearly two thousand years until there was a sufficient foundation and a woman who could stand in the position of Eve for Him to carry out His Providence. This finally took place through Mary, the mother of Jesus. When Adam and Eve committed the Fall, they were already engaged to be married at a later date. In the same way, Mary and Joseph were betrothed to each other centered on God. As with Rebecca and Tamar, Mary was a revolutionary woman called by God to take part in the process of recreating Adam.

Mary risked her life to form an absolute unity with God, and placed herself in the position of having deceived father and son in order to accomplish the history of restoration through indemnity. It was in this manner that Jesus was conceived. During the time that Jesus was in Mary's womb, Satan could make no invasion in terms of his lineage. Jesus was born of the womb of a victorious woman as the first fruit of the first love which could be claimed only by God. It was the first time in history that a child was born as God's only begotten son.

Even among the saints, there exists no one else whose birth followed such a process for making a separation from the satanic lineage. Thus, we refer to Jesus as a saint among saints. This was the reason that the Christian cultural sphere was able to spread throughout the world. Finally, in our century, God has worked to use the victory of the Second World War and the Christian cultural sphere to accomplish the unification of the world.

The Second World War had a particular meaning in the context of God's Providence. In this war, the effects of the Fall born of Eve in the brothers Cain and Abel were magnified onto a global scale. Thus, the island nation of Britain stood in the position of Eve. The United States, a nation historically "given birth" by Britain, stood in the position of Abel. France stood in the position of Cain, holding the birthright of the first-born. These three countries formed an alliance led by the United States. On the other side, the satanic Eve country Japan, the satanic Adam country Germany and the satanic archangelic country Italy formed the Axis Powers. It was God's plan to establish a unified world on the basis of the total victory of the Allied Powers, who had been placed on the side of Heaven.

God's fervent hope for the postwar world was that God and the True Parents the Adam who brings True Love could form a central point, around which humankind could make a quick separation from the false seed inherited from the false parent. Humanity could then make a new beginning by connecting to the True Parents' original True Love, true life and true lineage. In this way, the world would inherit the seed of True Love.

Opposition from Christianity, however, forced the True Parents into the wilderness. As a result, the course of indemnity built up through the four thousand-year history of Israel was lost. It became necessary for the True Parents to go a single-generation, forty-year course of reindemnification in order to bring God's Will to completion.

The coming Lord of the Second Advent comes as the third Adam. He brings with him the contents of the secrets of Heaven and completes a course of reindemnification of the satanic side on the level of individual, family, nation and world. He makes total indemnity for Adam's misdeed and the mission that Jesus left uncompleted.

In this way, the third Adam must take the Fall committed by the first Adam on the family level, and restore it through indemnity on the worldwide level. He then must complete the victory by restoring the entire world through indemnity.

The Reverend Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, and I, his wife Hak Ja Han Moon, standing in the position of the True Parents, have borne upon ourselves all the historical conditions of invasion from the satanic side. In a state of unity with God, we have walked the course of worldwide indemnity so that all of humanity may be liberated from their bondage. In contrast with Jesus, the True Parents are given the historic calling to climb over the Hill of Calvary without succumbing to physical death. It has been the fate of the True Parents to go this pioneering course.

Two thousand years ago, the mind-body split of the world could have been bound together in unity, if only Judaism, in the position of Abel, and the state of Israel, in the position of Cain, had become one for the purpose of attending Jesus. On this foundation, and centering on Jesus' True Love, the Israelites could have been grafted on to the true lineage and been reborn as the nation holding the birthright on a worldwide level.

The Israelites took great pride in the knowledge that they were God's chosen people, but they failed, at least at that time, to comprehend the Will of God for worldwide salvation centering on Jesus the Messiah. They only believed that when the Messiah came the whole world would bow down to the Kingdom of Israel. They did not realize that God's Will was not to limit salvation to the individual, family or national levels, but to bring it to the entire world. Today, Christianity faces a similar situation.

For the entire period of his thirty-year life on earth, Jesus invested every last ounce of his energy into the mission for national restoration. Finally, he was forced to leave it unaccomplished. In order to complete this mission, God in the twentieth century has established the United States, which has become the central Christian nation, in the position of a second Israel. The United States and Christianity are called at the time of the Second Advent to stand in the positions of Cain and Abel, respectively, in order to reindemnify the failure of the first Israel, that is, the state of Israel and Judaism of Jesus' time. It is up to the United States and Christianity now to accomplish restoration through indemnity and complete the work of unification.

As a result of Jesus' death on the cross, not only was the mission that should have been accomplished during the time of Jesus left uncompleted but also the nation of Israel itself was lost. For this reason, the Christian Church sought to establish itself as a spiritual state during the course of its history.

In the time of the Second Advent, it is necessary to reindemnify the failures of Israel. To do this, the Messiah of the Second Advent must be able to accomplish victory at the highest point in the world.

The biblical record of Jesus' trial and crucifixion contains references to three criminals: the two thieves who were crucified along with Jesus on his left and right, and the notorious prisoner Barabbas. These three represent three paradigms that came into being as a result of Israel's failure on earth. At the time of the Second Coming, the three paradigms can be identified as Christianity in the position of the thief on the right, Communism in the position of the thief on the left, and Islam in the position of Barabbas.

The Lord of the Second Advent is responsible for binding the left and right together to give them a common direction and then add the Islamic realm as well. He should make restoration through indemnity so that all things are resolved in a common direction. He comes with the crucially important mission to have all humanity, now speeding toward Hell, make a 180-degree turn toward Heaven.

Thus, Christ of the Second Advent, who has come in the position of the True Parents of humankind, has devoted undending efforts to gather together the entire spirit world and realign the nations of this world centering on Christianity so that God's foundation of victory can be reformulated on a worldwide level.

Centered on Christianity, however, Britain, the United States and France opposed the True Parents. Therefore, Heaven had the Unification Church prepared to take the place of Christianity. Through the Unification Church, it became possible for the True Parents to pass over the mountain of tribulation. Here, they were opposed not only by the communist world standing on the satanic side but also by the Christian countries and the entire world. Finally, now, they have come to the point where the side of Heaven can claim and welcome the satanic side. Thus, Korea, Japan and Germany now emerge in the world as countries able to receive the True Parents. God has been able to carry out His history of indemnity centering on these countries.

In the context of the worldwide dispensation of the True Parents, Korea has been placed in the position of the Adam country, Japan in the position of the Eve country, the United States in the position of the Abel country and Germany in the position of the Cain country. Japan was once an enemy country of the True Parents, the United States and Japan were once enemies and Germany was once an enemy of the United States.

The True Parents, in order to fulfill what Christianity and the United States failed to accomplish after the Second World War, have fostered cooperation among these four countries at the center of the Providence and walked a twenty-one year course of reindemnification. Through their success, they have established the realm of victory.

The Unification Church, which has victoriously crossed over the Hill of Calvary on the individual, family, national, world and cosmic levels, has given the United States a new sense of direction. It has given new hope to Christianity, and is resolving the issues related to the communist and Islamic worlds.

On the Korean peninsula, the Jacob and Esau of the twentieth century are faced off against each other in the form of the two Koreas. The True Parents, working with True Love in this conflict against Kim Il-sung in the position of the false parent, have restored through indemnity the realm of the victorious parent. Through this process, Korea is established as the Third Israel that has accomplished history's ultimate victory, and becomes the chosen nation of the new unified world.

Korea as the Third Israel is the base from which the True Parents and their children are able to accomplish their fervent hope for a unified world of peace. It holds a central position for building Heaven on earth and in the spirit world.

It should be understood that, from a providential standpoint, the great prosperity experienced by Korea, Japan, the United States and Germany in the postwar period has been due to the fact that these countries received God's blessing, with Korea as Adam, Japan as Eve, the United States as Abel and Germany as Cain.

In the Garden of Eden at the time the Fall was committed, the Archangel was with Adam and Eve. In this age, when the seed planted then on the level of the individual is bearing its fruit on the worldwide level, the Adam country of Korea is neighbored by the Eve country of Japan and three archangel countries the United States, China and Russia who vie for advantage on the Korean peninsula. With the protection of God, however, these countries are developing an alliance among themselves centering on Korea. Jesus was not able in his time to bring about a unification of the nations of Asia. Today, we are seeing the fulfillment of the Will of God to indemnify this on a worldwide level.

Similarly, the significance of the coming of the Asian-Pacific cultural sphere is that a worldly sphere of material and spirit such as what Jesus sought to accomplish in his time is now being constructed in Asia. In other words, the countries of Asia must now establish a unified world centered on the True Parents.

Now is the time to attend the True Father who has established the victorious tradition in world history and the True Mother, the global representative of women, who has gained victory as the representative woman in history. By doing so, we must establish not only a true concept of manhood but also the true concept of what it means to be a mother, a wife and a daughter. In the context of new families, we must make a new beginning toward a new society, nation and world and become forerunners in inheriting the tradition of the True Parents and harvesting the victory.

We women have the mission to give proper guidance to men who lead lives of moral decadence and disorder so that the tragedy of the destruction of Adam and Eve may be resolved within the context of history.

Beloved women members, today's gathering is being held by the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia for the important purpose of establishing the Women's Federation for World Peace. In the age of women that is now dawning, our members must embrace our husbands and properly educate our children so that we may be a model movement for practicing true love throughout the world. We must gain the active cooperation of our husbands and children for the development of the Women's Federation for World Peace.

Our women's movement is not for women alone. First, a movement of true love for our husbands and children must bear fruit in ideal families. The ideal families formed in this manner will come together to form ideal nations and an ideal world. For this reason, the Women's Federation for World Peace must some day develop into a federation of families for world peace.

For the sake of world peace, we women must take the lead in government, finance, culture and society. The basic values we should uphold in this federation of women are found in Headwing Philosophy and Godism. These values are what unite left and right and overcome atheist materialism. They are certain to be the guiding ideas of the world of the twenty-first century.

As women, let us remember our forebears Rebecca, Tamar and Mary, who fulfilled major responsibilities in the history of God's Salvation Providence. Let us inherit the strength of will by which these historic women overcame life-threatening dangers and difficulties. Let us establish our families as homes for true parents, true husbands and wives and true children so that we may join in the holy cause of changing this world of evil into a heavenly world. Let us march forward toward a world of peace centered on the True Parents, who are the center of True Love.

Dear Japanese families:

You longed to see True Parents, didn't you? I hope today's gathering can be the opportunity of receiving True Father in Japan. I pray for the blessing of God and True Parents to be deeply in your homes.

We, gathered here today, are all God's children serving True Parents. We are warriors of Unification, pioneers of God's providence and the forerunners of a new history, who are called by God to restore His original ideal world. At the same time we are standing in the position of tribal messiahs, protagonists of the era of the restoration of eldership, parentship and kingship, as blessed families reborn by God's true love, true life, and true blood lineage.

God led 6,000 of restoration history to find us today. God went through the path of undescribable hardship to establish the true love family on earth, enduring Satan's scorn and persevering.

God wanted to find true love, true life and true blood lineage through Adam's family, Noah's family, Abraham's family and Moses family, but established only conditions due to the disbelief and ignorance of human beings. And two thousand years ago, God tried to establish elder sonship and world kingship through Jesus Christ.

But Jesus was crucified. God could not help but delay His providence until the time of the second coming, swallowing bloody tears. God was forced to continue history for two thousand years, establishing the Christian church in the position of bride, with yearning and waiting for the coming bridegroom.

How can we describe the bitterness and sorrow of God during that time? When we look back to the restoration by indemnity path of True Father, to free God's "Han", we can fully understand how mind-scorching the internal situation of the providence was. And through Father's words, we can feel God's heart physically and understand the deep meaning of the restoration providence.

Father came as the Lord of the Second Coming, as the cosmic bride groom to complete God's true love and as True Parents to establish God's true love, true life and true blood lineage eternally. If God is the vertical parents of true love, True Parents are the horizontal parents of true love. Therefore, Father carries out the Blessing to spread true love on earth horizontally.

You, gathered here, are the blessed people participating in that true love from Father. The Blessing is precious and eternal. The Blessing and God's true love cannot be exchanged for billions of pounds of gold in the world. In one word, a blessed family is the fruit of six thousand years of restoration providence history.

In that sense, the gathering of blessed families here today has in itself the historic and cosmic meaning. This will be recorded as the biggest event in Japan's history. The descendants of Japan will celebrate this day forever.

Dear Japanese blessed and would-be blessed families! You have the power to change the history of the world and the potential to do anything in the era of the fulfilled promise. You have the spiritual power. Especially your country is blessed as the Eve nation and you are leaders of the era of fulfilled promise.

Father emphasized the importance of Japan as the Eve nation many times. Father said Eve must take the lead in the restoration providence. Father emphasized many times the importance of the mission of the blessed family, especially the mission of women.

I thought about this as a mother. I thought a lot of things as I watched Father speaking to Japanese leaders. Whenever Father stressed the importance of Eve's mission to the Japanese members, I felt Japanese members are very close to me because I also am Eve. If the Lord of the second Coming is the bridegroom, Eve is the bride. And Christianity should have taken the mission of Eve as bride. Christianity was the bride waiting for the bridegroom, holding the lamp.

If established Christianity had received Father, he need not have gone the road of indemnity. But in opposing Father, the bride betrayed the bridegroom. So Father feels sorrow. Without any foundation, Father had to walk the road of the forty years world level wilderness by himself. Father had to find his bride again. SO in the place of world Christianity, Father established HSA-UWC and chose Japan as the Eve nation.

Japan has more blessed families than Korea, because Father has blessed Japan as the Eve nation, namely the bride nation.

In this sense, Korea, the Adam nation in God's providence, and Japan are fated to be one. You know very well that the International blessing between Korea and Japan is the providential bridge to connect these two countries. And please remember that Koreans in Japan will play an important role for the restoration of the Adam nation--the Unification of South and North Korea.

Dear Japanese families, what is the mission of Eve? Eve has the position of bride, daughter and mother. Therefore, Eve has the mission of bride, daughter and mother.

First, as a bride, Eve has the mission to receive the bridegroom well. The body and mind of the bride belong to the bridegroom. And the bride must offer all of her property and belongings to the bridegroom. But only the bride can own the bridegroom's love. It seems that the bride offers all to the bridegroom, but she owns the bridegroom's most precious love.

Dear families of Japan, the Eve nation. In this sense, Father asked you to take up the financial responsibility and devotion for the restoration of the world. You are called to the place of offering all you have to God and True Parents in the position of the offering. Father repeatedly emphasizes the restoration of the economy, and the restoration of all things, and gives a huge quota to the Japanese members.

Father is very rigid when ordering Japanese leaders. But when praying in his room, Father sheds tears thinking of the hardships of the Japanese members.

Father prays with tears calling the name of the Japanese leaders one by one and thoroughly offers himself. Whenever I see that, I think that Father truly loves and cares for Japanese members.

Father knows of your situation. He knows how difficult it is to work at the front line of the restoration of the economy without beginning your home life. Even when sending me to this place today, Father gave encouraging words.

Dear Japanese members, Father loves you and prays for you even now. Secondly, Eve has the mission of daughter, which is serving parents and knowing the parents' situation more than anyone else.

Since I have thirteen children, I know the difference between daughters and sons more than anyone else. Sons like to go out and, through deeply understanding the parents' situation, don't care about details. But daughters, like Ye Jin or In Jin, seeks to please their parents and pay attention to every detail. It is said that parents without a daughter have no enjoyment and feel lonely. Even after marriage, the daughter worries about her parents. She worries eternally whether they eat well, are healthy, and so on.

Dear Japanese families, you are worldwide daughters of God, lovely daughters of True Parents. Have you thought about what God likes, and what kind of agony God has? What is their hobby, they have inconveniences in their daily life?

A daughter is always the substantial object of pleasure and consolation to her parents. Even when the parents exhausted, a bright and joyous daughter makes them forget their tiredness. Please do not forget that Japanese families are the representatives to stand before God and True Parents as objects of consolation and pleasure.

Thirdly, Eve has the mission of mother. A mother takes any sacrifice willingly if it is for her children's sake. Who would endure the pain of delivery if it were not for the child? Among you, those who have experienced delivery may know this. Mother's love is therefore sacrifice.

Mother's love is sacrificing all for the father and the children. And the mother should take the responsibility of the home life. She should take the responsibility of children's education and the father's health. There is no need to emphasize again how important the mother's role is in the restoration providence. Jacob's route is the prime lesson. Jacob could restore the right of eldership due to the help of Jacob's mother.

Dear Japanese families of the Eve nation. You are mothers of the world dimension, beyond Asia. You have the fate to sacrifice for mankind.

You have the responsibility to rescue mankind, who are suffering from war, crime, famine, and disease. So your fruits of blood and tears are used for the entire mankind by Father. You should show the example to humanity. As the Eve nation, Japan has the duty to care for the people of the world. It is not accidental that Japanese missionaries are dispatched to the whole world.

Dear Japanese families, especially women: The fulfillment of God's will depends upon you. Now mankind gradually becomes one family under one God. Now there should be mother's role. Mother's sacrificial love is needed. Only with that, peace is possible. Construction of the heavenly nation on earth then becomes possible.

We are gathered here to fulfill this object. To fulfill the mission of bride, daughter and mother before God and True Parents as Eve, let's go hand in hand and resolve to begin a new grandiose start combining heart and heart.

Yesterday we held the "Women's Federation for Peace in Asia" conference successfully. That is the historic total indemnity for all of Eve's sin, namely, the betrayal of God's love, and hoisting the banner of a new start as restored Eve. We came here together to advance the restoration providence to a new dimension by founding the "Women's Worldwide Federation of the Unification Church."

Now, I'll disclose our future mission. Before that, I hope you understand what time in the providence it is now.

As you well know, Father carried out the "Ceremony to Declare God's Eternal Blessing" on July 1, 1991, in Korea, and declared a new era. And Father founded the "Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace" on August 27 and the "Federation for World Peace" on August 28 in Seoul Korea. By that, Father established the foundation for world peace and spurred the construction of the heavenly nation. Now is the time for the democratic world and communist world to unify centered on True Parents. Since the Moscow conference last year, communism collapsed. And with the founding of the Federation for World Peace, the democratic world and the communist world are becoming one. The fact that four thousand second generation Soviet Union and Eastern Europe students heard Principle seminars means a decisive victory for Godism.

And now is the time of the unification of all religions centered on True Parents. It is truly surprising that both Christian leaders and its historic enemy, Muslim leaders, are greatly moved by Divine Principle are greatly moved by Divine Principle and participating actively in the Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace. Now the conflicts among different religions and denominations are over.

As the World Scripture was dedicated to Father, all the controversy over creeds came to an end. In this sense, Father made a unified church in Korea and opened a new chapter of unification of religion.

The Inter-Religious Federation for World peace and the Federation for world Peace are internally linked to the restoration of eldership, parentship, and kingship. Father completed the restoration of world level elder sonship through the Moscow conference last year and declared this on July 1. Therefore all the Cain dominion world will gradually collapse in family, tribe, national and world levels.

Due to the failure of restoring eldership, the religious and irreligious worlds divided and heaven and hell emerged. And spirit world exploited the human world. But from now one, the henchmen of Satan's forces will be unable to wield power at will.

Dear families, have confidence that evil rulers of the world shall be on their knees before us. The spirit world will unite with our direction and Satan's followers will be unable to approach us.

Father is emphasizing "Return to Hometown" to link the restoration of the elder sonship to the restoration of parentship. Originally, elder sonship and parentship were lost in the home. Therefore, to restore these, you must return to your hometown, where your home is, and establish the foundation of restoration centered on your own kin.

Father stressed home church from ten years ago. In particular, Father asked all blessed families to apply for "tribal messiahship, and by declaring tribal messiahship, Father established the foundation for the restoration of parentship.

Jesus also came as the Messiah, but he didn't establish himself as the Messiah before his own kin. But you received the great blessing of tribal messiahship on the victorious foundation of True Parents. We should all thank Father, truly.

Dear blessed families standing in the position of tribal messiah and members. We have before us the task of constructing heaven on earth and heaven in the spirit world through the restoration of kingship. On the foundation of the Federation for World Peace and the Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace, our future mission is the completion of restoration of kingship.

The true meaning of our gathering here today is for the construction of Heaven on earth and in the spirit world through the restoration of kingship. Because the mission of Eve is important now, we are founding the Women's Worldwide Federation of the Unification Church and confirm a new resolution.

One of the great women in the Old Testament is Esther, who became the queen of Persia dynasty as a descendant of the chosen people of Israel. She stood up with resolution to rescue Israeli people, risking her status of queen and her life. Fasting three days, she was courageous to shatter the conspiracy of Hayman. By one tender women, queen Esther, entire Israeli people got out of danger of death inflicted by gentile people.

Today we should take the lead in restoration of world level kingship with lessons of Esther's courage and wisdom. We must fulfill our mission as bride before Lord of the Second Coming. We should do the "Reception of the Lord of the Second Coming", which established Christianity of two thousand years failed to do.

In the past, Tamar risked her life to continue God's blood lineage. Mary, Jesus' mother, also risked her life to conceive Jesus. We cannot be behind them.

We should know clearly that we are called as protagonists in the era of restoration of eldership, parentship, and kingship. We must clearly recognize that we are tribal messiahs to transmit true love, true life, and true blood lineage to our kin and descendants.

Now let's win the "movement of 4, 300 altar church" which you are now engaging, like the bride who gives her body, mind and all belongings. In the position of an offering before the bridegroom, let us stand upright before God and True Parents. I am sure that you will overcome the hardships and certainly win.

Further, let us fulfill the mission of tribal messiah in the era of "Return to Hometown." If especially you succeed in placing the picture of True Parents among your family and relatives in your hometown, the restoration of parentship will be realized. Where True Parents exist, no Satan can appear. In Korea, the members who succeeded in (serving) placing pictures of True Parents are experiencing God's blessing and grace.

Finally, let us not fear the world. The Cain bloc is collapsing. Satan's forces are retreating. Let us march forward as bride, daughter and mother more confidently than any other women in history. After the declaration day of July 1, everything will be resolved earlier than our expectation due to the cosmic force, and True Father will completely win. When we work together hand in hand, with prayer and united hearts, our victory is sure.

As Mother, I know your situation better than anyone else. And though I my wish is that you all could rest, I cannot when I think of God's will and see Father's hard work. So I feel pain. I want to visit your home and share your situation and look at your growing children. The children of blessed families are God's hope.

Please don't lose courage. Let us advance strongly and courageously. Father and I will continuously pray for you and your descendants. I wish the blessing of God to be on your family and kin eternally. Thank you.

Japan's Role is Establishing World Peace

I would like to express my sincere congratulations to the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia for having grown, in a period of barely five years since your founding, to the point of being able to host such a wonderful fair as this.

Your country Japan is the object of envy around the world as a "miracle of the modern age" for the way in which it rose from the ashes of defeat in war to become one of the world's economic superpowers.

What is even more fortunate is that, even while it was accomplishing this remarkable industrial growth, Japan has taken care not to lose sight of traditional Eastern values. Japan has always paid considerable attention to issues concerning the family and social education. Such remarkable success has been possible only on the solid foundation of the meticulous and sacrificial efforts of women such as you, working as mothers and as devoted wives to raise healthy families and protect your homes. As a fellow woman, I share the pride of your accomplishments.

Leaders of the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia, the world is now in a historic period of transition. For over seventy years since the Bolshevik Revolution of l917, the Soviet Union was the sovereign power of communism, an ideology that conquered more than half of the world, took the lives of hundreds of millions and placed entire mankind into the crucible of terror and fear.

Now that county finally has taken down its Red Flag and is disappearing into the annals of history. This represents the defeat of the atheistic worldview and the limitations of a philosophy of dissention, struggle and hatred. It is a declaration of the downfall of the system of the Communist Party's one-party dictatorship.

On the other hand, the collapse of communism serves to help us realize an important fact about ourselves. The collapse of communism does not represent the victory of the free and democratic world. Communism set out by calling for economic equality, but finally met its end as a result of economic collapse.

In a parallel manner, the free and democratic world set out with cries for the ideals of freedom. In the shadow of that freedom, however, we see violence, sexual immorality, drugs and other symptoms of a confusion in values that is leading to the collapse of our own societies. As the curtain falls on the Cold War of the past four decades, we see it has been a contest with no winners. On both the right and left, there are only losers. The lesson we must draw from recent events is that this is the time for all of us, in the communist and free democratic worlds, to renew our efforts to seek salvation.

Capitalism and communism each had their beginnings in the West, and each was rooted in materialist values. For this reason, it was inevitable that eventually both would prove insufficient to satisfy the true desires of men and women, who possess a spiritual aspect in addition to the material.

Thus, the world today has entered an age in which Eastern societies, with our emphasis on spiritual values, must play a central role. Historically, the Asian continent has given birth to a number of spiritual cultures. Finally today, the time has come when the East must fulfill its mission in history as the world's spiritual pillar. The contemporary age is often called the Asia-Pacific Age." In fact, this will prove to be yet another great turning point in history.

Respected women leaders, I believe the reason Japanese society could maintain its historical values over the past and increasing economic abundance is that the women of Japan have eschewed public recognition for themselves and have chosen to dedicate themselves to the sacrificial task of protecting their families. In fact, the most important aspect of these historical values is the value system centered on the family. There is the old Eastern saying, "With harmony in the home, all can be accomplished." This signifies to us that the family is the basis for peace.

The most important element in building such a family is true love. "True love" refers to that absolute love that is centered on God. To have true love is to love that which cannot be loved. A person living in true love cannot help but love even his worst enemy. True love is a sacrificial love that enables a person even to lay down his life for another. Thus, within true love we are able to completely transcend all dissention and conflict not only among individuals but also in societies and nations. These will all pass away, and we will have true peace.

True love will become the motivating force for creation, propagation and development. Anything else that we may give out is simply spent and disappears. True love, in contrast, becomes greater the more we give it out. It returns to us in a much increased form. True love is what makes it possible for there to be such a thing as eternal life. The family and society that practice true love will never meet with ruin but instead will develop eternally.

Thus, the teaching of my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, for us to "live for others" indicates the basic direction we must follow in order to achieve a world of peace. The origin of such true love is God. God created man and woman as a way to actualize His true love. Why do you suppose that when God created us, He created men and women to be each other's mate? The reason is true love. God created us in this way so that there would be an environment of true love where the husband could share his love with his wife and the wife her love with her husband. By sharing their love in such a horizontal fashion, the husband and wife would be able to possess the love of God, their Creator.

When a man and woman marry, they are trying to create their own horizontal realm centered on true love. At the same time, from the vertical viewpoint, marriage is the way for us to possess the love of God. There is the right of inheritance in true love, and so it gives us possession of the Creator and all creation. This is how human desires are finally satisfied.

In this way, women cannot experience the love of God without men. Neither can men come to possess God's love without women. Thus, from the standpoint of possessing God's love, men and women are endowed with equal value to each other. When a husband and wife become one with each other, they become partners in God's true love. Then in this state centering on true love, the Creator and humanity come to have equal value to each other.

If the first created man and woman had established love between themselves in such a way, they would have become true parents, that is, the initial point from which God's love could be actualized. Unfortunately, mankind lost the true parents who were to have stood in God's place as the substantiation of true love, and so it has been necessary to recover the ideal of true parents and to establish a point of origin from which to realize true families, societies, nations and a world centering on true love. Thus, the world of the future will be an age not merely of the 'global village" in which the geographic barriers between us are overcome but also of the "global family" brought about through true love.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon, having come to know this absolute path of true love, has lived his life not for his own benefit but for the benefit of God and humanity, in spite of innumerable instances of persecution and suffering. In this way, he has laid the worldwide foundation of the Unification Church.

As the wife of one involved in such a global endeavor, and having this bond of victory centering on true love, I have been able to share his pain. The pain felt by the head of our house has been carved deeply on my marrow as the pain of the entire family. No matter what difficulties I face, I thought of the loneliness my husband would experience and tried always to maintain my smile so as not to betray my inner emotions.

I have lived for others in order to seek my happiness as a woman in the love of parents, the love of my husband, and the love of my children. As a matter of course, therefore, the goal of my life has been to live each day in greater gratitude and devotion to others than the previous day and to work so that I can live tomorrow in still greater gratitude and devotion.

Also, the reason I could be successful in carrying out my role as the mother of thirteen children, who have now grown into fine men and women, is that our entire family became one centered on true love. In any family in which God is able to dwell, the parents and children are able to share in His love, in His life and in His hopes for the future.

Respected leaders of the Women's Federation of Peace in Asia, the coming twenty-first century must not be the age of either U.S. /Soviet confrontation or an age of multipolar confusion. Instead, it must be an age in which the world becomes one centered on God's true love. The age is past in which economically and militarily stronger nations could prey upon their weaker neighbors and dominate the world. Now in this age, we must accomplish a world of oneness in which East and West, North and South, and all cultures, races and ideologies are fused into one based on Godism's teaching of true love.

Having begun in Asia, Godism must now go on to build a new Asian-Pacific civilization. Asia centered on Godism will be free of antagonism, dissention and struggle. Asians must demonstrate the model for establishing world peace through the practice of true love, in which each individual places the interests of the whole above his own.

Japan, which has been blessed with vast wealth, now needs to take a leading role in establishing world peace. Based on a spirit of true love that seeks to live for the world, Japan should serve the world. It should approach world problems as if they were its own and seek to sacrifice itself for the sake of the world community. In Seoul on August 27 and 28 this year, Rev. Sun Myung Moon founded the Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace and the Federation for World Peace.

The religions of the world have been given the mission to bring together all people centering on the one God and to build a union among them through true love. The reality, however, is that in the flow of history, religions have split into hundreds, even thousands of rival groups. The enmity and struggle among these groups has deteriorated to the point of bringing chaos to the way of faith through which humanity can seek God.

In the name of religion, innocent people have been condemned. Untold amounts of blood have been shed in innumerable wars fought in the name of God. Faced with this historical fact, we must acknowledge that without unity among these religions, there can be no coming together of peoples' hearts. Without religious unity, the hope for world peace only becomes increasingly more distant. Thus, it is a great historic accomplishment that this year a structure has been established for the unity of the religions.

Following the First and Second World Wars, the League of Nations and the United Nations were founded in order to resolve postwar issues. Existing international structures, however, fall far short when it comes to resolving the many serious issues left by what can be called the Third World War, that is, the Cold War of the past four decades.

Today's world community needs new means for working out solutions to conflicts between ethnic and cultural groups, to wide disparities between rich and poor and for establishing a true system of ethics and values. It is, thus, most timely that a new international structure called the "Federation for World Peace" has been founded on the basis of true love and the new philosophy of Godism.

The Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace and the Federation for World Peace represent the human mind and body. As such, they are working in the same direction and have a foundation that allows them to cooperate with each other. This suggests that the accomplishment of world peace is already close at hand. Rev. Sun Myung Moon has already prepared the important elements for creating the environment for world peace.

Respected women leaders of Japan: By practicing true love that seeks to give to Asia and the world, you can make today's historic turning point an important opportunity for Japan and Asia to take on substantially increased roles in the world community. I ask you to increase the breadth and raise up the level of your lives to fulfill your roles as the mothers of Asia and of the world. I ask you to take the lead in building a new world. No one can escape this fateful task that history has assigned to all of us today.

When Asia stands upright centered on the true love of God, then its future will be eternally bright and the world will be able to look forward to a future of hope, with the establishment of eternal peace and order.

In closing, I ask you to continue your diligent work for peace in a new Asia and for the future of the world.

I guess most of you here are blessed families. The purpose of this meeting is to organize the Women's Association for HSA-UWC and assign the officials according to Father's direction. Listening to member's opinion is one way to choose leaders, however, because Unification Church has international responsibility of this organization beyond Japan, it is better to choose people who have international manner and vision! I know there are many women leaders who dedicated and worked very hard in public missions for a long time. However, we would like to choose the leaders who can be a leader not only for Japan but also for the world. Higher level leaders are required now. I have made my decision in my mind.

I would like to talk about the attitude of leaders by taking an example of Adam and Eve. When God created man, He invested his entire energy, love and knowledge without taking a rest, without hesitation, and without sparing anything. That's how Adam and Eve were created. Why did Adam and Eve, in whom God invested His entire energy, fall? You already know about it through Divine Principle. Let me explain to you about their situation from emotional view point:

There were only Adam, Eve and Archangel in the Garden of Eden. When Eve fell, she was at the beginning of adolescent time. In this stage all girls are very sensitive and emotional. Those mothers who have experiences of raising girls can understand very well that girls become aware of the opposite sex earlier than boys. Eve knew that Adam was the spouse given to her by God. This is not written in Divine Principle book. Eve's eyes were open however Adam didn't have interest in Eve at that stage. He was more interested in running around, playing with animals, climbing trees, etc. He was not aware of Eve as an opposite sex, and he did not pay much attention to her. I guess Eve was lonely. At that stage boys are usually stronger physically. Boys usually win in running or any other physical competitions. Adam was not interested in Eve and he was playing around. Eve needed a spouse. She felt lonely. However, Adam was not totally aware of her situation. That was the situation of Adam and Eve.

Then, what was the situation of Archangel? When God created Heaven and Earth, he helped and cooperated with God. He had accomplished a lot for God. After the creation of Adam and Eve, God poured his entire love into them. Archangel felt that God did not need him any longer. He felt very lonely by thinking that God only need Adam and Eve. He recalled the time when there was no Adam and Eve, just him and God. He felt it was discrimination. Then, Archangel looked at Eve. She seemed to be lonely. His first motivation to approach Eve was to comfort her, which was not bad. However, as their relationship continued, Archangel began to have an ambition. He thought if he could use Eve he would be able to come back to his original position where he was loved by God.

The reason why I used the example of Adam and Eve is that whatever you do, the most important thing is to be patient. There are good people, bad people, people who are getting better, and people who are getting worse. There is only a shade of difference between them. Even in the Garden of Eden before the fall, the most important thing was perseverance. However, they could not persevere. From the Principle view point, another word for perseverance is complete obedience to central figure. Father is very strong physically and spiritually. He is bold, and courageous. However, his nature was such that he did not like to wait for something with perseverance. Even Father has been training to dominate himself before dominating universe. I heard about Father's childhood from Father himself and from his relatives. His character was like 'fire', and waiting with perseverance was impossible to him. He had a tremendous spirit like fire. Let me give you an example. When he came back home from school, he threw his 'furoshiki' (A piece of cloth which was used to wrap school books those days) and shouted "Rice!". If he did not get rice within a minute, that was the end of his patience. That Father has accomplished self-dominion. Even 80 year old Moses could not persevere and hit the rock twice. Father still has a nature like fire, but he became the person who can persevere than anybody else.

Brothers and sisters, you have learned the Principle of Restoration academically, theoretically or intellectually. However, the history of restoration is real history of bearing unbearable things. Father's nature is to do things quickly, however, he persevered for the sake of universe. It was not just people who persecuted Father. Even God had denied him. Please think about the situation that Father had to go through. What time and what kind of attitude and heart he had. Who on earth can trust and attend God who rejects you? Father had done it. That is the greatness of Father. (Mother is the only person who has been experiencing and acquiring hidden truth of the Divine Principle, which did not come up to the surface of history of restoration, for more than 30 years after the Holy Wedding.)

The reason why I can not but cry when I think about Father is because I always feel that I haven't done complete job yet to comfort Father's heart. When I think about Father that he had spent so many years lonely and alone, I feel a lot of pains in my heart. (Mother also had persevered so many years in her very unusual and special course, compared with other women.)

I would imagine what kind of situations you went through -- through when you received your new central figure sent by us (True Parents) . I know you had gone through some complex feelings. You might have lots of things to say and express. You must have been very tired. However, I would like to ask you to wash all these away and start new with perseverance. I would like to guide and lead you to gain victory by sharing my experiences of perseverance. When I think about Father, I feel lots of pains and I have lots of things to tell you. But for now, I have to push this gushing feelings away. I want to comfort you so that you can make a new start. In order to prepare your heart to receive new president and 200 other Japanese leaders from America, I would like to tell you another story.

Jacob could restore birthright because of his mother's help. Jacob could see the entire situation more from God's view point than his brother, Esau. Jacob tried to attend God. Jacob tried to see things centering on God. Jacob knew God's providence fully. He had much stronger desire to serve God than Esau. Jacob gained the birthright and he had labored for 21 years in Haran. He was purifying his position and was waiting for the time to go back to his home town. Let me explain more about his situation. When he was coming back to his home town, do you know what kind of heart he had? It is described in the Bible that he took his entire property with him like as horses, cows, sheep, slaves, etc. He sent his children and wives first, and he was the last person. His heart was not peaceful and calm. He was worrying how Esau would treat him. He was wondering how he would face his brother. He spent sleepless nights. He worried, and he made strategies. As a result, he gained victory. He was welcomed by Esau. Jacob could conquer Esau naturally with his love from providential view point, and he drew a line of victory in the history of restoration. He had gone through so many things to reach to that point of victory. At the Jordan River, his thigh bone was broken through the fight against -- Angel. But he overcame, and Angel blessed him as Israel.

President Kamiyama had been in America for 19 years. I would think that he never thought of going back to Japan again. One day he was called by Father and suddenly it was decided. Now, he is coming back with 200 other leaders. We have to learn from Jacob's course. However, he didn't come back with many fortunes on the contrary of what Jacob did. He came back taking only 'Father' with him. He brought 'True Parents' with him as Jacob did with his entire fortunes. What is the mission of Father? It is to proclaim that the time has come to restore the sovereignty.

The leaders who have it is easy to say with words. Think about to go back to Japan leaving True Parents. Father sent them as soldiers to Japan before he puts them to the world. So, you should be able to embrace them. This is the time for unity.

This is the time when Jacob and Esau meet each other again.

Back to True Isn't it your utmost joy to return Joy and comfort Parents while they are on the Earth by accomplishing what they asked?

I felt sorry when I came to the meeting at 10:40 am, though I asked you to come at 10 am. I was late because I had received a telephone call from Father. He gave me special instructions about specific situations.

As a mother who loves you very much, I would like to tell you, "Let's attend True Father!" By establishing the foundation to unite North and South Korea, you can come up to Father and tell him to please complete the unity between North and South Korea. Will you do so?

I would like to tell you one more thing. (Mother one day told us in a manner mixing half jokes and half seriousness.) Do you really understand how much indemnity I had to pay for the blessed families? If some other woman were assigned to be a True Mother, do you think she would be willing to offer 13 children? The life of Hon harumoni (Grandmother Hon) was the life of total dedication and sacrifice for the sake of God's Will. (Mother's life is too ) I often thought that I would be willing to sacrifice myself if my sacrifice could make True Father's course easier without tragedies. Many people think that because I am a True Mother I can easily produce many children. Please think about it deeply. I know you are sacrificing yourself to God's Will through fundraising and witnessing. You should be proud of having True Mother who offered 13 children to True Father so that he could organize 12 tribes that Messiah needs to have in God's Providence. I wouldn't say in detail, but I hope you understand what it means through the course of Jacob.

I am very interested in the education of blessed children. Second generation is the treasure for God. It is very important to know how to educate them. It is utmost important to educate them as a whole person centering on God, not just educating them intellectually. There shouldn't be repetition of mistake of Adam and Eve. Absolute not. I am depending on you. Religion is the base of education. Education in the family has utmost importance. Family is the primary training ground for education. Education of faith, education of heart, education of attending True Parents, education of attending and uniting with True Children. If you succeed in those areas, you can truly succeed in education. Specially for sisters it is important to use right text books and to show good example by your deeds. You have your breakfast everyday, don't you? It is what everybody is doing. But in the blessed family, we should teach children the tradition through daily life. Teach them that True Parents are with them in their home(in spirit), and offer food to True Parents first (in front of their picture) then have a meal together as a family. By offering food to True Parents, you show your attendance to True Parents to your children. You might think that you are too busy to find time to do so, or it is just wasting time. You make it a habit as a part of your daily life. You can give the food which was offered to True Parents to your quests, or you can have it for your lunch. It is not a waste of food or time at all. Absolutely not. Before your children grow up too big (to be taught) -- you have to make it a life. Start your day with children by reading words, and read them before you go to bed. "Whose words they are? This is God's Word and True Parents words. They can guide you to become God's sons and daughters." Life is the opportunity for education. Habit for their True Parents' you understand Parents words.

Moreover daily, blessed children need to have connection with True Children. Send birthday gifts to True Children, like pencils, erasers, ball point pens, etc. If you cannot send any gift, you can send birthday cards, or pray for them, or ask your children to write a letter to them. As the years go by, blessed children should weave the thick heartistic rope of connection to True Family. That is the education.

The Woman's Association of World Unification Church. This is not just symbolic organization as Eve's nation. You should not think that this has nothing to do with man. Make a donation besides your current mission. Establish the tradition of tithing. Many a little makes a mickle. Register individually including your sons and daughters' names. Donate more than 10,000 yen a month. Make a habit of tithing. Begin with a small step. Establish that tradition. You are tithing to the church already, however, besides that you can make a donation to the Woman's Association. Be a initiator to lead others. All these donations made with gratitude to True Father can be a pillar of fire to mobilize others. Flowers blossom and make fruits. If you gather each one of your strength together, many a little makes a micklel (In Japanese it literally means 'many piles of small dusts can even make a mountain'). Will you do it?
