Children's Day 1984

In Korea we have an old saying that sons and daughters always feel regret when the parents are not there or have passed away. When the parents are still present the children do not appreciate their value and love. But when the parents are gone they desperately try to make up for the lack of filial piety they showed toward their parents.

In the fallen world there is no terminology such as True Parents, Parents Day, or Children's Day. Because of the fall all these wonderful heavenly blessings were lost. Only because of the presence of the True Parents are we able to celebrate Children's Day; only because of their advent are we able to talk about the True Parents and attend and love them.

When we think of these most historical, magnificent accomplishments we are deeply moved by occasions like the one we celebrate today.

We know we are the people chosen from all the multitudes of humanity to know and serve the True Parents. I am sure we are going through a great deal of repentance, for shame has stained our church's history.

When God handpicks someone it is for the sake of the world; the world providence and world dispensation is in God's mind.

We have learned about the many failures and setbacks in providential history. That should provide ample lessons to all of us. But today when we look back at ourselves, we can see we are in a way duplicating the history of the past.

We have heard frequently from Father that unless you have a solid foundation, you will be sorry. Over and over Father has told us this.

Father's life has always centered upon the well-being of humanity and the entire world. Father is thinking of nothing but the restoration of the world. In this he walked a very lonely path because he did not have enough support or foundation. But under those circumstances he was always forgiving, embracing, and loving. That has been the path of our True Father.

"My Theme Is Unity"

So during this time of Father's incarceration and suffering, the only truly reciprocal response on the part of the children would be to bring unity among all the members of our church. Of course it is very important to have unity between mind and body on the individual level. But as brothers and sisters, as children of God, although uniting among ourselves is not easy it absolutely must be done.

The unification of the world is a gigantic task, but it begins on a small scale. This small scale is the trinity -- this is why we have a trinity system. When these three persons are unselfishly united among themselves a total unity is formed -- that is the beginning point of world unity.

When we look at the significance our contributions have brought to the world, there's no good reason we cannot unite, no reason we cannot become one. Just a little bit of effort and a little bit of self-analysis and a little bit of self-giving will bring total unity of the trinities.

Today I speak to you representing the True Parents, and my central theme is unity. I urge unity among brothers and sisters, particularly within the trinity system, which is the beginning point of all unity. I urge you to look forward to the day when we will celebrate the holy days of our church in the presence of both True Parents. Let us never repeat this type of ceremony again in our history.

Fulfilling Il Jeung Prayer

You know we have the Il Jeung prayer condition. I hope all of you are fulfilling the Il Jeung prayer. I would like to ask you to establish from this Children's Day a 40-day prayer condition in which the trinities get together, pray, and become united. We make this condition so that God may amply bless us, so that miraculous blessing can come to us in the next 40 days.

The blessed couples in this area will come to Belvedere and pray at the Holy Ground. And if all three trinity members cannot be present then at least one should represent the trinity.

Our prayer condition so far has been under Rev. Won Pil Kim's supervision, and for a special reason we have been doing it in the World Mission Center. Now I wish to bring it back to Belvedere and East Garden. Have a prayer list of the people who come to attend that ceremony. There's a security problem as well, so everything has to be planned and organized in advance.

I feel that the people who have gathered together in this room are united. The restoration of America can be very easy and should be done quickly. The key to this is unity among the people in this room.

Although I show some tears in this ceremony, I want you to know that my feeling is one of peacefulness and gratitude. I want to live all my life in the spirit of gratitude. That is the foundation of my life.

Letters From Members

Recently there was an extraordinary leadership seminar -- the CAUSA-USA Seminar which was held Oct. 15-19 in the World Mission Center. Father and I received testimonial letters from the members who attended it. In those testimonies many older members said that even though they have been in the church for nine, ten, or fifteen years, this time is like the first time they came to know the heart of our True Parents, the true heart of our Father. Father and I were deeply moved by the members' beautiful repentance, rededication, and commitment. These were the expressions of people who first came to know the heavenly heart. Behind all the external bustle of activities, there is always the suffering heart of God, which is embodied in the True Parents. And now members, and particularly leaders, are coming to understand and grasp this heart.

Father calls me at least twice every day. I also go to meet him every other day in Danbury. There's only one thought in Father's mind: How can I accomplish God's dispensational will?

Jeung Jin Nim and Father

I'd like to talk about the children. As you know, this is school time, so most of the East Garden children are going to school. Even the older one of the two youngest daughters is going to pre-kindergarten class. So the only one who always goes with me to Danbury is Jeung Jin Nim. And as you know, she is very cute and lovely and behaves very beautifully. She always says: "I want to go to Danbury." She comes out and volunteers to go to Danbury every morning. And when we go to Danbury she always brings a lot of joy to Father, kissing and embracing him. Then on the way out she always shouts out: "Daddy, I love you!" a number of times, so that everybody can hear. She cries it out with such a genuine heart.

Even this morning as I was getting ready for the ceremony, after I got dressed, Jeung Jin Nim came in to my meditation place and quietly asked me, "Where is Daddy? We want to have Daddy here!" She kept asking, so I said: "You know Daddy is in Danbury." Then she understood and she did not ask any more. The reason I am telling you this is not just because I want to tell Jeung Jin Nim's story, but because of Father's reaction to it.

Jeung Jin Nim is always so loving and acts so beautifully that no parent could help but love her; but foremost in Father's mind is dispensational activities, our achievements, and how the leaders are doing -- God's will. Father is primarily concerned about the work of our church, so he wants to spend most of his time listening to the reports and pays very little attention to Jeung Jin Nim. Only after Father sees that activities are going well does he spend a very little time with Jeung Jin Nim -- just saying good-bye to her. Father's immediate concern is not the well-being of his own children, but the dispensational will and the state of the world and humanity. He has lived his entire life in that fashion.

We Are Adults

I want you to have pride this morning. This is our True Father, your Father. We ought to make effort to imitate Father a little bit more every day. If you do that there will be no reason you cannot unite; no reason you cannot accomplish important work and bring about great miracles. If we truly understand our Father there is no room for our complaints. There's no room for selfish pursuit of any kind in front of this kind of Father.

In my prayer this morning I said that we are all mature, we are not children any longer in the sight of God; we are adults. Father has been pouring out all his energy to nurture us, discipline us, teach us, and help us grow -- and now we are grown up. When we have been trained by such a Father for so long we can act as conscientious men and women; we will be truly responsible to fulfill Father's will as adults. That is the role of sons and daughters of filial piety.

An Intimate Leaders' Conference with Mother -- Hak Ja Han

Susan Fegley Osmond
October 4, 1984

HakJaHan-841004.jpg

On October 4, about 60 church leaders gathered in the living room of East Garden for a conference with Mother.

Alter wishing everyone a happy Day of Victory of Heaven and a happy Day of Liberation (in memory of Father's release from a South Korean prison), Mother talked in an informal, relaxed manner about what she has been doing since Father entered prison.

She first invited all the leaders to feel at home -- to he relaxed and free and to converse honestly with each other for the betterment of our movement. It had been three months since the last conference, and she likened the meeting to a warm homecoming. Mother said she appreciates it when her own children freely confide in her, and she urged people not to feel distant:

"Dignity is important, but not at the price of intimacy."

Mother then went on to say that she knows many members have gone through deep soul-searching and repentance. While it is true that Father is suffering for our iniquities and those of all humanity, she said, "we cannot afford to live with a guilt complex." We ought instead to become people of unfailing love. "Love encompasses everything; it overcomes all difficulties. In the end it is love alone that prevails," she said.

Mother visits Father every other day. Sometimes she sees him two or three days in a row. In addition to this, Father calls her twice every day -- in the early morning and late at night whether she has visited him that day or not. She thus has to know what's going on in our movement to give complete reports to Father.

In the little free time she has, Mother watches Korean video dramas, from which she has learned many things that can be related to our movement.

In one story which took place during the Yi Dynasty (which ruled Korea during the 500 years before 1910) she observed that when the subjects of the country, particularly the leaders, supported the royal family and were united and unselfish among themselves, the kingdom flourished. However, when the people surrounding the king were fighting, due to jealousy and self- centeredness, the kingdom suffered serious decline.

A modern story about a couple, who through an accident that happened to the wife lost the ability to have children, particularly impressed Mother. According to Korean tradition, because the husband in this case was an only son himself, he would be expected to divorce her and remarry. This husband, however, chose to remain loyal to her although she was barren and half-paralyzed, saying that their souls would be one for eternity. "This story made me realize that Father is truly the most wonderful husband,' said Mother, "and at the same time he is the most wonderful, loyal bridegroom to all humankind. Even though America and the world, as a bride, rejected and mistreated him, he never abandoned her. Father will never mistreat his own bride."

In another historical drama, Mother observed that each of the Korean kingdoms had its founding elders. They were riot always the most intelligent, wise, or talented people, but because of their loyalty, experience, and vital understanding of tradition, they proved to be the kingdom's most valuable assets. Mother likened them to the Unification family. Although, she said, our elder blessed couples may not be the most efficient, educated, wisest, or most perfect people, they have gained a depth of heartistic understanding that is irreplaceable:

They are the fruit that our Father gathered under the most difficult circumstances. They understand the depth of his suffering heart. They shared sorrow and hardship, but also deep joy together. We all know the contents of Principle, but the center of Principle is heart. These elders came into a heartistic relationship with our True Parents. Through rain and sunshine, hardship and victory, they have always remained there supporting the True Parents, and they live and die for the sake of the mission granted to them.

Mother said that while younger members may be better educated, may have heard Father speak more often and so have a better grasp of his ideas, the Korean elders, through their long experience of serving True Parents, have gained something impossible to gain any other way. For that reason they can contribute a great deal to us, and to the tradition of our church. "They might look ugly sometimes, even dirty," Mother said, ''but they are there to provide the vitality needed for the Kingdom to survive and flourish."

When the parents are away, she said, it is natural for the younger children to turn to the older ones for guidance and comfort. Mother asked that American members develop deeper respect and love for the elder Korean and Japanese brothers and sisters. It is important for us to inherit the traditions they have learned. She asked for understanding and harmony among all members, and particularly for unity among the Koreans, Japanese, and Americans.

The conference was a precious opportunity to meet Mother on an intimate level. Throughout the meeting she was warm and relaxed. She truly treated everyone there as her beloved children, and in her glowing presence an atmosphere of peace and love reigned. In order to make October a victorious month, Mother asked in conclusion that we prepare for Children's Day by striving to be united as one loving family.

God will never lose under any circumstances

Hak Ja Han
October 1984

HakJaHan-841000.jpg

According to my understanding, God will never lose under any circumstances. Through the rallies you understand the reaction of the Christian ministers all over the country: During that time, we gained, God gained; our movement gained incredible benefit. What an achievement. Rev. Chung Hwan Kwak came this morning and reported to me about how difficult it is, for; example, to try to change the concept of faith of one minister who has believed in his theology for 40 years or his entire life, and transform the old tradition into new one.

For instance, when the East Garden garage burned down, we began rebuilding it into a usable structure. If it had been designed and built up from, scratch we would have finished it a long time ago.

Restoring an old structure, an old foundation, and trying to build on top of it. That takes an incredible amount of time, energy and money -- two or three times as much is needed to finish the job. That is how difficult restoration is.

I am speaking to you about this today to remind you that we must know the heart of Heavenly Father, who has suffered for 6000 Biblical years. He is trying to restore the fallen generation. You can well imagine how difficult that is. Restoring one house is difficult; restoring one person of faith is more difficult. How much more of a burden it is, then, to restore this generation after 6000 years of fallen history. Furthermore, Father came to assume that responsibility, and for his 60 years has given his life, blood and sweat to restore humankind on behalf of our Heavenly Father.

You can well imagine what a virtually impossible task it is. In my 24 years of life with Father, ever since the Holy Wedding, I have encountered and experienced numerous critical and urgent occasions on which emergency was declared. Many times I thought that everything was lost. All effort seemed to have ended up without result So many times I was faced with despair, doubt and hopelessness. But every time such a situation occurred, Heavenly Father poured upon us great blessing and extraordinary victory. During all these times, Father's steadfastness and strong faith and determination were extraordinary and incredible.

He never shed tears under such difficult circumstances; he never weakened himself. He never became discouraged. Nothing under the sun can deter the spirit of Father. I observed that spirit all this time.

Honorable chairman, eminent scholars, ladies and gentlemen:

On behalf of Rev. Moon, the founder of ICUS, may I take this opportunity to bid farewell to all of you. The ICUS conference each year is almost like a family gathering. The days of the conference pass so quickly that when the time comes to say goodbye. we always feel that it should last longer. This year is no exception. I feel very sad that we must depart.

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations for your wonderful accomplishments in this Thirteenth ICUS Conference. Rev. Kwak reported to me that the quality of this year's conference was exceptionally good. It was highly academic and yet profoundly soul-searching. Many excellent papers were presented and seriously discussed. Out of this conference will emerge many new ideas. Great research will be done and ultimately. important solutions to the world's problems shall be devised. All in all, I feel very happy for the successful conclusion of this conference.

When my husband initiated ICUS thirteen years ago, I really did not have any idea about the value of these conferences. However, now that we have reached the level of accomplishment which we see today, I am simply astonished at the greatness of the ICUS vision. In this age of specialization, we clearly see the need to deal with global problems in their entirety. In this respect, this science conference is very unique. It is probably the only forum where world problems can be examined from such a holistic perspective. I have now come to the firm belief that the problems of the world can only be solved by this approach. I am very proud of Rev. Moon's vision. I admire his foresight, not because he is my husband, but because he is a man of great ideals.

I would like to congratulate Dr. Mellanby as the chairman of the conference for his great leadership. Dr. Mellanby, my husband asked me to tell you how appreciative he was of your visit to Danbury prison to see him along with Dr. Kaplan and Dr. Rubenstein. My husband was moved by your kindness. May I ask all of you to join with me in giving our chairman and Mrs. Mellanby our warm applause.

I would also like you to join me in giving Dr. King and Dr. Villee, the vice-chairmen of the conference, as well as Dr. Weinberg and Dr. Wigner, our plenary speakers, our warm recognition for their great contributions. Let us give them and their wives a round of applause.

I thank you also, all committee chairmen, for your inspiring leadership and hard work. May we give them and their wives our kind applause.

We have held our conference this year in Washington, DC, the nation's capital. Washington is a city of statues and monuments. Only a few blocks from here are the Capitol Building and the White House. It is astonishing to think that the destiny of our world is largely dependent on the decisions made in this city. I only wish that they would listen more to you. When the time comes that you play a prominent role in the decision-making process of all nations, I know that our world will become a more peaceful world to live in.

Last Monday I met my husband at Danbury prison. He has been praying for this conference and his spirit has always been with you. He asked me to tell you that he will be looking forward to seeing you next year. He was deeply appreciative of your concern, your support and your prayers for him.

I am also looking forward to next year's conference, especially since I won't have to deliver another speech at that time. I will just enjoy the relaxed dinner and the applause for my husband's good performance. To be honest, when I know that I will have to make a speech afterward, I cannot enjoy the dinner at all. Now that my speech has come to an end, I feel very hungry.

God bless you all and have a safe journey home. See you again next year.

Thank you very much.

Honorable chairmen, eminent scholars, ladies and gentlemen:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of you to this Thirteenth International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences (ICUS). It is because of your participation and diligent effort that each annual meeting has become increasingly important and successful.

Because my husband is not able to be here, he asked me to express his deepest gratitude to you all for coming to participate in this year's meeting. [Rev. Moon was in prison in Danbury CT.] Your presence here is a testimony to the seriousness and excellence of this conference. It also indicates the importance this meeting has for the academic community and the world as a whole.

Since this is a very unique occasion for me I would like to take this opportunity to express some of my own testimony regarding the work and vision of my husband, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon.

My husband does not live for himself. He lives for God and for his fellow man. Now, however, he is confined to a federal prison.

Some of you may wonder why Rev. Moon has had to go the way of imprisonment. I only want to tell you that as a crusader for God, my husband has suffered attacks and persecution throughout his life.

Mother welcomes Dr. Claude Villee, Jr., professor of Biochemistry at Harvard University Medical School and one of the two vice-chairmen of the conference, as Hyo Jin Moon stands ready join in the welcome.

Mother welcomes Dr. Claude Villee, Jr., professor of Biochemistry at Harvard University Medical School and one of the two vice-chairmen of the conference, as Hyo Jin Moon stands ready join in the welcome.

In 1971, he was called by God to come to America and lead a movement to revive the fervor of Christianity and the founding spirit of the nation. He has often said to me that he might encounter some persecution and he might even suffer imprisonment. Despite that, he said he must go to America to do this God-given mission, because the survival of the entire world depends on America fulfilling her responsibility. For the last years, he has given his heart and soul and every drop of sweat and tears for the sake of this nation and the world.

I thank God that at this critical juncture my husband has become a rallying point for religious freedom in the United States. The spiritual awakening in America is at last happening, and the unity of Christianity is also a fact. All these goals are so dear to my husband, and he is willing to give his life for these purposes.

The religious leaders of different creeds, races and nationalities are showing their solidarity with my husband and their support for religious freedom. It is very heartwarming for me to see this expression of support. My husband feels that he is not alone.

He is praying every day in prison for God to bless this country. Ile is grateful to God that he has been given the extraordinary responsibility of leading the fight for religious freedom.

I am proud to be the wife of Rev. Moon, the mother of his children, and a firm believer in his vision.

HakJaHan-840903-3.jpg

Support Appreciated

In this hour of tribulation for my husband, for my family and for our movement, I thank you profoundly for your sympathy, love, support, and most of all, for your prayers. My husband joins with me in expressing our gratitude to you all.

ICUS has always been very special to my husband. It is a remarkable example of a project devoted to the building of the Kingdom of God on earth. Bringing together scholars from all parts of the world and from every academic discipline, it has the potential to address and solve the world's problems in ways that no other organization can do.

My greatest desire and prayer at this time is that you will continue to support the vision and work of ICUS and that you will continue to find ways to actively fulfill the crucial responsibility of the academic community. If you do that, there is nothing more that will please my husband.

As for the Founder's Address that my husband gives every year as a tradition, may I call upon our eldest son, Hyo Jin, to do it. It would be a great favor for me if you would kindly permit my son to deliver his father's message.

May God bless you, your families and your work. Thank you very much.

To Live In Utmost Gratitude

Leaders' Conference
Belvedere

HakJaHan-840731.jpg

I know that all of you have been working very hard. Father urged us to have this leaders' meeting today, to unite our goals and our plans for the days and months to come. Knowing that you would all be coming today, I thought yesterday about what to tell you.

I have but one life goal: to live in utmost gratitude. Today I will be more grateful than yesterday; tomorrow I will be yet more grateful. However, I must confess to all of you that even though I feel that I have to be strong, determined, and constantly moving forward, it is sometimes inevitable that I feel rather weak, rather sentimental and emotional, and that is the truth of the matter.

I always think: What is the true way to pursue a life of faith in God? If we have a way of knowing the will of God precisely, then to fulfill that will is, of course, ideal. But in many cases we do not have that good fortune. So we stumble, wander, and go back and forth -- we all have some feeble tendencies. For that reason I feel that the best virtue in pursuing the path to heaven is to obey: Obey God, His will, and Father. I know we always learn great lessons from history. Seeing these, we redetermine ourselves, saying that we must not repeat some of the mistakes committed in history.

I am sure that 2000 years ago, before the coming of Christ, those people who believed in Judaism would have thought the same thing. They wanted to make no mistake when the time came. However, as you know, even though they did not realize it themselves, they made a great blunder. They committed the most serious error in history. You know the subsequent 2000 years of Christian history.

Today, where are we? Are we sure that we are not committing the same mistakes and blunders that people have made on many occasions and in different times throughout history? Do we have confidence that we are not going to make the same mistakes again?

Father gave a parting word to me at the last moment before he left for Danbury. He said that you must not complain about the situation. Rather, you must live in gratitude about it. When you are completely united in gratitude, this will create a foundation for true, lasting unity. When there is unity a great miracle will come. Those were Father's last words.

You know Father's history very well. Father needs to be received by the people. The Messiah came to be accepted. If in the early days of his life the people and the nations had accepted Father, he would have gone a different path. However, people again and again rejected him. They rejected, and rejected, and rejected again. For that reason, Father had to always take the secondary path. But no matter what difficulties, persecutions and tribulations Father faced, he did but one thing: God's will. In each situation, when he found the best way to fulfill that will, Father committed himself a thousand percent, and didn't deviate even one iota from that will.

You have learned Father's history and his way of life through the testimonies of the elder brothers and sisters. After he arrived in the United States, you know yourselves what Father's path was. He lived every moment of his life with one principle in his mind -- that he would never be indebted to others. Rather, he preferred that others feel indebted to him, feel grateful for him. He wanted to serve humanity and live for the sake of others. There is not a single moment of the day he does not try to serve humanity, knowing that he cannot afford to be indebted to others.

When Father left for Danbury, I saw him in utmost determination. Once Father saw that imprisonment was his destiny, at that moment Father forgot about himself and thought only about one thing: how to comfort Heavenly Father and redetermine himself to bring, under the circumstances, the best kind of victory he can to Him.

I have already gone to Danbury many times during Father's incarceration. I am sure you have previously heard that I spoke to another group of leaders here in Belvedere. Conveying Father's message I said that during the first forty days we must become miracle workers. I know Father wanted to comfort me and the children. He said, "Don't worry about me. I am not in pain. This forty-days is much better for me than a forty-day fast and prayer; it is better than that condition."

Father told me that 2000 years ago, when Jesus went up the Mount of Golgotha for the crucifixion, he was utterly alone. There was no sympathy, no understanding, no support, not even from his own disciples. But the difference today, 2000 years later, is that people see Rev. Moon has done nothing wrong. First of all the followers are with him. Secondly, the religious leaders now feel that he has done nothing wrong; they are united with Father. Moral people around the world are supporting Rev. Moon. So Father is not alone. Furthermore, Father said that by his incarceration, unity will come to the Christian community, so that for the first time in history God's age-old desire for the unification of Christianity is now possible. Father notes that this is happening 2000 years after Christ.

As you know, Father has reiterated in his instructions through the years that we need 30,000 solid members in the United States to fulfill God's will. Unfortunately, we haven't complied with that wish. Now, Father said, the time has come. God is giving you the opportunity to bring unity among 30,000 ministers. This is the opportunity. You can do it. Father has clearly defined the goal. I am sure all of you regained the confidence to achieve that goal by attending the Washington Rally and Pageant on July 25 at Constitution Hall. The purpose of this meeting today is to expand the success of the Washington Constitution Hall Pageant to a nationwide scale.

A Modern-Day Moses

I want to convey to you Father's message for all the leaders of the Unification Church. First of all, we must realize that this time is equivalent to when Moses ascended the mountain and fasted for forty days, receiving the Ten Commandments. Father is in the position of a modern-day Moses. Father entered the mountain, which happened to be Danbury, and he is proceeding with a special dispensation, fulfilling a special purpose there. This period particularly is a time for unity centering upon True Parents and the True Family in East Garden. All blessed couples should be united together. That is internal. We have already done all the external unity; it is all well set. Now all the religious communities and the denominations of Christianity are coming together. This is the time for all unity to take place. Father made that clear.

Four True Children have been blessed. Those four blessed couples are taking turns participating in the nightly prayer vigil at East Garden holy ground. And even those who are single, those who understand Father's dispensation, are vigorously participating in the prayer condition right now.

As you know, when Moses went up unto the mountain, he left behind chosen representatives, Aaron and Miriam, who were to pursue the mission and purpose in Moses' absence. When the leader goes into the mountain to do the work and receive the message from God, the representatives remaining behind lead the mission. Father has appointed his representatives for this time in our movement. These are the elder brothers of our blessed couples, Rev. Won Pil Kim, Col. Bo Hi Pak and Rev. Chung Hwan Kwak. These three must be absolutely united. This was Father's first direction. With this core of three forming one trinity in the center, Dr. Durst and all the leaders in the field are also in the position of Aaron and Miriam.

So, in this modern-day Mosaic era, my urgent instructions to you are that we must become God-centered Aarons and Miriams who will not commit the same mistake made by those two at the time of Moses. We must not repeat their mistakes in the modern era when our True Parents are in the center. You know what happened in the Sinai desert during the absence of Moses, don't you? But you have confidence that you will be better than Aaron and Miriam, that you will fulfill our Father's wishes in our time. From now on, we will go forward and have conferences under that spirit so that, as you said, you will fulfill the mission that Father and True Parents have given to you.

Mother holds the telephone receiver toward the leaders at Belvedere, who all joined In a resounding "Mansei" for Father on the other end of the line.

"This is the first Sunday without Father, and we cannot welcome that Sunday without a truly repentful heart." With these words, our True Mother commenced her first morning service at Belvedere on July 22, 1984. It marked the third day of Father's incarceration, and Mother took his place according to Father's wish. She reminded everyone that Belvedere is truly God's holy place which represents history and the entire world. She also asked everyone to fast that one day.

Mother spoke twice that day; the second time to New York area leaders. The content of her second speech includes in full everything she said in the morning.

One special incident happened during the evening... In the middle of her speech, Mother was interrupted by a telephone call from Father in Danbury prison. Immediately she dashed out to the telephone, everyone else following her. At one point members shouted messages of encouragement, and pledges of victor over the phone, while Mother smilingly held up the telephone receiver for Father to hear.

Afterward her face was literally beaming, and she continued to speak about Father's situation in prison.

I want you to know that as much as yours, my heart is filled with deep emotion. I have no words to say, probably. I wanted to be resigned and to retreat to a quiet place. That was my true wish. However, that cannot be the case. I must follow Father's instruction and fulfill the mission. So this morning I came and spoke to the members, as Father requested.

In the Orient, we have a tradition that, whenever the head of the family undergoes certain suffering, the entire family joins in their suffering. This same thing can be said of a dynastic kingdom. When the king or queen is in jeopardy or experiences certain suffering, the royal subjects and all the people of the nation suffer together with the king and queen. This age-old Oriental tradition is a very beautiful one to behold.

I do feel all of you are very special, compared to the numerous other Unification Church members around the world, because you have had the privilege of directly serving Father in the New York area in the United States. You have more exposure to the love of our 'Due Parents, particularly the generous love from our True Father.

We treat ourselves to the presence of True Father all the time, attending True Father, and True Mother, our True Parents. You know that you have listened to Father's message many times. The message you have received from Father is priceless.

A Movement Of True Repentance

Think of this. Father has issued numerous instructions. But how much do we really take him seriously and fulfill? We have shouted "mansei" many times to Father. But now, the time has come to achieve something. We must build something tangible so that True Parents can see that achievement accomplished.

Before I share a message from Father, I have my own message for you. That is, let us have a movement of true repentance. Repent tearfully. Let us repent in sackcloth. Let us repent and sit on ashes and really renew ourselves so that in this time, not just by word, but by deed, we shall fulfill Father's will. That is my wish and message to you.

I wish that that day, July 20, 1984, would never have existed. I wish that we could eradicate that day totally from the calendar. Until the last minute of his departure from East Garden, Father kept speaking to you and encouraging you. He tried to give you courage and a message of incredible cheer.

Of course, an American prison is different from the kind of prison that Father suffered in previously, such as the one in communist North Korea or in South Korea under a very harsh government dictatorship. It's different from those prisons, yet it is still a prison.

On July 20, I accompanied Father, leaving East Garden at 10:00 p.m. We arrived at the camp, the place of incarceration [Danbury], at 10:59 p.m. I escorted Father all the way until the last minute that Father disappeared inside the door.

Although I wanted to be strong, and determined not to cry, still on the way there, my tears overflowed beyond control.

Until the last minute, before he departed from the car, even getting out of the car, Father had no concern about himself. He was worrying about me, encouraging me, and worrying about you, and the people, and the church. He kept talking about that even until the last second.

Father kept saying, "I came to this place to liberate the prison, liberate hell. So, Mother, you must not cry for me. Cry out for the mission, for the fulfillment of God's will. That's what you should do. Don't worry about me. I came to fulfill a glorious mission, the liberation of hell in prison."

Become Responsible Leaders

In giving you this message today, I have one purpose, and one purpose only: that you now become responsible leaders. You must conduct yourselves, conduct your mission with utmost responsibility, as you never have before.

You are living in the time contemporary with our True Parents -- breathing the same air, walking in the same space, drinking the same water, sharing the same food. Whatever you do, it is a unique opportunity in history, and your deeds shall be recorded in history. What kind of statement can you make to our posterity? What kind of excuses do we have? What kind of testimony do we have for the future generations to come?

You are the leaders, you are the Blessed couples and you must reflect within yourselves, re-examine yourselves. Let us repent totally and renew ourselves. We must march into our missions so that we can achieve and fulfill them.

As you know, God had a good ideal in the beginning. Only because of the disobedience of man, the faithlessness of man, was man separated and departed from God. The fall brought about hell, brought terrible consequences to our world. You know that very well through the Principle. Then during restoration history, God directed the chosen nation of Israel and gave them Judaism. The purpose of Judaism, the chosen nation, was to prepare the day of the coming of the Lord. That nation was the foundation to fulfill God's will and desire. When Judaism rejected Jesus, and left the mission that was given by God unfulfilled, Jesus lost the foundation, so he inevitably had to be crucified on the cross. However, even upon the crucifixion, the resurrection came. Upon the foundation of the resurrection, the new history of Christianity began.

Then what is the will of God to make Christianity prosper? What is the purpose behind Christianity? Isn't it true that its purpose is the restoration of the entire world, to embrace the entire world? After World War II, when V-day was completed and the war ended, actually that moment was a glorious moment that God gave to the Christian nations, and America had the opportunity to embrace and rally around the entire world, so that Christendom could literally be launched.

This is the time when the ideal of the Lord of the Second Advent must be manifested. That ideal actually can be achieved and fulfilled. This is known to all of you as fact, the truth. However, Christianity has thus far failed to respond to that opportunity. Then what about the Lord, the Second Advent, the Messiah who came? Where is his foundation? What kind of path has he walked? Even if I may not speak of it entirely, you know it; you know Father's path.

As you know, the Unification Church was started in the worst prison, a communist prison. Father has been victorious and has come to the nation representing the world, that is, to the United States. Father has worked with tears and sweat in this country for over twelve years.

You Are The Torch Bearers

This morning on the telephone, Father asked me to tell you that you are the torch hearers. You are to go among the Christian community and unite the churches and awaken them from deep spiritual sleep. As you know, Father's prison term is not absolutely necessary for the fulfillment of his mission. There is a way he could do it without going to prison. However, since Father's incarceration has begun, whatever we ignite with our torches, almost like igniting gasoline, will result in an incredible expansion of that fire.

So when you look at the world situation, and examine your own relationship with our True Parents, you know that this is the last opportunity. The freedom of Father is at stake, depending on you and your work. This is our final opportunity that God has given to us. God's mandate asks us to go ahead and prove ourselves.

Your mission is important. Whatever you do in your mission now, do it with your whole heart and soul and mind. And do fulfill it. Do achieve the final outcome of victory. Depending on your determination, God will be moved or Satan can even surrender. It's up to you. Your deeds can either make God move or Satan surrender or vice versa. Father asked that for these next forty days, a special period be declared. During this forty days, extraordinary things can happen; miracles can come. You must make the miracles happen. That was his message.

My heart is very anxious, intensely nervous. I am very restless this morning, even in this meeting. Maybe we have to be out and running, now. But I know this meeting is important. Now every moment of the day makes me restless. So right after this meeting, let us get out and apply ourselves to the utmost. You already are prepared. You have all the knowledge and experiences. All you have to do is go and harvest the victory.

One other matter that Father spoke about concerned Japanese members in the United States. Koreans, Japanese and Americans -- leaders and members -- must be united. Korean leaders especially must take care of the Japanese, who have suffered so greatly.

Father is bearing the incredible universal, cosmic indemnity through his confinement. However, Japan has been single- handedly bearing the burden of financial responsibility for our worldwide movement. As you know, the financial responsibility is a severe one, very difficult and not easy to accomplish; yet the Japanese members and churches are doing it.

Roommates Sincerely Welcomed Father

On July 21, the very next day after Father was incarcerated, the six older children and I drove to visit him in the camp at 8:00 a.m. I didn't know how Father had spent the night, and was worried about how he was. I worried about how he would look, and trembled while I waited after filling out certain forms. Then Father appeared. He met David Hager, who was there filling out more forms. Smiling, David went to him and they shook hands. Then Father spent time mostly with the children and me.

I wondered why Father is so absolutely natural in any circumstances.

This morning, Father told me he has a lot f friends already. His roommates really feel exuberant having Father join them. They sincerely welcomed Father, volunteered certain assistance, and were coming and going and greeting him. He expressed to me this morning that he felt the people truly have no hostility.

Of course Father feels that this occasion, this confinement, has special and deep meaning, more than any one of us can imagine or even understand. Father himself knows there is some much greater meaning in his confinement.

[At this point, Father telephoned. Mother spoke to Father on the phone. Members shouted Mansei, messages of encouragement, and pledges of victory to Father over the phone.]

You wonder how Father fares in the camp, in the prison, what Father wears and certain other things, and I am sure you are anxious to know, right?

What I saw Father wearing was like a military surplus uniform. It was just khaki, top and bottom. Every piece of clothing has been government-issued, including shoes (not leather shoes, but cloth shoes). They are not like sneakers, but are more like a military shoe.

When Father suffered incarceration in Korea, both North and South, he was given a prison number. They print out the number and it looks like merchandise, but in Danbury they do not have that kind of system -- no number, nothing, not even the name posted, so I was deeply comforted.

I saw other inmates coming out and everybody was wearing the same clothes. They have a number on the back side here, just below the belt, not at all conspicuous. Father's shirt is like a jacket, which some people tuck inside the belt.

On weekends breakfast is scheduled at 10:00 a.m., really a brunch schedule, unlike weekdays when it's 6:00-8:00 a.m. I was there to visit at 8:00 a.m., so Father hadn't had a chance to eat breakfast. Father said prison meals are served in a cafeteria system.

I said, "Father, you have had no breakfast. You have to eat something. You must be very hungry." Father said, "No. I ate breakfast already. All the inmates came and brought me cookies and candies and said, 'Reverend Moon, please have this. It's not so special, but I want you to take some of it.'" So the very first morning, everybody came to greet Father and give him cookies, tea bags, etc.

The visitors' area is a kind of simple lounge. There is, of course, no restaurant or coffee shop, but there are a couple of vending machines with Coca-Cola and some sandwiches and little snacks. I bought some sandwiches and snacks and Coca- Cola and served Father. He stayed there many hours with the children and me.

Mr. Peter Kim, who is now assigned to be Father's assistant in Danbury, was there organizing some paperwork. He was not allowed to go into where Father was, but he did have a chance to meet other inmates. One inmate came to him and said, "You know, I introduced myself to Reverend Moon. I shook hands with Reverend Moon." Then he said to Mr. Kim, "Don't worry, I will serve Reverend Moon very faithfully. As long as I am here, I am his servant. I will serve him. I will invite him to go out and exercise and I will do anything. Particularly I can see that Reverend Moon is a little overweight so I am going to take off his belly. Also I will help him with English words."

While I was there during visiting hours, there were a lot of other visitors who came to meet other people there. Most of the people coming out were white people, some of whom were prominent people, and some black people. But there are predominantly white people there in that camp. The impression that people gave me is a very good one. They are not hostile. Also they appear to be genuinely good people, very gentle and conducting themselves very fairly all the time.

Pray For Father's Safety

Apparently there is some system organized that will get information from inside on the inmates' situation. In other words, they are monitoring very closely what is really going on inside the cells and dorms. There seems to be certain systems of informers so that any unusual kinds of activities can be noted.

The prison officials received sort of a first-night impression report from their own system. People are genuinely impressed with Father, and they welcome him. They are all trying to be cooperative with Father. There was no tension of any kind.

There were about forty or fifty people in the same dorm. However, we could not say that every one of them is a saint. There must be some bad ones, I'm sure. We therefore have to pray for the safety of our ram Father. This is one of our important missions.

That particular camp was newly built a couple of years ago, originally for women prisoners. The dorms were prepared for women, so it was a surprise to Father that when he went into the bathroom, there were only women's facilities there, no men's facilities.

All prisoners who are there participate in certain chores or labor. There are many kinds of labor with morning and afternoon hours. They give eight hours of labor. Sometimes they go to the factory to sew garments. Sometimes they work in the fire department. Sometimes they do maintenance or garden work, kitchen or dining room work. Father wants to be available to meet with visitors any time they come, so Father just mentioned to me over the phone that he will work in the dining room.

Act Within Reason

The day before Father entered the prison, officials received information that some people -- members, religious people, and very excited and passionate people who are mad at the government -- were going to cause a disturbance. Some Barrytown members wanted to demonstrate by lying down on the road to block the car so that Father's car could not move into the prison. I ask all members not to do things like this, although I understand your feeling.

Your feeling is also important, but you are here to serve and help Father. Anything that doesn't help Father is no good. So in order to minimize Father's suffering, it is not good to act violently or to show such displays of emotion. You must act within reason.

We have Mr. Kim there at Danbury headquarters, who will schedule a list of meetings with Father. You have to go through the channels. Do not do anything unwise -- not only you, but tell other members the same. Members should not take the law into their own hands and try to do something over there. That is absolutely undesirable.

Finally, I would like to give you this. I gave my impression of the first day's visit to give you a little bit of comfort. But we must realize two most important things. One, Father is without security, so he is exposed. Please pray for him. Two, prison is not the place that Father should stay. Father is our True Parent, the leader of the world, the Messiah, the King of Kings. We must do everything we can to shorten his time there to a bare minimum. I want you to realize this.

This is the only time in history that we can do something about this. When we do something about this, results will come. That result will be a victorious one, the liberation of our True Father from prison. That is our goal and now you must move forward for its achievement.

Thank you, everyone.

In God and True Parents We Never Die -- Mother shares her heart

Hak Ja Han
February 1984

HakJaHan-840200-1.jpg

At the beginning of the leaders' conference, Father asked Mother to share her feelings and experiences about Heung Jin Nim.

Father:

Some people might wonder why this kind of awful tragedy hit the True Parents. You do not understand that you should not think in that kind of fashion. Mother and I went to Korea and accomplished an incredible, extraordinary event and victory.

Of course, I will give you a full explanation about that. I would like you to listen to Mother a little while, because Mother has had some spiritual experiences. All the spiritual persons in Korea and all over the world connect to Mother, so Mother is receiving many, many incredible spiritual messages.

Mother:

This morning I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart that, after hearing the tragic report, you have been dedicating yourselves in prayer and with special conditions and offerings. I am deeply grateful. I know Father will give you the full implications from the standpoint of Divine Principle, so I won't duplicate that area. I would like to give you a brief testimony -- the feelings that I have, plus some spiritual testimonies that I have received. At the present time I feel rather peaceful, tranquil.

Right after the science conference in Chicago, Father asked me, "I have a plan to go back to Korea now to do some important things. What would you think?" Father was seeking my advice. So I responded to Father saying, "I know that you have important work to do, but can you stay here through the end of 1983? Would you consider doing it in 1984?" I said that because I had some special feeling. Furthermore, I had a desire to spend the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year with all the family together.

Then Father explained that there is some unexplainable, yet very great, extraordinary providential meaning behind returning to Korea before the year 1983 is over. When Father said that, I had absolutely no further opinion. I said, "Your will be done. Do your will."

Father and I went back to Korea to prepare the national rallies for Victory Over Communism in the major cities of Korea. Father was advised by many mediums and spiritualists that this would be a very special time. Father must be careful. Father's security and surroundings must in particular be absolutely careful, as the mediums felt something extraordinary going on.

Again, to make a long story short, Father's life was at stake. Father's life was in danger. They openly warned me.

The rallies went smoothly and successfully without any major difficulties. When the final rally was conducted and Father and I drove back to Seoul, as soon as we stepped into the house I got a call from Mr. Kim in East Garden.

During the entire period of the campaign I felt so welcomed by the people of Korea. Father was absolutely welcomed as a hero. All this gave me ecstatic joy -- unquestionably -- but somewhere in the bottom of my heart there was a big shadow of responsibility and personal feeling that could not be overcome or eliminated.

When Father and I arrived in Seoul around 5:00 after driving all day from Kwongju, around four hours of driving, I was given a message that an important call from Mr. Kim in East Garden had come two hours ago. I asked, "What kind of message was it?" The person answering me said, "Well, Mr. Kim didn't give me any detail, but he said it is something very urgent. He must talk to you." The next day was Un Jin Nim's birthday celebration. I wanted to do something for Un Jin Nim and so I had to go to the shopping center. When I returned from the shopping center, Mr. Kim called hack and reported Heung Jin Nim's accident to us. He said, "Heung Jin Nim is now undergoing surgery in the hospital."

Last Conversation with Heung Jin Nim

A few days prior to the accident, I had a conversation with East Garden. At that time Heung Jin Nim and In Jin Nim, who were both there, spoke with me. I asked Heung Jin Nim, "What is your plan? What are you trying to do?" Heung Jin Nim said, "Mother, what do you want me to do? Anything you want me to do I will do." So I replied, "Well, you have been planning to repair some old car as a hobby. I think that it is a good time for you to do it and stay home. Why don't you do that?" Heung Jin Nim said, "Fine, Mother, 1 will do that. In the meantime, I will go to Barrytown. Someone is trying to give me a motorcycle. So 1 will take the motorcycle home and then I will definitely begin repairing the car. I will do just like you have told me, Mother."

Reflecting right now, that was my final conversation with Heung Jin Nim. So when his winter vacation had begun, the 22nd of December, Heung Jin Nim wanted to do what I asked him to do. That day he went to Barrytown with two friends to check on the motorcycle. On the way back, on Route 9, the tragic accident occurred. This precisely coincided with the hour, Korean time 11:10 a.m., that Father stood on the platform giving the final speech. The accident occurred at the same hour as the final rally in Kwongju, the very same moment.

You may have heard the report that the Kwongju rally was one of the most serious and rather dangerous rallies. Everybody expected something would happen during Father's rally in Kwongju.

Special Revelations from Spirit World

Right now I would like to report to you about those who in prayer receive special revelations from spirit world. You may not know this, but in Korea are some members within the Unification Church who have the ability to communicate with spirit world. There are others outside of the Unification Church who also have special revelations about Father. They know who Father is and pray for him. They are constantly receiving messages for Father and about his well-being.

Those outside mediums, or shall we say communicators, unanimously testify that in the Unification Church, at this time, it is most important to safeguard Father's life. For a member, there is nothing more important than to protect Father. Father's physical safety must be secure. You do all kinds of things, but they are nothing compared to our Father being alive, strong, and physically present. This alone will bring the great victory.

In short, what they are saying is this: of course, Unification Church members have a mission -- church mission, witnessing mission, and all kinds of missions -- but the most important mission of the Unification Church is to protect Father's life, so that Father's physical presence on earth will continue for a long, long time, because that will guarantee the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. There is nothing more important. That is the most supreme mission of the members of the Unification Church.

This is the message the outside communicators sent. They all said that in December 1983 a very dangerous time would come for Father. Everybody reported to me that Father must absolutely be careful, because December 1983 would be extraordinarily dangerous.

Thus, spiritual revelations unanimously confirmed that Heung Jin Nim became a sacrifice on behalf of Father. In order to save Father's life, Heung Jin Nim went on his behalf. Even the number of terrorists who were aiming at Father was 36. Spiritualists are saying that 36 satanic spiritual agents took the life of Heung Jin Nim. So when I reflect, I feel this is an absolute, final, incredible, extraordinary attack of all satanic forces. This is like the final showdown of satanic forces mustering their entire energy to get Father's life. They could not do it, so they claimed the most precious second son. So the circumstances of Heung Jin Nim's accident and surrounding events absolutely confirmed my feeling and conviction that his death was not just an ordinary death. He died for the most precious life on earth, that is, Father.

"I am Going on Behalf of Father"

When Heung Jin Nim was hit by the truck and in a coma, his spiritual body appeared to a medium in Korea. He said to that person, "I am now going in place of Father. Glory to Father. I am absolutely ecstatic to do this, because otherwise Father's life will be threatened. I am honored to fill and replace Father's life." That communicator spoke to Heung Jin Nim and said, "No, no, no. You can't go now. No, you can't do that. You have lots to do here on earth. You are going to do incredible things here on earth, then you will go later on, but not now." Then Heung Jin Nim said, "No, somebody must go on Father's behalf and that's me. I am going on behalf of Father. The only regret I have is that I have not served Father and Mother long enough and, particularly that I have not been blessed. That's the only thing."

By "blessing" he means that he could not have heavenly matrimony. No marriage has been given; in other words, Heung Jin Nim is a single person. "But that's the only regret I have, otherwise I am absolutely glorifying Father and Heavenly Father. I take this mission." This particular communicator testified all this. All other communicators, inside and outside the Church, were saying that Heung Jin Nim was not born for that kind of destiny. He was not born for that tragic end. He will be back. He will come back. Everybody else said it because, when we look at Heung Jin Nim's future, he was born for a most glorious, prestigious life.

I have many things to report to you, but I don't want to run into the next session here. However, I would like to give you one more testimony that occurred this morning before Father and I came here.

This morning I received a call from Korea from a person who, in prayer last night, heard a special voice from God asking her to call me, saying that Father and I are very calm and peaceful but our hearts have been broken, particularly mine. "Mother's heart has been shattered, so the following words will give her some comfort. So you go ahead, call Mother and speak to her." The voice of God explained the nature and characteristics of Heung Jin Nim.

"Heung Jin Nim is basically born to be a very masculine, manly, dignified man. He is truly a man of men. However, he also has a very soft heart -- a beautiful, soft considerate heart -- so that he is always trying to listen sensitively to Father's and Mother's wishes and trying to carry them out to the fullest extent." Then God's voice related each instance of obedience to this person, so that she can report back to Mother.

Finally the voice of God said, "Heung Jin Nim's death is the fullest role -- to be sacrificed on behalf of True Parents' family. He brought unification. Heung Jin Nim, as younger brother, did have love towards his elders." He's not an elder brother, you know, he has an elder brother and elder sisters. In other words, Heung Jin Nim fulfilled Abel's responsibility to love Cain. Heung Jin Nim is 17 in American age, 18 in Korean, but actually his size is absolutely adult. He's wearing suits that are 42 in size. You know that is really an adult size.

So God's voice confirmed the reason that Heung Jin Nim had grown up very quickly to be an adult.

Providentially speaking, Jesus Christ, 2,000 years ago, could not fulfill the True Parent ideal. Now in this new day we have the 'Rue Parent ideal fulfilled. So under True Parents' ideal, Heung Jin Nim was in the position of Jesus fulfilling that ideal. That is the significance.

Today Heung Jin Nim will leave for his homeland, Korea. The ceremony will have a special name -- the Ceremony of Divine Ascension and Harmony. In the secular world people have funeral ceremonies; but we will call it the Ascension and Harmony Ceremony. This will be conducted on January 8th. Three days after that, January 10th, and during the following 40-day period, God will reveal some extraordinary resurrection process for the sake of the world. Some extraordinary power of God will be manifested.

Medically speaking, the kind of impact Heung Jin Nim received in the accident almost always kills the person instantly. But Heung Jin Nim again demonstrated his filial piety by prolonging his life ten more days, in which time Father and I had a chance to complete our entire mission in Korea. Nothing was cut short. We returned, but also Father and I completed the God's Day celebration, which is important.

On December 31st, I, of course, had hope that the final miracle might come, that God would preserve this son's life. But then my inmost heart thought, "At least tomorrow is God's Day. I hope he will live through God's Day." That particular wish is totally for whom? Heung Jin Nim stayed on, fighting hard, passing God's Day. When God's Day came, another special message reached me.

One communicator again heard the voice of God saying that, knowing my broken heart and the prayers of all the members of the Unification Church, God wanted to save Heung Jin Nim's life. However, if the choice was to give up Heung Jin Nim or to claim the life of Father, what choice would you take? That's why the voice of God was saying, "What would you do?" Your conclusion, my conclusion, are the same. The satanic requirement of taking Heung Jin Nim's life must be satisfied, so that there will not be a threat or danger to Father. That was the final message on God's Day.

"You are my Beloved Son!"

I knew at that time that we have come to a truly enormous sacrifice. At that point I was truly thankful for Heung Jin Nim. I said, "My son, you are the greatest, humble product of our love and I thank you, Heung Jin Nim. Go indeed."

When Heung Jin Nim was born as the second son, he went through incredible trauma for three days. Many people thought Heung Jin Nim could not make it at birth. He was going through the cross at his birth. But at his death I knew he was chosen to do a more sacred mission than anyone under the sun could think of -- dying for the sake of Father.

So I was so deeply, deeply grateful. I said to my son, "Heung Jin Nim, you are my beloved son. You lived out your life in filial piety, patriotism, and total purity."

So now it is a reality. Heung Jin Nim is in spirit world. He went up to spirit world as a most sacred sacrifice for us all. First of all, Heung Jin Nim's life expelled the danger coming to Father. Secondly, Heung Jin Nim's going up to spirit world brings the two worlds together -- spirit world and the physical world -- centered upon the True Parents' family, because I know that Heung Jin Nim will do his absolute best to fulfill Heavenly Father's and True Parents' wishes in spirit world, by mobilizing the entire forces. That will definitely bring down spirit world focused on True Parents.

Furthermore, it will bring incredible unity and harmony among the brothers and sisters of True Parents' family. It will bring incredible realization and inspiring impact to all the brothers, especially Hyo Jin Nim. It will bring everybody to do their job extraordinarily well and to commit themselves to the achievement of Father and True Parents' wishes and goals.

In conclusion, my final testimony to you is this: In Divine Principle, in True Parents, in God, we never die. Heung Jin Nim never did. He's more active than ever, in free form. He shall mobilize absolutely incredible power for the same goals in which you are living -- to serve True Parents and bring the victory to our The Parents here on earth.

So in this respect, I ask each one of you to recommit yourselves upon this occasion to be great sons and daughters of Heavenly Father and True Parents so that we shall accomplish the job Heung Jin Nim left undone here on earth very quickly.

Thank you very much.
