Commemoration Meeting for 55th Anniversary of Japanese Mission and 54th Anniversary of the Inauguration of HSA-UWC-Japan

On Septembers 12, at 2 p.m. by the Heavenly calendar(October 16 by the Gregorian calendar) around 20,000 Japanese people including Japanese congressmen, peace ambassadors and church members gathered in Saitama’s Super Arena for the rally honoring the 55th Anniversary of the arrival of Unificationist Missionaries to Japan, and the 54th anniversary of the inauguration of HSA-UWC-Japan.

Before True Mother’s speech, a video introduced True Parent’s humanitarian works and the vision for the unification of the religions of the world in Japan.

True Mother was welcomed to the podium by Mr. Eigi Tokuno, president of the FFWPU-Japan to give a speech to about 20,000 Unificationist braved typhoon to attend.

In her address True Mother said: “Geopolitically Japan and Korea should become one. If Japan covers up its history, it can’t see the truth and will not have any friends. Japan should be reborn for the sake of world peace. ”

True Mother explained that great nations and even empires rise or fall according to the measure of their responsiveness to the will of Heaven. She gave as examples the one-time global influence of Rome and Great Britain and the current power of the United States.

True Mother went on to say, “For the nations that receive God’s blessing, it comes with a responsibility. If they don’t fulfill their responsibility, we know from the study of history what kind of result it will bring. She also said, “Japan received the blessing of becoming the Mother nation and shouldn’t hold such a blessing only for herself without sharing. Japan must share it with the world completing her mission of embracing all the countries as the Mother nation. Japan must guide people of the world to True Parents.” True Mother emphasized Japan’s responsibility and role as one of the most developed countries in the world.

She then suggested goals that Japan’s church should pursue until the year 2020, the 100th anniversary of Father’s birth. She also emphasized the importance of inheriting True Parents’ tradition and will. FFWPUJapan leaders have said that they plan to put all of their efforts into pursuing Vision 2020.

True Mother plans to tour Sapporo on 14th, Saitama City on 16th, Nagoya on 18th, Nagano-shin’etsu on 20th, and Kobe on 22nd.

True Mother Speaks at Second Stop in Japan

Despite one of the largest typhoons hitting Japan, more than 20,000 people attended True Mother’s speech at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on October 16, 2013.

A fierce typhoon didn’t stop 20,000 Japanese people from hearing True Mother’s talk in Saitama, a large city within the capital area of Tokyo on October 16, 2013. They gathered in Saitama’s Super Arena for the rally honoring the 55th Anniversary of the arrival of Unificationist Missionaries to Japan, and the 54th anniversary of the inauguration of HSAUWC- Japan. The crowd included Japanese congressmen, peace ambassadors and church members.

Before True Mother’s speech, a video introduced True Parents’ humanitarian works and the vision for the unification of the religions of the world in Japan.

True Mother emphasized the role of Japan as the Mother Nation to bring people closer to True Parents.

True Mother was welcomed to the podium by Mr. Eiji Tokuno, president of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) - Japan.

A Special Banquet for the Japanese Second-Generation Leaders

‘Japanese Second Generation Assembly’ was held at the banquet hall of the New Otani Hotel’s basement in Tokyo on Tuesday Sep. 11, at 6 p.m. by the Heavenly Calendar(Oct. 15 by the Gregorian calendar), attending True Mother and True Children, Sun Jin Nim and Yeon Jin Nim, and members of True Family, In Sup Park and Yeon Ah Choi.

Approximately 90 second-generation leaders from the Japanese church and CARP were treated. They were talented people who inherited tradition shown by True Parents and the first-generation church seniors and continued to grow every day. Especially 11 out of 12 Blessed couples who had formed the early church in Japan attended.

“A shortcut to becoming rich is to do witnessing.” She emphasized the value and significance of witnessing by saying, “Being rich on earth is temporal, but the path to become eternally rich in the eternal sprit world is to do witnessing.”

She also said, “Today, by listening to the testimonies of the Japanese second-generation who hold public missions, I feel that the future of the Unification movement is bright, and we have hope.” She then explained the meaning and importance of “creation of environment,” which was the first thing she taught church members after True Father’s Seonghwa.

Another theme of her speech was about the background and the purpose of holding the “Top Gun Workshop” in Korea for second-generation leaders, parallel to the workshop given for the missionaries sent out to the world in the 1970’s.

She said the main point of the workshop was “Before you can hope to control the cosmos, you must learn to control yourself.”

Her purpose of visit on Japan this time, she explained, was to establish Japan as a nation that would accomplish its responsibility for the sake of the world and be loved and respected by the world. She encouraged them b saying the future of Japan would be very bright when Japan could establish indemnity conditions in a right way so that it can be united with Heavenly Parents and True Parents. She also said it is the Second generation, Third generation and the Blessed families of the Unification Church that hold such an important role.

She concluded her message with: “Japanese people and their leaders must realize it is a great honor and source of pride for them to have the Japanese Blessed families, second and third gens.” She emphasized that the members must make all efforts so that Japan can become a nation for the world and enjoy love and respect from the world, not only through the external success of the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020 but also with the internal victory of Vision 2020.

After True Mother’s speech, the assembly was ended with three cheers of Eog Mansei by Mr. Machuda Chouchi, Japanese present of YFWP.

Young Japanese Leaders in Tokyo Meet with True Mother

Approximately 90 second-generation Unificationists from the Japanese church and CARP (Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles) were treated to True Mother’s guidance in Tokyo on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. Present were several of True Mother’s family members, including her daughter, Sun Jin Moon, son-in-law In Sup Park, her daughter, Yeon Jin Moon, and her daughter-in-law, Yeon Ah Choi. In addition, 11 out of 12 Blessed couples who had formed the church in Japan in 1958 attended the assembly. True Mother spoke longer that day than at any other occasion.

In her speech, True Mother said, "A shortcut to becoming rich is to do witnessing." She emphasized the value and significance of witnessing by saying, "Being rich on earth is temporal, but the path to become eternally rich in the eternal spirit world is to do witnessing."

She also said, "Today, by listening to the testimonies of the Japanese second-generation who hold public missions, I feel that the future of the Unification movement is bright, and we have hope." True Mother addresses the crowd in Sapporo

The following is a translated article posted on October 15, 2013 on Tongilgyo.org about True Mother’s speaking tour in Japan. The first event was held on October 14, 2013 in Sapporo, the chief city on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido.

The rally honoring the 55th Anniversary of the arrival of Unificationist Missionaries to Japan was held on October 14, 2013 at the Gato Kingdom Sapporo Hotel on Hokkaido. About 3,200 people gathered at this event, which included church members, former- and current congressmen, local leaders, leaders of civic groups and social organizations, religious leaders, peace ambassadors and VIPs.

This event was held to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the founding of Japan’s [Unificationist] mission. It was especially meaningful because True Mother visited and launched a speech tour in Japan, her first since True Father passed away last September [2012]. Japan is the first foreign missionary country [for the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification]. Missionaries were sent out on July 15, 1958 and one year later, in 1959 Japan’s church headquarters was inaugurated.

Before the opening ceremony, the Sapporo church’s middle- and high-school student choir, the ‘Peace Angels,’ performed, Asahikawa high-school and college students’ danced, and the choir called ‘North Hill Choir,’ selected from 14 churches in Hokkaido, performed.

The head of the North Hokkaido parish, Mr. and Mrs. Yasda, presented flowers to True Mother as she entered the hall to a warm applause.

Mr. Eiji Tokuno announced the opening of the event, declaring, “This event is to inherit True Father’s will with which he devoted his life to world peace. This will be the opportunity for us to start fresh with one heart centered on True Mother.”

After singing of the Cheon Il Guk anthem, Mrs. Honda Eriko gave a report prayer, and VIP introductions followed. The VIP’s included Mrs. Yeon Ah Choi, vice president of the Women’s Federation for World Peace; Dr. Chang Shik Yang, international president of Universal Peace Federation; Mr. Yong Cheon Song, president of the National Blessed Family Association and Mrs. Hea Ok Lee; as well as many VIPs from the Tohoku region.

After the VIP introduction, the video titled ‘True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and Japan’s Unification Movement’ was shown. A VIP gave the congratulatory message, and Mrs. Suzuki Geiko sang accompanied by her family members.

In the greeting message, Mr. Yong Cheon Song, representing the Japanese Church, expressed his appreciation to True Mother for greatly leading the Unification movement after True Father’s Seonghwa. “I wish you to start anew for the victorious Vision 2020 on Hokkaido, which is the head of the Japanese Archipelago.”

Afterwards, a video featuring one of True Mother’s recent speeches was shown to the audience, moving some to tears.

During True Mother’s keynote address she said, ““On this 55th anniversary, we must again recognize and appreciate the fact that the mission to Japan is fully mature. Japan stands as a Mother to the other, younger missions around the world. Now, Japan has the responsibility to achieve the national providential mission. You are living in the Cheon Il Guk era that True Parents inaugurated. It was your ancestors’ dream and hope. Japanese Unificationists and blessed families should create the [ideal] eternal environment for the world.”

She also emphasized the importance of witnessing and sharing God’s blessing, “We should not holding the huge blessing that God gave us just for our own families, but we need to give it to people and to the nation.” She asked the participants to become God’s true children who bring forth new spiritual lives, “What makes you happier than helping others to be reborn through you?”

The participants showed their appreciation to True Mother by offering a painting of a crane, presented to her by the peace ambassador committee. The Hokkaido rally successfully finished with three cheers of Eok Man Sei by Mr. Yabuki Gyoichi.

True Mother plans to tour Saitama City on Oct. 16th, Nagoya on Oct. 18th, Nagano-Shin’etsu on Oct. 20th, and Kobe on Oct. 22nd.

55th Anniversary of Japanese Mission Speaking Tour in Hokkaido

The rally honoring the 55th Anniversary of the arrival of Unificationist Missionaries to Japan was held at the Gato Kingdom Sappro Hotel on Hokkaido, on September 9, at 1 p.m. by the Heavenly calendar,(10.14 by Gregorian calendar). Approximately 3200 guests including church members, peace ambassadors and VIPs gathered for this event.

The purpose of this event was to welcome the first True Mother’s visit after True father’s Seong Hwa last year on September and to commemorate 55th anniversary of Japanese mission.

The performances before the opening uplifted the atmosphere in the hall. Performing were the ‘Peace Angels’ choir, composed of middle and high school students from Sapporo church, martial arts by Asahigawa high school and university students and finally North Hill Choir with members selected from 14 churches in Hokkaido.

True Mother appeared on the stage with enthusiastic welcome. On behalf of the attendees, Rev. Yasda and his wife presented flowers to True Mother.

President Dokuno announced the opening and strongly appealed to participants, saying, “This speaking tour will give us a chance to inherit the will of Rev. Sun Myung Moon who dedicated his life for world peace and to become one for a new beginning, centering on True Mother.”

Then Cheon Il Guk anthem were sung. The distinguished VIPs from home and abroad were introduced ; Mrs. Yeon Ah Choi, international vice president of Women’s Federation, Dr. Chang Shik Yang, International chairman of the Universal Peace Federation, Mr. Yong Cheon Song, president of National Blessed Family Federation and Mrs. Hae Ok Lee, and leading figures from Dohoku, Hokkaido.

After a video about True Parents’ activity in Japan is shown, the congratulatory address and telegram followed. Mr. Geiko Suzukki delivered the message while his family played musical instruments for background music.

On behalf of all Japanese Unificationists, the president Yong Cheon Song gave the welcoming address in which he showed his gratitude for True Mother leading world-wide unification movement with great leadership after True Father’s Seong Hwa.

Additionally, he encouraged church members by saying, “I wish you to start anew for the victorious VISION 2020 with luck of Hokkaido which is head of the Japanese Archipelago.
