The teachings in the Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong are our backbone

The Japanese translation and a representation of the English translation of Cheon Seong Gyeong were presented to True Mother. This is her message on that occasion, given mainly to Japanese members.

Please be seated. You have worked hard until now. I will also sit and speak more comfortably. As you saw in the video, these teachings are our root. If we were to compare ourselves to the structure of our physical bodies, these teachings are our backbones. If something goes wrong with the backbone, all organs become twisted, and then you become sick. In other words, it is very important. Do you understand? We can live with Father because these teachings appeared. After Father's ascension, I first spoke about returning to the faith we had in our church's early days, which were filled with the Holy Spirit and the truth.

When the Holy Spirit and the truth become one, the word begins to live and breathe. Do you understand? Hence, these teachings are the word of life for you. Should you be thirsty when you have the word of life? No. These teachings must live and breathe within you for your health and future generations.

However, they should not be limited to you alone. I said that we must create the environment. If the dominion of goodness grows, the shadow of darkness will naturally disintegrate and disappear. Whether we accomplish this within our generation will depend on how we expand this dominion. No one knows for sure how many more years he or she has before passing into the spiritual world. I am also in my seventies. How many more years do you think I will live? Not many people can confidently say they will live in good health for a hundred years. It may be possible for those who invest special effort, but as one approaches a hundred years of age, naturally all organs lose firmness. Do you understand? They slacken. Many fail to keep this in mind. Thus, it is necessary for you to become determined now and act upon that. You are the one that has to make the environment in the areas you have been given responsibility over. That is why it is crucial.

True Mother, other True Family members and holy book recipients

You fully understand this. Don't you? When Father con- ducted the global providence, he loved Japan more than any other country. Can you all personally feel that? [Yes] True Father came as a man; however, just as Rev. Young Hwi Kim explained earlier, the providence cannot work with man alone. Regarding the global providence, man-centered countries alone cannot conduct them. Do you understand what I am trying to say? This also applies to the cultural history of humanity. Where did the cultural history of humanity start? Did it start from the Italian Peninsula? Where did the providence move from the peninsula? From a peninsula, where did it move to? It went to an island. It must now come back to a pen- insula. Isn't that right?

When the time comes to bring a culmination within human history... Through whom did Japan receive blessings? Japan, from the perspective of the providence and cultural history, must accomplish its Eve mission. Don't mothers in today's world do that? A father goes out to earn money while the mother uses the money earned to manage the household. Right? The mother raises the family, educates the children.

Senior Japanese members receive precious boxes containing Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong in Japanese, which Mother then blessed;

Right? A woman's scale of activities is larger than that of a man. Isn't it? A mother also reestablishes a family; for example, it is a daughter-in-law's mission to make the family rich. According to a Korean saying, a poor family can become wealthy if a good daughter-in-law enters the family. That is because the environment created by the daughter-in-law in that family is big.

Big in size also requires consumption of the same amount. Consumption, effort, dedication, sacrifice, living for others... When it comes to practicing the most important parts of Father's teachings, we always avoid responsibility. Many people think this way. However, that is an erroneous thought. Some people have heard my testimony. When I first met Father, I understood the providential history and the providence of restoration through indemnity. I had not studied the Divine Principle, but I just understood it....

Father absolutely needed my support in order to be victorious and in order to complete and conclude his mission as the returning Lord. However, i never placed responsibility on other people; I always paid all indemnity myself, completed all of my responsibilities. I will work on developing God's ideal, bringing victory, and defeating Satan as long as I live. Everyone! You have just heard this! Isn't Mother great? You could all become blessed families because I devoted and sacrificed my body and mind. [Aju]

All of you here today, especially Japanese members, must look up to Mother. You must love Mother more than you love anyone else. If you do so, you will receive double blessings. If you do so, you will meet Father. Do you understand? [Yes ] I hope that you do your best to restore Japan as a nation centering on these teachings, on the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures.' You invested a lot of hard work to make this scripture box, especially, Mr. Seok Byeong Kim who was in charge of the execution of the scripture box.

I had to meet the people directly that were building the box in the factory. I coached them on every single detail. As you all know, summer this year has been sweltering. The humidity made it even more difficult. The lacquer is natural, not made with chemicals. Applying it once would be insufficient. It was applied and then dried, applied and then dried, applied and then dried. This had to be repeated seven or eight times for this color to emerge. Those in charge have worked hard. Making this box in such a short time would have been impossible had those in charge not had sincere respect for the True Parents and had they not had this ideology....

This scripture box is also like a precious stone. Since the scripture box must contain True Father's gem-like teachings, they were made with a great deal of dedication and are every bit as good as a precious stone. You are the first people to receive these scripture boxes. Don't you feel grateful? I understand that this event must come to a close and then after taking post-event photographs, many of you have to go to the airport. Right? That means I should not hold you here for much longer. Let me just sing you a song.

I am carrying the tremendous responsibility to restore God's homeland by 2020. Will you help me? I will then sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Please stand up. Let us sing together.

Father's life and heart were projected through the choirs and the musical performance Crown of Glory on his Seonghwa anniversary. The performances evoked vivid memories. True Mother and some of her children and grandchildren joined performers onstage to express their love, heart, and determination through the final songs, the Battle Hymn of the Republic and Omaya Nunaya.

Respected guests from Korea and abroad, speakers who gave memorial remarks the moved and united our hearts, and Unification Church members from around the world, today we have become one.

It feels as if Father might stride forward with a bright smile and ask, "How have you been?"

Beloved peace ambassadors, at this moment, we have united in heart and desire the same goals. While honoring the achievements of True Father, who gave us great teachings, I am determined that you and I realize Heaven's will at all costs. Korea and Japan have become one during this Seonghwa commemoration period. Starting on August 3, the Cycling for Peace journey began in Hokkaido, worked its way down the Japanese archipelago with great fervor and continued in Korea from Busan to Imjingak. Korea and Japan became one. The twenty-two day Cycling for Peace journey was an actual expression of your hope for the unification of North Korea and South Korea, which you have so long awaited.

However, we will not end this condition merely at Imjingak but continue past Baekdu Peak, across Asia and move forward on and on until a free, peaceful, unified and joyful kingdom of heaven on earth, which Heaven has hoped for, is achieved in the world.

Distinguished guests and beloved blessed families, True Father is living within our hearts on this great day. May we all become one with our Heavenly Parent and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and become children that realize their wishes while we are still on earth. I sincerely hope that you can all make the determination to become devoted children and patriots during this time.

Our most beloved Heavenly Parent, we invoke your majestic name and recognize you for who you are: the absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal one in whom we live, move and have our being.

We thank you that in the fullness of time you sent to the earth the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind in the persons of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon and his beloved wife Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon to restore all things and to proclaim the kingdom of God on earth. You anointed, appointed and approved True Parents for this providential moment in salvation history and endowed them with power and authority to complete all things.

We have gathered in this holy place to celebrate and commemorate the first anniversary of the victorious and glorious Seonghwa (ascension) of True Father. We celebrate his life, teachings and legacy, which have impacted the course of human history forever and left an indelible mark upon the lives of those who came to know and love him, and through the fruit of his works and the perfection of the Christ within him, to embrace him as Savior, Messiah and returning Lord. We commemorate his physical death while readily admitting that we still suffer from the pangs of no longer being able to see him face to face or feel the warmth of his magnetic touch.

Although each one of us has been diminished by his transition, our faith reassures us that even though his body has returned to the earth from whence it came, his spirit has returned unto you, 0 Heavenly Parent, who gave it.' You, 0 God, and True Father are now one and wherever you are, so is he. What more could we ask of you, 0 giver of eternal life?

We thank you, 0 Heavenly Parent, that in True Father's physical passing, you did not leave us widowed or orphaned but prepared, anointed and divinely appointed True Mother to lead and follow his life's course of living for the sake of others, loving one's enemies and working tirelessly to establish a world of true and lasting peace, as a prelude for bringing about the manifestation of the kingdom of God on earth. True Father proclaimed before his transition while holding True Mother's hands in prayer, "According to his will, I am spending this time to bring my life to a conclusion using this time to bring it to a close with sincerest heart and devotion... I have accomplished everything... [that Heaven required]" True Father shared with us that when God called him home to heaven, True Mother would lead us to fully realize Cheon Il Guk. That time has come and the hour is at hand!

Four former presidents of the Korean church, Rev. Jae Seok Lee, Rev. Joon Ho Seuk, Rev. Young Hwi Kim and Rev. Sun Jo Hwang, present the Cheon Il Guk Constitution to True Mother.

Your original hopes were that Adam and Eve would establish your family in oneness with you. Sadly, your heart was broken by their disobedience and the false lineage that followed, creating a world of sin. Jesus came and fulfilled his role as Adam and brought salvation to the individual but because the family was not established, he promised to return. More painful than the fall of Adam and Eve was the fact that when Jesus was not received by his family and nation, lie could not realize the family and lineage of heaven. When he left the earth, there was no dwelling for your heart and, therefore, your heart was broken. Then, you sent True Father who received your anointing and walked this path in oneness with you. True Mother was chosen by you and she faithfully followed the path in perfect obedience and heart to you, our Heavenly Parent and in oneness with True Father.

True Parents were established and with the advent of the True Children, you could stand for the first time with the heart of a grandfather with grandchildren.

Chairman No Hi Pak of the Tongil Foundation and President Peter Kim of the Mission Foundation present a listing of global church assets, in 81 countries.

Only you know the tearful, most sorrowful and bloodstained course of True Parents. Through it all, they established your blessing and brought about the restoration of true love, true life and true lineage. This is your day of blessing, God, where you are now substantial both in heaven and on earth through the True Parents. Together with and through the True Family and all those blessed by the True Parents, today your safe settlement among all humanity is sealed forever and your liberation is complete.

May God bless this day and this glorious moment in the course of human history. We report and offer this prayer in our names and in the names of George and Sayomi Stallings, a blessed central family. Amen and Aju!

It is my distinct honor and privilege to have the opportunity to share with you a few words this morning in honor of the life, the teachings and the legacy of Dr. Sun Myung Moon who passed away to the spiritual world one year ago today.

I am always moved and uplifted when I come to Chung Pyung. My wife, Congresswoman Gina de Venecia, and I have had the very good fortune to have visited Father and Mother Moon on many occasions in this holy place, this holy land. In particular, Gina and I will never forget the kindness and compassion shown to us by Father and Mother Moon following the tragic accident that led to the untimely passing of our beloved daughter, KC (Kristina Casimira). Both of us were deeply moved by the love and care that both Father and Mother Moon provided at that difficult time. Indeed, it was one of the most difficult times in our lives, and we will never forget their generosity and loving kindness.

When I learned of Father Moon's passing a year ago, I was dumbfounded. I had seen him on so many occasions, standing before multitudes such as we have here today, and speaking for hours, full of dynamic passion, vitality, and almost superhuman energy. I could never imagine him getting ill, let alone passing away.

But, of course, each of us resides on the earth on borrowed time, for a temporary period. Each of us is destined for a higher place, with God, in the spiritual world. I know that Father Moon is alive and well in the spiritual world. You can be absolutely sure that wherever he is in that eternal world, he continues to teach and speak with an unbounded energy that exceeds all the dynamism he once demonstrated here on the earthly plane. Can you imagine that what I am saying is true? Is he not here today, in our midst?

Yes, I can see that you agree. In fact, I feel his presence is right here, as strong as it ever was when he walked the earth. Can't you feel his presence here in this place?

I never met Father Moon when Mother Moon was not by his side. They were inseparable. In fact, I think they are still inseparable. Isn't that true?

As they say, behind every great man, stands a great woman. I know it is also true of Father Moon. We are blessed that Mother Moon, who knows Father Moon better than anyone else does, is herself standing strong in carrying on the great work that Father Moon began. What is this work?

Father Moon was the leading force in global interfaith work, in the dialogue between religions and cultures, in the dialogue between civilizations. He knew that we will never be able to achieve world peace without first establishing good relations among the religions and the believers in the world.

In fact, in August 2000, Father Moon initiated the call for the United Nations to create an inter-religious council as a central organ of that great global institution. He knew that the UN could never be entirely successful in achieving its noble ends without the inclusion of religions and spiritual leaders. Father Moon was truly prophetic. He voiced an idea whose time had come.

Father Moon has been the leading force in the promotion of strong, healthy, loving marriages and families. He knew that the family was the school of love, the school of citizenship, the school of ethics and the school of character. Gina and I participated in Father and Mother Moon's Blessing Ceremony to strengthen marriage and family....

Over the past few days, in the International Leadership Conference, we have been studying about the thought, the life and the legacy of Father Moon. We have learned so much, and we have each developed a greater appreciation for this man of God, who with single-minded dedication devoted every moment of his life to his mission -- not only proclaiming but practicing the principle of living for the sake of others.

Ms. Hye Sung Jeong, 71, a ubiquitous presence on Korean television who has also appeared in nearly thirty movies, read a letter to Father that she composed. She had joined the church as an adolescent but grew estranged from the church as she grew older. She reconnected after being appointed a peace ambassador. What follows is an excerpt from her letter:

As we go forward from this day, let us keep the vision, the memory and heart of Father Moon close to our hearts.

The greatest testimony of our appreciation to Father Moon will be that we continued to carry on with the work he called each of us to do -- the work for peace, the work for human development, the work for interfaith cooperation, the work for true love and true families.

Let us never falter in our resolve. We are gathered here not only to remember and mourn. Our task is to carry on. Our task is to strive until the good fight is won. Yes, peace is difficult but it is achievable. Together we can make it happen.

Father Moon, Mother Moon, we love you. Thank you very much.

Recognizing Korean Ideal in Practice

Cheol Seung Lee was a seven-term national assemblyman and has been a leader among patriotic Koreans since his high school days.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today is the first anniversary of Rev. Sun Myung loon's passing to the spirit world, a rite called seong-hum. I consider it a great privilege to speak in honor of his memory before all of you here today, who have come from around the world to pay respects to our beloved Rev. Sun Myung Moon. First of all, I'd like to offer my deepest condolences to Mrs. Dr. Hak Ja Han and to the bereaved family.

Standing on this stage, brings back memories of last year, when I came hurriedly with great sadness in my heart to Cheon Jeong Gong where Rev. Sun Myung Moon's body was resting.

Today, I offer these most sincere words of commemoration to honor our Rev. Sun Myung Moon, a great man who contributed to the establishment and democratization of this proud nation, the greatest nation since the era of Dangun with its founding spirit of freedom, independence, democracy and unification.

Who was Rev. Sun Myung Moon, whom we have come here to remember? Since his birth, throughout the ninety-three years until his departure, Rev. Sun Myung Moon's life was filled with difficulties -- from the Japanese occupation, the Second World War, independence and the subsequent division into two Koreas, as well as the tragedy of the Korean War. Even in the midst of conflict between North Korea and South Korea, Rev. Sun Myung Moon transcended the barriers of nation, race and religion. He was a true leader, teacher and a great man of peace, who had striven to create a world of peace. He was truly an eternal symbol of peace.

He was a great man who practiced the ideal of the unity of king, teacher and father in his life, an ideal that our people have cherished for a very long time. This man did just not come and go. We have not a shred of doubt that he is still here with us in our hearts. You who have come here today from all around the world are the very evidence of this.

Ten years ago, on July 27, 2003, the time of the first Peace Cup, which was held in Suwon, Korea, I made a promise to Rev. Sun Myung Moon to form a tie with him as sworn brothers.

There, I also promised him that -- even though we were old men nearing ninety years of age -- we would liberate our brothers in North Korea, achieve Korean reunification and raise cups in Pyongyang to celebrate the reunification. We would stay healthy until that time came.

We were able to conduct a tour as part of a project of the UN Peace Forces of the Korean War Memorial Federation, a federation that was established with Rev. Moon's generous support. When I stood at the forefront of the tour to demonstrate the Korean people's gratitude to the sixteen nations that participated in the Korean War as part of the UN Peacekeeping Forces, I did so as a part of our preparation to fulfill that promise of reunification. This project was the first of its kind; not even the Korean government or its people had considered doing this over the past sixty years.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon put his life on the line when he went up to North Korea to meet Kim Il Sung to discuss Korean reunification. There, he urged Kim Il Sung, holding his hands, to give up the Juche ideal and accept his Unification Thought. He then emphasized that that was the only way to achieve the reunification of our nation. His unwavering spirit of love for our nation and our people served as a great model and infused us with great courage.

Now, the efforts of our descendants will soon realize the promise I made to Rev. Sun Myung Moon. When we look at what is happening in the world and in North Korea, it is only a matter of time before the people of North Korea gain freedom. Rev. Moon, please be assured of this!

Why have we come here today? We have come to protect the great teachings of Rev. Moon, who followed the course of the true parent of humankind, true teacher and true leader of peace. We have come here today in order to inherit Rev. Moon's teachings and make them blossom, so that his wishes are realized.

In Korea, there is a saying, "Only when the servants work properly will the master live as a master." Another saying states, "Students make their teachers shine." Also, they say that to maintain is more difficult than to create.

You, the people who uphold Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han as the eternal true parents, true teachers and true leaders! Are you not their servants, their students and their children? You are the ones chosen from the 7 billion people on earth. You were blessed to receive the teachings of Rev. Moon while he was still alive. You received his love as no others did.

I would like to ask you to offer your sincere devotion, so that Rev. Moon's life-long dreams and wishes can be sown upon the earth.

We must not forget, even for one moment, about the sincere efforts of Dr. Hak Ja Han, who now stays here with us, to continue Rev. Moon's great work. We should be always grateful to her.

As we face this meaningful first year anniversary of Rev. Moon's passing, we must move beyond our own selfish interests, become more grateful and more united around Dr. Hak Ja Han. We must not forget that the eyes of the world are watching us to see if we can practice the teachings left by Rev. Moon.

I urge you with all my heart to become the lantern of hope and the subject of people's praise.

I want to pray with a loyal heart for the eternal life and happiness of Rev. Sun Myung Moon again. I hereby conclude my speech. Thank you.

Commemorating Sun Myung Moon's Ascension

It is my great honor to stand before you here today to represent Buddhism on this occasion of the first anniversary of the universal Seonghwa of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.

As you are well aware, Rev. Sun Myung Moon lived a truly selfless life, offering everything he had in order to create a peaceful world for humankind. We cannot make a simple judgment of who he really was, because Rev. Sun Myung Moon blazed a trail and left a truly vast and enduring legacy. Rev. Moon is generally known to the people of the world as a religious leader and the founder of a religion. Some people see him as a peace activist, thinker and educator. Some people regard him as the Messiah that gave his life to this world in order to realize peace. However, these simple words are not enough to encompass the greatness that defines the man named Rev. Sun Myung Moon.

As he so eloquently stated, "When someone says to me just a word of sympathy for the life I have lived, tears begin to fall like a waterfall from my eyes." Such has been Rev. Moon's eventful life, as he faced harsh persecution and experienced great sorrow. The reason we are here today to pay our respects and remember him is not simply because he was a man who was able to emerge from indescribable difficulties and challenges like a phoenix.

Just as the sun keeps shining even though a rain storm covers it, Rev. Moon lived his entire life, walking the heavenly course of true love. He gave, kept giving and continued to give, while not even remembering that he had ever given. That was his philosophy on living for the sake of others.

Rev. Moon showed us through his life that there is always hope, just as the sun will always be there even though there may be black clouds of rain covering it.

Distinguished guests who love peace, I want to extend my heart of sincere gratitude to the host who made this event possible and for this honor of being able to give a commemorative speech. I pray that peace be upon you all. I would like to conclude my speech by reciting a poem written by Manhae Han Yong Woon, a great Buddhist monk, who was a great poet and a pillar of Buddhism in Korea.

I carried the unfathomable power of sadness and poured it inside the new cup of hope.

We meet and we worry that we will say good-bye. But we say good-bye believing one day we will meet again.

Oh, you have gone, but I have not let you go.

The song of love that surrenders to my voice embraces your silence.

Prayers for Unification Conclude a Pilgrimage from Northern Japan

For participants in the International Leadership Conference (ILC) and members attending a Strategy Meeting for Vision 2020 -- two events that were integral to the commemoration of Father's ascension -- a primary order of business was supporting a Japanese initiative that had begun in faraway Hokkaido. As a way of honoring Father's heart and life, 210 <Japanese members had ridden bicycles from that northernmost Japanese island all the way to Shimonoseki. There, eight riders crossed the sea to Busan, South Korea, where Korean cyclists joined them. The Koreans had ridden from the northwest coast of South Korea, through Seoul and down to Busan. Together, they left Busan on Korea's southern tip and rode all the way to Imjingak, a point seven kilometer from the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a four-kilometer-wide strip that separates the two Koreas. Imjingak is an observation point with art and photographic displays expressing Korea's grief over the Korean War and desire for reunification. A nearby amusement park keeps younger visitors busy.

A large group that included ambassadors for peace and several of Hyo Jin nim's children mounted bikes and joined the riders for the final kilometer to Imjingak. The Japanese had ridden 3,800 kilometers. For some of the older ambassadors for peace, the unexpected high temperatures made even the last kilometer challenging. At Imjingak, all joined in singing and praying for unification. The AP and AFP wire services and Korea's KBS broadcasting covered the event.

Just as Jesus redeemed the sins of humanity by the Blood on The Cross, you endured for about a month such suffering from the fight for Your Life attached to various painful machines...

We prayed and cried for Your Life...

Chairman Lee Sung Ge?, an elder Senator of Korea, Independent activist, one of the first people to lead democratization and industrialization of Korea... He and True Father had a deep connection and they were sworn brothers. One of the first ones who came to the Cheong Seong after hearing the news of Father..

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today is the First Anniversary of Rev. Sun Myung Moon's passing to the spirit world, a rite called Seonghwa. I consider it a great privilege to speak in honor of His Memory before all of you from around the world who have come to pay respects to our Beloved Sun Myung Moon.

First of all, I like to offer my deepest condolences to Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon and the bereaved Family.

Standing on this stage brings me back memories of last year when I came hurriedly to Cheon Sung Gun where Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Body was resting.

Ladies and Gentlemen, today I offer these most sincere words to honor Sun Myung Moon... Who has done so much for this great nation, doing so much for democracy, and education...

Ladies and Gentlemen, Who was Rev. Sun Myung Moon Who we have come here to remember?

Since, His Birth and throughout 90 years of His Life until His departure, filled with difficulties from the Japanese occupation the 2nd WW the division of N and S as well as the tragedy of Korean War...

Even in greatest conflict, He overcame. He is a great leader who has strived for peace and is the eternal symbol of peace.

He is a great man Who has lived his Life practicing the ideal of King, Teacher and Father; an ideal cherished by our people for a very long time.

This great Man did not just come and go. We have not a shred of doubt that He is still here with us in our hearts.

(Applause)

You who have gathered here today from all around the world are the very evidence of this.

Ladies and gentlemen, 10 years ago on July 17, 2003, when the first Peace Cup tournament was held in Korea I made a promise with Sun Myung Moon to form a time of sworn brothers.

(Applause)

Here I also promised that even though we are old men, we will liberate our brothers in the North and see the unification with the North.

(They stopped translating)

When I stood at the forefront to demonstrate the Korean people's gratitude, I did so as a promise to fulfill that promise of unification.

This project was the first of its kind. Even the S. Korean government did not consider doing it for the past (long) years... for unification of N and S Korea.

Ladies and gentlemen, there was no such person in the history of this nation putting His Life on the line to go meet Kim Il Sung to discuss unification. He urged him, holding his hands to accept Unification Thought as the only way. His unwavering Spirit of Love serves as a great model and infuses us with great courage.

Now, the promise I made with Rev. Sun Myung Moon will soon be realized by the efforts of our descendants.

When we look at what is happening, it is only a matter of time before N Korea gains freedom. Rev. Moon, please be assured of this.

Again, when we look at what is happening in the world and North Korea, it is only a matter of time....

Ladies and gentlemen, why have we come here today? Needless to say, we have come to protect the great Teaching of Rev. Moon Who walked the course of True Parent, Teacher and Leader of Peace.

We have come to inherit those Teachings and make them blossom so that His Teachings are realized.

In Korea there is a saying: 'Only when the servants work properly, the Master can be a True Master' There is another saying: 'The student makes to Teacher shine'. and ' It is more difficult to maintain than to create'. When students act properly the leader will be respected as well.

Please uphold Rev. Moon as The True Parent, Teacher and Leader. Are you not Their servant, their children.

You are the ones that are chosen from 7 billion people of the earth and saw Him when He was still alive. You received His Love like no other. I like to ask you to give your devotion so that countless fruits can be made from His devotion.

We must not forget for one moment about the sincere efforts of Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon. We should always be grateful to Her.

Ladies and gentlemen, As we face this first year, please move beyond our own self-interest and become more grateful and united around Rev. Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon...

We must not forget that the eyes of this world are watching us to see if we can practice the Teachings left by Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Ladies and gentlemen, I urge you to become the lantern of hope and the subject of people's praise, with all my heart.

I want to pray with a loyal heart for the eternal Life and Happiness of Rev. Sun Myung Moon

It is my great honor to stand before you today to represent Buddhism.. The True Parent of Heaven and Earth and Humanity

As you are aware He lived a truly selfless life to offer everything for humanity and peace

We cannot make a simple judgment of Who He really was... He left a blazing trail and legacy

(Applause)

Rev Moon is generally known to the people of the world as a religious leader and founder of a religion. Some people see Him as a Peace Activist some as The Messiah Who gave His Life in order to realize peace; but, these are not enough to define the greatness that defines the Man, Rev Sun Myung Moon.

(Aju to that!)

He stated that when someone begins to have sensitivity to the truth of His Life, tears fall like a waterfall from His Eyes... Like no other, He experienced such persecution and great sorrow.

We are here, not merely because He rose like a phoenix from such sufferings, emerging and continuing to give His all, not remembering back what He gave... even through such sufferings... That was His philosophy, to live for the sake of others.

Rev Moon showed us through His Life that there is always hope just like when the sun is there with only seeing black clouds of rain.

Distinguished guests who love peace I want to extend my sincere heart of gratitude to those who prepared this event of commemoration and made it possible now..

Man He Man Ho Yun poem(?) I like to conclude by reciting this poem of someone who was a great pillar of Buddhism: (Sorry I could not get this down very well)

I carried the unfathomable sadness and poured it into the cup of hope

We say goodbye with knowing one day we will meet again

The song of love that remembers Your Voice embraces Your silence.

Dear True Parents and True Family and...

It is my great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to share with you a few words this morning to honor the Life, Teachings and Legacy of our Father Moon.

Dr. Sun Myung Moon has passed away to the spiritual world one year ago today.

I am always moved and uplifted when I come to Chung Pyung.

My wife...Geneya? and I have had the very good fortune to visit Father and Mother Moon many times in this holy place in this holy land. In particular, my wife Geneya? and I will never forget the kindness and compassion shown to us from Father and Mother Moon after the passing of our beloved daughter when our house burned down.

Both of us were deeply moved by the love and care which both Father and Mother Moon provided at one of the most difficult times of our life and we will never forget their generosity and loving kindness.

When I learned of Father Moon's passing 1 year ago, I was dumfounded and I immediately came to Korea. I have seen him on so many occasions standing at great events and speaking with such dynamics and energy for long periods, and I could never imagine Him dying and passing away.

Of course, each of us resides on this planet earth on borrowed time and is destined for a higher place we go in the spirit world. I know that Father Moon is alive and well in the spirit world and wherever He is in that eternal world, Father continues to speak and give the dynamism that we experienced from Him in this earthly plain.

(Applause)

Excellences, people of prayer, can you imagine what I am saying is true. Is Father Moon not here today in our midst?

(Applause)

Yes, I can see and hear that you totally agree. In fact, I feel His Presence in the mountains right here in our midst as strong as ever as when He walked this earth. Can't you feel His Presence right here in this coliseum?

(Applause)

I never met Father Moon when Mother Moon was not by His Side. They were inseparable.. In fact, I think They are still inseparable. Yes, I believe Father Moon is here right in our very midst.

(Applause)

They say 'Behind every great Man, great Leader, stands a great woman; and, I know it is also true of Father Moon and Mother Moon.

(Applause)

We are Blessed that Mother Moon Who knows Father Moon better than anyone is Herself standing strong to carry on the great legacy that Father began. Let us now give our full support to Mother Moon.

(Applause)

For what is this world? Father Moon was the Leading Force in global faith, dialogue between religions, cultures, civilizations... He knew we could never have peace without unity of the different religions and that is why Rev. Moon is honored by Christians, Buddhists, Muslims and all the religions of the world.

He is loved even by the people of North Korea.

In fact, in August 2000 Father Moon initiated to goal for the United Nations to create a religious council as an organ of that institution... He knew it could never be entirely successful without religious leaders... Democracy and government cannot succeed without spiritual leadership... He was a prophet and dynamic spiritual leader for this time that has come...

(Applause)

Helping, marriages and families. He knew that the family was the school of love, ethics and character. My wife participated in Father and Mother Moon's Blessing Ceremony to strengthen marriage and family.

(Applause Mother smiles slightly)

Yes, Excellences, Ambassadors for Peace, people of Korea, the list goes on and on and includes the great works of Father Moon all over the world, the WFWPU, Washington Times, Little Angels performing arts, the highway, education of the young, countless numbers of jobs created in countless corners of the world by Him...

In the International Leadership Conference, we have been studying and have a greater appreciation for this Man of God Who with single-minded devotion, not only proclaimed but also practiced His Mission for living for the sake of others.

Delegates from around the world, our beloved people of Korea, as we go forward from this day, let us keep the vision, the memory and the works of Rev. Father Moon close to our own hearts.

Our greatest living testimony of our appreciation to Father Moon will be that we carry on with the work He gave us to do, with Mother Moon, the work for peace, international development and cooperation, the work for true families.

Excellences, friends, ladies and gentlemen, let us never alter in our resolve. We are here not only to mourn but to carry on with Mother Moon, strive until the good fight is won. Yes, peace is achievable, peace among nations, peace in the hearts of men.

Oh Father the pain of loving

Place your hand on my chest

My heart is bursting such agony

But when I love those who acted against me

I brought victory

If you have done the same thing,

A Letter to Father

Beloved True Father

One year has passed since your ascension.

Last summer was an extremely harsh season

The intensity of your Life began even before Your Birth

The cries for Korea's independence heralded Your Life that would be filled with such hardships extreme hardships knowing that the Heavenly Parents

Guided you on that path are blinded by the tears from our heart.

On the day you were released from prison, You could have chosen to visit nearby (Your hometown)

On this lonely path, You followed the Will of God's Providence, You went the path of Golgotha. You pushed back Your Tears.

Your determined role toward million was strong and silently You wept after readings letters from members who were prisoners in Communist prisons.

Father, we will see You again in the next world.

America must awake, so You cried in the land of freedom... Even while embracing Kim Il Sung, You wielded an iron road toward the nations, yet to us, You were always a passionate and affectionate Father.

Last year, as autumn was falling, the sad news that You had ascended left all of us dumfounded. Before ascending to the Heavenly Nation, You gazed into True Mother's Heart and You sat before True Mother at a table for two. You went to Your Hometown... You were attached to an oxygen tank saying your last farewell.

When You prayed it is all accomplished, tears welled up in my eyes and my heart aches thinking about it.

Father, no matter how many times I call you, I call you again. Father, I miss you dearly. You are the Light of my life. You are an ever expanding ocean to me. Father, when you suddenly ascended to the Heavenly Nation, we assumed that True Mother would be the most crippled by grieve; yet, She raised the torch saying that there is no stopping. You must give all your resolution with all your heart. She raised high the torch of Love. Father, You spend each day like a thousand years, as You went forward to open the Kingdom of Heaven.

True Mother is now taking the lead... and we too shall follow True Parents in this way. We shall lead a life so that we too can proudly say that we too have accomplished everything. We know that You will always be there for us in the Heavenly Nation and we shall follow True Mother to fulfill our best to fulfill our Vision 2020. This is our pledge this 17th day of month of the Heavenly Calendar, I recite this poem in my name...

True Father already talked about The Constitution and we are creating the environment and 16 scholars made deep research in 16 months and 8 public meetings from 22 countries.. In the future subordinate laws for life shall be under this Constitution and now representing Kim Hung Lee, Rev. (4 former national leaders of Korea) now coming onstage.

I proclaim a new start as the entire global Unification Community makes the determination to become one with True Parents' Mission and roses and lilies, crane as national bird.

I dedicate the national anthem and flag in front of Heaven.

Today is indeed a day of gratitude and joy. True Father's Accomplishments... I am immensely happy and grateful to see True Father's Teachings that have been threaded into one line.

These teachings will become the substantial center of Cheon Il Guk, its fruit and pillars.

(Tears)

How happy would Heaven be if you could become one with these teachings and fulfill all your responsibilities and missions in your respective countries. As people in the year 2020, I said that we must make Korea God's Homeland at all costs. Not just by saying so; but, we need to practice in order to make it come true.

You must move and be reborn through the truth and become the torches of light for the people out there. Your efforts will become like the fertilizers of Cheon Il Guk, the pillars. I will give greater support to those who support and have talents, so that they play greater roles so that the future will be bright if we give more, practice more, share more. A happy world will dawn.

Your lives today will become the nutrients of the future and will as people who live in the same age as True Mother, this gives you special qualifications and authority. This is where you stand. Every single one of you have the potential to become beautiful gems, filial children and patriots, and based on third gen members to expand this realm. As time passes by, we only have hope.

Blessed beloved families and member from around the world. I am truly proud of you. You must be able to repay Heaven at all costs and succeed. Show the Kingdom of God on earth and Heaven has begun. Do you understand? It is our responsibility to follow this path of life or death resolve and advancing without rest. Please bear this in mind.

Heavenly Parent, lonely 6,000 years... only after that did God's 6,000 years resentment resolve.. waiting with a concerned heart that maybe the central figures would give up in the middle, what He went through in pain.. while as B families with the love from God and True Parents, we were actually very small and inadequate, but enable our dreams to become the dream of Heavenly Parent and True Parents and may we achieve with God achieve that One Family Under God centered on True Love. Enable us to realize that country, to really stand on Your Homeland and become people who do everything we do for that.

I will start working on the creation of the environment from this moment. True Father conducted education in all aspects and fields, regardless of the status of the audience. This is the only path for the world. I will put my first priority on education.

That is why future leaders are being fostered and all leaders from all walks of life must first be educated. The world is now running centered on True Parents will Heavenly Fortune coming down to be with you. Please be victors at all costs.

I'd like to convey my gratitude and all Blessed Families and members around the world. Today, we have become one.

Loving Peace Ambassadors, members, we from now on at this very time, we have become one in heart and mind and True Father who gave us the great teachings and as we commemorate His Accomplishments, we made the determination that we will realize True Parents Will at all costs. On this Seunghwa event memorial, Korea and Japan have become one

And so from now on, from August 3, 2013, there was a peace march that started in Japan and they would march all the way to Incheon dong. They had a bicycle march for peace with the hope to realize unification of North and South Korea.

Our conditions and dedication should not end at Incheon dong. It should move on to the whole world and in realizing the free and peaceful world The Kingdom of Heaven on earth let us advance until we achieve it.

On this very good day, with all the distinguished guest, beloved members and Blessed families, True Father is living in our hearts. Let us all become one with Him and realize Heavenly Parents and True Parents Will on earth while we are still alive. We will become true children and loyal to do so. It is my hope that you make this determination to do so.

True Love of Father for humanity

Father, let us escape from this sadness and I will raise His Voice and His Word and bestow The m upon this humanity that they may know.

Father, please no longer be sad. Stop crying. I will fulfill Your Wishes.

Defendant, Sun Myung Moon, You are hereby sentenced to 18 months prison terms; but,

Mother, Mother, Father is imprisoned at Danbury... It has been only half a year after the passing of Heung Jin Nim. How can Father be imprisoned like this. Our hearts are ripping apart. Father has been persecuted His entire Life, always trying to extend the Words of God. How could He be treated like this. Please all this is part of what we have to pay indemnity for. We need to help Father so that He can fulfill His restoration Providence.

Oh God, You have made me stand alone. I am a Wife of a Man and the Mother of 14 Children. How could I not feel pain and suffering. In front of this Course, I have sent many of my Children ahead of me. I am only a weak woman. Please allow Your Courage to dwell in me. God, I will fulfill the promise I have made unto You and I will endure everything with solemn heart. I am prepared to endure any suffering course. Please guide me so that I can fulfill this mission that You have given me.

Many things happened afterward. Endless sacrifice and sufferings that seemed never to end, persecution. This persecution is the last attack of Satan. I am not afraid. I have endured many persecutions. This is part of the course of Father. I will overcome it.

Mother: This mind and this body belongs to You. We are no longer orphans. Though I am still young and lacking, I will serve my Lord with all of my heart.

Others of enemy: Stop them at all cost. They threaten our power and position. Let them taste the flame of hell so that they will never question our authority. Cut them down leaving nothing behind but unfathomable darkness.

Father: At the peak of darkness, as the persecution against Father reaches its peak, I am leaving Japan in order to witness...

I am torn apart but I have to fulfill the wishes of God.

Please come and silence this raging storm

As God's Love is endless, so shall be my love, even though they rip my flesh and the core of my bones, I must not stop. Everything shall be done according to the Will of The Lord and everything judged with His Will as the standard, and I will endure this peak of darkness (It is the course of Father)

Children: Yes, even though there was such sufferings, True Parents have put Their all for humanity and achieved things that were only in dreams. Look, True Parents are smiling like this. Many people have received the salvation and eternal life. Oh Heaven Parents that have sent us the True Parents of Heaven, earth and humankind, thank you very much. They have taught us the true meaning of True Love. We love Them truly.

Today is indeed a day of joy and gratitude. Preparing this year for the coming sixtieth anniversary of the founding, it is important that FFWPU march forward with a system that can make it soar and change. It would have been great if True Parents had been welcomed by the prepared Christian foundation and had started from there. However, God's providence has no alternative but to advance. As a result, True Father had to begin from a miserable position. Now, the significant sixtieth anniversary of HSA-UWC's founding lies ahead of us. As mature children, however, how much dedication and effort have we put in to becoming one with the word through a life of practice in front of Heaven and True Parents?

What do you think you should do as the main people who can begin this overwhelming new day and new era through which you can open a new page that you can be proud of? Mustn't we put maximum effort into living up to our faith? Are you determined to become proud blessed children of the Unification community?

Today, I feel immeasurably happy. I would like to express my gratitude to our Heavenly Parent, the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, Rev. Young Hwi Kim, Rev. Jae Seok Lee, the elder members, and the members of the compilation committee and arranging committee for enabling the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures to be dedicated on this clay, just two months before the first-year memorial of Father's Seonghwa.

I said I am immensely happy. Father's sixty-year life achievements are gem-like true words of truth to fallen humanity. I am truly grateful and overjoyed, thinking that the word in its intact form has become beautiful gems that are threaded in one line. I am so happy and grateful.

We now are in the position in which we must accelerate our efforts toward the Cheon Il Guk age from now on. I believe that the word will become the center, fruit and pillar of the substantial Cheon Il Guk.

How happy would God be if you could become one with the word and fulfill your responsibility and mission in your respective positions? We still have responsibilities to fulfill in front of Heaven. The responsibility to make the world's seven billion people into Cheon Il Guk citizens and guide them in fulfilling their responsibility and mission as a result of their being born in this age, lies in our hands. You have this responsibility as the first people to know of this providence. You are all in an owner's position in which you can become devoted children and loyal subjects of Cheon Il Guk. However, if you become sluggish, Heaven will not wait for you. Please maintain your determination to live a life of practice. Starting from this day, please put your maximum effort into the salvation of humanity with the gem-like word at the center. I would like to call Rev. Young Hwi Kim, former national leader of the Korean church to the stage and present all those who worked hard for this compilation with a small token of my appreciation.

Respected True Parents and loving brothers and sisters, I am delighted that we are celebrating the founding of HSA-UWC today with our Heavenly Parent and True Parents. As you all know, we celebrated the previous anniversary of HSA-UWC's founding in Cheon Jeong Peace Palace's main auditorium last year with True Father and True Mother. However, Fathers' ascension on 7.17 by the heavenly calendar hit us all like a bolt out of the blue. True Father quickly had to leave our sides with Foundation Day only around the corner, because he still had the urgent task to perfect, conclude and complete all providences in the spiritual world just as he had done in the physical world.

Brothers and sisters within our Unification Community and the world fell into deep shock. However, True Father, who is in the spiritual world, has become one with True Mother on earth, and they could dedicate Foundation Day victoriously. Ushering in an unprecedented revolutionary turning point, True Mother has been filling the vacuum left behind by True Father's ascension and has been leading us in advancing without pausing.

We now have only seventy-four days until True Father's first Seonghwa memorial ceremony. This ceremony is a solemn one as we are dedicating the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures, the first fruit of our determination to establish Cheon Il Guk and to inherit True Father's unfinished work.

Among the projects handed down by True Father, True Mother carried forward the compilation project of the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures as a top priority. True Mother referred to True Father's sermons as unpolished stones that needed to be polished into precious gems that can be passed down to all generations.

Mother gives a gift for key figures in the publication work to Rev. Kim; in view is a cabinet constructed for the scripture volumes.

Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong are scripture for all humanity that wants to believe, follow and resemble God and True Parents. They will become eternal guides in completing Cheon Il Guk. In particular, True Mother's remarks on the mission of Cheon Il Guk citizens contain the direction that we must all take at this providential turning point.

Celebrating the publication ceremony of Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong during the sixtieth instance' of the founding of HSA-UWC holds even greater significance, because I believe it means our Heavenly Father will conduct the providence centered on Exposition of Divine Principle and on three other books, Cheon Seong Gyeong, Pyeonghwa Gyeong and the Champumo Gyeong, which will be published soon.

Loving leaders, our Heavenly Parent exists through dual characteristics. Our Heavenly Parent exists within the united body of the male Father-God and the female Mother-God. True Father is the substantial manifestation of the Father-God within Heavenly Father and True Mother is the substantial manifestation of the Mother-God. After True Father was born, he followed a forty-year course, in which he fiercely had to fight Satan and finally established the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity in 1954. True Father, who victoriously completed the forty-year course, could then meet True Mother. In 1960, True Father and True Mother became one through the Feast of the Lamb, which the Heavenly Parent had long awaited. They now stand in the position of True Parents. As the substantial self of the Father-God within the Heavenly Parent, True Father then conducted and commanded the entire providence starting from the providence of restoration through indemnity all the way to the establishment of Cheon Il Guk. True Mother, who stood on True Father's side as his providential partner, walked and supported this course.

After True Father's ascension, True Mother, the substantial self of the Mother-God within the Heavenly Parent, inherited True Father's mission and has conducted and commanded the entire providence of restoration and the providence of establishing Cheon Il Guk herself. True Father is by her side, spiritually supporting True Mother.

As people that worked as partners in missions and as those who have experienced attending the providential top commanders, True Father and True Mother -- starting from the era when True Father conducted the entire providence to today's era with the entire providence under True Mother's command -- we must know that we have received a special glory and grace no other person in any age has been able to receive. Hence, those that have attended True Father, the manifestation of the Father-God within Heavenly Parent and True Mother, the manifestation of the Mother-God within Heavenly Parent in two eras, must accomplish all of their loyal and filial duties by completely dedicating themselves for the settlement of Cheon Il Guk both on earth and in heaven.

I bow my head in gratitude to the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind for leading us and giving us their great teachings for the liberation of God and salvation of humanity all throughout their lives. I hope that the great love and blessings of our Heavenly Parent and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind remain with all those who have participated in today's sacred ceremony and all brothers and sisters around the world who could not make it here today. May everything be realized according to our Heavenly Parent's will. I will conclude my address here. Thank you.

Dear respected and beloved brothers and sisters, let us all offer boundless gratitude and glory to our Heavenly Parent and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind today for letting us compile Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong! In particular, True Parents' efforts at bequeathing the projects that True Father started in his lifetime constitute a phenomenal grace possible through True Mother's amazing insight and perception.

We feel the need to reflect on the meaning of Foundation Day as we celebrate this significant day. Foundation Day is the day on which the substantial Cheon Il Guk began. It was the day when True Parents ascended the throne as the holy emperor and empress of Cheon Il Guk. It was the day when blessed families took part in the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day Registration Blessing Ceremony. This is how we welcomed the first year of Cheon Il Guk.

According to True Parents, signs of Foundation Day will include cataclysmic changes both in heaven and on earth, the day before the coming of heaven changing into the day after the coming of heaven, and a time when a new heaven and earth will be created. True Father proclaimed this day "the cosmic revolutionary period." True Mother proclaimed it the "providential, revolutionary, great turning point." However, True Mother explained that signs of Foundation Day do not imply the occurrence of physical and phenomenal changes.

In light of that, what do you think is the significance of the providential, revolutionary, great turning point? First, it is a time when the parents' era goes through a revolutionary change and transitions into the children's era. The children's era responsibility was ushered in along with the beginning of the substantial Cheon Il Guk. It is also a time when the providential era of True Parents' responsibility goes through providential and historic changes and transitions into the era of the children's responsibility. Cheon Il Guk is the original ideal kingdom of God. Hence, the establishment of Cheon Guk and registration in Cheon Il Guk puts us hack in the sinless position of Adam and Eve in the original Garden of Eden, created by our Heavenly Parent. In other words, the Garden of Eden, where God completed creating the entire universe and Adam and Eve, and where God was pleased to see that everything was good, has been restored. Thus, True Parents, who founded Cheon Il Guk, have perfected, concluded and completed their mission to restore the original Garden of Eden.

Then our Heavenly Parent, who completed the creation, gave Adam and Eve the three great blessings -- to be fruitful, to multiply and to have dominion over the creation. Likewise, I believe that the period from the beginning until the completion of the substantial Cheon Il Guk parallels the period when Adam and Eve had to realize the commandment of the three great blessings to perfect the Garden of Eden. True Parents have completed their mission of re-creation just as our Heavenly Parent had. Now the children's era is a new age in which children need to accomplish their responsibility and in which everything changes completely in accord with this new providential age. Therefore, the time has come for you and I, who have become God's children, to take responsibility for the completion of Cheon Il Guk.

True Mother concluded the event with an elegant song. As she sang, performers that had preceded her came in from the wings and provided vocal accompaniment.

Secondly, a great revolutionary change should now occur in which we go from being an apocalyptic community to a community centered on education through the word. True Mother clarified that "this is the path we follow from now on," at the continental directors' meeting. This scripture is the word as the three great blessings for the settlement of Cheon Il Guk. Among them, the first is the bequeathing of True Father's projects. True Mother said, "We should absolutely live up to True Parents' traditions and then inherit and pass them down to our descendants for eternity. True Parents, above all, first emphasized that our church's identity and tradition should be passed down as it is in this great revolutionary changing period.

True Mother allowed the publication of Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong, extracts from True Parents' messages, as the root of the bequeathing of projects. She is also preparing Cheon Seong Gyeong to pass down the essence of True Parent's noble lives. This transmission project is a great act, compiling True Parent's teachings and testimonies of their lives into an historical heritage of faith that can lead all the people of all ages onto the smooth path to Cheon Il Guk. It bequeaths and moves ahead with True Parent's teachings, lives and accomplishments and encourages everyone to live a life of true love just as True Parents have by becoming embodiments of the word, the substantial self of the word by living in accordance with it, and by becoming the incarnation of the word. I believe this is opening a path to individual perfection, which is indeed a splendid feat.

In the future, we must read these three great scriptures, inscribe their contents in our minds, meditate and pray about the word, feel it in our hearts, practice the word, and go through repetitive educational training in order to completely imbue our bodies with it. By achieving individual perfection, family perfection and missions as tribal messiahs in this way, we can finally settle down as citizens of Cheon Il Guk.

Today, we are attending the grave and significant ceremony to commemorate the compilation of Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong, which integrated the teachings and lifestyle True Parents taught us and showed us through their blood, sweat and tears all throughout their lives.

We have risked our lives, given maximum effort, lived up to our faith with the goal of entering Cheon Il Guk through the wilderness and the pioneering periods. For us to settle down into Cheon Il Guk as its registered citizens, we must first transition into an age where the individual must first settle by reaching individual perfection, the family must settle by perfecting the four great loves and tribal messiahs must settle by putting their lives at risk, putting maximum effort and live up to their faith. Whenever we open our mouths, we just shout out that we will make a life-or-death resolution, using the same words True Father uses. However, what has changed? What did we reform? The direction of making a life-or-death resolution has changed. We are no longer in the era heading into Cheon Il Guk. However, anyone who enters Cheon Guk cannot simply become a perfect person, nor can a family just become a true family or an individual a tribal messiah. From my understanding, the family must achieve the four great loves; a person that achieves the kingdom of heaven in the family will then obtain the qualification to become a tribal messiah.

I would like to offer my gratitude once more to True Parents who have bestowed their precious words of love, truth and life on us. Let every one of us gravely pledge in front of True Parents to become the front-line soldiers in the settlement of Cheon Il Guk. Thank you very much.

Cheon Il Guk Scriptures, the Creation Process

True Parents had offered many conditions by using the first edition of Cheon Seong Gyeong, which was published in 2003, for Hoon Dok Hae every day for about ten years. The first edition was the underlying structure of these new scriptures and greatly contributed to the providence.

The first edition of Cheon Seong Gyeong is a volume combining different books issued by the Seonghwa Publishing Company. This naturally caused main themes and the material itself within the books to overlap.

The first edition did not quote directly from True Father's original sermons, but used secondary and tertiary source quotations from already published books, which had embellished the material. This embellishment resulted in many distorted paragraphs by the final phase. True Mother, who noticed this, was saddened and instructed that scripture befitting the status of Cheon Il Guk be compiled. Officially, the Compilation Committee began its work on August 23, 2012.

Three Compilation Committee policies resulted from several meetings and workshops. The first policy was that the text be drawn from True Father's original sermons. The second policy was to expand Cheon Seong Gyeong to include extracts from sermons Father gave after 2000. The original version did not have material from those years. The third policy was to make Cheon Seong Gyeong a guide for members in the Cheon Il Guk era.

Phase One: Deciding On Structure

The first phase taken toward compilation was planning. They divided what was to be compiled into three categories -- themes, chapters and verses. The major themes became thirteen books (a division within the volume, with books divided into chapters) starting from the Book of God to the Book of Cheon Il Guk and the Book of True Parents' Prayers.

The Compilation Committee members divided their roles based on the major themes and focused on setting up titles for chapters and verses, the book's sub-themes. The Compilation Committee and Editing Committee had around forty members total.

Phase Two: Wading Through Texts

The second phase began with searching for excerpts among the many volumes Father's sermons and allocating paragraphs to appropriate chapters and verses. Reading the many volumes of speeches one by one and sorting them out was no easy task.

Then, to produce a 150-page book, enough material for five or six hundred pages had to be further reduced.

Following this, a sorting task allocating the selected text to chapters and verses was carried out.

A desperate need for additional staff members arose because of the great amount of work. We marshaled the support of experts in compiling excerpts from Father's sermons.

Phase Three: Editing

This step was a procedure in which the excerpts were arranged under subheads. The rule -- that all editing must be done to the standard that all paragraphs come directly from True Father's sermon volumes -- was maintained. The editing focus was on maintaining a storytelling style befitting each theme. To arrange excerpts from True Father's sermons, which were given in different times and places to different audiences was a difficult task and required professional expertise.

The process of sorting, rearranging and replacing excepted material by sub-themes was repeated several times for each book.

As a reference in creating Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong,' we carried out analyses of existing scriptures in terms of book size, font choice and general appearance. Readability was increased by using black for the text and maroon for all types of headings in Cheon Seong Gyeong and blue for the same purpose in Pyeonghwa Gyeong.

The books, chapters, verses and paragraphs within the volumes are numbered to allow readers to quote from them easily.

In addition, much effort was expended in preparing the volumes exterior. The border on the front and back of the cover has a rose pattern on Cheon Seong Gyeong and a lily pattern on Pyeonghwa Gyeong.

In order to facilitate the usage of the book, several sample volumes were produced to see which most fully alleviated drawbacks that were seen in the original Cheon Seong Gyeong volume. The best size and design were decided in this way.

The volumes have a very serviceable design. They are lighter than the original, thinner, more pleasing to the eye and designed to find quotations easily. Cheon Seong Gyeong has recessed finger tabs in the pages to open easily at the beginning of the individual books within the volume. The thin paper weighs only forty-two grams a page and both volumes come with a protective box.

Phase Four: Reviewing the Text

On December 29, 2012, the Korean headquarters appointed as reviewers 120 people among elder members, ministers, heads of organizations and key Japanese members. They focused on four areas -- how well the titles had been composed, logic within paragraphs, cohesion of the material from beginning to end and how the text sounded when read as Hoon Dok material.

In order to test these criteria, members of the editing staff also read the full text more than ten times each, repeating the task after making many adjustments.

Phase Five: Verification

After collecting opinions of the 120 reviewers, Rev. Young Hwi Kim and Rev. Jae Seok Lee led two teams of five people each as team leaders and verified the conclusions of the reviewers' opinions through exhaustive discussions. The two team leaders, both over eighty years old, digested a difficult schedule, leading the discussions for twenty full days.

The material that passed through the verification process was then compared to the original text. This was done to avoid repetition and to verify the source of the original text. Each paragraph's source was checked severally within the many volumes of The Sermons of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon. Completing all verification occupied around two hundred man- days. This process verified whether the material and original texts matched and whether any repetitions existed.

Phase Six: Publication

After the dedication of the first draft, ten editing members divided into two teams and each team read one volume seven times. Printing only started after the final proofreading and rectification of typographical or other errors were completed.

Taking into consideration the beauty of each page in regard to the margins, the number of words per page was made uniform. In the case of Cheon Seong Gyeong, we made certain that no blank space remained at the end of any chapter or book within the volume, which comprised 5,169 paragraphs. Where blank spaces existed, we searched for additional material that matched the specific subject area and rearranged the order of the paragraphs to fit the space.

Phase Seven: Printing and Bookbinding

When a book is too thick, the gap between the front and back cover easily gets torn. Therefore, when bookbinding Cheon Seong Gyeong and the Pyeonghwa Gyeong, each page was elaborately stitched and the inside of Cheon Seong Gyeong was strengthened by coating the cover and flyleaf.

We have published two thousand limited edition volumes that contain True Mother's signature. The Japanese translation of Cheon Seong Gyeong has been completed. It, too, is being dedicated today. The English-language team are near the end of the translation stage. They are speeding up the process under the guidance of the Mission Foundation.

The last thing I would like to point out is the cabinet for the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures. Great dedication was invested in its construction. True Mother herself gave specifications for the cabinet's production. Roses, lilies and cranes are part of the exterior design. Made using lacquer and mother-of-pearl, the box is strong enough to resist humidity and extreme temperatures and might remain intact for a thousand years.

Starting today, June 10, 2013, the two scriptures will he sold to members. We plan to produce Cheon Seong Gyeong in various media. Our first plan is to produce an audio version of Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeonghwa Gyeong.

When we first started this project, the entire compilation committee was filled with great fear and concern. However, whenever we faced a dead end, we could overcome through spiritual experiences with True Father and detailed guidance from True Mother.

Vision 2020 Policy Conference for Strategic and Providential Nations

I am aware that you are all doing your best. I would like to hear what new determination you made as you commemorated the first anniversary of True Father's Seonghwa. What do you think? I heard you had a strategy meeting for 2020. You must bear in mind that the second anniversary is more important than the first. I am saying that you cannot just relax and feel satisfied now that the first anniversary of True Father's Seonghwa has been conducted.

As people who studied theology, I am sure there are those who clearly know how the Bible came to be compiled. It took several centuries for the Bible to be completed after Jesus' death. Yet, we have everything today. True Parents, who are the hope of God and humanity, have attained perfection and completion. From the beginning, God had hoped for the True Parents, but it took six thousand years for the True Parents to appear on earth.

Look at our reality today. Why do we have to hold a strategy conference for Vision 2020? Haven't the long-awaited Lord at his Second Coming, the Messiah and the True Parents come? Haven't True Parents conducted the providence? My point here is that our reality is not satisfying enough in front of the providence. Heaven certainly keeps working hard without rest and has prepared people. We have assigned strategic nations and have offered intensive dedication and effort; we must see results. We must see the fruit. Do you understand? Hence, we must be confident. Have confidence!

The same applies to Christian history. A prepared top leader.... When the king or the top leader of a country accepted Christianity, blessings came to that country.

A few points about this first Seonghwa anniversary were disappointing. I felt we should have heralded True Parents to the people a bit more. Let us take into consideration the rise of the March 1, 1919 Independence Movement. How was it triggered? Desperate, great men that wanted to restore their nation joined hands and stood up together.

Yes? What about you, the blessed families? Will you conclude everything at just acknowledging your responsibility for living in this age? We must be able to aim higher.... I heard you have set up strategic plans. However, it is essential that this strategy meeting be clearly and properly conducted from a good perspective. Therefore, it is important that we possess an environment and content that can attract both the Korean people and the entire world to the second Seonghwa anniversary.

The seven-year period is neither long nor short. I hope you understand what I am saying. Please do more than your present best. What is that expression about the head?... Wring your head out) That's it. Of course, you need something inside your head to wring out. You all desire to become dedicated children and patriots, but the result will depend on how you conduct your lives and activities in close connection with the heart of Heaven or the heart that thinks of Heaven. This is what matters. You must not just think of conducting your given responsibilities as a formality; you must be more serious and worry about how to achieve success day and night. I don't really know if you actually do so, but I made one determination when I met True Father at the age of seventeen and decided to marry him. The path of the True Parents is not an easy one, but I decided to carry those responsibilities. I made up my mind to finish the entire providence of restoration within my generation. I have run until now with this determination alone in mind.

I would like you all to consider this point: How much do you love True Mother? Do you love True Mother? [Yes] How much do you love True Mother? Oh? As much as heaven and earth? Let us say your wife and I are drowning in water at this very moment. Would you save your wife first? [No] No? [Yes] Can I trust you? [Yes] This heart must be unchanging; yet, we experience many changes in our hearts as we carry on our lives. However, it is my hope that you do not change. As part of our first step, we must restore the nation and world by 2020. Are you determined? [Yes] We must do everything we can to advance on this path.

That is why next year's Seonghwa anniversary must be improved over this year's and we must work harder in the direction of letting more people in the world know about True Father's accomplishments. We must work harder in that direction. With the founding of the Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation, my hope is that the door is opened to special people through the peace prize. We must be able to testify in front of the Korean people and the world about Father's aspects; testify to the kind of life he led; that he was a man who was unable to take care of his family because of the providence and the will; a man completely dedicated. We should be able to testify greatly about Father....

We must be able to reach even those who live deep in the mountains in the provinces and ensure that they also know about True Parents. We must ensure that there is no one who does not know about True Parents. The Korean people and Korean politicians must be able to partake in the frontline of the providence with a heart of gratitude in front of our Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

We did a lot of public relations this time. The reporter's reactions are quite different from the past. They are now trying to report everything as they see it. They also did a good job at covering the events. I checked what was reported and they did a good job. However, these efforts must not end here. You must all begin to prepare for next year, starting now. Do you understand? [Yes] We must be able to touch the hearts of people around the world, so that they all look forward to every future Seonghwa anniversary.

So I will give you all some homework. Your homework is to think of different ways to testify to the world about True Parents and to develop programs that can make people join us on this path and become Cheon Il Guk citizens. Can you do that? [Yes] Those who can surely do that, please clap your hands. [Applause]

The 'First Anniversary of the Universal Seonghwa of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind' was held on 7. 17 by the heavenly calendar, 1st Year of Cheon Il Guk (solar: August 23) from 10:00 am at Cheong Shim Peace World Center.

To attend this memorial ceremony, 25,000 members from around the world came to Cheong Shim Peace World Center and for members in 194 nations there was a live broadcast over the internet.

'True Father is in our hearts loving us', True Mother

The Part 1 of the Memorial Ceremony began with the welcoming address by the MC, Dr. Chang Shik Yang, Chairman of the Unification Movement in Korea. The program was; singing of the Cheon Il Guk Anthem, Opening Prayer, Offering of Flowers, True Father's Life and Work, Memorial Address, Memorial Poem, Presentation of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution and White Paper on Church Assets and ending with True Parents' speech.

The opening prayer was offered by Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., Chair, ACLC which was then followed by offering of flowers by each representative of various fields. The MC also announced to the members attending that they could offer flowers after the event in front of the fountain of Cheong Shim Peace World Center outside.

In his Memorial Address, Dr. Chul Seung Lee, Chairman, Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation, said, 'Without a doubt we mustn't forget what Leader Sun Myung Moon had left us'. Then the Venerable Seong Ta, Head Monk of Bulguk Temple said, 'He lived his life for the salvation of humanity and to create a peaceful world' and that 'Words such as peace activist, idealist, educator and Messiah are inadequate to express Father Moon.' Then Hon. Jose De Venecia, Founding Chairman, International Conference of Asian Political Parties, Philippines, said, 'Let's all try to achieve the ideal peace world that Rev. Moon had tried to achieve'. Then Hey Seon Jeong, Actress and Ambassador for Peace read a moving poem with a title, 'Letter to my father'.

Then it came to the Presentation of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution and White Paper on Church Assets. Rev. Young Hwi Kim, Rev. Jae Suk Lee, and Rev. Joon Ho Seuk presented the Cheon Il Guk Constitution and Peter Hyo Hyul Kim and Rev. No-hi Pak presented the White Paper on Church Assets.

True Mother said, "On this beautiful day, True Father is within the hearts of the VIPs and blessed families from around the world. I sincerely pray that you become children, supporters and children of filial piety to heavenly parents and True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind today".

True Mother shedding tears to the Musical "Crown of Glory"

As for the Part 2 of the Memorial Ceremony there was a singing group by the 'True Grandchildren and Cheon Il Eum Chorus', solo by Gloria Del from Paraguay, Chorus by Sun-hak Choir, Japan, Musical Gala Show 'Crown of Glory, and three cheers of eog-mansei by Rev. Yong Cheon Song, Chairman of the Unification Movement in Japan.

The True Grandchildren and the Cheon Il Eum Chorus sang 'Thinking of my brother', 'Chrysanthemum', and 'Edelweiss'. The Sun-hak Choir from Japan sang a original song called 'filial piety' in Korean and received great applause.

The high light of this memorial ceremony, the Musical 'Crown of Glory' Gala Show was a shorter version of True Parents' Life Course Musical performed at Cheong Shim Peace World Center Opening Ceremony on March 22, 2012. The actors and actresses reappeared once again on stage and performed a high level act. True Mother was watching with tears flowing from her eyes.

After the final performance, True Mother came to the stage and sang songs that True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind loved when he was still alive with the attending 25,000 people. As they were singing, True Father appeared in the large LED screen which made it seem that True Father was there singing with the members.

At the end, all the blessed families offered a bow to True Parents and shouted, 'Thank you True Parents! We love you!' and ended the historical 'The First Anniversary of the Universal Seonghwa of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind'.
