Approximately 160 members from FFWPU HQs, various foundations, those who completed the Top Gun workshops, etc. participated in Hoon Dok Hae, which was held at the 3rd floor of the Cheon Jeong Gung.

After True Mother entered the room at 6:00 am, a bow was offered to True Parents, and then Mrs. McDevitt read Chapter 1: True Parents' Holy Wedding from the 4th Book: True Parents' Holy Wedding and the Creation of the Blessed Families of Cham Boomo Gyeong (which will be published on the occasion of the 2nd Anniversary of True Father's Seonghwa this year. This contains True Parents' life course described in their own words. This will be one of the three scriptures in the era of Cheon Il Guk, together with Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeong Hwa Gyeong)

In her reading, Father said "The mission of the Messiah of the Second Coming is to come as True Father, to find True Mother, and to establish the position of True Parents." Then Mrs. McDevitt read True Father's words given on their Holy Wedding Day, in which Father explained the difficult providential path of Heaven until Heaven had found True Mother. Finally Mrs. McDevitt read Father's prayer to close her reading.

After the reading, True Mother asked who among the participants had joined the Unification Church in 1960s. When she found there were not so many that day, she said "You will have to study hard when 'Cham Boomo Gyeong' is published." True Mother also said "Several months prior to the 2nd anniversary of Father's Seonghwa, three scriptures of Cheon Il Guk were completed. Now they need only to be translated into other languages. Also on the occasion of the 1st Anniversary of Foundation Day, the establishment of Cheon Il Guk constitution was proclaimed. I have provided everything which will be the central teaching and the guidebook for the Blessed families in the future."

After they watched a video clip that contains True Mother's recent words the meeting was concluded at 7:00 am.

Family Federation Chairman, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, was the officiator for the ceremony, which was broadcast by satellite over the Internet to 194 countries. Around 20,000 couples joined the ceremony through live Internet broadcast.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, widow of the former Family Federation Chairman Sun Myung Moon, acted as officiator and directly matched most of the couples in attendance. Many international couples were matched in order to promote cultural exchange.

The Mass Marriage Ceremonies of the Unification Church began in 1961 with 33 couples, and gained international attention in 1992 with the 30,000 couple marriage ceremony at the Jamshil Sports Complex.

Approximately 20,000 new couples from around the world joined in marriage at the Mass Marriage Ceremony yesterday morning, hosted by the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (Unification Church) at the Cheong Shim Peace World Center in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.

Wife of former chairman Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, acted as officiator of the event, which was attended on site by 2,500 couples from 50 countries, including newly matched international couples.

About 20,000 couples from 194 countries also attended the wedding ceremony through Internet broadcast.

Rev. Moon directly matched the couples of the Unification Church until his passing in 2012. This year, Dr. Han directly matched most of the couples herself. Many of the couples discovered the identity of their spouses just days before the ceremony.

The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (Family Federation) held the Commemorative Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day and the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind (Mass Marriage Ceremony) at 10:00 AM on the 12th at the Cheong Shim Peace World Center in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-Do, Korea.

‘Foundation Day’ was first celebrated last year on February 22nd (January 13th by the lunar calendar). This day was proclaimed as the day when Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon inherited the will of the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon, to estalish a world of goodness and teach the world about the nation of God. As the Family Federation celebrates the First Anniversary of Foundation Day, they resolve to stand tall and noble as citizens of their religion.

The highlight of the First Anniversary of Foundation Day was the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony. Around 2,500 couples pledged on site the start of their new families, with 20,000 couples around the world joining them through satellite. The ceremony was broadcast to 194 countries around the world through the Internet.

Prior to this day, starting on the 7th, the Family Federation held a series of events to commemorate the First Anniversary of Foundation Day, starting with the Pure Love Seminar, held on the 7th at 2:00 PM at the Korean Press Center, 19th Floor at Taepyong-Ro, Chung-Gu, Seoul, and followed by the “Realization of an Ideal World Through Korean Religions” seminar held on the 8th at 11:00 AM at the Family Federation Headquarters at Cheongpa-Dong, Yongsan-Gu, Seoul.

On the 9th at 2 PM, at the Gapyeong Cheon Jung Goong Museum, 10 billion won in scholarships was presented to about 2,000 high school, university and Korean exchange students. The International Leadership Conference (ILC) was also held from the 9th to the 13th. On the 11th at 2:00 PM, the ‘2014 Convention for the Reunification of Korea’ commenced at the Baekbomgimgu Memorial Convention Hall at Hyochang-Dong, Yongsan-Gu, Seoul.

The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification held a massive wedding.

On the 12th at 10:00 AM at the Cheong Shim Peace World Center in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-Do, 20,000 participants attended the “Commemorative Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day and 2014 Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.”

During the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony, 2,500 couples from 50 different countries were married on site, and were joined by 20,000 couples, through live Internet broadcast, from 194 countries around the world.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s widow, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, acted as officiator of the ceremony. The opening address was given by Korean Family Federation President Kyeong-Seuk Ryu, followed by the Holy Water Ceremony, the Marriage Vows, Benediction, Exchanging of Gifts and the Proclamation of Marriage.

The Holy Water Ceremony represents the cleansing of one’s life and being reborn anew.

When the officiator read the Marriage Vows, the brides and grooms of the 2,500 couples gathered in the World Center shouted, “Yes” in a resounding chorus. With Dr. Han’s Proclamation of Marriage, the couples took their first steps in creating blessed families who realize the ideal of true love in resemblance to the Creator, the Heavenly Parent. After representative couples presented flower bouquets to Dr. Han, Asian Continental Director Chang-Shik Yang led the audience in three cheers of Eok Mansei to conclude the event.

Chairman of the Editing Committee Young Whi Kim and Vice Chairman Jae Seuk Lee also dedicated the ‘True Parent’s Scriptures,’ one of the Cheon Il Guk Holy Scriptures, at this time.

The True Parents’ Scriptures are a collection of speeches on Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s life, and are one of the Three Holy Scriptures of the Family Federation. The other two, the Cheon Seong Gyeong and the Peace Scriptures, were published previously in June of last year. With the dedication of the True Parents’ Scriptures, the collection of the Family Federation’s representative textbooks is complete.

Dr. Han proclaimed the Cheon Il Guk Constitution.

Cheon Il Guk refers to the ideal world that God wanted to establish and that all of humankind has longed for. The Cheon Il Guk Constitution outlines the path to the ideal world.

Before the ceremony, celebratory performances were given. South American university students performed a Brazilian dance called “Festival,” and youth from South Osaka, Japan, displayed a dance drama titled, “We Are One.” A children’s’ choir also gave a musical performance titled, “Filial Piety.”

We must not miss the heavenly "time"

Seeing the event and hearing the reports on the First Anniversary of Foundation Day, you probably agree that not only the members but the whole world are now paying attention.

I heard from the Continental Director of Asia that our Philippine members have blessed numerous people there. This is a miracle that all humankind in the present age should know about. Hearing this report, all Blessed Families and all members of the Unification Church and the FFWPU must reflect on their past and think how much they were able to accomplish in front of True Parents as filial children, loyal subjects, and divine sons and daughters. It is true that we were able to elevate the position of our church through these events. However, most of the 7 billion people in the world are still unaware of True Parents and their lifelong investments to spread the providence of the Blessing to the world. What do you think of this reality?

There is always a "time" in the history of heavenly providence. Do not miss this "time." After working for many years together with True Parents, you are in a position to bear fruit and receive tremendous blessing at this time. It will be a shame if you end up not fulfilling your responsibility. I am saying that you should not become "shameful ones." Do you understand? "Doing your best" is not good enough.

When you heard True Father's voice (prayer) at the Blessing ceremony, what did you think? Did you like it? Did tears well up in your eyes? Did you feel sorry because we could not bring good results while True Father was still on earth?

You must realize that you have to bring results while I am still on earth. That will make up for the past failures. Since you have grown to maturity, you should already know how to take action and bear fruit in your practice.

We must start a movement to let True Parents' birthday be known to the nation and the world. For the first Foundation Day, we had various events from the 1st through the 13th. This year, after thinking of witnessing and financial situations, we decided to let each continent and country celebrate till the 7th.

I will be happy to see True Parents' birthday celebrated in continents and countries as an international day of celebration from 2015 on. You can make it happen, can't you?

If you realize and appreciate how much True Father loved humankind and invested all his heart and soul till his last moment, our movement of true love and living for the sake of others will surely spread to the whole world.

When we think about it, you should not just sit in a chair and think in your head. I must tell you that this is the time to move forward and take action!

I think tears come to your eyes when you think about True Father. I trust you, and I hope you will do your very best!

Foundation Day and the International Leaders Meeting in Korea

Dear Brothers and Sisters

This is a brief report on the recent trip to Korea (February 10 – 18) for Foundation Day and the International Leaders Meeting.

Thank you to the NY District for sending me. I was especially grateful that, (thanks to an unexpected gift), my wife was also able to accompany me.

First, here is my wife's report:

Imagine 8 days in a foreign country, Korea, surrounded by many people (mostly men) speaking many different languages coming from 99 nations, all leaders of their country or district or region, and all with a story to tell … Well, we listened to 21 of them and we listened to True Mother three times, Young Whi Kim, Dae Mo Nim, Yeon Ah Nim, and an assortment of other international leaders including Bishop [Ki Hoon] Kim, Dr. [Chang Shik] Yang, and our new International Vice President Thomas Hwang. We also did ansoo at a Chung Pyung workshop, played Yute, toured the museum of True Father's Life, visited his burial site, slept on the floor in 4 different locations, ate three meals a day (food from a foreign land – Korea), sang Holy Songs, did Hoon Dok Hae, prayed, did True Father's exercises, rode in buses, walked and even shopped a little. In our spare-time… when we were getting ready for bed… we talked.

The experience was intense, powerful, overwhelming, tremendous, and educational. It was hard, but it was wonderful! We didn't have any beds to sleep on, had to take turns for the sink, and woke up at 4:30 am each day. Still, we were somehow happy.

Do you remember or have you ever had such an experience? Our spirits were uplifted and our minds cleared. It was a most precious, unforgettable way to celebrate the Second Foundation Day of Cheon Il Guk!

I would wish it on you, on anyone who would like to be filled to the brim with God's love. I had no idea what the leader's meetings my husband went to every year would be like. I was not prepared. I didn't feel ready or equipped to be there, but I fit right in. Maybe it was my imagination, but I felt like it was all prepared for me. A crash course in the Unification movement in eight days (including the two days spent on the airplane coming and going). I am so grateful to my husband who said "yes" when I asked and who made the right calls to make it happen. To Rev. [David] Rendell and Dr. Mike Balcomb who cleared it, to Fumiko Balcomb who suggested it and to our Heavenly Parent who did it all.

Thank you so much for listening. I hope this answers your questions about what Rev. Compton does when he leaves us every year for the FFWPU World National Leaders Assembly in Korea. And I hope you will be able to go yourself one day.

I am not going to give this report based on chronological order. I am sorry, but my notes are a bit unclear about the correct time line.

In summary – it was a very positive experience – to meet with and share with brothers and sisters from 99 different countries, each of them deeply committed to our True Parents. The highlight was being able to see and be with True Mother. Her spirit is strong and clear and absolutely determined to move forward in the work of establishing Cheon Il Guk.

Wednesday, February 12, we went to the Palace where we participated in the Opening Ceremony for Foundation Day. There was a beautiful offering table, we said pledge, there was Hoon Dok Hae, and True Mother spoke – a very short message that focused on the motto and the importance of us becoming True Owners. Here is what she said according to our notes:

Please don't forget the motto that I gave you. Please keep it in your mind always and practice it. When the creator created Adam and Eve, in the course of their growth they could converse with God. You need to act and pray to be with me always. You can be the owner yourself.

The Blessing Ceremony:

That was extra special because we were able to take close up photos of our brides and grooms. The most profound part of it was when, for the prayer, they played a previous prayer by True Father. It was quite powerful to hear his voice – giving the Blessing prayer.

The entertainment for the Blessing was taken from the musical "Filial Piety." It was pretty amazing – and very professional. I hope you were able to see it on line.

After the Blessing there was a banquet lunch at the main Cheonpeong Hall – which also included entertainment. In our opinion the American 2nd gen brother Matthew Hill, who sang tenor, was the most amazing. He really made True Mother smile.

Day 2 (Thursday February 13)

We came to the Palace early morning. The program began with prayer followed by the installation of the Supreme Council by True Mother. (In the new Cheon Il Guk Constitution, the Supreme Council is the highest ruling body, consisting of 13 persons). On the council, from USA, are Dr. Tom Walsh and Farley Jones.

True Mother presented the constitution to each of the Continental Directors.

True Mother then sat facing the stage and together with us received reports. They included:

The past and the just concluded Foundation Day. It was noted that from this point forward there will be two main seasons for our movement – one centered on Foundation Day and the other centered on True Father's Seonghwa. By the solar calendar those would be in February and August.

Other Reports: on the Media coverage, UPF, WFWP, and the program that is providing scholarships for the education of our youth (the Won Mo Peace Foundation).

Additional reports were given by continental directors –

Highlights:

Philippines Interfaith Blessing Ceremony – with 13,000 participants. Took place with government support

Taiwan – pro family rally of 300,000 we helped to organize

Indonesia – beginning to open up to our movement

India – 400 members. They built their first church

Brazil, 3,000 members – church is growing. Focusing on education with Divine Principle

Europe – success with youth UPF activities

Next – True Mother spoke. Here are some high lights:

True Mother challenged us – that, because we are lacking in our commitment, the proper environment has not been prepared. (These are just unofficial notes.)

The True owner has come, but we have been lacking in our commitment. FFWPU members have received great fortune – but how much have we acted as true sons and daughters of True Parents. There are still 7 billion people who do not yet know about the Blessing…. Timing in the providence is important. We have to act according to the time. If we fail we will feel ashamed. Our utmost best is not enough. The whole world should celebrate True Parents birthday. The world celebrates Jesus birthday – even though they are not sure of the date. But we do know True Parents birthday. From next year True Parents birthday should be celebrated in each nation as a national festival. If we think how True Father loved humanity on this earth until the final moment when he put his life on the line – with that reality, you should not just sit and use your brain. You have to get up and act. Spirit world will help you. That is my blessing to you.

We visited True Father's grave site (located at the Palace) – where we offered prayers and flowers.

We heard more reports, according to my notes – Seven sessions, with reports covering many topics; Church growth, 2nd gen education, UP Academy, Public asset management, WFWP, Sun Moon University, and more)

The new International Vice-president, Rev. [Thomas] Hwang, spoke. One of his key points: is the need for us to expand horizontally to create the environment, the culture of heart, where our Heavenly Parent can happily dwell with us and our children can safely grow.

The following day, Rev. Young Hwi Kim spoke to us for Hoon Dok Hae. He spoke about overcoming our fallen nature and becoming ideal husband and wife. Happy children come from a happy couple.

We heard more complete reports from the Philippines and from Brazil.

In Brazil they have developed strong Home Groups. Also they are focused on 1-on-1 Divine Principle study witnessing – with good success. The number of Home Groups (their style of small groups) is equal to the number of mid-level leadership. As they raise up new leaders – they are able to start new Home Groups. Each group conducts Hoon Dok Hae, and in each group they make goals for the week – how to put Father's words into practice. They focus on helping people solve their problems (personal problems, family problems, etc.)

In the Philippines – despite the hardship and suffering of recent natural disasters, they have kept making conditions and working towards their goal to bless 30,000 couples. In January they had the blessing with 13,000 people.

True Mother commented on the reports from Brazil and Philippines. (These are not her actual words, just my notes)

We have to let people know that at the center is True Parents. Why do we need True Parents? Because of the fall of Adam and Eve. It took 6,000 years before the words True Parents could appear. You had many opportunities to experience True Parents' heart. But now we must bring result. Through True Parents – how many Blessed Families are there on the earth? If each Blessed family could fulfill their portion of responsibility we would have a much greater foundation. True Mother wants to be able to say – because of you True Parents are liberated, you have set them free.

20-20 Providence report

Korea, Japan, and USA all gave reports

In particular – the tide is changing in Japan. Where a few years ago (2009) – there were over 50 negative articles and one positive, in 2013 there were 18 negative and 35 positive. One factor was True Mother's five city tour. And they have gained 6,000 new members.

From America – Dr. Balcomb introduced our young leadership – who are very impressive. Also, as the elder brother nation, America offered materials that can benefit the work of members throughout the world – in outreach, in the care of Blessed Families.

In addition to all the reports:

True Mother invited us all to play a Yute Game. That was filled with excitement and lots of yelling. (My team took third place, Lydia's team took second)

We attended the 2-day Chung Pyung Workshop. During that time, Dae Mo Nim addressed all the leaders in a special meeting.

On the final day breakout sessions were held in three areas (we could each choose one); Family Issues, Pioneering new churches, and the new Cheon Il Guk Constitution. Lydia attended the Family session and I attended the Constitution session – which was very hopeful (I have a lot to share about the new constitution, but not in this report)

Finally – Lydia and I were able to meet with our 2020 partner nations' leaders (Solomon Islands and Italy for upstate, and Israel and Nepal for Metro NY)

In conclusion – there is a lot that has been left out of this report. The main themes were Church growth and Youth Education. Let's all work together in the coming year of Cheon Il Guk – to raise up our youth, to grow our church, and to make our True Parents really really happy.

I had to come because you prepared so much and were waiting for me. I listened to all of your reports. While listening to the reports given by the national leader of Brazil and the national leader of the Philippines in particular, I thought that nations that could not put as much into practice as they have need to learn from Brazil and the Philippines.

A person must change to be qualified to stand in front of God’s will. The content of the report given by Brazil on home groups and how home group leaders are teaching the Divine Principle and growing alongside the mid-level leaders was good. In addition, if we are to talk about the Philippines, regarding the Blessing Ceremonies, members could fulfill their responsibility toward witnessing and the tribal messiah mission. That is also good. The different nations in the world each have a feature unique to them. I have observed the Philippines for a long time and I believe that the movement they are conducting was well chosen. In the end, what matters is letting people know that Heaven’s providence has settled on earth and that Cheon Il Guk has begun regardless of the method. However, you must let them know that True Parents are at its center.

Why does God need True Parents? As a result of human history having gone wrong, Adam and Eve—who were supposed to become the True Parents—became false parents, thus the satanic world resulted. Heaven had to make painstaking efforts when he originally didn’t need to, because humans failed to fulfill their responsibility. The providence of restoration, the providence of restoration through indemnity... The tremendous difficulty of this providence is hard to express in words; that is why it took six thousand years as recorded in the Bible.

It wasn’t easy. We learned from True Parents how Heaven worked hard until the word “True Parents” came to be formed. I believe that you, as those in charge of nations and regions, have had many opportunities to experience True Parents’ heart. The problem, however, is that we are not putting this into action at this point. We must make results.

Rev. Kyeong-seuk Lu, president of FFWPU-Korea, just talked about the Christian thinking in his congratulatory remarks. The Unification Church or the Family Federation for World Peace, which has True Parents at its center…. (Do you have to keep flashing that light at me—you the person taking photos? I cannot speak because of the blinding light.) When I talk and something interrupts the middle of the talk, I end up forgetting what I want to say.

Now, what was I talking about? I was about to talk about the history of the Unification Church and not that of Christianity, True Parents’ history. True Parents have taught you all the basics during their lifetimes. There are many families blessed by True Parents around the world, right? Even though True Father has ascended, what kind of foundation do you think we would have had if every single blessed member and family fulfilled their responsibility? Would it have been bigger or smaller than it is today? Of the seven billion people on earth, around five billion would have known, right? I would like to think that way. However, this is somewhat pathetic. Do I have to scold you for not fulfilling your responsibility? If you had results that could move one nation, three, four to ten nations, True Father would have said he had accomplished the actual settlement of Cheon Il Guk and would have been able to obtain more freedom through us in his last moments.

However, we did not hear him say that. I would like to ask a favor of you. I sincerely hope that you can help True Mother, True Parents, in obtaining freedom. Whenever I set up one of you and talk to the person, I realize again how precious you are and how proud I am of you. You are all proud children of True Parents and I want to boast of you all! Do you feel great?

The national leader of Brazil, do you give sermons in Korean? [No] In what language do you give your sermons then? [In Portuguese] Then when did you learn Korean? [I studied Korean as a foreign student and CARP member in the Korea University language school in 1991 and lived in one of the CARP centers.] Can you speak Korean so well just from studying it then? [My wife is Korean.] He understood everything and did not miss a single word at all. To just do it that way, to just do it; these are truly precious words. There is a difference among you, because you did not do it, you did not try. You just have to do it! Will you do it or not? After this program ends, you’ll be having lunch, right? Today is the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. The fifteenth day.... I am not sure whether this saying exists in other countries, but today, when people look up at the moon, they say that the clouds are clearing up. While looking up at the moon, people eat nuts such as peanuts, walnuts and pine nuts and believe that they are stepping on the spirits of the earth. To see whether the moon comes out this evening, I was thinking of playing yute. According to the weather report, however, the moon may not come out; it is expected to be cloudy in the evening.

I know that you have a schedule, but we will play yute together after lunch. Yute is part of the Korean culture. You played many yute games while True Father was still alive, right?

When playing yute, a team of several people truly become one without any pretense. This is important. We could say that people act this way because of their common goal to win; however, what matters is that once teams are formed, they become one. What we should always bear in mind when we come together to listen to good examples and learn from them is how to properly continue True Parents’ tradition and that it is important to become one with our Heavenly Parent and True Parents in a straight line.

As leaders coming from both the East and West, please consider this game a way for all races to become one and return joy and the Holy Spirit to Heaven. In addition, you can become one as you attend our Heavenly Parent within nature and feel grateful in front of True Parents’ love. This is precious. Now, how much prize money do you think I have prepared for the game? Yes? [Mother lifted the bag of prize money.] This is heavy. Now accept this. I hope you fight hard and that goodness wins. The winning team will probably receive twenty million won.

First Anniversary of the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day Commemoration Ceremony and the 2014 Cosmic Blessing Ceremony

The most biggest and most important festival in all of history, the First Anniversary of the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day Commemoration Ceremony and the 2014 Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind, successfully took place on January 13th in the 2nd year of Cheon Il Guk at 10:00 AM by the Heavenly Calendar (February 12th), at the Cheong Shim Peace World Center. About 20,000 blessed family members from around the world were in attendance.

Dedication of the True Parents’ Scriptures and Proclamation of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution

The True Parents’ Scriptures were dedicated during the First Anniversary of the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day Commemoration Ceremony. The True Parents’ Scriptures are the final installment in the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures, and are the life and will for the foundation for Cheon Il Guk. The Cheon Il Guk Constitution was proclaimed with the deep meaning that it would become the system and standard for the substantial Cheon Il Guk.

After True Father’s ascension, True Mother began compiling together the 3 Holy Scriptures in order to establish the foundation for the substantial Cheon Il Guk. On the foundation of the Cheon Seong Gyeong and Peace Scriptures last year, and in commemoration of the First Anniversary of the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day, Editing Committee Chairman Young-Whi Kim and Vice Chairman Jae-Seuk Lee dedicated True Parents’ Scriptures to the True Parents of Heaven and Earth. The True Parents’ Scriptures are a compilation of True Parents’ words based on their life and achievements, together with the Cheon Seong Gyeong and the Peace Scriptures, complete the Holy Scriptures of Cheon Il Guk. Now that the Holy Scriptures are complete, they will become required reading not only for Unification Church members, but for the entire world.

The Constitution of Cheon Il Guk, which outlines the system and the standard of Cheon Il Guk, was dedicated and proclaimed. After Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day last year, True Mother gave direction for the Cheon Il Guk Constitution to be quickly established. On the First Anniversary of True Father’s Ascension last year, the basic draft was proclaimed, and afterwards, the basic laws were established. Today, in commemoration of the First Year Anniversary of the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day, the Constitution was officially dedicated and proclaimed.

True Parents received the dedication of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution, which will become the eternal foundation for Cheon Il Guk, from Hyo-Jin Nim’s and Heung-Jin Nim’s families. They then announced the 12 Supreme Council members, who will comprise the legislative body under the Constitution of Cheon Il Guk.

The 12 Supreme Council Members include Moon Hyo-Jin Nim’s family, Moon Heung-Jin Nim’s family, Hyo-Nam Kim (Dae Mo Nim), Kyeong-Seuk Lu (Korean President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), Young-Whi Kim (36 Couples Blessing, Cheon Il Guk Scriptures Editing Committee Chairman), Jae-Seuk Lee (36 Couples Blessing, Cheon Il Guk Scriptures Editing Committee Vice Chairman), Jin-Choon Kim (President of the Cheong Shim Graduate School of Theology), Yong- Cheon Song (Japanese President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), Hideo Oyamada (43 International Couples Blessing, President of the Federation of Peace and Unification), Ki- Hoon Kim (North American President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), Farley Jones (777 Couples Blessing, Former American Unification Church President), and Dr. Thomas Walsh (2075 Couples Blessing, UPF International President). Centering on Moon Hyo-Jin Nim’s and Moon Heung Jin Nim’s families representing the True Family, Young-Whi Kim, Jae-Seuk Lee, Hideo Oyamada and Farley Jones were all chosen as representative elders of Korean, Japanese and American members. Kyeong-Seuk Lu, Yong-Cheon Song, Ki-Hoon Kim and others were chosen as the representatives of the current national and continental directors to complete the Supreme Council of Cheon Il Guk.

Proceedings of the 2014 Cosmic Blessing by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind

The 2014 Cosmic Blessing by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind was held after the Commemoration Ceremony. Kyeong-Seuk Lu, Korean President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, presided over the event. Heavenly Parent and The True Parents of Heaven and Earth carried out a grand ceremony in which the handsome couples that transcended race, nationality and culture, were all reborn together as Cheon Il Guk blessed families. On this day, about 18,400 beautiful participants from 43 countries were in attendance on site, and were joined through satellite broadcast by 20,000 couples, with 23,800 couples from around the world registering their families through the blessing of heaven.

The beautiful couples and blessed families all gave a round of applause for True Parents’ entrance, which was followed by by the Holy Water Ceremony. True Mother asked the couples during the wedding vows, “Do you, as men and women who are to consummate the ideal of the creation of God, pledge to inherit the tradition of the True Parents of Heaven and Earth, and consummate an ideal family that aspires to bring about Cheon Il Guk?” The participating brides and grooms took the first leap into their new true families centered on true love when they shouted in a joyful chorus, “Yes!”

The benediction was given by True Father, from a Blessing that he had presided over previously. The grace of the ceremony seemed to swell throughout the Cheong Shim Peace World Center as True Father’s benediction echoed throughout the venue. The brides and grooms shed tears, moved by True Father’s prayer, and the blessed families reflected on their own blessings and resolved anew to create ideal families.

After True Parents’ benediction and the exchanging of the rings, True Mother read the Proclamation of Marriage. In gratitude for the Proclamation of Marriage, representative couples ascended the stage and offered flowers and gifts to the True Parents of Heaven and Earth. Congratulatory performances were offered as the finale of the event. The celebratory performance was a musical prepared by Cheong Shim, titled, “Filial Piety.”

Mr. Lambos of Greece reflected happily, “As I child, I always longed in my heart for Korea, the homeland of faith. I am so grateful that I was able to meet a Korean wife at this blessing and that we were chosen as the representatives to offer the flower bouquets to True Parents. It is an honor that I will cherish and never forget for my entire life.”
