Celebrating Fifty Years of Missionary Outreach in Europe

Beloved blessed family members, leaders who have gathered here from across Europe, ladies and gentlemen: My warm greetings to all of you members that have gathered here from around the world to commemorate this time today. I came here today with a fluttering heart -- with the heart a parent experiences when visiting a daughter after sending her off to marriage fifty years earlier, the heart felt when visiting a son that had left home.

Heaven’s providential history was one of sadness and suffering. In the beginning, God began his creation and created the first human beings to realize his great dream. He also bestowed responsibility on the first humans. Yet, they went off track and could not be achieve God’s great dream.

The beginning and end of our Almighty God are the same. Hence, he cannot leave a failure alone. For this reason, Heaven worked for the long period of six thousand years as expressed in the Bible to enlighten people. How sad and excruciating was that course? It took four thousand years to find and establish a people within the fallen world. Why was it so hard? That was because they were unaware of the fact that all mistakes must be indemnified.

God sent the Messiah through the Israelites. Many religions have existed, but only Jesus explained the relationship between Heaven and human beings to be that of father and child. He said he was God’s only begotten son, born with no ties to the fallen world. A miracle-like providence would have unfolded in front of fallen humanity; yet, what happened?

He was crucified. He died on the cross. After this, the Christian providential history took two thousand years. Though there are many Christians, they are unaware of God’s providence. Christianity, which began through the descent of the Holy Spirit in Mark’s upper room, unfolded for two thousand years. Whenever I visit Europe, my heart is always heavy.

Christianity and Christian culture bloomed centered on Europe. Though it faced many difficulties, it is through Europe that Christianity expanded its foundation; nevertheless, what has happened?

I will use an example from the Bible. The people within the fallen world are described as wild olive trees and these wild olive trees desire to become cultivated olive trees. An interesting point is that for the tree to function normally, it must grow roots for the long period of fifteen years.

When you go to Israel or elsewhere in the Middle East, you will find many olive trees that are older than two thousand years. The Middle East is a barren land. Hence, it takes fifteen years for an olive tree to endure the climate and deeply sink its roots.

Please contemplate this. Providential history does not stop. It does not wait for the right time either. It keeps moving ahead. That is why it took the long period of six thousand years. We have passed the Old Testament Age and the New Testament Age. What age are we living in today? We are living in the Completed Testament Age, in which we attend True Parents and live their teachings. What is happening to the Completed Testament Age? It is developing into Cheon Il Guk.

We must reveal the truth. For the wild olive trees in the fallen world to become cultivated olive trees, they must meet the true owners. The true owners are none other than the True Parents. You must change your bloodline through True Parents. You must be newly born and resurrected. In other words, you must receive the blessing. That is why you must achieve blessed families, true families.

When we observe European culture, there are many stories similar to those of the Unification Church. Christian culture, which began empty-handed, has led the past two thousand years. What did Jesus say he would do upon his advent? He said he would hold the marriage supper of the Lamb. In other words, it meant that he would emerge as the True Parents to save fallen humanity.

Unfortunately, Christian culture still dwells within the New Testament Age. We are quite ahead of them. The history of missionary work in Europe now covers fifty years. If we compare that to one lifetime, we have lived more than half our life. Now what are we to do? You were able to grow deep roots in this land during the past fifty years. No force can get rid of you anymore. The roots you have grown will remain strong until the day you achieve the hope of Heaven and of humankind. Blessed families! Why have we gathered here today? We must get away from a monotonous life, in which tomorrow is the same as yesterday. We must reveal the truth. You must awaken European Christians, who are unaware that the returning Messiah, who is to come amidst the Christian cultural sphere, has emerged as the True Parents and that for fifty years they have accomplished amazing things.

As of today, a new cultural revolution will arise on this continent. I sincerely hope that you become proud Unification Church blessed families that fulfill their responsibilities and hasten the day that all people become one family that attends our Heavenly Parent and True Parents. Do you agree? It took two thousand years for the Christian culture, which arose centered on Europe, to establish its foundation on the global level. As we reflect again on the past fifty years, how should the Unification Church civilization move in this era after the coming of Heaven? Are you confident?

Please remember that you must continue to grow roots that are big and wide and go deep until you breathe your last. Now that we do not have much time left until 2020, I came with the heart that I will graft the Christian cultural sphere -- which has endured the past two thousand years with a heart desperate to meet the returning Messiah as their last ray of hope -- to True Parents’ true love. I am establishing Cheonji Seonhak Won for this purpose. What then should you all do? You must reveal to all people of the world, who are living amidst ignorance and clinging to the past, that blessed families of the Unification Church are beacons and can bear the fruit of hope for the future.

Cranes Club Kicks Off in Europe

European Unificationists welcomed True Mother to the continent on her recent visit to Vienna, Austria to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Unification Movement in Europe. After her message on the morning of May 10, 2015, True Mother joined young professionals at the Cranes Club gathering at the Hilton Hotel in Vienna. Over 400 young professionals attended the networking and development event, traveling up to 50 hours to get to Vienna. One participant, Toya Nomura even came from Washington, D.C. “I think it was really beautiful how everything was put together. True Mother really cares for every one of us, and she really sees us as family, as her children,” he said.

Participants were able to meet other professionals, learn from and discuss with others in their respective industries including the arts, humanities, medical and many other fields.

“Today was very impressive, just to see all these people from all around Europe is very unique,” shared Luke from France. “What I got out of this event was the knowledge that I have many great peers in Europe, and I got strength from that.”

Presentations began with the vision of Cranes Club in Europe and the purpose of the event. Participants shared thoughts and ideas a few weeks before the event, which helped coordinators prepare and set the schedule and topics. Their main purpose and topic of this meeting with True Mother was “Making the Crane Club Fly.”

“The mission of the Cranes Club is to create a space for professionals to network within their professional background,” said participant Bogdan Pammer.

Other presentations included a review of special initiatives going on in Europe, including a presentation by Michael Rawlence on a project called “The 3rd Blessing Website.” The participants were enthusiastic about the vision of Cranes Club, and eager to collaborate with their peers on ways to stay connected and work together.

Before True Mother addressed the group, the participants raised their hands as different industries were called out, identifying themselves by profession as a way for the group to get a sense of everyone’s backgrounds. Brief testimonies from young working professionals followed the introductions.

“I have to continually remind myself of my motivation,” said one of the participants. “Is it about making money, or is it about my own worth, or popularity? I think ultimately imagination has to come about with true love, and I want to bring joy through beauty. I think in all of our industries we have to try and be revolutionaries.”

The highlight of the event was this personal connection with True Mother facilitated by the engaging and intimate atmosphere. In her address she emphasized the purpose of the organization as a platform for all young Unificationists, whether they are closely connected or have been distanced from the community for any length of time.

“Cranes Club is a way for young Unificationists to connect using their expertise, to come together and create something beautiful together,” described Benedict Jenson from Germany. “We should work as a team because throughout our life we are all connected.”

“The idea is for professionals with different background to get together and build a culture of heart, for example by doing good through projects,” said one participant from Finland. “I think it’s a really good opportunity for people who have good ideas to move forward and with determination. This Cranes Club meeting was the closest experience I’ve had with True Mother as a young Unificationist. It gave me the feeling that True Mother is thinking about us like, what we are doing, how are we, and how we can develop the world.”

Toward the end of the day, participants broke up into smaller groups related to their industry and brainstormed ideas on how to move forward. Though True Mother established the umbrella organization of Cranes Club, she hopes that the young adults will take it upon themselves to build and develop local networks based on their own needs and vision. Participants discussed and filled out a questionnaire to identify the priorities they found most important for the Cranes Club to focus on in the next two years. A few of the senior participants will form a committee to prepare the legal establishment and the official European launch of Cranes Club. It was inspiring to see the initiative and enthusiasm of all of the participants in creating this organization from the bottom up.

The group also enjoyed musical entertainment with True Mother getting into the spirit by singing a rendition of “Edelweiss,” in which the entire auditorium joined in. This beautiful song about the Austrian flower reflected the sense of a pure, heart connection experienced among the Cranes Club members of Europe and with True Mother, as one family.

Dear respected elders. Beloved brothers and sisters. We gather today absolutely centered on our Heavenly Parent and our Beloved True Parents.

Thank you very much for joining this special program in honor of the 50 year history of our movement here in Europe. I am deeply moved and honored to be here with you today to celebrate this treasured legacy.

I have the daunting task of introducing True Mother. How does one even begin? Never in the history of humankind has there ever been a more beautiful, loving, gracious, and compassionate being on earth. True Father has said on many occasions how True Mother’s eternal beauty resides in her loving, faithful and generous heart. He also proudly and lovingly praised her often for her grace, her kindness, and her stunning feminine beauty that has brought so much joy to us all.

When I reflect on women throughout history, there is no one who compares with True Mother when it comes to internal and external character. She is without peer. Some may point to Helen of Troy whose mythic beauty caused men to lust and fight. However, if that is the standard for beauty, then it is a sad role model.

True Mother is far removed from such a worldly standard. She sets a standard for true and eternal beauty, as the embodiment of true love. Such true love has the capacity to melt the hearts of humankind, inspiring us to love one another and build a world of peace, joy and prosperity for all of God’s children.

Apart from her physical beauty and elegance, True Mother’s internal value and significance are infinitely great. Thus, we stand here today in the presence of the greatest woman in the history of all humankind. We stand here together attending the absolute example of a true person, who has completed everything. She, in complete unity with our True Father, has given us all true love, true life and true lineage. She absolutely attended True Father for more than 52 years with absolute love, absolute faith and absolute obedience. She is the only woman to ever completely fulfill the course of restoration for all womankind. She is absolutely and completely victorious. Together with our beloved True Father, she has liberated all of humankind to receive the Holy Blessing. They have lit the path for all to achieve salvation and peace.

We stand today in the presence of our Heavenly Parent’s true daughter, a gift of grace, true love, and goodness. She is the absolute standard of a true filial daughter of our Heavenly Parent.

As you know, True Mother is my physical mother, and of course she is the physical mother of my 13 other siblings. However, even more importantly, she is our True Mother and, in this respect, she is our source of salvation, our guiding light, our guru, and our queen leading us out of darkness, suffering and indemnity, to a world of everlasting peace, true love, and prosperity for all.

May we emulate, honor, and uphold True Parents’ beautiful legacy as true filial sons and daughters of our True Parents.

True Mother taught me two Korean expressions that can lead us to true peace and joy. These are “Kamsahamnida” and “Saranghamnida.” They mean “thank you” and “I love you.” She said if there is anything we should teach the future generations, it is to live life with this kind of grateful and loving heart. I love you, and I am eternally grateful to True Mother and all of you here today celebrating this historic event.

Before I say more about True Mother I want to express my deep appreciation to each and every one of you. You, especially the elder members, have lived lives of faithful attendance to True Parents. You have followed in their footsteps and helped pave the way for us to stand today on this victorious foundation in Europe. Even though you often faced prejudice, persecution and opposition you have been victorious with absolute faith, love and obedience. I am eternally grateful and honored to be here together with you and to be part of this tour with True Mother. I pray that our Heavenly Parent and our True Father may eternally bless you and your precious families.

True Mother

I stand before you today with a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation for our True Mother. Only when we understand our true origin, the beginning of all true life, can we inherit and carry out our duty as filial sons and daughters in honor of our True Parents. Therefore, we must know our true history of true love, true life and true lineage. We must become absolutely one with True Parents and with their sacred words, so that we never lose our way. True Mother distilled volumes of texts to bring us a clearer more purified word, in the three holy texts. In Cham Bumo Gyeong we can gain so much deep insight about our True Parents and, on that basis, we can sincerely emulate their glorious lives. I just want to share some of that amazing history with you.

Our True Mother has lived her life with a clear vertical attendance to our Heavenly Parent throughout her life.

Her responsiveness to Heavenly Parent’s providential Will has been the constant thread that runs throughout her life. Prior to meeting our True Father, True Mother was nurtured and protected by Heaven. Her mother, Dae Mo Nim raised True Mother as the only begotten daughter of God, not simply as her physical daughter. Dae Mo Nim had received guidance from Heaven telling her that True Mother was to be the bride of the messiah.

Heaven protected our True Mother during the perilous time of Japanese occupation and the rise of North Korean communism, culminating in the Korean War. So many times she could have been killed or prevented from going forward, but she remained under Heaven’s protection.

Then, miracle of miracles, she met True Father. Think about it. True Mother was just a young girl of 16. How could she possibly have had the external wisdom and maturity to enter into this relationship at such a young age? Knowing True Father’s position, we cannot begin to imagine that his Blessing with True Mother was some accident; rather, she is our miracle. It was heavenly destiny, and vertical duty that guided True Mother.

From 1960, True Mother lived day and night with True Father, for over 52 years. Can you imagine living one day with True Father? I heard from many leaders who told me that when Father visited their nation, they could never rest for a moment, and when he departed, they would collapse with exhaustion.

Just imagine True Mother’s situation, in attending True Father without any break over 52 years. When I asked True Mother how she survived and gracefully endured her history of indemnity, she said in her heart and in her soul she always knew her mission; it wasn’t taught to her by any elder. She knew her inner voice. It was Heavenly Parent’s voice and she completely followed it no matter what. While writing this speech I came to understand more deeply that I am in the presence of a woman who has divinely mastered her mind-body relationship, and fully developed her conscience. She bases every decision on her true love for our Heavenly Parent, her true love for True Father, and her true love for all humanity. I am always in awe of our True Mother and we are so blessed to have her here on earth! She is still young and strong. Her health is improving day by day as she keeps a strict schedule of exercise. Her mantra of living for the sake of others, LFSO, includes the goal-set to live Longer, Faster, Stronger, and Onward! Even though I am decades younger than True Mother, I find it hard to keep up with her. She has a divine constitution and is the source of inspiration for us all!

I completely respect and bow down before True Mother. She has the full authority of True Parents, the complete harmony and authority with our True Father. They are completely one, and indivisible.

Neither Heavenly Parent nor True Father could fulfill the providence of True Parents without True Mother fulfilling her own portion of responsibility. As True Father completed everything, so has True Mother. That is why we can stand here blessed and graced by Heavenly Parent.

It is due to her amazing life and sacrifice that any of us, the True Children, or blessed family members could be born. But as her physical and spiritual children we must study with even more sincerity about our true origin, and unite completely with our True Parents. Only in this way can we fulfill our mission as their true filial sons and daughters.

I will do my very best to attend and serve our True Mother and True Father as one completed couple. I hope we as one family can join together and grow to honor our True Parents. I believe this is the very best way we can honor True Father’s legacy, and the legacy you are building in your own lives.

Each one of us is here today because of True Parents; they are our absolute origin. Our marriages, our families, our understanding of God’s providence, and even our achievements in life are all indebted to the life, love and sacrifice of True Parents.

True Mother has come to Europe to express her deep love and appreciation to each one of you, and to guide us in the way we must go to fulfill our portion of responsibility and achieve all that Heavenly Parent and True Parents have hoped for, a nation of cosmic peace and unity, Cheon Il Guk. We are blessed to be in her presence and have this precious opportunity to receive her message today.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, it is my great honor to invite you all to rise at this time and give a warm, loving and powerful European welcome to our True Mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon!!!!

• I missed you. Did you miss me?
• You are different. Finally, after 6,000 years, you were born as pure water. You exist because of True Parents. Pure water must purify the dirty water; to do so, it must flow, which means witness, testify about True Parents and tell the truth about True Parents.
• Example of the crane and the monarch butterfly: cranes are not greedy birds. They eat 1/7 of their stomach’s capacity yet they fly above the Himalayas. Monarch butterflies fly 5,000 miles; they go on a journey they did not learn about.
• We must learn from nature.
• You need to learn Korean. Many 2nd gens learned Korean in 8 months and wrote me tearful letters.
• Korean dance and song are elegant and beautiful.
• Please learn as much as possible and develop your abilities to the fullest extent possible.
• Please contribute to the task of testifying about True Parents.
• Do not worry about issues in the True Family. They have their responsibility, which is to unite with True Parents.
• All second generations must learn from Hyo Jin Nim and Heung Jin Nim’s example of filial piety.

I am glad to see you. You are the first ones to be born as pure water in six thousand years. Do you realize that? Your parents had to go through the providence of restoration so their Marriage Blessings were quite complicated, but that’s not true of you. Do you understand that? You should be grateful for it.

The world is not in its normal state. The desire of the wild olive tree is to become a true olive tree, but a wild olive tree cannot become a true olive tree on its own. The owner must come and engraft it. This is reality. The wild olive tree must deny itself and be engrafted onto the true olive tree, this is the purpose of the Holy Marriage Blessing. Do you understand that?

Human history has been under Satan’s authority until now. That’s why True Parents have opened a new world. How grateful are you? How hard must it have been? It took six thousand years. Human history itself actually took longer but providential history, as recorded in the Bible, took six thousand years. Think about that. For you to focus for one or two years is difficult, isn’t it? How hard must it have been for God? God invested His whole heart in creating human beings, expecting that the next day would be the day that all His hopes and dreams would come true. Yet what happened?

The first humans shattered God’s hope. God gave them the responsibility of a great blessing, but they failed to fulfill their responsibility. God said wait. I will bless the two of you in marriage when the time is right. Until then, your responsibility is to have absolute obedience, to share one heart, one body and one mind-set with Me. If they had fulfilled their responsibility, all would have been well. So why did they become so ambitious before the time was right?

I named this club the Cranes Club. The crane is the national bird of Cheon Il Guk, but everyone should look to the crane’s life as a role model. The crane is the longest living creature in the Orient and receives the most love. Chinese people often talk about dragons but a dragon is an imaginary creature. As you know, the crane is without greed. Sparrows will keep eating even though they are full. Perhaps that is why they are not very big. Yet the crane will always only eat 70 percent of what it can eat, which is why it can fly so high and live so long. You need to become like the crane. Greed is bad in all forms. That is why we emphasize living for the benefit of others.

Many religions around the world talk about love. Nevertheless, no one has taught how to practice this and how to live it. True Parents perfected, completed, and finalized God’s providence of restoration for the first time in six thousand years. You are the result, pure water made through True Parents. If you go where the water is muddy, you have to purify it. You have to purify it with your pure water wherever you go.

I am saying your root is different. Original root! Original root! Your roots are different. If you live life practicing True Parents’ teachings, what will happen to the environment around you? It will become cleaner, and that clean environment will spread wider, and in the end all clans will become one, all tribes will become one and the whole world will become one.

History will show the value and importance of you and your parents, who live in the same era as True Parents. Hence, you have a lot to learn. I began this European tour to meet you and to train good leaders that can bear good fruit. It would be wonderful if you were all able to be in that position, not only for True Parents’ sake but for your tribe and your country’s sake.

Europe has an especially good culture within the Christian providence but lacks purpose. There is no purpose. The start was unclear so they did not know why the Messiah should return nor why the returning Lord should hold the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Christians do not understand. Nobody knew that the true owner, true God, Heavenly Parent, is our parent and owner. True parents taught us that.

The best position to be in to create one world is to situate yourselves where you can closely receive True Parent’s tradition. God is our parent, and if True Parents are the True Parents, you have to know True Parents’ teachings. That is how the world can become one.

I visited Switzerland before coming here. We could not climb the highest mountain there, but I climbed one that was over three thousand meters tall and prayed deeply. There, we met a person who welcomed us because we are Asian and who began to talk with our group. He said he could speak foreign languages, including some Korean. He mentioned that he likes Korean because it is easy to learn. That is true. Many languages do not have a written form. They can speak it, but they have no alphabet. In some countries, people are using hangul as their alphabet. [In October 2013, the London-based Economist magazine reported, “Cia-Cia, an ethnic minority in Indonesia, has adopted hangul to record its Malayo-Polynesian language.”] Hangul is the ideal; it is scientific and can represent any sound.

No Western alphabet is able to render sounds similar to the sounds of animals, but hangul can express them accurately. God prepared this tribe through providential history for a long time in order to send True Parents. You cannot refute this, can you?

Is there anyone who attended the Little Angels performance yesterday or today? Aren’t those children pretty? They have ballet in the West, and True Father founded the Universal Ballet Company, but Eastern dance, Korean dance, has something deep. It tells a story. The more you learn about Korean culture, the more you would say, Wow! Heavenly Parent could not help finding this country called Korea.

Learning comes quickly at your age; if you commit yourselves, it is quick. Many students at Sun Moon University received Wonmo scholarships. They have only been studying Korean for eight months, but they wrote me beautiful letters that overwhelmed me with tears. Think about it. You can do that, can’t you? They were such beautiful letters.

Many second-generation Unificationists from around the world have come to study in Korea. What do you think will happen when they spread out across the world in a year or two? Don’t you all think that the environment within our second generation is narrow? Even if we do nothing we will flourish. We will grow because we have ample nutrition. We know the start and the finish, and we know what the eternal world will be like after living here on earth.

It is not easy to live for more than a hundred years on earth. How old do you think I am? How old am I? I am much older than seventy. How old are you? You look, at most, around forty years old. Are there any brothers or sisters in their forties here? Anyone? Europe is a bit behind. If you think about Hyo Jin, he would already be over fifty. Many in our second generation are over fifty. What do you think the world will be like in fifty years? We will have to change a bit, won’t we?

I was in the middle of talking about cranes. White-naped cranes fly over the Himalayas. The Himalayas are over eight thousand meters high. How can such a small bird do that? Going over four thousand meters is hard, but they fly over eight thousand meters to prepare for winter. The white-naped crane is one type of crane.

Do you know that monarch butterflies only weigh .5 grams? Without a compass, they fly over five thousand kilometers from southern Canada to Mexico to breed and reproduce. Think about it, who taught them how to do that? They did not learn to fly that distance from their parents. How do they know to fly back to their home? They are so small, not even three centimeters. Even with such small bodies, they follow God’s principle of creation. Only human beings erred.

After six thousand years, you are the first to be born without any connection to Satan. Therefore, you have to be different from others. Don’t be influenced by the secular world. You must become clear water that purifies the world. In order to do that, you have to know your original root. In relation to True Parents, you must be filial and loyal like Hyo Jin. In order to follow that path you must study hard, make great effort and develop expertise so you can create the culture of heart.

Your parents are over sixty or seventy years old now. You are our only hope for the future. Would it work for “hope” to wander around instead of becoming like a lighthouse? Small creatures know their path so clearly; you must be better than the monarch butterfly or the white-naped crane. You can learn many things from nature. The natural world that God created did not fall. You must not break the laws of nature.

You have a lot to do starting now. Natural disasters are occurring all around the world now. Recently a volcano erupted in Chile. In Nepal, many casualties resulted due to the recent earthquakes. We have a large church building there, near the capital where the earthquake of 7.8 magnitude on the Richter scale occurred. Fortunately, all blessed families were out at a park for a Marriage Blessing Ceremony. Not one person died. Not one was even injured.

This is how God loves us. The Philippines and Japan were like that. Our church buildings and our blessed families were unharmed, except for one pastor who died in the Philippines. He had gone to check on the church building when a hurricane suddenly came. That happened while he was fulfilling his responsibility.

Do you know about Mission Butterfly? Many people sacrificed themselves, but that was necessary indemnity to purify the fallen world. Yes, we have grown these past fifty years. We have planted deep roots, haven’t we? So, you healthy and bright young people need to unite with your parents and take responsibility for True Parents and our Heavenly Parent’s will.

To True Parents, the world’s seven billion people are our children. We are True Parents. I know that you cannot understand some things in the True Parents’ Family. Our children, born of True Parents, also have responsibility, as did Adam and Eve. They are responsible for their own growing process. They have to unite with True Parents. If they cannot do that, they will have failed their responsibility. Tradition centers on True Parents, so before I am their physical parent, I am the True Parent of the world’s seven billion people. Isn’t that right? I follow the way of the Divine Principle, because I am the True Parent. I am not partial to even my own family. You have to understand that.

True Parents never existed in history. Your responsibility is to become a filial son or daughter of True Parents. I prepared this place because I want to embrace all of you as my filial sons and daughters.

(It is hard for you to understand, but because I am over seventy years old, standing too long hurts my knees.) I hope you become a light for the world. When I look at you, I hope that all the world’s people, whether they be in the first or second generation or generations to come, follow your bright light and become people of Cheon Il Guk who are part of True Parents’ providence.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the Unification Movement had no foundation. Do you know what True Father said at that time? He likes mountains of course, but he likes the ocean more. Father suffered a lot in Busan in the early days and did a lot of historic work there. Whenever he went by the ports (and they were especially big in Busan and so many large boats came in) he would say to the members, Wait and see; the day is not far off when people from all around the world will come here to see the True Parents. Try to imagine it.

I am building the Cheon Ji Seon Hak Won (Museum) in order to fulfill that desire. It will have the most advanced architecture and a cutting-edge design. People will forever come and enjoy it; they will be able to see it exactly as it is for the next one thousand or even two thousand years. I will use this masterpiece to introduce True Parents to the world.

That is possible in Korean culture. How? Paintings need restoration as time goes by. However, Korea has na jeon chil gi [a jewelry box]. They paint it in various colors, lacquer it and inlay mother of pearl. The lacquer is permanent, lasting a long time. Only Asian cultures have it; only Korea and Japan, but it started in Korea. If we build a masterpiece of that type, many artists and anyone curious will come one by one to see it. I am making a place that people cannot help but visit.

I want you to help me. Please, develop your talents and expertise. Protect your purity. Grow up healthy and beautiful. Become the beautiful fruit of our Unification culture. If you do these things, I will feel so happy to have come and spoken to you. Heavenly Parent has been suffering for six thousand years, wandering around after having lost His and Her children; I am carrying that inside me. I want you to comfort me. Will you do that? [Yes]

Therefore, I will reemphasize that you have to center on your elder brothers Hyo Jin and Heung Jin. Heung Jin went to the spiritual world first. He was the son that went on adventures at such a young age to protect Father during the Cold War. The security guards at East Garden know this story. He was the one that tried more than anyone else did to protect his parents.

During the Cold War, a critical moment arose when Korea could have become a communist country. At that time, Father organized the National Victory over Communism to Express Indignation Rally. The last venue was in Jeolla Province, Korea. Many Unificationists that were praying for the event told Father, It is dangerous! The communists have a plan. Please avoid going to that speech, Father.

However, was Father one to compromise with the world? No, he was not. I will tell you a secret about Father: Whenever he gave a speech, he pinned his necktie like this. On that day, I gave him a diamond necktie pin to wear, and he lost it.

Yet, I do not think Satan was satisfied with a diamond necktie pin. At that moment, in America, Heung Jin was in a car accident. He had the steering wheel so he could have been fine, but he was thinking about the other second-generation Unificationists riding with him, so he turned the wheel the other way. In that single moment, his action killed himself and saved his brothers. Do you understand that?

That is why he is working in the spiritual world as the heavenly commander-in-chief. You have two brothers to be proud of. They could not do everything while on earth. You must be healthy and take on responsibility for all the areas they could not accomplish while alive. You must be a light for the world. You will do that, won’t you? [Yes.] Can I trust you? [Yes.]

What were you the first of to be born as in six thousand years? Pure water. Pure water cannot become muddy water. To prevent your becoming dirty water, you must keep flowing. By “flowing,” I mean, “keep developing.”

Of course, take care of your health, including that of your mind and of your faith. Take care of all aspects. You can do that, can’t you? [Yes.] That’s weak. You can do that, can’t you? [YES!] Okay, I will trust you. Should I stop speaking now? [NO!]

I have an appointment with some Elder Unificationists this evening, the ones that participated in Mission Butterfly and some others who did world mission work. I told them to come so I can treat them to dinner. I am feeling rather tired with such a full schedule today. Nevertheless, you would like it if I spoke more, wouldn’t you? [Laughter] Ah! The more I look at your faces the more my heart goes soft. I will sing for you. [Applause]
