Distinguished guests, ambassadors for peace, and especially leaders from political and academic circles,

Today, we are witnessing the hope for Asia’s future, and I would like to reveal the truth about history in front of the twelve thousand young people here today who will grow into our future leaders.

I would like to talk under the title, the Providence through Human Civilization, Asia’s Mission in Heaven’s Providence. When we specifically address the East and West, the West has sought to develop a material civilization. Yet, the East has sought to develop a spiritual civilization. As a result, we can see that the four main religions emerged from the Asian sphere. Though they had different beginnings, they should have one common conclusion. I would like to talk today from this perspective. Originally, the owner of the universe was God, the Creator. God created all things and then created a man and a woman who could become our human ancestors. However, he also gave responsibilities to the first humans who were to become the ancestors of humankind. Just as for all of you who have gathered here today, he gave them a growth period. During their growth period, they had to grow well. However, they fell and experienced greed before they could become ancestors of humankind. They ended up having self-centered hearts. This resulted in today’s world -- a world disconnected from God. Hence, even though the original human mind seeks goodness, the environment could not back it up, resulting in the phenomena we see today, such as repeated wars, egoism frustrating all relationships from attaining unity, and self-centered individuals and nations.

HakJaHan-170613b-2.png

The omniscient and omnipotent God, however, had already set up principles of creation, which require human beings to find God by themselves. Hence, he has been waiting for those human ancestors who victoriously do so. This is the reason he raised a chosen people and promised to send the Savior in the last days, which must have been tremendously difficult for God given that it took him four thousand years. To go beyond the mistakes committed by human beings, indemnity is unavoidable. Only in a place where people have paid all indemnity can a person who able to become a victorious human ancestor be born. Just as promised, Heaven sent Jesus Christ, God’s only son, after four thousand years. Yet, people in the surrounding environment and particularly Mary, who gave birth to God’s only son, did not fulfill their responsibilities. The mission of God’s only son is to establish the True Parents of humanity. In order to establish the True Parents, Jesus, being a man, must meet a woman, who was able to become his partner. Unfortunately, the surrounding central figures, who should have taken responsibility for that, failed to do so. If Jesus could have established the True Parents then… At the time, the great Roman Empire existed within the Cain-type world. There was a saying that all roads lead to Rome. If Jesus had established the True Parents and had advanced to the world through Rome, one world under God would have emerged.

Unfortunately, Jesus could not avoid dying on the cross, promising that he would return and conduct the marriage supper of the Lamb. The marriage supper of the Lamb implies that God’s only son, a man, will meet and marry God’s only daughter, a woman. This is humanity’s wish and Heaven’s. Christianity’s two-thousand-year history was one of resurrection through the Holy Spirit. Yet, Christians did not know Jesus’s essence. Their mission was to prepare for God’s only daughter. Christianity, today, does not know it either. Heaven’s providence, however, could forge that path through the True Parents, who can become humankind’s victorious ancestors. We should feel tremendously grateful for this incident. Israel was unable to fulfill its role. Heaven then turned his eyes toward Asia to find the nation that would give birth to God’s only daughter.

I was born in 1943, a time when Korea was not well known to the world and a time when it had yet to see liberation. As soon as Korea’s liberation came, in 1945, it divided into North and South. It divided between democracy and communism. At the time, North Korea had established a united system and was making all preparations to invade the South. Back then, democracy in South Korea had not yet established a firm system of its own. God’s only daughter had to be born on a Christian foundation. That is why a spiritual movement, whose believer expected the returning Messiah to come through Pyongyang, began to develop in that city.

Christians today believe that Jesus will come on the clouds because he promised to come again. In that case, however, Jesus cannot become the ancestor of humankind, the True Parents. He must return in the flesh. Amidst such a situation, Heaven could not leave me as a young child in North Korea but worked to make our family go to the South.

HakJaHan-170613b-3.png

Following this, the Korean War broke out in 1950. South Korea was defenseless. Had it not been for Heaven’s protection, and the participation of the sixteen UN member nations… The only daughter, who stands here in front of you, also needed some time to fulfill her responsibilities through a growth period. Thankfully, the young men of Thailand were among the sixteen nations that intervened. This is something to be grateful for. When Korea commemorated the sixtieth anniversary of the Korean War, a time when the government had not even thought of it, my husband, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, and I, sent the Little Angels to those sixteen countries to meet the still-living veterans, to comfort them and to convey our heart of gratitude. This moved them, and they expressed their gratitude to Rev. Moon for recognizing their hard work despite the long passage of time. Many shed heart-felt tears. Yes, that is so. We are one family under Heaven.

A barrier stopping us to go to Heaven formed through the Fall. That is why the messianic thought came to exist. The messiah, as the True Parents of humanity, have brought resurrection to humanity through the blessing and opened the way for them to become God’s children. The one who can do this is your parent.

HakJaHan-170613b-4.png

Hence, even if people in each country today may believe in different religions, in our search to follow the essence desired by our original mind, we should at least not do worse than a sunflower, which always follows the sun in complete alignment. From such a perspective, you are studying the truth of history. Human power cannot solve all the difficult problems taking place around the world. Only God, the true owner, the Heavenly Parent can solve them. Hence, only when all human beings are in unity with True Parents, surpassing religion and race, can humanity become one. Isn’t that so?

A hundred years ago, at a time when Korea was at its worst, Tagore, a great Indian poet, wrote a poem about Korea that includes the line, “Korea was one of its lamp-bearers and that lamp is waiting to be lighted once again for the illumination of the East.” I have recited that beautiful prophetic poem. What is a lamp here? Light is the truth. Only the true love movement, which is part of True Parents’ teachings, is a light to humanity. When through you -- the twelve thousand young people gathered here today -- that light from the East appears and you all become one in leading the culture of heart based on filial heart and ride on the strong wave from the Pacific Civilization, which True Parents opened, and advance toward the world, you also become the lamp, the light and savior to all people of the world. Will you do this work? This path alone gives hope to Asia and this will open the kingdom of heaven on earth, one family under God, a world of freedom, equality, peace, unity and joy centered on God.

I understand that you have learned a lot through the Pure Love movement and FFWPU. The kingdom of heaven is a place where families enter, not a place a husband can enter alone regardless of how strong his faith was. It is a place where the husband and wife, the family, enters together. Do you understand? If you usher in such a world, we need not worry about adolescents falling anymore. That is because the environment will guide each person to follow the desire of the person’s original mind, enabling all to find heaven by themselves and to live in a culture of heart. In order to attain such a world, I hope that all the young Asian people who have gathered here today become pioneers and leaders who can stand strong in front of the world.

The united world that we all wish for is not distant. When you practice true love, living for the sake of others as True Parents teach, in your families and nation, that place becomes the kingdom of heaven on earth. This is my message of encouragement and gratitude to you. We are now one family centered on True Parents. I sincerely pray that you can all powerfully advance toward one large family under God, which is the realization of Heavenly Parent’s dream and that of humanity’s wish.

[These notes are an overview of some of the unique points Mother made on Tuesday at the Impact Arena on June 13; as such they will not convey the totality of Mother’s message. Please see the original message transcript or a translation to gain a more complete understanding.]

Mother began her speech by explaining that the world we live in today has resulted from our first ancestors’ original failure to fulfill the human portion of responsibility. God being all powerful, He sent us a new ancestor as our mediator, a savior whose mission was to lead all of humankind to be saved. Mother related the course of Jesus as God’s Son, and how he needed to find his counterpart, a woman who is God’s Daughter, in order that they could together stand as the True Parents of humankind. This was not fulfilled, and so God worked with Korea, a country at that time scarcely known about, as an alternative nation.

HakJaHan-170613a-2.png

Mother explained that not long after she was born, Korea was divided into two, with the North eventually invading the South. Without the work of Heaven, 16 nations would not have sent troops to the aid of South Korea. Among these nations was Thailand, who sent its young soldiers to shed their blood and help Korea. Mother expressed how grateful she was that they had done so.

Mother related how, on the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War, Father and Mother sent the Little Angels to travel to those 16 nations to comfort and thank the veterans for their sacrifice for Korea. She continue by saying:

All people are brothers and sisters under Heaven; I am the True Parent of all of you. That is why in all nations, even though people believe different things, we must follow the origin just as a sunflower turns its head to follow the sun. We cannot solve the world’s problems by human power. Only our Heavenly Parent can bring solutions. We need to go beyond religion and politics and become one with True Parents.

Mother mentioned the poem Indian Poet Rabindranath Tagore wrote about Korea, with its lines about Korea’s role as a “lamb-bearer.”

The poem includes the lines:

In the golden age of Asia
Korea was one of its lamp-bearers
and that lamp is waiting to be
lighted once again for the
illumination of the East.

HakJaHan-170613a-3.png

Mother said the following:

The lamp symbolizes the teachings of the True Parents, and true love, which can save the world. That light began in the Far East and I hope it can expand through all of you 12,000 young people. I hope you can unite as one body, open the new Pacific civilization and expand it throughout the world. You will become the saviors of humankind! Will you join in with this?

This is the dream of our Heavenly Parent: a world of peace, unity, happiness and equality. One family under God. We enter Heaven as a family. Families grow together. This is the heavenly kingdom. If we can realize such a world, we do not need to worry about teenage delinquency or immorality. Our original mind needs to resonate with Heaven and then the culture of heart will be realized.

Please be the heroes of this noble task—one unified world of peace is really not so far away. By practicing true love and living for the sake of others we build the heavenly kingdom on earth. I want to give all of you my thanks and encouragement. We are all one family with True Parents at its center. Let’s realize one family under God, marching forward to that day with a courageous leap forward!

Originally, the Original Owner of the universe was the Creator

Robert S. Kittel introduces True Mother

Thank you. (So wa di ka)

Your Excellency, (General Projin)

Thank you Your presence here sends a very clear and strong message that for this nation and this region , its future in this young people is the highest priority of your government. Thank you so much.

We are here at the Youth and Peace Rally. Father and Mother Moon said that the most serious problems are youth problems and family breakdown. Our working with the government to help solve these problems is the pure love pledge. You already are familiar with each of them from an earlier presentation. Let me explain briefly what is behind them.

HakJaHan-170613-2.png

The first two pledges of loyalty to your nation and filial piety to your parents. They are actually kind of the same thing. A filial son or daughter will think in their heart, "My dad, my mom, they are the best parents in the whole world." (cheers) Right? But it doesn't stop with a feeling. With this feeling comes the understanding that, if needed, I will even die for the sake of my parents. I love them so much. Patriotism is the same thing. It is just a little bit bigger. My nation is the best nation in the whole world. (cheers) Right? It doesn't stop with a feeling. The patriot said, "If needed, I will die for the sake of my country. Filial piety and patriotism are both willing to sacrifice.

The third pledge, "I will do what is right." Father Moon said, "Living for the sake of others is good. It is right." That concept is already in all of our religions. In Buddhism, the Buddha taught, "Cut the love of yourself. Develop the path to peace." So, the problem is not outside but inside. 'If I love myself too much, I cannot have peace. Buddha also said, "Selfish people do not go to Heaven ...but noble men (and noble women) find joy in generosity..."

HakJaHan-170613-3.png

In the Bible, the same principle is there "Let no none seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. I Corinthians 10.24 Joy and generosity ... Seek the good of your neighbor

In the Koran, it uses different words but the same concept is there: "Do not expect in giving any increase for yourself.

In the Hindu tradition, again, we find that same principle of living for others: "Sacrifice performed by those who desire no reward, is the nature of goodness." Bhagavad Gita 17:11

Even in the Confucian teachings: "To nourish the mind there is nothing better than to make the desires few." (Mengzi) Don't be so selfish. A selfish mind is unhealthy.

HakJaHan-170613-4.png

This concept is even with people who have studied the mind. The father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud said, "Delay gratification"

(Principle of Goodness : Delayed Gratification: (Impulse Control) an important component of emotional intelligence and maturity.)

So the logic of purity is very simple. Purity. Keeping your purity is a sacrifice; but, sacrificing for others is good. Purity is good. It's that simple. Purity builds good character because it is a sacrifice.

Let's look at the fourth part of the pledge: "I will preserve sexual ethics, no sex outside of marriage." Let me repeat really loudly so that everybody understands. No sex before marriage. Did you hear me? (Yes!) Don't follow the Western tradition. Keep your family values.

HakJaHan-170613-5.png

There's a song that we sing. It shows how important this is. You can sing along if you know it.

Love and Marriage: Love and marriage, love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage. This I tell you, brother... You can't have one without the other. Love and marriage, love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage. Dad was told by mother. You can't have one. You can't have none. You can't have one without the other. Got it?

But why? Why do love and marriage go together. Well, (love is the glue to hold husband and wife together) Love is what will keep a man and woman together. Marriage builds a culture that honors fidelity; and, if our culture honors fidelity, we don't rape our women and unmarried teenage girls don't get pregnant. Because we honor marriage and we build that culture, we can solve this problem. But, no one can do it alone: General, we have to all work together to do this.

Father Moon said that there are four realms of the heart:

Parental Love; Conjugal Love; Siblings' Love and Children's Love. They are different in directions, but they are all the same. (Foundation of True Love?) It is living for the sake of others. Let's see how it works:

Parents live for the sake of their children.
Children live for the sake of their parents.
They create love: parental love and children love
Brother lives for the sake of his sister.
Sister lives for the sake of her brother.
They create Love: siblings love
Husband lives for the sake of his wife
Wife lives for the sake of her husband
And they create love: conjugal love

This idea of living for the sake of others is so important and practical. Of these four loves, the last two are for married couples: conjugal love and parental love

But, youth and students have the responsibility to build children love and brother and sister love. The most powerful motivation to help young people remain pure is the filial heart. In Korean it is called 'hyo jeong.' It is more than a feeling of 'love' and more than just a 'duty' of filial piety. It is the heart in children that joyfully gives to their parents, joyfully honors their parents, and joyfully follows their parents. Children living to make their parents happy is hyo jeong. This is why Mother Moon put the initials 'HJ' right in the middle of the foundation logo of 'Youth and Students for Peace.'

Our last pledge, "I will love and help others as my family members."

If you come from a difficult background, you can make your life better today, staring today can be a new beginning. Look at life through the windshield as you drive through the road of life, not through the rearview mirror. If you come from a good background, you could damage your life very easily. So therefore, whatever your background, you need to look to the future to understand the concept of absolute sex. Don't judge people. Don't criticize. Don't condemn. Let's work together to solve the problem.

HakJaHan-170613-6.png

Absolute sex is very simple: Before marriage, no sex. Then, after marriage, no sex ... Really? no sex ...outside of marriage. Even though you are married, you still need to control yourself; and, the best thing is to control yourself before you get married. Okay?

Marriage is a public commitment to be faithful. That's a sacrifice; but, we said sacrificing is good. (Since marriage is a sacrifice...the best preparation for marriage is to learn to sacrifice)

Purity is a sacrifice. It's the best preparation for marriage.

So young people, you are the future leaders, right? You are the future leaders, right? (Yes!) Really? I can hardly hear you ... (Yes!) Not exactly ... You are leaders today. Yes! (applause) You are the ones that must set a new standard, a new culture.

Two traditions we need to set together:

  1. The culture of loving and honoring our parents, hyo jeong. Young people need to do this.
  2. Create a culture of brother and sisterly love. Young people need to do this.

We are now going to take the Pure Love Pledge, but it is not something that has only been done here in Bangkok but throughout Thailand and throughout Asia. You filled half a stadium in Burirang teaching and educating about the Pure Love Pledge; and, throughout Thailand you have had programs to teach the Pledge in all 77 provinces of Thailand.

In Taiwan, (Taipei, Taiwan - November 30, 2013) working with religious leaders, on the street in front of the office in Taipei, we brought 3,000 people gathered to support traditional two-parent families; because we wanted to support marriage and family.

(Religious leaders oppose amending civil code 972 that would redefine marriage as between 'two parties.')

Religious leaders were there to support us onstage; and, we made front-page headlines in the newspaper ("300,000 people speak out against homosexual marriage."

In the Philippines, we are working (Event: Interfaith Peace Blessing Festival 2013 - January 12, 2013 Araneta Coliseum. Quantaro City, Manilla, Philippines 'A Celebration to Renew Marriages and Families'). We filled the largest indoor stadium ... 26,000 people supported by the religious community.

(Interfaith Peace Blessing Festival Manila Philippines on February 1, 2015 with 150,000 people at the Marikina City Sports Complex)

A few years later, 150,000 people at the Marikina Sports Center and we taught them the Pure Love Pledge.

In Malaysia (2nd Peace Loving Convention Kuching, Sankwak, Hilton Hotel 18 October 2014 and COH with the Wife of the Chief Minister ...)

Who is sponsoring this? We are taking The Womens Federation around Malaysia. These are current Congressmen who have taken The Pledge to commit themselves to family.

(applause) In Cambodia ... I think we have a big delegation here. (Cambodian youth joining "Pure Love Pledge") working with the government, young people and old people working together. The Office of the Royal Academy invited us to teach there for two days.

HakJaHan-170613-7.png

Sri Lanka, working hand-in-hand with the United Nations, we went around the country ("Empowering Youth for Peace and Sustainable Development" 18th South Asia Peace Initiative)

In nine days we went to nine provinces with the support of the government (Dr. Chung Shik Yong with His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka) teaching over 3,000 students as we went around (Pure Love Education)

(Dr. Chung Shik Yong presented Certificates of Attendance to some of the youth leaders after the conclusion of the program)

In Nepal, working with the Ministry of Education as we are here in Thailand, we filled the national stadium (Multicultural Family Education Peace Festival) with 70,000 people to educate and teach the Pure Love Pledge... 15,000 were turned away)

We are working in more than 434 schools and colleges; so, (to lead the Pure Love Pledge, Mr. Chollakot Chaisitdamrong and Miss. Wern-i Chin) I would like to invite Mr. Chollakot Chaisitdamrong and Miss. Wern-i Chin to lead us in the Pure Love Pledge. May I ask that we please all stand together. All of you have the Pure Love Pledge cards.

Wait please. Let's do it very loud so everyone can hear. (I think you can do better than that ... ) (a few young representatives, girl and boy, go on stage and everyone raises their right hand) (No. No ... I want 'loud' please try again ! ...) (representatives smiling) (louder now and more passion, they say the words in Thai and other young people repeat) (translator comes in "Love and help others as my family members ... 'Please put down your hands' now all are clapping )

Dr. Kittel: Thank you, please be seated. Please allow me to introduce The True Mother to you (photos of True Mother of pure youth) When Mother Moon grew up in North Korea, before Her country was divided, She was raised by Her own mother who taught Her that She had a very special Mission in life. At that time, Mother Moon was a young girl, probably the age of most of the students here today. Her mother taught Her that She had an extraordinary Mission in life. She believed Her mother: She trusted Her mother and never doubted her. This was the story of Her inner strength that stayed with Her throughout Her Life.

When She Married Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Her Husband, this conviction in Her Heart allowed Her to take on this enormously important and challenging Mission. She never wavered in 52 years of being with Him. She stood side-by-side and hand-in-hand with Father Moon for more than half a century. She attended Him and learned many things from Him. She Loved Him and still does. She Loves the 14 children that She has given birth to and over 40 grandchildren, absolutely and unconditionally.

When They went to the United Nations and Spoke there, They were side-by-side, hand-in-hand. When Her Husband passed away five years ago, She continued this quest for world peace. She even expanded the foundations that They built together. I am sure Rev. Moon is very, very happy as He supports Her from the spiritual world.

Repeatedly, I have heard Mother Moon Talk about Her Desire to end the suffering of 7.4 billion people of the world during Her Lifetime. This is the Heart of a True Mother. It cannot be stopped. It cannot be suppressed. It cannot be turned off. Parents yearn for the well-being and happiness of their children.

Father Moon came to Thailand 52 years ago. Mother Moon came to this 'land of smiles' for the very first time here just to be with you here today ! (applause cheers) She came here because She wants to share Her Heart, Her Story with you now. She has learned this as a young Girl and She has carried it throughout Her Life. When She comes onstage please welcome Her with your Thai smile and Asian heart, but also with a Korean tradition of offering a half bow to our True Parents

Please listen to Her carefully. Please learn from Her. Let Her be your role model, your hero, your Teacher and your Spiritual Parent.

Now together, let us stand and let welcome our True Mother, our True Parent to the stage to share with us Her Heart. (loud applause, cheers, music) (True Mother has the big podium taken away and the audience applauds to feel something more personal ... I think) (presentation of flowers ... Mother receives and smells the flowers)

(Thai Commentator: Mother Hak Ja Han is the Mother of 14 children and She is the Mother Who Loves all children. We want to express our gratitude for Her to be here with us as the Mother of all humankind. I would like to ask all of us to give Her a bow as the Korean tradition (say 'Keum bay') and bow your head. Give big round of applause once again to our True Mother, once again one more time.

(Podium returns and True Mother/True Parents Speak) (Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Founder, YSP, June 13, 2017 Youth for Peace Rally, Bangkok, Thailand)

True Mother Speaks

HakJaHan-170613-8.png

Greeting in Thai and the Speech is translated in Thai only ... after a while English comes ...

"Though we were born in Asia, in the beginning would have been different, the conclusion is the same: We must unite as one. From that point of view, today, what I would like to share with you is:

Originally, the Original Owner of the universe was the Creator; and, the Creator, Whom I will call, "God," created heaven and earth and gave creation of a man and a woman to become the first human ancestors who were to become the first ancestors of humanity, God gave them a responsibility and this responsibility consisted of going through a period of growth. During this period of growth, they had to grow properly. However, before becoming the first human ancestors, they were filled with the shackles of greed and self-centeredness. They allowed self-centeredness to take over. God's Purpose; and that has been the origin of the human fall that gave birth to the fallen world that we see today.

However, there is the original mind of human beings that yearns for truth and virtue; and, although the environment is a fallen one, the original mind of human beings looks to uniting with God. It is not possible to let go of the shackles of greed an self-centeredness of the fallen nature; and, today we can see many of the phenomena around the world today as direct outcomes of this unfortunate matter.

Now, God Creator is omnipotent and omniscient and created according to the Principle of Creation; and, God has worked to send an ancestor who could become the victorious Mediator between fallen human beings and the Creator, and that is why God worked to raise the chosen people.

HakJaHan-170613-9.png

It is so that, in the Last Days, when the Savior would be sent, these people would be led to salvation. How painful must this providence have been that it took more than 4,000 years in order to rectify the errors of the first human beings? Indemnity had to be paid; and, it is the same for people today.

In order for indemnity to be paid, we need to have victorious human ancestors; and, just as Heaven promised, for the first time in human history, Jesus Christ on this earth. However, the environment of the community (in Jesus' time was needed to raise and protect) Jesus on this earth. In particular Mary, who gave birth to the only-begotten son failed in her responsibility, did not understand the providence of the only-begotten son, that he was to be The True Parent of all humanity. In order to become the True Parent, Jesus who was male, needed to meet a woman who would become his partner.

HakJaHan-170613-10.png

However, this work, this task (needed cooperation from) the chosen people, (especially key) people who were endowed with the responsibility to fulfill this mission could not properly support Jesus. If (instead they had fulfilled it), Jesus would have become the True Parent of humanity the whole world would have received Jesus' (Example and Word Teaching) through the Roman Empire (foundational preparation that would have been used) at that time. Rome was so great that people would say, "All roads lead to Rome."

If Jesus could stand as The True Parents and had expanded his foundation throughout the Roman Empire, at that time, a unified world centering on God would have been realized. However, unfortunately Jesus was crucified; and, as he layed on the cross, Jesus said he would come again. He would come again because of 'The Holy Wedding of The Lamb.' The purpose of the Holy Wedding of The Lamb is for the only-begotten son to meet and marry the only-begotten daughter. That is the wish of humanity; and, it is the wish and desire of Heaven.

HakJaHan-170613-11.png

If that is the case, the 2,000 year history centering on Christianity has been the history led through the providence of the Holy Spirit to prepare for this only-begotten Daughter. So, this is the providence of The Holy Spirit centering on Christianity; however, Christians did not understand the essence of (Jesus in God's Will and Jesus' Mission). The Mission that they should have prepared was to welcome the onlybegotten Daughter.

However, when we look at Christianity today, we can see that Christians do not understand the purpose for Jesus' Second Advent. (However) now, Heaven has worked to send the victorious ancestors through True Parents, this path of salvation has been opened. How amazing an event is this. It has been something to truly be grateful and rejoice over. (applause)

The people of Israel who failed in their responsibility, had to pay indemnity. That is why in history we have learned the type of indemnity that they had to pay. Heaven selected the country in Asia, where the only-begotten Daughter could be born. It is the country of Korea.

HakJaHan-170613-12.png

Korea was not well known around the world. Furthermore, it was around the time when Korea was liberated that I was born in 1943; and, Korea was liberated in 1945. At the time when Korea was liberated, Korea was divided into communist North and the democratic South.

At that time, North Korea was moving in preparation to invade South Korea. That was the time when the communist regime had been installed in North Korea; and, the democratic government in South Korea was not yet fully (in place). At that time, the only-begotten Daughter needs to be born on the Christian foundation; and, that is why we believed that the Messiah would come to Pyeongyang.

However, because Jesus said the Messiah would come again, Christians believed the Messiah would return on the clouds. However, Jesus by himself cannot come and become the Savior of humanity just with a spirit: he needs a physical body. That is why, at a young age, Heaven worked to save Me. (By Heaven's point of view) I could not remain in North Korea (where My Life was in danger); and, Heaven worked substantially so that I could come to South Korea.

Later after that, in 1950, the Korean War erupted; and, at that time in South Korea, where no one (was safe) without the work of Heaven (sending) the 60 nations of the UN. If the 60 nations did not come to save South Korea, the only-begotten Daughter standing here before you could not have completed Her growth and may not be standing before you. What I am truly grateful for is that, among the 60 nations that came to the aid of South Korea, Thailand young people came and shed blood to help save Korea. (applause) This is something I am truly grateful for.

HakJaHan-170613-13.png

Therefore, when we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, and after passing the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, the government ...at the time when the government did not know how to thank veterans of the Korean War, Rev. Moon and I sent the Little Angels around the world. We comforted and thanked all the remaining veterans who came from the Korean War.

We not only comforted but also thanked these veterans. They were truly moved; and, even thought a long time has already passed, they understood and recognized that we were grateful for their assistance. They really expressed their gratitude. They wrote letters filled with tears to Rev. Moon and myself.

Yes indeed! We are all brothers and sisters before Heaven. However, due to the fall we cannot be restored to Heaven directly. There is that barrier standing before us: that is why the Messiah and the ideology emerged from The True Parents that the Messiah would come on earth and lead all of fallen humanity and give the Blessing so that all of humanity can be reborn as Heaven's children! I am the True Parent of all of you! (applause)

That is why today, together with all the nations, even if they believe in different religions, it is a scene just like the sun flower aligns with the sun, our original mind ... our original mind cannot fall behind the sun flower. Our original mind must point toward its origin; so, from that point of view, all of you today are learning the truth of history. Today, all of the problems happening around the world cannot be solved with human power alone. Only the True Owner, only God, only The Heavenly Parents can solve all of the world's problems.

That is why we need to go beyond religion, we need to go beyond politics; and, all of the people around the world must unite as one with True Parents. When that happens, humanity can unite as one. Isn't that so? (applause ... cheers ... Yes!)

HakJaHan-170613-15.png

A hundred years ago, the Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore, at the time when Korea was in a most difficult situation, said the following: "Korea, on the day when your lamp will shine, you shall become the shining light of the East." This was a truly prophetic poem. What is a lamp? What is the light? The light symbolizes the teaching of our True Parents. It is only the teaching of true love that can save the world; and, this light began in the Far East. I hope it can expand through each and every one of you. You can become the heroes of the filial heart 'Hyo Jeong.'

All of the youth, 12,000 youth, I hope you can unite as one and open the new Pacific civilization. You can all become the leaders and expand throughout the world. You will become the lamp and the light. You will become the saviors of humanity. Will you join this noble task? (applause, cheers)

HakJaHan-170613-16.png

That is the only way Asia will find its hope. This is the hope of humanity and this is the dream of Heavenly Parent for a world of peace, unity, happiness of equality, a world of one family under God of Heaven and earth can be realized on this earth.

Through the Pure Love Pledge and the Youth Family Federation I know that you learned a lot. Heaven is the place where we enter as a family; and, even if the husband has good faith, he cannot go to Heaven by himself. It is the husband and the wife that goes together; and, that place is the Kingdom of Heaven. Do you understand?

HakJaHan-170613-17.png

If we can realize such a world, we do not have to worry about teenage pregnancy or immorality. Our original mind will resonate with Heaven; and, we will be within the cultural sphere of 'Hyo Jeong.' I hope that we can all realize such a world. All of you are the young people of Asia. I hope we can stand proud and become the heroes and pioneers of this noble task. (applause ... cheers)

Our wish is one unified world of peace. It is not far away. It begins with one family in my nation. By practicing the true love and living for the sake of others. That is the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. (applause ... cheers)

HakJaHan-170613-18.png

Today to all of you I would like to express my gratitude; and, I also want to encourage all of you. Now, we are all one family centering on True Parents! (applause ...cheers)

The dream of Heavenly Parent and the wish of humanity consists of realizing one family under God; and, as we march toward that day, I hope that you can all take great, courageous leaps forward! (applause cheers)

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my great honor to address you today in this historic venue, the United Nations Conference Center, ESCAP Hall. We are gathered today in beautiful Thailand, a nation with a profoundly rich cultural heritage shaped by great religious traditions, including Confucianism, Taoism, Hinduism, Islam and most of all Buddhism.

The people of this land are known for their gentle kindness and generosity. I would like to acknowledge His Majesty, the late King Bhumibol, who served as father of this nation for more than seventy years, and who is still loved and respected by all the people of Thailand.

I want to express appreciation for the sponsors of this program, UPF (Universal Peace Federation), FFWPU (Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), YFWP (Youth Federation for World Peace) and WFWP (Women's Federation for World Peace).

Each of these organizations, founded by my parents, the late Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, has been devoted for decades to building a world of sustainable peace. They maintain their presence in more than 145 nations around the world.

We gather today for an extremely important purpose, to inaugurate the "Youth and Students for Peace" association. With this in mind, our thematic focus is on "The Role of Youth and Students in Creating a Culture of Sustainable Peace."

Today, we have representatives from throughout East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Many of you are Ministers of Education, Professors, School Administrators, along with student leaders. Most importantly we have nearly a thousand young people attending our program today.

HakJaHan-170612b-2.PNG

Education is essential

My mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, asked me to speak to you today on her behalf. In February of this year, in Korea, with more than one thousand five hundred young people gathered from Korea, Japan and nations around the world, my mother launched the international association of Youth and Students for Peace. She called on the young people to become champions of peace and leaders who can bring about social transformation for the sake of sustainable peace.

In order to accomplish this goal, she emphasized that young people must develop the skills and capacities required to become leaders of the future. Education, therefore, is absolutely essential, including both professional education in the arts and sciences that equip us with the knowledge required to function with high levels competence in various fields such as business, education, service industries, IT, health care, legal services, or government service. In addition to the acquisition of the skills required for excellence in a career, it is also equally important, if not more important, that we develop our moral character by cultivating virtues such as empathy, and living for the sake of others.

If we become competent professionals without become good men and woman who care about others, who care about future generations, who care about the suffering of others, who care about our environment, then we cannot become the people who can transform our world.

We are all keenly aware that our world is struggling to overcome many critical challenges that threaten the quality of life, and may even threaten life itself. The United Nations is to be applauded for identifying the critical issues of our time -- poverty, epidemics, climate change and environmental degradation, extremism, etc. -- and has established the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, calling upon all member states to contribute to the achievement of these goals. However, Governments alone cannot achieve the SDGs. It requires a wide range of partnerships among governments, civil society, the private sector, faith-based organizations, and individual citizens.

HakJaHan-170612b-3.PNG

Peace in practice

My parents have taught that peace is a term that describes the quality of relationships such that they are characterized by harmony, cooperation, respect and love. Ultimate, peace is the ideal of achieving a world where all people throughout the world live together as brothers and sisters, like a harmonious family. While we may identify with a particular nationality, ethnicity, religion, or culture, we should affirm our common humanity, a value that transcends our individual backgrounds.

Moreover, in addition to harmony among peoples from diverse nations, cultures and religions, there must be respect, appreciation, and harmony with the natural world, including all living things, our planet, the universe. We are the stewards of this planet. We are to take care of this precious environment so that future generations do not live in fear of extinction.

Once again, I applaud the UN for its efforts to address the threats posed by climate change, rising sea levels, desertification, deforestation, and over-reliance on fossil fuels. I urge all of you, as leaders of tomorrow, to become agents of change, men and women who will reverse that trends that have violated the purity and beauty of our natural environment.

Contribute to peace

To those of you who hold positions in education, I cannot say enough how important your role is, as you work to raise up the next generations to be the people who can take on and overcome the overwhelming challenges of our time.

While education within the classroom is very important, we must not overlook the essential role played by the family. My parents have always taught that the first school that any child attends is the school of their own family.

Their first teachers are none other than mom and dad. In fact, many argue that long before we enter a classroom, our hearts and minds are shaped in profound ways by early childhood experiences in the family. Thus, my parents placed family at the core of their global vision of peace. In fact, it is by building families of true love, raising children of good character, guided by the principle of living for the sake of world peace, that we contribute to sustainable peace.

As young people, I know many of you look forward to the day when you will marry and form a family. I encourage you with all my heart to take on this task with great seriousness. Your decisions about marriage and family are completely relevant and essential to the task of building a world of peace.

HakJaHan-170612b-4.PNG

We live at a time when there is much confusion in areas of love and marriage. Popular culture often portrays the good life as characterized by self-indulgence. Self-indulgence, however, takes us in a direction that makes it very difficult to establish harmonious, respectful relationships that are needed if we are to build a family of true love and peace. Please consider this point and, during your time at this conference, make every effort to learn and grow so that you can become a person who can make a true contribution to sustainable peace.

In conclusion, I want to express once again my profound appreciation to the distinguished leaders from Thailand, from the United Nations and from many other nations who have honored this day with their presence.

I am especially moved by the young people who have gathered here today to support the launch of Youth and Students for Peace. You are humanity's hope, and a shining light to the world. I wish you every success and victory in your precious lives. The world needs you. Please use your time well. Thank you for your attention

Prayer to dedicate Blocks One, Two, and Three of the Azalea official residence

Hak Ja Han
May 31, 2017
10:00 am at the HJ Azalea Plaza, HJ Cheonwon Complex

HakJaHan-170531-1.PNG

Noble Heavenly Parent,

On this day, the sixth day of the fifth month in the fifth year of Cheon Il Guk, around the time of the sixty-third anniversary of the establishment of HSA-UWC, in this beautiful season of new spring, amidst your protection and mercy, we are now constructing the model of the future Cheon Il Guk's kingdom of heaven on earth here in the HJ Cheonwon Complex. Today, Heavenly Parent, we offer to you, Blocks One, Two, and Three of the Azalea official residence. We pray that the families who live here will be examples to others as citizens of Cheon Il Guk who put into practice God's authority, nobility, dignity, and love. They stand as representatives of all members who have worked hard but could not enter here. As the first residents, to the degree they have been blessed I pray they become blessed families who will make their descendants proud by living lives in which they return gratitude and glory to Heaven with humble hearts. I pray you remember these families, without distinction between senior families and young families, as your proud children and Cheon Il Guk citizens.

Father, this is the beginning. Starting here, after all the historic buildings here at Cheonwon Complex are constructed, we can reveal this place to the entire world as the manifestation of True Parents' hard work and Heavenly Parents' divine protection. We will build an environment in which all the world's 7.4 billion people can enter True Parents' realm of love. I pray that the families entering here today will become model families and create an environment of one human family, a united world centered on God through their lives and actions.

Heavenly Parent! Thank you. I give thanks for your endless love and effort. Though this is insufficient, we are just beginning. We offer all that we are doing for the providence, and I pray once again that these leaders and other members can work to achieve this precious mission, through which True Parents' achievements in this age, throughout the world, remain forever. I offer Block One, Block Two, and Block Three to Heavenly Parent, so Father, please preside over it. I offer this with gratitude in True Parents' names. Aju
