In honor of Veteran's Day, the hundredth anniversary of Armistice Day, and the veterans who have fought to serve America, Dr. Moon donated $13,000 each at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York to the following four veteran organizations:
Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Department of New York, a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces. VFW has various programs and services that work to support veterans, service members and their families, as well as communities worldwide. vfwny.com

It Is Clear That We Must Find God and Live Our Lives in Attendance to Him

Are there people here seeing me for the first time? Who am I? Correct. I am the True Mother. If the 7.5 billion people of the world hear of me, as you did, they would feel the same. I have been saying that we must know the truth about God, our Creator.
When God created all things in the universe, he created them in his own image. Then, lastly, he created a man and a woman, called in the Bible Adam and Eve. However, God gave human beings a period of growth. During that time, Adam and Eve should have matured to have absolute unity with God. God is intangible. He does not have a body. Therefore, God's dream as he created human beings was to bless them once they had matured, so God could become the True Parent of humankind. In other words, God's dream was to embrace and love humankind's first ancestors, his children. God wished to live together with humankind in a peaceful kingdom of heaven on earth and to continue to loving them, eternally in the kingdom of heaven. He created with these principles of creation. However, what happened?
Adam and Eve could not unite with God. They had no choice but to leave God. Thus, today's fallen human race came into being. From the past until today people have wanted to . be good and follow their consciences. They truly loved freedom, equality, peace, and unification but did not know how to achieve them. That is why history has many ups and downs, going from good to bad… In the midst of this, thanks to their consciences, people lived good lives. People did not realize this, but they wished to live together and live in accord with the will of an absolute being. This kind of heart brought about religions. Today, there are four great religions and they all teach the same thing. Live with goodness. Fallen human beings have said this, but their actions have not coincided with that. There is a cause for this and if we cannot eliminate this cause, it cannot get better. This is the conclusion: The owner of the universe is God.
It is clear that we must find God and live our lives in attendance to him. However, this has been difficult. This is true even with just the history of Christianity. It is true that Christianity has undergone many trials and errors. What is clear is God is our parent. We must have a movement so people can realize this and attend God. Though fallen humankind has made effort to attend God, they have been unable to do so. The problems are that they did not know God and they did not know Jesus' essence. All mistaken human beings must find the victorious True Parents from among themselves and meet True Parents. This miracle-like event must happen. Only through this can God, the Heavenly Parent say, "You are my son; you are my daughter!"
Within nature, we can find sunflowers. On cloudy days or sunny days, all the sunflowers look in the same direction. There can be no ups and downs in the realm of God's dominion. We must align just like sunflowers. None of these difficult problems can arise. Until now, human beings have made effort to do well; however, they were unable to attain results. In conclusion, all human beings must find God, our Heavenly Parent, and in order to stand in front of God, they must meet the True Parents, through whom they will be resurrected and reborn. The long period of six thousand years passed before True Parents manifested. For that long period of six thousand years, our Heavenly Parent shed blood, sweat and tears in order to find his lost children.
Two thousand years ago, God had planned to complete the providence in this fallen world through Jesus Christ and the realization of True Parents. However, those around Jesus did not fulfill their responsibilities and Jesus was sent to the cross. As he died, Jesus said he would return. He said he would return and hold the marriage supper of the Lamb. This means that in the Last Days, we cannot realize the completion of the providence if the only daughter of God is not born. Heaven found Jesus Christ, whom God could call "my son," from among fallen humankind after four thousand years. It has taken six thousand years for Heaven to find the only daughter of God, whom God can call "my daughter." Therefore, I, who knew the essence of the only daughter of God, went forward toward the position of True Mother at the age of 16. Ever since I was young, I grew up knowing God is my Father. Even though my parents were alive I grew up knowing this. My family was a family that offered more devotions than anyone else did in preparation for the returning Messiah.
I was born around the time Korea had been liberated from colonial rule and the Korean War began dividing Korea into North and South – having communist and democratic thought. I was born in North Korea but . communist thought had begun to take root there. While the South was still disorganized the North already had the ability to attack the South. Think about this. I was born in 1943 and the Korean war began in 1950. At that time Heaven protected Korea for me. According to the principles of creation, after creating Adam and Eve who would become the ancestors of humankind, God gave them a growth period. Heaven cannot have the only daughter of God born after six thousand years dying before she can go through her growth stage. Therefore, Heaven had to protect me until I became old enough to make decisions. Thus, in 1960 I came forward to the position of True Parent. . The position of True Parent! It is an extremely difficult position. The blessing movement began after True Parents' Holy Wedding. If prepared Christians had known about the manifestation of True Parents, the 7.5 billion people of the world would have learned about it quickly. Imagine how difficult it was. We created a foundation and climbed from the ground up. I am saying times have now changed. You must openly and proudly reveal the True Parent, God's only daughter. This is the truth.
Therefore, if you receive the blessing and complete all your responsibilities as blessed families, you will absolutely live in the kingdom of heaven on earth and you will go to the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, receive the blessing! You must do this. As blessed families, will you fulfill your responsibilities as tribal messiahs? You also must liberate your ancestors. Can you do this? Can I believe you? The right time will not always wait for you. Therefore, do not miss this opportunity; become blessed families who fulfill all their responsibilities.
As you know, South Africa is located on the southernmost part of the African continent. I have said this in Korea. Thinking of Korea as one region, I divided Korea into five subregions. The southernmost subregion of the five subregions is the Gyeongsang Provinces. When I had a rally there, I told them, "Now the Gyeongsang Provinces must light a fire from the bottom." What do you think? Are you going to light the fire of the blessing from Cape Town to reach the entire continent? Once again, will you do that? I have bestowed great blessings on South Africa and Zimbabwe at this time. The seeds have been sown, but we must get them to bear fruit before time is up.
Prophet Radebe has proclaimed True Mother is the only daughter of God. Therefore, you too must strongly proclaim that everyone must receive the blessing from the True Parents, from the only daughter of God. I wish I were still 50; it is difficult at my age. Therefore, you must move quickly. We must offer Heavenly Parent many results while I am still on earth. Please help me. All right! Now, I believe in you and appreciate what you have done. Africa Summit Honoring the Legacy of Nelson Mandela

Beloved guests from home and abroad, in particular, the high-level dignitaries from 32 nations, ladies and gentlemen. Today I have thought deeply on how we can achieve true peace. Just in this nation and continent, many righteous people have worked for a world of freedom and peace. In particular, at this time when 100 years have passed since the birth of the great Nelson Mandela, we are all thinking about how to realize his endeavors.
Today, the problems are occurring throughout the world. Large nations and small nations wish for peace. However, the walls of race, religion, ideology, and culture – these numerous walls and borders – continue to increase. Do you think that we as human beings can find the answer and conclusion to this? We must know clearly who the owner of this universe is. It is God, our Creator! He is our Heavenly Parent. The Creator had a dream. Thus, he created all things in the universe and then created Adam and Eve who could become the first ancestors of humankind.
He gave them the responsibility to go through the growth period. Responsibility. Adam and Eve should have matured from within the position of being absolutely united with God. However, they were unable to do so and created the world of people today with their many problems. The Creator is an omniscient and omnipotent being. From start to finish God is the same. He is a being that absolutely cannot fail. The problem is that in accordance with the principles of creation, he gave people responsibilities. Therefore, Heaven had no choice but to lead the difficult and tough history of the providence of restoration through indemnity. How difficult must it have been? It took indemnity through a long four thousand years for Jesus Christ, whom God could call "My son" to be born.
God's only son. God had created a man and a woman. Then, the person who gave birth to God's only son, and the surrounding people should have helped Jesus meet God's only daughter. However, they did not fulfill that responsibility. Jesus came after 4,000 years to be the True Parent of humankind. Yet the people who sent the Messiah, Jesus Christ, to the cross believe they will receive salvation through the blood of the cross. How wrong is this? We have seen through history the indemnity that was paid by the people who sent the True Father to the cross. When Jesus died, he said he would come again. He said he would return and hold the marriage supper of the Lamb.
He was saying he would become the parent of humankind. In that case, Heaven had to prepare a nation for the birth of God's only daughter who had gone unfound during Jesus' time. Thus in 1943 in Korea, God's only daughter, True Mother, was born, the mother of the universe and humankind who can liberate all the people of today. I am sure everyone here today has a family. No matter how great a man is he cannot have a child without a woman.
This means that the birth of life begins with the woman. However, the history of civilization and of Christianity until today has progressed oriented around males. When we look at our present state which has progressed oriented around males, something is lacking; it is not balanced. Only through the True Family does humankind have a future. Thus in 1960, True Parents manifested through the Holy Wedding. For humankind, this was an event full of hope. However, Christians did not know about this incredible miraculous event. Through the manifestation of the True Parents many African countries gained liberation from colonial regimes. After Jesus went the way of the cross, Christianity began with the resurrection of the Holy Spirit through the work of the Apostles. In the beginning, they went through severe persecution. Christianity became active after official recognition in Rome in 313 AD.
It spread from Italy throughout Europe until it arrived in England. Then, centered on England and the surrounding nations, Christianity spread to the world. These people also did not know Jesus' essence. How could they carry the teachings of Jesus to "Love your neighbor as yourself" yet due to differences in skin color and differences in race begin the slave trade? They were selfish and only thought of the benefit to their own countries as they took everything away from the colonies. In the end, instead of becoming a civilization that spread Christianity, they became a civilization that plundered. Through this, Europe may have flourished externally, however, internally, mentally, and spiritually they became perverse. Thus, around WWII, communism began to dominate and spread throughout the world.
Even without an environmental foundation because we are the True Parents, we had no choice but to save the world through America which represented the democratic world. Therefore in 1975, we went to America and educated the people saying, "America is sick and I have come as the doctor. The families in America are on fire and I have come as the firefighter." Heaven blessed America so it could create a foundation for the original returning Messiah. This was for the sake of the world. However, America had forgotten its responsibilities. The destruction of the family, corruption of youth through degenerate culture, drug problems…Communism was just around the corner, yet no leader could protect America. At this time, as the True Parents, we established the Washington Times as a conservative paper. Consequently, all the nations in danger of communist regimes taking them over received protection through the Washington Times. One example of this is Nicaragua.
The world was gradually heading toward an unpredictable state of instability. However, Christianity was asleep. In this situation, starting from the bottom, through blood, sweat, and tears we sent many young missionaries throughout the world. Many missionaries are here on this continent too. Especially, here at an event hosted by UPF is Kathy Rigney, who is responsible for this continent. She came to Africa as a missionary in 1975. Since then, she has been working hard for this continent. We call people who know True Parents' ideology "shikgu" [family members]. They emulate True Parents and ceaselessly put into practice the true love of living for the sake of others and are Heavenly Parent's children.
There have been great people on this continent too, in particular, Nelson Mandela! I know how much he wished for freedom and how much he loved peace. The problem is that throughout the world people have pursued world peace through human strength and efforts yet the conclusion is still far away. Humankind must know the cause. The owner of this universe, is the Creator, God. There is no answer if you are separated from God, the Heavenly Parent. Therefore, Heavenly Parent had no choice but to wait for the birth of True Parents, as victorious humans, during the long six-thousand-year providence. This is because fallen humankind cannot go directly into God's presence.
The family tree is different. Thus, through receiving the Blessing from True Parents, you must be in the position of fulfilling your responsibilities, in order to become Heavenly Parent's true children. When we look at the 7 billion people of the world, I have worked hard to create an environment in various spheres so people can quickly learn about Heaven's providence. Amongst those, the core is the Blessing. We have dreamed of one human family centered on God. Yet we did not know the way to make this happen. There are over 200 nations in the world. Small nations and large nations have both put the interests of their own nation first. The UN, established 70 years ago, has made effort to fulfill that role; however, we are unable to become one. We are unable to unite as one voice.
Then what must we do? The answer is simple. We must transcend race; we must transcend religion, and we must know that God, our Creator, the Heavenly Parent is our parent and the ones who will help us to stand in our Heavenly Parent's presence are the True Parents. This is why the Family Federation finds the Blessing important. Nations who have been enemies have united with one heart through the children of these nations and through the Blessing. The true family movement is the only shortcut to a world of peace and in particular the basic unit for realizing the kingdom of heaven on earth. The only way to become a child whom Heavenly Parent can embrace is through receiving the Blessing.
Through this Blessing and through the true family movement, you yourself will become tribal messiahs and can liberate your ancestors. Therefore, today your ancestors who wish to go the path of the Blessing through you have filled this hall to the brim. Ladies and gentlemen, today's gathering is not a common one. I pray that you will bear in mind that this is a miraculous day in history in which we realize Heavenly Parent's dream and humankind's wish. There can be no completion through ignorance. You must learn. Clinging to the past cannot bring a hopeful future.
Ladies and gentlemen, what will you do? Will you create an Africa that is the light and the lamp in front of the world as a nation and a continent that has received the Blessing and has been reborn through True Parents? In the Bible there is a passage stating, the "first will be last, and the last first." Know that you who have received the Blessing are in this position. I pray that you become people who understand the truths of history and the providence properly and go forward together with God's only daughter, True Mother.

Beloved guests from home and abroad, in particular, the high-level dignitaries from thirtytwo nations, ladies and gentlemen:
Today, I have thought deeply on how we can achieve true peace. Just in this nation and on this continent, many righteous people have worked for a world of freedom and peace. In particular, at this time when a hundred years have passed since the birth of the great Nelson Mandela, we are all thinking about how to realize his endeavors.
Today, the problems are occurring throughout the world. Large nations and small nations wish for peace. However, the walls of race, religion, ideology and culture -- these numerous walls and borders -- continue to increase. Do you think that we as human beings can find the answers and conclusion to this? We must clearly know who the owner of this universe is, God our Creator! He is our Heavenly Parent. The Creator had a dream. Thus, he created all things in the universe and then created Adam and Eve who could become the first ancestors of humankind.
He gave them the responsibility to go through the growth period. Responsibility… Adam and Eve should have matured from within the position of absolutely unity with God. However, they were unable to do so and created the world of people today with their many problems.
The Creator is an omniscient and omnipotent being. From start to finish God is the same. He is a being that absolutely cannot fail. The problem is that in accordance with the principles of creation, he gave people responsibilities. Therefore, Heaven had no choice but to lead the difficult and tough history of the providence of restoration through indemnity. How difficult must it have been? It took indemnity through a long four thousand years for Jesus Christ, whom God could call "My son" to be born. God's only son… God's had created a man and a woman. Then, the person who gave birth to God's only son and the surrounding people should have helped Jesus meet God's only daughter. However, they did not fulfill that responsibility.
Jesus came after four thousand years to be the True Parent of humankind. Yet the people who sent the Messiah Jesus Christ to the cross believe they will receive salvation through the blood of the cross. How wrong is this? We have seen through history the indemnity paid by the people who sent the True Father to the cross. When Jesus died, he said he would come again. He said he would return and hold the marriage supper of the Lamb. He was saying he would become the parent of humankind. In that case, Heaven had to prepare a nation for the birth of God's only daughter who had gone unfound during Jesus' time.
Thus, in 1943 in Korea, God's only daughter, True Mother, was born as the mother of the universe and humankind who can liberate all the people of today. I am sure everyone here today has a family. No matter how great a man is, he cannot have a child without a woman. This means that the birth of life begins with the woman. However, the history of civilization and of Christianity until today has progressed oriented around males. When we look at our present state, which has progressed, oriented around males, something is lacking; it is not balanced. Only through the True Family does humankind have a future. Thus, in 1960, True Parents manifested through the Holy Wedding. For humankind, this was an event full of hope. However, Christians did not know about this incredible miraculous event. Through the manifestation of the True Parents, many African countries gained liberation from colonial regimes. After Jesus went the way of the cross, Christianity began with the resurrection by the Holy Spirit through the work of the Apostles. In the beginning, they went through severe persecution.
Christian society's shortcomings
Christianity became active after official recognition in Rome in 313 ad. It spread from Italy throughout Europe until it arrived in England. Then, centered on England and the surrounding nations Christianity spread to the world.
Even these people did not know Jesus' essence. How could they carry the teachings of Jesus to "Love your neighbor as yourself" yet due to differences in skin color and differences in race begin the slave trade? They were selfish and thought only of the benefit of their own countries as they took everything away from the colonies. In the end, instead of becoming a civilization that spread Christianity, they became a civilization that plundered. Through this Europe may have flourished externally, however, internally, mentally and spiritually they became perverse. Thus, around WWII, communism began to dominate and spread throughout the world.
Even without an environmental foundation, because we are the True Parents, we had no choice but to save the world through America, which represented the democratic world. Therefore, in 1975, we went to America and educated the people saying, "America is sick and I have come as the doctor. The families in America are on fire and I have come as the firefighter."
Heaven had blessed America so it could create a foundation for the original returning Messiah. This was for the sake of the world. However, America had forgotten its responsibilities. The destruction of the family, corruption of youth through a degenerate culture, drug problems… Communism was just around the corner, yet no leader could protect America. At this time, as the True Parents, we established the Washington Times as a conservative paper. Consequently, all the nations in danger communist regimes taking them over received protection through the Washington Times. One example of this is Nicaragua.
The world was gradually heading toward a state of unpredictable instability. However, Christianity was asleep. In this situation, starting from the bottom, through blood, sweat and tears, we sent many young missionaries throughout the world. Many missionaries are here on this continent, too. Especially, here at an event hosted by UPF, is Kathy Rigney who is responsible for this continent. She came to Africa as a missionary in 1975. Since then she has been working hard for this continent.
We call people who know True Parents' ideology "shikgu" [family members]. They emulate True Parents and ceaselessly put into practice the true love of living for others' sake and are Heavenly Parent's children. There have been other great people on this continent too, in particular, Nelson Mandela! I know how much he wished for freedom and how much he loved peace. Today, I have been thinking deeply about how we can achieve true peace. Just in this nation and on this continent, many righteous people have worked for a world of freedom and peace. In particular, at this time when a hundred years have passed since the birth of the great Nelson Mandela, we are all thinking about how to further substantialize the efforts he made.
Today, around the world, problems are arising. Large nations and small nations long for peace. However, the walls of race, religion, ideology and culture—these numerous walls and borders—are gradually expanding. Do you think that we, as human beings, can find the answers to these issues and resolve them? We must know clearly who the owner of this universe is. It is God our Creator! He is our Heavenly Parent. Our Creator had a dream. Based on that dream, he created all things in the universe and then created Adam and Eve, who were to become the first ancestors of humankind.
He gave them the responsibility to go through the growth period. Responsibility. Adam and Eve should have matured from within the position of being absolutely united with God. However, they were unable to do so and instead made the people of the world as they are today, with their many problems.
