The Hope of a Unified Heavenly Korea, in Which North and South Are United

Esteemed dignitaries, ambassadors for peace and leaders from all fields -- in particular, young people who will lead the future and blessed families of the Family Federation:

We have come together today with the hope of a unified Heavenly Korea, which we have longed for, in which North and South are united. Looking at this nation and the world, we can see that human effort and intelligence cannot solve today's challenges. People have made great effort in thinking about how to achieve a peaceful world, but the results were always the same.

That being the case, we have to organize a movement that properly attends God, the Creator and owner of the universe. The Bible says that originally when God made all things he created them according to his image; thus, minerals are either plus or minus, plants have either stamen or pistil, animals are male or female and humans he created as man or woman to be the ancestors of humanity. They were Adam and Eve, of whom the Bible speaks.

God gave human beings responsibilities to fulfill during their growth period. In other words, they should have grown in absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience to God. However, halfway through, they became ambitious [as if saying] I can become like God too! Thus, they gave rise to the current fallen human beings. God's principles of creation cannot change. God has been longing for the day on which the good ancestors of humanity could understand the principle and his will and fulfill their responsibilities. God's providence has been the work of salvation.

The indemnity period for a good people to rise in the fallen world and establish a nation was so long and arduous, but finally, after four thousand years, God sent the Messiah, Jesus Christ, whom he had promised. Nevertheless, human beings did not know Heaven's providence. They did not know why Jesus Christ had come. Mary, who gave birth to him, the Israelites and Judaic figures failed to fulfill their duties to him. The birth of God's only son after four thousand years is not the end for the son. God's only son was to meet God's only daughter, create a true family and come into the position of True Parents to save the whole human race.

Preparing for the Messiah

Before going through the crucifixion, Jesus announced that he would return. Christianity began with the work of the Holy Spirit and the Apostles that were waiting for Jesus to return. The early days were so hard. Many endured persecution and martyrdom. Even so, their hearts still anticipated the return of the Messiah and they developed the Christian culture.

In light of that, what else should modern Christians prepare for while waiting for the Messiah? God does not reuse a people or a person who leaves responsibilities unfulfilled. God has to choose and prepare a people that can give birth to God's only daughter and finally complete the providence. That is the Korean people of Asia.

Korean Messiahs

I was born in 1943. God's only daughter must be born on a Christian foundation. Korea became independent in 1945. Following its liberation, the country divided, north and south, following communism and democracy. In those days, all intellectuals and Christians came to the South, but people in spiritualist groups that awaited the return of the Messiah could not decide whether to leave or not. At that time, God made me come south. God guided me, and two years after I had come south, the Korean War broke out.

By then, the North Korea had already prepared and organized everything, but South Korea had neither the structure, nor the base to confront North Korea. Under those circumstances and in the midst of the providence, as God's only daughter, God had to give me time so that I could fulfill my responsibilities. Thanks to the miracle of the armies of sixteen nations mobilizing as the UN forces, South Korea now exists. On that subject, you need to understand that God selected and prepared the Korean people as the chosen people. That being the case, these people have responsibilities to fulfill. What are those responsibilities?

Today this people should feel gratitude for the deep love of God that helps them overcome crises every time they are in difficulties. Knowing the providence, although I was only a girl, I decided, and in 1960, the True Parents came to exist. Yet, just as in Jesus' time, Christian culture did not constitute the appropriate environment. While we were in the position of True Parents, we had to start from the bottom and work our way up to this day. This was the year of the fifty-eighth anniversary of the Holy Wedding. More than half a century has passed.

Heavenly Parent's aching heart

Knowing God's longing, we have sought a world of peace. Fallen people cannot go directly into God's presence. For that reason, they need a savior. True Parents are the Saviors. Through the blessing, which gives rebirth to all the children of the fallen world, True Parents give them rebirth, making them able to form blessed families. From this point of view, all of you here have lived different lives in many respects, but the only thing that can give you hope for the future is that you have found True Parents and have been reborn as true children. Today, I tell many blessed couples that they should become tribal messiahs. The blessing must not end up being something that belongs only to you. You have responsibilities over three "generations," including the responsibility of guiding your ancestors and your descendants, the protagonists of the future. Fulfilling those responsibilities as blessed families will enable God to embrace the fallen world. Only when blessed families fulfill their mission as tribal messiahs and advance to the position of national and global messiahs can the peaceful world that humanity has longed for and Heavenly Parent's one family be achieved. To realize this, True Parents had to endure many sacrifices and overcome difficulties and plead with God not to abandon Christianity and its foundation despite knowing the pain felt by Heavenly Parent over Christians having proved unable to fulfill their obligations.

This country had difficulties and the US, which God had prepared for the global providence, was becoming sick. In the 1970s, we went to the US to make Americans aware of their illness. If we could teach them when they were already on the threshold of adopting communism so that they in turn would protect the democratic world, it was due to True Parents making efforts that cost them blood. Thus, at that time, we trained young Americans and sent them as missionaries throughout the world. For forty years, their motivation did not change and today they are obtaining amazing results in Africa and Asia. Now, I tell them that the political force of an individual does not determine the future of a people. Hope will exist in the future when people serve the original owner, God, the Creator. Even now, I hope you will remember that only when this nation attends Heavenly Parent and moves toward the world, will it fulfill its obligations to the world as a blessed nation.

Where is Korea heading?

A hundred years ago, the great Indian poet, Tagore, wrote a poem about Korea, including "The day you light your lamp again, you will be the bright light of the East." What does light symbolize? Truth, but not human truth. Genuine truth can only come from True Parents centered on God. That is why many tribal messiahs in Asia, centered on Korea and Japan, are opening a new era for the Pacific Rim civilization. They are raising the banner of revolution to instill the hyo jeong culture of heart and with true love, living for others' sake, those in our second generation, our future leaders, are reaping amazing results all over the world.

When I went to the United States in the 1970s, I saw a show about the Wild West. The name of the series was "Bonanza." It began with an image of fire consuming a map and then a map of the modern American West arose. Today, in this place especially as the birthplace of the united kingdom of Shilla [ad 676–935], won't you dare to become the spark and redraw the map of God's immense homeland, the homeland of faith, the map of a unified heavenly Korea including North Korea? A united heavenly Korea... Our center is Heavenly Parent and True Parents. I will end my speech here by wishing that you be ambassadors for peace, blessed families and leaders who attend the center, just as the sunflower aligns with the sun, wherever you are and in all circumstances. 2018 Yeongnam Rally for the Hopeful March Forward of a Heavenly Korea

Today's event, held in a huge modern convention center in Busan, was part of a series of rallies, or assemblies, that aim to gather at least 10,000 people on each occasion.

This morning, the program began with a Marriage Blessing Ceremony, officiated by the Regional leader of Busan and his wife. This was entitled the "2018 Universal Blessing Ceremony Given by the True Parents of Heaven Earth and Humankind," [translation tentative] was held for a group of married couples who came to solemnize their vows in this most public arena.

Following this there was a 20-minute Chanyang session for everyone, organized by the Cheongpyeong training center staff. Then the program turned to the more usual schedule of National Anthem, introduction of VIPs (including the mayor of Busan and the chairman of the Busan City Council, who both attended in person), a second generation member's heartfelt testimony to True Parents and her own parents, awards to exemplary families, followed by two congratulatory addresses.

The first of these was by Busan mayor Seo Byeong-su. He expressed how impressed he was by the number of people he saw lining up outside the convention center, and by the prominent members of society present in the auditorium. He recalled his meeting with Mother when she came to open the new Busan Family Federation headquarters last year (at which event he had also offered congratulatory remarks), testifying to Mother's radiance and resolve. He added, "I could see by her leadership style why FFWPU is making strides forward." He also expressed an interest in the Japan-Korea undersea tunnel, explaining that the city of Busan had also invested in research regarding he viability of such a tunnel. Perhaps not surprisingly considering his position, he stated that Busan would be the best connecting point for such a tunnel between Korea and Japan! Mayor Seo concluded by saying that as long as Hak Ja Han Moon is alive the Family Federation will be filled with hope and we will see the breakdown of all barriers between different groups and the creation of one family centered on God.

Busan city council chairman Baek Jong-heon then offered his remarks, explaining that the great challenge for the Korean peninsula now is whether we will live in peace, whether that dialogue for peace can continue. He expressed that he believed the efforts to realize peace on earth must go on, and that the Family Federation is the standard bearer of for the realization of exemplary families.

FFWPU for a Heavenly Korea (Korean church president) Lee Gi-seong then thanked the Busan members for their sleepless nights of preparation for welcoming True Mother to Busan, and said True Mother is the one who has offered the most jeongseong. He reviewed the providential course of True Parents and how it was in Busan that Father, living in a hut made of cardboard and mud, predicted that his movement would encompass the world. He mentioned that Father once said that an endless stream of ships will come to the original homeland and Busan will be known around the world as the place to come to renew oneself.

After a video depicting True Parents' work in the providence of God, Mother came out and spoke to the large audience among which were quite a number of invited guests.

This is a summary of parts of Mother's speech at the 2018 Yeongnam Rally for the Hopeful March Forward of a Heavenly Korea, which took place in Busan, on the South Coast of Korea this morning. This content is from notes and may not be accurately expressed. Please do not rely on it for quotations or official use in presentations or publications.

This is an important time in history, when the long awaited of reunification of Korea can be realized. When we look at this nation, we can see that we cannot solve the challenges we face just by human intelligence. Much has been invested but lasting peace has not been realized. How can we solve these problems? It is by knowing the creator of heaven and earth and by attending God. From the Bible, we know that God created the world according to His form – stamen/pistil, male/female, man/woman – God gave us a portion of responsibility. But Adam and Eve allowed themselves to be swayed by self-centered desire, and this is what caused the state of the world today.

But God could not abandon fallen humankind, He has worked throughout providential history to bring about the true ancestors of humankind; God raised the chosen people – beginning from an individual up to the point when a nation was ready to receive the Messiah. God sent Jesus who had no relation to the fall; but people could not recognize him. The only begotten son came not to end his life on earth but to meet the only begotten daughter and realize a true family. They would become the True Parents, and give the Marriage Blessing to all people. Unfortunately, the leaders at the time could not make the foundation for Jesus, and much indemnity in history followed. Through the Pentecost, the work of the Holy Spirit, Christianity grew, even despite persecution and danger of martyrdom. The early believers persevered and developed the beautiful Christian culture.

I was born in 1943, as the only begotten daughter, on the foundation of Christianity. In 1945 Korea was liberated, yet divided into the communist North and democratic South. God knew the only begotten daughter needed time to grow and worked a special dispensation to protect me. (Christian spiritual groups in the North were waiting for the Lord. They could not decide whether to stay in Pyongyang or flee south.) In order that I could fulfill my responsibility, South Korea was defended during the North's invasion. All of you must clearly understand: the people of Korea were specially chosen and raised by Heaven. They have a particular responsibility. At time of Jesus, the people could not unite with Jesus. But the people of Korea must not fail.

True Parents had to begin their providential work from the lowest position, and this year marked the 58th anniversary of their Holy Wedding. Since we knew Heaven's will, and that it was to realize a world of lasting peace, we have dedicated ourselves. Unfortunately, people around the world do not understand the way to peace. Fallen human beings cannot directly return to our Heavenly Parent. The Messiah, the True Parents, are necessary to bring the Blessing to the fallen children of the world, and they can be born again as Blessed Families. Although you may be active in society, and have accomplished various things, your goal should be to meet the True Parents and be born again through their Blessing. That is the way to have hope for the future.

I have asked the blessed families to become messiahs to their tribes. The Blessing is not your Blessing; you are responsible to guide 3 generations. Your responsibility is to become victorious tribal messiahs and national messiahs to the nations. That is how we can accomplish one family under God.

To realize this objective, True Parents have had to overcome countless difficulties, sacrifices and misunderstandings. Despite these difficulties, at a time when the world was in confusion, True Parents pleaded with God not to abandon Christianity, and its foundation. So in the 1970s True Parents went to the US and awakened it from its slumber when it was under the great threat of communism. True Parents educated young people in America and sent them as missionaries around the world. They have worked with an unchanging heart in Asia, Africa, etc. As a result, extraordinary results are coming.

This nation does not depend on politicians, on any one individual. Heavenly Parent is the creator. It is only when we attend God in our families and society that we can have hope for the future. The Busan area is famous for giving birth to outstanding leaders but they have not known about True Parents.

I have proclaimed the era of the Pacific Rim civilization. We should all join the stream of the Asia-Pacific providence, amazing results are being achieved by our youth and second generation and blessed families.

Our MC mentioned this is the era where the unified Silla kingdom flourished. This can be the homeland of our Heavenly Parent. Let us draw the map of a unified, heavenly Korea together. At our center is Heavenly Parent and True Parents. Please do not forget this, whether you are a FFWPU member or an ambassador for peace. Please become leaders who bring about the Heavenly Unified Korea!

Flowers were then offered to Mother by the Daegu district church leader and his wife, following which all made a Pledge of Determination, led by one of Korea's five Sub-regional leaders. Everyone pledged to testify to True Parents' work, to accomplish heavenly tribal messiahship and to build the model of Cheon Il Guk in their region.

Young students then filled the area in front of the stage and the aisles from the front to the back of the huge hall and danced the signature dance of the youth to the song "Unconditional [mu-jo-gon]." As she watched, Mother looked at peace and her face was alight with a soft but very kindly smile.

The main event was then brought to a traditional Korean conclusion with 3 mighty cheers of Eok Mansei before a longer entertainment session – for which True Mother stayed – and a lottery for a good number of prizes took the event on another hour or so.

We Must Succeed on Earth

We cannot just speak any longer. The time is now. I told you this was your golden age. It is only the golden age while I am still here. Therefore, you blessed families, especially leaders, during this golden age, as those who carry this responsibility must be victorious. You cannot postpone this any further.

Families who have succeeded as tribal messiahs, you cannot stop there. When going toward the victory of the greater goal of national restoration tribal messiahs must have the goal of becoming national messiahs. If 80 percent of you do this, you have already passed to the higher ground. Passing to the higher ground means you have realized national restoration. Families that have fulfilled their tribal messiah mission, if you are diligent, make the nation your goal and go forward as national messiahs. Furthermore, Korean members, I have said Korea is God's homeland. It is the homeland of all humankind. We have to have complete victory, don't we? In this position, we must proclaim to the world.

We do not have much time to do this. So, as we start this year, especially in the spring, farmers grow very busy. If they do not work busily, in the fall harvest, they will not have good results. It is the same here. The goal of our Family Federation for a Heavenly Korea is national restoration, restoration of the homeland! Should we run towards this goal or go toward it without haste? We are busy. From when you wake up in the morning to when you sleep at night you must attend Heaven. Reflect and repent on whether you fulfilled your responsibilities as a true child to True Parents. You must live a life in which you once again make the determination to without fail produce results leading to your goal. If you do not do this, you will miss this opportunity.

This was why I divided Korea into five sub-regions. Since then, I have heard that centered on Chung Pyung's president, Ki-seong Lee, has lit a fire. Will that fire come up from the North? Will it come up from Gangwon Province? You must have a competition in good faith. Do you understand? Thus it is good for each district to produce many Tribal Messiah families. I would like to ask those who have already fulfilled their Tribal Messiah responsibility to head toward the greater goal and to do their best until they pass the high ground of victory in the position of national level tribal messiahs.

Our course and Christianity's

The early years of the beginning of Christianity was truly life or death. From within an environment lacking understanding, Christians waited with a single heart for Jesus Christ who prophesized he would return. They were fed to lions and boiled in pots of hot oil. During the history of the early years of Christianity, Christians experienced the greatest pain to their physical bodies but still unchangingly followed God's will. You here today have been reborn through the victorious True Parents. You are blessed families. If there is persecution around you, is it anything in comparison to the persecution two thousand years ago? It is nothing. In the future when you go to spirit world, when you meet those people you will feel embarrassed. For that not to happen you must fulfill your responsibility. These historical truths!

You must enlighten all people until everyone knows this. You must teach them. That is the only way to liberate those [Christians] who died miserable and horrible deaths. Christianity... The door to Christianity still has not completely opened to us. Yet they too must know True Parents. They must know the Family Federation. Through knowing the Family Federation, this will ascend back to their ancestors, those people [who suffered]. Shouldn't we liberate them? That is what you must do. To do this, they must know this. They must know the truth of history. You must teach them this truth. Go to the largest Christian church in Korea and in front of their door and proclaim "I will give the Sunday sermon! The Messiah you have been waiting for has come! True Parents' providence centered on the Messiah is unfolding rapidly around the world in this way. If you still cling to the past and do not wake up, you're past will become one of not fulfilling your responsibility. Therefore I have come today to save you! I have come as the Messiah of this church and of Christianity!" Go out and proclaim this. Take the challenge! What are you afraid of? Will you do this or will you not? You must wake up those who are sleeping. You cannot leave them to sleep forever. I am telling you all to become messiahs. Do you understand? You must go out and confidently proclaim, "We attend the substantial Holy Spirit, True Mother! What are you afraid of?" Can you do this? Aju!

2018 Hyojeong Prayer-Wish Ceremony for Restoration and inheritance of Heavenly Fortune

A new age and new history has begun in this sixth year of Cheon Il Guk. Beloved blessed families and members from around the world, I pray you all can become people who do their utmost to be loyal, filial and full of deep love in the presence of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, who have given us spring in the providence. Providential spring, the spring season that begins a new year is the season when farmers who must bear fruit have to do their best in order to produce a hopeful harvest in the future. As we welcome the spring in Cheon Il Guk, blessed families, you must fulfill the responsibilities of three generations: the past, present, and future. You must fulfill your responsibilities to go toward the day, which Heavenly Parent our Creator wished to realize, when we achieve a world with no relationship to the Fall.

In order to fulfill these responsibilities, each blessed family must fulfill their heavenly tribal messiah responsibilities. Those of you who have realized your responsibilities as tribal messiahs must then realize your responsibilities as messiahs on a national foundation. Then united, on the foundation of fulfilling your responsibilities as national messiahs, you must head out to the world and fulfill your responsibilities as global messiahs. This is the Heavenly direction you've been given. I fervently wish this becomes a time for the blessed families gathered here today and the blessed families all across the world—who should thank and give praise for Heavenly Parents’ infinite love—to resolve to become blessed families who are filial children, patriots and saints who unite and without fail realize Heavenly Parent’s dream while True Parents, True Mother, is still alive. I pray once again that you all become people who complete our national responsibilities, which are our first goal toward reaching our promise to Heaven regarding 2020.

Find True Parents' Courage inside You - To young members at the Vienna Hilton Hotel

True Mother spoke to young members at the Vienna Hilton Hotel on April 30, the same day as the Victory Celebration. This was her message to them that day.

Are you in the second generation? You should be proud of your parents. You must love True Parents, whom your parents love. I have spoken about many things in Europe but what I want to ask of you relates to those of the first generation, your parents, who in the most difficult environments, followed Heaven’s will with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. They stood on the front line, putting their lives on the line with this heart, working underground during the communist era. Mission Butterfly, I’m sure you have all heard about this. You must continue that tradition, so you can fulfil your parents’ wish, which going further, is Heavenly Parents’ wish and the wish of all humankind, to realize one human family that attends Heavenly Parent.

However, the situation of the world’s 7.5 billion people today is that many people do not know of True Parents’ manifestation. To live over a hundred years in your physical body is difficult. Yet after the Fall, even though people did not know the providence, their hearts were still pulled toward goodness and the four great religions emerged. More than attachment to their physical lives, they lived believing that the spiritual life, the life in the eternal world was even more important.

Learn from the past

From history, we can see this in the Egyptian culture in Africa. The pyramids... At that time, four thousand years ago, there was no method to construct them. There was no iron or cement. So, how did they raise the pyramids, which rise higher than fourteen stories?

Their kings, while they lived in their physical bodies were unable to leave behind great palaces like those in Europe. This was because those were made of dirt but the Pyramids, which they built for the future, were made of stone. This means that they lived with the concept that the spiritual world, the afterlife, was more important.

You must know this: It took the long period of six thousand years until the true parents with the title “True Parents” could emerge. Heavenly Parent went through a sad, difficult, sorrowful six-thousand-year history. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ emerged to become the True Parent who could give rebirth to humankind. However, the Israelites, figures in Judaism and Mary, did not fulfil their responsibilities. After the long period of four thousand years, Jesus, God’s only son, died on the cross after a short life. We cannot call this salvation. Do you know what he prophesized when he died? He prophesized that he would return. He said he would return to hold the marriage banquet of the Lamb. Are you in the second generation? You should be proud of your parents. You must love True Parents, whom your parents love. I have spoken about many things in Europe but what I want to ask of you relates to those in the first generation, your parents, who in the most difficult environments, followed Heaven's will with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. They stood on the front line, putting their lives on the line with this heart, working underground during the communist era. Mission Butterfly, I'm sure you have all heard about this. You must continue that tradition so you can fulfill your parents' wish, which going further, is Heavenly Parents' wish and the wish of all humankind, to realize one human family that attends Heavenly Parent.

However, the situation of the world's 7.5 billion people today is that many people do not know of True Parents' manifestation. To live over a hundred years in your physical body is difficult.
