Distinguished citizens of the United States and honorable delegates of the world:
I would like to speak to you today on the subject “God’s Hope for America.” But first of all, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of you for coming today and being part of this record crowd.
Here in this grand Yankee Stadium we have gathered to celebrate America’s two-hundredth birthday. Among this year’s many celebrations, our festival at Yankee Stadium is unique for the following reasons: first, we have gathered together in the name of God; and second, we are having an international celebration. Representatives from all over the world are here for this joyous celebration.
Today we are living in an age when we need to look at every individual and every nation as vital components of the world. In our world, there are basically two ways of life. One is the selfish way of life, and the other is the unselfish way of life, where one thinks beyond oneself and one’s family and lives for the greater purpose of the nation and the world. Throughout history, whether in the East or the West, those who played important roles were public-minded, selfless persons.
The well-being of the family has to come before that of the individual, the nation needs to come before the family, the world before the nation, and God before the world. This is the philosophy of the selfless way of life. The righteous men and women and saints in history were those people who selflessly sacrificed for God and humankind. Jesus Christ is indeed the supreme example of such a righteous man.
It is really God, however, who is supremely selfless, supremely public-minded. When human beings rebelled against Him, God did not take revenge; He forgave. And God has been working tirelessly to raise sinful people up out of sin into salvation. To do this, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ. Even at the cost of sacrificing His Son, God wanted to save the world. God erected Israel as the chosen nation. The purpose of the chosen nation is also to save the world. And God elevated Christianity for the same purpose -- to save the world.
The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Remember, the world is God’s goal. And just as Jesus willingly gave his life so that the world might live, God wanted all Christians to be willing to give themselves for the salvation of the world. However, today, Christians of the world are not even close to realizing this heart of God.
God seeks to build one family of humanity. Therefore, the family, church and nation that God desires transcend all barriers of race and nationality. The people who are a unified blending of all colors of skin and who transcend race and nationality are most beautiful in the sight of God and most pleasing to Him. Let us look at America. It is most important that we know whether the United States of America was conceived by God or not. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my firm belief that the United States of America was indeed conceived by God.
There were, however, two kinds of people among your forebears. One kind came to this land seeking wealth. The other kind came to this land seeking God and freedom. They dreamed of building a new nation with God at its center. If the former had become the mainstream of America, there would have been far greater strife, division and struggle between the different races and national groups. The United States would have been filled with unrighteousness and injustice. From the beginning, however, God intervened. Therefore, of all the immigrants, the righteous people of God were to find their proper place as leaders in America. All the different races and nationalities of the world harmonized in this land to create God-centered families, churches and the nation of America. Your forebears set the beautiful tradition of America.
Look at your own families. Most families have the virtue of a distinct international character. If your lineage has been in America for some time, it probably unites many different nationalities. In your bloodstream many kinds of blood are blended together. Nations that used to be enemies have united in your blood. When the individual and families that transcend racial and national barriers gather together to create a church, a society and a nation, that nation will become God’s ideal nation for all peoples.
There is only one nation like this in all of history -- the United States of America. It is apparent that this unique nation of America is the creation of God. The people of America have come from every corner of the world. To be an American does not depend upon what race you are, what belief you have or what cultural background you are from. It is only in this nation that no matter where you are from, you can say, “This is my country.” That is America!
America is a microcosm of the world. Transcending nationality and race, America has created a model for the ideal world. God Himself had purposely hidden this land of America from the rest of the world until His time was full, and then upon this land God raised up this model nation. In His providence, God anointed America with oil; He poured out abundant blessing upon this land. In a short two hundred years, God raised this nation to be the mightiest nation on earth.
But blessing always comes with responsibility. If one forsakes the responsibility, one also forsakes God’s blessing. Inevitably the blessing of God will leave, and the nation doing this will decline. Is it not true that the signs of such decline are already apparent in America today? Beloved American people, the time has come for us to repent. We must fear the wrath of God.
In reality, who are the true Americans? True Americans are those who have a universal mind. True Americans are those who believe in the one family of humankind, transcendent of color and nationality as willed by God. True Americans are those who are proud of international families and churches, and a nation consisting of all peoples. In the sight of God, there is no black, there is no white, there is no yellow. We must look at the human race as God sees it. America must return to the true founding spirit of the nation, to the ideals that her ancestors sought to establish with sweat and blood. America must return to Godism, an absolutely God-centered ideology.
God is the motivation, the cause and the foundation of the independence of America. America was born through the providence of God. If we are centered upon God, we will remain united and enjoy prosperity. However, as soon as we turn away from God, we will be divided.
Ladies and gentlemen, if America wants to keep the blessing of God as the leading nation of the world, it must form a partnership with God. Do you have God in your homes? Do you truly have God in your church? Do you have God in your society and nation? God is the cement. With God, America will stay together like concrete. But if God leaves, she will be like sand. When the flood comes, everything will be washed away.
America’s greatness and pride stem from God. With Him, America deserves the blessing and can remain as the mightiest nation. With God, you can preserve your dignity and the leadership of the world. If you allow God to leave America, however, this nation will decline; satanic hands will subjugate it. When this happens, the future of America will be dismal, tragic. America will become a living hell.
When God’s blessing is great, and one forsakes God’s Will, God’s punishment is equally great. In the early 1960s, America seemed to be the hope of the world, and the symbol of America was New York City. Today, however, the world has lost faith in America, and New York City has become a jungle of immorality and depravity. It has been transformed into a city under the attack of evil. Chicago is no different, nor Los Angeles. Throughout all of America, Satan is becoming the master. God has been forgotten in this country, and when forgotten, God can only leave America. Now is the very moment that this is taking place!
When the unifying force of God leaves America, nothing will be able to hold America together. The family will break down, churches will divide and America will become mortally ill because the cells of her body will be decaying. This will be the perfect opportunity for the evil of communism to overtake America. This state of emergency is here now. Someone must do something!
There are critics who say, “Why is Rev. Moon so involved in America’s bicentennial? It is none of his business.” Ladies and gentlemen, if there is an illness in your home, do you not need a doctor from outside? If your home catches fire, do you not need firefighters from outside? God has sent me to America in the role of a doctor, in the role of a firefighter. That is why I have come to America. Good medicine may taste bitter, and an operation may involve some pain, but the treatment must begin at once. Would a patient complain and push away the doctor’s hand when he touches the infected part?
For the last three years, with my entire heart and soul I have been teaching American youth the deepest truth of God. They now have a clear concept of what a God-centered family, church and nation is. They also know the threatening reality America is facing. Thus, they have become determined fighters to bring new life and salvation to America before it is too late. They know the critical state of the nation. They know the grieving heart of God. And they are absolutely determined to turn the tide back toward God. Their enthusiasm is beautiful to behold.
Your dedicated sons and daughters are champions of God crusading for the victory of God’s Will. As God’s front line, they are declaring war against evil. They are courageously fighting this noble battle. We must overcome evil. It is our mission to build the kingdom of God here on earth. Therefore, we must build a model of the kingdom of God right here in America, which God loves and has prepared the most.
Ladies and gentlemen, remember that these young people are working tirelessly. Their hearts are filled with tears and sighs, in order to create a world free of tears and sighs. These young people are struggling, agonizing over their mission to create a world free of struggle and agony. Our battle is God’s battle against Satan. For the sake of God, we will never retreat; we will win, whatever the sacrifice may be.
It is not important whether I am persecuted or not. I am concerned only about the Will of God and the mission God gave me. I am concerned that your rejection of me could result in the rejection of God. I am concerned that without knowing the situation clearly, you may be opposing God’s Will. If what I am doing is not the Will of God, it will not succeed anyway. If, however, what I am doing is the Will of God, then no matter how much some people reject and persecute us and try to block the way, this mission will succeed.
Why has Reverend Moon come to America where he has encountered such tribulation? Am I pursuing my own honor? Is money my goal, or power? No! Never! I came to America because this is the country that God, our Heavenly Father, has chosen. I came to America because I know the heart of God. I know that in spite of America’s rebellion against Him,
God will not abandon this country. His Will is to make America an example of a godly nation that the nations of the world can follow. I know God’s Will is to save the world, and to do that, America must lead the way. This is why I came to America. With God you can win; with Satan you will fail.
Ladies and gentlemen, during the American Revolution two hundred years ago, your brave ancestors in the Continental Army fought in the American War of Independence with faith in God. George Washington knelt at Valley Forge seeking divine intervention, and he and his army were able to win over the formidable British army. Only through divine intervention could he win the war and America’s independence. At that moment, God laid the foundation of land for America.
Approximately one hundred years later when, contrary to God’s Will, slavery and segregation were rampant here in America, God raised up Abraham Lincoln as His champion and brought about the victory of the Civil War, liberating the slaves and affirming equality for all people. By doing so, God laid the foundation of people for America, transcending race and nationality. Yet this was an external test. Today, a century later, America is undergoing another test. This time the test is an internal or spiritual one. It is a religious, historical and ideological test. On the other side of the world, the God-denying ideology of communism has risen up and is undertaking an all-out offensive against the free world.
Destroying America is the communists’ ultimate goal. They know America is God’s final bulwark on earth. More than anything else, this is a test of whether America will stand as God’s nation, or fall.
America cannot win this battle alone. She needs God. In this test you cannot win without God, who is the foundation of all truth and all goodness. A confrontation is inevitable between the two worlds -- the Godaffirming world and the God-denying world. This is a confrontation of worldviews. Therefore, as a champion of God, America must win over atheistic communism in the battle of ideas on the worldwide scale, on the foundation of the unity of races and nationalities. Our faith in God has to be stronger than communists’ faith in communism. America must win in the name of God. Then God will be able to establish His foundation, a new worldview of a higher dimension.
America’s forebears fled from religious persecution in Europe and came to the New World. In the spirit of building One Nation under God, they established a new nation here in America, which is now at the threshold of her third century. Similarly today, people are fleeing from the communist world of slavery to the free world. Many were persecuted for their religious beliefs and ideological differences. The time has come to unite them to build a new world centered upon God. The free world must unite and liberate the enslaved communist world. This time our task is to build One World under God.
To accomplish this, world Christianity must unite. The church needs to liberate herself from sectarianism. She has to undergo drastic reform and achieve ecumenical and interreligious unity. For this we need a spiritual revolution. We need a new teaching, and this should incorporate Eastern philosophy, uniting the cultures of the East and the West.
This new teaching will also be capable of unifying all the existing religions and philosophies of the world. Therefore, it has to come in the form of a new religious or spiritual movement. The Unification Church movement has been created by God to fulfill that mission. This spiritual movement must succeed first here in America in order to spread throughout the world. The new teaching that the Unification Church brings is Godism, an absolutely God-centered worldview. It has the power to awaken America, and it has the power to raise the model of the ideal nation of God upon this land.
With that done, the rest of the world will follow America’s example and will build the kingdom of God upon their respective lands. Then we shall all truly become brothers and sisters under one Father, God. This will be a world of love, a world of happiness. Our planet will be one home, and humankind will be one family. God’s Will, His long-cherished desire from the beginning of time, will finally be fulfilled. This will be the eternal, ideal world of God. Indeed, it will be the kingdom of God on earth. We will build it with our hands.
This is our supreme mission. It is truly our God-given, sacred mission. God is crying out to the world, and we are His instruments. The world must respond to His call. Listen to God’s commandment. Initiate a courageous march toward the kingdom of God on earth. Whatever the difficulty, let it not stop us. Our march is God’s, and it will go on to the end.
My beloved citizens of America, today let us pledge to God Almighty our loyalty and dedication to the fulfillment of this divine mission. Ladies and gentlemen, in the name of God, let us unite and together build the kingdom of God on earth!
Let us together offer our collective thanks to God. In the name of the people of the world, may I congratulate you on the two-hundredth birthday of the great nation of America. May God bless you, and may God bless America and her third century.

New Yorker Hotel Is Sold to Church of the Rev. [Sun Myung] Moon

The Unification Church, which is headed by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, announce last night that it had bought the 2,000-room New Yorker Hotel.
Details of the purchase and 'its part in the church's drive o restore confidence in the City of New York," are to be discussed at a news conference this morning at the organization's current national headquarters, at 4 West 43rd Street, a spokesman said.
The hotel, at Eighth Avenue and 34th Street, has been vacant for More than a year, according to an official of the Hilton Hotels Corporation who earlier yesterday confirmed that negotiations for the sale of the hotel were under way.
The New Yorker presumably will serve as the American headquarters for the 22-year-old Unification Church. The church says it has three million members worldwide, including 30,000 in the United States.
Its present headquarters on 43rd Street once housed the Columbia University Club. The church bought the eight-story structure a year ago for $1.2 million.
The Unification Church has amassed large-scale holdings in Westchester County around Tarrytown and in Duchess County.
The 41-story New Yorker closed in 1972 after 42 years as one of the city's largest hotels
Mr. Moon, a Korean evangelist, and his church have been involved in controversy as parents in various parts of the country have charged that the church has "brainwashed" their children into becoming adherents and into becoming hostile to their parents. Church officials have denied this and insist that the complaining parents are relatively few and have been influenced by false reports.

Sun Myung Moon was the fifth of eight children born to a rural family in northern Korea. He became known in early childhood for the qualities of righteousness and perseverance, occasionally righting an injustice simply by protesting longer and more vehemently than its adult perpetrators could stand. At age 10 his whole family converted to Christianity and his personal depth began to be stimulated in a special way: I had a very strong desire to live a life of high dimension. When I was 12 years old, I started praying for extraordinary things. I asked for wisdom greater than Solomon's, for faith greater than the Apostle Paul's and for love greater than the love Jesus had.
Reverend Moon initially thought he would express these ideals through becoming a scholar and professor. At one point he envisioned himself the possessor of three doctoral degrees! In his early teens, however, his view began to change. Knowing the suffering of humankind in the past and the present, he realized that future generations would experience the same fate unless something was done on a larger scale. Therefore, he began to look beyond scholarship for a broader way to express his concern.
On Easter morning of 1935, Jesus appeared to him to talk about his future life. Jesus explained God's desire to establish His Kingdom on Earth and presented the need for someone on earth to take up this mission. He asked Reverend Moon to assume the responsibility. Recognizing the seriousness of accepting such a request, Reverend Moon struggled with the decision. Ultimately, however, he did accept and the course of his life began to take shape.
Over the next nine years, he received the revelation which is now presented in the Divine Principle. God's revelation comes only in response to man's questioning. Therefore, these years were essentially a time of deep and arduous search. The revelation was received progressively through prayer, study of all religious scriptures, meditation, spiritual communication with such persons as Jesus, Moses and Buddha, and direct communication with God. At the end of this time, Reverend Moon had been led by God to solve a vast spiritual puzzle, and was now ready to bring this revelation to the world.

While he was internally involved with this spiritual search, keeping it a secret from his family and friends, he was externally continuing with his schooling. In 1938 he went to Seoul to study electrical engineering. After graduating there, he continued his studies in Japan.
Korea was liberated from Japan after World War II and Reverend Moon then began his public ministry. Pyongyang, in northern Korea, was at that time a stronghold of Christianity. Indeed, it was referred to as the "Jerusalem of the East." Also, however, a Communist form of government was taking hold there. Knowing the threat to Christianity that Communism posed, Reverend Moon decided to go to Pyongyang. He arrived in June of 1946:
In Pyongyang his message was eagerly received and he quickly gained disciples. Their active dedication stimulated jealousy in established Christian churches who reported Reverend Moon as a heretic to the Communist-controlled government. Seeking to play upon any divisions among an otherwise strong Christian community and particularly concerned to terminate his anticommunism, the Communists arrested him, tortured and beat him, and finally left him for dead. Found by members of his congregation, he soon regained his health and began his work again.
His work continued to prosper but in February of 1948 he was re-arrested. This time, he was sentenced to a labor camp further north at Hungnam. In essence, this was a death camp. Men were given a cup of rice a Sun Myung Moon in the early 1950s This shack, built with rocks, earth and cardboard boxes, is where he lived and taught in 1951-52 day and generally were worked to death. Few survived longer than six months.
Sun Myung Moon's extraordinary character is reflected in his attitude toward this situation. He resolved to surpass the virtually unreachable work quotas. He did, and was ultimately given an award for his work record. Also, rather than seeking to be comforted, he sought to comfort God. Explaining this, he said: The Father knows me so well. He already knew my suffering. How could I tell Him about (it) and cause His heart to grieve still more. I could only tell Him I would never be defeated by my suffering.

One episode at Hungnam reveals Reverend Moon's human sensitivity. A number of prisoners received rice powder from their families outside and kept it in closed bags on which they slept. Reverend Moon received a bag which he kept in a corner. One morning a noticeable portion of the rice was gone.
Although he said nothing, other prisoners found the criminal and brought him for punishment. To their surprise, Reverend Moon stated "How hungry he must have been. Let him eat as much as he wants just one time before he dies." When the embarrassed man apologized and said he could not eat, Reverend Moon insisted, saying it was no sin to eat when one was hungry. The man then took the bag.
The Korean War broke out in June of 1950. In October of that year, the surviving prisoners at Hungnam were liberated by a United Nations landing force. After his release, Reverend Moon returned to Pyongyang to try to locate each of his former followers. Most were gone and only two followers, one of whom had a broken leg, returned with him to the South. He arrived there in Pusan in January of 1951, having transported the one person on his back on a bicycle for over 600 miles!
In Pusan, Reverend Moon worked as a laborer on the docks and started his spiritual work again. Active in that area was a woman evangelist who heard of two men living in a shack on a hill. She came to meet them and teach them. After two meetings in which the woman spoke and prayed, she asked Reverend Moon to pray. He did. She was quickly struck by the depth and power of his prayer, and then asked Reverend Moon to speak. She subsequently became the first female disciple in South Korea.
In 1953 Reverend Moon moved to Seoul and in 1954 he officially formed the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity. His marriage in 1960 was a turning point in his life and the life of the Church. Married now for 16 years and the father of eight children, his family life has been a great inspiration to other families in the Church, For Reverend Moon, the family is the key element in building the Kingdom of God.
The reason is that the love of the family is the central place where God and man are to meet. In Reverend Moon's words, In finding God, you must have three kinds of love: love from your parents, love with your mate and love for your children. These three loves must be combined in one in you.
Early in his life, Reverend Moon recognized that God desired this ideal to be substantiated and that building such a family was a central aspect of his own mission. Therefore, this has been his goal. It is also the goal to which he is leading others. In his teaching sessions with Church members, he frequently discusses the centrality of the family in building a new world. Also, for prospective marriage partners, his practice is to discuss in depth the attitudes and actions necessary for God to be a part of the marriage.
A unique aspect of Reverend Moon's work is his performance of simultaneous weddings for many couples. For him and for those who participate in them, these weddings symbolize the ultimate unity of mankind. After a series of mass marriages in the 1960's, consisting primarily of Korean men and women, Reverend Moon sponsored the first international mass marriage in 1970. This involved 791 couples from 10 countries.
In 1975, he married 1800 couples from 20 nations. In these later weddings, he encouraged those who want to marry inter-culturally or interracially to do so. This is one way in which he seeks to bring greater understanding and unity among the world's peoples.
In the 1960's Reverend Moon concentrated on developing the different works of the Church in Korea and Japan. This included strengthening its membership base through evangelism, establishing an economic A recent picture of Rev. and Mrs. Moon and seven of their eight children foundation for the Church by starting a number of businesses and spreading a superior ideological alternative to Marxism.
By 1965, the foundation for the Korean Church was sufficiently enough established to allow Reverend Moon to move to his broader mission. In that year he took his first world tour, travelling to forty nations, including the United States.

In 1969, he visited America again, remaining about a month. During this time he blessed thirteen American couples in marriage. At the end of 1971 he returned, staying this time about three months. During this trip he inaugurated his first public speaking tour, addressing audiences in seven major American cities. This tour is regarded as the formal beginning in America of his international ministry.
On a personal level, Reverend Moon would have preferred to remain in Korea. There, he spoke the language, was familiar with the culture and was surrounded by his family and long-term supporters. Coming to America involved abandoning all this in favor of an unfamiliar culture and uncertain acceptance. Nevertheless, he saw clearly that the salvation of the world depended on America and he felt that God had called him to come. As a confirmation that God had called him here, the America Church has truly blossomed since his arrival.
After his initial "Day of Hope" speaking tour in 1972, he initiated a 21-city tour in 1973. The response to this tour was very encouraging, prompting him to begin almost immediately a further tour in early 1974. This tour brought him to 32 more cities. He spoke two nights in each city and completed the tour in 64 days. Later that same year he travelled to eight more cities, including New York where he spoke to an overflow crowd at Madison Square Garden. In 1976 his work in America will continue through the Bicentennial God Bless America Festival.
Just as he broadened the focus of his work from the Orient to America in the early 70's, he envisions working in other nations in the future. In the meantime, in his speaking tours as well as his daily efforts, he is pouring himself out to set up a new foundation for God's work in this country. His sincere hope is to be able to awaken all Americans to a new relationship with God and a new commitment to building His Kingdom. Through this, he believes, the greatest blessing can come to America and the world.
Conclusion
Throughout history God has summoned great spiritual leaders at different times and places, according to the need and His purpose. Preeminent among such men is Jesus Christ. Likewise, Abraham, Moses, Buddha and Confucius are examples of men whose work arose out of God's creative endeavor.
Today, Reverend Moon has come with a vitally needed message. He addresses a world which has newly become a "global village." In this new world, the various members affect each other as never before. For example there was a time when activities of the Arab nations had no effect on American driving habits. Such times have passed. Interdependence among nations is now a reality.
As separate elements become more interrelated, they need to become more unified. It is the only way to survive. In this century, thus, the need for global unity has intensified. We have sought this unity through such organizations as the League of Nations and the United Nations. Also, nations and races have organized themselves into blocs and are beginning to interact as such.
Our task today is to carry these efforts through and establish a lasting world unity. We must unite to guarantee our own survival. The possibilities of nuclear warfare, resource depletion and world food shortages make it imperative.
Into such an era, then, Reverend Moon has come. In stressing worldwide unity and love, and the spiritual approach required to achieve these goals, he is teaching the values urgently needed in our age. This message, so dearly appropriate to our time, is no historical accident -- it is a manifestation of God's eternal presence in the world.
The Will of God

Our world is certainly in a state of confusion -- economically, militarily, and ideologically. In this confusion, God wants to move this world towards a culmination of ideal. However, there is one important principle. When God fulfills His will, He cannot do it Himself. He has to go through men and women. We are the instruments of God.
As you know, man coasts of two major elements. One is spirit or mind, and the other is body. This physical body has a limitation.
That limitation gets narrower as our life goes on, so that it comes to an end. However, the spiritual side, the world of the mind, has no limitation. As you go on, it will expand without any limitation. When you say, I embrace the world, you certainly do not mean that you embrace it with your physical limited body. You are embracing it with the mind. Your heart, your mind, your thought embraces the world. When we think of the providence of God or the will of God, how can we embrace the great thought of God? Certainly not with our limited body, but only with the unlimited world of mind.
We conclude that this body is merely a vehicle for our spirit and our mind. Therefore, by completely becoming one with the mind, this body is serving its purpose. Then what will bring unity between mind and body? Do you yourself make that unity or does somebody else create it for you? You do it yourself. You have the power in yourself to unite mind and body right now. Man's agony throughout history has been the result of separation between his mind and body. We are seeking the ideal: How can we bring these two things together going in one direction? But right now, in the fallen state, both are going in fallen directions.
What is the true man?
What is the state of true man? The righteous man or true man is the man whose body is united with his mind at the center, not whose mind is subjugated by his body. Then that mind must be centered upon love.
You don't know the definition of yourself. You ask: Who am I? What am I based on, this body or my mind? What kind of person do I want to become? This is really the most fundamental question of man. There are two different I's. As a son or daughter, my parents give me birth. That's one me. I am the center of this universe. Where do I want to stand? Where am I standing now? What is my permanent position? We must discover the true I. That is, the mind as subject, the body as object united together with mind, become completely in harmony. That I, my true I, will control my mind and also control my body.
But throughout history, there has been a struggle between mind and body. The mind and body are always pursuing separate purposes, going in different directions; there is no united I to be found. When you have two directions -- when both mind and body are going in separate directions -- there can be no happiness. Once you have found complete unity between mind and body, then you are parallel with the Universal Being. You are a son of the universe. Through that, I God will fulfill His providence. God is seeking such a man. And we desire to become such men. It is God's will to create such men, to search for such men; through them, God's providence will progress. That person walks side by side with God and is the champion for God's cause.
The topic of today's message is the providence or the will of God. First of all, what is the will of men? The will of men cannot solely be for the purpose of men, or oneself. The will of man has to be parallel with the will of God. The will of God is for the universal purpose, in which everybody can be included, everybody can find their happiness. No one can avoid standing side by side with God or within the will of God.
God's will is eternal and unchanging
Is God's will changing day to day, hour to hour? God was working with the Christians in the Roman Empire in the fourth century, and God is working with the Unification Church today. God's will has not changed. God is eternal, unchanging and unique. Therefore, God's will is also eternal, unchanging and unique. Centuries change day to day, year to year. However, God's will penetrates the backbone of that history. The will of God has never changed, though the application or the method to fulfill the will of God has to change from one time to another. Since we cannot move straight to the goal history has gone a circular way. But man does not realize we are moving in this pattern. Man does not see because we are too shortsighted. We are making a great circle.
What is the fall of man? The fall of man is his deviation from his original perfected state. We are like a machine that is out of order. Because of that, there has been a contradiction between our mind and body. The mind is in subject position but the body wants to play the subject role. Plus and plus repel each other, so there is no harmony. The perfect plus is mind. The body should become a perfect minus. Then you don't have to even ask them to unite; they automatically unite.
The permanent plus in this universe is God. Representing God, our mind is like a microcosm of the universe; it is also plus. When God is plus, God's creation is in the position of minus. When my mind is in the plus position, then my physical body is in the minus position. When they are united into oneness, is there struggle, is there fighting among themselves? No.
If there had been no fall, no effort would be needed to unify. Unity would be automatic. But because of the fall of man, another illegal plus or subject has come into being; that is Satan, and Satan is based on the body, the physical world, the things of creation. This is Satan's base.
The struggle between mind and body
God is based on the invisible mind and invisible spirit world. That is God's territory. God's territory and Satan's territory both want to play plus, so they repel each other. Both pluses are trying to get all of creation as their permanent domain. They struggle for who is going to get hegemony. How about you? Don't you have some struggle between your mind and your body every day? Your body will say: go ahead, take care of yourself. Go ahead, have the good portion of the meal. Don't worry about others. You must take care of yourself, your body. You need the nourishment. Your body is talking to you every day, isn't that true? On the other hand, your mind says: go ahead, help others. Give other people first chance. Serve others, tens of millions of people. Give your love. Give your service. Give your sacrifice. This is your mind talking to you. The mind is also in a way very cruel in its mandate. Give yourself totally to the entire world. That's not all. Not only mankind but you must also love animals, nature and all things of creation.
Satan on his side is trying to be big boss. Material is everything. The goal is everything. Serve yourself. You are the most important. Be self-centered. You are the center of everything. But God says no. Mind is the center. The mind is everything. Which one is the original standard? This is a visible microphone, but this is a minus position. What is the plus then? What is the subject of this microphone? Before this microphone was ever created, there was the idea for this microphone. That invisible idea which designed the microphone is the plus, the subject. But people say: No, I don't care about that. I can see this so this is the plus.
The false ideology of Communism says that there is no such thing as spirit world. There is no such thing as spirit body and eternal life. Material is the best. But Christian people say there is a heaven and a spiritual world, and these are more important. There is a struggle between two ideological schools. That's the battle we are in.
The most precious things are invisible
Visible, material things always deteriorate. Invisible things, do you think they will deteriorate? When you get older, your body gets older. However, does your mind get older? There is one beautiful lady probably older than most of you are, but her mind is just as beautiful as you are. In a way her mind is much more beautiful because it is matured. That does not mean aged, but more perfected, more glowing and polished. A grandfather, before he passes away, leaves his will. We read that will very seriously because it is sacred. He wrote down his lifetime experiences, something he wanted to leave to his posterity, his children. The grandfather knows he cannot leave his body to posterity, but only his ideas, his thoughts. The most precious things are invisible.
What is the origin of the mind? Communists say the mind is an illusion. You think there is a mind because you think. Can the material create the mind? Can the material paint an ideal or create beauty, love? When you ask such questions of atheists and materialists, they say: don't worry about that. Worry about what to eat, what to wear, how to live, how to enjoy yourself. Don't worry about your ideal. Just worry about your hungry stomach. But man was not created to be that simple. That ideology is wrong. That cannot really cope with all the human aspects of life. Our life is much more complicated.
So the invisible mind cannot originate from the visible material world. The invisible world has to originate from an invisible source. That's most logical. What is that invisible source? That is the universal ideal mind in the universe, which we ca t God.
So we come to the conclusion that the ideal way of life is to find ourselves in God, mind and body united together in God. To find God and try to fulfill His will in our lifetime, that is the ideal way of life. What is the will of God? What is God trying to accomplish? That is nothing else but the perfection of God and the perfection of men together; that summarizes the will of God.
Man's ideal is to unite with God
What is man's will? It is to find God and to be united with God. That is our desire. We want to find God and become united with Him. Somebody told you to go ahead and find the ideal. How can you find the ideal? By getting control of all of nature and the world? That's not your ideal. Finding God, to be resting peacefully in God, that's the ideal.
Here in America, how would you like to spend your lives? What would you like to achieve? As far as the American government is concerned, the presidency is the center. Everybody has at some time a certain dream. Women wonder, how can I be a first lady? Is there any chance? Do you think about that? If you are given that position, everybody will say: I am deeply honored. It's an honorable position, no question about it. Men, if you have ambition you say, one day I want to become the president of the U.S. That's certainly a good ambition. But if I don't become the president, <at least I want to be an equivalently respected man. I want to be respected. I want to lead my life honorably. Every good man thinks that way. This is human nature. Everybody wants to advance himself into the central position. Why do we have that tendency? Because God is like that. We are uniting with the center position, which is God in the universe. In other words, it is a search for God. That tendency is the fulfillment of the desire to be one with God.
One portion of me is plus, one is minus. But when you have two portions, both plus, there is conflict. If God is universal, then I also, in order to communicate with God, should be universal. I should have a universal mind, and a universal body in minus position -- plus and minus.
Would you like to be a person recognized on a worldwide level or just recognized in one small family? In the smaller circle, it is easy. But when you expand to the worldwide level, it becomes most difficult. Why do we take the difficult route? If I just sit idle would everybody come to respect me? On the worldwide level, you have to demonstrate yourself worthy of that honor. You have to recreate yourself, recreate your society, recreate your nation. Your impact must be felt throughout the world. When you become respected on the worldwide level then automatically the nation comes inside that, the society and family as well. So by placing yourself in the center on the worldwide level, you become the center of the nation, the center of the society, the center of the family.
We want to become like God
All these things add up to one conclusion: we all harbor the desire to resemble the personality of God. We want to become like God. God is universal. God is in the subject position. I am in the object position; to be united with Him, I must truly become a universal man. When you are completely one with God, you become like a mirror, a reflection of God's feelings. When God is happy, you are happy. When God is joyful, you are joyful. When God laughs, you laugh. When God is sad, then you are sad. That is the desire of man -- to live side by side and one with God. The will of God is the same thing -- to live together with true man.
Once a great theologian was invited to speak to us in Korea. One of our students asked him: could you teach me precisely what is the will of God? The professor shook his head a little while and then stated: well, that sounds very easy, but it is very difficult to answer. Without knowing crystal clear the will of God, how can we follow that will? What is our answer? We have just one simple sentence that takes care of it all. The fulfillment of the ideal of creation, that's the will of God. Then what is the ideal of creation? To fulfill the purpose of creation. What is that purpose of creation? That men and women become one in love and happiness after they reach perfection. You are perfected when your mind and body, centered upon God, are muted into one. The man and woman, centering upon God, have a double unity: spiritual unity and physical unity. When that is fulfilled, then the ideal of the purpose of creation of God is fulfilled. When men and women are united centering upon the ideal love of God, God is master of their hearts. That's the ideal world.
Actually, God is searching for perfected man. When God and men are united, God is subject; you are the object. However, sometimes men claim: God, let us be subject so You can be object. God will not deny that. He will say, go ahead. Whichever way, as long as you and I are united, we're a happy couple. Between God and man, we'll strike a happy medium. That's the ideal of creation, complete unity between God and man.
Love must include children
But God and Adam and Eve are only one level. There should be another level: the children, offspring. In other words, love must include love of the children. Conjugal love, parental love, and children's love - these three loves together completely represent God's love that will go on forever.
When you get married, you definitely want to have children, don't you? Do you know how painful it is to give birth to a baby? Why do you have to take on such pain? God is very righteous; He prearranged such pain because if you painfully gain your son, that son is more precious.
When you sew and put lots of energy, lots of concentration into it, that particular item you sew will become more beautiful and perfected, more precious. When you create a sculpture, if you put all your heart into it, then that sculpture is more precious to you. Sloppy work never brings preciousness. This is why Jesus said in the first commandment: Love God with all your mind, all your heart, all your soul. Did he leave any room for yourself? Nothing. He called for complete devotion in loving God. When you say all your mind, all your heart, when you say all, a-l-l, the longer the better -- alllllll.
Your body and soul may be in terrible torture or incredible hardship, but if you have the proper perspective, proper will, proper love, knowledge of God, you can persevere through that road of hardships. Then you will ultimately reap a precious treasure. God is looking at you. How much did you persevere through hardship for Me? How much hardship did you go through in the name of God? This is the criteria or test. Go the sacrificial way. Pick up the torture, pick up the hardship for the sake of your husband, your wife, and your children. The amount of energy you expend in loving the members of your family, gives them more preciousness. Invest your energy, your soul, your mind. The degree of investment decides the value.
We are born to sacrifice ourselves
When we come to this realization or noble awakening, then we come to the simple way of life. That is, we realize we are born in this world to sacrifice ourselves. To give of ourselves, that's the precious life. It's simple to say but difficult to live. But once you live this credo, this principle, you will find an unlimited reservoir of value. In that way of life, God's true sons and daughters shall be resurrected. For the eternal God, for His eternal glory, there is nothing I cannot bear. Everything belongs to Him. Use me for Your purpose. I am Your instrument. That kind of attitude is the most blessed kind of life. It will make you saints here on earth.
The road of true love is not an easy road. It's difficult but I'm not crying. I'm joyfully taking that route. Once you reach that realization, there is nothing that cannot make you happy. Think of it: when you get married, do you chink life gets easier? Actually, when you get married if you are very selfishly oriented, that marriage will not last more than three days. But when you totally forget ourselves, then you find meaning in living sacrificially. It is not easy to bring forth a child, your own son or daughter. To be a mother of a child, that is really a totally unselfish way of life: feeding the baby, changing the baby's dirty diapers. Sometimes the baby gets sick, needs doctors and so forth. You have on your shoulders incredible hardship and agony. Why are you willing to take that? Because the joy is greater. When you have love, nothing is impossible. Suppose you get married. Your husband is truly loving to the degree that he can sacrifice his life for your sake. You are a happy person. You are fulfilled as a wife. You can't ask any more. You have everything. When you are united in that kind of love, there's nothing you can't share between the two of you. There is nothing you are stingy about. Only love can make such unity, nothing else. Neither money nor knowledge nor power could bring about a such beautiful relationship; only true love can bring it. It is important for God and important to man. When God and man are united, the whole universe becomes one, because both are universal entities.
The ideal family fulfills God's will
The will of God is the fulfillment of the ideal of creation. The ideal of creation is the fulfillment of the heavenly four positions: God, Adam and Eve, and children. That is a most incredible, most beautiful conclusion. Your husband, your son are God's representative. Look at them as you would look at God. When you are like a child, you can get into the Kingdom of Heaven. That is in the Bible. The child is the visible, innocent form of God. A child is tiny God.
Today's American women are so selfishly oriented in a way. First of all, they deny the responsibility of giving birth to a child. They don't want to have a child. When they have a child, they think it so much burden, so much trouble. Yet that child represents God; so does your husband.
You came into this world to love God. That's your duty; that's your purpose of life. You have no other purpose to live. That's the ideal family. Anybody who dwells in such a home is destined for the kingdom of heaven. But those who do not want such a home are destined toward hell.
Everybody wants to be respected, to lead an honorable life. We want to be respected like God is respected. You truly want to be in the role of God. You would want to embrace such a man -- the visible God walking in front of you. Each one is striving toward that goal. I want to live in that world. How about you?
What does God want? Does He want the same thing, too? You want to live in that world. God certainly wants to live in that world. That's the ideal world. There is no conflict. Man can truly live as God: be born as God, live as God, and go to eternity as God. That's man's role when we complete the heavenly four positions in which the ideal of creation is fulfilled. Within God there is the male characteristic and the female characteristic -- dual essentiality. The male part was manifested in Adam and the female part in Eve. Adam and Eve united together in love truly represent God. In that love, their children can be born. That's the point -- men and women become one. Horizontally, vertically, all are united into one central point. When men and women are united into one, actually the whole universe is united together in microcosm.
So we come to the conclusion that unless you know God, love God and love the universe a husband and wife can't truly be happy. The entire universe is within you. God's ideal, God's will is fulfilled in the home. And where does the purpose of religion lie? The destination of religion is also the family. Is this your home? No, this is a church. We are in the process of returning to homes. Once we restore happy, heavenly homes, we won't even need the church. Eventually, our church will be filled with families, everybody united into one big family unit.
We desperately need three elements for the ideal of God. First, of course, is His ideal of creation. Second, God's love. Third is the family of God. God needs these three and we also need those three elements. That's God's will. To obtain a heavenly family is the ideal of creation.
Within you, find God's ideal
Within you, find the purpose of life. Within you, find fulfillment. Within you, find God's ideal, God's love. Within you, find God's home. You are the creator of the ideal home. You are the instrument to make yourself whole. You work toward your own perfection. Who are you? You are the chosen instrument to fulfill the will of God.
So let us resolve today: we will be like God; we'll be busy like God; we'll work hard like God; we'll be anxious as God is anxious. You cannot say: God, you go ahead and work, I need a little rest. You cannot act without God. In a way we are competing with God. We have the same purpose. Those who are trying to run ahead of God are the ones who will win. The more you put out effort, the better your outcome will be. You don't need a supervisor. You don't have someone checking on you whether you are doing your homework or not. You are the supervisor of yourself.
You go higher and higher, from the individual level to the family level, society level, national level, worldwide level, bringing yourself up by doing so. You are bringing your race and your nationality up too. Do not stop; do not even slow down. You are marching toward the ultimate goal of the fulfillment of the will of God. Think of it: God is waiting for you beyond that hill. So we must go over the hill first. Beyond, God is waiting for you.
I do not want an easy battle. The harder, the more serious the battle the better. The harder the course through which you go the greater the victory, the greater the reward. God is doing His best, I am doing my best, you are doing your best. Truly this is going to be a magnificent victory.
There is one group of people, one formidable group of people whose eyes will pop out. They are the Communists. They will feel threatened. If the free world recognizes Rev. Moon and follows his leadership and heeds his words, within seven years the Communist power will subside.
Do we have a juvenile delinquency problem in our church? Once we are united in an ideal way, will that home have a problem with the family breaking down? Will there be a hippie and yippee problem in our movement? Will Communists be strong in our church? Will the drug problem persist in our church? We solve all those problems. Do you think Rev. Moon does it himself? Behind him is the work of God. Who can ever deny the work of God?
The History of the Blessed Couples

Everything would have been restored if the Cains and the Abels had united into one on the foundation of their ancestors. Isn't that so? The purpose of restoration is not just for a nation alone. It is for the world. Restoring the nation is not enough. The world must be restored. Who were the 120 followers gathered in the upper room of Mark's house on the day of the Pentecost, when Jesus ascended to heaven? They were the representatives of the worldwide nation. The 72 Couples become the foundation for the race, and from this a global nation can be established based upon this foundation. What that means is that the original foundation that was laid based on the 12 tribes and 72 disciples can become the center of a nation, but not the world.

Based on the foundation of the 72 disciples, who were on the level of the nation, if the 120 followers who represented the nations of the world had united together, Jesus would have been able to accomplish the will of God on earth. This is the providential view, and it is the mission of the Unification Church to take responsibility for this by restoration through indemnity. It is the responsibility of the Church, and at the same time, the responsibility of the Blessed Families within the Church.
Then what should these families do? Based on the 36 Couples, the 72 and 120 couples must unite completely into one. They must become one completely. They are represented in the following way: the 120 Couples representing the world correspond to the formation stage, the 72 Couples correspond to the growth stage, and the 36 Couples correspond to the perfection stage. They are our ancestors. That is how we should view them. With the culmination of the Blessing of 120 couples, I could then designate holy grounds around the world in 1965.
Why did I do so? I established the 36 Couples centering on the will of God. This was followed by the 72 Couples, thereby creating the foundation for the race, and finally I laid the foundation through the 120 Couples representing a worldwide nation. That is why the time has now come for me to take care of the world's nations. Since we have entered the era in which I can carry out this task, I designated 120 holy grounds in 40 nations around the world. Through this, the 36 Couples as the ancestors were restored by the will of God; the 72 Couples representing Cain and Abel, and the 120 Couples as the representatives of the world, were all restored. So the time has come to restore the land of the worldwide nation. Since we have restored the people and the land in the age of God's providence, we can now cross over to the worldwide era. This was meant to be accomplished after the designation of the holy grounds in 1965.

Who are the 72 Couples? Some translations of the Bible state that Jesus had seventy-two disciples, and others, seventy. Originally, 72 is the correct number. Centering on the twelve tribes and the number six (six united representatives per tribe), two times six is twelve and one times six is six. Multiplying them gives us seventy-two. If it were seventy disciples, the numbers would not have added up properly. Hence, the correct number is seventy-two.
The 72 Couples are like the children, the descendants of the 36 Couples, while the 36 are the central couples as well as the ancestors. Our view is that our ancestors failed to fulfill God's will because Cain and Abel, the two sons in the first family in history, failed to become one in heart, thus deferring the fulfillment of God's will. In view of the fact that the foundation of the family, in which the brothers Cain and Abel should have united, was not established, who then are the 72 Couples? Seventy-two is thirty-six twice. Thus, the 72 Couples representing the children of the 36 Couples comprise 36 Abel and 36 Cain couples. They are the representative couples chosen to restore through indemnity that which the historical ancestors failed to accomplish: the complete unity of Abel and Cain.

The fact that I blessed 430 couples in the year which marked 4,300 years of Korean history signifies that, since the foundation built by a single religious denomination is equivalent to victory on the tribal level only and that this is not enough, then a common gate had to be opened for all the tribes worldwide. That is why people with the surname Lee can also enjoy national and world level benefits according to God's will. The 430 Couples were blessed in order to allow a foundation to be laid, upon which any tribe, the Kims or Paks, and so forth, could receive blessings from God.

Because I made possible the 430 Couples Blessing, anyone who is a citizen of Korea is now living in the realm of fortune, in which everyone can be equally connected to God's providential will. That is why we can safely conclude that Korea can never go to ruin. It cannot. This is the conclusion. We have entered such an era in history.

We have entered the worldwide era beginning with the year 1968. Didn't we institute God's Day in 1968? In the year we instituted God's Day, I conducted the Blessing of 430 couples. Isn't that true? We are now living in the worldwide era. We are connected worldwide. After doing so, I needed to connect what I had started in Korea to the rest of the world, and so I selected and blessed 43 couples in 1969 around the world, instead of 430 couples. Why did I do so? Through the 43 Couples, I could connect the fortune I had prepared in Korea to the world.

The numbers four and three together represent the number seven, and also the 430 years the Israelites remained in Egypt before departing to Canaan. Hence, 430 represents the time for a new beginning. Furthermore, the 430 Couples Blessing also took place upon completion of 4,300 years of Korean history. This is not mere coincidence. God's providence is always carried out mathematically. The foundation built by a single religious denomination is equivalent to victory on the tribal level only, and this is not enough. By blessing the 430 Couples after 4,300 years of Korean history, I opened a common gate for all tribes worldwide.

This is how the history of the mass holy wedding ceremonies of our church developed. The Blessings were first begun with the three couples, then 36, 72, 124, 430, 777, and then what came next? It was the 1800 Couples. The last one is the eighth. That is how we progressed. This involves the whole world. We are now living in an era in which the gates have been opened, so that any nation in the world can enter the realm of God's blessing. That is why I held Blessings for international couples in the United States, Germany, and Japan as the host nations. That was one reason I chose missionaries from these countries as well.
Because such a foundation had been laid, the Blessing of 777 couples could be held. This number is triple seven, and so it is the final one. It is the final one in the realm of God's providence on the national level. Through the Blessing of the 777 Couples in 1970, the time had finally come in which any nation could enter the realm of God's providence. Just as one needs to perfect the ideal of the couple in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, the Blessing Ceremony of the 777 Couples bestowed on any nation and tribe in the world the privilege to enter this realm of God's providence. You must understand this. That was why, after the Blessing Ceremony was held, the 777 Couples were made to scatter all over Korea for a period of three years for the purpose of world restoration. Japanese members were asked to live separately from their spouses for five years. They were separated from 1970 through 1974, and it was not until June 10, 1975 that I issued special instructions for the couples to finally start living together. Why did I do this? It was in order to create a foundation for the worldwide providence.

What are the 430 Couples? Their Blessing signified entering the era of tribal messiahship. Since every one of them represents the family foundations upon which all tribes in the spirit world can return to earth and be resurrected – in other words, the family foundations of the resurrected Jesus bestowed upon the entire nation – the 430 Couples are the messianic families of their tribes. What that means is that they are like the families of Christ at his Second Advent to their tribes.
The 36, 72, and 120 Couples are part of me. These three groups of couples correspond to the vertical standard, whereas the 430 Couples have been established horizontally in all directions. Hence, they enter the realm of tribal messiahs, which is why I told them all, "Be tribal messiahs!" As I have already restored the 36 and 72 Couples, who form the center, as well as the 120 Couples, all you need to do now is to restore 120 couples per Blessed Family. Then everything can be indemnified both vertically and horizontally. As such, you must understand that it is the responsibility of the 430 Couples, the Blessed Couples of the Unification Church, to create 120 families in your tribes. So have you fulfilled this responsibility or not? Have you thought about that or not? You did not understand this until now, did you? Now that you have heard my explanation, do you understand?

The Unification Ceremony and Spiritual Assistance

What is the significance of True Parents' birthday (sixth day of the lunar New Year)? After returning this time (1976), on the first day of the second month of the lunar calendar, I conducted what is called the Unification Ceremony. You may not know what this ceremony is.
In the course of restoration, you must perfect the individual, family, tribe, nation and world and connect them in a straight line.
On earth, I had accomplished things on the levels of the individual, family, tribe, people and nation, but they were not yet connected to the spirit world. Nor were they connected to the families of the Unification Church. Although the road was paved, it had to be connected with the spirit world and then to the physical world. Only then could the Unification Ceremony take place.
When could the Unification Ceremony take place? Since Christianity has been developing globally mainly through democratic countries, unification is possible only when there is a global foundation. Without such a foundation, unification at one level cannot be connected to other levels. Until then, we could only aim at the global level from the national level, but we could not determine and fix it.
But now, through the foundation I made in America, we can make the connection. Now is the time when the nation and world are connected. When this spiritual standard can be connected to the global foundation, based on such a global standard, it can be connected to the spirit world for the first time.
In the spirit world, Korean and Japanese spirits are not well connected. Spirits of different nationalities were connected only to their own countries, so we could not mobilize them all as a unified force toward one global path. Until this is resolved on earth, the spirit world cannot be organized.
Thus, in the spirit world, Japanese and Koreans, Japanese and Chinese are all enemies to each other. There is so much animosity between nations in the spirit world. Since those enemy spirits are against each other, they have to get connected.
Thus, I conducted the Ceremony for Total Liberation from Resentment on March 1, 1975, a ceremony to liberate and forgive everyone. This opens the way to liberate even Satan. Through this ceremony, enemies can no longer treat each other as enemies but must forgive one another. To me, Satan is my enemy and when I forgive him he is no longer an enemy, since God does not consider him an enemy either.
Now is the time for unification. What will happen when the physical and spirit worlds become one? Was not the Fall the separation of those two worlds? Did God not get separated from Adam and Eve? Wasn't there a breach of heart between Adam and Eve? Hence, with the spiritual and physical worlds unified, if an interracial structure develops based on Adam and Eve's family, tribe, people, nation, and world, this can create the global realm of unification. These things must be resolved; but it is not possible in the USA. It cannot be done there.
Since I established the individual, family, tribal, ethnic and national foundations centering on Korea, and advanced to the world, and because Korea is the central nation, I hurried to get here. After the Unification Ceremony, I realized that my birthday this year is historic, because the people in the spirit world never before had a chance to attend the True Parents' birthday from a unified position, nor were they qualified to celebrate it. Also, all their descendants on earth did not have the privilege to celebrate the True Parents' birthday. It was because the spiritual and physical foundations were not unified.
Now, however, with such privilege being provided spiritually and physically, the spirit world moves to restore descendants. From the standpoint of the Principle, the ancestors are in the archangel's position and their descendants in Adam's position. That is because the archangel assisted in the creation of Adam. With the unification of the ancestors in the spirit world, a foundation was created enabling them to assist in the re-creation of Adam on earth. Therefore, logic leads us to the conclusion that we have entered the time in which our ancestors can intervene in our affairs.
For this reason, this day, when the True Parents come to Korea to celebrate their birthday, is a day when they open another historic epoch. In other words, countless spirits in the other world now have the privilege to participate in this celebration. Through this, even their descendants on earth who still do not know about the Unification Church can be re-created.
We have now entered the age in which the ancestors assist their descendants and mobilize their descendants to begin the re-creation of the earthly people who stand in a similar position to Adam. This is just like when God created Adam with the archangel's assistance.
Based on this logic, all the people of the whole world can receive the privilege to celebrate the True Parents' birthday.
