I have just returned to America after sixty-seven days in Korea.
As you know, the dispensation of God involves the entire universe, but the ideal of creation is centered upon men and women. What should men and women be centered upon? God created man and women not for their own sake, but rather for the sake of true love. Therefore, true love is the central purpose of God's creation. Each individual man and woman search after true love. Together, they must also search for and obtain true love. That is the goal for which they were created. Then, God and human beings should be united centered upon true love. That is the beginning point of the ideal of God.
We must clearly understand that the purpose of creation is to fulfill the ideal of true love. How can that be done? It is by accomplishing the four position foundation centered upon God. You must see it very clearly. This is the point at which God's ideal and true love must be fulfilled.
Because Adam and Eve failed to fulfill God's ideal of true love, they did not accomplish the four position foundation centered upon God. All of the problems and calamities that have befallen humanity are directly attributable to this one failure of the first human beings. Everything went wrong because God's original purpose of creation was not realized.
God created Adam and Eve for the purpose of the fulfillment of true love. Then Adam and Eve were meant to consummate that true love by giving birth to children of God. We can draw a familiar diagram representing the four-position foundation, with the top circle representing God, the two middle circles representing Adam and Eve, and the bottom circle representing children. Adam and Eve each have to achieve unity between their mind and body, becoming a wholesome man and woman of completion. Then they must be united at the central point of love. This is very important. Otherwise, the vertical line coming down from God could not connect with them and their four position foundation could not be perfected.
The most essential point we must clarify and understand this morning is centered upon this question: Why did God make all things? It was not for the sake of the creation itself, but rather for the sake of the fulfillment of true love. This is our most fundamental understanding.
Adam's mind is at the center, surrounded by his body. Eve's mind, too, is at the center, surrounded by her body. All these elements Adam's mind and body, Eve's mind and body-are meant to resound with the same vibration. They share the same wavelength and resonate together.
We experience this particular phenomenon when we are growing up. As teenagers, we develop our capacity for affection and love for the opposite sex. The mind seeks to communicate itself before the body. Our minds meet on a certain wave length or vibration. Therefore, the mind of a young person must be connected to true love in order to form correct, normal relationships.
Nobody gets married thinking, "We will only live together for ten years or so." People marry pledging their love: "Until death do us part." That eternal standard arises from God's formula. Each individual is supposed to achieve unity between mind and body, and then become united as a couple. What is the rallying point of that unity? It is true love.
When Adam and Eve achieve that unity of true love as a couple, then the overall plus is God and they are in the minus position. That is the point of fulfillment of God's ideal This is the basic, fundamental formula of the Divine Principle which you must understand. It is the bedrock foundation.
True love follows the three stages of growth to perfection. The unity between mind and body, plus and minus, represents the formation stage; the unity between Adam and Eve represents the growth stage; and the unity between man and God represents completion. "True love" is a vague concept which is difficult to understand, so I am trying to explain it in basic terms, showing you how it develops.
Our Unification Church congregation is composed of both men and women. The first question each person here should ask is whether your mind and body are becoming united centered on eternal true love. Those who can say, "I am confident that my mind and body are united centered on true love," raise your hand, please.
The fundamental base for all levels of unity is true love. Each person has a "homing device. moving his body toward true love. That is his original mind. This is why we can have hope for fallen man to be restored. Without this human trait, there would be no possibility for restoration.
The Principle of Creation tells us that whoever embodies true love becomes the center of the universe. Everything follows such a person because everything in the universe wants to be near true love. Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden. If they had achieved the perfection of their true love, everything in the Garden would have been naturally controlled and dominated by them. They would have automatically become the central figures of their surroundings because they would have become the personification of true love.
Man and woman were meant to come together by the pulling power of true love. Then they would automatically attract God's presence. Great effort to achieve unity between God and man was not supposed to be necessary. Once man and women personify true love, God's love flows to them as effortlessly as if by magnetism.
Adam and Eve were created as the son and daughter of God. Once they are perfected in true love, God doesn't even have to look for some way to get close to them. He simply goes there automatically, pulled by true love. Around man's united realm of true love, all things of creation are attracted and united. Furthermore, the entire spirit realm is also attracted and affected by such a loving man and woman. Therefore, when you become a perfected couple of true love, you will be welcomed and embraced anywhere you approach Every door will be thrown wide open to usher you in.
You need to clarify your understanding of the Divine Principle and organize it around this one point because this is the bedrock foundation of everything else in the Principle.
We can ask, why should we achieve true love? What shall we do, once we achieve it? Where do we go from there? There are three major purposes of true love:
1. When you possess true love, you are automatically entitled to receive the inheritance;
2. True love gives you the right of participation. You are not an observer or bystander but an agent which initiates action; 3. Thirdly, true love brings you to the same level of heart with God.
The power of love can do these three most desirable things.
Let's use an example. The President of the United States is the most prestigious office in the land. Let's imagine that the current President was married to a homely, uneducated woman. Regardless of this, the President's wife enjoys the same level of prestige as her husband. Their love relationship elevates her instantly to the position of First Lady. Wherever the President may go- perhaps to a Summit Conference, where he stands in a receiving line and greets other world leaders- his wife also goes. So she enjoys participation on the same level. Furthermore, she automatically receives whatever inheritance her husband may receive. Whatever belongs to the President also belongs to the First Lady.
If this principle of love works in the fallen world, how much more must it apply in the perfected, unfallen world? The purpose of God's work is for restoration. What power can achieve the restoration of fallen men and women all the way to the level of perfection? It is none other than true love-certainly not knowledge, wealth, or worldly power.
We might go one step further. Once the love relationship is formed between a man and woman, say the President and his wife, then he also follows her and receives whatever is her inheritance, experiencing the same kinds of things. So this rule applies both ways. The Principle of Creation states that God created all things not just for Adam or just Eve, but for both. Both belong to God and come under God's domain. Therefore, neither men nor women can claim sole dominion over the universe. Only both together can make that claim.
In the realm of true love, you can even climb on top of God's shoulders and say to the world, "Look at me I'm even higher than Heavenly Father!" God would not resent that but would welcome and enjoy such intimacy. This is all because of the power of love. First of all, you need to have that ambition: to climb the ladder all the way up to the top of the head of God. Do you have such an ambition? Every person is born with ambition, wanting to be number one, to climb higher than his dad and mom. God embedded this ambition in our hearts. Therefore, ambition is not necessarily evil but must be used for the purpose of attaining God's true love.
If Adam and Eve had attained true love and were lying together in bed, would God observe two happy faces or sad, desperate faces? Every part of Adam and Eve would be filled with the joy of love. Therefore, every expression represents joy and happiness. Have you women thought, "I am the happiest woman in the world because I am lying next to my husband in the f fulfillment of true love.. Do you men feel the same way when you lie beside your wife? If husband and wife are so fulfilled and joyful in love, do you think God will want to be somewhere else, or right there with you?
Think of how it would be if everyone were bound by true love. You could not get away from it.
If human history had started from that point, can you imagine how it might have been? Wherever woman went, her husband would want to follow and she would be happy to have him. The reverse is true where the man went, his wife would want to go, too. Wherever they went together, God would also go.
This is a simplified version, but it is the most fundamental point of my teaching. So please have open arms-try to embrace true love wherever you go. When you grab and squeeze true love, don't let go; just make it stay with you. Once you are united in true love, no foreign elements can invade. They have no power or influence over you.
A simple illustration is contained in the law of physics: Plus and plus tend to repel each other. But does plus always repel another plus? Not necessarily. A powerful thunderstorm with its lightning and thunder is the result of millions of volts of electricity coming together. All this voltage didn't just spring up instantly but took a while to develop. First of all, plus charges had to accumulate in massive amounts to encounter an equally massive minus charge. So plus came together with plus and minus with minus first. In this way, they grew. But once the plus charge meets a minus charge, it will powerfully repel another plus charge. Once they achieve a certain level, they are capable of creating the clashes we see in the heavens when we witness a thunderstorm.
If plus always repelled plus and minus always repelled minus, then teenaged boys couldn't be friends, and girls would not like each other. But that is not the case. Once a boy and girl get married, however, their relationship with their former friends is changed. They don't want to be as close to their friends. At this point, plus repels plus, and minus repels minus. So the law of attraction and repulsion is not created by God for the purpose of destruction, but rather for the protection of the right order of relationship in the universe.
When you are united centered upon true love, your union will be preserved and protected by the entire universe for eternity. Therefore, there i9 no power capable of destroying a perfected true love relationship. Once we are united in true love with the eternal God, what greater power can intervene? Nothing can stop us from living and loving with God for eternity.
Do you want to enjoy eternal life? So far, the idea has been somewhat vague in your mind, I know. You haven't been able to feel the reality of it. But by seeing this point, you can see that eternal life IS an inevitable consequence of true love. Only true love makes things eternal. Everything else will perish. That is the law of God's universe.
This IS an incredible discovery in the history of mankind. Without an understanding of true love, history has been a record of immorality, disorder and confusion. But now Reverend Moon has come and declared to the world this clear-cut law, and true love is becoming a reality for the first time. This particular gathering today with the True parent is based upon the reality of true love.
When this teaching is presented to our forefathers in spirit world, they will all say, "Yes, this is true.. Every person in spirit world will agree. If people a million years from now talk about this concept, they too will agree with it: "Yes, that is the universal, unchanging law which Reverend Moon taught." Therefore, this understanding which has been imparted to you at this time in history is the most wonderful thing which could have happened.
Plus and minus united vertically and horizontally can maintain that relationship for eternity. That is the law and the truth. The vertical plus and minus relationship is exemplified in the father/son relationship. The horizontal plus and minus relationship is exemplified between men and women. The vertical line cannot be defined without the horizontal line, and vice-versa. They are both necessary.
When an architect begins to make his drawings, he must make the vertical and horizontal lines first. These crucial lines are the points of reference for everything that he builds. If the architect draws the central point in one location but the builders come along and erect the house at another point, then that house will have to be moved to agree with the architect's drawings. Once the vertical line meets with the horizontal, that meeting point becomes the center. All the planning and construction should be designed around that center.
There is vertical true love and also horizontal true love. Are they independent of each other, going in separate directions? No, that is not the ideal, yet that is the way American love is. The American way of life is diverse in every respect, including the area of love. People engage in free sex, taking one lover one night and then someone else the nest night. They wander around thinking, "Whatever I do, that is correct" They try to make themselves the vertical line American democracy is an example of a relationship along the horizontal line alone. It doesn't have a true vertical line coming down from God. Because of that lack, it shall fail without doubt. When you hear that, do you feel happy or sad? Do you think I am tricking you with words? No, this is true. No true vertical love exists in this nation. What about horizontal true love how can that exist?
You must understand what hell is. Hell is the place where vertical true love and horizontal true love cannot be found anywhere. There is no trace of it. There i~ no order or discipline, and everyone bumps and clashes against each other. Cruelty and violence rule. Do you understand this? You don't want to go to that place, do you? The most hellish place on earth is where no trace of vertical and horizontal true love can be found.
In the end, people who misuse their love curse themselves. Women say, "Why was I ever born? I despise the fact that I am a woman." The same is true of men. People in hell hate their bodily parts by which they engaged in illicit love. They condemn their own bodies throughout eternity. Our sexual organs were meant to be used for the consummation of true love, so when they are misused in illicit love, they become the object of hate and detestation. Once the sexual areas of a person's body are misused, including a woman's bosom and hips, they become objects of eternal condemnation in the spirit world.
When I was in prison in Korea, I observed men who were awaiting execution. Every day they grieved and repented, hanging their heads, saying, "If I had taken that one step differently and gone the other direction, I would not be in this position. One misstep brought me to this end." They could not get away because the deed was done. This is a good analogy with the misuse of true love. Once true love is misused, a person will face eternal condemnation and he will live with eternal grief.
Let us return to our topic today, which is America. This nation is prospering now with its democratic system I am not saying that democracy itself is evil not at all, but that horizontal democracy must cross the vertical line of God's true love. Without that meeting point, America will perish. The question is, which comes first, vertical or horizontal true love? Yes, it is vertical true love. Why is that?
The universe is built upon only one axis. When you draw a circle, only one vertical line can penetrate the center. When you look at the entire creation plus almighty God, what would be the vertical line which penetrates the center of the universe? That one vertical line must be power, right? No, power is always a manifestation of the horizontal line. It is the result of horizontal confrontation. Then there are knowledge and wealth, which are also horizontal
Love is the only thing which is universal and vertical. Do the lines of vertical true love and horizontal true love cross, or are they independent of each other, going their own ways? If they are separated, there is no ideal because there is no harmony or unity. Can harmony and unity arise any place according to any sort of center, or must there be an absolute vertical center for them to arise? Do you want to enjoy temporary harmony or eternal harmony? You want eternal.
How can the vertical and horizontal be harmonized? Fifty-five billion people can each draw a horizontal line intersecting the vertical Line, but they must be true and perfectly horizontal Perhaps you say, "I can cross the vertical line anyway I like. I'm doing fine," but that is not true. Even worse is when the vertical line is not truly vertical. When the horizontal lines cross it, that is far from perfect.
Where are you in relation to the perfect vertical and horizontal lines? How can you find the original vertical axis and the original horizontal axis and combine them into one? This is fallen humanity's problem. You have to find those two lines in your lifetime. If you don't, you will not be able to go to heaven. You know where you are, without anyone else telling you. Every one of you is responsible for finding the true vertical and true horizontal line.
By combining the vertical and horizontal true loves, God wants to form a rounded, global entity. A three dimensional globe has one vertical axis. Two horizontal lines can intersect at the axis, so there would be three lines coming together at that point. When the love power comes through the vertical axis, it can travel down through the horizontal lines and move out everywhere. There will be no loss of energy, no contradiction.
Say love with the power of "10" comes down along the vertical line. There must be a path it can take which will allow it to be perpetuated. Ten divides itself into two parts of five along the two horizontal lines, then when they come together, there is still ten. As long as the power is flowing through the center point, there is no resistance
and therefore no loss of power. In the physical world, the input of energy does not equal the output; there is always some loss. But we have to find a formula by which there will be no loss of energy. The only way is by going through the central axis.
The harmonizing point is the center. Any action not going through the center will always encounter resistance and contradiction; but anything going through the center will find harmony and perfect welcome.
If the horizontal line is drawn without going through the center, the result will be disorder everywhere. There can be no system or harmony. Therefore, the center is the point around which everything else is organized and harmonized. Every existence finds its place, its eternal residence.
The globe we are discussing represents the relationship between God and mankind. That relationship is surrounded by all the creatures, including the plants and animals. The exact same principle guides them. Even the mineral kingdom follows this rule. Imparted throughout all these levels of existence are the horizontal characteristics of masculine and feminine, positive and negative.
The mineral, plant and animal kingdoms all have the goal of reaching their center, which is the point of human true love. They want to be involved in that. Therefore, all things of creation are willing to sacrifice themselves if that is the way they can follow true love.
All creation is formed in the pair system for the purpose of the fulfillment of love. Each being yearns to reach a higher and higher level of true love. In order to do that, the stronger force of love consumes the weaker. This is how the animal and plant kingdom are willing to become sustenance for the human body. Since human true love is closer to God, all other creatures want to be part of the human body, even willing to be eaten for that purpose.
Among the ocean creatures, the whale is the largest and closest to the human race. They are mammals, giving birth to live babies. The smallest creatures are eaten by larger fish, which in turn are eaten by larger fish, all the way up to the whale. which takes everything into its gigantic mouth
Within the animal kingdom, insects and worms are consumed by little birds. Small birds are eaten by larger- creatures. When those creatures are eaten by human beings, the cells of the birds are eaten, too. In this manner, the minuscule organism on the bottom of the sea can ultimately become a part of the cells and body of a man or woman. Those creatures welcome the opportunity to become part of a human cell because they can thereby become recipients of true love. Suppose a tiny creature from the ocean bottom becomes a part of Bo Hi Pak's flesh. It can say proudly, "Look at me. Now I'm a human cell!" When Bo Hi Pak and his wife express their love, that tiny sea organism rises to the level of participation in the act of true love.
This is why I go fishing and hunting. Many American members don't understand how a religious leader could engage in such activities. Whenever I go out on the ocean, I know that the fish want to be loved by God, by way of Reverend Moon. That is the highest accomplishment of any sea creature. Likewise, the little birds and animals yearn to become part of the body of a true man. In this way, the creatures can leap over into the infinite realm of the love of God. That is their highest purpose and goal.
Not all the creatures will achieve that kind of glory. Only a limited number can become part of a cell in the body of Reverend Moon. Once they attain such glory, they can proclaim, "I have achieved the kings position!" The cells know that by becoming part of the body of Reverend Moon, they are participating in eternal true love. Therefore they can participate in eternal life, in a sense.
When you look at all the things of creation, including the trees, grasses, flowers, birds and animals, think about the fact that they yearn to come closer to the love of God by way of human beings. You must be the mediator between them and God. Yesterday when I drove in through the gates of East Garden again, I sensed all the trees, flowers and creatures reaching out to welcome me.
Everything comes under the same laws of creation. When your mind and body are united at this center position, there is nothing you cannot understand in the realm of God and the universe. Your mind is vertical and your body is horizontal, so they can be united in this position.
Why were people created with mind and body in the first place? It was in order to apply this law in the human body. The mind, representing the vertical, cannot be changed; its position can't be altered. The body, however, has 360 degrees in which to maneuver. As long as it crosses the vertical line at the center, there is no difference in the relationship itself. Do you think the Oriental people have a different vertical axis from the West? No, there is only one vertical axis for the whole world. If you move from one place to the other, as long as your vertical line is established, you will enjoy the same harmony and unity.
Everything that is welcomed here on earth shall be welcomed in spirit world. The same principles and the same central axis exist in the spirit world. The key question is, how can we attain the ideal position with the axis? That is when you are dwelling in the bosom of the true love of God.
How would you describe or define God? Is He simply the vertical center? No, there should also be a horizontal center of God. What is that? The vertical and horizontal centers are found together. Once you grab one, you grab the other. The vertical center is almighty God; the horizontal center is the parents. This would have been absolutely true if the fall of man had not occurred. All parents would have been true parents, crossing the vertical line at a perfect ninety degree angle, with no deviation. God, the vertical center and the Creator, made Adam and Eve with the purpose of becoming the horizontal center of God, all centered upon true love. Do you understand?
For many people, religious teachings have been little more than pleasant concepts which have almost no bearing on their everyday life. They feel that real life and religion are separated from one another, occupying different realms. Our crucial question is: how can we join the ideal with the reality of daily life? This is a most important point.
Your mind represents the vertical parents, your body the horizontal parents. Because of the fall of man, the original form of man has been all but obliterated. But when a man is perfectly united between the vertical and horizontal aspects at a 90 degree angle, he encounters no resistance or disharmony anywhere he goes. Every person retains a trace of resemblance with that original form.
This entire universe is supposed to be filled with true love. AB a microcosm of the universe, each human being is also supposed to be filled with true love. But because of the fall of man, the universal axis is lost; man has not been able to find it. The human mind has become disfigured. Always remember that the 90 degree crossing point between the vertical and horizontal lines is a necessity.
When you become a microcosm of God's ideal of creation, with your vertical and horizontal aspects perfectly united, you become a part of the total perfection of the universe. You will participate in the relationship of true love between God and man Then you shall truly become holy. This i8 why Buddha, for example, could declare when he came to his point of self-realization: "In heaven and earth, I alone am holy." But the destination of each person is to be holy and noble and to achieve the same point of self-realization.
Human history has been running along the fallen path, but this will end at the day of restoration. What is that? It is, simply put, the time of the return of the Lord of the Second Advent. Christianity has been centered upon the hope that Christ's promise will be fulfilled: that the Lord will return. And furthermore, he will not just return but will be triumphant. The Bible predicts the Marriage of the Lamb, the day of the fulfillment of this restoration.
Without question, Jesus Christ was a perfected individual; his mind and body intersected at the perfect 90 degree angle. However, he could not move on from that formation level of perfection to the growth level-marriage to a woman who could become the True Mother of mankind. That did not happen in Jesus' lifetime. If Jesus could have achieved the Marriage of the Lamb, then he could have moved on to the nest level-the establishment of the position of True Parents. Then he world have moved on to achieve the unity of God with the entire universe. At that point, the ideal of God would have been established with the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, as well as in heaven.
Jesus was in the position to take a bride, his Eve. But there was no Eve for him at that time, only the Holy Spirit. If Jesus and a bride could have established the heavenly four-position foundation, then the attention of the universe would have been focused on the children's position. God's goal, as well as that of Adam and Eve and all of humanity, is to see God's grandchildren, so to speak. Why has God been looking forward to seeing true children of Adam and Eve? It is because God's love must come down to that point in order to be fulfilled in its totality. Without that, there can be no complete circuit, no return.
God will automatically come down to the center point when Adam and Eve are perfected in their true love. That is when human beings truly become the temples of God. When the next step is taken and children are born to perfected Adam and Eve, they are totally free. They can move in any direction. Such perfected people are connected with the rest of humanity and the entire universe.
You are connected to all of the past in spirit world through your ancestors, and on into the future, through your children. The point of origin and the future point need to interact and turn with one another, interchanging positions. For that reason, the parents are very important here on earth. If you love your parents as much as you love your spouse or children, you are automatically connected to heaven.
Consider American society today in light of this principle. What is the position of parents and children? Some children have two, three or four fathers in succession. Others have several different stepmothers. Two, three, or four sets of parents! Is that the right way? No, that is the wrong way. How can you as Moonies establish the correct standard, the original position? It is by understanding and following this teaching I am giving you. Do you follow?
Without this happening, America shall perish There is no way around it. In such a society, everybody is destined for hell. This is not only logical, it is biblical. Heaven is not somewhere else; it is right here, within you. You make your world into heaven or hell.
Unless your family relationships are heavenly, how can you imagine that you will end up in heaven in spirit world? Your parents, spouse, and children must be representatives of heaven. All the human problems, past, present and future, are covered within this one principle. Today I am making this very clear to you.
When you enter your home, think to yourself, I am now walking into the Kingdom of Heaven." When you leave home and go out into the world, consider that you are going to expand the purpose of heaven. If you live every day like that, how can you possibly fall into hell? Heaven is determined by how you live. You don't need any special procedures or applications in order to enter heaven. You will find yourself in the same place as you were on earth If you were in heaven on earth, you will be elevated into heaven in spirit world. But if you were in hell on earth, that is where you will go.
Do you think I am talking off the top of my head, according to some whim, or are these words arising from the eternal, unchanging principles of God? Where is Satan. your enemy? Satan is dwelling within your own body. When the horizontal line of the body has always failed to cross the vertical line at the 90 degree angle, then the outcome is disfigurement. That i8 Satan's work-to disfigure you. Do you know that clearly? If you really know that, you can chase Satan out more easily.
Satan's first base is your body, which he is always trying to manipulate. The second base for Satan is your relationship with your spouse. The third base for Satan is with your children. Satan uses these three bases because of the fall of man. He knows the Principle very well, so he knows the necessity of fulfilling unity between East and West, heaven and earth, man and woman. He knows that God needs children.
Satan knows all of this, so he uses those three levels as his base for blocking the fulfillment of God's ideal. This is the reason God has been searching for one true man and then one true women, then true children. Those are the three items which God lost and which He has been working so desperately to restore.
What is our title for today? It is "America, Wake Up!" How can America wake up? What is the method? Now you know what it is. When the Israelites entered the land of Canaan, first they built their holy temple for worshipping God, the Parent. Then they erected schools, and finally they built their homes.
The Pilgrim forefathers of this nation followed the same pattern. They first built their church; secondly, they built schools for the education of their posterity. Then they built their homes and the rest of their social needs, including hospitals, libraries, roads and so forth. Reading American history, it is beautiful to see that the earliest settlers lived together in a communal manner. They would go out each day to build their church and their schools. Finally, they built their individual homes and began living separately.
That is the very reason America has been blessed by God. When they built their church first, that meant they made a house for God. Then they built schools for the children. Finally, their houses were built, representing the dwelling place for Adam and Eve. Thus the three elements essential for the fulfillment of the ideal of creation were established.
In the four-position foundation, each position requires three objects. From God's position, Adam and Eve and children are needed. From Adam's position, God, Eve and children are needed. From Eve's position, God, Adam and children; and from children's position, father, mother and God are needed. The family exits for the sake of God. A nation, including the United States, is an assemblage of families. Therefore, the American nation must exist for the sake of God and the entire world. Isn't that true?
The United States has outlawed the advertisement of cigarettes on television because they are so harmful to human health. Yet as part of its economic policy, America is trying to sell tobacco to Koreans. Is that a good and unselfish act? That is simply the way of Satan. How can this nation do such a thing? By the same token, because there is a surplus of beef here, beef producers want to keep only the prime cuts for sale here and ship the inferior cuts overseas to places such as Korea. Do you think America should continue those kinds of policies? America should be living for the benefit of the whole world. Any nation which departs from God's way is destined to perish.
My teachings from the beginning have been to establish this absolute vertical line. The Unification movement is the place in which people can find that vertical line and draw their own horizontal line at a 90 degree angle. Once this is expanded to the rest of the world, prosperity shall blossom. Many people in the United States would like to see the Moonies disappear. But the rest of humanity and God Himself want to see Reverend Moon's teachings survive and prosper. Which side will overrule the other? No matter what the American media or others may say, the Unification movement is protected by the universal power of God. As long as I am holding firmly to the vertical axis, no power can destroy or damage the Unification movement.
As the United States is falling down into destruction, can we just stand by and shake our head, or shall we do something about it? I have recognized the situation here and I know what must be done, so I cannot stand still. I am working hard to correct the problems. If God and True Parents want to work 24 hours a day, how many hours would you like to work? You have all kinds of reasons and excuses not to work hard. But if America perishes, the world itself cannot survive.
America is spreading its diseases to the rest of the world. AIDS is an example of this. Now Americans are feared and unwelcome. Other nations are not welcoming people from this country with open arms but are saying, "Stay away!
Don't contaminate our land and our purity. " Who shall pay the debts of America? Who can restore and stop this nation from declining? You must wake up.
The American media is playing up Korean problems, but I have just returned from there, and I can tell you that the real problems are not in Korea The problem is here, in America. That is why I came back at this time. Korea itself does not stand as a world power; its decline does not affect the rest of the world in the same way that America's does. If the United States declines and is demolished, the rest of the free world will go with it.
Are you just a passive follower within the Unification movement, or have you been a pioneer and a front-line soldier? You utter lots of complaints, "We are too hungry. We need so many things." Before the rest of America can wake up, you must wake up. Can you give the shot in the arm that the United States so desperately needs? You have to be awakened here, today, in this very moment and place. Do you have the injection that will save America from its disease? Will you be the injector or the injected? You must be the givers.
Where does your enemy work? Through your body, your husband or wife, your children. If you don't love America more than all of those your body, your spouse, your children-then you will not be worthy of listening to my message today, truly not worthy to be called Unificationists. Is that clear to you?
Now you know from this morning's message what you must do. This is the time to form a new resolve. I will not stay in this country unless you are determined to fulfill my directions to the letter. You must become worthy representatives of True Parents in this country; otherwise, I cannot feel right about staying here. I have worked so hard in Korea to mobilize the people to live up to the standard which I have been teaching this morning. The entire country of Korea is mobilized and, on the basis of that, I could come back here at this time. Are you going to do what I have asked?
Are you ready to dominate the three bases where the enemy strikes: body, spouse, and children? Will you do that in order to win the victory? If you fulfill that goal and grab God with strength, no power under the sun will ever separate you from God's true love. Furthermore, your children and your spouse will not lose anything. They will be greatly blessed by following you and be embraced by God and the True Parents.
I want you to realize that I will not be staying here in this country. You take it for granted that I will always be here. I have nothing more to give to you unless and until you fulfill my directions. After that, I can give you and teach you more, but not until then.
Your destiny is clear. Those who will practice what I have taught and become victorious according to my teaching, stand up and raise your hands high. Let us pledge, "We shall do it." (Three times) Thank you. God bless you!
