We were up in the True Parents' banquet, and Parents were so delighted; they were so happy; and as you notice, when we went up there, Kook Jin hyung gave an awesome, wonderful toast. As you notice, we all are strongly declaring True Parents as the Messiah and the Lord of the Second Advent, let's give it up for True Parents -- because it's really a joy to do so. It's so invigorating to declare them as the Messiah -- because that's who they are.
We were out on the street witnessing one day, wearing our yellow vests and yellow hats that say "Tong-Il Kyo" on it, and we were running around in the streets and handing out pamphlets of our True Parents' autobiography, and I bumped into these Christian grandmas. They were waiting at the bus terminal and so I went up to them at the bus terminal, they were sitting there, they were so very cute, these grandmas, they were talking to one another, and we came with the Tong-Il Kyo hats and Tong-Il vests and I said, "Oh, yes! We would love for you to read this book!" They said, "What kind of book is that?" and I said, "Well, it's the book by Reverend Moon! Reverend Moon, his autobiography, he wrote this book, it's the best seller in Korea! It's absolutely incredible; it will change your life."
They said, "No, I'm not going to read that. I won't read that. I'm Christian. I'm not going to read Moon Sun Myung." So I said, "Why?! Reverend Moon's the Messiah! Why are you not going to read it?" She said, "What?! What you say?! Reverend Moon the Messiah? Crazy! Crazy! How can this person be the Messiah?" She's getting all flustered. I said, "Oh, madame, thank you so much, you are giving me so much excitement today! It's so fun to talk to you about my father!" And we started talking. We had a wonderful conversation; eventually they asked me to leave, but that was OK because I was very happy. I was very happy; I said, "Madame, thank you; thank you so much for this wonderful experience, because I got my day's worth of exercise today! I feel fantastic!"
You see, Brothers and Sisters, there is something about declaring your faith; there is something that happens on the inside of you. When you actually believe and you actually step out in faith and confront your fears. You know, our church had not witnessed in over 30 years (the Korean church). As you know, you will hear the statistics in the next couple of days, but the Korean church had not witnessed in about 25-30 years. We had lost the excitement that we had when we joined. You remember when you found the Messiah when you were young people? You found the Messiah and you went home and told your Mom, told your Mom, "Mom, I found the Messiah! He's Korean!" She almost killed you! But you survived! Right? You found the Messiah, you were so excited. We were so excited to find the Messiah; to declare him, to talk about him, to share our faith; but then, over time, that conviction became somewhat blurred. I'm not going to say it went away, but it got blurred, because we had to do many many different things in the growth stage, so to speak. Father gave us many things, many events, many ceremonies, etc., we had to do such things, but in doing so, unfortunately many of us lost our identity; and also many of us, maybe not the leaders, but I'm sure everyone has the moments , but many members had lost faith, in God and even True Parents. And this was the state of our movement, and so in that kind of atmosphere our faith cannot grow, it will not grow because it will not be blessed by God.
So we had an incredible task to undertake here in Korea. Actually I have to say we did many many changes here in Korea but it would not have been possible without the unbelievable genius, the incredible mind of Kook Jin hyung. I've been working with him for about a year and a half. He has an unbelievable mind. Most of you will not know this but in Korea, of course our business group has turned around completely due to his leadership: in 2005 it was at a 100 million dollars loss for the year, that was Tongil -- as In Jin-Ah said, that was the "sore loser" of the businesses in Korea. The groups. It wasn't even listed on any of the public listings for groups. And within three years he turned that around.
Remarkable turnaround; he turned that around to 50 million dollars profit and even in this economic slump the business group is still profitable. So he has created incredible result in the business group.
Most of you will not know this but in Yonsei University, which is one of the premier universities here in Korea, it's like Columbia University in the United States, they have an MBA program, they have a Master's in Business program, and we actually have two Blessed children who are in that, young Unificationists who are in that program, they're in the MBA course. And they're there sitting in class one day listening to the course and their studies on business administration, etc., listening to all the wonderful things that the professor was talking about, and then he pulled out a case study. "We're going to do a case study of a modern business group." Guess what he pulled out of his pocket: Tongil Group! Tongil Group! Our Tongil Group! He pulled Tongil Group out and he talked about Tongil Group as the case study of incredible turnarounds from 2005 to 2008! Oh, that deserves applause, Brothers and Sisters. That definitely deserves applause.
So we have young Korean professionals who are being trained in business school now, we're learning about Kook Jin hyung's work. We're learning about the incredible results that he did make in the marketplace which is highly competitive. Of course all of you know that, in the free market it's so competitive, you have to be the best. And in Yonsei University they are teaching the Tongil Group as a case study, and I'm happy to announce that they also foresee that the Tongil Group will become one of the big Jeabeol in Korea; this is what they're predicting. That means one of the biggest, big conglomerates of Korea. Like Samsung and Hyundai. This is what the professors are saying in Yonsei University. About the Unification Church foundation! This is unimaginable, actually, if you think about it. Can you imagine in the Columbia MBA program, if they're talking about the Unification Church business group as a remarkable case study? This is what they're doing already on the ground in Korea. The success will continue and so I do foresee it quickly moving to Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School and all the wonderful other schools around the world, talking about it. But see this is the incredible change that is happening: for the first time we've made an incredible failure into an enormous success. That started from the business group, because the reality of our business group was so, so unimaginable.
Due to that incredible turnaround and amazing organizational skill, Kook Jin hyung partook on a 120 church tour where he actually toured Korean churches, Unification churches around Korea; we had 450 at the time and he would go unannounced; he would not tell ministers which church he was going to attend, so they did not know he was coming to church, because he wanted to see the actual reality of what the members were actually experiencing in church. So he would go and sometimes he would be in a church and he would look in the back -- somebody sitting in the back with a black cap on, just sitting there listening to the sermon, and he did an analysis, a field study, of 120 churches: did 40 in Seoul and the rest around the country. And he made a strategic plan for church growth. Now this required many hard decisions, very tough decisions: we had to reduce the number of churches from 450 to 250. That's 200 churches. We had to let go of over 100 ministers. That's a lot of ministers to let go of; a lot of ministers who feel that they contributed greatly to the church. Had to let go of over 100.
We had to implement new systems into the church; we had to create a decision line chain, management, which is the system they use in the free market in major organizations. We had to implement that into every organization, Mission department, we had to put that into Headquarters Church; Chedan already had it; we had to bring in their HR system that he had created. So we had to do so many things, the KPI system, the Key Performance Indicator system that we had to do, where we actually had to rank ministers and churches based on performance. And the performance is all faith-based and driven towards church growth, so they were focusing on witnessing and tithing and donations, and Blessing attendance, etc., such things, where there were different percentages, etc. And we had to actually create this systematic analysis program that's unbelievably complex. We're so grateful for our Dr. Seuk and Kim Jong Won Shil Chung, who is our Shil Chung at Headquarters. They help work with the professionals to create that program. Just literal analysis of every single church, we can now analyze every church to exactly what number they are doing in terms of any one of the major factors: witnessing, donation, education, etc. We actually can have that data base complete.
A lot of those changes have already occurred. There have also been changes made with the leadership and with empowering membership; i.e. 'owner members' with the right to choose their own leader. It was decided that the condition to be considered an 'owner member' is for a member to have been tithing for at least one year without having skipped even once. To have members elect their leader was a big thing, too, because in the past our leaders were selected either by our True Parents or by other leaders that were above them. However, we developed this new system of giving 'owner members' the right to also vote for their regional directors. The regional director you met in Kang-Nam has been selected by members for the first time in the Unification Church history. Also, the leadership has to be accountable to the congregations. It's directly tied to their professional work and is a key performance indicator. As Kook Jin Nim said, this is not done in a way that a leader manages and let's everyone do as they want. It's the opposite. He has to focus everybody and push them in a strong direction to move and glorify God and True Parents. The purpose is to create result, that is, to successfully witness and to create financial success for the local churches, etc. And we've done that.
For the last 30 years the Unification Church in Korea didn't grow. It declined from 16.000 members to 11.000 members in 2005. Minus growth. When I arrived at Mapo there was actually no hope. There was only a small church with 70 family members. Members didn't feel any hope for the future. And there was also no organization. There was no witnessing team; nothing had been organized. When we arrived at the headquarters church we found the same situation. The church was not run at all. So we actually had to request Kook Jin with the human research department to help us in organizing. The organization you now see at Cheon Bok Gung is the organization that we created.
I explain these things because I want to share with you that many of these things seem as if they can be done if you understand them. And sure, to some degree that's true. But remember, we are a religious organization. And no matter how much you implement these systems, even though you all may seem to understand them -- as leaders you have to instill faith into the membership. You have to have a powerful faith in yourself. You have to be in the frontline running with members: witnessing and declaring True Parents as the Lord and Savior. We've come to a point where the leaders feel embarrassed to declare True Parents as the Lord of the Second Advent. That is the reason why we cannot grow as a church; why we will not grow without finding our faith and our belief that the True Parents are the Lord of the Second Advent; that this is what we believe and that we are happy to believe in this. And what we believe is absolutely necessary for our church to grow. If you don't have that faith, I can guarantee you your church will not grow because the spirit of God will not be there.
I'm so grateful for In Jin ah, because in America we had the same situation. As the American church members may know, for the last 30 years our American church has not grown at all. We have moved from declaring our faith to -- as she said: 'The warm and fuzzy; Yes, we have that peace kind of thing.' And to some level we have become embarrassed about declaring our faith and hiding it. Instead we have been declaring: 'Oh, the True Parents, they are great peace activists.' 'They are a great man and woman of God.' 'Oh, they are great educators, global educators.' Yes, we are comfortable with those explanations, but we have become uncomfortable with, 'They are the Messiah, the Lord of the Second Advent and the Savior of humanity.' That's the difference which can be felt in the churches and communities that grow. They all declare that True Parents are the Lord of the Second Advent… If your churches have not grown during the last 20 or 30 years, even if I don't visit, I can almost perceive from the atmosphere that most likely you don't declare True Parents as the Lord. The evangelical spirit has subsided. The decision to proudly share your faith has weakened. You see, these are the things that are absolutely critical if you want to make success, and as leaders we not only have to want to make but we actually have to make success for our True Parents. This is the reason why we are leaders. If we don't make success for True Parents we should be the first ones to step down when we feel I'm not fit for this role. This is what a honorable leader must do. This is the difference.
I believe all of you can sense the difference in the spiritual atmosphere when we hold the events now. Can you feel it? What do you think it is? -- Well, we met with Muslims and Christians. We were told that 'If you tell them Rev. Moon is the Lord of the Second Advent -- it's too early, it's too fast. They all will be running away, they are not going to work with us.' I found exactly the opposite to be true. I spoke to them and said: 'True Parents are the Messiah; they are the Lord of the Second Advent.' I explained to them the seven deaths and resurrection and that they have inherited a greater type of love than we can see in the history of men. I told them that the love that Jesus could give to the world, the greatest love which he defined in John 15:13 changed the world history for the last 2000 years. True Parents have inherited the parental love, which is even greater. And I went down to the crowd and many of the Muslims and Christians said, 'Oh, thank you, we feel so clarified.' Because, brothers and sisters, they all know that Unificationists believe that Rev. Moon is the Messiah. You know why? Even though you don't tell them, they can look it up in the internet. All they have to do is open up Wikipedia and type in 'Rev. Moon' and they will find that Unificationists believe Rev. Moon is the Messiah. So it's better to tell them straight away because they'll find out anyway. Better to be honest and open about it because when you are hiding it and they bring it up they will say, 'Why didn't you tell me?' This is very strange.
Kook Jin met the Secretary of State in the Blue House the other day. The KCIA director of the military intelligence will be coming for the opening of the Cheon Bok Gung Temple because of him. The World Expo Yeosu leader will be coming. The Dong-a Ilbo Editorial Chief will be coming. All these incredible people are going to come to the Unification Church for our opening. I love to go into the room with him. It's the most exhilarating and funny thing I have ever experienced in my life. Everybody around is trying to say: 'Oh, that's a VIP. Let's speak nicely to him.' -- But Kook Jin tells the guests: 'Thank you so much for all your hard work and support for True Parents. We are so happy that the Lord of the Second Advent has come to Korea. We are so happy that Rev. Moon is the Messiah.' And some of the VIPs say: 'Oh, yes, yes.' Some of them don't know what to say. That is most delightful, because they think about it and they can't forget it. You see, when you want to witness to somebody you need to make an impact on them.
You shouldn't be the same old person they met a million times before. You should make an impact on people and this you can do by telling them straight on what you believe. This is what Kook Jin does. He will tell anybody straight up what he believes. And this is why he has successfully witnessed to so many people. When he came to the Chedan group he had to bring in all new professionals so that the Chedan group was composed of 95% non-Unificationists at the time they started. Three years later 40% of the Group was already Unificationists. They are all newly proclaimed Unificationists. Do they just say 'I'm an Unificationist, I will just hang around with Kook Jin Nim?' No, that's not at all what they do. They also donated a lot to the Temple, the world providence guided by True Parents. Did you know that Korea alone raised 25 million Dollars for the Temple? That was never done in the history of the Korean Church. The most that was ever raised within a year were three million Dollars as a 'Faith donation'. But now the Korean Church offered within one year 25 million Dollars to True Parents for the Temple.
Japan of course, made 70, so we don't want to boast too much, but we were very proud of the Korean members. All stepped up in faith, "We are going to do this. We will do this." And guess what? Out of the 25 million dollars that was raised for the Temple, over 7 million were donated by the new professionals working in the Chedan. They are donating to the Unification Church. It is not a small amount. They are donating $21,000 to the Temple, per person. Now if you have to donate $21,000 you are not going to just talk that you are an Unificationist, you have to actually wrestle with the idea, "My God, I am going to actually invest in the Unification Church. I am actually going to make this commitment." These are the tangible things that he has shaped the organization to do.
And what has been the result of that? The result of that is that church membership has now doubled in Korea. Now church donations are up 110% across the country even though we have reduced the number of churches. So, more is less, less is more. Members can actually congregate, not with just 10 brothers and sisters but in a larger faith community where they can sing together and feel a spirit together and bring guests together. They feel like they want to witness again.
And brothers and sisters, as leaders in your respective countries you are called to bring on this apostolic mission to your countries, and not just called to make friends. You are called to make believers in Christ as Paul did. That is your mission. If you are a missionary, if you are a leader, a national leader or whatever, your mission is to bring believers into Christ. That is what apostles do. That is what the Apostle Paul did, that is what Peter did.
Look in the Acts of the Apostles. They go around persecuted, condemned, Stephen was stoned. They come forth with a strong faith to declare the name of Jesus in a place where it has never been declared, to declare with faith and conviction that the Lord has come, and that it is through Jesus that you will find salvation. You see they come with faith and conviction.
And remember it is the religions that are strong in their conviction that impact the world. You know, Muslims are very strong in their faith. You know that it is a very hot topic about Muslims in the West or in other countries because they are very strong about their faith. You insult their faith, you insult the prophet Mohammed, and they will not stay still. Right? Isn't that the case? They are very strong in their religion, in what they believe. And it is for that reason that they are able to confidently move forward wherever they go. By 2050 the Muslim tradition will be the largest religion the world according to statistics. It will be the largest. But think about it that is how much they protect the value of the prophet Mohammed.
How much do we protect the value of True Parents? When somebody says to us, "True Parents are not Messiah, I don't believe that. They are Korean people, Korean people, Korean man running around, not the Messiah. I don't believe they are God's people". When we hear those words… If you said that to a Muslim, "I don't believe the Prophet Mohammed is God's messenger, I think your religion is quite useless; it's a cult", if you said that he would be absolutely irate. Isn't that correct?
But for how many years do we have to tolerate being called, "Heretical, cult, useless, no future, has no value, crazy"? We must not tolerate being abused in such a manner. We must be confident in our faith, stand up for our faith, stand up for True Parents when people attack them. Stand up for them! Do not allow people to attack True Parents! This is the kind of heart that we have to have, the heart of faith.
The reason why I believe the Korean church has grown so much is because of the incredible managerial expertise that Kook Jin hyung has brought. You just can't ignore it. I work with him for a year and a half. It is just unbelievable! We have decisions that are so hard to make -- because an organization's success is the accumulation of good decisions over time -- and when we have really tough decisions to make we have teams that wrestle with this for days at a time and then at some point we are so flustered we can't answer how exactly to decide this. So many times we have brought it to Kook Jin hyung and said, "What do you think about this?" and within five seconds he has answered the question. And we sit there just simply flabbergasted, "How does he think this quickly, how is his mind that organized?"
It is because of an incredible experience. For 16 years he has been CEO of his own company. He has six US patents. He has created a company from scratch to become a 30 million dollar company per year, with sales of 30 million and a market value way greater than that. He has 16 years of that kind of experience which he brings to the table. When we work with him it is just unbelievable because his mind is so organizational. He thinks as an organization, he does not think as an individual, about his reputation or whatever. He thinks, "What is the best decision for this organization?" And that is the reason why we have had tremendous success.
What people don't understand about Kook Jin hyung -- and many times they just think that he is a businessman -- He is an evangelist. I think you all understand this today, but he is an evangelist. Guess what? Some of the most successful evangelists were merchants. Yes their former profession was merchant; they were merchants. They were selling and buying goods.
He is an incredible man of faith. He brings professionalism to the table but he also brings unquestionable faith to the table and that is why we have been so inspired to work with him. I think the Korean church is just one example because it is essential that the Korean church is strong and successful because this is the Fatherland and True Parents are residing here and we will continue to work in every capacity to bring glory to True Parents. But that fundamentally starts from our admission and our declaration of them as the Messiah and the Lord of the Second Advent.
When was it in the Unification Church that you heard people in big conferences say, "I believe True Parents are the Messiah and the Second Coming"? How many years has it been? Probably 20 or 30 years right? This has been an issue, a problem because I tell you when we declare True Parents; True Parents don't have to do it themselves.
I explained this to the Taiwanese leaders when we were in Taiwan. I have lived with a Tibetan monk for one year. I have known so many Tibetan Buddhists. I met the Dalai Lama. He doesn't tell me that he is the incarnation of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvar which he is in that tradition. He is basically a deity. If you know anything about Tibetan Buddhism, he is a deity. A bodhisattva is somebody who has completely become a Buddhist, a completely perfect and stainless being, with universal compassion, who has mastered the four Bramaviharas, etc. He is a deity! But he does not go around saying he is the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvar. Why? Because every Tibetan you meet will tell you he is the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvar. Do you understand? All the Tibetan Buddhists do it for him. So he doesn't have to be in the spot to do it himself and be jeered at and mocked. They stand up for him in their belief.
This has been the problem of our church. We pushed Father forward, "Declare that you are the Messiah!" We hide in the back. This is what we don't want to do, because it is a tremendous burden to True Father, to True Parents, and because if we are filial sons and daughters that is our job, that is what we are supposed to be doing.
And I tell you when we do that…. As you can sense we are doing that all the time. When we go to conferences, UPF conferences, ILC conferences, we don't care what it is, if you are going to listen to anyone of us talk, you are going to hear that Rev Moon is the Lord of the Second Advent and the Messiah and the Savior. I BELIEVE! You see you are going to hear that. You are going to hear that.
So the atmosphere is different. Father feels that atmosphere. Did you notice in the last couple of days that Father is not speaking for 13, 14 hours? Did you notice that? Why is He not speaking for 13 and 14 hours? Because we are doing our job. We are telling people and educating them He is the Lord of the Second Advent. He is the Messiah. He does not have to tell you that. We will tell you. Do you see what I mean?
So when he comes, he understands because Father can sense spiritually whether or not the crowd is full of believers or doubters. He feels the spirit and then he is confident and then he is able to give the words that he wishes to give but not stressing him, his body and mind, to pour out his heart to convince the one doubter that he is the Messiah.
We have to bring back that spirit of being confident about True Parents; being confident about our faith because it is only upon that spirit, when we believe that True Parents are the Lord of the Second Advent. They come to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ. That it is through their teachings that all the paths are united, where they are brought to the new level of understanding of love, when we understand True Parents have that value.
We were meeting with one Muslim delegate. He said, "You guys have no boundaries." In a good way, he meant it in a good way. He said, "You have no boundaries. You have unlimited potential to grow." This was a Muslim congressman that we were talking to just the other day. "Unification Church has no boundaries to grow because you bring all to the parental love!"
Oh, that deserves applause for the Unification Church. Come on! (Applause)
So for me this was very key. For me doing ministry… I'm going to wrap it up quick. I know I'm going way too long. But for me doing ministry, one of the biggest dilemmas for myself personally because I studied the world religions was, is it true? Do we actually bring a greater type of love? We say we are going to unite all religions, we say we are going to bring them all together. We have a new level of love that would revolutionize the world. Is that true?
Well, I studied the religions; studied the love of Christ, how Christians believe in the Agape love of Christ. We understand that Jesus defines the greatest love in John 15:13, a love that lays down his life for his friends. Lays down his life, sacrifices his life. You can study Buddhism and understand the Bramaviharas one of which is Karuna or compassion, the greatest type of compassion, Mahakaruna, the universal type of compassion that the Buddha will have. You can understand the obedience and the great love that is expressed through that kind of surrendering to God in the Muslim faith. So with all this different incredible expressions of love, if you read, you will be inspired.
Is our truth really greater? Is the true love that we talk about greater? If it isn't, then there is no way really that we are going to bring them to the new level because we are just about the same or less. And so when I listen to anybody talking about true love, it was live for the sake of the other, it was a selfless type of love; it was a love that could defeat any obstacle. But I could not feel what that was. I could not feel what that meant. Does it just mean that I could do a little service work I am practicing true love? Does it mean that I could be kind, just nice? When I bring my wife a glass of water or things like that, then that's the actualization of true love? Is that the level that we are talking about? Of course that is important but, is that the level that we are talking about, ultimate level?
Or is it a love that is like Christ that will lay his life for his friends, or like the Buddha, like the compassion that seeks to save all sanctioned beings or the surrendering of the heart to God? Those are incredible. Those have changed millions of lives. And nobody could answer this question for me in the Unification Church. How is true love greater than the love that Christ showed on the cross?
I talked to theologians, professors, ministers; no leader could explain it. Why is our true love greater? How is it that we are going to bring the religions to the newest level, the new understanding of God's heart? We cannot understand even what true love is. I still cannot get the concept of true love, was my feeling. I know it is the center of the three blessings that I have to unite my mind and body centering on true love that I have to unite the husband and wife and unite in true love. I know that nature and man is united in true love; the great blessings that we see in the Principle.
So what is true love then? And this was a huge dilemma for me doing ministry because if I do not know what true love is, if I cannot explain why it is greater, then I cannot be inspired to preach to you why True Parents have saved my soul. So this was a big problem for me, as you can imagine, because at that time Father had asked us already to take on larger responsibilities and it was a very big burden. Spiritually, I could not answer this question.
At some point I just gave up. I am not going to answer the question because it will not come from me. To make a long story short, essentially, I think now all of you have heard about the seven deaths and resurrections that, when we understand, that even Christians when they want to understand the love of Christ if you want to be saved and redeemed by Christ, you have to open your spiritual eyes. You cannot see Christ with your physical eyes. If you see Him with your physical eyes, you will see a Middle Eastern Jew that died at the age of 33. That is all you are going to see, not even 12 followers. That is all you are going to see. But if you open your spiritual eyes, you will see the man who died for your sins, who was the perfect offering, who died so that you would be free and could enter the Kingdom of God. That is what Christians believe. In order to believe that, you must open your spiritual eyes. You must see Christ with your eyes of faith.
I realized this was the problem. We had seen True Parents with our eyes of the flesh. "They are great peace activists, great educators. They are great mobilizers and peace…" whatever. That is not what they are. They are not peace activists. They are not patriots of a nation only. They are not great educators. They are the Lord of the Second Advent. That is quite a difference.
So when I saw True Parents, viewed Him spiritually, His life course, when He opened our eyes to that, we saw the six tribulations that marked His life course. The six imprisonments, plus the seventh, what True Father himself called the substantial resurrection which was the helicopter attack -- those seven incidents that occurred in his life.
I had a dream about that, actually. Because in the dream, True Parents were there and they were being tortured and beaten and ripped and all that in the prison, but also at the same time their spirits were going into hell.
Just like Jesus in the three days between His crucifixion and resurrection, descended into hell to save the souls that were waiting to be saved. True Parents not only did that once for the salvation of all humanity. They paid the seven stages of indemnity so that we can enter the eight level of perfection. They paid the individual, family, tribe, society, nation and world and cosmic sin that had accumulated. They had to give up their lives, sell their souls. They had to descend into death not just once like Christ, but they had to do it over and over and over for you and me and our children.
When True Parents showed me that, once I realized that, I confess to you, I completely broke down because I cannot see True Parents now with my physical eyes only. Of course I could see them with my physical eyes, not only though because through their life, they have given their souls for me in order to save me, my children. They cleansed me of any individual sin or family sin, or tribe or societal or national; that they actually had to die for me, not just once, not twice, not three times but over and over again so that I could go to the eighth stage, what we call the Direct Dominion of God. God's stage, so that I could enter the world of Cheon Il Guk, the world that God had waited for.
Then I realized, the love that they are talking about is not just service work, it's not just kind-heartedness. It may be some of those things, but it's much more powerful. It's a love that is so heroic and so profound! It is a love that will lay its life down for the children, not once like Christ, but forever, over and over will suffer on behalf of the children, over and over will descend into misery and despair and hell so that we can be free.
Then I realized, "My God! The level of true love that they have been talking about and living is none like I have ever seen or felt in religion. It is greater than the love of Christ who died for our sins and was resurrected by the power of love." They have actualized the seven deaths and resurrections to perfect the eight stages vertically and horizontally from the servant of servant to the servant to the adopted son, step son, true son, mother, father and God's level.
When I understood this I realized, "Oh! No wonder they call true love the parent's heart. Oh! No wonder True Parents are called the True Parents. Oh! No wonder true love is, as Father explains, 'Give, give and forget'." Father says, "Giving and giving and forgetting" but really what Father has lived is "Dying and dying and forgetting". That is the love we are talking about.
And when we inherit that kind of true love -- which is the ideal of creation -- when we inherit that kind of parental heart then we become saints, greater than saints.
With that kind of inheritance of parental heart, now I understand why all the great saints of religions, the religious founders are bowing to True Parents in spirit. And now I understand what price they had to pay to save a fool like me and my kids and my descendants.
And that is why we declare True Parents as our Lord and Savior, not just as our teacher. We declare them as our Lord and Savior who give us eternal life, who give us salvation from suffering, who give us the gift of the parental heart which we don't deserve. And that is why in the Korean church we have been declaring True Parents very passionately.
Brothers and sisters, it is time! As you feel, it is now time for our faith to come back. The Unification Church will not die. I know many people have prophesied that we would die. And many years ago, it looked like we were going to go away. But guess what? We have the power of the seven deaths and resurrections! We have the resurrection power of True Parents!
You may try to get rid of us, you may try to kill us, just like they did to True Parents, but we will be resurrected from the grave every single time, and we will come back stronger, we will come back with more love and we will come back with more faith.
Brothers and sisters, it is now time to once again declare True Parents as your Lord and Savior because that is who they are. Get comfortable with that; get it on the inside of you! Get really comfortable with that, because I know some of you may be still uncomfortable with that. That's the part. Once you are comfortable with that, you start sharing that, I guarantee you; it will change your life. It will change your life completely and you will understand why people talk about being reborn.
Brothers and sisters, all of us really desire and hope for True Parents, while they are here, to see that day that they call Cheon Il Guk, when millions and millions of Unificationists, proud in their faith, all around the world, declare, "Father and Mother Moon are the Lord and Savior. They are my Messiah and nobody can take that faith away from me." When that faith and that community grows, that is the growth of Cheon Il Guk.
There is no Cheon Il Guk without True Parents, think about it. Be honest! There is no Cheon Il Guk without True Parents. Is the Cheon Il Guk that we are seeking just to gather everybody and have a great party and then go home? That is not what we are talking about! Cheon Il Guk is centered on True Parents. It is centered on the manifestation, the inheritor of God's love and essence, True Parents. It is a nation of people that believe and profess and move with spirit, move with purpose with True Parents.
Isn't that what we actually think about when we think about Cheon Il Guk, if you really reflect on it, not the watered down version, the warm fuzzy version that In Jin noona mentioned in her talk? When you really think about it, that's how Father thinks of Cheon Il Guk.
It is our desire, and the reason we are witnessing very passionately and excitedly and why members are joining the Korean church again, is because we want Cheon Il Guk to be established for True Parents while they are here. We want them to see more Unificationists come forth, more faithful believers come forth, declaring, putting their actions where their talk is, stepping up in faith, leading the way, opening up the new future Unificationism which is full of confidence, pride in who we are, strong sense of identity, purpose, and the glory of True Parents and God.
I hope that all of you as leaders, can understand and imbibe this because in the next couple of days, you have the great opportunity to see many reports and hear many things, but let us always remember this is all for the glory of God and for the glory of True Parents, who are the first in human history to have fully inherited, in their life, become the living sacrifice, the living death, the living offering for the sake of the salvation of all our souls.
I hope we can get that on the inside of us, and we can allow other people to be reborn into that amazing life that waits for them.
Let's bow our heads in prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You so much for this day. Father we know that up till now we have hidden our faith. We've not been proud Unificationists. We've been embarrassed about who we are. We tried to modify our conviction, so that we would be more accepted, more popular. But Father, You have taught us through the lessons of time that that is not the way to actualize Cheon Il Guk. Once we can come back to our faith, once we can remember who we are, once we can recall that we are people of destiny, that we are people of purpose, that we have historical significance as the ones who declare True Parents, then we can understand the amazing providential mission that we are undertaking.
Father, we pray that each and every one of the leaders here today will understand and renew that faith, will see True Parents, not only with their physical eyes, but will understand with their spiritual senses, will understand the type of love that will die and die, and has died for each and every one of us so that we can enter the Kingdom of God; the type of love that would sell their own souls so that our souls could be free, Father, not just once but over and over to pay off all the sins of the seven stages to allow us passage into the eighth, Your kingdom.
Father, we pray that we can understand this type of love that has saved us. We pray that we can declare this type of love and the True Parents who have manifested and actualized it in their life, as the living death and the living sacrifice, the True Parents that have had to pass through death and death again, and descending into hell only to be resurrected by the power of the love that they manifest.
Father, we pray that we can understand and feel the power of this love, imbibe this and understand this in our mind and our hearts that this is the type of true love that we must inherit, the great cosmic parental heart, the parental heart which will not only lay down its life for friends, but will endlessly lay down its life for the sake of its children and even for the sake of its enemies.
But we know that when our Unification members come together, stand strong, stand in conviction and stand with faith, and stand, Father, in hope and in belief, there is no force that will overpower us.
We pray that God's blessing may be upon these brothers and sisters here. We pray that Your merciful hand will be in each and every one of their endeavors and we pray that they may offer, may actualize the living embodiment of true love that True Parents have shown us through their life.
We thank You so much Father. Bless them, be with them for the next couple of days, and Father, as they return back to truly inspire and revive this movement for Your glory. We pray all these things in the name of our own brothers and sisters around the world, blessed central families, and the great name of our True Parents. Aju!

Words at the Special Workshop

The following is information from the website Unificationism regarding the 21-Day Special Workshop.
Rev. Kambashi
In the evening on the 5th day of the workshop, instead of the principle lecture, Hyung Jin Nim gave a special lecture on Cheon Bok Ceremony. According to him, Father told all True Children in the world to come to the US due to the current conflicts of Korean peninsula, and he would have to leave for the US on Dec. 20th. The following is the basic contents of his speech:
True Parents suddenly called all True Children to come to the US. I said to him that it was during the workshop, but he said, "You cannot protect Korea. I can do it," and told me to come to the US. When I heard that, I felt like "We must not be confused thinking that we can protect this nation. Only True Parents can do it." We do our utmost Jeong Seong, trust True Parents, believe that True Parents can protect Korea, and pray 'Please do whatever You want to do for Your will.'
95% of Father's words are about true love, however I could not find in the Unification Church how true love actually is. I was at the edge of giving up, and then had a dream of True Father. In the dream, he was severely tortured in the prison. Father went down to hell, giving his physical body to the satanic spirits and said, 'Do not touch the world of nature. I will take responsibility and do whatever you want to do with my body,' and his spirit self was suffering severely. When I got up from the dream, I realized that I had seen True Father before just with my physical eyes. When I saw him with my spiritual eyes, Father went down to the hell, suffered greatly and saved me.
True Parents' love is greater than that of Jesus, and their heart is greater than that of Buddha. True love does not merely mean altruism or kindness, which are necessary for just the first stage of true love. True love of True Parents led them to unprecedented course to even liberate God. They started in the position of servant of servants and reached the level of God, and from there they established the indemnity course from individual, family, tribe, nation and to the world. That's why the love we talk in Unificationism is great. Love that True Father talks is beyond our imagination. He appeared in my dream later again and that time he shined like the lights of thousands of suns.
We do not know what kind of spiritual battle True Parents are in, and what spiritual development they are working for now, but we must know what kind of indemnity they are paying in order to save us and establish Cheon Il Guk. We have to find it out through the Cheon Bok Ceremony which we are doing every morning. We must understand what kind of course they have been through to save us who are incomplete. We must inherit love on such level.
Through the ceremony, one must newly find out True Parents, and understand them with spiritual eyes, and make a new start every morning. That is the purpose of the ceremony. When you purify and offer yourself everyday, I believe you will receive heavenly fortune.

December 19, 2010
Cheon Bok Gung, Yongsan, Seoul Korea
I hope all of you are having a wonderful time during the special 21-day workshop. I think it's really a different sort of workshop this time, because we are able to practice together as a community, too.
Today, I would like to talk to you about our true purpose, the purpose of God. Over the course of the last few days, we've been reiterating many times, I don't know if it came across in translation but we've been emphasizing this point. What is the purpose of creation? This is a fundamental question because the question is, why did God create everything? What is the purpose of God's creation?
You will hear many, many lectures, even in our church, that say the purpose of God's creation was to create the ideal or perfect world where there is world peace, love, etc., or the purpose of creation is the universe that is at peace, even that the family was the purpose of creation. But we have to be very clear about what the purpose of creation actually is and what the result of the purpose of creation is. It is very important to have this clarified.
The purpose of creation from the Principle perspective we know, even in the Hoon Dok Hae we read at the service, is that God had wanted to find the true love reciprocal partner, the true object partner of His true love. That becomes the purpose of creation. Everything of God's intention is moving towards the perfected object partner of God's true love, the reciprocal partner.
We know that was supposed to be the first human beings as we call Adam and Eve, Jack and Jill, or whatever you want to call them but the first human beings, and that was to be the perfected object partners. In essence, we know that even Jesus was to come back and to become that True Parent as well. Simply put, God's purpose of creation is the reciprocal object partner, we can say that a long way or very short, it's True Parents. Adam and Eve were supposed to be True Parents, Jesus was supposed to be True Parents, and of course, True Parents are True Parents. So the purpose of creation, then, is True Parents. That's the purpose. From that, the results will be a true family, a tribe, society, nation and world -- and in that world peace -- universe, etc., but those are the results of the purpose of creation.
It is very important that we understand this very clearly because even in our movement, this has many times not been clear, and you will hear this many times. For us, to know the principle, to know this point is extremely essential. It is the starting point of God that He yearns for True Parents.
In early Christianity, there was also this debate. The Christian Apologists and the Christians at that time were under deep persecution. They were patronized and made fun of and all sorts of terrible things, or even killed. They had to debate with the existing philosophies of the time, different Greek philosophies. So as Doctor Graham mentioned in his lecture, we had competing ideas and thoughts, world views and philosophies like Stoicism. Marcus Aurelius, the Emperor of Rome, was a great proponent, and he wrote on Stoic thought. We have also, of course, the Pythagoreans and the Platonic thought searching for the Utopias.
We see all these different secular philosophies, the Greek philosophies, are searching for a Utopian world or world peace. They are actually searching for world peace. They want world peace as their ultimate goal and their purpose. They also want a Utopian society.
When the Christians debated these philosophers, they critiqued these philosophies, saying, "You are searching for abstract things. You are searching for an abstract concept, the world peace or Utopia. Thus, you'll never get it, because even though you'll get it, you won't know you have it because we don't know what it is. It's abstract. So if you place that as the primary purpose of existence, you'll never actually be able to arrive there."
Instead, the Christians said the purpose of our existence is Christ, the person of Christ, because here we are not searching an abstract concept, we are searching, we are yearning, we are moving towards a personhood, a person to whom we can learn to become true people. We are looking for something very real.
From a Principle perspective, we know there are Abel-type philosophies, like Plato, Kant, and Hegel. These are Abel-type realms, idealism. Then, we have the Cain type philosophies, like Marxism, etc. Those are Cain- and Abel-type philosophies that God will use throughout the providence, and will work, of course, with the Abel realm. But when we look at that, that is still the realm of Abel and Cain, that is still the child's level. One cannot receive salvation through the level of the child, whether it be Abel or Cain, Cain or Abel. We can only receive salvation from the Adamic, the parental level from which we receive true life, love and lineage, where we become the children of God. Do you see what I mean?
It is essential that we understand that as human beings, we need the personal relationship to our savior.
In the Principle, we understand that God, from Logos, or the word, which was one with Him at the beginning of creation, creates man and a woman. From God comes the Logos and from the Logos He creates man and woman. He does not go from God to creating the Logos, to creating an abstract concept like world peace only, but He goes to create man and woman. We must understand that pursuing world peace is a wonderful thing, but it is the Abel-type philosophy and it is not the Adamic or the parental-type philosophy.
It is through the creation of the man and the woman that God yearned to have a reciprocal relationship through which we could actually have His true love inherited, and move in the give and receive action between those two, the subject and the object. From that would come the family, the nation, the world, all expanding to the cosmos, as we know.
Christianity had this point correctly. They were not only like other philosophies that were seeking abstract things or ideals. They were searching as their end goal the person of Christ, the personhood of Christ. This is the reason why God could use Christianity. We know, however, that something is fundamentally missing in Christianity.
In Christianity, what is the purpose of God creating or even saving man? From a Christian stand point, what is the purpose of God's creation, or even His salvation of men and women? In 1 John 4:2, the Scriptures say that God is love, but depending on how you define love, you have a different result. In the Christian world view, it is true we do know that God is love. Christians know they need a personal savior. They are waiting for the return of Christ. If God is love and saves people, for what purpose does he do such a thing? This is essential. In Christian theology, God does not need you as a human being. He does not need human beings, because God is perfect within Himself. If He had a need, He would be imperfect. Since He is a perfect being, He doesn't need you. We have no inherent divine value. God does not need us, but it's because of His grace that He allows us to be in relation with Him. He actually does not need us, or even need the creation, for that matter.
In the end, God saves for God's glory; God creates for God's glory; He loves for God's glory. Jesus was God, in the Christian world view. Jesus healed the sick. Why? For the Father's glory. Jesus brought the dead back to life for God's glory. Jesus performed miracles for the glory of Almighty God, but remember Jesus is God in Christianity.
Jesus performs miracles, he heals the sick, and he brings back the dead for his glory, for the glory of God, and he is God. So in the end, God is in the pursuit of self-glorification because He is the highest being, and so does seeks the glorification of the highest being, which is Himself.
If we take this to be the truth of God's love, that the reason why He saves us, the reason why He gives us a relationship, the reason why He creates anything -- creation, human being, you and me, whatever -- is for His own glory and self-glorification. If we, as human beings tried to emulate that, if we lived our life yearning and seeking our glorification, would that be the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of hell? Think about it. It would be the kingdom of hell.
This is why Christianity needs the returning Lord, and this is why they are waiting for the returning Lord, because the returning Lord does what has never been done in history, what could not be done. That which cannot be done is the revealing of the essence of God; that no longer does God remains a mystery before humankind; that no longer is there infinite gap between perfect and sinful human beings, but that God is made known to men, to the one whom He had sent.
Through True Parents, we discover the fundamental teaching which illuminates the reality of God's essence, which up till now, has been transcendent, beyond human conception, unimaginable, untouchable, imperceptible, a mystery. True Parents define God's essence. In mathematical equations or science, without being able to define something, one cannot use it in a particular equation or a particular formula. Without the definition of God's essence, there is no way one can resemble God.
True Parents come and illuminate what the essence of God is, and we heard it a million times. That's why I say you're not going to be surprised. We do it every time we manifest the Principle: "May I inherit the True Love of God." God's essence is True Love. You've heard that many times and you think, "Okay, I've heard that." Yes, but how we define True Love, that's the key. Even the Christians define that God is Love in the Epistle of John. In the end, when you come down to it, it's a love that seeks the glory of God, that God seeks His glory. True Love as True Parents have explained, True Love, which is the essence of God, seeks not their own glory, but would throw away glory and throw away eternity, throw away all things, even throw away his life over and over, die and die again for the sake of the object partner.
If we were those kinds of husbands or wives, think about what kind of marriage you would have. If the world understood this truth and followed it, would the world then be seeking its own glorification, or would it be serving and sacrificing for others? Would it be the kingdom of hell or would it be the kingdom of heaven? Yes, kingdom of heaven.
This is what is so powerful about the Unification Principle and True Parents' revelation. They clarify the truth of God's essence, and then clarify what that is. Because we know what it is, we are not seeking an abstract concept, but we are seeking the living being who lived that, which is True Parents. We are seeking the personhood, because we are people. We need to seek the example.
If we seek the abstract concept, we are always in danger of self-glorification and arrogance. We are at the mercy of this danger. This old method of relating to God lacks give and take with a real person. People need direct encouragement or chastisement that serves as a guide. Without this feedback, we would be at the mercy of our fallen nature in jealousy and arrogance. So I want to emphasize that in this new era, we are not seeking an abstract idea or concept but to bond with a real live personhood.
Now is a time of challenge for our church movement. There are serious threats of war going on both sides (in Korea). So in this workshop, we have to be careful of what we ask for. We can't simply ask, "Oh God, let there be peace." That is not a principled request, because we know that throughout history, God has used different means or ways to achieve His goals. One of these is to first clearly divide the Cain and Abel realms. With this understanding, we should pray: "God, let Your will be done." Because it is not up to us what will happen. If you think about it, things are unfolding just as the principle predicts. God is in control. God knows all. 2013 is quickly approaching. Our main responsibility as chosen people is to accept the one whom God has sent.
Just as the chosen people of Israel were supposed to accept Jesus and then manifest the Kingdom, we have the same mission. Looking back in history, we see what happened as the people failed to accept and support Jesus. Within 40 years of Jesus' death, Israel was completely destroyed. The Roman Empire took over and the Jews went into exile. So the main mission of the chosen people is to accept the one whom He has sent. It is no different for this (Korean) peninsula!
Have the Korean people accepted True Parents? One hour after Father proclaimed Korea as the chosen nation, Yeon Pyeong was bombed. Obviously, this country has not yet accepted its vital role. Again, the chosen nation must first be aware that the Messiah is coming, then unite with him upon his arrival.
Every day, we must move our hearts in the direction of our True Parents. In this workshop, we must gather momentum and keep going. Our job is to awaken this nation from its sleepy, heavy eyes so that it can accept the Lord that the world has been waiting for 2000 years. He is now in our midst! Let's praise God, Brothers and Sisters! We will fulfill the purpose of Christianity and restore the relationship between God and man. That's why we are here today.
Because of our ongoing yearning and focus on True Parents, there are miraculous things happening. Many testimonies are coming forth. Rightly so, we are focusing on the personhood of Christ, which is the center of everything. In confirmation, the Holy Spirit is starting to descend around us. Yesterday, as we were preparing for service, people were being slain in the spirit. Low spirits are suddenly cast out when this happens. As we develop our filial piety toward True Parents, there is a strong energy created.
Brothers and Sisters, as this nation is so unsure about its future, conversely we have to become stronger and more confident. Christians of the world need our True Parents. If they fail to accept them, they will be judged. There is no alternative. It is a very serious time as we pray for this nation. Let us keep in our deepest hearts the yearning towards the purpose of creation: True Parents!
Let us end with True Father's words:
"Who are the True Parents? That is the question. As our Principle teaches, True Parents are the ones who realize the ideal of oneness centering on God's love. They have fulfilled their responsibility, after passing through the realm of indirect dominion, based on their accomplishments in Principle, and secured their place in the realm of direct dominion of God. They are, for the first time in human history, to establish the ideal of oneness based on the love between God and man."
There you go, Brothers and Sisters. We have real persons there. Praise God!
Let's lift up our hands to send our prayers.
Dear and most beloved Heavenly Father,
This is the day where we discover You again. We breathe new life, coming into Your presence with gratitude and thanksgiving. We feel blessed as we learn that we are Your True Love partner. Our True Parents, we seek for them and yearn for them just as You do. It is at this point we meet.
Dear God, what an amazing thing you have given us, not just abstract concepts but a real person to interact with. You have not left us with empty dreams to chase a mirage. You have given us the living Christ, the person of true love who is willing to sacrifice his own life, spirit and soul over and over again, to go the path of the cross, to pay any price so that all men and women can be saved, to bring back the families, the tribes, the nations, world, and spirit world cosmos to You.
Heavenly Father, it is from True Parents' immense love for us that we can understand their course in the seven deaths and resurrections. Yet the crosses they bore became the bridges we walked over, crossing the chasm of sin and death to return to Your direct dominion. We know it wasn't easy. Through their course, they endured heavy bodies and heavy minds. They shed painful tears and their blood for us.
Dear God, we want to know and appreciate what they have done, which is to give up everything for us, to give up all the glory, all eternity, all praise in order to save the ones that were lost.
Dear God, in this way, we want to understand Your love for us today. We want to seek Your manifestation through our True Parents, and want to reciprocate with them as their children. This is the most beautiful love in Your eyes.
We pray that we can have deep experiences here and You can open our hearts to change our very nature, to change our frequency, so that we can connect with the divine frequency that is moving toward You and Your purpose of creation.
We know that this day is the day You have made. We rejoice in it! We want to be in Your presence and we know that You are guiding us and this nation. We have no fear. We have a new commitment.
We pray we can change this nation, that we can make the blind see, the deaf hear, and the dead be living again with You, not by our own might or glorification, but with thee.
Until my ascension, may I live to glorify You. Aju!
That God's Will Be Done In Korea
Hyung Jin Moon
December 15, 2010
What follows are excerpts from Hyung-jin nim's speech at the opening of the December 15 -- January 4 Special Jeong Seong Workshop for the Inheritance of the Substantial Word in the Era of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, for the Safety of the Nation. It was held at Blue Sea Garden in Yeosu. One thousand members participated in a daily regimen of prayer and other devotions and an educational program that included Divine Principle lectures and family life guidance.
Father has given a special direction to hold this twenty-one-day workshop, and I believe it is deeply significant. No looking at this, I feel, primarily, that a big plan is unfolding. Father has changed the calendar from the Gregorian to the heavenly calendar. He is putting the Western calendar behind him. The world celebrates Christmas and New Year's Eve at the end of each year, but we will celebrate the beginning of the year with True Parents' birthday.'
Coming here, I feel that though we may wish for many things, including, of course, that Korea be protected, we must pray, Heavenly Father, please act according to Your will. This is not a matter over which human beings have sway. Of course, the people have 5 percent of the responsibility for what becomes of this country. In the end, when the Lord comes again, this country, this people, as a chosen people, should accept the returning Lord. Even though sixty years have passed, this nation has still not accepted True Parents.
Therefore, when we pray for the safety and protection of this country, what kind of prayer should we offer? This is very important. Because of what's in the Principle, during this time you should not simply pray, Please give this country peace and safety. We should pray in the following way: Please use us for the sake of Your will and Your country. Heavenly Father we understand that what happens to this country is up to You.
Accepting True Parents is the responsibility that not we members alone but the country as a whole, as the homeland must fulfill, yet is not fulfilling.
As Dr. Seuk said earlier, from today until the designated day, there are exactly eight hundred days remaining. Within these eight hundred days, the homeland, Korea, must accept True Parents. Frankly speaking, when you think about this, that seems like an impossible task. It is not something that we, as human beings, can achieve at all.
Eight hundred days remain. So, during this time, what kind of peace, what kind of protection will we be pursuing? This is a very important matter. Now, we have received a great deal of Unification Church education. In that education, we have often heard that God's purpose for creating was the building of an ideal world, a truly peaceful world. We hear this often in our church, and it is true from one point of view. But, if we know the Principle, peace for all humankind is not the purpose for which God created. It is not. God's purpose for creating was to find His true object partner, a true object partner with whom He could engage in the give and take of love. This was God's purpose behind the Creation.
Next, to put it simply, Adam and Eve were meant to become those object partners. They were supposed to become the True Parents. After they achieved the status of True Parents, peace would come in the family, clan, people, nation and world.
However, peace for all humankind, a true family, a true nation, or the unity of North Korea and South Korea are not what God is concentrating on and pursuing. From His point of view, the pursuit is of true parents, His true object partners, with whom He can have a relationship. A true family comes from true parents. And from them comes a true clan, people, nation and world. This is something that brothers and sisters must be acutely aware of. This is the core of the Principle. The core of the principle is true parents. The center of world peace is true parents.
To speak frankly, North -- South unification is of little significance to God per se. The Jewish people were the chosen people, in the first instance. If the people of Israel had fulfilled their responsibility, there would have been no need for Korea. God chose Korea and has prepared her because the people of Israel did not fulfill their responsibilities. The importance of this is that true peace is not a horizontal peace. True safety is not a horizontal safety. Just because nations are not fighting does not mean you have true peace. That never makes for true peace. If they are not fighting in the present, they may be fighting in the future. That is not everlasting peace.
Eternal peace of the kind God is seeking is vertical peace, peace while in relationship with True Parents, who are the incarnation, and peace within the relationship between God and man. This is true, vertical peace. Only through that relationship, only when humankind is connected with the True Parents will true peace, true families, true clans (tribes], true peoples, true nations and a true world emerge. Aju!
Our Heavenly Father created the universe and all things in it to find the true object of His essence, with whom He can give and receive true love. In short, His purpose of creation is True Parents. I have spoken of this in recent sermons.
The purpose sought by humanity and the entire universe is the same -- true parents. Spiritually, the purpose of the heavenly fortune of the universe is True Parents. Simply put, the purpose which has been pursued by humanity is True Parents.
Only in that relationship can we find not a horizontal and impermanent peace but eternal love, eternal peace and eternal safety. This is the core of the Divine Principle. All Unification Church members need to understand this crucial point.
If you don't understand this, you'll be pursuing the wrong purpose. If God's purpose for creating were global peace, it would be the greatest purpose and True Parents would be just one part of the process of achieving that. On the other hand, if God's desire and reason for creating the universe was True Parents, world peace and the unification of North Korea and South Korea would be processes, or the fruits, in the greater scheme.
God is seeking True Parents above all else. This is in accordance with the Divine Principle and is very important, because in this workshop we need to think about Jesus.
True Father has said that our homeland is God's nation. It is his hometown. Brothers and sisters! When Jesus came to earth, the nation of the Jewish people, Israel, was God' chosen nation, wasn't it? The people of Israel were His people. But did they welcome Jesus or did they reject him?
You know what happened in history, don't you? They did not welcome Jesus, and within forty years, Rome invaded Jerusalem and destroyed it along with the Jews living there. Those who were left alive were driven out. God does not dish out only good things to His chosen people. You can understand this, can't you? He is not always nice to His chosen people. If you don't welcome His son, you too may be punished, just as Jerusalem was. No one knows. This is very serious.
We understand providential history and we know the Divine Principle. So, think about it. True Parents have been here, in the world, throughout their long lives, and still the Korean people have not accepted them.
Jesus should have become the king of kings to the Jewish people. True Parents have come to Korea, so if the Koreans are indeed the chosen people, True Parents should have been received as the king of kings by Korea.
It's very interesting to note that not long ago, an hour or so after True Parents held the New York Assembly to Proclaim the Substantial Word, the [North Korean] attack on Yeonpyeong Island took place. True Parents have proclaimed that the Koreans are God's people and that Korea is the nation chosen by God and that it is His homeland. The question is, have the Korean people accepted this responsibility or not? The answer is that they are ignoring it. So, only an hour after Father spoke, Satan was able to come in. This is not a simple issue.
Anyone who knows about providential history and the Principle will realize that this country... It's not just a matter of it being God's homeland, where one can say, Oh that's it, everything's done, there's nothing more to do.
This nation has its own responsibility, which is to serve the Lord and True Parents and become the center of the world. That work does not belong entirely to True Parents.
That is why I believe this time is very important. We will pursue only one purpose and concentrate on that and nothing else. We will pursue True Parents. This workshop will be different from others. Though we will have lectures on Divine Principle and ontology, it is True Parents that we must actually pursue.
Providential history teaches us that God has made use of conditional numbers. If not every person can do something, at least some of them need to be able to set the condition of having done it.
You know about Sodom and Gomorrah, don't you? God intended to destroy them, but Abraham negotiated with God, asking Him to spare them if he found fifty righteous people, or forty righteous people, and so on. In the end, Abraham made God promise that He would not destroy the cities if he found at least ten righteous people.
From this we can see that conditions can be set. For instance, even if the whole of Korea does not take part, were we to set the condition of having accepted True Parents as our central purpose, inherited the central purpose of the Divine Principle, and pursued True Parents, it would be up to God to decide whether He could accept our condition or not. No matter how much Jeong Seong we offer Him, this is not something that can be done magically. Jeong Seong does not work like magic, bringing changes in a flash as if we are chanting a spell. When we offer Jeong Seong, especially in workshops like this, we need to set the condition as Unification Church members of serving True Parents, and we (representing the chosen people, this nation) need to give God and True Parents much strength.
It is not that God and True Parents are weak and require us, or our Jeong Seong. That is not why we should offer Jeong Seong. As we offer it, we are establishing a righteous heart. We need to have a righteous heart and attitude, and we need to form the right relationship with True Parents.
Therefore, during this workshop we will concentrate on doing that. In Cheon Bok Gung, we begin every morning with the Cheon Bok Shik. You will also participate in this ceremony, in which we honor True Parents' life course. It includes holy wine and holy water ceremonies, but mainly it deals with True Parents life course. True Parents followed the path they were meant to take to save us and to give us true life, love and lineage.
You should not look with only your physical eyes. Being aware that True Father was tortured and made to suffer in prison six times is actually a low level of understanding. Considering only those facts would be observing True Parents with only your physical eyes.
In relation to Jesus, if Christians said that he did nothing but suffer the most horrendous agony, they could not claim to be Christians. Jesus followed the path of the cross and even went down to the bottommost pits of hell to become a living sacrifice to our Heavenly Father and to save us as our Savior. Therefore, we Unification Church members do not aim to do away with Christianity, or Judaism. Rather, we will complete the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Completed Testament, through True Parents.
We begin our mornings a little earlier than others. Each morning we will hold the Cheon Bok Shik and think about True Parents' course of seven deaths and resurrections. True Father not only endured suffering in prison, he also walked the path of death. He fought with Satan. He had to go to the bottommost pits of hell and fight spiritually for us.
During this time, we should open our spiritual eyes and meet True Parents. True Father is much more than a ninety-two-year-old grandfather or global leader, and True Parents are not just ordinary people. They are the substantial representatives of God.
In this workshop, we need to return to True Parents. We need to rediscover them, spiritually, which is why every morning we will take some time to inherit True Parents life course and the course of seven deaths and resurrections and to offer prayers, beginning from tomorrow morning.
We will also follow a set schedule each day, which will include lectures. From noon to 6 pm, we will also have many interesting programs.
Your spouses and children are also welcome to participate in those programs. You will also go mountain hiking and train yourselves to have dominion over all things. I hope this will be a good time for all of you.
Usually, in workshops, the participants are made to attend lectures from morning until night, but in this workshop, we have minimized the number of lectures. We still need them, because we need to receive nourishment from God's word. So we will attend lectures, but at the same time, you are here in this beautiful city of Yeosu, so you will learn about the ocean providence, go fishing as True Parents do, and spend some quality time with your children if you have come with them.
At night, we will all meet together and attend a service for spiritual healing. This service is not about healing ourselves because we are sick. Rather, miracles will be wrought here. When we offer Jeong Seong in the right way, amazing miracles will take place here. Aju! [Applause]
Therefore, in that service, we will offer eog-mansei for True Parents. We will do nothing but that in those sessions. We will not have lectures or anything else. We will just sing "True Parents eog-mansei," for thirty minutes to an hour. We will do our best to send our best energy to True Parents, pool our Jeong Seong and send our good thoughts to them, so that True Father, who is having some trouble with his legs, will be able to tread lightly from now on. This is what those sessions are for.
With such Jeong Seong, our love will transcend time and space, even if True Parents are in another world. Love transcends time and space. Aju!
Let us train ourselves to pool our Jeong Seong every night and send out our greatest energy to True Parents. Every night after the session is over, I will call Father and ask him, Father, have you received energy from us today? We will all need to do our best during this time. [Applause] Please do your best to send your best energy to True Parents. With this thought in mind, I will call Father and check up with him every night to see how well we are doing.
This twenty-one-day workshop began all of a sudden. We all must have had other plans. I, too, had other plans. However, a great heavenly blessing and heavenly fortune is on the move. In the world we cannot see, our very cells are vibrating. There is energy and vibration. The invisible world has many bad vibrations as well, doesn't it?
Everything is being done for the safety of the nation within the flow of heavenly fortune. The universe and God seek vibrations that can right all wrongs. What are they? They are True Parents. We need to be in tune with them.
Only when we are in tune with them can we move with heavenly fortune and with the invisible world, and only when that is brought about can God move this nation as He desires, though we may not know what the future will bring.
At the end of the workshop, when all the programs are completed, we will need to bring everyone in our homeland to find True Parents. Whether that happens or not, whatever result we face, when we step forward, we need to prepare the chosen people of this nation, whom God has chosen as His people, to restore their ancestral homeland, to find God, and to return joy and love and the glory of True Parents to God.
You all need to work hard with this purpose. You should not forget this. According to God's will, we should offer Jeong Seong and send out energy to True Parents, seek out True Parents and open our spiritual eyes. If we can do all this, great vibrations will be generated in this small space, vibrations strong enough even to move heavenly fortune. I firmly believe that even when True Parents are far away from us they will feel that vibration and that energy; I believe they will guide us until 2013 and show us the day of victory and the glory of God. Aju! [Applause]
The Beauty of Love
Hyung Jin Moon
December 12, 2010
Cheon Bok Gung
Yongsan, Seoul, Korea
Today, I want to talk to you about the beauty of love. But before we do that, I have to make a brief announcement, because in my life, there is the most beautiful love and that person is one person, very special. She is my everything, my all. That is my beautiful wife. It was her birthday yesterday. We had a wonderful surprise party yesterday; very cute. They tried to hide in one of the rooms but it was totally obvious that they were hiding. But it was very beautiful so we were very grateful.
Let us start with the world scriptures. Let us start from Confucianism today. This is from Chu Hsi:
Benevolence is simple undifferentiated gentleness. Its energy is the springtime of the universe and its principle is the mind of living things in the universe.
Aju!
This is from the Qur'an, the 39 Sura:
Those who act kindly in this world will have kindness.
Aju!
And from the Judeo-Christianity tradition, this is from Proverbs 8:17:
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
Aju!
Of course, the Word of God, this is from True Parents, Vol. 6 Selections of Sermons of True Father:
First Corinthians 13 states "faith, hope and love abide… but the greatest of these is love." But people do not understand what love is. What does it mean to love with your whole heart and mind and soul? It means that you love even risking your life.
Aju!
And as Father commented on that core scripture, let us move in to the Biblical scripture, upon that scripture, First Corinthians 13:
Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Aju!
When we look at Christian traditions, we see that the description of the love we see is the description of the love of Christ. Yes! It is the love of Christ. And Christians really explain the predicament of man in a simple way, but in a clear way. Number one, God created man to be with Him. That is number one. Number two, because of sin -- that can be anything from the betrayal of Lucifer all the way to the smaller sins we accumulate every day -- we are divided or separated from God. That is number two. And number three, Jesus Christ paid the price so we can walk on the bridge that is the cross to go over the deep chasm and get back to God.
Now as Unificationists, we also agree on this. From the Principle perspective, we know that the path of Christ to go on the cross was not the intended pathway, but through that pathway, by having faith on that pathway, we can actually find spiritual salvation through the love of Christ. God created man to be with Him; we are separated from Him because of sin, divided from Him; Jesus paid the price at the individual level so that we can cross that bridge. I like the metaphor, 'cross the bridge', that is the cross over a deep chasm, so to speak. But we also know that Christ was also be able to liberate the families, the tribes, societies, nations and world, even the spirit world, back to God. And he eventually needed to liberate God as the True Parent.
The Christ himself was to become the True Parent. When we look at True Parents' course and life, we can see that as the continuer of the mission of Christ, who has received the mission of Christ the returning Lord, we can see in True Parents life course many tribulations, we can see seven great tribulations; the different imprisonments and tortures that True Father had to endure through his life. We call this, in short, the Seven Deaths and Resurrections. That through these tribulations, physically he was tortured and beaten and bruised and scorned, but spiritually also; just like Jesus descended into hell, True Parents had to fight, even in this world, thousands of Satan, thousands of evil forces and even descended into hell.
With that kind of heart, he went through those deaths and resurrections. And those signify the different levels of crosses, from the individual level to the family level, to the tribe, society, nation, world, and the cosmos including the spirit world, that he had to hold, so that we could cross the chasm, not only ourselves but with our children. That we could cross the chasm with our clans, that we could cross the chasm with our societies, the nation, eventually even with our spiritual world and get back to God. Eventually, to the point where God Himself can see all of humanity in oneness with Him, in give and receive action with Him, be liberated from the cross.
When we praise and sing songs of praise, we are doing it with this motivation, with this type of heart; when we are talking about the name of True Parents, the holy name, that even True Parents said thousands of times, "Do you know how much suffering God had to shed to even find the name?" We can see that we are praising and we are reflecting on the immense love that allows us to get back over the chasm of sin and death and return into eternal life with God and True Parents. If we understand this love, if we understand this grace, then we understand that the only rational response is to return gratitude and glory, to praise that name, to have a sense of responsibility for True Parents; for their health, for their well-being, for their victory, for their glory, for their happiness [and for] God, of course, being the un-manifested True Parents, and the manifest True Parents being the True Parents of Heaven and Earth.
When we are able to fulfill this kind of give and receive action, then we can feel joy. That is not temporary. But that grows overtime; that can grow everlasting as filial sons and daughters. See, in our life, we have to live for something and many people in our lives, many people in this world, live for money and power, fame, these kinds of things. We have to choose to live for something in our lives. But living for God and living for the One who paid the price for us to reach God once again, when we are able to live with that purpose and move with that purpose, then we are accumulating the stuff, the merit, the good works, the good deeds, the heartistic accumulation, that even when we pass does not stop at the grave like other material things. And this is the motivation out of which we chant and praise and worship and sing worship songs.
It is very important to understand that when we are praising God, when we are praising True Parents, it is not because they have some inadequacy within, or they are weak and they need some encouragement as human beings. It is not because of that. God asks us to praise a higher power. It is for us that God asks us to praise His goodness. Because God knows when we focus on higher things, then the everyday natures of our lives, which are filled with obstacles and challenges and people who are getting in our way are put into perspective. And by focusing on the higher goodness, we are able to overcome those things with a greater grace and a greater power. In the end, God asks us to praise Him not for His own sake, but for ours.
In times of difficulties, when we try to face these endless obstacles that come into our lives, then we can face them one by one. We can try to face them one by one, fight them one by one. Use different methods to get over them one by one. But when we are able to work to focus on the higher purpose, the purpose that truly means something in the afterlife, is how much we have served God as our creator and how much we have served the one that He has sent as His representative. And this is the heart by which we praise, this is the heart by which we worship and have the practice of singing praise. You see, by praising the name of Chambumonim [True Parents in Korean], even Chambumonim Eog Mansei, we are moving into that power that overcame the tribulations of the tortures and the different prisons that True Father had to go through in his lifetime for the nations and for the world. We are tapping into that power that is unseen that is beyond our power.
In the 13th century, there was a man, by the name of Leonardo Fibonacci. He was the one who introduced Arabic numeral system to the western world. He was the first one who brought the Hindu-Arabic system that we all use in the western world. In this numerical system, he also discovered a sequence that is also consistent in nature, which is known as the Fibonacci sequence. That is incredible, it is very simple. You know, 1 + 1 = 2, and from 2 + 1 = 3, 3 + 2 = 5, 5 + 3 = 8, 8 + 5 = 13, etc. This sequence is called the Fibonacci sequence. And this sequence revolutionizes the mathematical world. Totally changed! He discovered something incredible about the natural world and its creator.
Let us take a look at this very interesting video presentation.
The Fibonacci Series
Back in the thirteenth century there was a mathematician by the name of Fibonacci. Fibonacci constructed what is called 'The Fibonacci series'. Now you can see this on the screen, It's a very simple thing. In the Fibonacci series you add one number to the next number to get the next number.
1 + 2 = 3, 2 + 3 = 5, 3 + 5 = 8, 5 + 8 = 13, 8 + 13 = 21, 13 + 21 = 34, and on and on and on.
You can follow the sequence across.
Fibonacci pointed out some interesting things there; that if you divide for instance 144 by 233 you get the number 0.618034 and if you divide 55 by 89 you get the same ratio. What's interesting about this is that architects took Fibonacci's material and they started constructing various kinds of objects; buildings, things that have particular design features and one of the things they found was you get what is called pleasing rectangles if you use the Fibonacci scale. So if you look at the rectangle at the bottom of this screen you'll notice that the length and width of it have a certain ratio and, for instance, if you made the length of the thing 13 and made the width of it (or the height of it as you are looking at the screen) 8 feet you would have Fibonacci numbers and this would be called a 'Fibonacci rectangle'.
Now, if you are like a lot of my high school students they say 'so what?' Well, that leads to some interesting things. For instance, if you cut a square off a Fibonacci rectangle what's left is another Fibonacci rectangle. Mathematicians love this kind of stuff. So you see all kinds of things written about how the Fibonacci sequence works.
You can also construct what is called a Fibonacci spiral and what architects have found is that people not only find the Fibonacci rectangle aesthetically appealing but they also found that the spiral that you can construct off a Fibonacci rectangle is aesthetically appealing and we build staircases out of Fibonacci spirals. We use Fibonacci spirals for decorations on things. We have all kinds of artistic things in which Fibonacci spirals have been used because people like and enjoy Fibonacci spirals; but do you know who else apparently enjoys Fibonacci spirals?
Apparently God does, because the Fibonacci spiral occurs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (sic) in nature. We see curves in nature that match the equation that you see now on the screen. Let me give you some illustrations of this. When you go out into space and you look at a galaxy, and in this picture what you are looking at is called a 'spiral galaxy', what you find is that the arms of this galaxy curve with exactly the same curvature that you saw in the Fibonacci spiral in the last frame. The mathematical equation which describes the arms of this galaxy fit the equations of the Fibonacci curve perfectly.
When you look at a wave you find that the curl of the wave matches the Fibonacci spiral perfectly. You watch water go down the drain, counter clock wise in the northern hemisphere, clockwise in the southern hemisphere. Do you know what the first thing I did was when I got to Australia? I went into a men's rest room and pulled the plug. Sure enough the water went down the drain the wrong way; but actually that force is too weak for it to be reliable but nonetheless the point is that water goes down the drain in a Fibonacci spiral. The equation describes perfectly what's happening.
And somebody says, 'Alright you got a gravitational something or other going on here'. No, no, no, no, because when you have zero gravity and you have sub atomic particles they curl with a Fibonacci spiral. When you balance gravity by buoyancy like in sea shells the curve of the shell is a Fibonacci curve. The equation describes it perfectly. That's true in fossil forms; it's also true in modern living forms. As a matter of fact in your own garden you can go out and see Fibonacci spirals in the snails in your garden.
You see Fibonacci spirals in the horns of every living thing you can imagine. All of the different animals that inhabit the Earth use Fibonacci spirals for the curvature of their horns and that's also been true of the past because fossil horns show the very same thing. When you take a look at the curl of the teeth of a Ground Hog it curls with a Fibonacci spiral. When you look at the beak of every bird you can imagine, they all curve with a Fibonacci spiral. When you look at the tail of a Chameleon it curls with a Fibonacci spiral. When you look at vines of pumpkins, potatoes and tomatoes they all curl with a Fibonacci spiral. When you take a look at the petals of a Magnolia they curl with a Fibonacci spiral. When you look at Sunflower seeds they curl with a Fibonacci spiral. When you look at the back of a Pine Cone it curls with a Fibonacci spiral. When you look at a finger print, the pattern of the finger print, curls with a Fibonacci spiral.
On the floor of the ocean there is a living thing called a Christmas Tree Worm and its plankton straining mechanism spiral up with Fibonacci spirals. The proboscis of a moth curls with a Fibonacci spiral. A spider web curls with a Fibonacci spiral. The brain has Fibonacci curvature in it. Cortalla algae, inside the little algae fragments, have Fibonacci spirals. The DNA helix has a Fibonacci spiral. We see the Fibonacci spiral in the cochlea of the inner ear. We see the Fibonacci spiral in the umbilical cord of a baby. Are you picking up a pattern?
You see when you look at the natural world, Fibonacci discovered that this sequence occurs everywhere, everywhere in the universe. It occurs how the branches emerge from a tree and even how your heart veins spread out. The interesting thing is that there is no evolutionary advantage to having these shapes. You are no more fit in having Fibonacci spirals on your fingertips than if you had square fingertips and fingerprints. So there is no practical purpose for these shapes other than that they're balanced, they're beautiful and they're aesthetically pleasing; that they have balanced proportions. Through this mathematical perspective we can see in nature that the Creator of the Universe also enjoys beauty, enjoys balance and proportion. He enjoys this because we see it through all of our natures; from the petals, of a tree, of plants, to the different fine textures of the plants, etc. In chapter 1 section 4.2 of the Divine Principle we see that the mind has emotion, intellect and will. Let's read this together. 'When the body responds to the mind's emotion, intellect and will, its actions pursue the values of beauty, truth and goodness, respectively'.
Now when a give and receive action is occurring in the Principle perspective between subject and object, then [through] the love the subject returns, the object will return beauty. Between spouses: of course in Korea they mistakenly call the husband always subject and the wife object. That's not true from a Principle perspective. They can switch! Don't mix this up, husbands, very important. But when we reciprocate love to our spouse, then we receive beauty, either both ways. When parents reciprocate love to their children, they receive beauty in the form of filial piety; that is the beauty that children can return back to their parents. When we reciprocate with nature then we can find beauty in nature just like Fibonacci did in the natural world. So God would feel the greatest joy and experience the greatest beauty; beauty which He seeks, because God is not only a powerful intellect, an organizer that created the universe and all the different factors that had to be incorporated there, but He is also artistic; He seeks beauty.
When He would see His children, freely out of free choice, choose to inherit His true love, not selfish love but selfless love, love of the parent, He then would see reciprocated to Him the greatest beauty. He would enjoy and feel joy from the greatest beauty, from His beautiful creation. When we look at the principles of beauty, truth and goodness, what is the greatest beauty, what is the greatest truth, what is the greatest goodness, out of all things? The most beautiful thing, of course we know the answer to what is the most beautiful thing, is true love. The most true thing is true love, when one acts selflessly for the greater purpose. What is the most good thing, when one lives in accordance with that? To live for the greater purpose, that's the greatest good as we see it.
Love is the center of all these aspects because it is the essence of God Himself. This essence was never described in theology; thousands of years of theology. God is transcendent, unknowable, and in the end, a mystery. His essence cannot be known. But the Principle and True Parents reveal to us the essence of God's nature. This is essential from a mathematical scientific standpoint, because if you cannot define something, you cannot approach it. You cannot approach it. So when we look at the history of the world, then what is the greatest example of God's Love for the world and the universe? Of course up to this point we could see that it was the love of Christ, the love that would sacrifice; the love that He talked about in John 14, the love that would sacrifice His life for His friends. The greatest love He said.
But we can see the greatest love in the life of our True Parents. We can see the greatest love that was manifested for us, for our families, etc. We can ride that cross, get on the cross as a bridge to get back to God. In mathematics, there is something called an asymptote. I know that you all have studied math very diligently and you all love math and there is something called an asymptote.
So the question is: we see in the Principle, very clear, the Messiah is not God. He is not the Creator; whereas in Christianity, Jesus is God the Creator of the whole universe. He's actually the creator God; He's not just the Messiah. He is actually God. But in the Principle, we're very clear on this point, the Messiah is not God. He's not the creator God. He's not God, He is a man. This is very important because right now we see True Parents become one with God.
We also hear the substantial representation of God on Earth. The manifested True Parents. God is the un-manifested True Parents. True Parents are the manifested True Parents. And one would say then, "Well then they're God." We can ask this question. But this is why understanding math and an asymptote is very important. Look at the right side corner; we see that the curve goes up toward the Y axis and it goes right up all the way.
Now when you look at this curve, you are going to assume at some point, because the curve and the Y axis becomes closer and closer and closer…to infinity, at some point it's going to touch, right? It seems like it's going to touch. They are going to get so close that they are finally going to touch. They are going for a long time so finally they are going to touch. But those two lines will never touch. They will infinitely get closer, but they will never touch! They will never touch each other. They will not become one line. This is very important. You'll say, "Wait, when I look at this, it feels like they are going to touch." But when you do it mathematically, we can use a simple equation; 1 divided by 2 is 0.5, 0.5 divided by 2 is 0.25, 0.25 divided by 2 is 0.125, 0.125 divided by 2 is 0.0625, etc.; we can do this for infinity. It will never reach zero.
In the same way, when we go up that curve, it's never going to actually be the Y axis. It's going to get infinitely and microscopically closer forever ad infinitum. But it will never actually be the Y axis. In the same way, when we understand math, we understand Principle is very mathematical, very mathematical. Our theology is extremely scientific, mathematical. In the same way, True Parents have inherited God's essence, His true love. So much so that they can come infinitely closer to God and become so close just like that curve to the Y axis, they are still two, but basically indistinguishable; so close, continuously, that they're basically indistinguishable. They basically look the same, but they're still two. When we understand that this curve is being pioneered by True Parents, the curve itself is being pioneered by True Parents, in resembling God, in getting closer and closer and becoming God's representative. Getting closer, infinitely closer but of course remaining two.
Then we also understand that through this path, through following True Parents, through also understanding their path through praising, adoring the love that they shed upon us, to save the world, then we too can start walking this path like the curve. Now we won't become True Parents, we won't become God but we will be able to become infinitely closer, when we walk in a path of True Love. This is not possible in other systems of theology because God and man, for example in Christian theology, are completely separate. God is perfect and man is imperfect, he is sinful in his nature, God is totally pure. So we can approach God through Christ but we can never resemble God, we can never become God-like. But mathematically that's wrong. Because in this perspective, we can see even in this asymptote, although we don't become that Y axis, we can walk so close, we can get so close. If we throw away our own ego self, we get so close, everything we act, do, think is just how God would act, do or think. It is just how True Parents would act, do or think in that situation; in total selfless, sacrificial True Love. You see how amazing the Principle is when we understand its depth. It has so much incredible…it's so mathematical and scientific. I was never a math fan myself but this is exciting for me to see this. I hated math, I hated math, but now I love it!
Through the seven deaths and resurrections like that True Love of True Parents, that will die, give itself up, die, die, die over and over for the sake that the children will be free. We will do that as our parents maybe once or twice but this is endless, this is the endless love of God. This is the type of love that we talk about in the Unification tradition when we talk about True Love. We're not just talking about, you know, saying nice words all the time, this kind of thing. We are talking about a phenomenal, heroic love that is beyond imagination, beyond what we normally perceive as friendly love. It is a heroic love and this love as we see from the True Parents is beautiful; this is the most beautiful thing in God's eyes.
The most true thing when His creation, when His sons and daughters try to inherit this love. The most good thing, the most true thing, the most beautiful thing, this is what God seeks. This was the purpose of creation to find the one, the reciprocal partner through which He could give and receive love; it's essentially very simply to find the True Parents. That's the purpose of creation. So when we sing the name True Parents, when we praise the name True Parents, when we say Chambumonim Eog Mansei, when we're doing some event and everybody's very tired and it's been going on for three hours and we're sleeping, many of us are nodding off, but then at the end we get up and we do an Eog Mansei, then everybody feels totally refreshed. Are you ready, lets Eog Mansei. (Hyung-jin nim leads three cheers of Eog Mansei for God, True Parents and Cheon Il Guk) Oh Lord have mercy because now you move with a different vibration (applause).
Immediately we feel different because there's a different vibration there, different sequence. When we receive this love and grace with humility and praise, then we can also become more beautiful. Just like God seeks the beauty of the Fibonacci Spiral, then also our love that manifests can be like that, beautiful like a Fibonacci Spiral. Beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, balanced love that returns, that comes back to God. That gives Him joy in the purpose of creation, feeling the goodness of His creation. It is with this heart that we want to practice love and when we go to Yeosu we'll have the time every night to practice on the meditation of Chambumonim Eog Mansei. This can be done at fast speed or slow speed, but let's all get back to one more time understanding the universe itself is all energy, quantum energy. You are quantum energy; everything is vibrating in and out of existence, although you cannot see it. Just like the light spectrum, we cannot see the entire light spectrum, we can only see a little bit. What we can't see is more manifest, is more the reality of what the universe can experience.
When we understand that the purpose of creation was the reciprocal partner of True Love, basically True Parents; what Adam had to do, what Jesus had to do. Basically what we understand, it is True Parents. Then when we connect ourselves with the name of True Parents, with the heart of gratitude and offering praise, then we start changing our vibration. We can start changing what is coming out of us. We can start changing our frequency. We can start connecting to the frequency that moves towards the purpose of creation. Thus we become different. So let's now enter into our brief [meditation]; not a long time, usually we do a little longer time in our morning practice. Let's do it a very short time. Let's all prepare ourselves. Let's close our eyes and straighten our back. I want to ask you to put your hands on your heart, on your chest. Lay two hands on your heart. Let's gently close our eyes and let's feel, first of all our heart beating, the warmth of our heart, the hands.
Then we will also begin to chant the vibration, chant Chambumonim Eok Mansei. We are going to chant together with the Hoonsa Nims. Let's sing together with that type of mindset. (Singing begins)Feel the vibration moving through you. Together we sing. Chambumonim Eok Mansei… feel the heartbeat… feel the energy… you can feel it moving through all your body…focus on the sound, the beautiful vibration of the sound, the waves…one more time…one voice, one voice, altogether, one frequency… one more time… move with the flow of the universe…ride with the sound of the universe… focus on the higher power… one more time… spiral… your thoughts… 7 deaths and resurrections, the love of the parent…praise Him… last time, one more time… change your vibration, change your sound…feel the vibration on your heart… (singing ends) Aju.
Let's finish by reading the last collection of words from True Parent's words Pyunghwa Shingyeong Peace messages 125. Let's read together:
"True love is the well spring of the universe. Once a person possesses it, true love makes that person the center and the owner of the universe. True love is the root of God and a symbol of His will and power. When we are bound together in true love, we can be together forever, continually increasing in the joy of each other's company. The attraction of true love brings all things in the universe to our feet. Even God will come to dwell with us."
Aju.
Let's all stand and let us all rise and let's lift up our hands as we pray a final prayer. And really as we're praying let's muster our energy as if we're sending our strength to True Parents. Let's pray.
Prayer
Dearest most beloved Heavenly Father, thank you so much for all that you have done. For Father, this day, we want to come to know you. Father, we want to come endlessly closer to you, like we saw True Parents, Father, through the endless love that they bestowed upon us; to save us, our families, tribes, nations, world and cosmos to get back to you, to come back to you over the deep chasm that has separated us from you with sin and death; but now, Father, bringing us back into eternal life, a life that we can be together with our family in your presence. Father, this day we want you to know that we want to muster our strength; we want to change our frequency, Father.
We want to change our energy; we want to connect with the energy of the purpose of your creation, the reciprocal partner that you sought for. Father, we want to move with the flow of the universe, the heavenly blessing of the universe that moves towards True Parents spiritually. We want to connect with that power, Father; use us in a great way. Father, we pray that today we can send this energy, this heart of devotion. Let it spiral out from us in beautiful sounds resonating through the universe and give True Parents strength. Father we pray for True Parent's health. We want to have a sense of responsibility for their health, for their victory and for their glory.
We want to be those types of children that can return that beauty and love to them. Father, please anoint us this day so we can come forth as a new creation. We can emerge from this sanctuary with a totally different tone and a totally different sound. We can, through our lives and in difficulties allow the power of calling Chambumonim ok mansei to melt away any fear, any hesitation, any distress, any suffering so that once again we can connect back to you and your songs that you sing to us as your children. Father, we can come back to you eternally and return to your bosom. We pray and are grateful; we follow the path of True Parents. We want to endlessly come closer to you, forever and ever, in our names. Aju.
Thank you.
The Power of Attracting the Universe
Hyung Jin Moon
November 28, 2010
Cheon Bok Gung, Yongsan Seoul Korea
Main Sermon:
Today, I would like to talk to you about the "Power of Attracting the Universe." Let's first start with our World Scriptures.
We start with Islam today. This is from the Qur'an, from the sixth Sura. Let's read this together:
"No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision; He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things."
Aju.
Let's look at Judeo-Christianity. This is from Isaiah 45. Let's read together. This is very short but very powerful.
"Truly thou art a God who hidest thyself."
The Unseen, yes.
This is from the Diamond Sutra, the 26th chapter from Buddhism. Let's read together:
"Who sees me by form, who seeks me in sound, perverted are his footsteps upon the way; for he cannot perceive the Tathagata."
which is the Buddha. The 'dust come one' actually in Sanskrit but basically it means the Buddha.
This is from True Parent's speech volumes 105, let's read together:
"You cannot see God even in the spirit world. Can you see energy? God is the original source of energy. Therefore, even in the spirit world He cannot be seen."
Aju.
We go to the core scripture now, which is incredible, though. For the core scripture we go to Job 11:7-9:
"Can you find out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limit of the Almighty? It is higher than heaven-what can you do? Deeper than Sheol -- what can you know? Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea."
Aju. Beautiful.
When we look at our lives, everybody in this room is the same; you are all seeking the same thing. All of you. Your age doesn't matter, or your societal rank, or your background, we are all seeking the same thing. Actually this is the first truth of the Principle. It's actually the first sentence of the Principle, or the first two. That is that all of us, all of us, without exception, we are seeking to find happiness. We are seeking to avoid pain and suffering and to find happiness. This is the first truth in the Principle. It outlines the human ordeal.
All of you, whatever your endeavor, you are doing it because you believe it makes you happy in some way. Whether you are a doctor or a teacher, or a criminal-it's the same thing-we are unknowingly seeking happiness and avoiding suffering. This is the first thing we meet in the Principle and it outlines our human condition.
The problem is we seek for the happiness in the wrong places. True Parents teach us of two different types of happiness. One is external and one is internal happiness. Usually without consciousness or thinking we are seeking external happiness. So we are seeking things, items, fame, prestige, cars, money, power, pleasures. We are seeking, thinking that this will give us happiness.
I gave this example in the second service. We had a lot of students here and they love 'Hello Kitty' so I said: "Only if I have the Hello Kitty pencil case I will be happy and once I get it and a year or so passes and Hello Kitty is all rubbed of and is not there on the pencil case anymore, then I'm not so happy anymore." Then I need something else to feel happy about. So we seek this and that, right? It can be anything, there are many things that we seek for in our lives and we think that that's what will give us happiness. But it always ends up unsatisfying, somehow it is not lasting. It's very temporary pleasure and eventually disappears.
In this modern day we are all born in hospitals. Most of us here, I believe, were born in a hospital. I know in my Korean services many of the elder members were not born in hospitals, they were born in their houses with midwives. But most of us in the modern world are born in hospitals. Most of us will also die in a hospital. Most of us. Many people in this room, when they re-enter that hospital for the last time upon their deathbed they will look back at their life. It is said that you can see your life in slow motion, as you are right about to pass. You look back at your life and say "What did I do? Who am I? What did I live for? I'm still unhappy! I still don't feel happiness." So many people die like that.
"In my life I acquired this, I acquired that -- big houses, big cars and so on, but now I face death and I'm not happy. I'm scared, full of fear. I don't know how I lived my life."
True Parents teach us that there is an internal happiness. This internal happiness is different from external happiness. External happiness is, when we feel the pleasure of temporary material things or what fame or these things can give us. We may start at zero when we are born and we are seeking happiness, even a little baby is seeking for its mother's milk and safety. Then we feel some kind of temporary joy and maybe we go up to 100 on that scale. But eventually we come back down to zero and again we feel empty. This pattern continues always going up and coming back to zero. So when we are born and when we die -- when we look at it all, still we are asking the same question. "I'm still at zero. I haven't improved!" So many people die like this.
True Father teaches us about the internal happiness. That is different in nature because through internal happiness we have to seek to answer these questions; fundamental questions. "Who am I? What is my purpose in this great universe? What is my connection to this universe?"
We know from science that this universe was created 13.7 billion years ago -- it has a definite creation. So then, what is my relation to this creation? What is my relation to its Creator if there is one? What is my relation to all this? What is my relation to the Messiah? I heard he was here, what is my relation to him?
When we seek to live in internal happiness, the questions that help us, lead us towards internal contentment and happiness, fulfilling the questions of 'Who am I?', 'What is my purpose in the great scheme of things?'; 'If God created all things am I just here, created, to live on myself, or is there a purpose to my existence that is connected to Him?' Answering those questions, finding purpose in those questions, living our life with that purpose and direction and through that helping, gaining merit, doing good deeds, saving souls -- this kind of happiness is different.
Unlike external happiness where we drop back to zero when we have the pleasure and the come back down, this kind of happiness is different. When we are able to find our fundamental nature and who we are, upon that we can act in accordance with our Creator and move with Him, move for Him, live for Him. It is within Him that I have my existence, Scripture says. Then we are doing something incredible because every time we feel the joy, when we come back down, we don't drop back to zero, we drop back to maybe one. We are up just a little bit. When we live for others and we feel the joy that comes from that empathy, may it be empathetic joy for another person's success, or helping them to succeed in a test or whatever, living the Principle-we feel the joy. But it eventually comes down and comes back up again, not from zero but maybe from a two this time. At a three next time.
As we live our lives in this pattern, then when I die I'm not at zero. I'm not the same way I was when I came in, just seeking happiness, not knowing what it was. I have done something that leaves a legacy on this earth and I have done something gaining much merit and good deed that I take into the dimension beyond.
Depending on our focus on either internal or external happiness, you will have a different frequency coming from you. A different energy will be coming from you. Two weeks ago we talked about the purpose of the creation. All of creation has a purpose. God wanted to find the true object partner that was to be Adam and Eve-that was to be the perfected object partner. The whole purpose of 'Give and Receive Action', 'Four Position Foundation', 'True Love' is to reciprocate with the object partner; the object partner that has divine, absolute value.
To sum it up in a very simple way -- the whole purpose of the universe whether it may be 'Give and Receive Action' or 'Four Position Foundation' that existed before creation, all that is connected to the object partner of God whom we first should have seen in Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve should have become the True Parents.
In a nutshell, the whole purpose of creation was, to find the True Parents. That's why we call them the 'Cosmic True Parents of heaven and earth'; the whole purpose and energy of the universe moves towards that direction. In the 'Four Position Foundation' in the third blessing, it is that subject partner in terms of the creation that gives and receives with the perfected person.
This motion towards that perfected subject partner, which was to be Adam and Eve, is what in Korean is called 'Cheon-un'. We can maybe say 'heavenly destiny', or 'heavenly flow of destiny'. Destiny implies some final destination but this is the flow and movement of energy towards that. The energy is moving towards God's perfected object partner.
Two weeks ago we talked about that the whole universe when you go into its fundamental units of existence, when you pass the atoms and particles etc. and go down to the most basic level, we reach the quantum level, which is energy; energy which is vibrating. We know also that every vibration has a frequency. Everything in the universe has a frequency. We may not see it but it has a frequency.
We also emit frequency from ourselves. Every electrical signal in your brain that's perpendicular to a magnetic force also has a frequency. We don't see it, we don't feel it, we don't even know it's there but we are emitting frequency all the time. Every thought, word and action is emitting frequency. Many times we can see this, when we are complaining and are in that kind of mindset we are attracted to other people that complain or we attract them and are also attracted to them.
We even will attract bad situations that make us complain more. Of course, this was the topic of the international bestseller "The Secret," talking about the whole law of attraction. There was a study, an experiment that was done, where they planted twelve different trees in a garden. Upon those trees they put the names of Jesus' twelve disciples. They had the names of Peter, Andrew, James, John, Phillip, Bartholomew, Thaddeus, Simon etc and on the last tree, the twelfth tree, they stuck the name of Judas. They put Judas' name on it. After a certain period of time they came back to review the trees, all the trees were healthy but the tree with Judas name was dead. It was dead! They received the same sunlight, the same environment, the same amount of rain-but it was dead.
Without knowing, people who passed that tree cursed it saying, "Judas, you bad tree!" sending bad chi and that influenced and killed it. Whether we realize it or not, we are sending out force and energy. The world of the invisible is more real than what you can see.
I asked a question to our students in the second service: "What color is my shirt?" It is beige or a kind of white color and they all agreed with me. I said "You are all wrong! This is not white." When you look at this shirt and you see the molecules -- there is no white molecule, there is no white quantum, there is no white nucleus, and there is no color."
It is white to our eyes because we can only interpret a certain level of the light spectrum. We cannot perceive UVB light, gamma rays, x-rays, etc., we all learn this. If we could perceive those things this shirt would not be white to you. It would be completely different in experience.
What we can hear is also limited. We obviously remember the whistles that they have calling your dog. We can't hear the sound but the dog can hear it. We have a limited range of sound. The person who thinks what you see is reality, is deluded. You see? What you see as reality is delusion. That is a deliberate thinking.
Most of our reality we cannot see. Most of the reality of the universe we cannot see and experience. We can't experience all those gamma and x-rays all over the place which is the majority of the universe experience.
The universe senses our frequencies and also picks up frequencies. Picks up the signals and frequencies immediately from the object partner -- the thing that moves towards the absolute subject partner which of course is God from the four position foundation; we know that. The horizontal subject partner is the perfected Adam and Eve or the True Parents. The universe was meant to be in a give and receive relationship with them and so it moves towards them.
We see this knowledge and wisdom and we talked about this subject two weeks ago within different traditions. We talked about Mantra forms of meditation two weeks ago. We talked about how in Buddhism there is a chant of recitation of Na Mu Ah Mi Ta Bul. If you're a Korean you heard that. Na Mu Ah Mi Ta Ba in Sanskrit. You may have heard Om Na Ni Bat Mae Hum. You may have heard from the Japanese society. You may have heard Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo, which is praise to the mysterious Lord of Sutra. In the Islamic tradition we have the recitations of the Ninety nine names of Allah in a meditative form of prayer. When you penetrate the deeper levels of meditation, even in a more simple level in each heartbeat, then the recitation of Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah… is like this.
We see in a tradition of Christianity, monks that practice 24-hour recitation of the Jesus prayer; "Lord Jesus, Son of God, forgive me a sinner," which is a continuous repetition of the same mantra phrase. We talked about these things and if you knew anybody from these traditions. I did; I knew one Japanese guy, when I was at the Divinity school from Sokka Gakkai that the tradition was to chant Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo. They do this two times a day, daily chanting 20 minutes to 30 minutes a day; and by chanting, they see many things that they pray for and miracles appear in their life.
This one young gentleman was telling me some of those stories that he experienced in his own life. Think, if the phrases, the sacred phrases Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo those kind of phrases has the frequency to attract blessings, attract success, etc., the power to move forces unseen, then think about the entire purpose of creation. Think about the power in the name of Chambumonim which God before creation already had as His final plan; to meet and to give and receive with. Think about the power in that name that is unseen. Think about the vibration, the frequency that comes out of that name.
Father has spoken many times to us saying, "Did you know how much God has gone thru tears, sufferings and pain to find even the name of True Parents?" When we are in this kind of mode and training, if we can train to practice with the name Chambumonim, this starts changing our frequency from a normal frequency and changing it to the purpose of the cosmos, the universe. Where the movement of the universe is moving as a created world, then we are tapping into the flow of what we are talking about; the Cheon-un, the cosmic flow of heavenly destiny and also heavenly fortune.
Think about the power that's in that name when we know how to use it. Then think further about why it is so precious that True Parents are with us on this dimension of time and space. Think about how precious, even if that name is that precious, and then think about how precious that manifestation is on this dimension.
I remember one time we were in America and we had one Christian minister brother who met Father for the first time and he came on the stage and Father grabbed his hand and then did this iron palm to the stomach. It is like a Buddha palm. It is like you see in Kung Fu movies. The Minister, a big guy, was shocked and said, "Oh thank you Rev Moon…." We got a report from him later. He actually had stomach cancer, and Father smacked him there. He said he went to the doctor the next day because he felt this is weird, but my stomach feels a little different; the cancer that he had just the other day was gone after that experience. Let's give it up for God and True Parents. (Applause). That's a miracle! (Applause).
That minister certainly says it's a miracle and he is happy all the more. He does not have stomach cancer anymore. We can see then why the power of the woman who touched the hem of Jesus' robe was cured of the illness. The whole cosmos, the energy that flowed to Jesus as the center, as the True Parents that was supposed to be; Even tapping with that frequency, touching that physical presence, being in that presence, that energy comes forth. When we start learning how to change the frequency that comes forth from us from internal sound and then from external sound, then we start learning how to change the whole direction of where we're moving. We learn how to tap in with the power of the flow of the universe, the Cheon-un.
When our families learn how to shift our own frequency, our vibration (all energy gives vibration), then we are all energy; then we learn to tap in with this flow, and all tribes, nations, world, and cosmos. When we learn to live a life which is centered on the praise of God, praising God and True Parents, and we live our life that way starting from our consciousness, our thoughts, our words, our habits, and our actions change, etc.; our life changes. We end up accumulating different types of merit, all different types of level, and all different kinds of true merits that are not disposable when we die. These things come with us when we pass into the different realm.
These things are also the legacy, the impact on other lives which remain. When we arrive at the hospital bed for the last time in our lives, we are not the ones, we don't want to be the ones who say, "I'm still not happy. I don't know what happiness is. I still don't know my purpose." We want to be in the boat in a situation that says, "I lived my life for God my creator; the One who created all of these things. I freely lived my life for Him and the One that He has sent. I loved them, protected True Parents, protected God, I elevated them, praised them, glorified them, brought souls to them, changed many, many lives."
When we lived with this kind of accomplishment and when we meet True Parents on the other side, in heaven, it's not in a dimension where they are the same as us. It is said that they would be seen as mountains, big as mountains. When we approach them and come before them in that world and we have lived for them as they represented God, won't they look down with pride and joy upon the children who did such things? Won't they be grateful to those children?
As a Unificationist, it's important that we understand once again the transcendental power; The power in the name of Chambumonim. In the praising of the name of Chambumonim, that's what praises are all about. When we sing the song or praises, not just the song we're singing, we're changing our frequency, and we're changing our make up from the inside. When we learn to chant the words Chambumonim Eok Mansei, we send to our breath on that, we breathe with that, heartbeat with that, movement, thoughts, action with that.
When millions of Unificationists around the world start discovering the power in the name of True Parents, start releasing the Chambumonim Eok Mansei into the unseen world with our thoughts, actions, breath, heartbeats, then we will not only be receiving the heavenly blessing; not only attracting blessings that have to come, not only attracting the heavenly destiny, the flow of the universe that we can move with but we will also be sending protection and energy to True Parents beyond time and space. Just like yesterday we were singing the song of praise where Father said, "I felt the energy." We will also be protecting True Parents. I pray if we do such a thing, they will live beyond 120 years, way beyond and be with us. (Applause).
There is immense power in the unseen world. Don't be fooled by just what you see. This is very limited; the unseen is what is truly real.
Let us finish with True Parents final words. This is from the collection of volumes of speeches page 98. Let's read together.
"Since the invisible God has no bodily form, the True Parents represent His form. The True Parents are parents on the level of the individual, family, tribe, people and nation. In the future, God will appear in the form of the True Parents even in the spirit world."
Aju!
Brothers and sisters let's all rise and as we rise this time, we lift our hands up to really send forth our intention, our energy towards God, True Parents as we pray. Let us pray.
Closing Prayer:
Dearest most beloved Heavenly Father, our most beloved True Parents, the cosmic True Parents of heaven and earth. Dear God, we know why the lady who touched the hem of the Lord's robe was cured miraculously. Father we know, we know now the power of the One whom You have sent.
Father we look back on the purpose of creation, the purpose to find the object partner who could inherit Your true love in give and receive with You that is none other than True Parents. Father, when we become enlightened to that fact, we can see the power that is within even the name of True Parents.
Father, with the praising of True Parents name, You as the manifestation of True Parents, True Parents as your manifest of True Parents, Father, we know we will start tapping into the unseen reality, we will start attracting totally different reality. Our lives will change. Father let us do it always with a selfless and humble heart for we know that as soon as hubris comes in, the blessing will go. So Father let us do it always for You. For the praising of True Parents name, let us live with that direction and purpose Father, and when we pass to the other world, Father, we know that You will greet us with open arms and with joy.
Father, we pray that You may open our eyes to see beyond the material, to see beyond just external happiness but, Father, may we be the ones that can look deeply within, pass the seen world and into the unseen. Father, that we may reach into the flow of the universe, the movement towards True Parents, that we may tap into that and move with heavenly fortune and move with heavenly blessing to each and everyone of us, so that You may bless more lives and souls.
O Lord, we want to discover once again this incredible power that is always with us but our eyes have been closed. Father, let us open our eyes today. Let us once again, Father, from our hearts, with each heartbeat may we reverberate with the calling of praise Chambumonim Eok Mansei. May each breath that we take reverberate with the sound and vibration Chambumonim Eok Mansei; may each one of our footsteps reverberate throughout the cosmos with those sounds.
Father, we pray that we may send forth that power to our True Parents. May we move with the universe and the cosmos and give them strength to live to glorify You our creator. We thank You so much because we want to find our true purpose, who we truly are, and what our relationship is with You.
We thank You this day and we pray that You may feel joy this day. We pray all these things with gratitude and calling of the name of True Parents Chambumonim Eok Mansei. We send forth our hearts, our minds and our intentions. Father, feel our joy this day. Change us from this point and allow our lives to make a new step into the world of the miraculous that you have prepared for us.
Glory be to God.
We pray all these things in our own name, the Central Blessed Families and we bow before You and before our True Parents of heaven and earth; we pray these things in our own names, Aju!.
